No one wanted to make the phone stand

Saturday

It rained all night and I felt like I was awake for most of it. Not that it kept me awake. RLS did that. I rubbed magnesium oil on my legs, but it didn't last. So we stayed in bed late.

It might have been 9 when we got up. It was still raining. Trying to make up for such dry summer? I took supplements and did chair squats and practiced my trombone. I made fiber gel. I made and ate egg salad. The internet was down (probably due to rain) so I worked on blog posts, then made more breakfast mix.

Chris gave me a massage, then he took his shower. I finished the breakfast mix, then took my shower. I ate fiber gel and started making breakfast. I paused with several ingredients to refill their containers. Usually I read e-mail or lay out in the sun, but today neither option was available. So as I ate, I read pdf's that I had downloaded.

At 2 I went to the chapel for sewing class. But no one came. So I worked on making a template for the kite. I couldn't access the website, so I used my memory. I sketched it out on the cardboard side of an old flip chart and cut it out. I wasn't certain about the triangle in the middle so I left that alone.

At 3 I took a basket of yarn and stuff that someone left at the chapel, and went to the swap shop to drop it off. I also picked up a bag of straws. I went home. Chris wanted to make rice but could not find the rice. I had taken it to the chapel in case I needed more filler for the phone stands. So I took the kite I had made on Thursday and went back to the chapel. I compared the kite to the template and saw that it was wrong. There wasn't enough cardboard left to cut out another right one.

I took the bag of rice and went home, gave it to Chris. I fished out my recorder book and practiced the C scale. Still no internet. I jotted notes for my blog. I e-mailed my progress on the kite project to Eryne. I watched a couple of videos until the buffers ran out. I read some of the comments. I went into my sewing room to commit a neatness. I ended up binding the edge of a frayed pillowcase. I also sorted some scraps.

I ate the rest of the fiber gel. The sun came out, so I sat out front and finished my book. I went back in to heat up some ground beef mixture for supper. Eventually I took the paraments that were sitting around, and went to the chapel. I left them in the front row. I turned on all the lights in the sanctuary, hallway, and fellowship hall. I started making another kite template using the kite itself as a pattern. I taped pieces of cardboard together to fill in the gaps. Casey and Cedric came, as did Michele and John.

Then Leilani came to say she and her mother were waiting for Rhythm Class. So I went to the sanctuary. We got out drumsticks and tapped our way through the usual rhythm sheet. I showed them how to do it with a recorder.

Afterwards, they left. I went back to the fellowship hall. Jenni had joined us. I finished the kite template. We all chatted. Casey set up a Nintendo simulator. I started playing Mario 2 and John joined in to show me how. Then Michelle arrived. She showed pics of what she is ordering her daughter for Halloween. Michele gave her advice. Michele and John left. I watched Michelle play Mario II. She asked me about watering my plants while I'm gone. Then they left. Jenni and I cleaned up, turned off the lights and locked the doors. We went to our respective homes. The internet STILL wasn't up. I added to my Saturday post, even though I couldn't post it.

I listened to an audio that I had downloaded. I hardboiled some small eggs, and made a batch of cheese squares. I packed clothing and toiletries in a suitcase. Then we went to bed.

Bra-shopping

Friday

I got up before 8. I took supplements, etc. I did some chair squats and played through Edelweiss on my trombone. I ate two boiled eggs and checked e-mail. I stopped at the swap shop to unlock it by request. Then I arrived at the chapel for Math Morning. I got the doors unlocked and the lights on. The Clark family came with their 4 kids. She had something for each of them to do. Especially Moira. I spent most of my time helping her with dividing fractions. And we stayed late to finish a few more problems.

Afterward we all went home. I posted for Project Night on the community Facebook pages. I ate fiber gel, then laid out in the sun. It was spotty because of the clouds. I made breakfast, then ate outside for a little more sun.

I made a grocery list, then we went to Tooele. Chris parked at Luckeys and went inside to shop. I walked to Melanie's. I shopped till Michelle got there, then paid for my items.

I got in her car, and she drove us to a small bra shop in east Salt Lake that does prefessional fittings. The sales lady was very helpful and knowledgeable. Bras were $75 and very supportive. I ended up buying 4 and putting one on a wish list. That means when they send me a coupon for my birthday, I can have it mailed to me.

We talked as Michelle drove us back to Dugway from SLC. She parked in front of my house and we talked some more. After she left, I went inside to have supper and get ready for Game Night. Jamie was mowing my yard. We spoke briefly, then she continued mowing because the day was darkening fast.

After supper, I put on my new bra and dress and necklace. I took a pic and sent it to Michelle. I worked on my blog, then picked some greens for Michelle and made a bottle of tea. I drove over to her house.

Casey had the game loaded. I played the game while Michelle brought up pics of faces with makeup and asked which look I wanted. They all looked too madeup for me, but she picked one and sent it to the lady who offered to do our makeup for the ball.

Somehow I lost progress on game from last week to this week. So I had to catch up on some stuff I had done before. I did unlock a new place, but died right after that. I wish I had saved just before I entered. There was also a puzzle that I had solved last time that I was missing a piece to this time. But I could not find it anywhere. At 11, I saved the game and shut it down. Michelle had gone to bed, so I thanked Casey and went home. Chris was still up. I finished my blog and went to bed and he came soon after.

Ladies Night In

Thursday

I got up before 7:30. I took supplements, etc. and checked e-mail. I broke down boxes for recycling. I found a stove manual online, and learned that the griddle is cast iron and needs to be seasoned.

At 9, I went to Bible study. We talked about questions that were raised last week and did not get to read more from the book of John.

I went home to check e-mail. A message from Saronna said she wanted to get in the swap shop. So I went to open it. I invited Saronna over to pick dandelion heads later. Then we both drove over to ACS to see Keli's puppies at the library.

I ate fiber gel and laid out in the sun. Then I came in to make breakfast and watch The Highwire. I also posted for Math Morning. Then I texted Eryne to ask what I was supposed to bring to her house. When I didn't hear back, I drove over there. I got her text just as I arrived, so I went home for the hole punch. I went back to her house. We made 2 sled kites according to instructions on a website. I used sticks the size of chopsticks and she used straws. I decorated my kite. We flew them, decided they looked like ghosts. We took pics of her daughter flying one. We decided who does what and went home.

I washed and wrapped the stove griddle in tin foil. I finished watching The Highwire. I got ready for Ladies Night and ate some ground beef. Since so many were going, I asked Chris for a ride. We picked up Michele and headed up to the house on the hill.

He dropped us off and we met Suna walking up. I ran the doorbell and Ria let us in. Many ladies were already there. There were drinks and I had lemonade. I talked to a bunch of people. Then we got plates and picked up food from the spread. It was lovely! Janet took pictures. Basically there were almost 20 women and we talked in groups.

I moved between the groups, keeping an eye on Michele. Then we gathered into a group for a photo. Then the colonel's wife had us go around the room and say one interesting thing about ourselves. Then we settled back into groups. She turned on music and the disco lights. I danced with that group for a bit, then sat back down with the couch group. Michele disappeared. Apparently she called John to pick her up. Finally Michelle took me home. I spoke to Chris, then worked on my blog while he went to bed.

No weights today

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30. I prepared for Coffee morning. I tapped and meditated. I laid out in the sun for 40 minutes to make up for yesterday. I cleaned the bathroom and washed the dishes.

I tried the Shark vacuum, but then it died. I got out the Kirby to finish up. I found eggs on my doorstep. I steamed a batch of eggs, then walked to the post office to get the mail and check on a package. The notice I got on Saturday said it was delivered. So I waited till Tuesday, then contacted them. Today I discussed it with the post office, then found it in the guest room. It had come Friday so I didn't make the connection.

