Picking God and Country hymns

Monday

Chris left at 6am. I got up around 7. I went through the morning list. No milk or eggs were delivered. I cut all the onion stalks, washed them and put them in the crock pot to render into soup stock.

I went to clean a house. I spent two hours, then went home to make and eat breakfast. I added water to the crock pot. I also read outside. Then I went to the post office for mail, and back to cleaning. Another 2 hours plus. On the way home, I stopped at Steve's apartment to scrub the ring out of his toilet. I checked 206 for a pumice stone and noticed that someone had taken all the furniture and left the door unlocked.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel and put supper in the toaster oven. I added water to the crock pot. I read outside again, then came in to turn off the oven. I fell asleep in the recliner and woke up at nearly 6. I had a few bites of supper (leftovers from the Indian restaurant), then went to the chapel for band. I REALLY wanted to stay home and sleep some more.

We had 5 people for band. We played through the hymns and some God and Country songs. I texted the chaplain and he said he'd be right over. So we waited a few minutes. Then we discussed possible choices and came up with three. The others went home. He and I walked out together.

I went home and finished supper. I added water to the crock pot. I checked e-mail. Chris called and we chatted for a bit. I mowed the lawn for 30 or 40 minutes. I worked on my blog. I spent an hour entering data into VMIS. John came over for an extension cord for a weed whacker. I watched an episode of Call the Midwife, then got ready for bed.

Planning for a day of VBS

Sunday

I got up at 8:30 having slept hard. Remembering I had left seeds in a small container at the garden got me out of bed. I did some of the morning list, then got dressed and went to the garden. I changed out the sprinkler head and brought the seeds home.

I watered the plants at home. Chris gave me a massage and took a shower. I made cheese squares then took my shower. I ate yogurt and listened to praise songs. I made breakfast and ate it. I got dressed for church. I cut up cheese squares and headed to the chapel.

After the service, I paid Jenni for the plants. We stated for lunch and planning for VBS, which will be one day next week. Very unusual. Afterward, I went home to check e-mail. I got ready for the sauna and met Jenni at the gym. We sweated and talked.

I went home and changed out of my wet suit. I joined the game at 5. Chris heated up leftovers for supper. I ate while playing the game. I also jotted notes for my blog.

The game ended early. We joined Michele and John for a walk around the school block. I also checked the garden to see if the sprinkler had run.

When we got back to the house, I mowed in the side yard for awhile. Then I made tea and we watched TV. We also dressed the bed in clean sheets. Then I retired to my laptop to read messages and look up how to trim a sidewalk with a weed eater. Chris packed for his trip and went to bed. Later, I headed to bed as well.

For her birthday

Saturday

I got up at 8am. I went through the morning list. Chris went to Mass. When he got back, he wasn't up to the massage so I spent that time watering and stomping gopher mounds. I showered and dressed. I ate yogurt and some cheese squares. I poured more milk into the yogurt jars and put them in the dehydrator to cure.

We picked up Michele and John. We all drove to a town called Holladay to a business called Auntie Rae's. Michele had reservations for high tea for her birthday. We got there early so sat outside for half an hour. Then we came in and were seated in the next room. We ordered tea from a long list of teas. We talked for half an hour. Then we were served tea and little sandwiches, etc. Michele had ordered me the gluten-free plate. After eating that, the lady brought desserts.

We talked to the owner about the old house while Chris paid. Then we drove to Hmart. We bought kimbap and sugarcane. We headed home through Tooele and stopped at Mumbai for Indian food.

Back at the base, Chris stopped to help some people knocking on the fire station door. Then we dropped off Michele and John. They gave me a bag of very sprouted potatoes. We went home. I checked e-mail, then took supplements. I stopped at the post office, then went to the garden to plant petunias, potatoes, soaked seeds and vegetables that Jenni bought me. I owe her money. I planted the potatoes, onions, squash and petunias. Casey texted a pic of a gopher so I went by his house to pick it up. We talked for sometime and I went home. We watched TV. I looked up the Indiana Jones walkthru and made notes. I read e-mail and other messages, then worked on my blog and went to bed.

All in all, not a bad Game Night

Friday

I laid awake for hours before falling asleep so I slept late and got up at 8. I did little jobs around the house, then completed the morning list. I watered and annoyed gophers. I went up to the house to clean for 2 hours.

Back home, I ate fiber gel, read with the red light, then made and ate breakfast. I made a grocery list and went to the commissary. After putting the food away, I stopped at the post office: no mail. I went cleaning for another 2 hours. I poured some homemade vinegar on the weeds. I cleaned all the windows and most of the master bath. I pulled the tarp in just before the rain started. No difference in plant life underneath.

I went home. I ate fiber gel and put supper in the toaster oven. I listened to a hangout on the issues of AI. They said internet searches are giving worse results than before. Eventually AI will be a subscription service. Chris came home from his Park City trip. He made himself supper. We read on our laptops. I worked on my blog.

I took a jar of yogurt and a bottle of tea and went to Casey's house for Game Night. He had the game up. I gave him the jar of yogurt. I reloaded my last game and went from there. I inadvertently skipped a part because I didn't know how to make Indiana swim. The story continued in Babylon. I got stuck near a tent and couldn't figure out what to do next. Casey looked up the Quicksave option and it was f5. That came in very handy. At 11, I exited the game. We talked awhile longer and I went home and got ready for bed.

Two hours to clean the outside of a stove?

