Four loads of laundry

Tuesday

I got up at 8, having slept fairly well. I did the usual and got dressed. I checked e-mail and Telegram messages and Facebook. I got a text from the lady minding the swap shop about clothing being dirty. So I drove over there and yes, the recent donation was dirty. She helped me load it all in my car.

I took it home to wash. Some of it looked like someone had just taken it off and dropped it in the donation bag instead of a laundry hamper. Some smelled like smoke. Others were ok. I got the first of what turned out to be four loads started. I made breakfast before noon so I wouldn't be in Chris' way. I read e-mail and ate. He pulled out the bread machine, so later I loaded it with ingredients and got it started.

At 2, I went to Saronna's house to play music. We talked mostly, but did get in some play time. Afterward, I went home to change out the loads. I texted Michelle to go walking but she said she was off post. So I texted Jenni. We met at the gym. I insisted on walking outside because it was such a nice day. Hard to believe it is January.

I did more laundry when I got home. I opened doors and windows. I glued a piece of cardboard to the back of a shoe that got squished. I read e-mail and messages. I made and ate a salad. I took two bags of washed clothing to the swap shop. I sorted it into the proper bins.

Chris came home from work. I glued the soles back into some shoes. I finished the laundry. Chris helped me load it in the car. I took it to the swap shop and sorted it. When I got home, I worked on my blog. I put some money out for the egg lady's husband in the morning.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of SGA. He went to bed but I stayed up to read a book, hoping that would make falling asleep easier.

A community opportunity

Monday

I got up after 8, having slept pretty well – when not afflicted by rls. I did the usual morning stuff. I started boiling the water in the pot. I read e-mail, started packing. I took apart the handle of the case that broke but could not find a way to get inside the handle.

I made and ate breakfast. I listened to a doctor and his chiropractor wife talk about a property they have in Costa Rica where they want to build a community of people to live off of the land. It sounded pretty good.

I met Michelle at the gym and we went walking in the sunshine. It was an unseasonably lovely day. I opened the back door, and let the fresh air in while I read e-mail and listened to podcasts. Later I closed it as the temp cooled off. I put salad greens in the spinner and meat in the toaster oven.

Chris came home from work. I took a shower, then told him about Costa Rica. I made a salad and ate it with the beef. He told me about the ceremony he attended this morning.

I went to the chapel at 7. Saronna and Keli were waiting. I unlocked the door and we all went in. Only two kids tonight. I pulled out the parts to the patriotic tunes. I gave the flute part to the piano player. Then we played through them, but it wasn't good 'cause we didn't have enough parts. Since some of those songs are in the hymnal, we tried playing from there and it was much better. It would have been even better if I could see the notes clearly, but the distance is wrong for the focal length of my bifocals.

At 7:45 we packed up. We were out by 8. I went home and Chris asked how it went. I jotted notes for my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of SGA while I crocheted a wash cloth out of scrubby yarn. I pulled it out several times hoping to get a more rectangular shape.

Afterward, I brushed my teeth. Chris checked e-mail one last time and went to bed. I listened to a presentation of James Corbett on how to create community. Then I went to bed.

Pot luck

Sunday

We slept in late, till 8:30. I took supplements, the went to brush my teeth with the new toothpaste and the ingredients were not what I expected so I got online to look them up. They weren't quite the same as what was on the tube. And it had glycerin, which I try not to use. I looked it up, and the website had it on there. Some sites say it is not a problem, but others say it is. I could not find it on Greenmedinfo.

Chris packed and left for some place 3 hours away. I made breakfast and ate it, then got dressed for church. I took two containers of pineapple and my trombone and headed to the chapel. Rick and Pastor Chris were already there. I put the pineapple in the fridge then warmed up on trombone. I talked to people until the service started.

We sang two songs, then he preached from Revelation, chapter 15 I think. Afterward, Saronna and I played two hymns. Then he prayed for the meal, and we went to the fellowship hall for pot luck. There were two crock pots, one of beef hash, and one of chicken gumbo. We also had pineapple and tiny oranges. I talked to Pastor Chris about the conflict in Israel. He was certain the Israelies were completely justified in bombing Gaza.

So we left around 3. I went home and changed clothes and read e-mail. I put a pot on the stove to boil. Then I packed a swim suit and went to the gym. Michelle was almost done on the treadmill, so I did half my weighted workout. Then we went into the sauna. It was nice and hot! We talked for some time. Then we got out, dried off and went home.

I washed up and put on my nightgown. I added water to the boiling pot. I listened to an interview about omega-3s. I heated some beef for supper. I pieced digital puzzles. I asked GabAI for trombone music, but none of the links worked. I worked on my blog post. Then I watched Psych snippets on Youtube.

And finally it was time for bed.

Second game night in a row

Saturday

I got up at 8. Chris was still out gaming. I got ready for the day and checked e-mail. I went to the company house, passing Chris on his way back. I stopped for the mail, then went to the house to collect the leftover laundry and bring it home. I threw the towels in my washer. I cut up two pineapples for tomorrow. I threw the sheets in the wash.

Chris gave me a massage. Then he took his shower and I took mine. He made his lunch and then I made my breakfast. I threw the sheets in the dryer.

I made more breakfast mix for the week. I used the pineapple rind to make pineapple tea. I ate my breakfast while reading e-mail and Telegram messages.

Someone messaged me wanting to go to the swap shop. So I threw on my shoes and grabbed the company laundry and went over there. Some policemen were showing a new guy around. We talked about the shop and I encouraged them to take anything they wanted.

Then the messager showed up. We talked, he brought in stuff. Then he and his wife took two coffee tables. I proceeded to the company house where I made the bed and hung up the towels. I sprayed the kitchen and bathrooms with hydrogen peroxide.

I went home to return the basket to Chris. He left to put gas in his car and stuff. I jotted notes for my blog. I went to the company house to finish cleaning for 40 minutes. Then I stopped by the swap shop to pick up my handbag which I left by accident earlier. Leaving the post office, I noticed how dirty the pushbars on the door were, so I got my cleaning cloth and cleaned them.

I went home, and read online. I ate beef and mushrooms and string beans that Chris cooked. I continued to read as I ate. Michelle delivered a bag of seed starter. I worked on my blog and poured myself a bottle of tea.

I took some cheese squares and went to Michelle's house. I gave her the cheese, then started the game. I had the codes for the crystals and punched them in in the correct order, but it didn't work. I assumed I took too long, so I did it again, and again and again. I asked Michelle to read them to me, but still it didn't work. Finally I changed one number and then, poof! The path opened up and I went forward. But after exploring, I did not know what to do next.

It was 10:30 and they were tired, so I thanked them and left. I went home and watched the walkthrough till I discovered the next step. Then I got ready for bed, and retired for the night.