I picked dandelion heads for Saronna. I made the sewing project. I took pics of it and cleaned them up, then posted for the sewing class.

Chris came home while I was sewing. He brought in the box with the new teapot and then he went to Mass. When he got back, I left for the gym. Michelle had posted a weightlifting class on Facebook. I went in and looked around. No one had seen her. I texted her, then sat on a bike and pedaled. Davis came to talk to me. Then Steve came and said he saw Michelle talking to someone in her yard so he didn't think she was coming.

So I left the gym and went to Michele's house to give her a zucchini and ask if she is going to Ria's party tomorrow. She said yes. John came out with the trash. I asked him about joining handbells, and he said no.

When I got home, I washed the new teapot. I worked on my blog. Michelle texted me that she forgot about the class. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then he went to bed and I stayed up to fill in my VMIS hours for the month of September.

Pink Christmas fabric

Tuesday

I got up after the 7:30 alarm. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I took supplements and drank hydrogen water. I made a week's worth of supplements. I ate 3 small hardboiled eggs.

I read messages and listened to several presentations. I watered the plants on front porch. I looked at pink Christmas fabrics online, figuring I could make Christmas pajamas, or at least a top.

I ate fiber gel. It was raining, so I didn't lay out. I read, then made breakfast. I opened the swap shop for a lady who asked, but I didn't stay. I checked mail and went home with a package. I ate breakfast.

At 2, I went to see Saronna. We played through two Christmas pieces till we got them right. She told me the kids couldn't come to sewing class on Saturday. When I got home, I chose a sewing project that I didn't think kids would like.

I read math memes on Pinterest. I chose one of four pink fabrics to order. It was on Etsy, but I went to the sellers website and saved a couple dollars. I ate fiber gel, then read some more. Chris came home. We talked. I put supper in the toaster oven. I went back to reading online. When it was hot, I ate supper, listening to a podcast.

I worked on my blog, then made tea in a spare coffee pot. It didn't pour well. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Chris stayed up for a bit, then went to bed. I stayed up till 11, then went to bed, following the usual protocols.

No phone service

Monday

I got up at 8, having slept pretty well. I brushed my teeth, took supplements and got dressed. I checked messages, then got out new filters for the Berkey. I looked up a video on priming them. Then I primed the filters and set them aside. I took out the old filters and washed the Berkey unit. However, when I put the new filters in, the new wingnuts would not screw down. So I had to get the old ones out of the garbage, wash them, and use those. I sent a message to the Berkey website to notify them of the problem.

I mashed the last two hardboiled eggs with goat cheese. I topped it with pumpkin seeds and ate it. Guacamole works better, but it was gone. I put 6 eggs in the steamer. I worked on my blog post for yesterday. Michelle messaged me that her phone had no service. So I tried mine, and got the same result. People posted on the Facebook page asking how long the phone service would be down.

I went to the commissary. Chris was just coming out. He handed me the chapel key from Michele. I shopped then paid and walked out. I saw Erynne putting groceries in her car. We talked.

I got home around noon. Chris was home cooking for me, and getting ready to spend the night in Tooele for some meeting. He told me the latest tap water test for arsenic was still high.

I ate fiber gel, then laid out in the sun and read. I came in for breakfast. While moving the stove grate, I knocked the teapot and it shattered. I was barefoot, so I had to step carefully to get the broom. I swept it up. I had an extra coffee pot, so I put it on the stove to make tea. The handle started to melt so I moved it over a little.

I made and ate breakfast. I listened to a podcast on dog behavior, then one on menopause, while looking at teapots online. I finally ordered one, but it wasn't quite what I wanted.

I walked to the post office for mail. I drove to the library and made copies. I got a book and went home. I checked for math memes since I had used the last one on Friday. I found a lot.

I heated ground beef in the toaster oven and messaged with Myra. Then I went to band. I hurriedly picked two hymns for Sunday. We played them, plus Christmas music. Michelle came toward the end and sang along. She and Keli and I looked at the handbells. They might need a tune-up – or whatever maintenance applies to handbells. On the way home, I stopped at the garden and picked squash and zucchini. I also checked the irrigation.

I went home. I looked at math memes on Pinterest, then they devolved into all kinds of puns. It was after 11 when I pushed myself away to take supplements and post to my blog. Then I got ready for bed.

Vacay is over

Sunday

We got up together in the middle of the night to shuffle off to the camp bathrooms. Sadly it was raining lightly and I should have thought to bring in the folding chairs (although it might have been too late). Although there was grass, the bottoms of my slippers got muddy.

I didn't sleep much after that. I got up when I heard the voices of children from another cabin. It wasn't raining any more. I went over to Michelle's cabin to fill my water bottles. She was trying to get the fire started. I walked through deep weeds to get wood from the pile. I could only carry two logs. Casey met me and took one. He put one in the fire pit and one along side. Cedric peeled bark off of the second one for kindling. Casey used 'boyscout water' as he called it. But only the kindling and charred wood from last night would burn.

I went back to the cabin to make and eat my usual breakfast while Chris took a shower. Then I went back to her cabin to hang out. She boiled water for oatmeal. I ate some blueberries. Then we packed up the food table. I went back to my cabin to pack. Chris moved the boxes and luggage to the car.

Then we went in search of the older gentleman, grandfather to the lady in charge. He took us inside the A frame to get the hearts and tongue that I had purchased. We put them in the cooler, having to take everything else out. He talked about coming to Dugway sometime.

Chris stored the cooler in the car. We followed Michelle and Casey to Great Basin National Park to the visitor's center. I sat outside in the sun while the others went inside. I asked the park ranger about the blue flowers because I have the same ones in my yard. She had an app called SEEK. She took a picture and the answer was 'asters'. Short ones, to be sure.

We headed back, but they had to stop. So because of the frozen meat, we continued on, arriving in Dugway about 3:30. We unpacked the car and the damp camp chairs. I set them up to dry out. I unpacked the food boxes and the meat and my suitcase. Chris started laundry. I walked to the post office for mail, and watered the plants. I thought about going to the pool for the last day, but was too tired.

At 5, I threw the last of the ground beef in the toaster oven. We signed into Discord for the family game. As usual, while the others discussed next steps in terms I didn't understand, I checked messages and pieced puzzles. I saw Michelle post a pic from the pool, with a rainbow in the background. I asked her for pics of Great Basin for my blog.

After the game, I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I stayed up to catch up on e-mail, then I got ready for bed.

Great Basin National Park

Saturday

I got up around 7. I hadn't slept well, but not for any particular reason. In the middle of the night, I got up to sip water and walk to the bathroom, and rub magnesium on my legs. After that I was pretty comfortable, but sleep would not come.

I took morning supplements, then went to Michelle's cabin to get water from the outside jug. I gathered up clothing and toiletries, then went to the camp bathroom to wash up and get dressed.

I went back to the cabin to eat a boiled egg and share with Chris. I tried to set up my laptop, but I didn't have the right cord. I went to see Casey, but ran into Michelle, who had just the right cord. So Chris and I sat together on the bed in the cabin on our laptops. I tried to finish up the tapping from yesterday.

Michelle messaged that she had casserole and hot chocolate. So we put down our laptops and went over. She had a fire going. We all had breakfast together, each eating what seemed best to them. There were doughnuts and marshmallows and pineapple, homemade sourdough bread. I had pineapple and a piece of bread. She had coconut butter for it which I put on, but then found out it had vegetable oil, so I toasted it over the fire till the 'butter' dripped off.

We went back to our cabin to finish up. I went to see the lady who runs the camp. I wanted to pay for the cabin and buy some meat for tonight. But she was about to run a cave tour. But she said she'd meet us by the A frame to settle money and sell some meat.