Thursday

I woke up early and got up before the alarm at 7:30. I had slept well. I put out the recycling and went through my morning list. I watered all the plants, and let the sprinkler run for awhile.

At 9, I went to Steve's apartment and put vinegar-soaked paper towels on his toilet ring. Then I went up on the hill and cleaned house for 2 hours, mainly on the stove. Was this guy making beeswax candles? Only a metal scraper would get the little yellow bumps off.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel, then read a book in the sun. I made and ate breakfast while watching The Highwire. They were broadcasting from Italy and the quality of video was not so good. I steamed a batch of eggs.

Afterward, I stopped at the post office for mail and at Self-Help for a sprinkler head that works. Then I cleaned house for another 2 hours, finishing the fridge and some windows. I put a tarp over rocks in front to kill the weeds but the wind kept blowing under the tarp which kept it from building up heat.

I stopped by the garden to change out sprinkler heads. It didn't seem to be adjustable so I took care to position it for best coverage. I watered some spots by hand.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel and put supper in the toaster oven. I mowed the back yard. I ate supper and the dregs of some random ice cream I found in the deep freeze. Then I mowed in the front yard. Chaplain came over to get a hose. We talked. After he left, I mowed some more.

I went in to read e-mail. Chris called. Afterward, I read messages and watched a video on making laundry soap. When I heard the irrigation system come on, I went out to check and the in-ground sprinklers seemed to be working properly. Then I worked on my blog.

I heated tea and watched an episode of Call the Midwife. Later I got ready for bed.

Chris' birthday

Wednesday

I got up by 7:30. I did part of the morning list and prepared for coffee morning. After meditating and tapping, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. There were few dishes to wash.

Chris came home for lunch, then packed a bag and headed to Park City. I took niacin, then vacuumed and mopped. I ate yogurt, then read out in the sun. I took a steam bath and then a shower. I cleaned up and dressed, then went to clean.

It was a house on the hill. I got there by 3:10. I brought in my buckets of cleaners. I soaped up the shower stall. I soaked the burners. I started sweeping the baseboards with a broom and then vacuuming the floors to get rid of the hair balls. John came over to handle the high stuff. I texted Davis about the garage and bird droppings.

After John left, I cleaned in the kitchen. I put the burners in the dishwasher and learned that the dishwasher leaked. I found cookware in a cabinet. I took a pic of them and sent it to the former resident. He came over to get them. Chris called and we talked a bit as I cleaned. Then we hung up because it was time for me to go home. I turned off the dishwasher and left.

I went to the garden to tighten the connection between the timer and the faucet. When the connected no longer leaked, I fiddled with the timer. I also fiddled with the sprinkler head. I held it over several important spots in my garden to make sure they got watered. Then I left it and went home.

I fixed some hardboiled eggs for supper. I read e-mail and messages. I watched several episodes of Call the Midwife. Then I worked on my blog and went to bed.

Trying to finish 206

Tuesday

I got up before 8. I brought in the milk and eggs. I started heating the milk, and went through the morning list. I used some of the yogurt starter from the fridge in 206 that I was cleaning. I set up the sprinkler in the side yard. The birds came and played in it until I shut it off. I made tea to feed the scoby.

I ate fiber gel, then went to the library to return two books and check out two more. When I got home, I made breakfast and refilled several of the ingredients. I ate breakfast while reading e-mail. I went to 206 to clean. At 3 I went up the hill to sign for a house. They want it cleaned as soon as possible. So when I got back to 206, I tried to finish up. I did the windows and the fridge and the inside of the toilet.

I quit at 6 and went home to heat supper. We went for water now that the water machine is fixed. It took longer than I thought because other people were getting water, too. When we got back, I ate a quick supper then went to Bible study at the chapel.

We read a short chapter in Genesis, but the discussion ran long and somehow we ended up making plans for Two Pi day. It was quarter of 9 when I left. I don't know how long they stayed. I went home and made tea. We watched Criminal Minds. I worked on my blog. I worked on e-mail and went to bed.

Memorial Day

Monday

I slept in late because of lying awake for so long, without and then with RLS. I went through my morning list. I went to 206 to clean for 2 and a half hours. When I got home, I ate half of the fiber gel, then read in the sun. I made and ate breakfast I made up more supplements for the week ahead.

Michele and John came over to watch the newest Knives Out movie. When it was over, I checked my e-mail. Chris made brats for supper. We all ate together. Then at 6, I went to band. Only Sophia showed up. We two played through two hymns, then packed up and went home.

I ate supper listening to the others discuss the movie and social issues. Then we all went for a walk. Afterward, I worked on my blog and listened to a presentation on detoxing at Deeper Healing. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I watched a walkthrough of Indiana Jones, then went to bed.

Struggling to water the garden

Sunday

I got up around 8, no RLS (unless I slept through it). I did some Sudoku, then turned to my morning list. I did everything on the list. I ate the yogurts one spoonful at a time in order to identify the best tasting ones. I care more about health benefits than taste, but the people I share with apparently don't.

I made more breakfast mix and spice mix. I read out in the sun. I ate fiber gel and jotted notes for my blog. Chris took a shower and fixed his lunch. Then I made breakfast. After breakfast I got ready for church. I headed out, then turned around and came back for the cheese squares.

When I got to the chapel, I left the snack in the back and went up front to assemble my trombone. They were ready to start. And my music was nowhere to be found. The chaplain started the service with the giving QR code, and prayer and scripture reading. Then he gave his sermon on Pentecost. Afterward, Keli and I went up to play. I had to get the hymn numbers from her and play out of the hymnbook. It was much harder to read than the large print copies I use.