The sewer backs up again

Friday

I got up around 8. Chris had already left for SLC with the colonel. I got ready for the day, then checked messages. I opened the chapel for Math Morning at 9. Summer called to say the swap shop was locked, so I ran over there to unlock it. When I got back, I worked on stacknwhack hexagons. Then Saronna and her kids arrived. Sophia had an old math book, so I found something we could work on together. Then I helped Moira with her worksheet.

When they left, I packed up and went home. I read e-mail and listened to interviews. I made breakfast and ate it. Chris came home, and we went to Tooele to shop. I stopped in at Melanie's to let them know I wouldn't be in next week. When we got back, we shopped at the commissary. When we got home, we unloaded the groceries.

I went to the company house to start washing the sheets. I came back and read articles. At 6 I went back but a guy was there and he said the sewer backed up again. I offered to call it in but he said he already had. I went home and told Chris since this is the third time it has backed up like that.

I heated leftover steak. I made a salad, and listened to a podcast on longevity. I filled capsules with bee propolis. What a mess! I ate seed crackers with avocado dip. I watched videos on crocheting with pull tabs. Then I worked on my blog, filled a bottle with tea, and put some fermented mash in a container.

I took all of that and a water jug and went to game night. At first I talked to Michelle and then played Myst IV. I spent all evening trying to figure out the code for the gears below, and then the code for each crystal in the control panel. I only found 3 of 4. Suddenly I discovered it was after 11! Casey filled the water bottle and put it in my car. We talked about project night and then I went home.

I did not go by the company house since there were work trucks there earlier. I went home, shut everything off, put on the last foot detox patch, did my yoga stretches and went to bed.

Swap Shop meeting

Thursday

I had a long long night because getting to sleep was so hard. I got up when I heard the 8am alarm. Since I haven't heard the 7:30 alarm all week, I checked my phone to make sure it was still enabled. Chris had already gone to work even though things were opening 2 hours late due to fog.

I made breakfast and put on The Highwire. Chris came home for lunch. I listened to Jeffery Jaxxen, then to Jaime from Gays Against Groomers. At 2 I met Jamie at apt 105 for a quote. Then we sat at the end of the hall and caught up on each other's current events.

I went to Housing to talk to Connie. Then I went home for about an hour before going to the swap shop for a meeting. I thought I was running it, but the colonel's wife also seemed to be in charge. We discussed how to handle the loads of clothes that are coming in, and what items to move to the furniture room. After the meeting, Sherry and I moved some furniture to the new swap shop furniture room and put the legs back on some tables. Then I stayed to talk to Jenni and Steve.

I went home for supper. Chris was home with his pizza. I ate leftover steak and rice. I read e-mail and listened to a podcast on exercise over 50. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched two episodes of SGA. Later he went to bed and I stayed up till 11, then went through my bedtime ritual.

Timing the sauna

Wednesday

I got up and prepared for meditation morning. For the tapping process, I concentrated on issues related to aging. Afterward, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I mopped floors and vacuumed.

I took my yoga bag and went to the yoga room at the post office. But the yoga instructor wasn't there. So I picked up my mail and went home. Then I found a message on Facebook from her saying she would be late.

I turned around and went back. We started talking and finally I mentioned we had 15 minutes left. So, then we got started and finished 45 minutes late. From there, I went to the gym. Michelle thought I shouldn't lift weights after yoga, so we took hand weights and walked the track. Then we agreed to come back at 7 for the sauna.

When I got home, I watered and fertilized the plants. I cracked open a young coconut and drank the juice. I scraped out the insides. I read articles and listened to interviews.

Chris came home from Mass just before 7. I called Michelle to find out if we were still meeting at the sauna. Then I packed and ran to the gym. I turned it on and she arrived. We changed clothes and went inside to time the heat. It took almost an hour to heat up to where we wanted it, so we made a mental note to turn it on before working out.

After talking for an hour, it got hot and we left. I went home, and put my sweaty clothes in the wash. I worked on my blog, and made tea. We watched two episodes of SGA. I crocheted another scrubby during the first one, and cuddled up with Chris for the second one. Then we both went to bed. I got up later to turn stuff off and take the parasite capsules.

Dehydrating carrot fronds

Tuesday

I got up after 8, not having slept well. I did the usual morning stuff. I looked for hydroxyapatite, and ordered new toothpaste with it. I harvested carrot tops and put them in the dehydrator. I used the Kaatsu device while doing stuff around the house.

I listened to interviews from a longevity summit, then started making breakfast. Chris came home for lunch. I ate and read e-mail until 2.

I went to Saronna's house. We played and chose two hymns. At 3, I went to the gym to walk with Michelle, but we played racquet ball instead. When I got home, I called the dentist to set up an appointment for the crown. I ate half a jar of sprouts and started new jar.

I listened to an interview and pieced puzzles. I put leftover steak in the toaster oven. Chris came home from work and made his supper. The steak was REALLY good. Then I ate three carrots from the bag in the garage. All had sprouted, so I cut the tops off and added them to my carrot forest.

I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched two episodes of SGA. Later he went to bed, but I stayed up till 11 reading an article.

First band night for the year

Monday

I got up before 7:30. I had heard Reveille, but not Chris' shower. However, his towel was wet so I must have fallen back asleep. It was still dark and I looked for things I could do without turning on the lights. Now that they are LED's, it is just too bright.

I took my supplements and brushed my teeth. I threw the soaked white shirts in the wash. I ironed a piece of blue quilt backing. It was tough to do on a wool pad. I cut some muslin to make a pocket for one of my sling bags. I started whipstitching it in place, then watered the tower garden and all the other plants. I washed out the carrot garden containers and refilled them. The shirts did not come out white, so I washed them again with a little bleach.

I did more whipstitching, then went to the swap shop to meet Michelle. She wasn't there yet, so I picked up the mail and then started sweeping the shop. When I saw her standing outside, I went out and we entered the new room together. We sat and talked about possibilities for the room, and her work situation. From where I was sitting, I could see Chris come into the post office. I waved at him energetically, but apparently he could not see me.

I went home. I made and ate breakfast and read e-mail. I was expecting Mery to text at 5, but she didn't. So I drove down to the shop and unlocked the room again so she could get the boxes of glasses. Then I came home and finished listening to an interview on the pipebombs from January 6th. I looked online for flute and trumpet parts to music that I had trombone parts for. Mostly it wasn't possible to get them in the right arrangement and/or the right key. Sigh.

I put greens in the salad spinner to wash them. I pulled out a jar of pickled green thing and opened it. It started to erupt. I held on tight, letting the fizz out slowly, but the green slaw wanted to come out too. It was even funnier that suddenly I had to pee. When enough pressure had been released, I set it down and went to the bathroom. Then I scooped the mash out of the jar in small batches and put them through the Magic Bullet to get rid of the tough pieces. It turned out rather well.