I went back to the tapping. After I finished that, I watched a Rama walkthrough to see what I missed. Then I posted to my blog for Thursday and Friday and jotted notes for Saturday.

I sat on the bench in front of the cabin, watching for the lady in charge. Isadora and Michelle sat with me. When the lady arrived, we talked about buying meat to take home and meat to cook tonight. She took us to the A-frame and we looked at heart and tongue for taking home and 6 steaks for tonight. She had to go get her other phone to run the payment, then we settled the cost of meat and the cost of the cabin. She gave us the steaks and Chris set out the steaks to thaw.

Casey and Isadora and I took Michelle's car and went to Great Basin National Park. We drove up to over 10,000 ft above sea level. Then we went walking uphill, looking for a lake about a mile and a half away. It was quite intense exercise and I did not go all the way. But I wished I had brought my phone. Since there was no phone signal at the camp, I figured the park would be the same. But there was signal, AND the most amazing birch trees dressed in glowing yellow leaves. No pics.

When we got back to camp, Michelle was trying to start the fire. I got Chris from the cabin. He got the fire started, put more wood on, and cooked corn and the steaks. It was all marvelous! Michelle searched on her phone for large inflatables that would look good for Halloween. Also costumes for the kids.

It got dark. Everyone was tired. Chris went back to the cabin. Casey declined to set up the Rama game again. So I went back to the cabin to check e-mail and catch up on my blog. Then we turned off the lights and went to bed.

Bates Family Ranch

Friday

I got up at 7:30. I started packing from the list. I went to Math Morning 5 minutes early. I started reading a book. Saronna arrived with her kids. Then Michele came to get the chapel key so she can open up for Project Night. After she left, I tried to keep the kids quiet so they could concentrate on their math. Saronna took Jedediah to the sanctuary to count the chairs. Eventually he will get the hang of it.

After Math Morning, I went by the gym to give Steve the squash and zucchini for the food pantry. He talked about picking pears from our community tree and that made me uneasy. Later I thought I would rather give him money to buy pears than have Dugway pears leave Dugway.

I stopped at the post office for mail, then went home, and continued to pack. Chris took a shower and went to the office. Michelle texted that she would pick me up at noon. As I continued to pack, and have a last breakfast, she texted that she would be late. As I finished each box, I moved it out to the front porch.

When she and Isadora arrived, I was ready. We moved my stuff to her car, which was pretty packed. Then we stopped at the office to leave the cooler in Chris' car. We also stopped for gas. I had her use my credit card to pay for it since they were bringing both of their cars.

We headed for Delta to meet Casey and Cedric. We arrived just before they did. Then Casey, Cedric and I decided to go to the burger place. Michelle and Isadora left with the dog. However, after buying burgers, we caught up with them. However, we had to stop for gas which let them get ahead. Then we followed in their dust to Gandy.

We got to the ranch about 5. Casey had the code for the cabins. Our cabins were farther apart than I liked. And there seemed to be no apples this year. An old man told us the apples were cyclical. However, Isadora and I found one with small apples high up while we were enroute to filling the 5 gallon water jug. She got a long stick and stood on a chair to knock some down.

We took them to Michelle who was making apple crisp. Casey and I and Cedric set up tables and folding chairs. Isodora and I went looking for wood. That's when Chris showed up. He helped us carry small logs from a pile in the back. He build a fire. Michelle had metal rods for cooking hotdogs over the fire. There were marshmallows as well.

After eating and talking, Casey set up the game and a sheet to project it on. I played Rendevous with Rama while everyone else kind of disappeared. A man from the cabin next door came over to see what I was playing, but he didn't stay long. At 11, I was stuck, so I shut down the game and Casey put the equipment away. I went back to the cabin where Chris was on his laptop. I got ready for bed and he turned out the light.

Cheese day

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day. I posted for Math Morning. I heated goat milk to 100F, then put it in the dehydrator with probiotics. I heated another half gallon to 180, then stirred in vinegar. I left it to form curds.

I hurried to Bible Study. When I got back, I made fiber gel. I laid out for 20 minutes or so. I put on The Highwire, then made breakfast mix. I made and ate breakfast while watching. I scooped curds from the vinegar cheese.

Michelle called. Then I returned Mary's key to Housing. I checked garden and picked veggies. I dropped egg boxes at the library which appeared to be unmanned. I was going to go to the gym, but there were too many people.

I went home, I refilled two small coconut oil tubs. I finished the probiotic cheese and stored the curds in the fridge. I read e-mail and Telegram messages. I watered the plants. I took down a gopher mound. I checked on a dead gopher but it was gone.

I listened to the tapping presentations for Day 4. I made supplements for next 3 days. I snacked through supper while considering packing. I worked on my blog. I looked at my packing list for last year's trip. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. We stayed up to read on our laptops.

The new stove

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30, ready to start coffee morning. I turned on the music, made coffee, did my special exercises. Then I started meditation and tapping. I was nearly done when a man knocked on my door to tell me they were flushing the hydrants and that the new stove came in.

I finished last round, then the water got turned off. I e-mailed Chris and it came back on. I cleaned the temp stove. Michelle stopped by with sea moss. I forget what she said it was good for. And goat milk. We talked and then she left for work.

I finished cleaning the kitchen and washing dishes. I fiddled with the Kirby in prep for vacuuming. The guy knocked again, saying they were going to turn the water off to drain and flush the water heater. So I drew a bucket of water for mopping, then finished vacuuming.

He brought the new stove. He had to make adjustments since it came with propane and natural gas options. I didn't care for it as it was totally different from the original one, but still better than the temp one. Both had the broiler underneath the oven. Nothing convenient about that. I cleaned out my vacuum cleaners. Another guy joined him. They bled all the hydrants in the neighborhoods.

He moved the old stove out, then moved the new stove in. He hooked it up, tried all the functions, and checked for leaks. I read e-mail and Telegram messages and pieced puzzles while he replaced all the aerators and shower heads. I had to order more shower filters.

I continued to read. When the water heater was full again, he said it would take an hour to get hot water, and he left. I continued to read, then listened to a tapping presentation. I paused to make egg salad. I took out the compost but couldn't get close to the compost pile in my bare feet, so I pulled out all the goat heads between the lawn and the compost. then I finished tapping presentation.

When Chris came back from Mass, we talked a bit, then I left for the gym. I met Michelle and Ria there. We warmed up in the gymnasium, then worked out on the weight machines. Finally we went for a long walk around the base. We ended up standing in the parking lot and continued to talk.

It was almost 9 when I went home. I made tea, then Michelle showed up with a quart of goat milk and asking for some milk thistle. So I gave her some milk thistle and some digestive enzymes. We talked for a bit, then I indicated that I wanted to spend time with Chris. She left and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then Chris went to bed while I finished a second tapping presentation. Finally I worked on my blog.

The best night yet

Tuesday

I got up at 8, having slept remarkably well. I got ready for the day and checked e-mail. I went over early to check the house before inspection. The window sills needed cleaning again and so did the mirrors and the floors. Jamie came over to help, but she needed to leave when the inspection started. The inspectors didn't seem all that concerned with the cleanliness. I think they were more focused on what they had to do to get the smoke smell out.

After signing the papers, I went home. I ate fiber gel, then laid out in the sun for an extra long time, trying to make up for the days when I didn't have the option. Then I made and ate breakfast.

At 2, I went to Saronna's house to practice music. We finished early because she had other things to do. I went home. I searched for videos on how to sew a mask with eyes. Really, there were only two made with fabric. The rest were felt, or didn't cover the eyes.

