Oil change

Sunday

I got up hearing the 8:30 alarm. I brushed my teeth, then went out to water the plants and level gopher mounds with the hose. A gopher came up and it did not end well for him (or her?). An hour later, I turned off the water.

I made fiber gel, and read e-mail. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I grabbed the cheese squares and Chris took the trombone. We went to the chapel. I left the cheese on the back table. I went up front where Chris was speaking to the supply chaplain and he introduced me. We conversed a bit, then I assembled my trombone. The chaplain asked me if we could play Trust and Obey. I said we could if it was in the hymn book. Chris found it and I asked Saronna if it was ok with her. She said she'd look it over during the sermon.

Cpl Popken and his wife sang three praise songs along with the video. I didn't know any of them. Then the chaplain gave the message, including the backstory to Trust and Obey. So afterward, the band went up. I put Trust and Obey as our first hymn. And we did the other two.

After the service, I chatted with Rick and others. Saronna had brought a jello fluff dish and cups and spoons. I only ate cheese squares. Jenni invited me to go walking with her later. But later never came.

When we got home, I was going to text John but he called Chris, saying he would come over to help me level up my character. I went in the back yard for my 15 minutes of grounded sunshine. Then I came in and soon John showed up.

Just then I got a text from Charity saying I could bring my car over for an oil change. She lives by John so he followed me there. John gave me the filter he picked up when he was in town on Saturday. I left her with the car and the oil and the filter. John drove us back to my house. We worked on my character.

Then he took me back to his house. Charity had sent me link to pay by Venmo so I gave John cash and asked him to pay her. My car was sitting with the keys in it so I got in and drove home. I had seen that John's yard needed mowing, so I texted Jamie.

It was 5. Chris had cooked cauliflower and mushrooms. I ate supper as the game got started. We were fighting giants. Michele said someone was mowing their lawn. We found the giant's treasure and took it. I said we needed to sleep and get our spells renewed, but they all said no because it wasn't safe until we killed all the giants. After the game, I unboxed some supplements and looked up what they're for. I added them to the supplement box. I went out to water, but the sprinklers came on. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then we read a section of the devotional book. Chris told me all about the army way of doing things (basicaly why we had to fight the giants and not rest till they were all vanquished), and went to bed. I stayed up to work on my blog.

No weedwhacking the flower beds

Saturday

I got up around 8:30. I brushed my teeth and checked messages. I went out to water the plants. I listened to an interview.

I asked Chris for a massage. After the massage, he took his shower and I took mine. I ate fiber gel, made more breakfast mix, then made and ate breakfast. I sat outside and read for 15- 20 minutes.

I put soil mix in a small seed tray and watered it. I dumped old potting soil in the compost to mix with all the watermelon rind. I opened another supplement box from the post office. I walked to Yorks to pull out the lawn chair for Steve, then to the post office to get the mail.

I ate fiber gel and read some more. I looked at towel-to-bag sewing videos. I heated some beef and made salad. The colonel came by with some extra craft paints. I sprinkled coffee grounds on the grass, particularly where the gopher mounds were. Jamie came to mow the back yard. I went to the garden to check the sprinkler system and throw some old seeds in the ground.

When I got back, I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire. Jamie called to say she weed-whacked my flower bed. I said there were potatoes growing in it. She was sorry and said I should tell her which plants not to kill.

Chris and I read a section of the devotional book. We dressed the bed. We discussed the use of the devotional book. Then we retired to our laptops. Waterfox went blank. I used Task Manager to end it. Later he went to bed and I followed.

Gaming all alone

Friday

I got up around 8. I watered the plants outside. I took supplements. I finished watching The Highwire. I made more supplements for the week. I recorded community hours for yesterday. I got a text that the tests I wanted from the blood draw would cost $3000 if insurance didn't cover them. I tried find out what lab tests insurance would cover. They put me on hold. I took the call-back option.

I made and ate breakfast. Then we went to the Commissary. When we put that food away, we went to Tooele. We shopped at Luckeys. I walked to Melanie's and while I was there, Chris went to the auto parts store and bought 5 quarts of oil. But no filter. We shopped at Macey's, then went home.

I made egg salad with avocado dip. I pursued my investigation of insurance and lab tests. I cut up a watermelon. I froze the fruit and cut up the rind for compost. I read e-mail and articles.

I wrote to my blog, then ate some supper. I froze some sour milk in half cup portions for my fertilizer recipe. Then I prepared for Game Night. John wasn't feeling well. So I asked Jamie, but she was busy mowing my yard. I took a bottle of tea and went over. I let myself in. I greeted the cat. Then I puzzled through turning everything on and getting the game loaded. I played Kings Quest V. When I got stuck, I texted Michelle. Then she called. We talked, but then she had to go to bed. I stayed till 11, then shut everything down and put it back where I got it.

When I got home, Chris was still up. I turned off my phone, took supplements and got ready for bed. Later he joined me.

Dugway Days

Thursday

I got up around 7, so Chris must have left early for work. I brushed my teeth and put on something nice. I took supplements. I checked e-mail. At ten, I went to meet a man for a cleaning quote. The apartment was small, but needed some serious cleaning. When Jamie arrived, she looked around. Then we went in the hall to discuss. I thought 400 and she thought 500 so we went back in and told him 500. He agreed.

I watched the ACIP committee meeting. Most speakers spoke in favor of approving all vaccines. But the one who didn't had the most specific data.

I made and ate breakfast. I filled two water bottles. I took the apron in the gift bag to Chris at his office. When I got home, I stood outside till Casey came by. I got in and we picked Jenni. Then we waited at the gate for inspection. No one would tell us why they were inspecting cars leaving the base. However the inspections ceased with the truck in front of us.

We met Michelle in Tooele at a restaurant. We Visited with her and Electra. Then we went to the LabCorp office for a blood draw but they had vacated. Other locations were an hour or more away. Michelle called a nearby hospital, and tried to get an estimate of prices. Casey got his meds. Then we drove back to base.

Casey dropped Jenni off, and then me. I ate fiber gel. I checked e-mail. I ate some supper. I listened to part of The Highwire. I put on my bathing suit and drove to the pavillion.

Dugway Days was in full swing. I found Michele and John by the petting zoo holding rabbits. There was also a pen of goats. I found Chris and he introduced me to someone. Then he and Gary decided to go down the tall water slide (even though Chris was still wearing his suit). He left the contents of his pockets on a bench by me and went off with Gary. They were gone for awhile and I noticed Kenzie and her baby by a bouncy house. So when Michele and John came back from filming Chris on the slide, I let them watch his stuff while I went to talk to Kenzie.

Kenzie is a hortaculturalist so I was eager to ask her questions. She's only here for the summer. We talked about the garden and what we can do. She knows where to apply for funding and get free plants.

Afterward, I talked with Tom and Melissa. Then I jumped in one of the empty bouncy houses. However, after I got out, a bunch of little kids headed over there to play. I looked for Chris. Someone pointed him out and I gave him my keys to watch. I talked to Charity about changing the oil in my car.

Then I talked to the lifeguards about staying in the pool to watch the fireworks. They said if it were only adults they would allow it, but not with kids. I swam for awhile. Then a bunch of adults, including Chris, jumped in the pool fully dressed. Sigh. I swam around some more, then got out. I talked to him, then he headed home to change clothes. I stayed to talk to someone who looked familiar.

Then I went home to change. I passed Chris coming back in shorts and t-shirt. I drank tea and bone broth. I put on dry clothes. I laid down for a bit. Then I headed back out to see the fireworks. I ended up between sets of pylons and the quickest way out was between another set. But of course the police came over and questioned me for doing that. But he didn't take my name or anything.