Chris came home from work and started broiling steaks. He opened the other jar for me. It was not under pressure. Hmm. I blended it up too. I made my salad and used the pickled mash as salad dressing. I worked on my blog.

I went to the chapel with my trombone at 7. I turned on the lights and set up stands and grabbed some music books. Saronna came with her bass and her kids. No one else came so she and Sophia and I played through some pieces that I didn't have all the parts for.

When we were done, I counted to 20 for the littlest kids to pick up their toys and put them away. Then we all went home. I made tea and we watched two episodes of StargateA. While watching, I sewed on the pocket and ran out of thread. Afterward, I went to my sewing room for more thread and finished the job. I put the contents back in and hung it by my coat.

Chris went to bed but I stayed up to read. I got to bed later than usual and had a hard time getting to sleep.

No gaming today

Sunday

I got up at 8. I took all the morning supplements. I read e-mail for awhile, then I parsed out supplements for the week. I made a batch of seed crackers and Chris hard-boiled some eggs. He told me he was going to chapel today instead of gaming.

I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed and took a container of cheese squares from the fridge. Chris carried my trombone to the car. He drove us to the chapel. When we got inside, I set the container on the back table. I went up front to assemble my trombone.

Chris greeted a man sitting on the front row with a little girl. Apparently Chris had told him there would be children for his daughter to play with. But most kids didn't come today, probably with colds.

We sang two praise songs. Then the chaplain read verses in the old testament about different sets of people repairing the walls of Jerusalem. It was about as interesting as reading the 'begats'. When the sermon was over, I played Victory in Jesus and it went so well that the chaplain asked for the 3rd verse, and I didn't play a second hymn.

Afterward, people chatted and snacked. Michelle introduced us to a couple from some religious affairs committee. I packed up my trombone and we headed out.

When we got home, I combined all the cheese squares into one container. I ate some fruit and nuts. I read e-mail and listened to some interviews. I watched a film made by two brothers who followed the immigrant trail from Equador to the U.S. Border. That showed how bad the trip is and how dangerous.

I heated up the last of the beef heart, then worked on my blog. I posted an announcement for band tomorrow. I made tea and we watched two episodes of StargateA. I held the red light to my head most of the time, hoping to influence the itchy spot.

Afterward, I brushed my teeth and read e-mail for awhile. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to take two anti-parasite capsules, then went to bed.

Project Night

Saturday

I got up just before 9. Chris was home from his 5am DnD game. I took supplements, fertilized the plants, etc. I made more flax/chia mix. I listened to Tucker Carlson interview Tony Robbins. Then Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. I took a shower, then made enough breakfast mix for a week.

I made breakfast and ate it. I whipped up a batch of cheese squares with bacon. Then Chris helped me carry the machine and bag of notions to the chapel. I set up the machine and got ready for sewing class. Saronna had told me her kids were sick and going to stay home. But Sophia called and asked if she could come. I said yes. Later Isadora came with her fabric and a dress pattern. I was there past 4 till Sophia got done. Partially because she picked a difficult fabric, and partly because they picked at each other. Isadora got her dress cut out.

Then I went to the company house for 40 min to make the bed and clean the kitchen and bathroom. Michele called, so I called her back when I got home and we talked about how to make her dress pattern bigger. Then I made supper and read as I ate.

At 7, I went to the chapel for Project Night. Mery was waiting for me. I unlocked the door and she brought her stuff inside. Then her husband came and Summer came and Jenni came. When not helping someone with their project, I sewed triangles together to make hexagons. Summer finished her project and went home. Jenni took till 8:45 to finish hers. That's when Jerry showed up. The others were working on other things and did not finish, but helped me pack up so we could be out by 9.

We all left together. Mery helped me carry stuff to my car. She put my stuff in my trunk. Jerry showed me a music box he was working on. Then I left. I went home, made tea and we watched one episode. Chris and I made the bed with clean sheets and he laid down. I worked on my blog before I went to bed.

Cleaning the new swap room

Friday

I got up around 8, not having heard the alarm. I got ready for the day. I checked Facebook and my phone for messages. I cut stack-n-whack triangles, then washed up and got dressed for Math Morning. Chris was getting ready at the same time. Then I had to search for the chapel key and had to remember that I wore the lighter coat last night when I picked it up.

I arrived at the chapel at the same time as Saronna. I unlocked the door and went in. Her kids followed me. I set up a sewing machine while they set up their math workbooks. I was resolved not to engage in conversation so they could concentrate, but they still didn't. The littlest one played with toys and the others annoyed each other. M did a page of math and I checked it, calling her over to re-do the ones that were incorrect. Then they packed up and left.

I got some stack-n-whack hexagons sewn, then left the machine set up for tomorrow. I locked the chapel and headed home. Chris was gone. I texted people about having a swap shop meeting next Thursday.

I had about an hour before breakfast, so I took some cleaning supplies and went to the swap shop. Summer was just leaving. I used the new key to open the extra room we now have. Some furniture had been moved in. I started cleaning the sink in the small attached bathroom. I did not clean the toilet because it didn't have water so not to be used. But everything else had years of dust and dead bugs. The floor was my main intent but I didn't get that far. I did the higher flat surfaces first, then the Lunas came in to look at the boxes of glasses. They stayed to talk. By the time they left, it was noon, so I quit and went home for breakfast.

While making breakfast, Chris came back from the office. I ate while reading e-mail, then added a few thing to the grocery list. Chris packed the cooler and we headed to Tooele, listening to the book on CD. I fell asleep.

When I woke up, we were in town. Chris stopped at the dentist and dropped me off before heading out to do the shopping. They gave me forms to fill out, again. Then I got called back for x-rays. I took a packet of vitamin C. She took a pan-x. Then I sat down for bitewings. I asked about #24 and she checked. It did not come out clearly on the film so she took another one. Then the hygienist came and cleaned my teeth. Mostly it was painless, but one tooth hurt and she surmised it was from the gums receding.

The dentist came in to check. He said everything was fine except a crown had broken off and needed replacing. When he heard my front tooth was sensitive to temp, he coated it with Metabond. Then I went to check out. Chris joined me to get a similar appointment. So we will be in there together in August. She said to call for appt for the crown, which will be over $1000. He got an apt for check-up.

We headed to Melanies, then back to base. We stopped at the commissary. I filled out a request for goat milk. We stopped at the post office. Nothing noteworthy. Then we came home and unloaded groceries. I worked on my blog.

I went to the company house to get the laundry started. Then I went to the extra swap shop room to clean. I wiped, I swept and I mopped. Lots of marks would not come off of the floor. I tried to put everything back so that it looked homey, but it didn't.