I watered the plants, then listened to part of a tapping video. I went out to the empty lot to find an ant mound to process the dead gopher. I ate fiber gel, then put supper in the toaster oven. I listened to more of the tapping video, and then ate supper outside.

I read some more e-mail, then went out to mow and rake gopher mounds. It got dark so I came inside. I finished the tapping presentation. I worked on my blog. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Later, Chris went to bed. I stayed up to order supplements. I listened to a tapping meditation, took some potassium and went to bed.

The worst night yet

Monday

I got up at 7:30, having had the worst night of RLS that I can remember. It started before I went to bed, and lasted the whole night, even when I got up for good in the morning. Neither my mind nor my body got any rest. I wondered if it had anything to do with the red kale from Jenni's garden.

I washed up and got dressed. I checked e-mail. I went out to water the plants. Chris came home with the mail, then went back to work. I read articles and Telegram messages. Jamie called and we talked about what needed to be done at Mary's house. Then I called Housing to schedule an inspection for 5380. I laid out for 20 minutes. I went to the library to exchange books. I also got 2 dozen eggs from them.

When I got home, it was noon. So I made tea and breakfast. I ate while listening to some short videos. I hardboiled 14 eggs and gave them an ice bath.

I tried to open the bottom of the Shark vacuum to see what the problem was. I had to look it up online when I couldn't budge it. Wow! A lot of screws, plus ones hidden under the wheels. I fiddled until I got them all out. There was a circuit board and it looked fine. Next to the rubber gasket, there was a small wheel that had hair wrapped around it. So I pulled at it over and over again with tweezers till it was all gone. Then I put everything back together and only had two screws left over. I turned it on and the beater bar spun, but the handle still didn't have much suction.

I worked on Christmas music for band. I taped pages together and got the list organized. Then I went to Mary's house to gather my supplies. I also cleaned the fans, and put some of my stuff in my car.

I went home. I heated supper in the toaster oven while reading e-mail. Then I just had time to eat supper before running off to band practice.

First they played two hymns that Keli chose. I didn't play because I won't be there this Sunday. Then we played the Christmas. We didn't get through all of the pieces before my lip gave out. I asked who was interested in playing handbells. About 5.

When I got home, I talked to Jamie about 5380. I ate the remaining cob of corn. I mowed in the side yard. I listened to a tapping presentation. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. He went to bed and I stayed up to listen to part of a dialogue about installing a distribution of Linux called Zorin. Then I took some potassium and got ready for bed.

Investigating handbells

Sunday

We got up before 8. RLS had dogged me again, but not quite as badly as the previous night. I got ready for the day. I read e-mail and listened to a podcast on internet privacy. I went out to water the plants. They seemed no worse for not having been watered yesterday. Maybe because it rained.

Then I remembered my blog. So I posted for Friday and made notes for Saturday and Sunday. I consumed some fiber gel, and laid out in the sun. It wasn't very hot and kept going behind clouds. Then I changed back into shorts and t-shirt and went back to reading.

I made and at breakfast, then got dressed for church. I took cheese squares to the Chapel. I brought the chaplain a squash. Keli brought him pears and corn. I talked to Keli about my not being here next week. The chaplain was teaching Bryce how to light the candles with a lighter. I pointed out the gold acolyte thingy in the closet, and that worked better.

We sang three praise songs, two of which I didn't know. Then the chaplain talked about giving and Caleb said a prayer. The chaplain gave his sermon. Then the band played two hymns and the service was over. Chaplain helped young Bryce snuff out the candles. We pulled out the dove pulpit cloth and hung it. I gave the chaplain some cheese squares.

We all went home. I ate fruit. Michele came over to see my dress for the ball. I tried it on and she said it was ok and didn't need tweaking. Afterward, I changed back to shorts and t-shirt. Michele went home and I looked at handbell videos and music. Then I did some mowing.

At 5 I signed into the game. Chris brought me a bowl of supper, which was ground beef with chopped red kale in it. The kale was tough. We played the game and I pieced puzzles online when it wasn't my turn.

Afterward, I worked on my blog. I read old e-mails. I made tea, and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I went back to reading and deleting old e-mails. I watched part of a meditation, then went to bed.

Power outage takes 15 lives

Saturday

I got up at 8, not having slept well at all. RLS dogged me all night. Adding magnesium didn't help, for some reason. The homeopathic remedy did help a little, but I had to take it twice.

I got ready for the day. It was cool, so I left the watering for later. I read e-mail for a bit, then asked Chris for a massage. We went to the back for that. Then I took a shower and he took his.

I ate fiber gel, then wanted to lay out. But the sky was overcast. I sat outside and read. Then I made and ate breakfast.

I checked Facebook for responses to Sewing Class. Then I went to the chapel to set up. I had two machines set up when the Clarks arrived. Sophia wasn't there so two machines were enough. I helped Wilhelm with his shower mat binding, then discovered the bobbin was a little too tall. But Moira was the first to finish. It was a tough project for them and he had trouble concentrating on the work.

Sewing class ended late. I brought home the rhythm worksheet. I used it to make copies, and they printed perfectly. Sigh. I made supper and ate it. It meant to water but forgot.

At 7 I went to the chapel for Project Night. Casey and Cedric were waiting. He mentioned the overgrown rosebush that obstructs the sidewalk. I set up for sewing. He set up the game. Cedric said he had a bag of projects to work on.

I was waiting for the Rhythm class people to arrive when I remembered the shears in my trunk. I clipped the rosebush. Janet arrived and helped. Then she and I practiced rhythms together. Sophia joined in when she arrived. Then we all went to the fellowship hall for Project Night. While ladies were machine-sewing, I picked up a needle to make some corrections on my bath mat.

Michelle was playing Mario 2 and had 15 extra lives when suddenly the power went out and the emergency lights came on. I tried to call Chris, but the cell tower was down. I wondered if this was how the end of the world starts. But in a few minutes, the cell tower came up. I called Chris. He said he was on his way to work to find out the problem. We sat around and chatted, thinking the power would be on soon. But finally we all packed up to go home.

It was raining. That might have had something to do with the power outage. When I got home, Chris was there. I lit a candle. I called Michele to see if they needed a candle. We dressed the bed in clean sheets. Chris elected to lay on the couch to be near his phones when they beeped with messages. I got ready for bed. I pulled out my solar cube and set it where I could reach it in the middle of the night. Then I blew out the candle and went to bed. I considered buying another round of solar lamps to hand out. I also wondered if we should check on people. But then, they were probably in bed since there was nothing else to do.

I heard a beep and then the street lights came on. A little while later, Chris came to bed. He said we were on base-wide generator power. Then RLS kicked in and it was another rough night.

Struggling with the printer

Friday

I got up at 7:30. I prepared for the day. I ate two boiled eggs and checked e-mail.

Then I went to the chapel for Math Morning. I helped Moira and Casey worked with Wilhelm. Saronna helped Jedidiah counnt the chairs in the chapel. Afterwards, they packed up and went home. I stopped at the swap shop to open it at someone's request.

I went home to read e-mail and other messages. I made up supplements. I ate fiber gel, then went out to water the plants and rake gopher mounds. A gopher popped up, not realizing it would be the last thing he ever did. I Went inside to make breakfast and ate while reading and deleting e-mail.

After lunch, we went to the commissary, stopping to lock the swap shop. Then we unloaded groceries at home. I got a bottle of tea, and we went to Tooele. I fell asleep listening to the story on CD, so I was groggy when we arrived. We shopped at Luckey's and I shopped at Melanies. Then we went to Macey's for aged cheese. Finally we went home. I don't think I fell asleep, but I laid down when we got home.