After the service, we chatted. Attendance was low and so most of the cheese squares were still there. We talked about VBS and then I went home to change clothes. Chris and I moved the tower garden outside. I watered the plants and some new gopher mounds.

I read e-mail. Chris made supper. I went to the garden to turn on the water. I tried to use an oscillating sprinkler but it didn't oscillate. So I put the old one back on. Jack had connected his hose to my bib so I stole some of his water pressure.

When I got home, supper was ready. I ate while listening to a podcast on exercising for people over 50. I read other things. I worked on my blog. I went back to the garden to turn off the water. I hooked up a timer, but could not get it tight enough so that it didn't leak during the off hours.

I went home. I watered the flowerbeds. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then we retired to our laptops. Eventually he went to bed. I stayed up to read before going to bed.

The biggest project of Project Night

Saturday

I got up at 8. I had to treat for RLS when I went to bed, but that was all. I checked out the game to see what comes next. I went through the morning list – which sadly is getting longer. Chris went to Mass and came home. He gave me a massage. I had planned to take a steam bath, but did not have enough time. I went to 206 to clean for an hour and 15 minutes.

I went home for lunch. I did not have time for sun. I packed some cleaning supplies and went to Tina's house. I was late because I missed the turn. We chatted, and then I dusted DVD's. It took several hours to dust from L to the beginning of O. Then I packed up and we chatted some more.

It was almost 5 when I got home. I checked e-mail. Chris was making supper. We talked about something until John and Michele came over. We all ate supper together and talked about what we are doing for her birthday next week.

At 7 I went to the chapel for Project Night. I never got around to advertising it, but Randy and the girls came. I held Rhythm Class for the girls while Randy worked on his 7-person tent. Then they went home and I sat and talked to Randy. I helped him roll up his tent. I turned off the lights and locked the doors. We chatted outside and then we went home.

When I got home, I watered the outdoor plants and some new gopher mounds. But no gopher appeared. Then I worked on my blog, posting for Thursday and Friday. I went to Michelle's house to check on the cat. I also watered the plants outside. Then I sat and scratched the cat for a bit before going home.

I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then we dressed the bed in clean sheets.  I checked out some actors on IMDB.  I caught up on e-mail, then got ready for bed.

The worst Game Night

Friday

I got up at 8, having woken at 1 and stayed awake for a long time. I went through my morning list in a leisurely fashion. I checked e-mail, then went to clean for 1:45 minutes. I came home at noon to eat fiber gel from yesterday and lay out in the sun.

After having breakfast, we went to the commissary. Afterward, we went to Tooele for a few things and to shop at Melanies. When we got home, there was not really enough time to go clean.

Chris made supper while I read e-mail. I ate the bowl of beef and rice he gave me. He left for his game while I got dressed for the tea party. I drove up the hill to the commander's house. I put on my hat and knocked on the door. Michele opened it, having arrived just a bit earlier.

The ladies were dressed nicely, but a few of us stood out. Anna Marie had a ballgown. Michele wore the bustle dress she'd made. I wore the blue hat I made in Korea with the matching dress. Anca said I looked like the Queen of England. Ria had put out a nice spread of tea-type treats. So we chatted as we partook. Then we gathered in the living room to play a game where you tell three things about yourself and one is a lie.

It was after 8:30 when I left. I went home to change clothes and prepare a bottle of tea. I worked on my blog but didn't post it. I went to Michelle's house to feed the cat. I also turned on the game and once it loaded, I was able to play. I learned how to shoot the snake, but could not progress from there. I clicked on HELP, and that got me an error. I tried to reload the game but it didn't work.

I noticed the lights on in the back yard. I looked out and saw potted plants. So I texted Casey asking if he wanted them watered and he said yes. He also helped me get the game back online. Then I went out to water the plants. However, the door shut behind me and it was locked. So I was outside with no phone, no keys and no ID. I decided to walk home.

As I passed Saronna's house, I noticed the lights were on and the front door open. There were 4 pup tents in the front yard. So I walked up to the door and knocked gently. Randy answered so I went in. Although it was after 11, he was still up. I told him my predicament. He called Casey and Casey called Dispatch and Dispatch said they would open it in half an hour. So I sat and talked to them for that time.

I walked back to Michelle's house where the policeman was standing. He asked for ID and I indicated the house. He unlocked the door and I brought out my ID. Then he left. I reloaded the game. I had Indy shoot the snake and I saved that game. Then I shut everything down and said goodbye to the cat.

When I got home, I did my bedtime routine and crawled in beside Chris. It took awhile to get to sleep.

Cleaning an apartment

Thursday

I got up at 8, thinking it was earlier. I started the morning list. I packed yogurt starter cups for Bible study. I didn't have notes, but I remembered the commentaries that I read. We took turns reading verses of Genesis chapter 27. Jacob and Esau were not identical twins and they were 77 at the time of the blessing. We discussed the chapter and other things as we thought of them.

Afterward, I went to Housing for a key to 206. I went home for yogurt, read in the sun, practiced, read by red light, made breakfast, ate while watching The Highwire. It was over too soon. A man called for a quote so we arranged to meet at 5. I put cleaning supplies in my car and went to 206 to clean. I got the toilet soaking, then went to Steve's apt to get his toilet soaking. Back at 206, I vacuumed and wiped furniture. Then I started at the end of the kitchen by cleaning cabinets, behind the stove, and the walls.