I came home for supper. I made a salad. I read e-mail. I worked on my blog. I filled a bottle with tea, and took the empty water jug with me to Game Night. I stopped on the way over to start a second load at the company house. Then I went to Michelle's house, but she wasn't home. Her husband let me play the game. I had notes, but they didn't work for some reason. I went through all the possible combinations of 3,4,7 with the gears under the spider chair, but nothing worked. Michelle called in and stayed on the phone playing her game while I played mine.

It was after 11 when I thanked him and left. I stopped by the company house to put the second load in the dryer. Then I went home, shut down the internet and lights, and went to bed.

Talent show

Thursday

I got up around 7:30. I was sore from yesterday. I went through the morning routine. I fertilized the plants and pulled dead stuff from the tower garden. I sat down at my laptop to pick a sewing project. I put on an interview with a monk about doings in the Catholic church.

I went through dozens of potential sewing class projects. I went online and downloaded some more. I cropped over 100 photos and made folders for most of the projects. I selected the knot bag, although that name is given to a bag without a knot in it. Anyway, I got out some fabric and guessed the measurements. I cut and tied a knot, then sewed the ends. It was obviously too small. So I opened the ends and added part of a 2.5 inch strip to both, then resewed it. It was marginally acceptable, so I took pictures of it.

But I noticed it was after noon. I put on The Highwire and made breakfast. I ate while watching. It was mostly about John Beaudoin Sr. examining death records in Massachusetts which revealed fraud in death-reporting and vaccine safety. Chris came home for lunch and stayed for an hour. The hub connected to my computer fell off its stand and I put it back up, not realizing that the cord disconnected from my laptop.

When the show was over, I posted about the sewing class to both Facebook pages. Then I posted about Math Morning tomorrow. I got up to warm up on trombone. When I came back, my screen was black and unresponsive. I discovered the disconnect and plugged it in. I went back to playing trombone and trying to decide which trombone to take to the talent show. In the end, I decided to take the cheaper one just in case kids are running around. I went to see Revonna and pick up a key for an extra room for the swap shop. We talked for awhile, then I went to the swap shop to give the key to Jenni. We opened the door and moved some furniture in. But the floor was dirty so I made a mental note to mop it sometime.

Finally I had to go home and change into black and white. I played my trombone one last time, then took it, the music, trombone stand and stand light to the community club.

When I got there, I went to the table where Keli and Saronna were. We chatted a bit and then I walked over to Camille and talked with her until the program started. Then I unpacked my trombone and set it on its stand.

Marah sang first, kareoke style. Then Saronna read a Dr. Seuss book about a fox with socks. Then Charity sang. Afterward, Dylan played the marimba. Jenni said a short poem. Then Keli, Saronna and I played the Hallujah Chorus. Keli stayed to play Colors of the Wind, and a lady I never met sang a song.

That was the end of the talent show. Judges made their selection and prizes were handed out. We got a participation prize of a 10% off coupon. I helped Chris carry the electric piano to the side door. I packed up my trombone and stand. A girl packed up the light. I sat and talked to others at my table while Kareoke night commenced. Some were good, the kids – not so much. Eventually a guy sang a song with unintelligible words.

As Chris and I were walking out, we saw Casey. He said Cedric was going to sing a song. I was tempted to stay, but wanted supper. So we went home. Chris helped me carry my stuff in the house, then I drove to Keli's RV to get the chapel key back for tomorrow.

I changed my clothes and ate the last two pomegranates. I read e-mail and Telegram messages. I worked on my blog. I checked Facebook for responses to my class posts. I made tea and we watched two episodes of season 2. Chris went to bed and I stayed up.

Getting the whites white

Wednesday

I got up at almost 8. I prepared for coffee morning. I did my exercises. I swished with Xylitol because one of my teeth was suddenly temperature sensitive. I put on the CD line-up. After meditating and tapping, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. Chris came home for lunch. I vacuumed and mopped. I took a shower and he had left when I got out.

I took a shirt from his closet and put it (and other whites) in a tub of hot water with Oxyclean, etc. because I was horrified with how dingy his shirt was at lunchtime. Then I went to the gym and worked out with Michelle. We lifted weights and did racquetball.

I was tired when I got home at 3:30. Jenni texted me about the chaplain's promotion ceremony. But I needed to sit. I read e-mail, trying to catch up. I opened a coconut, drank the water and ate the meat.

I was reading Telegram messages when Chris came home. He changed his clothes and we went to the Community Club for the Neighborhood meeting. I talked to people here and there until the meeting started. We discussed the swap shop. I had asked someone to spearhead the clothing, but the colonel's wife kinda took it over. We also talked about game nights, etc.

Then I talked to Revonna and Jenni for awhile. Chris came over to get me when his conversations were over. We headed out with Jenni. She offered to do a craft when I miss the first sewing day in February.

I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched Justice League, since we didn't get the next season of Stargate Atlantis today. Afterward, he went to bed. I stayed up to read.

Severe intellectual disability at the FAA?

Tuesday

I got up at 7:45, and got ready for the day. I read some e-mail, then at 10, I signed into Zoom. It made me wait for updates. But when it was ready, neither the camera nor the microphone worked. I left the meeting and signed back in. I changed the microphone, but could do nothing about the camera. The guy I was to tap with, seemed ok with not being able to see me. We did a 1 hour tapping session, ending at 11.

I read e-mail for an hour and made breakfast. Chris came home briefly. At 2, I went to Saronna's house. We played through the songs and made some decisions. She had kids at home, and headed to the school for the others, so I went to gym.

When I got there, Michelle and Brittany were talking about a lady who bilked the Army for 100M$. They were so happy she got caught. Then Michelle and I walked the track for 45 minutes.

I was home by 4. I read and snacked. I looked up Myst IV hints for the next part of the quest. At 5 I signed into Zoom for our quilt guild meeting. The camera still wasn't active, but I could see them (and their quilts!).

I ate supper, then went to the chapel. Keli had the lights already on. Saronna was there, too. We practiced at chapel, played through several tunes and settled on the Hallelujah Chorus.

I came home after 8. I made tea, and worked on my blog. We watched TV. He went to bed and I stayed up to finish my blog post and do some reading.

Undecorating the sanctuary

Monday

I got up after 7:30. Chris was already up. I took supplements, etc. I read e-mail for awhile. I watered the tower garden.

Then I got dressed and went to the chapel. I opened it for John. We started taking the Christmas tree down. Michelle came to help us. We also took down the wreaths and garlands and other decorations. I thought it would take two hours but we were done by 11. However, we sat and talked for over an hour. Then I got up and they followed me out.