When I got up, I drank fiber gel. I heated ground beef in the oven. I added leaves from greens I am growing at home. I also finished a carton of yogurt that has been hanging around for awhile. I posted for Project Night and Rhythm Class. I listened to more of an interview, then exited out of it because there was no indicator of how long it would go on.

I worked on my blog. Chris came back early from his game because one of the guys couldn't make it. I scanned and printed the hymn Chaplain asked for. Took longer than it should have. Then I needed copies of a sheet for Rhythm class. It took too long to find the pdf and then when I finally got it to print, it left off the stems of the notes. Why?

By then I was out of time. I poured two bottles of tea. I took pics of the notes for the game. I picked some greens for Michelle. I went to Michelle's house for Game Night. She wasn't there, but Casey had the game up on the TV.

I loaded my game and started to follow my plan to find the things I had missed before. But then I got eaten by a biot. So I had to start over. This time I save my game more often. That biot must be hungry because it got me more than once. And each time, I got lectured by Arthur C. Clark on the dangers of the game. I tried everything to interrupt that video clip. When I hit something in the F# row, the whole game disappeared. I had to get Casey to reload it.

Anyway, I was able to find the lenses and get the cannon to fire. But then I could not find the cube that it supposedly fired at. That's when I got eaten by biots. Finally at 11, I shut the game down. Michelle had returned and I had given her the greens. I thanked her and Casey, then went home. Chris was still up. I should have gone to bed, but I stayed up to watch the walkthrough to find out where the cube was. THEN, I went to bed.

Autumnfest

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day and prepared fiber gel. At 8, the doorbell rang. It was a very tall gentleman wanting a sample of my tap water. He filled a container and we talked about arsenic in the water. I offered to send him a copy of the tap water report that I had done a month ago, and he wrote down his e-mail so I could send it.

After he left, I read some e-mail. Then I took my Bible to the chapel. 4 ladies were already there for Bible study. We read the 4th chapter of John. Then Janet gave each of us a topic from the chapter and 10 minutes to write down a few sentences about what we thought or could find out. We were allowed to use our phones, but since I don't allow my phone on the internet, I relied on my Bible, which thanks to Ginger had very good notes at the bottom of each page.

After the study, I stopped at the post office for mail, then went home to hydrate. I went to Mary's house to clean floors for an hour. Then I went home for breakfast and to watch The Highwire. I took time out to lay out in the sun.

I paused The Highwire and went back to cleaning. I used the floor polisher and it really did a good job. I also mopped the walls and scrubbed the outside of the front door.

Chris texted me just before 5, so I went home and put on my bathing suit. I put bags of bags in my car and went to the chapel to park. I picked up the bags and walked to the gym where they were having Autumnfest. I gave the bags to Steve who is collecting them for a charity downtown. I talked to people here and there. The chaplain wants us to play Trust and Obey on Sunday so I found Saronna and Keli and asked if they could do it. They said yes. I ordered a burger. I ate the meat without the top bun. Then I checked out the chili contest. I sat down with 5 tiny sample entries to try and compare them. I gave Michelle the money for the dress etc from yesterday. I talked to more people, and listened to the band. I watched the pie-eating contest and the stein-holding contest. I requested the band to play Sir Duke, but they weren't prepared.

It was after 8 when I walked back to my car and drove home. Two ladies had asked for the water report, so I sent them. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to read e-mail. Then I went to bed.

Temporary replacement stove

Wednesday

I got up at 8, wondering how I missed the 7:30 alarm. I prepare for Coffee morning and turned on the music. I exercised, read, tapped and meditated. Afterwards, I cleaned the bathroom and washed dishes. I scrubbed the oven. At 1 the man came with the stove from Mary's house. It took awhile to install because it used a different size of gas hose. I was sad to see the old stove leave because we made such beautiful cheese squares together.

After he left, I watered the plants. I vacuumed the den, hallway and bedroom. I took a shower. I went to the library to return an item and have a short chat. I stopped at the post office for mail and a package. I chatted with the clerk.

When I got home, I waited for Jenni, then got out the mower and did the other side of the yard. Then I went in to find out why she wasn't here. That's when she showed up with eggs and small bills that she wanted to trade for 20's. She said that when she got home from work, she was too tired to move so she just rested. (She could have called and said something).

After we traded, I got ready and met her at the garden. I picked a small cantaloupe that the ants were making inroads on. Then she showed up and we pulled weeds in her garden. She dug up some small carrots and cut a small head of cabbage. She didn't want the huge leaves that were around it, so I picked them up.

As we were heading out, Trevor arrived on his bike. We talked to Trevor who had an amazing garden. Then I went home. I ate the small cantaloupe and read e-mail. Michelle invited me over, so I went to her house with half of the large cabbage leaves. She and Casey were preparing to mount sconces on the wall by the bed. I visited with Michelle. I tried on the dress that she had ordered for me for the ball. After we talked, I picked up the resin and Chris' knife.

I went home and gave the knife to Chris. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. LAter Chris went to bed and I went to bed later than that, although before 11.

No lovin from the oven

Tuesday

I got up after 8, having slept ok. I got dressed and went outside, but it was cold, so I came in. I drank hydrogen water, etc. I made fiber gel. I made more breakfast mix. I went to Mary's house to clean and deodorize. I added more citrus rinds to the mix and some cotton balls with vanilla on them. I got the mixture to boil, then turned it down to simmer. I mopped floors, and walls. Dramatic difference in color. I also vacuumed the ottoman outside.

I went home to eat fiber gel, lay out in the sun, and then make breakfast. I didn't have long to eat it because I had to be at Saronna's house at 1. And I was. We played through some Christmas music and she made some copies.

I left her house and went home to offload the trombone and music. I laid out again. I also checked e-mail and Facebook to see if anyone wanted the washer and dryer. Then I went back to Mary's house to mop the ceilings. I put the citrus rind mixture in front of the air intake. It was in a steamer, but the steamer would not stay on 'hot'. I put the big ornaments out in the driveway for pickup.

Half an hour later, Maintenance rang the door. He was looking for me so he could check my stove. So we both went back to my house. He checked out the oven and agreed that it was the igniter. But it would be easier to replace the stove than to get the igniter out and replace it. , He called someone, but they said there were no gas stoves in the warehouse so they would have to order one. I asked for a temp replacement. They said they would take the one from Mary's house. Michelle called during all this, but I didn't have time to talk to her. The man told me I had to clean my stove so he could turn it in. Since he pulled it forward, I cleaned behind the stove. I also scrubbed the oven racks and the oven. I tried turning on the self-clean cycle. But of course it didn't heat up.

I went back to Mary's house to get my stuff out of the way. I mopped more ceiling. I went home to log into RCMQG's Zoom call. Chris came home. He made ground beef with tomatoes. I ate while reading e-mail and messages. I jotted notes for my blog.

There was some daylight left, so I finished mowing the backyard and did more of the front. I had to put on a coat because it was so cool. Then I put ammonia in the dish in the oven and turned on the broiler. I wrote my blog post for yesterday. I turned off the broiler because the whole room smelled like ammonia.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed while I watched an informative video. Then I went to bed.

Always check the freezer

Monday

Chris was sleeping on the couch when I got up. I walked over and he opened his eyes. He was still tired, so we cuddled in bed. Then I got ready for the day. I posted for band, and submitted an ArMA request to fix the oven.

When I got to Mary's house, I could still smelled cigarette smoke. I heated citrus rind on the stove, and put it in front of the air intake. I spent 90m vacuuming up baking soda and mopping.

I went home to eat half of the fiber gel. Chris had started a load of laundry. I put it in the dryer and added another load. I laid out in the sun. I made and ate breakfast and read e-mail, messages, and articles.