Chris called to find out where I was. He walked over and sat in my passenger seat. We watched the fireworks. He had ordered 13 minutes worth. It was great and music would have made it even better. Then I drove him back to his car and we both went home.

He stayed up for a little bit while I listened to the replay of The Highwire. Soon he went to bed. I stayed up later, then wrote to my blog and went to bed.

Eggs at the library

Wednesday

I slept in till 8. I got up and prepared for coffee morning. After the usual supplements, exercises and coffee, I meditated and tapped. I incorporated the shoulder exercises in between rounds of tapping.

Then I cleaned both bathrooms. I cleaned the kitchen and washed dishes. I took a shower. I read outside for a bit. A man called about having his dorm room cleaned. I called Jamie to tell her. She said she'd finish the York house this afternoon.

I checked e-mail. Then I went to the York house to get my cleaning stuff out. I found some craft paper in the garage and decided to keep it for classes. I found a few surfaces to wipe, then moved my stuff to the garage. But Jamie did not arrive.

I went to the library to return a book. They said they had a lot of eggs this week, but I didn't need any. I got another book, we chatted, and I went home. I went back to Yorks house to mop the floor and bring my carpet cleaner home.

Chris came home from work, and soon left for Mass. I cleaned the lint out of the shampooer head. I checked e-mail. I walked to the post office and brought home a box of supplements. Chris came home with a pizza. It's a day early but tomorrow is the Dugway Days celebration. He said if I put the denim apron in a gift bag, he would drop it off with the fire station.

I hemmed the edges of the apron strings and put it in a bag. I left it by Chris' work station. I went outside to water all those plants, and some grass. I'm not sure the sprinklers are covering it. I sat down to write my blog. I texted a few people to go get eggs from the library.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then we read another section of the devotional book. Later Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to read more, then went to bed myself.

Making the apron

Tuesday

Chris' alarm woke me at 4:30. But it didn't wake him so I did. I tried to go back to sleep. I don't think I did. I got up after hearing Chris leave for work at 7. I got ready for the day.

I made a point of working in the denim apron. First I digitized the logo and found some applique embroidered letters for BBQ. I imported a B and a Q. I made another copy of the B. Or at least I thought I did. Looked good on the screen. I wrote it to the card and put the card in my machine. However, on the machine it looked strange with extra curlies. First the words were embroidered, no problem. But then the first B only got a outline stitch and the second one only got a satin stitch. The Q got both, as they all should have. So I had to go back and put a satin stitch on the first B and carefully trim the satin stitches on the second B.

I took a break for breakfast. I sat outside and read for 15 minutes. I went to Saronna's house to practice for an hour. When I got back, I made channels for the upper sides of the apron. I hemmed around the rest. I sewed a pocket on the front. I threaded some ribbon through the channels and tried it on. I thought it looked terrible. I sent a pic to Michelle, who thought it was cute. So I ripped the channels off and sewed ties to the top and sides.

Chris came home from work. I had him try it on and he liked it. I thought it didn't hang right so I sprayed it with water and tried to press the edges flat. I ate fiber gel. I handstitched where the seams were too thick for the machine to sew through.

I made and ate supper. I walked to the post office to get the mail. When I got back, I made a salad. I read messages. I watered in the back and set the sprinkler on the shady side. I went to the garden to check the irrigation system. I came home and shut the shady sprinkler off. I worked on my blog. I gave myself 6 hours of community service for the apron. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire - a season ender. Chris read the next section of the devotional book and I answered the questions as best I could. Later he went to bed. I stayed up to read, and then I went to bed.

Band without piano

Monday

I got up around 8. I brushed my teeth and rinsed my sinuses. I didn't make fiber gel because there was some left from yesterday. I made and drank hydrogen water. I tried to finalize some supplement purchases. It involved hours of checking here and there to find the lowest number of places to order from. Finally I ate fiber gel and looked for a good picture to go with “Weapons of mass percussion”. Then I made and ate breakfast. I read outside for awhile. I walked to the post office to get the mail. One package had new batteries for my old watch. So I ripped it open and powered up the watch. It's more comfortable than the one I have been wearing.

I looked up some hymns and wrote the chords on them. I prepared them for tonight. I hardboiled two batches of eggs. John called to see if his new phone was showing the same number. He assured me that Michele's new phone also works.

I prepared the lettering for the BBQ champion apron on my embroidery software. I wanted to add a flame over the 'I' but searched all over my computer and could not find it.

I quit to get ready for band. I ate some of the beef heart from last night. Then I took my music to the chapel. Saronna was outside watching her kids chase a stoat. Then I unlocked the door and we all went in. Keli did not come so we played without the piano. But Caleb came and helped out the percussion section. We played through hymns and Broadway tunes. Then my lip was shot.

While the others left, Janet talked to me about continuing Bible Study. She wants to do it on Friday mornings. She wants snacks, too. I told her I couldn't help with that part.

We turned off the lights and went home. I made a salad and ate while reading e-mail. I went out to water the plants. Everything seems to have survived the wind. I came in to work on my blog and text with Michelle. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. We also read a section of the devotional book and answered the questions at the end. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up till 11. I rubbed DMSO on my wrist again and went to bed.

First round of fertilizer

Sunday

We slept in late. I was having a dream about being in a palatial building. Everywhere I looked, there were pools and hot tubs and showers and washbowls. But not one toilet. Then I woke up.

I got ready for the day. I made more breakfast mix. I processed e-mail for a couple hours, then got dressed and went to the chapel to pick up the dress. I delivered it to the owner and she paid me. Then I went home.

I ate fiber gel. I read messages, I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I took cheese squares to the chapel. My trombone was already there. I gave sheet music to the doctor. It had chords written on it.

The service started and we sang two praise songs. Cpl Popkin gave the message. Then the band played two hymns. My right wrist hurt so much I wasn't sure I could play. Doc joined in the percussion section. I chatted with John and Steve, then took the remaining cheese squares and went home.

After church, I sat outside in my bathing suit and read a book for 20 minutes. Then I went back to e-mail. I made some fertilizer and used it on the plants at home. I took what remained and drove to the garden to use it there. Things are not growing like I had hoped. Then again, they've been whipped by the wind pretty badly.

Michele and John came over for more phone work. They got Michele's phone working but John's still needs something. They went home and Chris finished cooking beef heart for supper. Then we started the game. I finished the bag of frozen watermelon.

After the game, Chris and I took my car to the gas station. Chris put gas in it while I wrote down the numbers in the gas book. When we got back, I mopped watermelon juice from the floor. I worked on my blog and made tea.

We watched one episode of Longmire. I watched it with an ice pack on my wrist. Then we read the next section of the devotional book. Later he went to bed. Even later, I got ready for bed. I rubbed my wrist with DMSO, then laid down.

Flower pounding class

Saturday

I got up around 8. I got ready for the day. I read e-mail and messages. I laid out in the sun and read. It was unusually cool. Maybe because its been so windy lately.

I asked Chris for a massage and he complied. Then I made fiber gel and worked on yesterday's blog. I took a shower. Then made breakfast. He asked me to make bread. I did.

I read e-mail. I looked for a second pestle. I stopped at the post office for mail, then went to the chapel with the bouquet of flowers we bought in town. I cut some of the field roses to add to it. I moved the dress hanging in an hallway to an office. I started ironing the handkerchiefs.

The kids arrived. I instructed them on placing petals in some order, then pounding them or using the pestle to roll the petals over the fabric. They had brought mallets, which didn't work so well. Juice from the petals got on the cutting mats, and then on the floor. Sophia did quite well, but the others looked more haphazard. Even Jedediah did one. All the pounding kind of got to me. Saronna had them clean up. I saved a few petals in case someone came by later.