I went home to make breakfast. I read e-mail and articles while eating. I ate two pomegranates and a banana in addition to breakfast. Chris put a beef heart in the oven.

When I got tired of being online, I went through my music for tonight. I reprinted some pages and they printed better this time. I added a few notes or a staff line where needed. Then I paperclipped each set of song sheets to keep the songs separated.

I went back to reading articles and Telegram messages. I worked on my blog. I took some notes for Myst IV because Michelle invited me to have another game night tonight.

At 7 I met Keli at the chapel. Saronna couldn't make it because she had a sick kid. So Keli and I played through the songs and knocked a few off the list. I left Keli the key so she can come in and practice tomorrow.

It was after 8 when I got home. I made tea and we watched two episodes of Stargate Atlantis. Then he went to bed and I stayed up to read.

Found it!

Sunday

I got up late. I did the usual first things. I wore the Kaatsu bands while rearranging fabric in fabric closet. I finally found the black and white fabric in the sewing room. (That reminded me of the Bible story of the woman who lost a coin.) I sewed Chris' pants and glued what I couldn't sew. I cut six strips from the black and white fabric and pinned them precisely together for stack-n-whack.

I made breakfast, and breakfast mix for the week. After eating, I got dressed for church. I took cookies and my trombone to the chapel. I chatted with the chaplain. Then he started the service. We sang a praise song and Amazing Grace.

After a prayer, he turned it over to Pastor Chris. Chris talked about chapter 12 and 13 of the book of Revelation. He said the pregnant woman represented the nation of Israel. Then I played two hymns and the service was over.

John and I talked for some time. The chaplain asked if anyone wanted to help take down the Christmas decorations next week. Then he left to go to Ditto. As John and I walked out, we agreed to come back tomorrow and pull down the decorations. I noticed that the cookies were untouched. I offered some to John and took the rest home.

I changed clothes, then ate 2 pomegranates. I read e-mail and watched Telegram videos. John sent out a message saying the family game was canceled again because he wasn't feeling well. Chris fixed beef and rice for me. I kept reading and piecing on-line puzzles.

I worked on my blog, then made tea. I played through some sheet music for tomorrow. We watched two episodes, then he went to bed. I stayed up to read, then I went to bed.

Duvet covers finally get washed

Saturday

It was after 8 when I got up. After the usual morning stuff, I checked Facebook. Then I went to the company house. None of the beds were stripped, and looked like I had left them. However, there were two sets of footprints leading through the snow to the front door. I decided to wash the bathroom floor mats and then the duvet covers.

I came home. I looked at Myst IV hints to figure out what to do next time. The video showed moving a certain toggle which would not move for me. Sigh.

I went back to change laundry and put the duvet covers in the washer. When I got back, Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. While he took a shower, I made up a week's worth of supplements. Then I took my shower, and made breakfast.

After eating, I went back to the company house to move the duvet covers to the dryer as soon as they were done spinning. I dusted the ceiling fans while I waited. When the dryer was going, I went home.

I ate two pomegranates and a banana. I watched videos on replacing duvet covers. I watched some on fixing zippers. I looked at some Telegram videos, then printed out sheet music, but the print got light that I quit.

I went to the company house one last time. I replaced duvet covers, which took a lot longer than the videos indicated. I mopped myself out of the house. When I got home, I watered tower garden with banana water.

I jotted notes for my blog and realized I didn't post yesterday. So I posted. Chris and I went to the swap shop to see about putting up a shelf. We got in an argument. When we got back, I helped Chris fold laundry. I called Michele to provide more info on an incident that Chris brought up from the past. She didn't remember much about the incident. She and I talked about sewing stuff for some time. She wants to recreated an antique dress that's in a book she got for Christmas.

I ate a slice of pizza, and made a salad. I worked on my blog post for yesterday and posted it. I made tea and we watched TV. Afterward, Chris went to bed, and I stayed up to catch up on e-mail.

Pizza and oatmeal cookies

Friday

I got up at 8:15. I went through the morning routine, but did not water the tower garden. I got dressed and went to Math Morning. I got out a bag of fabric from the storage room and looked through it for the black and white print. It was not there, but there was a bag of buttons and it had two that might go with Chris' blazer. So I kept them out. Then I started ironing some fabric that got wrinkled.

The Clarks came with their 4 kids. Three of them had math of some sort. Casey came, too. The adults started conversing and I think it distracted the kids. Randy ironed for me while I helped Sophia.

It was after 10 when we packed up and left. I went home. Chris said he wanted to go to Tooele early because a storm was coming. So I worked on the grocery list and then we left. We listening to the book on CD all the way. We shopped at Luckeys and I walked to Melanies. She and he and I had a good conversation, not having spoken last week. Then I paid and went out to meet Chris.

He drove to Macey's. We shopped, then I walked to Rue 21 which is going out of business. I bought a top for $5 as it was 70% off. Then we went home and stopped at the commissary for a few more things.

When we got home, we unpacked the groceries. He made lunch and I made breakfast. I read e-mail for some time after eating. He had requested a pizza shell, so I mixed up some yeast in water and waited for it to bloom. But the water was too cold, so I set the dish on top of my tea pot and let it heat up. I got the bread machine started.

Then I used two brown bananas to make banana oatmeal cookies. I threw in some walnuts and cranberries. I rolled out the pizza dough on the pizza stone. He put on the toppings and slid it in the oven. The cookies baked at the same time, although it took two batches to use all the batter. He ate a slice of pizza and so did I. The crust was perfect. Then I got tired of sitting at my laptop. I went through my solid fabrics and organized them. Then I worked on my blog in preparation for game night.

When I got to Michelle's house, I realized I had forgotten the bottle of tea I had prepared. I gave her cheese squares and two cookies. She ate them, and then made me some tea with chamomile essential oil. I played the game, figuring out on my own everything that I had hints for. When I finally ran into trouble, I had no hints for that.

It was a little after 11 when I saved the game at a decision point. But we kept talking until 11:45 and then I went home.

Pi = pretty interesting

Thursday

I woke up in the middle of the night thinking about Pi and how it is non-repeating and non-terminating. That means every combination of numbers is somewhere in the digit sequence. Like my phone number, cc number, SSN, bank account, etc. I wondered how far in the sequence I would have to go to find my phone number. I wonder if the person with the first 10 numbers realizes it. Area code 141? Or 314?

I got up at 8, Chris was home because the base is closed due to snow. I took supplements and turned the tower garden. Joanns had a sale on rolling totes, finally bringing the price to within my range. So I ordered one plus some yarn. I like crocheting in front of the TV. Chris unravels the yarn for me so I don't have to stop every so often to pull some out.

I put on the Kaatsu bands and wore them while I practiced trombone and worked on transcribing some musical phrases for the song.