After breakfast, I went back to clean. I put some vinegar in front of the air intake. I simmered citrus on the stove again. Then I went home to eat the rest of the fiber gel. I put supper in the toaster oven.

I chose two hymns focused on prayer. Since neither one was in the folder, I tried to scan and print them out larger. But at first the computer wouldn't cooperate. Then I did one hymn, but ran out of time.

I ate the bowl of supper while watching an interview. Then I took the hymn to the chapel. We played the hymns (the second one directly from the hymn book). And we worked on Christmas music, finding several songs that need more copies.

Afterward, I asked the doctor if he wanted a copy of the tap water report and he said yes. So when I got home, I tried to send it by text. Then I had to ask him for an e-mail address to send it to.

Chris pulled some ground beef from the deep freezer and noted it wasn't totally frozen. It seemed the circuit breaker tripped during one of the power outages. He flipped it back on. I went out to mow in the front yard. When I couldn't see anymore, I went to the backyard. Probably didn't do a good job there either.

I worked on my blog and made tea. Then we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. It seemed a little contrived. Then Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to read.

A very busy Sunday

Sunday

I got up before 8, having slept pretty well. I opened some windows to let cool air in. I washed up and got dressed. I made hydrogen water and electrolyte water. I pinched off tomato branches from a cutting so it would have a better chance of survival.

We had too many eggs, so I beat up 15 of them and poured them into a silicone muffin tray to freeze. Then I whipped up a batch of cheese squares. However, the oven wouldn't heat. So I carried the cookie sheet to Mary's house and baked them there. I cleaned while I waited. I cleaned after they were done to let them cool a little since I didn't bring potholders.

When I got back with the squares, I ate half of the fiber gel. I laid outside in the sun for 15 minutes, then made and ate breakfast. I got dressed and put the cheese squares in a container and took them to church. I stopped by Casey's house to hang a bag with a squash.

Then I went to the Chapel. I told Janet how the fire department would not come and turn off the alarm in the back. I assembled my trombone and chatted. Then the service started with praise songs. Popken talked about giving and finally the chaplain gave his sermon on evil and free will. Then he invited the musicians up to play the hymns. After the service, he told me that he was going to make flyers to advertise an hour of prayer every Wednesday from noon til 1. I suggested he post on the community Facebook pages and he asked me to that. Then I was talking to John and he found the key on top of fire box. Sheesh!

I walked out with the cheese squares and was talking to Janet and Summer. The chaplain came back three times for more squares so I gave him the container. I dropped the ash tray at the Clark's house, and went home. I read e-mail and messages. Then Jenni stopped by with a bag of salad.

I put on my suit and mt Jenni at the pool. It was just us for some time. Michelle came later. We talked and swam around. Then she left with her family. So Jenni and I left soon after.

When I got home, I took a long hot shower. I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I went to the house to prepare the fog machine. I waited for Davis and Steve to pick up the items they had set aside last week. Then I left the door open and walked home and got lawn mower. I tried to use the weedeater attachment to cut down weeds growing in the sidewalk, but the weeds were too thick and the attachment wouldn't stay on the mower. When I saw them drive by, I walked back to the house to meet them. I watched/helped them load stuff. His girlfriend took some of the other leftover items. After they left, I vacuumed the livingroom, then set up the fog machine. I put the hypochlorous acid in and turned it on to heat. When the light came on, I went outside and used the remote to activate it. Then the sprinklers came on. When I got to my car, I realized my keys were still in the kitchen. So I walked home.

I put supper in the oven. I read e-mail till it was done, then ate supper. I went back to the house and used the remote to turn off the machine. It was probably out of fluid anyway. I went in the back door to get my keys. Then I took my car home.

I texted Michelle what the chaplain wanted to post. She made it into a very nice jpg. I texted it to him, then posted it on the Facebook pages. I friended him on Facebook so I could send him invites from the three community pages. In between texting and messaging, I watched The Gospel of John on Youtube. When my sprinklers came on, I went around and closed all the windows.

Then I worked on my blog. It got late. I cleaned up kitchen and got ready for bed.

'Alarming' Project Night

Saturday

I woke up hearing the 8am alarm. I got up later, washed up and got dressed. I made hydrogen water, etc. I walked over to Mary's house to close the windows but noticed her HVAC system wasn't on. I picked up the modem and brought it home, as Lyn requested. I watered my plants and dealt with several gopher mounds. I put crayons on a black canvas on the front porch to see if they would melt in the sun.

I read some e-mail. I went to Mary's house for an hour, sprinkled baking soda and wiped surfaces. I came home for breakfast. Later I laid in the sun, then took a shower. I ran back to the house to get some cleaning supplies.

I drove to Tina's house and cleaned her kitchen. She paid me. I let her know I won't be able to come in two weeks because of a camping trip. When I got home, I ate fiber gel. I put supper in the oven. I made HOCL and read up on using the fog machine. Then I ate supper.

When I got to the chapel, the alarm was ringing again. I had forgotten my phone. I set up a sewing machine and put all-cotton thread in it. Michele showed up wearing her voluminous purple gown. Then Casey came with Cedric, and MeryAnn came with her husband. She showed me pics of her event, teaching women to shoot. Casey tried to plug the HDMI cord back into the TV. It was hard because the TV was bolted to the wall. I think almost everyone tried at some point. But finally, by the end of the night, he got it plugged in.

MeryAnn called Dispatch to call the fire department to come turn off the alarm. But they refused. If I had my phone, I would have called Chris and maybe they would have come.

Michelle brought two formal dresses, one for her and one for me. So we went into the bathroom to try them on. Hers fit perfectly, but mine was too big. She had borrowed it from a friend to test the size. She found a dress she thought would look good on me and I let her order it.

Michele worked on adding white lace to a white pattern piece for a new top. I sewed a stabilizing stitch around my facings, then started hand-sewing the edges of the shoulder seams on my nightgown.

When Casey got the HDMI plugged back in, he brought up Mario 2 and Michelle played it. When I finished my second shoulder seam, we packed up and went home, happy to get away from the constant alarm. It was after 9 when I got home. I read messages and worked on my blog, VMIS, and work hours. Then it was time for bed.

Running the swap shop

Friday

I got up at 8. I did the usual morning stuff, including plants and gophers. I checked e-mail and messages.

At 9 I went to the chapel for Math Morning. Because the alarm was going off again, I texted Janet. When I didn't hear back, I texted Chris. Saronna and the kids came and we decided to have Math Morning in the sanctuary to get away from the alarm. Eventually the fire department showed up to turn it off. They said the battery was low, and they had put in a work order to fix it.

Casey and Cedric came late. I helped Jedediah count chairs in the sanctuary. The other kids had worksheets to do. At 10, they packed up. Saronna said she had stuff to take to the swap shop. Since they were on foot, I had time to go home and get water and go to the bathroom.

Then I went to open the Swap Shop. Saronna, her kids, and Isadora came to help process donations. Tara was already there, working on kid stuff. We got through a lot, but not all. Bryce came to pick up a bike.

After everyone left, I got my mail. Saronna texted asking for a pic of the fancy ash tray. So I went back in to take a pic. Then I went home for breakfast. I ate fiber gel and laid out for 20 minutes. Then I came in to make breakfast.

While eating, I looked at supplements online. I read articles. I looked at walkthroughs of Police Quest and decided it wasn't for me. I looked at one of Rama and saw a few key things that I needed to do next time I played. I went to the commissary for a few groceries. Then I went home to drop them off.

I went to Mary's house to clean. I talked to Jamie who was there mowing. I cleaned inside for 90 minutes, then walked home. I ate fiber gel and put supper in the toaster oven. I read outside barefoot. I ate supper and worked on my blog. I caught up on VMIS hours by reading previous blog posts.