So we left about 3. I went home with the mail. I tried to finalize some orders. What is this howtopay stuff? I ate some frozen watermelon and got really cold. I went outside to warm up and water the plants. But there wasn't much warmth outside.

Michele came over to get her new phone. She and Chris got it initialized (or whatever) but there was still something the company had to do to complete the transfer. Then she and I headed to the chapel. She had a sewing project with her and I brought some fat quarters to iron. I plugged in the iron. She worked on her project and Sophia came with her quilt project. Sophia had an elongated hexagon template that she was cutting pieces with.

I ironed until 7:15. Then she and I went into the sanctuary for Rhythm Class. No one else came. We practiced for half an hour and went back to the fellowship hall. I finished ironing, then observed her cutting. Michele chatted with us as she handsewed gold trim to a purple silk bodice.

We started packing up at 8:30. Sophia went home. Michele carried my serger to my car. We headed to our respective houses. I was going to stop by the garden but it was unusually cool and very windy.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then we read one section of the devotional book. I put away laundry and we dressed the bed. Then I sat at my laptop to process open windows so I could close them. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up later.

Evil comes in peach

Friday

I got up at 7:30 to find Chris was already up. I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I read e-mail until 9:45. I put her dress in a bag and took it to the chapel. I also took the serger. She met me there for a fitting. Then after she left, I stayed till after noon pinning and trimming and serging the inner satin layer.

I went home for breakfast. I read outside for 15 minutes. Then we went to Tooele for the usual and sprinkler head. When we got back to base, we had to go through a complete car search. They said they were doing everyone. We had to get out and open all the doors, then stand back while they examined everything.

When we got home, I ate fruit and fiber gel. Then I went back to the chapel to trim and serge the chiffon layer. It did not come out well, and it was shorter than I measured it to be. Probably because it was relieved of 9 inches of fabric. I turned the satin hem under and stitched it. Then I ironed both layers and proclaimed it finished. I hung it in the hallway so as not to wrinkle it again. Michele said chiffon was evil. Now I know why.

I went home for supper. I messaged her that the dress was finished. I read e-mail and articles. I made cheese squares, and put a few in a jar for Michelle. I watered the outdoor plants quickly, then made tea and posted to my blog.

I went to Game Night at Casey's house. I read something Michelle wrote, then played Kings Quest V and talked to Casey. When I got stuck, Casey said it was not too late to call Michelle. So I did, but woke her up. She gave me some hints, then we hung up. It was after 11, so I thanked him and went home. I put away the cooled cheese squares and jotted notes for the day. We both went to bed.

Getting started on sewing committments

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. Chris did not go to work because it was Juneteenth. Not sure how to celebrate it. I took supplements. I changed the water that cuttings are rooting in. I put away the dried dishes. I cut up turmeric and ginger root. I parsed out a week's worth of supplements. I pinned up the inner layer of the peach dress.

I ate fiber gel, then sat outside and read for 15 minutes. I came in and made breakfast. I ate while watching The Highwire. Then I spent several hours looking through apron videos and band memes. I found a pair of jeans and cut one leg off. I cut it down the center fold, then I went back to the apron videos but had trouble finding the one I wanted. I tried to iron one part into submission but it just wouldn't lay flat. Then I saw that she said she had to take part of the seam out and resew it.

Michele and John came over for supper. We conversed. Chris collected the dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I took the peelings to the compost pile. I swept out the shed. I moved the folded plastic sheets to the shed. We conversed some more. I took the dehydrated onion tops from the machine and used a pestle, but they would not grind. Michele and John left. I jotted notes for my blog. I ground up the onion bits with my coffee grinder and put the powder in a baggie.

We watched one episode of Longmire and read one section of the devotional book. Later Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to listen to something relaxing before I went to bed.

Tinted eyebrows

Wednesday

I got up after Chris left for work. I cleaned out some space in the kitchen to make room for coffee and supplements. I put the dehydrator on for another run. I did my special exercises. I read for half an hour with the red light. I tapped and meditated. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes, including the new 4 qt measuring cup. I decided I didn't like it because the pour spout was too small, the handle was too short and it didn't measure accurately. Shame on Pyrex. I vacuumed and mopped. I laid out in the yard and read. I took a shower and got dressed.

I had noticed a man hanging around my yard and when I went outside, he asked about the sprinkler system. So I told him what I knew. Then I walked to the post office. I asked the hairdresser for an appointment to get my brows tinted. She told me to come back in half an hour. I went to the front desk to get my mail and talked to the clerk. I walked home, took supplements, and drove back. The hairdresser sat me by another lady who lives on Valdez. We chatted as the hairdresser swabbed my eyebrows with hair tint. She left it on for awhile, then swabbed it off. She said a few hairs didn't take, so she mixed up something else and swabbed again. We all talked for a bit, then she swabbed it off.

When I looked in the mirror, I was horrified. It looked like I was wearing brown eye shadow under heavy brows. She told me to go out where the light was better, but the sun was so bright I couldn't see anything. I smiled, paid her, and went home to hide.

I texted Michelle and sent a selfie. She said it was fine, but I needed to shape my brows. I also texted Jenni, who said I should get comfortable with it because it'll last 6 months. I decided to go clean for an hour to take my mind off of it. Jamie came over before I left to get the key to the chaplain's house so she could get her stuff.

After that, I drove to the York's. I cleaned for over an hour, but only charged an hour to our time. No way can we do this in the 8 hours we bid on. I went home. Chris was already home. I read e-mail and messages.

The lady came late. She brought her dress to be shortened which sadly was chiffon over satin. Yards and yards of chiffon. It had a tiny rolled hem which I don't think I can duplicate. We discussed this and that and picked colors of thread. After she left, I texted Michele to come over. She helped me think through the best way to hem both layers.

Michele stayed to talk to Chris. I went out and watered the outdoor plants, then the indoor plants. Then the sprinklers came on, so I went out to observe and was satisfied. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire and read one section of the 2nd devotional book. Later he went to bed. I stayed up to listen to some sleep music, then I went to bed, too.

Last minute inspection

Tuesday

I woke up while Chris was taking his shower. After he got dressed and left for work, I got up. I started my day with supplements. I turned on my phone and I checked e-mail. I ordered a watch battery. I messaged Jamie on Facebook and her husband got her to call me. She said she would finish up the chaplain's house today and move my stuff to the York's house.

I went to the York's house to clean for 2 hours. I went home for breakfast. I went to Saronna's house to play through the hymns. Then I went by Housing to schedule inspection for the chaplain's house. They said 11 am on Wednesday was the only time they had. I asked if there was anything for this afternoon. So she called the inspectors and scheduled one while I was on the phone with Jamie. Jamie sounded terrible and said she had heat exhaustion.

I went home to get some sole water. I took it to her house and her daughter answered the door. She handed me the remote and I handed her the sole water. I went up the hill to check out the house before the inspectors came. The rock garden needed tending but no one said anything.

After the papers had been signed, and information shared, I went by the post office. The postmaster was closing up, but had some big packages for me. He carried them out to my car. I went home.

There wasn't time to clean. I read e-mail and ate leftover vegetables. I signed into the quilt guild zoom meeting. They had their usual opening, then put us on-line folks in a chat room to do what the in-person folks were doing. We spun a wheel, and whatever number came up, that's the question the four of us discussed. We got through quite a few. I was afraid I would have to leave in the middle because a lady said she was coming over with a dress for me to shorten. But she never showed up. So I got to finish the meeting.

I texted Faye that we got her card. She texted me back and we had a 'conversation'. Then I finished up the egg cheese and spinach casserole. I put the sprinkler head on the east side of the house and set it on full. I went to the garden to check the irrigation system. I did some tweaks. I wanted to water the next plot over, but the water pressure was too low.