Almost 5, I left for the quote which was on the hill. I got there first and waited till he showed up. Then we toured the house. It looked fairly clean as empty houses go. But the shower was streaked with hard water. Since he is just moving to another house, I quoted him $400, and said I would return whatever I didn't need. We agreed on Tuesday.

I went by Michelle's house to bring the the trash bins and check on the cat. I went home and ate fiber gel. I read online. Chris came home with a pizza. There was nothing for me to eat except hardboiled eggs with toppings. After eating, I went out to water and to re-pot some plants. And annoy gophers. But none showed up. I worked on my blog. I was out of water but the AAFES water machine was broken so ….

I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. We cuddled on the couch. One thing led to another and we went to bed early. I woke up at 1 and did all the things I usually do just before bed. But then I couldn't get back to sleep.

First gopher of the year

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30, no RLS. Not sure why. I watered all the plants and took them outside. I washed dishes first, then prepared for Coffee Morning. After dry-brushing, exercising, meditating and tapping, I turned to house-cleaning. I cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen. I mopped the tile floors and vacuumed the carpeted ones. I made up more slippery elm capsules.

I read in the sun for half an hour, then prepared the sauna and took a steam bath. I showered and dried off. I got dressed and ate yogurt. I looked up each of my ferments to see if any were gram-negative. Just one: the akkermansia.

I went to 206 to meet Bobbie. We toured the apartment and discussed what needed to be done. Then we left. I sat in my car and came up with a price. I texted it to Steve. I went to the gym to give Davis an envelop. I talked to Tom for a bit.

I went to the garden to add a 4-faucet splitter. I planted some onion seed, then attached a hose and left the water on. I pulled a few weeds and went home. I made egg salad and ate it outside. Chris came home from work. We chatted a bit. I went outside to meet Steve. He gave me a key to his apartment so I could clean the toilet ring.

I listened to a podcast which seemed to be a book report. I worked on my blog. I went to turn off the water at the garden and check on the cat. The cat was fine, had lots of food and water.

When I got home, I watered the flowerbeds and some gopher holes. The gopher came up for air and never went back down. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then I read Genesis 27 and 28. I read some commentaries on those verses to prepare for Bible Study tomorrow. Then I checked Facebook one last time and got ready for bed.

Making yogurt

Tuesday

I got up before 7:30, having been awakened at dawn by RLS. But at least I didn't have to get up to pee. I brought in the milk and eggs. I could not open the milk. I started on my morning list. I tried again to open it. I texted Michelle to see if she could come over, but she was in town. I put a rubber band around the lid and tried again and again. Eventually I succeeded.

I heated half of the milk and let it cool, then put it in a half gallon jar. I heated the other half and let it cool, then parsed it out to existing ferments. I finished my morning list. I hardboiled a batch of eggs. I cut a watermelon into 4ths, then cubed the red flesh inside and froze it in bags. I also cut up the rind and took it out to the compost. It was a lot of cutting.

I ate fiber gel. I read outside. I made and ate breakfast. I checked on my ferments and turned down the heat. I put cleaning supplies in my car. I went to Saronna's house. She can't play or talk right now, so we sat on her back porch and watched the kids. She had a pad of paper to write what she wanted to say.

At 3, I went to Rod's house to clean. We talked a lot, then I cleaned for 10 minutes and we talked some more. By 5, I was on my way home. I stopped at the garden to turn on the water and got caught by Retreat. I had to run back and forth to get the right water pressure, then I went home.

I ate fiber gel again, then read e-mail. Chris came home from work. He changed clothes and made supper. After supper, I went out to mow here and there. Then I came in, and moved the ferments to the fridge. I worked on my blog. I went to the gym to give Davis his envelop, but he wasn't there. Michelle came by and gave me an envelop for Janet. I talked to Erin, then went to the garden to turn off the water. I proceeded to Casey's house, but he was on his way out. They were going to Saronna's house for a dutch oven treat. So I went home. I read some e-mail, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to read, then went to bed at the usual time.

Cleaning Rod's house

Monday

I got up before 7:30, having woken up early with RLS. So at least I slept most of the night. I went through my morning list. No milk or eggs were delivered. I watered the plants that belong outdoors.

At 9:30 I went to Rod's house to clean. The dog kept whining. I let it outside, but it was windy out and it whined to come back in. It kept wanting to follow me around the house, so I barricaded it into the den. That worked for awhile, then it would push the chairs and come out. So I had to put it back in the cage.

I cleaned the kitchen and the microfiber couch. I dusted. Dale came over before noon to feed the dog and play with it a bit. Then he went back to work. I went home for lunch.

When I came back at 2:30, I got a text from Isadora saying she could not come clean the bathrooms because she had to stay home with her dog. So I soaped up the tubs and sprayed the toilets and put toilet cleaner in the bowls. I cleaned surfaces that were covered in toiletries. Then I cleaned the toilets and vacuumed and mopped the main floors and the bathroom floors.

At 5, I moved all my cleaning stuff to the garage, then to my car. I drove home. I read e-mail for awhile and ate cheese squares. I picked some hymns for Sunday. Chris came home from work. He talked about someone who came to treat the gophers.

I took my good trombone and some yogurt to the chapel. I was so tired I could barely walk. I noticed all the lights were on, so I turned off the ones we don't need for band. Caleb and Jenni and I got started on hymns. Then Keli arrived so we did them again. Then we proceeded to the Broadway book. Elizabeth joined when she got home from work. As we played through songs, we all decided that she on her violin made the best soloist for Adele Vice. At 7, I called it quits. Everyone packed up and left. I had more to do, and then I left too.