I put on The Highwire and made breakfast. I listened as I ate. He interviewed the author of The Indoctrinated Mind. He explained how the hippocampus works and how the non-stop narrative of fear in the news affects it, especially if the person listens to the news just before they go to bed.

I downloaded sheet music to a thumb drive, then met Jenni at the swap shop. We talked about putting out winter clothing and giving summer clothing to the thrift shop in town. I gave her the key to the bathroom. I took a pic of some chairs. I went home and posted them on the community pages. Then I took stuff into the garage to fill the TV box.

I heard the doorbell. It was Jamie and she was so excited about her trip tomorrow. I gave her her share of the cleaning money. Chris came back from wherever he had gone. She and I talked on the porch for some time, and then she hugged me and left.

Chris was fixing supper. I jotted notes for my blog. Saronna called me back. I ate supper and made a salad using the last of the greens. I read e-mail, and watched a video on the problems with the covid shot, including using it during a pandemic. That produces vaccine-resistant strains.

I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched TV. Chris unraveled the yarn as I crocheted. After the show, he went to bed. I stayed up later as usual, but forgot to take the evening doses and did not sleep well.

Pineapple peel tea

Wednesday

I got up before 8. I prepared for coffee morning. I put on the CD player and it was still mostly Christmas music. Afterward, I watered the tower garden and fertilized plants. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen and washed dishes.

I took a shower and went to yoga. The chaplain and his wife came like last week. There was still a lot of talking and class started late. Then there was a lot of talking afterward, so I didn't leave until 3:30. At least I got packages from the post office.

I texted Michelle about working out and got those texts confused with ones from Tiffany who wanted to go to the swap shop. But she changed her mind when she saw how heavily it was snowing. I opened a coconut and drank the juice.

I went to the gym and started my workout while waiting for Michelle. But she didn't show up so I finished my workout and headed out. I met a man who works for Dzyne and spoke to him for a bit, then I went home.

I ate the insides of the coconut. I put on a podcast. I looked at the mail. I worked on my blog. I listened to an interview with an astrophysicist on climate change. He says the sun explains the climate changes, not co2. Hot gas behavior from the sun is responsible for each year having a different temp range. CO2 is known as the gas of life.

I read e-mail, then made tea by boiling pineapple peels. I listened to Chris talk in a weather meeting. They decided to close the base tomorrow. We watched two episodes of Stargate while I crocheted and Chris unraveled the yarn for me.

Afterward, he went to bed and I stayed up to read.

Auditioning music

Tuesday

I got up after 7:30. I followed the morning protocol. I opened an envelop from USAA who had sent me a cc with contactless technology. No way! I called USAA and they said all their cards are that way now. She did not know how to disable it or turn it off. After the call, I looked up how to disable the feature. Apparently there is an antenna loop inside the card and if you slice through it, the chip cannot be activated without contact with a card reader. They said VISA is pushing this tech, and people have had money debited from cards other than the one they intended to use.

I read e-mail for awhile, then went to 91B for inspection. I did some sweeping in the back room till Housing showed up. She looked around while I told her what needed fixing. Then we signed the papers and I went to the Housing office to turn in the key.

I was going to drop off some money for Jamie, but just then I got a text from the swap shop. I drove over there to discuss the issue of too much clothing and not enough time to go through it all. Shannon showed up too. We discussed it with Christina who was minding the shop. She wanted training as well.

After the discussion, I went to pick up the mail. Terry was there and he said he would ask his wife about sorting clothing. We discussed other things and I went home.

I made and ate breakfast while reading e-mail. There was no music practice because Saronna is still out of town. I took a jar of trail mix to the Hendersons. Then I settled cleaning accts, making sure all the info was saved.

I went to pick up two books of music from Keli. I went through them at the piano, looking for a replacement piece for "It don't mean a thing". It got dark. Chris came home early because snow was expected so the base let out early.

I ate most of the leftover beef. I kept listening to excerpts of duets on a sheetmusic site that are available for download. I worked on my blog, and made tea. We watched two episodes of SG Atl. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to look for more duet music. I finalized an order for 10 pieces and went to bed.

Time for the project materials to go back

Monday

I stayed in bed until 8:30 because I had trouble sleeping. The tune played over and over in my mind until I wanted to scream.

After getting up and doing the usual, I watered the tower garden with a diluted banana feed. Then I turned on my phone and checked messages.

I got dressed and went to the library. I delivered the snowflake stamp for their project tomorrow. Then we discussed all sorts of other things. It was after 11 when I left. I went to Housing to schedule an inspection for 91B.

I made and ate breakfast. I unlocked the swap shop at 1 by request and got the mail. I listened to the CD that goes with the song we picked. I got some staff paper and tried to write parts to fill in the missing spots. At 3, a group of people came by to check fire alarms and appliances and such. One of them re-caulked the bathtub.

I spent the afternoon sorting through my sewing room and various project bags to put everything back where it came from and to find the black and white fabric that I was using as a stack-n-whack sample project. But I never did find it.

All of a sudden it was 6:20. I went to the chapel and turned on the lights. Keli came with her music and some blankets to cut up. We went into the fellowship hall and cut two blankets into 4 pieces and sewed up the edges. Then we started practicing in the chapel. But she hadn't heard the CD so we looked around for a CD player. There was a TV in the kid's room for DVD;s but it would play the CD. However, getting to the right track was tricky. After she heard it, we went back to play it. But without drums, trumpet and sax, the empty spots were too noticeable. She said she had a book at home that would have songs with all the parts. So we packed up and left.

I went home and ate some leftover beef. I also ate seed crackers with avocado dip. Then I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched two episodes of Stargate Atlantis. Chris went to bed afterward and I stayed up to listen to a podcast.

"It don't mean a thing" - or maybe it does

Sunday

I got up around 8:30, not having slept well. It had snowed overnight and was still snowing. The chaplain called Chris to ask if it was appropriate to cancel church.

I made a container of breakfast mix for the week. I read e-mail for awhile. Then I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed in pants and boots because of the snow.

I drove to the chapel and talked to the chaplain until people arrived. Then we sang and had the service. I played the hymn I had picked and one that the chaplain had picked. He said a prayer and it was over. I talked to John M. who will soon be a dad. After a long chat, it was almost 3 till we left.

I went home and changed clothes. I read e-mail and texted Michelle to bring Isadora over to pick out a pattern. Chris ran the dishwasher. Later she and Isadora came over to choose a pattern. They left by 5 so Chris and I could play the family DandD game, but John canceled because he had a migraine.

I soaked a new shower filter and Chris changed it out for the old one. I listened to part of the healing genesis series. I got bored and decided to work on my sewing room. I went through my class materials bag. I sorted some of the stuff on the top of my sewing table.