When I got home, I picked a bunch of overgrown green onions. I shut off the sprinkler and worked on my blog. I cut up half of the green onion stems. I made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire and read one section of the devotional book. I cut up the other half of the green onion stems. I placed them on trays in the dehydrator and turned it on. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to listen to the sleep music and play Solitaire.

New player for band

Monday

I woke up early, not knowing how late it was. But then Reveille played. So I waited till Chris took his shower and left for work. Then I got up to brush my teeth and start my day with supplements.

I made fiber gel, then sat down to post for band. I had to look for new band memes and it ended up taking hours to find a dozen. Then I pushed myself away from the laptop. I went over to the York's house to clean for 90 minutes.

When I got back, I ate fiber gel and laid out in the grass and read. Then I made and ate breakfast. I looked up videos on how to unplug the bleach dispenser on the washing machine. None were quite like mine. But I'm pretty sure mine is plugged up since the smell of bleach is so strong.

I went up to the chaplain's house to get more of my cleaning supplies. I called Jamie several times but she never answered. I stopped at Housing for more cleaning contracts. I went to the York's house to continue cleaning. I spent two hours on baseboards and the kitchen.

I went home for supper and to read. Chris came home from work. I chose two hymns and went to the chapel for band. Caleb came with his guitar. So we played our two hymns. He looked up the chords on his phone, but somehow they didn't match even though the key was the same. Then he took over the box drum. It has a better name, but I don't remember it. Anyway, he was really good. He played that for Cabaret and When the Saints and some patriotic hymns. It was really good.

The Paint Night people came to pick up their paintings. Later I went into the fellowship hall to turn off the lights and pick up the sample paintings. I moved everything to my car. I went home. I made copies of the hymns and wrote in the chords for Caleb. I had a little help from the internet but I had to transpose. Sometimes the chords aren't obvious. Anyway, that took another hour.

I worked on my blog. I went out to water the plants and the compost. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. We read another section from the devotional book. Then he went to bed. I stayed up longer to read and listen to some sleep music, then got ready and went to bed.

Father's Day

Sunday

I got up late. I brushed my teeth and took supplements in several rounds. I turned on my phone. I read messages on the computer. I got my time lists caught up. I asked Chris for a massage. Afterward, he took his shower and I took mine. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed and gathered cheese squares and music. I went to the chapel.

I put the cheese squares in the back. I went up front to set down my trombone. I went to the fellowship hall to unlock that door in case someone wanted to pick up their art work. I came back to assemble my trombone. Then Keli and Janet had the kids to their Big House song and dance. It was very nice.

Cpl Popken and Keli started the service with praise songs. He gave a wonderful Father's Day message. Then the band played two hymns. After the service, we chatted. I asked about writing a request to have Popken preach until the next chaplain comes.

Eryne arrived to talk about the paintings. We went to the fellowship hall to see them. She said one wasn't quite dry. The paint had kept spreading after the pictures were set down so they looked a little different. No one had come to pick up their painting. We talked about what we could do next time. And we talked about other techniques.

I went home about 3:30. I put on a bathing suit and laid out in the sun as I read. When I came in, I decided that in honor of my father on Father's Day, I would play his accordion. So I got out the most beginner book I could find. I started at page one. But I had trouble with the bass keys. So I had to look them up on the internet. Then I stood in front of the mirror to see if I was doing the right thing. Finally I went back to the book and played the first song. It did not go well. I asked Chris to take a video and it went better that time. I sent the video to Faye and to Kurt.

The other Damours signed into Discord for the game. I ate fiber gel, then signed into the game. Half an hour later, I ate some casserole. Chris put some mushrooms in the toaster oven. When they were done, I added the remaining curry. I deleted old e-mails as we finished the game.

We folded laundry. I went to the gardens to check the timer and turn it down to 30 minutes. I talked to Veronica who was watering her plot with sprinkling cans. I told her she could use the faucet in plot 8. I went home to water my potted plants. The sprinklers were on but not covering the yard. Chris was asleep on the bed.

I made tea and worked on my blog. I listened to a sleep audio while playing Solitaire. Then I got ready for bed. Chris was still sleeping in the unmade bed, so I joined him there.

Cleaning AND swimming

Saturday

I got up and brushed my teeth. I took probiotics, etc. I checked messages. I looked through my collection of batteries for one that would fit my watch, but didn't find one. I finished watching The Highwire.

I checked on the apple seeds that I put in a bag of dirt and stored in the fridge months ago. There were sprouts! I watered some plants. I collected old seeds and mixed them together, I went to the garden to plant them in the leaf litter. I watered some plants there.

I came home. I started my arm exercises. I copied the taco seasoning recipe onto my supplements page. I went to the chaplain's house to shampoo the rugs. I did three bedrooms in 1:15. In between vacuuming and shampooing, I did sets of shoulder exercises.

I went home for breakfast. Chris came home from Army Birthday activities in Salt Lake. I finished breakfast and jotted notes for my blog. I laid outside in the grass and read a book.

I went back to the chaplain's house to clean. I did the master bedroom and hall way and the exterior door. After 2 plus hours, I loaded up most of my cleaners. I dropped off the cleaning stuff at the York's house.

I went home for the last of the fiber gel. I washed up and put on a bathing suit. Chris and I went to the pool. We invited John and Michele but they said no. Chris sat on a chair and read news on his phone. I swam around and talked to Casey until he left. His kids didn't want to come either. I swam some more, then got out and toweled off.

We went home. I had cheese/egg/ spinach casserole and some other veggies. I completed some reading and orders so I could close some windows. I worked on my blog. I made tea, then we watched an episode of Longmire. I looked at more apron videos. Finally I went to bed and slept well.

50 ways to kill your character

Friday

I got up at 8. I took probiotics, etc. I listened to Keli's praise songs as I made more breakfast mix. I had to make it in two batches. I also made taco seasoning mix. I checked e-mail.

I went to the garden. I rearranged the hoses such that one sprinkler was in Jenni's garden and the other in mine. However the one in mine was powerful enough to cover the whole garden, but the one in Jenni's was not. I wanted to switch them but I couldn't get mine off the hose it was attached to in order to screw it to the splitter. I went to the York's house to make sure the dryer vent was closed off. I checked each room to see if anything was left behind. Then I went home.

I ate fiber gel. I read a few messages then laid out in the back yard for 20 minutes. I came in and made breakfast. Chris came back from the Army birthday bash in Tooele. He bought sprouts for me. I changed into regular clothes and we went to the commissary for the usual groceries. We got 10 one-dollar bills from the cashier, and went to the water machine at the post office. We used the cash to fill two 5-gallon jugs.

When we got home, we brought the food and water inside and put them away. I read some messages, then went to the chaplain's house to clean for 3 hours. I did a lot of baseboards and mopping and two bedrooms.

When I got home, I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I checked on the apple tree cuttings. Two of them were showing leaves! I read messages for half an hour, then had supper. I went through more e-mails and articles. I prepared a bottle of tea for Game Night. I called Casey to double check that it was still on. Chris was home on the computer because his game night was canceled due to people having other obligations.

I went to Casey's house. The kids wanted to show me their games, but it didn't work out. He loaded Kings Quest V for me. Isadora went to bed. Cedric made suggestions for awhile, then he went to bed.

I explored all the options that the little man had, but each one led to his death. I must have found 50 ways to die. Nothing he tried to pick up would pick up. And nothing he tried to buy got bought. Conversations led nowhere. So when Michelle called and told me how to find gold pieces, it was welcome information. We had quite the chat and then it got late and I had to go home.

