The garden in back on my radar

Tuesday

I got up before 7:30 having slept pretty well. I got ready for the day. I worked on the sticky gopher ball. The ammonia I used yesterday didn't work, so today I used rubbing alcohol. Just rubbing didn't work, so I let it soak while I read e-mail and other messages. I checked again and it wasn't ready. So I let it soak some more. I compared supplements looking for a probiotic with bifidobacterium longum BB 536.

I went early to inspection of 627. I took a bucket of cleaners and looked through the house to make sure she hadn't missed anything. The inspectors came. Jack found dust on top of the fridge. I can't imagine how I missed that. Everything else looked good. When Jamie arrived, I asked her to clean the top of the fridge. We signed the papers. Jack accepted the key to 627 plus the key to 645 and the other inspector had a key for him. I hope he was able to keep them separate. He left and we ladies stayed to chat.

Then the accordion place called. Jamie said she could take me so I told them I would pick it up tomorrow. We went home. I made fiber gel and consumed half. I washed dishes in the sink. I made and ate breakfast. I found info for Emily about the garden. She wanted to put the clean-up event in her flyer.

At 2, I went to the swap shop and worked with Jenni for 3.5 hours packing up adult clothing. We also let people come and 'shop'.

After 5:30, I went home. Chris was there, having supper. I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I made supper, and read more e-mail and messages as I ate. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Brokenwood. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to read.

Busy afternoon

Monday

I got up around 8 and got ready for the day. I checked e-mail. I looked through the Zoom worksheets. I examined the resin gopher skull. It was sticky and I thought maybe the resin hadn't been properly mixed. I looked up how to dissolve resin and ammonia was suggested. So I poured some ammonia in a bottle cap and let the sticky side of the gopher skull soak in it. I left it set until almost 11 and checked it. There was still a streak of sticky resin on it. So I put it back in to soak some more. It was on a cookie sheet so I stuck it in the oven so I didn't have to smell it.

I posted for band tonight. Then Keli said she couldn't make it at 6. Had she told me earlier, I would have scheduled band an hour later. But maybe reading my post is what prompted her to tell me. Then I chose hymns for next Sunday and Palm Sunday.

I went to the swap shop for the meeting. I chatted with the other ladies until Jamie came. Then Brian started the meeting. He told us that the work would begin either this week or next, that we could put stuff in the Connex, that if the swap shop closes it will only be for a week or two. We went to see the connex and some other empty spaces where swap shop stuff could go. Then he told us about all the plans the base has for a new park, running and biking trails, batting cage, golf cage, etc. Sounded too goo to be true.

After the meeting broke up, I went to the post office to get the mail. A lady asked if I was Fern and I said yes. So she asked about getting a quote for cleaning her quarters. I told her I could do it after 2.

Til I got home it was almost 1. I drank fiber gel and fielded some calls. Deb wanted me to come by and get some fabric she was clearing out. I texted Jamie about the quote. I made and ate breakfast.

All too soon, I paused whatever I was watching and went to the inspection at 645. I didn't see the inspectors cars, but I went in and two were there looking around. They said the oven looked great. I explained about all the other stuff I had to clean. We all signed papers and I left. I went to 610 where Jamie was looking over the place with the occupant. I joined in. The house looked pretty good to me. Better than 627. I would have been happy with $400 but Jamie was thinking $600 so we quoted her $500. She was happy with that because another lady had quoted her $800.

From there I went to Deb's house. She showed me two tubs of fabric and ribbon she was getting rid of. I agreed to take them but could not carry them. We talked about this and that. Her husband came home. He carried the tubs to my car and I drove home.

I stopped at Housing to schedule an inspection for tomorrow for 627 which Jamie said was finished. When I got home, I had a bite to eat. I read some messages and jotted notes for my blog. I rested up for band. Chris came home. We chatted.

I went to the chapel for band and realized I had forgotten the music. So I unlocked the door and went home for the music. When I got back, Saronna and Randy were set up. I asked Randy about buying a live sheep and rendering it. He said he knew how. Jenni came and we played through a bunch of hymns and Broadway tunes. Then we packed up. Keli stopped by with cartons of eggs.

When I got home, I drank the rest of the fiber gel. I read some e-mail, then put pulled pork in the toaster oven. I continued reading. I read about a green house heated by compost and also a geothermal greenhouse which was heated by pipes underground.