I went home, and laid down. Chris put supper in the toaster oven. Later I got up to eat it. I read e-mail and messages. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed, and later so did I.

Setting out the hoses for the fruit trees

Sunday

I got up late. I cleared the sink. I went through the morning list. I made up a weeks worth of supplements. I made cheese squares and read by the infrared light. I took them out of the oven. I read e-mail for a bit, then made and ate breakfast.

I put some cheese squares in a container and went to the chapel.  I forgot to put the snack in the back.  So it was up front with me when I assembled my horn and all through the service.  After the service, the Clarks brought their kids over to tell me that they hope there will be more math mornings.

I went home. I changed clothes and checked messages. I fixed a bowl of yogurts. Saronna and Randy came over. I gave him the hoses, scarfed down some yogurt, and gave Saronna a quart of LRDR. Then we all went over to house #2 to hook up the hoses for the pear tree and the apple tree. From there, I went home to get a better sprinkler head. I went to the garden to hook it up and turn on the water, kinda low. It was very windy as a cold front is coming through.

I went home and finished my yogurt. I made notes for my blog. I brought in my potted plants. Chris cooked supper. I went back to the garden to shut off the water and clear the hose. I came back to play the game, but then Jamie called from Germany so I went in the back to talk to her while the gamers chatted about stuff. It was 1:30 in Germany, so after a while, we hung up so she could go to bed.

Then I joined the others for the game. We intrepid adventurers went out to meet an army of the undead and fought off the skirmish line. Then the game was paused at 8 and we all signed out.

I went over to Michelle's house. Casey showed me how to work with the Indiana Jones game. It was complicated and quirky and touchy and ugg! But I played the game long enough to get the hang of saving it and reloading it. Michelle talked to me about other things like her upcoming trip.

At 10, I exited the game. Casey told me to come back on Tuesday. I went home. Chris had turned on the light for me. He went to bed and I stayed up to work on my blog. I also brought in the outdoor plants because it is supposed to go down to 30F.

Someone new to Project Night!

Saturday

I got up at 7:30, having had RLS. I started my morning list. Chris went to Mass. I ate yogurt and refilled most of the jars with milk. I put them in the dehydrator to cure. When Chris got home, he gave me a massage. I took a shower and got dressed. I reinforced edges of the massage sheet which seems to be shredding in the wash.

I made and ate breakfast. I walked to the swap shop to unlock it and shove some bags inside. I got the mail, ate more, then returned the post hole digger to Self-Help. I went to the garden to hook up a sprinkler head. The head turned out to be in terrible shape. It was not adjustable any more. I pulled some weeds, weedwhacked others, and found some garlic growing. I took two of them home.

When I got home, I watched videos on growing vegetables. Chris brought me a bowl of fish and rice. Michele and John came over late to eat. She had been helping shear sheep. Later I went to the chapel. Victoria came, I greeted her. Then Casey and Cedric came, and finally John and Michele. I cut strips while the others worked on their projects. Then they packed up and left. I packed up, turned off light, locked up, and went home.

I helped Chris fold laundry. We made the bed. I worked on my blog. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Later he went to bed. I read online, then hit the hay as well.

Fixing a flat

Friday

I got up at 7:30. RLS I went through the list, read with the red light, and ate yogurt. At 9 I went to Math Morning. The Clarks were waiting for me. They brought math games. I played a game with the kids and was surprised that it took the entire time.

I went home. I made more breakfast mix. I made and ate breakfast. I made a grocery list, then sat outside in the sun.

Later we went to the commissary. When we got back, Sgt Popken was parked and ready to remove Chris' flat tire. After the tire was removed, I asked about using his outdoor faucet to water the apple and pear trees. He said yes and asked for a hose. So I gave him a hose.

We took the flat tire to Toole. Chris got it fixed while I talked to Melanie about business. When Chris got back, we shopped at Luckeys, and looked for onion sets at Cal-Ranch but they sold out a month ago.

We went home. I read e-mail. A friend picked Chris up for gaming. I took my stakes and went to the garden. I watered it, then used the post hole digger and put the stakes down in as far as I could. I continued to water and weed. Then I washed off the digger and went home.

I put supper in the oven. I read e-mail and messages. I changed clothes and prepared a yogurt cup and tea. I went to game night at Michelle's house. She and Saronna were talking out front. I talked with them, then went inside and talked to Casey until Michelle came in. We played her game called Little Bang Story. Very cute. It was after 11 when I finally quit – hard to stop. She gave me a batch of kombucha that was very vinegary – maybe alcoholic? She also gave me the Venmo cash and a yogurt called Yakult – which has a probiotic for sleep. I drove home carefully and then worked on my blog and took a Moon Drop and went to bed.

Electroculture sticks

Thursday

I got up before 7:30. RLS visited several times during the night. What gives? I went through my morning list which include reading with the red light, practicing and sampling the batches of yogurt. I watered all the plants. I boiled the spoons used for yogurt.

Jenni called about Bible Study, but I told her it was canceled today. I deleted lots of e-mails and read a few. I read articles as well. I went out to do yard work: raking up sticks and tumbleweeds on the other side of the house. I started moving the top of the compost pile so I could use the finished compost underneath.

I ate fiber gel, finished doing something, then made breakfast. I ate while watching The Highwire. Then I worked on the rucksack, covering the patch with one that matched. I went to the post office and swap shop, then dropped the rucksack at the chapel.