Chris was in bed. I got ready for bed and climbed in beside him. I actually fell asleep.

Paint Night

Thursday

I got up at 8. I took supplements, etc. I read some e-mail.

I went cleaning at 9:45. I stayed until noon. Michelle called and talking to her slowed me down. Then I went home. I ate fiber gel, then put on my bathing suit and laid out in the sun for 20 minutes. I came in and made breakfast. I watched The Highwire. I had to pause it after 1:30. I got dressed. I went to the swap shop to pull in some bags of clothes that someone left.

Then I went to the York's house for the sign-over. They had cleaned a lot. But they were still packing their cars. He showed Jamie and me through the house. We decided on $200. He paid and we signed the contract. Then he needed a long shank lock for the moving truck. Jamie ran home to get one. We talked. His wife came back with the dogs. Jamie left. I stayed to see if they needed anything. She gave me some catsup and mayo. I took it home.

I put together a bag of trims for Keli and dropped them off at the library. They gave me a dozen eggs. I went to the chaplain's house to clean. I parked across the street because of the two cars parked in the driveway. I texted Shannon that I was afraid if they got scratched, I would be held responsible. Then I talked to Jamie and we got started cleaning. I worked on windows and floors. Shannon texted when she had moved the cars. Jamie asked me to clean the shower doors, so I did, finishing up after 5:30. Then I headed home.

There wasn't time to eat fiber gel. I ate the rest of the zucchini. I talked with Chris about wanting to play a demonstration video on the big screen in the fellowship hall. Then I had to head to the chapel for Paint Night.

I got there by 6:30. I started setting up the canvasses and cups. Eryne came with her daughter. We measured and mixed paints. Chris came with an old laptop. He connected it to the TV. She tried to use her phone as a hotspot to access the video, but the phone and the laptop would not talk to each other.

After he left, people started arriving. But we had to finish mixing the glue and water and paint. I made 6 oz solutions of each color. So when they had gathered, I did a demonstration pour. I showed them how to use straws to drag through the paint and how to use a balloon to make designs. Then I set them free to create. And they did. It was a lady and 5 teenagers. Two more people hadn't shown up although we waited till after 8. Our plan was to have an after-pour party where the two of us used up any extra paint. And we did do another canvas, but there was too much paint leftover. Eryne's daughter threw the paint away while I tried not to watch. We discussed the evening and decided things went pretty well so we'll do it the same way next time.

They left and I turned out the lights and locked up. I went to the gardens to water mine and Jenni's. Then I went home. I picked some peas and ate them. I read a few messages, then worked on my blog. By then it was too late to watch TV. We read one section from the devotional book. It was after 11 so we went to bed.

a local visitor or the next tenant?

Wednesday

I was up by 7:30, feeling well rested. I prepared for coffee morning, my first without the big glass measuring cup. I didn't want to pour hot water in a plastic one. After the usual exercises, etc., I meditated and tapped. I did my shoulder exercises and some squats. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes. I vacuumed and mopped floors. I laid out in the sun, then took a shower and got dressed.

I went to Sherry's place to see how she was doing. She said she wasn't going to have time to do as much cleaning as she liked and asked how much for just what was left. I said $400 but I'd have to talk to Jamie. I also talked to Clark about getting a list of whose plot is whose at the garden. Apparently now that its been taken over by the garrison, they can't give out that info.

I went to the chaplains house to clean. John did not come, but Jamie was there. While I was cleaning shelves from the fridge, I saw a snake in the laundry room and called Chris. I suggested he send someone, but he came himself. He picked up the snake and walked it into the desert. I went back to cleaning. Then he went back to work. Just after 5, Shannon came over to see the house. Then we talked for over an hour. I went home to pick up stuff for Paint Night. Then I went to the chapel to set up. Eryne met me there. We put our heads together and laid out plastic and canvasses.

I went to the garden to water my garden and Jenni's garden. I went home. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog.

Cash for cleaning

Tuesday

I got up late because it was a bad night. More restlessness, but this time taking minerals didn't help. I took the homeopathic for restless legs and it helped for awhile, but RLS came back.

I washed up and got dressed. I took supplements and powders and methylene blue. I put on an interview and listened while I parsed out more supplements. I called Hillside Medical looking for the rest of my blood test results. She said that only three were ordered.

Then I went to the chaplain's house to clean. Jamie met me there just before I left. We tried to reprogram the garage code, but the door unit didn't have a battery and we accidentlaly erased the code from the mobile unit. Oops.

I went home for breakfast. I walked to the post office to pick up mail and to ask the postmaster why Faye's cards were returned. He said it had to be a mixup at the postal center because it happened to others as well. And there was a day that Dugway got no mail.

I went back to the chaplain's house. I worked in the kitchen until John arrived. I set him to cleaning upper cupboards, fans, and trim above the doors. Then he went home. I stayed a little longer, then remembered to limit my cleaning to 4 hours. So I went home just after 5.

I ate fiber gel. I read messages. Chris sauteed zucchini for supper. So we ate that with rice. The lady I cleaned for yesterday came over with cash, including a tip. I gave her some cabbage and some mint. After she left, I counted the cash, recorded it, and pulled out $50 for Isadora.

I watered the plants in pots. I posted to my blog. Then I went to her house to give her the money. Michelle was on the phone with Casey so we got to talk a bit. Michelle had given him tumeric root for me. So we kind of traded.

I went by the garden to check on the irrigation. I adjusted the sprinkler head this way and that but could not get it to water the back of Jenni's garden. So I used another hose to water it directly. I scattered a bunch of old seeds on the leaf litter in my garden.

Then I went to the gym to report that plot 5's irrigation was leaking – unless they were trying to grow cranberries. Perfect bog. I went home. I looked at videos on how to make an apron out of jeans. Then I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Afterward Chris read from the devotional book and we discussed the questions at the end.

Chris went to bed. I stayed up to finish the interview with Dr. Klinghardt. I jotted down my cleaning hours – and John's. Then I put on some sleep music to listen to while I pieced puzzles. And I went to bed.

New toilet seat

Monday

I got up before 7:30. I took supplements, then did arm and shoulder exercises while listening to Telegram videos. Paul from Maintenance came over and installed a new toilet seat. Sadly this one is plastic. Also, I found two cartons of eggs on the porch. Yea!

I finished my arm exercises. I looked for pics of the community band, but didn't find any. So I used memes to post for band practice. I planted petunias and herbs. I ate two eggs.

I went cleaning at 41. I couldn't get a hold of John, nor Jamie. I worked in the kitchen. Michelle called. I told her I had no help and she said to call her daughter. After the call, I went home for lunch.

I talked to Isadora, who was willing to help. I met her at 2. We cleaned for two hours. She did a great job in the bathroom. We left. I texted the occupant our hours. I read e-mail then had supper. I chose a second hymn for Father's Day. I went to the chapel for band. Only Saronna and Sophia came. We played the hymns and a few other things. When the clock struck 7, we went home. So nice to have a working clock.

I read a few articles. I visited the garden. Then sprinkler was still not covering all of Jenni's garden. I hooked up a hose to the next faucet to water those plants directly. I took some walletb kits to Crystal, and checked on the irrigation to apple and pear trees. Perfect.

I went home and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire, then read from the devotional book and discussed it. I took supplements and worked on my blog. It was late, so we went to bed.

Time to fix the clock

Sunday

It had been a long night. Not sure if it was a restless condition, but it was not restless leg exactly. Anyway, that connection finally crossed my mind. I got up and drank some mineral drops in water. After that, I was able to get comfortable and go back to sleep.