I made tea and we watched an episode of Brokenwood. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to read online. Then I joined him.

Can they read?

Sunday

I got up around 9, having spent a lot of time awake in bed, but then sleeping in. I got ready for the day. I read messages and watched interviews. At 11, I decided to make cheese squares. I preheated the oven while I mixed eggs and cheese. It got very smokey in the kitchen and by the time I was ready to put the mixture in the oven, all the fire alarms went off. Chris turned on the fan and opened a bunch of windows.

I made and ate breakfast, then got dressed. I took some of the cheese squares to the chapel along with my trombone and music. I talked to several people and played through one of the hymns for later. Then the service started with praise music. Cpl Popken gave the message since Chaplain was out of town. Popken ended the service and we had to remind him that we had hymns to play. So we played. People sang. The service ended.

Afterward, I talked to John M for awhile. The doc said he could play trumpet and might come to band. I went home and changed clothes. Chris and I took my car to put air in the tires and gas in the tank. We stopped at the post office to check mail from Saturday. There wasn't any, but I spied three bags of clothing outside the swap shop. They were directly under the sign that said we aren't taking donations right now and please don't leave bags in the hallway.

I put together some amended water (Boogie Brew) and took 3 buckets of compost to the garden. I raked the grass clippings out of the way and put down the compost and poured the water, raked it back and put hay on top.

I came home and saw a message from Erynne. I went to Erynne's house to get the two paintings from Thursday. When I got home, I put pulled pork in the toaster oven. We signed into Discord for the game. We played the game: we went to some small town that we had saved earlier. It was under attack again so we saved it again. Then we went to an inn for the night. Pixies were stealing stuff from the patrons, so we caught one and questioned him. He agreed to help up.

After the game, I worked on my blog and texted with Jamie. I put egg boxes on the front door for the egg lady. I made tea and we watched one episode of Brokenwood. Afterward, Chris went to bed and I stayed up to work on the Zoom worksheets, filling in the blanks. It was 11:30 till I got to bed.

A day of no commitments

Saturday

We got up before 9. We both read e-mail on our computers. Chris gave me a massage, then took his shower and I took mine. I got dressed and drank half of the fiber gel. I made more supplement doses, then made and ate breakfast. Chris put a big pork roast in the oven.

I turned on my phone. Jamie texted that she didn't want to drive in the rain so could we go another day? I suggested Wednesday afternoon. I had eaten the last egg for breakfast, so I steamed a batch of eggs. I read e-mail and listened to podcasts, one on sleep. I steamed more eggs. After the ice bath, I peeled them and put them in the pickling brine.

Chris brought Michele over for supper. We all ate the pork with rice and zucchini. We all had a chat. Then he and she watched some war movie. I went back to reading messages and interviews. I worked on my blog.

By the time he took her home, it was almost 9. But we watched TV anyway. Then it was 11:30! So we went straight to bed. It was so nice to have a day of no commitments.

Cleaning up after her kid

Friday

I got up after 8:30, not having heard any of my alarms go off. I got dressed and made fiber gel. I posted to the Facebook pages that the swap shop would be open fro 10:30 to 11. Then I grabbed my clipboard and went to Math Morning.

Saronna came with her kids and Keli was there too. She had scheduled a practice for the kids who are practicing for Easter. So those of us doing math had to shut the door to the fellowship hall so we wouldn't hear them and be distracted. I worked with Moira and we completed all of her overdue math.

I went home and rehydrated. Steve called to say he couldn't be a volunteer any more. I went to the post office to open the swap shop. No one was waiting to get in, so I went to get our mail. Steve was talking to the clerk about dogs attacking an older woman.

I went back to the swap shop to find a lady there with her little boy. He played in the toy area while she looked around. I went into the furniture room to unpack a laundry basket of fabric items. At 11 I went to the toy room to turn the lights off. There was a big mess of cracker crumbs and the toys were scattered a bit. So I put the toys back and got out the vacuum and swept the whole room and part of the second room. I was not happy.

I went home about 11:30 and had some fiber gel. I looked at Telegram messages then realized I needed more breakfast mix. So I made that, then made and ate breakfast. Around 1pm I realized that I hadn't tuned into Zoom and it was too late. I made a grocery list, then kept reading. Chris came back from the convenience store. We went to the commissary and bought a few things. Then we went to town. I nearly fell asleep listening to the book on CD. We shopped at Melanies, who had hardly any of what I wanted, then went to Macey's for sprouts and organic produce.