I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of Stargate Atlantis. I practiced “It don't mean a thing”, then went to my laptop to listen to other versions of it, wishing I had a score and wondering if we need a singer. Chris was asleep when I went to bed and the tune haunted me all night.

New: afternoon AND evening sewing class

Saturday

I got up around 8:40. I went through the morning rituals. I got dressed and went to the company house to get the laundry started. I put clean sheets on the one bed that had been slept in, and went home.

I talked to Chris about the clothing problem at the swap shop. He said to do all options. He suggested people I could ask to be the coordinator, but I hate asking people to do something I wouldn't want to do.

After checking messages, I went back to the company house to throw the sheets in the dryer. When I got back, Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. Then we both took showers. I got dressed and made breakfast. As I ate, I looked at videos explaining the parts of the new world of Myst that I had been through, right up to the garden.

Chris moved my sewing machine to my trunk. I got the fabric and class sample in the back seat. I changed my shoes, then went to the chapel. Chris helped me carry stuff inside, then he left. I realized I needed a longer cutting mat, so I went home and grabbed one and came back.

I set up two machines and two ironing stations and two cutting stations. Then I sat at one machine to work on some stack-n-whack blocks. Isadora came in with Electra. I got her started on a carrying strap. Then Jessa, the yoga instructor, arrived. She came more to find people interested in yoga than to make a strap, although I think she did cut a piece of fabric. Lastly, Jenni came, with two pairs of pants to hem.

Jenni spent so much time talking that she only got one pair of pants hemmed. Then, with 25 minutes left, she started on the carrying strap. Isadora told her how to do it. But I caught her laying the fabric on the ruler and cutting into it. Sigh. I laid the fabric on the mat and cut it myself. Then she worked on ironing it in half lengthwise. I worked on the stack-n-whack hexagons.

At 4:10, I called time because I still had to clean a house. Jenni left her stuff there, promising to come back to the evening class to finish. I left all the class stuff there for the same reason.

I went home to get my bucket of cleaning supplies, then to the company house. I emptied the dryer, cleaned the bathroom and kitchen, and spot-mopped the floor. Then I went to 91b to check the water lines. I took the last of my cleaning stuff out and mopped my way to the front door.

It was after 5 till I got home. I helped Chris fold laundry. I jotted down my cleaning times. I made notes for my blog. I ate supper and read e-mail. I made tea and we watched two episodes of Stargate Atlantis. Then he went to bed and I stayed up a little later.

A swap shop without clothing?

Friday

I got up around 8. It was snowing. Chris had been gone for hours, gaming at the ACS center. I did the morning protocol and turned the tower garden 90 degrees. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. Chris came back from gaming and said it went well.

I listened to a podcast which ended at 8:55, at which point I suddenly remembered I was supposed to be at the chapel for Math Morning at 9. So I sprayed my windshield with alcohol, then grabbed my pile of newly washed fabric and an iron. I drove to the chapel. I saw Summer walk by with her kids. She was going to mind the swap shop from 9 to 12.

I unlocked the chapel and set up an ironing station in the fellowship hall. I figured no one was coming and I was right. I got my entire pile of fabric ironed and ready to be filed by color in my stash. I also got texts from the swap shop minders about too much clothing and should we stop accepting clothes. I voted for advertising for someone with time and interest in sorting the items and hanging them. She suggested a group event to catch up.

When I got home, I put the fabric in my sewing room. I parsed out a week's worth of supplements. At noon, I started breakfast. Chris came back from the office. I ate and read e-mail. Chris took a shower. When my video ended, we went to the commissary for food. It was snowing and he did not want to risk going to Tooele.

When we got back, he put the food away. I took pics of game hints for tonight. I read e-mail for a while, then quit. I re-dressed my coathanger christmas trees and sewed yellow felt stars for the tops. I made a project sample – a yoga mat carrying strap. I emptied some of my project bags. I worked on the rug project, although I don't know why. Don't really need another rug. It was just a sample to get others started.

Chris came back to tell me that supper was ready. So I put it down and went to the kitchen where he had beef, mushrooms, and rice. I helped my self to that, then made a salad. I watched some video clips, then worked on my blog. I filled a bottle with tea and took the 8pm supplements. I grabbed the water container and some seed crackers and went to game night.

When I got there, Casey was watching a movie with Isodora. He paused it and called up Myst IV. I loaded the last game. Michelle came out and sent Isodora to bed. As I played, we talked about the swap shop needing help with clothing and she suggested it could be a service project.

The game went well. I 'lnked' to a new world. I figured most things out on my own, but got stuck on a control panel where nothing I clicked on or tried to move had any effect. I read through my hints, but none of them were for that panel.

Casey filled the water container and took it out to my car. I shut down the game. I remembered the vial of black pepper oil and handed it to Michelle but she had already gotten one in the mail. She invited me to try a dose of the anti-inflammatory essential oil recipe that she had and I agreed. She put drops of 6 oils in a glass and added water. I swirled it and drank it down. Woah!

After more conversation, I headed home. I carried the water bottle inside and stirred it. I turned off the router and all the lights. Then I went through the bedtime rituals and joined Chris in bed. I had a hard time getting to sleep and wondered if it was the oils.

It's Stargate Atlantis for the forseeable future

Thursday

I had a hard to getting to sleep so I let myself sleep in, from alarm to alarm. I got up at 8. It seems Chris went in at the usual time even though post was slated to open 2 hours late because of snow. I could see that it had snowed overnight, but it wasn't even covering the ground.

I followed the morning protocol and watered the plants. I downloaded pics from my phone. I cleaned up water which somehow came from the tower garden. I went to 91b for 30m, then to Jessica's house for inspection. They passed it easily. So I went back to 91b for an hour, mostly mopping. I brought home much of the cleaning stuff.

I started listening to The Highwire while I made and ate breakfast. Chris came home for lunch and I had to put it on headphones. But after he left, I went back to headphone-free listening.

When The Highwire was over, I worked on cropping pics. I posted to Facebook for sewing classes on Saturday, then went to the Swap Shop to meet Jenni. However, she wasn't there. So I opened it and let people in until she arrived. I looked for a wool sweater to unravel, but there were no sweaters.

I went home to add pics to the Swap Shop announcement that Jenni had posted. Then I stayed to crop pics and read e-mail. Finally Chris came home with a pizza. He also pulled a roast out of the oven. I ate some beef and made a salad.

I read e-mail and unsubscribed from a bunch of things. That's my January resolution. I cut up turmeric which made my hands yellow. I made another hanging pocket for my computer table. It balances the other one so that that one doesn't fall off if I pick up my laptop.