Needless to say, I slept in late, like till 9. I got up and watered the plants. I vacuumed the floor in the kitchen area for glass. I read e-mail for awhile, then decided to make cheese squares. However, the container that I defrosted turned out to be mint tea, not whipped raw eggs. And Chris had used up all the eggs we had. So he ran over to Michele to get some more eggs. Then I made the squares using the taco mix seasoning. I also put cut up red peppers and green onions on top.

I ate fiber gel and read some more. I made breakfast and ate it. I got dressed for church and put cheese squares in a container. I took them to church. I met a new couple who was just stopping in on their way to Alaska. We sang new three praise songs. Cpl Popkin gave the message, and Saronna and I played two hymns. Afterward, we chatted with people. I spoke to Rick about the garden and Michelle. Then we made sure everyone was out and lights were off. I took my cheese squares and went home.

I changed my clothes and mended my dress. I put on an old bathing suit and read outside for 20 minutes. I read e-mail and texted with Michelle. I walked to the post office and back. Casey called and we decided on 8pm at the chapel to fix the clock. I went to the gardens to check on the lock and the irrigation. For some reason, the sprinkler head was reaching the back of my garden, but not the back of Jenni's garden.

I would have stayed longer, but it was time for the game to start. So I went home. I signed into Discord, but I wasn't able to talk to the group. Chris came over to work on my computer and said lots of words he didn't learn in church. It took half an hour and he couldn't explain why it suddenly started working.

Then we started the game and everyone got into character. I ate the casserole that Chris heated up for me. I ate all the leftover salad. There was a lot of discussion among our characters. Kiki got Arnie to agree to marry a noble woman at Astrid's behest.

At 7:55, I told Chris what my next move would be, then headed to the chapel with a pair of AA batteries. Casey wasn't there yet so I went and got the ladder. I climbed up to the clock and tried to reset the time. However the hour hand was running into a lower clock that counted seconds. That's when Casey arrived. I came down with the clock and let him in. He looked at the clock and needed a screwdriver. So I went to my car and got one. He took the clock apart and pushed the second hand out of the way. He reset the time and it seemed to be working. So he hung it back on the wall. He put the ladder away. I made sure all the lights were off. Then we left.

When I got back, the game was over. I put the bag of money and empty egg cartons on the door handle. I made tea and we watched an episode of Longmire. Then we went back to our laptops. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to listen to some podcasts, then I went to bed.

My favorite measuring cup

Saturday

We slept late. I took supplements. He gave me a massage and took a shower. Then I took mine. I packed cleaning supplies in my car. I took some veggie starts and went to the garden to plant them. I also check the irrigation to make sure it was working and at the right pressure.

Then I went up the hill to the chaplain's house to get started cleaning. I moved the cleaning stuff in. They had unplugged the fridge and moved it. So I had to push it to the nearest outlet to plug it back in. I checked all the cupboards for anything left behind. I swept the dirt to the corner of the room. I sprayed the MBath with the Dawn/vinegar solution. I put vinegar-soaked towels in the half bath to get the ring out. I checked the front porch for the package they were expecting, but it wasn't there.

At noon, I went home. I ate fiber gel, then cut vegetation for the casserole. I made and ate breakfast. I went to the chapel for sewing class. The Clarks arrived at the same time. I brought out one sewing machine. I showed them the leather wallet made from a kit, and the one I sewed as a class sample. All 4 kids wanted to make the one from the kit. So I handed out kits. I tried to explain how to do it, but I don't think they were listening. I gave them clover clips to hold all the pieces together while they sewed it by hand. Sophie read the instructions better than I did and figured out why there was so much thread left over. I had to intervene here and there to keep everyone on track. Saronna finished the one that Jedidiah started.

We finished early. I went home and checked e-mail. Just as I was about to message Saronna about practicing the hymns, Faye called. She said she mailed a letter to Michele and the post office refused it. Weird. Afterward, I messaged Saronna and she said come over. I went out to my car with my trombone and passed Michele carrying a pie she'd made. She offered me a piece.

I went to Saronna's house. We played through the two hymns with Sophia. Then we played I Will Call Upon the Lord by ourselves. We chatted a bit, then I went home. I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I sat outside and read for awhile. When I came in, I ate some of the casserole and made a salad.

I headed to the chapel with my trombone and music. But I got stopped on the way for not coming to a full and complete stop. I was just about there. I could see a car drive up. I reached for my phone to call Michele and ask her to come get the key to unlock the chapel door, but I had forgotten to bring it. I had to show my license, registration and insurance. Then I waited while he checked them. I told him that my car engine will stop if I come to a full and complete stop. He wrote me a warning ticket.

When he released me, I pulled into the chapel parking lot. I unlocked the door and went in. I set down the trombone and music in the front row. Then I went to the fellowship hall to turned on the lights and unlock the door. When I turned around, there were two young women, like 11th or 12th graders. I showed them the projects and they wanted to make the fabric one. I let them pick fabrics from the storage room. They claim to know how to rotary cut. So I gave them rulers and mats and cutters. I wrote the dimensions on the board. Michele came too, so I quickly explained the project and left her in charge.

Janet came with her daughter. I took them in the sanctuary for Rhythm class. We played from the sheet that we used last time. The daughter needed more practice. Afterward we went back to the fellowship hall. I helped the girls with their next steps and got out another sewing machine. Then I helped Leliani cut out her pieces. She and I pinned them together. For the sake of time, I sewed it together for her. I also helped the older girls with their sewing and topstitching. When they were done, I asked if they were willing to come back and they said yes.

Janet helped me pack up. Then we turned off the lights and went home. Chris was folding laundry so I helped him. He told me that my glass quart cup measure had shattered when he dropped the paring knife in it accidentally. Since I use it multople times a day to measure water, I was a little thrown. I also wondered how in the world glass that is almost 1/4 of an inch thick, shatters? Not cracked, not chipped, just shattered.

Then we dressed the bed with clean sheets. He started the dishwasher. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. It got violent. Then I sat down to write my blog. Chris went to bed. When I finished my blog, I got up to go to bed, but stepping on a piece of glass changed my mind. I hobbled to the bathroom and washed my foot. But it was still bleeding. So I woke Chris up to put a bandaid on it. Then I went through my bedtime routine and went to bed.

A better water source

Friday

We got up after 8. I took supplements and read e-mail. Then I went to meet Jack at the garden. We discussed the patchwork irrigation system. He and I planted a bunch of squash plants and onions in my garden. I found a pressurized faucet behind the gazebo that no one was using, so he and I moved my long hose to that faucet and ran it behind the plots to Jenni's plot and around to the front where it faces mine. I put a timer on it and adjusted the pressure to the sprinkler. I found him a timer for the fruit trees. Casey showed up and we discussed game night.

John texted me looking for another hose. Jack gave me an old one that had a hole in it. I called John and he also wanted nitrile gloves and Dayquil. So I went home and got him gloves and stuff for his sinus infection. Chris had piece of mail for Michele. I went over to their house to deliver it all and to give them instructions.

I came home and made breakfast. I ate it while reading messages and listening to NWNW. I put together a grocery list. We went to the commissary for most of it. We brought it home and put it away. Then we went to Tooele. He went in Luckey's while I went in Melanie's. Then we came home.

At 5, we went to Eryne's house. She needed to talk to Chris, with a few questions for me. Then we went home. Chris left to start his game. I heated up leftover meat and rice for supper. I listened to a podcast while piecing puzzles. I posted to my blog.

I filled a bottle with tea, then went to Casey's house. He wasn't there but said I could still play the game. But while it was still light out, I went to the secondary shed for more pillows and sheets. Then I powered up the pie and the TV. I finished the puzzle and all the ensuing ones. I solved the last puzzle at 11, then had to wait for the credits to finish to exit the game.