I went to Self Help and got a post hole digger. I wanted an edger too, but they didn't have one. When I got home, I painted part of 4 dowels. I stripped aluminum wire, then wrapped the sticks with copper and with aluminum wire.

Chris came home from work. I made and ate supper. I mixed compost with charcoal dirt and potted some tomato plants and petunias. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched TV. Then I watched some video clips. I investigated probiotics for parasites. Then I went to bed.

Picking up tumbleweeds

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30, no RLS. Have I finally beaten it? I got ready for meditation morning with the usual exercises and red light exposure. Then I did four rounds of meditation. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I vacuumed the carpeted rooms. I painted the end of the vacuum wire and left it to dry.

I prepared the steam tent and sweated for 20 minutes. I showered and cleaned up. I wanted to lay down for awhile, but the wind was blowing and I had to put the tumbleweeds in the dumpster that arrived this morning. So I went out and found the wind had blown the tumble weeds back where they came from. Sigh. I started picking them up and my back began to hurt a lot. So I took some curcumin and laid down for a bit, then got up and put on a back brace. I also got a reacher so I wouldn't have to bend down. In spite of the discomfort, I picked up all the tumbleweeds I could find and threw them in the dumpster. I also picked up the pile of sticks and threw them in as well. There were more sticks from the wind blowing the trees, but I'd had enough.

I got my book and read till I finished it. Then I ate 5 kinds of yogurt and made egg salad. Chris came home from work. We talked. Then I went to the post office for mail, and to the gym to return Steve's mended glove. He talked to me for half an hour, then I slipped out. I stopped at the chapel to get a sewing machine cord and I went home.

I plugged the cord into the new machine and put it through its paces. It worked well. Too bad it came without a cord.

I read through my Telegram messages, wishing the print were larger. I worked on my blog. I mowed where I had raked, plus the strip down the street and then the bit of the other side yard that was left from last time.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Michelle stopped by during for the swap shop key to drop off stuff from a neighbor. 15 minutes later, she came back with the key. After the program, I figured up what each person gets paid for cleaning and told Michelle how much goes to Isadora. I iced my arm while reading online. Chris went to bed, and later so did I.

Fixing Popken's rucksack

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30, no RLS. I went through my morning list, then took a steam session. I opened swap shop by request. I read online, then mended Popken's pouch. I ate fiber gel and read out in the sun. I made and ate breakfast.

I went to my 2pm inspection at 1:30 so I could check the house for anything I missed. But two of the inspectors were already there. They went in with me. The younger one found something and I cleaned it up. Everything else was fine. We signed papers and I gave Bobbie the key. We chatted and Jack showed up.

Then I went by the garden to see what the watering options were. Someone had hooked up a 4 spigot head and there was only one spigot left. So I went home and got hoses from my shed. I read a little, then opened the furniture room by request. I proceeded to the garden to hook up to the last open faucet. It took a while to untangle the hoses. Then I discovered that I only needed two so I brought one hose home.

I stopped at the swap shop to lock it, grabbing the tall laundry basket. At home, I replaced the tall box holding mops and brooms. I jotted notes for my blog.

I worked on Popkens rucksack, but I could not get it under the needle. I had to sew by hand. I also checked out the new sewing machine. It has no cord but it makes stitches. Chris came home from work. He put my supper in the toaster oven and his supper in the microwave. I worked on my blog. I ate supper, then mowed till the battery ran down. I raked up sticks into piles. I put all the tumbleweeds in their own pile for disposal tomorrow. I hope there is no wind tomorrow.

I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. He went to bed. I stayed up a little later, then got ready for bed.

Eggs and milk

Monday

I got up before 7:30. No RLS. I brought in the milk and eggs. While heating the milk, I went through my morning list. I cooled down the first half and heated up the second half. I ate all the yogurt in several jars. I washed the jars and put them in the hot oven to sterilize. I started some new batches of yogurt and put them in the dehydrator.

I went to the library to return a book and check out two more, one of which I might have read two decades ago. I chatted with the librarians and other patrons, then came home.

I ate fiber gel, then sunbathed outside. Afterward, I made and ate breakfast. I put on a video of a man playing a steel drum-like instrument. Very soothing. I read my book and kept nodding off. Later I made tea to feed the scoby.

I hardboiled several batches of eggs. I poured all the pickling juices together, then heated it and added salt and vinegar. I poured it back into the jars and added peeled eggs. I made more laundry detergent. I picked hymns for next Sunday. I prepared a jar of yogurt for Keli.

After more fiber gel, I went to band. Keli showed up and I gave her yogurt. We played through the hymns. Sophia came late and played along. We went through 3 songs in the Broadway book, then played through some stuff we brought from home.

After band, I came home to eat supper. I mowed until the light got low. Then I posted to my blog and made tea. We watched the last episode of season 9. We both retired to our laptops. After awhile Chris went to bed. Later, so did I.

Mother's Day

Sunday

I got up at 8. Chris was already up. Apparently he can't sleep on the meds. I followed the morning list except for practicing and exercising. I read by the red light. I used it on my foot. I found a card from Chris on my laptop. I posted to Facebook for Mother's Day. I washed all my yogurt spoons and some other dishes besides. I sifted through the sprouts to take out the seeds that hadn't sprouted yet. I ate several yogurts.

I ate fiber gel, then laid in the sun and finished my book. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I threw some shower bombs in a drawstring sack I had made months ago. I took cheese squares and went to the chapel.