I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched the first episode of Stargate Atlantis, which Chris must have gotten from the library when he returned Psych. He said they don't have season 8. I crocheted as we watched, hoping I wasn't dropping stitches like before.

Afterward, Chris went to bed and I stayed up to practice, make pickling brine and read.

Yoga

Wednesday

I got up around 7:30. I checked Facebook. I prepared for coffee morning. I still had the Christmas line-up on the CD player so I listened to that. I put half of my newly-acquired fabric in the washer. I read for half an hour, then did my meditation and tapping. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and hit the kitchen.

As usual, Chris came home for lunch while I was washing dishes and counter tops. He put the second half of the fabric in the washer. But he then went back to work, leaving me to finish up and mop the floor. Mopping was hard because the handle was too short. But I found a handle in the garage which fit right over the old one. So much better!

I vacuumed the carpets and got dressed. I went to the yoga class announced yesterday for today at 1:30. It got a late start because two people came late. I told the leader that I was going to do a class on making a strap to carry a mat on Saturday. Then the class commenced. Afterward, we stood around talking to each other (chaplain and wife), before leaving around 3:30.

When I got home, I called Jamie and she said she would finish Jessica's house tonight. I put fabric in the dryer. I texted Michelle about walking. She accepted so I texted Jenni. Then I went to the gym to meet Michelle. We walked the track and talked. Jenni texted that she couldn't make it.

Around 5:30, we stopped walking. We went home. It was getting dark. I punched holes in a young coconut and drank the water. Jenni called. As we talked, I tried to open the coconut. Chris came home. He got out his pocketknife and cut a hole in it. He also cut his finger, but said it wasn't bad. He made himself supper while I read e-mail.

I messaged with Kurt, wondering if he felt the quake in Maryland. But he said no. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched the last two episodes of Psych. I was crocheting as we watched, then afterward compared the last row of stitches to the first and discovered that it was shrinking. So I pulled out most of it and resoved not to crochet without glasses.

Chris went to bed, and I stayed up to a little later. I practiced trombone, then I took a shower and joined him in bed.

More cleaning

Tuesday

I got up after Chris went to work. I followed the morning protocol. I watered and fertilized the plants and rotated the tower garden. I read e-mail. I listened to a second tapping presentation.

At 10 I went to 91B and cleaned for two hours, mostly windows and sweeping. Then I went home for lunch. Chris was already home. I made and ate breakfast. I listened to the Capitol Report.

At 2 I went to Saronna's house. The kids do not have school this week so they were home. She got out her bass and showed me the new bow her husband bought her for Christmas. It is better ergonomically. Then we played the swing tune, with and without the CD's that came with each book. Apparently her CD has all the parts except the string bass, and my CD has all the parts except the trombone. But the CD's themselves are not marked. We talked about the talent show and their upcoming trip.

Afterward, I went to the library to get the next book on CD. Keli gave me back the rocks I lent for the caves. And the fake vine. We also talked about the talent show. Then I went to Housing to set up an inspection for Jessica's house on Thursday.

I proceeded to Revonna's house and cleaned for another two hours. This time I concentrated on the bathrooms and mopping floors. But I didn't finish.

When I got home, it was dark. Chris was eating supper. I heated the rest of the ground beef in the toaster oven. I washed some carrots and celery and ate that. I read e-mail for awhile then worked on my blog.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of Psych. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to listen to some paraliminals.

New year, same old cleaning

Monday

I got up at 8. I followed the morning protocol including rotation of the tower garden. I looked through my Myst IV links to find out what I was missing last night. It turns out I didn't pull back on the handle for the linking chamber. So next game night, I am ready to start exploring a new world.

I read e-mail and checked Facebook. I was disheartened to see that all the end of year sales are still going. So many sales e-mails. Sigh. After reading, I took a break to cut off the sweet potato vines and remove them from the area. Chris said they were infested.

I made and ate breakfast. Then I went to Jessica's house. I packed up a set of glasses that she had left inadvertently. I called Jamie and we discussed how it was dirtier than we were led to believe. I did some cleaning and put the stove grills in the dishwasher.

I went home and got a text from Revonna. I went over to her house to clean. Sadly I forgot my phone. It looked like she had taken the innards out of the fridge and washed them. I wiped out the inside and put everything back in. I scrubbed the floor behind it.

I also worked on the stove, scrubbing the inside and trying to pull it forward so I could clean the outside. I cleaned some windows and sills. After 2 hours, I went home.

Chris was making his supper so I made mine: ground beef and rice. I also ate celery and carrots, planting the sprouting tops. I read e-mail until 8. Then I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of Psych. Afterwards he went to bed and I stayed up to listen to a tapping presentation.

A Myst-y NYE

Sunday

I got up around 8. I went through the morning routine. I mixed up a batch of cheese squares and put them in the oven. Then I mixed up a batch of seed crackers. When the cheese squares came out, I put the seed crackers in for an hour at 275.

Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. We cuddled for awhile. Then he took his shower and I took mine. I read e-mail until noon, then made and ate breakfast. I got ready for church and warmed up on my trombone. I picked two hymns.

I went to the chapel with my trombone, cheese squares, and a tea ball for Jenni. I met the airfield manager and his family going in. I got my trombone put together, then placed the snack on the back table.

Michelle and Jenni came in. I gave Jenni the tea ball, and chatted with both of them. Then Pastor Chris came and we sat for the service. He spoke for a bit, then we stood to sing two praise songs. I don't think anyone knew the first one.

Pastor Chris waxed eloquent on the book of Revelation during the time of tribulation. In fact, he went past 2. Then he ended with a prayer. I had to suggest a closing hymn. I played my trombone and people sang What Child is This? Then I chatted with Jenni. But I couldn't stay long so I went back to collect the remaining snack and went home.

I quickly changed my clothes and headed to Janica's house for a quote. Jamie didn't show up. As I noted things that needed cleaning, she said they were going to clean that. I decided that they were not ready for a quote and should call me back when their cleaning was finished. We chatted for a bit and I left.

I read e-mail and ate pomegranates for hours. I sat with Chris and we made plane reservations to Costa Rica. I made a salad for supper. I put pickle juice and vinegar on the slaw from last night. I washed her container and left it to dry. I had a nice long chat with Tonja who was on her way to a party. I posted to my blog.

I poured a bottle of tea and got the other things. I drove to Michelle's house. Her kids went to the Clark's for the evening. I gave Michelle her container and some fresh cheese squares. Casey called the game up on the TV. Then we all chatted as I played the game. I solved the puzzles to going to two new places, but there was nothing to do once I got there. So around 10:30, I shut down the game and bid them goodbye.

On the way home, I stopped by the chapel and turned off the Christmas tree. Then I went home. Chris was already in bed, reading. I turned off the lights on the tower garden and got ready for sleep.