I went home. Chris was still up, but he soon followed me to bed.

Emergency bedding

Thursday

I got up after 8, relishing not having to get to the chapel by 8:30 for Bible study. I was mentally reviewing things I should tell people. I took supplements and checked e-mail and messages. I placed several orders for supplements. I carefully put away the good china plates. I made up capsules of slippery elm. I collected all the cleaning cloths I could find and put them through the wash.

I went to the library to get some wallet kits. Then GaryW came by and talked about having a talent show in July or August. From there I went to the gym to ask for a list of garden plots and their assignees. He said he'll get back to me. Then I went to House #2 to check the irrigation. The apple tree wasn't getting water, but the pear tree was. I increased the flow to where they are both getting watered.

I came home to eat fiber gel. I read a few messages, then made and ate breakfast. I started watching The Highwire. Bobbie called me because a couple needed bedding for a few nights. So I packed a bag with sheets, a blanket, towels and pillows and took it over to the house. No one was there so I left the stuff on the washer.

I came home and finished The Highwire. I looked at one of the leather wallet kits. Then instructions did not make sense so I looked for a video but could not find one. Scrutinizing the photo of the finished project, I was able to figure it out. Then I put it together with clips and sewed most of it outside.

I put it down and hopped in the car and went to Ginger's house. She and Gary were still packing. The inspectors were there. We talked a bit, then signed the paperwork. Bobbie showed me how to call up Jamie's venmo code so they could pay. For some reason Jamie did not show up. The inspectors left, and I talked to Ginger and said goodbye. Then I said goodbye to Gary and headed home.

I discovered that I only had one cleaning contract left, so I scanned it into my computer and printed out another copy. I should go to Housing and let them print for me. I finished the wallet and took a pic of it and the fabric one. I used the pic to post an announcement for class this Saturday.

At 6, I went to a house on first street to talk about a one-time cleaning. I noticed she had instruments so I invited her to band, which she didn't know about. We talked for almost an hour.

I got home at 7. I ate the last of the fiber gel. Later I had some supper and posted to my blog. I went to the garden at 8 to water and found my sprinkler was already turned on. I don't know how long it had been on, but the 5 gallon bucket at the other end of the garden had 4-5 inches of water in it. I adjusted the sprinkler head and shut it off. The garden was soaked.

I went home. I watered some plants on the back porch and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire. Chris paused it so I could watch the automatic sprinklers when they came on. Some were doing well, others not much at all. Then we finished the episode and read another section from the bible study book.

Chris went to bed and I stayed up to read.

The great hose shuffle

Wednesday

I got up early. I put stuff back in the hall bathroom and noticed that the toilet seat is broken, like someone stood on it. I prepared for coffee morning with coffee, supplements and exercises. After rounds of meditation and tapping, I cleaned the bathrooms and toilets and washed dishes, including the fine china that we used Monday night. l vacuumed, showered, and laid outside and read. It was nice and sunny.

I checked messages online. I submitted an ICE report about lack of water pressure in the garden. I went to inspection at 3. One inspector opened the stove top so I could clean under it. I asked about water at the garden and was told they would have to dig up the new fence to fix it.

Afterward, I went to Self-Help for a sprinkler head. Then Collie came by and checked out another one for me. Jamie came by and I gave her some cleaners from the apartment yesterday. I stopped by the library to give Keli some egg boxes. She did not have any eggs for me.

I went home and cleaned out my car looking for the wrench which I didn't find. I couldn't get the old sprinkler off to put on new sprinkler head. I put the new sprinkler on the hose on the other side of the house, then decided to roll that 150 ft onto a hose winder, so then I needed another short hose to connect the winder to the faucet. When I turned on the water, I could not work the sprinkler. So I looked up a video then went out to make adjustments. Success! Although to be fair, it did not sprinkle as well as the old one.

When Chris came home, I asked him to separate the old sprinkler from the hose, but he could not. So I took the hose/sprinkler to the garden. I detached the last hose and replaced it with the hose/sprinkler. I set the sprinkler up to water Jenni's garden and mine. Another guy was there working on his garden. He tried to help me get water but my section just wasn't getting any pressure. He said he would tell someone about it. I used extra hoses to drip water on plants near the ends of the gardens which weren't getting much water from the sprinkler. I forked some of the hay off of my garden. I turned the sprinkler 90 degrees to see if that would be better. I was able to keep it from watering too much other stuff.

I went home. I got a message from John that he needed another hose. I shuffled hoses around to get a sprinkler going on each side and still have a hose to water with. It didn't leave any hoses for John but I can trade the really long one for his shorter one.

I came in and listened to Col. Macgregor talk about foreign policy. Then I worked on my blog. We watched one episode of Longmire. We paused it when I heard the automatic sprinklers come on for the first time this year. What are the odds? Probably pretty good after I spent all that time setting up my own sprinkling system. When Longmire was over, we read through a section of the bible study book. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to read online and order from Holosync.

Paint Night filled fast

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30. Al and Cecily were already up and packed. He had breakfast and she played on her kindle. After 8 she asked for a cup to carry water and I gave her an empty kombucha bottle to take to the airport. Then they hugged and kissed me. They settled into the rental car and drove off about 8:30.

I watched more vinyl cut videos. I read some e-mail and Telegram messages. I got a text from Revonna so I headed to Headquarters. I waited until she finished a conversation. Then she showed me bookcases which the offices are looking to re-home. But not to individuals, just to another govt entity and apparently the swap shop counts.

After that, a lady gave me a vacuum still in the box, purchased for the use of the swap shop. So I carried it down the hall toward my car. I ran into Popken and Harwell. Popken carried it to my car. On the way, I got his permission to have Paint Night at the chapel. I went to the swap shop to drop off the vacuum. The lady had provided stickers saying Do Not Remove from Swap Shop. I unboxed the vacuum and assembled it just so I could put the stickers on. I also looked at the slatwall shelving. We were given so many accessories, that there isn't any room left for hanging.

I threw out the boxes. I went home. I ate fiber gel, then read messages. I posted the announcements for Paint Night. I asked Eryne for a pic of hers and she sent me a whole bunch. I picked one to add to the third post. I made and ate breakfast. I sewed a sample wallet, using denim and camo instead of quilting cotton. It was too bulky to turn inside out properly. I managed it, but the kids won't. Sigh.

I put on my bathing suit and laid outside in the sun, mostly reading. I sunned both sides of my body. I read online. I went to the chapel to meet Keli and Janet. We weeded vinyl iron-ons, then ironed them to shirts for the kids. They came out really nicely. Only took 90 minutes to make 11 shirts. I went home.

Chris came home from work. I placed the sprinkler in position in the yard and turned it on. I researched several supplements and decided who to order it from but the transaction would not go through. I called but no one answered. So I ordered from a different company. I moved the sprinkler. Then I went to the garden to water. I talked to Jenni on the phone. She asked me to water her garden too. I ended up hooking together all the hoses in a line to reach the gazebo and watered from there.

It was after 9 when I got home. Someone had asked for 6 seats at Paint Night. I made tea and we watched TV. Then he went to bed and I turned off the sprinkler and finished my blog.

Our last meal together

Monday

I got up before 7:30 and took supplements. I spent some time picking hymns. I finished a video, then texted Eryne about Paint Night. I looked up how to clean up acrylic paint, and thought we might use the chapel fellowship hall.

I parsed supplements, then got a call. I ran to an apartment that was abandoned and picked up stuff for the swap shop. There was a set of 30lb weights that might as well have been glued to the floor. The lady from Housing carried them to my car.

I finished the supplements, then posted for band. I made more breakfast mix - it was too much for the magic bullet. I ate fiber gel and read e-mail. Then I made and ate breakfast.