Chapel was sparsely attended. I handed out shower bombs to those women who came. The chaplain handed out flowers to us women as well. He gave the sermon. Afterward, we played hymns (apparently the same ones as last week). Then we had communion. We few talked a bit. Keli picked up the flowers from self-help and we split them up. Keli carried them to my car for me. John gave me fabric from Tina.

I went to the gym to turn on the sauna. I got in a conversation with Steve, and then Davis walked in. I went home to change clothes. I put the flowers in water. I tried to go through all the videos that Faye sent. I went to the sauna to meet Michelle. Jenni got a better offer so she didn't come. Michelle and I talked for an hour or more. I showered off and got dressed. We walked out together.

I went home and ate fiber gel. Chris had supper ready. We signed into Discord for the game. While waiting for John, Chris called Cecily to wish her a happy day.  Then we intrepid explorers entered a haunted house, explored it, reunited the mother ghost and daughter ghost, then turned it into a bed and breakfast.

After the game, I went to the school to meet Jenni. Michele and John came as well. We all walked around the school block – about a mile. Then we went our own way.

Chris was binge watching Lucifer. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched Criminal Minds with ice pack.. I cleared e-mail and went through my bedtime list. Then I went to bed.

My foot is not a weed

Saturday

I got up at 8. I think taking the Somna so late made it harder to get up in the morning. Chris was sleeping on the couch. I followed the morning list except for practicing. I read with the red light for too long. I put the book down when Chris got up at 10. He made coffee and breakfast. I watched a long video on growing tomatoes.

It was 11:30 till we commenced with the massage. Then I ate fiber gel and read outside. I made breakfast and ate it. I took a shower and put on shorts. I walked to the swap shop to open it for someone. When I got back, I ate some hard boiled eggs.

Later I went to the swap shop to drop off stuff and to lock it. Then I went to 624 to trim the lawn. I accidentally trimmed my foot to begin with. But it didn't bleed. I used the corded trimmer and then it mysteriously quit. So I put more string on the spool and inserted it in the cordless trimmer. Then I finished the job. I threw out some stuff in the garage, and pulled out all my cleaning supplies.

I stopped at Saronna's house to drop off two things, then I went home. I read about electroculture while Chris cooked meatloaf. I also trimmed the yard and planted one of the tomato cuttings.

Michele and John came over at 6, tired from RenFaire. She was dressed in one of her Renaissance dresses. We sat and had dinner. She gave me a card for Mother's Day. We talked a little bit, but then I had to gather my things and go to the chapel.

I unlocked the doors to the chapel. I was alone so I went out to pull weeds from the stone beds. Then Casey arrived. So I went in with him and we talked until I heard voices. The Clark kids were arriving.

When they were all here, the father got out a sewing machine to repair some sleeping bags. I taught Rhythm class to the 3 older ones. Then I dismissed them. I took Wilhelm out to help me weed and we talked. Then his father finished and came out to collect his kids. I went in and talked to Casey about the yogurt sample. He packed up and left. I checked the bathrooms and turned out the lights before I left.

When I got home, I made tea and we watched Criminal Minds. I tied some ice to my arm. Later we made the bed with washed sheets. I took Somna and worked on my blog. Then I got ready for bed.

Chris goes to the oral surgeon

Friday

I took Somna last night, no RLS but I woke up before 7. I got up to follow the morning list. There was no Math Morning because the kids aren't getting assignments anymore. When I went to school, we had lessons every day but the very last day. Is school a joke now?

I read e-mail till Michele came to pick up Chris to take him to the oral surgeon. Then I prepared the steam tent and sweated for 20 minutes. I read outside for awhile, then ate fiber gel and made up supplements for the week. Then I made and ate breakfast. I posted pics of what was left in the garage.

About 2, I looked at the grocery list and texted Chris. I went to the commissary and picked up what was on the list plus what he texted me. I took the food home and put away the cold things.

I went to the house to finish the floors and kitchen counter tops. John came over and moved the remaining furniture into the garage. Then I went home for the weed whacker. Chris was home and he showed me how to use it. But when I got back to the house, I discovered that there was no string in it.

I puttered around until Casey came over to look through. He wasn't wanting anything, but he said he would come back and sort the stuff worth keeping from the stuff worth throwing out. So I scrubbed at oil spots on the garage floor till Saronna came over to get the vacuum. Randy brought his mower as I requested, but instead of me mowing, he did it. Then he went home and got some string for my trimmer. But when he opened it, the 'bobbin' was missing. Oh well.

They went home. Casey stayed to help me throw out some boxes of stuff. Then I closed the garage and we each went home.

I ate fiber gel and made egg salad for supper since the leftovers were gone. I looked for the bobbin of trimmer string in the shed and couldn't find one. I read e-mail for awhile and posted to my blog. I mowed the front yard till 8:30.

Then I got ready for Game Night by putting some greens in a baggie for Michelle and filling a bottle with tea. So I got there late. They were busy but Casey put up Indiana Jones and I tried again, but fell off the mountain. Again. So then Michelle showed me a game she likes to play and I thought it was really cute. I played through the first level with a little help from her. She says she plays it multiple times a day while she subs.

We talked about yogurt and I promised her a sample. I went home and took Somna. I read a little bit online to give it time to dissolve. Then I went to bed.

Passing out the leftovers

Thursday

I got up before 7, no RLS. I made breakfast mix, then completed the morning list. I washed spoons. then took yogurt samples. I added milk to the remaining yogurt. I read with the red light.