When we got back, I listened a podcast. I filled in blanks on the worksheets from the Zoom calls this week. Chris had supper, then went to his game night. I finished that podcast and listened to another one. I ate supper. Jenni called so I paused the interview. By the time she hung up, it was time for me to post to my blog and get ready for my game night.

I put tea in a bottle with magnesium, ashwagandha, and glycine. I went over to Michelle's house. Isadora was playing Sonic the Hedgehog. We chatted until she 'died'. Casey pulled up the Indiana Jones game. The kids watched for a bit, but then went to bed. I started in the outer ring of Atlantis and made progress but not enough to get past it. Michelle called so we both talked to her through Casey's phone. While she was talking, he looked up a walkthru for the game. He gave me the hint to put the cup on the pedestal and then open the lava flow. This allowed Indy to bring a cup of lava to the big machine that makes energy beads out of it. Like anyone could carry a cup of molten lava. Then Indy sent a robot after the guard who captured Sophia. He found the room she was in and lifted the grate the covered the door. But she would not come out, saying she was afraid the gate would drop on her. So Indy left to find a rock to prop it up, but she yelled at him for leaving her. Sheesh. He went to the canal and floated through several 'doorways' to a place where he could get off on the other side and go in. He found a statue guarding a door but could not get the door to open.

It was after 11 so I shut the game down and thanked Casey. I went home and found Chris was still up. I went through my evening routine and we went to bed.

Acrylic pour technique

Thursday

I woke up early. Chris was already up. I turned on the CD player and went back to bed. I don't think I fell asleep. I had a hard time getting comfortable. Reveille played at 6:30 and sounded odd against the classical music. Later Chris took a shower, dressed, and went to work. I got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day. I checked e-mail and Facebook. Then I went to Bible study.

I unlocked the chapel and went in. I saw the wallhanging I had donated laying in the back. I picked it up and noticed that a mouse had chewed a hole in it and mouse crap was stuck beside the hole. I tried to scrape it off. Ginger arrived and I told her about it.

During Bible study, we read through an introduction to the book of Luke. People from pest control came in to look for mice and wasps and to set traps. We even heard them walking on the roof.

When we were finished, we walked out and I locked the doors. But they asked me to leave it open for them. So I went back. From there I went to 645 to move the trash bins out to the street. But all the other bins on the street were open, so I missed that opportunity. I went inside and worked on the greasy blinds. Then I swept the floors again and tidied up the sink. I moved all my cleaning stuff to the car.

I stopped at Housing to schedule an inspection for Monday at 2. Then I went to the post office to get the mail. I noticed that someone had dropped their credit card by the front door, so I took it inside and gave it to the postmaster.

I went home. I jotted some notes for my blog. I unloaded cleaning stuff from my car. I read e-mail and other messages. I ate half of the fiber gel. I read some more, then made breakfast. I tuned into Zoom and ate breakfast while watching. I skipped out a few minutes early to go to the swap shop for meeting. Emily was there. Then Revonna texted to say Brian was going to be half an hour late. Then it got rescheduled for Monday at 11. Jamie had come so we talked about 627 and after she left, I told Emily my idea for encouraging small groups.

I went home. I started listening to the beginning of The Highwire which was well underway. Erynne wanted to start early, so I was going to quit around 3, but then Michelle called to talk about the hairdresser and her contract. As we talked, I gathered some craft supplies.

Then, when I hung up with Michelle, I drove over to Erynne's house. I stood at her front door. I knocked, I rang the bell. I texted her. And I did it all again. Finally her kids opened the door. I guess they hadn't heard.

Anyway, it took like three hours to set up for the acrylic pour and do it twice what with all the discussion at each step and the after action report. We left our canvasses on her table to dry.

I went home for supper. Chris was gone to Knife Night. I read e-mail. He came home. I made tea. We watched an episode of Brokenwood. I dozed off several times. So when it was over, we both went to bed.

Michele the therapist

Wednesday

I got up soon after 7:30. I prepared for coffee morning. I watered the sweet potatoes. I exercised and made coffee. I meditated and tapped. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen.