Al and I went to swap shop to unload the stuff from the apartment. He carried the weights for me and it didn't look easy. When we got back, I walked to Sherry's place to look at her collection of paints. I picked out some for paint night and also bought a bin and some canvasses. Her husband needed to take stuff to the swap shop so he loaded his car and I got in. We went to the shop and moved his stuff inside. Then he took me home and I carried in my bin of paints.

I went to ACS to pick up my art project. I picked up Jenni's also. I dropped it off at her house. Then I went to the old gym to see Heather who was back to pick up a load of dance trophies that she and her daughters had won. I got to look around the old gym and to talk to her. Jenni and Jamie were there helping her.

I went to 60C to change out the burner bowl that didn't fit. Then I went to Sherry's house again because she texted that she found some gesso. We talked for awhile, then I went home. I looked at slatwall accessories online and found a hanging rack - comes in a pack of 10. I searched on the name and found other sets that were cheaper. But are they a universal fit? I asked Al for his advice, but he had no experience with such systems.

Chris came home from work. I sat and read in the back yard. Then I came in to get ready for band. They had planned supper for 6:30 so they had to rethink it because band runs from 6 to 7. They were looking for the good china plates and I found them in the sideboard just before I had to leave.

Keli was already in the chapel when I arrived. So was Sophia, but not Saronna. We chatted first and then we played through hymns plus When the Saints Go Marching In and 76 Trombones. We packed up a little early and went home.

Supper wasn't quite ready so I set the sprinkler in the back yard. Michele came over for supper but John wasn't feeling well. We had many kinds of leftovers from the week. We conversed as we ate. I turned the sprinkler off. We cleared the plates and put away the food. Cecily started the dishwasher, then hugged every one and went to bed. We talked some more, and Michele went home. Later Al went to bed. Then Chris. I stayed up to watch some tapping videos and some weeding (vinyl cut) videos.

Chaplain's last Sunday

Sunday I got up before 8. I took supplements. I rescued a piece of lettuce from the tower garden. I talked to Cecily and Al. I checked e-mail. I looked up supplements. I picked some onion tops. I saved some for Cecily, and cut up some for cheese squares. I used a tablespoon of the taco seasoning that I made up yesterday. I made cheese squares and put them in the oven. I steamed two batches of eggs and put them in an ice bath. I read more e-mail. I looked at the results from the latest bloodwork but they didn't make sense. I entered my volunteer hours into the VMIS system. I made and ate breakfast. Then I quickly got dressed and drove to the chaplain's house. Jamie pulled up just after I did. We parked across the street. Then we went and rang the doorbell. Ginger let us in. The chaplain hadn't left yet so we tried to be quiet. We looked through the bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, etc. Jamie looked at the yard. We quoted her $450. She gave me some papers related to the next book of the Bible that she was going to have for Bible Study. I gave her back the large print Bible that I had borrowed. Chaplain had left but had to come back and tell me that he backed into my car. It wasn't bad, though - a bit of a dent but no paint scraped off. We headed home. I finished eating my nuts and berries and got dressed for church. I played through Leavin' on a Jet Plane. Then I packed up the big trombone. Chris put it in my car and I headed to church. They came in Al's rented car. I put the cheese squares on the back table and went forward to place the music on the stand. I got my trombone assembled. Chris and Al and Cecily came in and sat down. The LDS missionaries came and they had gifts. It was a pretty good turnout for the chaplain's last Sunday. Jamie came in at the last minute. We sang three praise songs, which she really liked. The girl twirling the ribbon on a stick was very cute. Then the chaplain presented a coin to his assistant and indicated he'd already given one to the commander and to Chris. He gave his sermon and led us in Communion. Then we played our two hymns, plus Leavin on a Jet Plane. Afterward, the chaplain presented gifts to the assistant and his family. The Colonel spoke to the group and gave the chaplain a plaque. The LDS missionaries gave their gifts. Then the assistant read a letter from from some higher up and presented the chaplain with a saber. Then most people went to the fellowship hall for a potluck. Al and Cecily left. Chris stayed. I got in a long conversation with John the engineer. We went back to the fellowship hall and had a bite to eat. I talked to Eryne and Crystal about having a Paint Night. We also talked about having kids decorate ties for Father's Day, but I wasn't sure we had any ties left at the swap shop. Finally I drove home. I ate a grapefruit. I sat outside and read a book. I looked for hymns for next week. About all I got done was to organize them by key. Then Chris and Cecily put food on the table. We had leftovers for supper. We conversed for some time. Then we all chipped in to clear the table. Cecily loaded the dishwasher. I got the sprinkler started in the side yard. I worked on my blog. I moved the sprinkler head and went to the garden to water the potatoes. When I got home, I checked messages. I shut off the sprinkler. I again looked for hymns for Sunday and had to add to the list the ones we played recently. I drank my tea as I read some more. Then I got ready for bed.

Michele's birthday tea

Saturday

I got up at 7:30. I took supplements and greeted Cecily. Al was out walking. I went back to talk to Chris who was still in bed. Then he got up and I found myself back in bed. I got up again. I put some fresh potting soil in each pocket of the tower garden.

I read e-mail. I did the shoulder exercises, I ate two eggs- the ones I should have eaten yesterday. I worked on my blog. I took a shower and put on black pants and a nice top.

I filled a water bottle, four of us went in Chris' car and two in Michele's car to Salt Lake City. She wanted to go to a 'tea' for her birthday. First we had parking problems and had to go around several blocks. Then we waited for them to do the same. The hotel was beautiful. There was a harp playing and ladies in beautiful tea dresses walking around. But when we went to sign in, the lady said we didn't have a reservation for today. It was for June 8th. Michele was NOT happy. So we went to the restaurant in the hotel. And it was very good. We traded bites of food so we could taste everything.

Cecily complained on the way back that the terrain was so desolate that it was depressing and she wasn't coming back. I think I fell asleep for awhile. It took about 90 minutes. Jamie texted about meeting the chaplain's wife for a quote.

When we got back, I mended a dashiki I found at the swap shop. I read outside for 20 minutes. I jotted notes for my blog and read e-mail. I set up the sprinkler in the back yard, then went to house #2 to check the irrigation. The water was on but no water came out of the ends.

I went to 60C to put new burner bowls on the stove. But large one didn't fit. I went to the swap shop to clean the small bathroom. The floor had a lot of paint and mortar dripped on it that wouldn't come off. I cleaned the folding doors in the back of the room. There was a very greasy wall in back of it, which I cleaned somewhat.

I got home at 6:30. I wiped sweat off my face, then we went to Michele's house for dinner. I gave John cash for work he has done recently. Michele served ginger pork ribs, rice, lettuce leaves and kimchi. It was all very good. We conversed over the meal. Michele ate the two macaroons that the restaurant gave her for her birthday.

When we got back, Cecily went to bed. I turned off the sprinkler and watered the potatoes and a few gopher holes. Then I went to the garden to water those potatoes. However, again I ran into the great disappearing water trick. I had water at my faucet, but the water would not come out of the hose I attached to it. I attached a splitter and hose to Revonna's water faucet. But again, no water came out of the other end of the hose. Someone had attached a hose to plot 15 and ran it to mine. Now that one did send water all the way through the hose and enough came out that I could water my potatoes. I forked some of the hay off the top and into the side pathway to smother weeds.

It was almost dark when I got home. Al wanted to buy my water flosser since I have never used it. We settled on a price and he paid cash. I tried to update my privacy settings in Facebook since some people are saying Meta will soon use our info to train a LLM aka AI. Then I worked on my blog. I listened to a podcast on SIBO. It got late and I prepared for bed.