I took my Bible bag and went to post office but they were closed. I went home to eat some yogurt and fill a water bottle. I threw Casey's trap in the car. I went to the chapel to unlock it, then ran back to the post office to mail the letter.

I returned to the chapel for Bible study. Afterwards, I passed out yogurt cups. I went to Self Help to get flowers. I took them and the remaining yogurt home. I went to the spouse's appreciation event. We colored coasters and small notebooks.

I went home, ate fiber gel, and read outside. I made breakfast, ate while watching The Highwire.

At 2, I went to clean. I went through the stuff in garage. Revonna came over for furniture but stayed to talk. Steve came over and got the ramps. Popken came over and picked up the air fryer and crock pot. I cleaned from 3:30 to 6.

I went home for supper. Alfred called and we talked to him for awhile. I ate supper, then mowed in side yard. I changed clothes and we went to the Star Party. There was an over-my-head discussion of black holes and the time-space grid. Then we went outside to look through telescopes that were set up by guys from the university. It was very interesting. I talked to Randy and we decided that there was no reason for Math Morning tomorrow.

We came home after 10. I read e-mail then wrote my blog post. Eventually I watered the plants and went to bed.

Lawn needed mowing - but it's just dandelion heads

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30, having slept pretty well. I prepared for coffee morning and meditation. After all that, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I read outside for half an hour, then steamed for 20 minutes. I took a shower and got dressed. I ate some yogurt. I checked e-mail and saw one from Housing warning us that our lawn needed mowing.

I went to 624 to clean. Michelle came over with the cleaning kit and Isadora came pushing a lawn mower. Michelle talked to me for some time. I promised to send her a screen shot of a Facebook post that I read. She left and Isadora and I cleaned. When she finished the bathrooms, I hoped she would mow. But she changed her mind. She walked home with her mower and later I dropped off her cleaning kit.

I heated up supper. After eating, I mowed until the mower battery ran down. I hooked the battery up to recharge. I read e-mail, then worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I tried to look up how to make a 'fence' with stakes wrapped in copper and zinc, but I got no relevant hits. I went to bed.

Fermenting a new strain of yogurt

Tuesday

I got up about 7:30. The Somna didn't work. I woke up twice to use the bathroom. I heard Reveille and Chris taking a shower.

I brought in the eggs and milk from the front porch. I started heating half in a pot and went through my morning list. When the milk reached 180, I turned the heat off. I read by the red light. I poured at least half in the yogurt maker jar and set it for 24 hours. It contained the new reuteri and crispatus strains. I added some to the other ferments. I heated the second half of the milk. I washed jars and heated them in the oven.

By 10:30 I was at a good stopping point. I headed out to clean. I worked on the fridge and on cabinets. Wendy and Dale came over to pick through the garage and kitchen. They left about noon. I left soon after for breakfast.

I stopped at the post office and picked up the mail. I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. I added more milk to the ferments and washed more jars. I strained the LAB and put the solids in a bowl. I took my trombone and went to Saronna's house. Michelle was there so the three of us talked through the whole session and then some.

Finally, I went back to the house on Coyote. I resumed working in the kitchen. John came over and cleaned high shelves, door frames, etc. He would have done fans, but there weren't any. He and I carried the furniture down from upstairs. Then he left.

I continued to clean. Then Isadora showed up about 5. She cleaned the downstairs bathroom in record time and found a box of stuff in the Harry Potter room. I vacuumed baseboards and behind drawers. I cleaned a window. By 6 we were both tired. I took her home.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel. I put supper in the toaster oven. I mowed the back yard. I ate supper and watched a video clip. I moved the ferments to the dehydrator. I poked into some gopher tunnels and dropped in some moth balls. Then I washed my hands.

I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I cleared e-mail and went to bed.

Let the give-away begin!

Monday

I woke up before 7:30, having slept through everything. Even the usual bathroom run. I did some Sudoku, then followed my morning list. There were no eggs or milk by my front door. I ate yogurt, then went to Steve's apartment to shampoo his carpet. First I vacuumed then I shampooed the first room. Then I did the same to the second room. He left a stack of 20's and a glove that needed fixing. I took $40 and the glove. I moved all my cleaning stuff to my car and took it home.

I laid in the sun, then made and ate breakfast. Before 2, I went to 212 for inspection. It passed. I had to tell them about the broken glass shelf and I offered to pay for it. Afterward, I unlocked the swap shop. Then I came back to bag up the router and leave it hanging on the door knob.

I went to the house on Coyote. It was a complete mess. Steve came over and hauled off bags of trash while I swept and filled more bags. There was a sewing machine in a box. He put it in my car. Then he took a few things and left. Michele texted me that her co-worker needed a bookcase. I took a pic of the one left behind. The co-worker came to get the bookcase and found a few other things as well. I made a bag of things I wanted and put them in my car. I cleaned behind the stove and fridge, then started cleaning cabinets.

Saronna and Randy came over. I took them in the kitchen to see what was left. She filled some bags with food and such. I took him in the garage to go through what was left. He found lots of stuff, including a plasma battery for his truck.

I noticed it was after 5 and I had to go home to get ready for band. I told them to close the garage door when they left. I went home to have a bite to eat and to rest. Then I went to the chapel for band. It was just Keli and Caleb and I. So we practiced the two hymns, then played fun stuff.

I came home. I asked Jenni why she didn't come to band. She said her back was overworked. So I ran over there with a cumin supplement for inflammation. We chatted and I came home. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I read online for awhile before going to bed.