I got ready for Game Night and headed to Michelle's house. I had a jar of goat cheese for her. Casey put up Rama. I loaded my saved game, and hunted around for the things I needed to do. I had trouble finding the ladder, but when I did, I got the key and opened the locker that had so many useful items in it. I took the conveyance down to the base camp. I found a few things there. Then I went out the door into the 'world'. There was some map that was used to travel directly to various artifact sites. I was able to pick up more artifacts and items. But I didn't know what to do with them.

I got stuck, so after that I just chatted with Michelle. She thinks I need a new dress for the Air Force ball. It was after 11 when I finally thanked them and went home. I was tired and just took supplements and went to bed.

The giving-away continues

Thursday

I got up at 7:40. I washed up and got dressed. I drank water and electrolytes. I watered the plants as usual, and took out the gopher mounds.

I read some e-mail. I saw that Bible study was being moved back half an hour. I did some chores, then went to the chapel with my Bible. Janet and Summer were there. We read through John chapter 3. Then she had us answer some questions and draw pictures of the Kingdom of God. I stayed talking to Janet as she cleaned up the tea set.

I went to Mary's house to clean for 45 minutes. Steve and Davis came over to look at the stuff left behind and pick out what they wanted. They left it in a corner of the livingroom.

I went home for breakfast and to watch The Highwire. I ate two hard-boiled eggs. I listened to The Highwire while I made up supplements and then ate. I paused it when Michele called with news. I asked if she wanted the three oversized Christmas balls. She did.

I hung up and went back to Mary's house. Anca came with her husband and picked out what they wanted and took it away. I cleaned a little longer, maybe half an hour. I went home to lay in the sun, then I finished The Highwire.

I went back to clean. Jamie came over to do the yard. We talked, then I cleaned. MeryAnn came with her husband. They looked around, didn't take much, but talked for awhile.

Finally they left, It was after 6, so I left. I took some dog bowls and carrier to Keli. Then I dropped by the library to return the book and check out another one. I went home to greet Chris and to make supper. After eating, I looked for replacements for supplements that were running out.

At 8, he hugged me and left for the airport. I read Telegram messages. I posted for Math Morning and for Swap Shop. I watched part of a movie called The Gospel of John. I got ready for bed, then realized I hadn't posted to my blog.

The giving away begins

Wednesday

I got up after 7:30. I drank hydrogen water etc, then got dressed and went out to water the plants and flush the dirt back down the gopher holes. Then I started coffee morning. I did the exercises and drybrushing. Then I realized I had forgotten to make coffee. So the process was prolonged. Actually I did some cleaning while I waited for the coffee to heat up. Then I did my meditation and tapping. Afterward, I cleaned the bathrooms and worked on the kitchen. I emptied the dishwasher and put more stuff in. I handwashed most of it and put it on the stove to dry.

I laid out in the sun, having finished my book earlier in the day. It had a sad ending. Then I took a shower and got dressed. I took my trombone to Saronna's house and we practiced for an hour.

I went home to meet Jenni who wanted to give me change for 20's. I took her to Mary's house to see what she wanted. She got some glasses and a lounge chair. We talked for a while, then she left. I cleaned for 90 minutes, then went home. I ate two hardboiled eggs and read e-mail.

Chris came home from Mass. I started working on my blog. We went to fill two water jugs at the Primo machine at the post office. When we got home, I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. While watching, I overcast other side seam.

Chris went to bed. I read messages and memes about Charlie Kirk. I went to bed, but then remembered my blog so I got up to finish it.

The mouse

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30, having slept ok until I heard Chris get up. I washed up and got dressed. My shorts were not snug so I went into the sewing room to shorten the elastic. But after some struggle, I realized that I had zigzagged the elastic all the way around and I didn't feel like taking it all out. So I safetypinned it and went on to make electrolyte water and hydrogen water, etc. I watered the plants. It was windy out so I left the gophers alone and went back inside. I read some e-mail.

I went cleaning at 9. I worked in the kitchen for 2.5 hours. I went home and ate fiber gel. When I got back, I made and ate breakfast while reading e-mail and Telegram messages. I put on my suit and laid out in the sun, reading. I got dressed again. I stopped at the post office for mail. I snuck into 204 to get my stepladder and ammonia spray. There were signs everywhere saying only contractors were allowed in.

I went to Mary's house to clean again. After an hour and a half, I stopped counting hours. I texted John to come over and pluck a mouse out of the outlet behind the stove. I could not pull the stove out far enough to get behind it. I also asked him to clean some high shelves and the top of the fridge.

After he left, I vacuumed the pet hair from the recliner-couch and the ottoman. Then I went home to heat up supper. I ate in front of the laptop. I watched a walkthrough of Rama.

Then at 7 I went to the post office to meet the chaplain. I let him into the swap shop and the furniture room. Cpl Popken came with a truck. They carried out a couch, kitchenware, wastebaskets, microwave, etc. Then he followed me to Mary's house where he got more kitchenware and a mechanical push mower.

When I got home, I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. As we sat there, I overcast the seams of my dress by hand. I only finished one side by the time the episode was over.

Chris stayed up for some reason. At 11, I signed out and prepared for bed. He came to bed at the same time. Very unusual.

Spin class

Monday

I got up before 7:30, having had a rough night. I got up often to drink and rub magnesium on my calves. So much magnesium gave me gas.

I took supplements and drank water with hydrogen and electrolytes. I suddenly noticed that the sprinklers were going. So I walked out to check. A man came to the house to say he was checking the sprinklers and that whenever the power blips, the sprinklers go into rain delay mode.

I finished my morning routine and watered the plants. Then I turned my attention to the gopher mounds. As I was washing dirt down the tunnel, Jamie waved at me from Mary's house. It was 9 and she wanted me to come over. So I did. Mary was trying to pack her vehicle with last minute things. Jamie was helping her. I helped clean out the fridge. There was all kinds of stuff she had to leave behind.

We were still there when the inspectors arrived for the sign-over. I ran home for a contract and hex wrenches. They looked around. Jack took me aside and said we had to park the trash can in the garage to keep the crows out. He also said he would call ground crew to take out the saplings that were growing in the yard.

After the inspectors left, Jamie and I kept loading her vehicle. Then Jamie left to take one last look at 48 which was to be inspected soon. So Mary and I took down her Star Link with a hex wrench and packed it. She also got her ladder inside the Jeep-like vehicle. Just as she was pulling out, Jamie texted that 48 passed inspection. I rolled the trash cans into the garage and headed home.

I went inside to get water. Then I clipped old flowers from the petunias and tripped on the front step. I was going to go clean 204, but my back decided to be unhappy. So I stayed home, read e-mail and had breakfast early.

Later I went to Mary's house to put towels soaked in vinegar in the toilets. Then I went to 204 to clean in the kitchen. When I saw that the toilet was sitting on its side in the bathroom, I wondered if maybe they didn't want people using the water. (They are replacing a broken sewer line.) So I packed up and went home.

I drank water. I picked hymns for next Sunday and went through the Christmas music. Then I went back to Mary's house to clean in the kitchen. I worked on the fridge for most of an hour.

Then I remembered that I had band at 6. So I went home and put supper in the toaster oven. I made up 2 gallons of plant fertilizer and put that and the hymns in my car. I ate supper, then headed to the chapel for band.

When I got there, everyone was sitting in place, ready to play. That has never happened before. We went through the hymns and much of the Christmas music. It was familiar to most of us, but to the recent additions, it was totally new. Finally my lip went out. Caleb and Keli worked on Silver Bells, and then we played We Wish You a Merry Chrismas, and called it a night. They all left. I packed up, and turned off the lights.