At noon I signed into Zoom. I watched the presentation for an hour. It was rather complicated with terms like Kreb cycle, mitochondria, electron transport chain, cardiolipin, moco synthesis. While I watched, I peeled the eggs from yesterday. I had to eat one because it stuck to the shell so badly.

When it was over, I spent an hour answering the Day 2 and 3 comment documents. I watched part of a tapping series and had a hard time finding any actual tapping. But when I did, it brought up some emotion.

Then I tried to catch up on e-mail. I called the accordion place back. But he was in the middle of a lesson. I thought he was going to call me back, but the phone didn't ring. I went to the garden to empty the coffee grounds container, then went to 645 to work on the oven and the blinds. I scrubbed both. I finally finished the oven, but the blinds needed another ammonia soak to get all the grease off.

I went home. I watered the rest of the plants. Chris came home from work. I told him we needed to talk when he got back from Mass. He said Michele was coming over. So he left for Mass and almost immediately there was a knock on the door. Michele came in and said it might be a two mile walk from her house. I guess John took their car.

Anyway, I talked to her about what I was going to talk to Chris about, thinking it might help to rehearse it. Then when Chris got home, he joined the conversation. She played the role of therapist. It was very interesting.

All of a sudden it was 9:30 and she asked for a ride home. We chatted a bit more, then she and Chris drove off. John texted me to see if Michele was here. I guess he had just gotten home. I replied “Not any more.”

It was too late to watch TV. I worked on my blog. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to work on e-mail, then went through the bedtime procedure.

John's first cleaning assignment

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day. I got out my gopher head pendant and put on some rubber gloves. I mixed up more resin and added it to the top. I turned on the fan to draw away the scent. I put the rest in the fridge for later.

I checked e-mail and messages. I spray-glued the cardstock eggs that Keli gave me to some duck fabric that I had and I cut them out. I also ironed the ones she had laminated to make the plastic stick better. I went o 627 to get some cleaning stuff and took it to 645 to clean, starting with the oven. But it was pretty bad so I sprayed it with ammonia and cleaned other things. Jamie texted that she wanted to finish 627.

So just before 11, I went to 627 and picked up the rest of my stuff. Then I went to get John and brought him to 645. He cleaned the corner cabinet, the fan, and the tops of windows. He also scrubbed the back wall inside the oven. Then I took him home and I went home for lunch.

I made fiber gel and drank half. I watched the last half of today's Zoom call. I went to open the swap shop for Tiffany. I made and ate breakfast. Then I went to Saronna's house to play. And we worked through some tricky spots from last night. The accordion place called and left a message that the accordion was finished.

I went to the library to deliver the ducky eggs. I visited Emily who was handing out blue light bulbs for Child Abuse Awareness. We discussed the swap shop meeting.

When I got home, I checked the resin. It was sort of firm. I took the extra from the fridge and soaked it in hot water till it got runny. I topped off the globe. I put 7 eggs in the steamer and set the timer for 20 minutes.

I read online. I put the steaned eggs in a cold bath. I looked up colored rings then thought that bread tags might do just as well. I looked to buy some since it would take too long to acquire 400. I texted Michelle. I walked to the post office to lock the swap shop and to check for mail, but there wasn't any. I walked home.

I listened to a podcast on thyroid health. Chris came home from work. I moved the resin workspace. I went over to 645 to see if the black stuff was coming off the oven. Sort of. I sprayed it again. I spoke to Jack who lives next door.

I went home. I made a carrot salad. I looked at pictures of peep dioramas since MWR announced a contest. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Brokenwood. Chris went to bed and so did I.

Signing for an oven, got more than I bargained for

Monday

I got up at 7:30, hearing Chris walking around. I thought he would be at work, but apparently his pants ripped and he came home to change his suit. I prepared supplements and got dressed. I drank vitamin C and mineral water. I texted Jenni and Jamie to remind them of the meeting at the swap shop.

I went cleaning at 9:30. I got a text from Revonna that the swap shop meeting was being moved to Thursday. So I texted everyone, then went back to cleaning. Texts came in saying they couldn't make it. I texted Revonna and went back to cleaning. Then she texted that the meeting was being rescheduled. I figured she would let me know the new date later so I did not text everyone.

At 11 I went to the swap shop in case anyone did show up. No one did. I picked up the mail. I went to the garden to make sure I had nothing outside the garden plot. When I got back to my car, I had a missed call. Before I could call back, a call came in. A man wanted me to quote him how much to clean his oven. So I went home to pick up a contract and headed over to his house.

He was standing with the inspectors who were not passing the house because of the oven. I quoted him $50 thinking it might take 2 hours. He didn't have cash so he went to the ATM. I chatted with Bobbie until he came back. The ATM was out of cash. I called Jamie because she has Venmo, but she didn't answer. So I called John and he had Venmo. So I let the two talk and the man sent John $70. We signed the contract and he left. I walked out with the inspector.

I went home for lunch. I ate half the fiber gel. I listened to a Zoom meeting on mental blocks to healing. After it ended, I finished breakfast and read e-mail and other messages. I unsubscribed to a bunch of lists. I went to 645 to put a pan of ammonia in the oven to 'soak' off the grease. Then I went to 627 and cleaned for an hour and a half.

I went back to 627 with my bucket of cleaners and stepstool. All the kitchen cabinet shelves were dusty and some had larger particles. I cleaned all of them. I cleaned baseboards in the kitchen. I cleaned some windows. I found hair in the bathroom cabinet drawers. So I vacuumed them out and wiped them. How did all of this pass inspection?

After an hour, I went home. I was tired and sank gratefully into a chair. I started to read e-mail and realized band was in 20 minutes and I hadn't picked the hymns yet. So I did that. Chris came home and we chatted.

Then I went to the chapel for band. It went well. Randy played along on a few songs. Then we finished up and went home. I had some ground beef and potatoes for supper. I checked e-mail and worked on my blog.

I made tea and we watched an episode of Brokenwood. I dozed off at least once. The somnolence was so strong that I fought to keep it and went directly to bed.

The missing slide

Sunday

I got up around 8. I got supplements sorted out for the day, then read e-mail and messages. I listened to an interview. I texted the chaplain to make sure the slide with lyrics to Lord of the Dance was ready. He said he couldn't find it and could I resend it? Well, I couldn't find it either so I downloaded something online, patched together just the parts I wanted, and sent that.

I started prepping for breakfast a bit early. Jamie texted asking if she could have her dress back. So I put it in a bag along with her payment for the last house. I hung it on the door.

I ate breakfast while reading online. It must have taken longer than I realized. I jumped up to get dressed for church. I took the trombone and music and cheese squares and went to the chapel.

As I was walking in, Rick talked to me about the slide of lyrics. I asked him about something Chris mentioned in regards to the game. Then I went up front and gave music to Keli. I assembled my trombone and warmed up just a bit.

Keli and Popken led the praise music. Then the chaplain led the service. Then we played Lord of the Dance and Whiter than Snow. Afterward I talked to several people and walked out talking to Saronna. She had to go back in to look for her keys. They weren't there, but we checked out the nursery and storage room. The chaplain had rearranged it to make more room and now the sewing stuff and music is not where I had it.

I went home. I finished eating breakfast. I read e-mail and got ready for the game. Chris and I signed into Discord at 5. The others were late. We all chatted a bit, then played the game. Keli came by with eggs. We thanked her and went back to the game.

Chris must have been drinking during the game because afterward he became talkative. We talked in the den, then I made tea and took it to the livingroom to watch TV. We talked some more. It was late when he started the show. And almost 11:30 when it was over. We talked some more and went to bed.

Joanns wasnt serious

Saturday

I got up before 8, but went back to bed for cuddling and a massage. Chris took his shower while I watched more of the Indiana Jones walkthrough. I stopped it when it got to parts I haven't seen.

I read e-mail and Telegram messages. I drank vitamin C water and eat fiber gel. I watched an acrylic pour video to note how much paint they used. Then I could answer Erynne's question.

I made and ate breakfast. I ate some of the durian. I looked up durian recipes. I saw a message from Michele asking if I wanted to go to Joanne's. I said yes. I put on shoes. I called Jamie to see if she wanted to go. She did, but her parents are coming to visit. She gave me her hours and I computed our earnings from 107.