I went to the garden to fertilize it. I also picked a zucchini and three squash. I left one at Michele's house. Then I went to the gym where Michelle was having a spin class. I hung out there, did some foam roller stuff. Then she adjusted a bike for me. But pedaling kept me awake. So I thanked her and went home. I ate the fiber gel, and the chia gel and worked on my blog.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then he went to bed and I stayed up to read e-mail and listen to BWE.

Monofins

Sunday

I got up before 8 when everything suddenly seemed quiet. But Chris was sitting at his laptop. I brushed my teeth, and drank amended water. I watered the potted plants. I took out several gopher mounds. I ran two sprinklers on hoses, moving them every 20 minutes.

I made vinegar goat cheese for Michelle and rennet cheese for me. I read e-mail, then ate breakfast. I got dressed, then I put the curds in a strainer. Chris and I went to the chapel.

We met the new chaplain and guests from LDS church. I warmed up. Keli and Bryce did three praise songs. Chaplain Fry gave a sermon – it was the testimony of his life. So we got to know his background and be inspired by his walk with the Lord. Then the band played two hymns and he gave a benediction. Afterward, we chatted here and there. People left. I took the cheese squares and we went home.

I put the strained curds in a jar. I drank some whey and read e-mail. I put on my suit, and went to the pool. I swam with Jenni till Jamie came. She had three monofins. So we all tried one. It did not work so well for me. I got out when it got close to 5 because of the game. I spoke to Jack, then to Ron, and then went home.

Supper was ready. I put mushrooms and beef tongue and quinoa in my bowl. I signed into the game. We chatted among ourselves. We played the game: someone engaged our services to fight an evil cleric. We went to a temple to confront him. He had lots of friends. We fought, but had to pause at 8pm. Everyone signed out of Discord.

I worked on my blog. We watched TV. I checked e-mail, used binaural beats. Finally I slathered magnesium cream on my calves and went to bed.

Sewing class with no power

Saturday

I got up at 8 and stayed in the bathroom till after 8:30 doing a Sudoku puzzle. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I made hydrogen water and electrolyte water. I went out to water the plants and put coffee grounds in a gopher hole. Chris gave me a massage and we both took showers. I read some e-mail, then went to 204 to start cleaning in the kitchen.

I went home for breakfast. Just after 1, the power went out. So I sat outside and ate and read a book. Saronna called about sewing class. I said we could still cut out stuff and sew it later.

I went to the chapel and unlocked it. I opened the blinds to let in as much light as possible. There was a box screaming an alarm near the fellowship hall. But it was locked so I couldn't shut it off. When Saronna and her kids arrived, I told them we should carry tables out to work outdoors, away from the screaming. So we did. While we were cutting our strips, Chris stopped by to say that the Keech Room at ACS was open and had backup power.

We finished cutting, put the tables away, then took three sewing machines over to ACS and set up there. I got the girls started on their strips, but Wilhelms' were not there. So I went back to look for them. I couldn't find them so I brought the blue fabric so we could cut some more. Then Melissa said she got a message that the power was back on.

We sewed till after 4, then decided to finish up next time. They helped me pack up and drop the machines back at the chapel. The alarm was still screaming. I stopped at the post office to get mail and shove donations into the swap shop.

When I got home, I ate some fruit. I read e-mail and listened to Ben's podcast on what the Bible says to eat. I ate fiber gel, then put supper in the toaster oven. After I ate supper, I went to the chapel for Project Night.

At first I was alone there. So I set up a sewing machine and got out an old spool of cotton thread to put on it. Then Saronna and Randy came with their kids. Apparently their kids did something wrong and when I got to the sanctuary, they were all doing planks. Saronna and I practiced complicated rhythms together. When Janet and Leilani showed up, we moved to something more simple. Because they had not come in a while, I kept going long after we would normally quit.

Then they had to go home, so I went to the fellowship hall. Casey and the kids were at one end of the room, and Michelle was playing Mario 2. I finished threading the machine with cotton thread, then started sewing the linen dress. I did the facing and hemmed the sleeves. I sewed the shoulder seams and the side seams.

It was well after 9, so we packed up. Michelle had brought me 4 quarts of goat milk, so I paid her and she carried it out to my car. They left and so did I. When I got home, Chris was on his computer. He said they didn't play tonight. I put the milk away, then sat and worked on my blog. I looked into bee bread, then helped Chris make the bed with clean sheets. We went to bed.

Indiana Jones finishes the Last Crusade

Friday

I got up after 8. I had awakened dehydrated but too tired to get up and drink. I heard Chris get ready and leave for town to get new tires. I got dressed and drank amended water. I checked e-mail and messages. I heard rain outside. Then I got some scratch paper and went to the chapel.

Saronna and her kids were waiting outside when I got there. I unlocked the doors and we all went in. We set up in the fellowship hall. She had math workbooks for the kids and a color by number for the youngest. Wilhelm asked me to time him. I started with the second hand, but it didn't matter. 20 minutes later he had done less than half. They packed up to leave because of an appointment in town. Moira found a dead bird on the way out and we kicked it out of the way.

I was going to go home for a bit, but then Janet arrived for Bible study. We talked for some time. No one else showed up. Finally we said a prayer and went home. I mashed up some hardboiled eggs and added guacamole and pumpkin seeds. I read e-mail and Telegram messages.

At noon, I watered the plants and dealt with some gopher mounds. Then I spent an hour working on the bathmat. I took a break for lunch, then spent 2 more hours on the bathmat. I couldn't get the corners right because there was too much fabric. Having cut according to directions, I can only assume that the pressure foot stretched out the fabric to cause this problem. As we all know, you can't hide extra fabric in a mitered corner.

I took a pic of the mat and posted to Facebook for the sewing class. I wasn't sure how the kids were gonna handle the corners, but they often don't really care about their results. Maybe they should join a WDNC club.

I put ground beef, quinoa and mushrooms in a bowl in the toaster oven. I went outside to read. It tried to rain on me, but I sat under the eves and the few droplets that fell did not reach me. Then I came in to eat and to listen to Mike Adams demonstrate his new AI called Enoch. I even sent it a query. I worked on my blog and got ready for Game Night at Michelle's.

When I arrived, I gave her some cheese squares and sweet potato leaves as a snack. Casey had Indiana Jones on the TV. I loaded my game and was surprised to find Indy was still at the airport. So I memorized the bi-plane instructions then got in the plane and took off. Indy got shot down, and borrowed a car which went directly to the first guard stop. The game would not let me save. The guard decided to fight and Indy lost. So I had to take off in the bi-plane again. This time I saved the game right after the crash. Then I had to go through 7 guard stops. But I had notes, so I made it.

Then I was supposed to save again at the cave. But I forgot. So I went in, watched Dad get shot, then got caught in a loop trying to go through the cave and getting sliced. Michelle called up a walkthrough on her phone and I saw where to click. Then Indy had to walk across lettered tiles. That wasn't too bad. Finally he had to walk across a chasm. Without hesitation. So he died and went back to the shooting, dodged the spinning blades again, and walked across the alphabet, then quickly across the chasm. Finally it was time to choose a grail. I had him choose the wooden one, but apparently that wasn't the one the game picked. I choose wisely the second time. Indy brought it out to save his father, then Else took it and tried to leave. She fell in a chasm. Indy picked up the grail and gave it back to the knight. Then the game was over.

Casey had some other games. So I tried one called Rama. I didn't get very far, just introductory stuff. Casey sent me a walk-thru, but it was too close to 11. I texted John, but he didn't know the game. I shut it down. We talked a bit, and I went home. Chris was still up. I prepared for bed and laid down. Sometime later, he joined me.