John came in with a bag of fabric Michele had borrowed. I put it away and filled a bottle with tea. Then we got in their car and Michele drove us to Tooele. John went to Luckey's and we went to Joanns. I was disappointed that the quilting fabric was only 20% off. Fleece was 50% off but seemed like it was marked up first. I got paint for a possible Paint Night. Michele got trims and netting. We looked at everything, then stood in line to have yardage cut. Then we went to check out. John was in the car asleep when we got back.

Michele drove us home and dropped me off. Chris heated some potatoes and onions left from the corned beef. He threw in some cheese. He sat outside while I gave him a haircut. I ate the fiber gel first, then read messages until the potatoes were hot. I took the supper supplements later. I listened to a podcast on how to heal your gut when nothing else works. But it didn't tell me. It was a guy talking about his experience with gut issues and that he finally solved them and now does health counseling.

I made a salad with carrot and sprouts. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Brokenwood. Later he went to bed and I stayed up a little bit later.

Durian

Friday

I got up at 8. I got ready for the day. Chris left for the office before 9. Then I went to Math Morning. I worked with Moira and Casey worked with Sophia. At 10 we packed up and went home. I peeled eggs and made a pickling brine. I went to 627 to clean for an hour. I was home by noon. I made up a week's worth of supplements. I made and ate breakfast and read e-mail.

When Chris came home, I finalized the grocery list. He cut up a durian fruit. It was the consistency of avocado, but sweet. I pulled out the seeds and put the pulp in the fridge.

We went to the commissary, then stopped to fill 5 gallon jugs of water. We put those groceries away and went to Tooele. We shopped at all the usual places then came home and put the food away.

I started to read e-mail. Michele came over for supper, said John wasn't feeling well. She stayed to talk. Chris went to his game night. She stayed till I said I had 20 minutes to write my blog before I had to leave for my game night. Then she left and I worked on my blog.

After posting, I filled a bottle with tea and magnesium. I quickly reviewed my game notes. I went to Michelle's house. Casey and Cedric were watching a presentation about Legos. Casey put the Indiana Jones video up. Then Michelle called and wanted to talk about her daughter's entry into the art contest. Michelle thought it was controversial. We all discussed it and said Isadora should do what she wants with it.

Then I played the game. Cedric helped at first then he went to bed. I got really stuck when the ship went in the airlock and everything was dark. Casey looked up a walkthrough and it turns out you have to walk to the right in the dark until the small lit part is almost off screen.

Anyway, the Nazi's came and took Sophia. So Indy was on his own. He found all the clickable stuff and tried this and that. He was not able to open the door until I got another clue. Turns out the metal rod with an opening becomes a torch if you put an orachalcum bead in it. So things went better, at least until he ran into a Nazi and lost the fight. I had to reload the game and start again from that point – which meant getting the ship into the airlock. I saved it again just before going into the maze.

There were Nazis patroling the maze but for the most part Indy was able to avoid them. He found rooms of hidden things. Then all of a sudden I realized it was after 11. So I put Indy in a safe corner and shut down the game.

I went home to find Chris was still up. We had a long chat about Michelle. Then we went to bed.

Game Night

Thursday

I got up before 8. I got ready for the day, supplements etc. I watched a video on acrylic pouring, then ran to get dressed and go to Bible study. I had the key, but found myself alone in the chapel. I turned on the lights and people started coming. I pulled a cushion off of a couch and used it for back support in the study area.

When most were there, we read the last of Mark and had a quiz. Then we talked about Luke. When it was over, they left and I made sure all the lights were off. I locked the door and went home.

I drank water, then went to Housing to schedule an inspection. Then to 627 to clean. I worked for 75 minutes on baseboards and the inside of the fridge. Then I went home for lunch and The Highwire. I had to make more breakfast mix, so I started watching late.

Before 2 I paused it and went to 107 for inspection. It passed easily. I gave her the key and went home. I drank water and finished The Highwire. I walked to the post office to get mail and fill a gallon jug with water. But there was a heavy box in the mail (bone broth) so I did not get the gallon of water. I carried the box home. I jotted notes for my blog.

I went back to 627 to clean for another hour and a half. I did the lower windows inside and out. Also the screen door and baseboards. I came home to eat the last of the fiber gel and steam another batch of eggs. I heated some corned beef in the toaster oven. I ate while reading e-mail.

6 o'clock came and went. I was waiting for Chris to show up so we could go to game night at the club. I called and texted. Finally he texted back that he was in Tooele at the Council of Gov't meeting. So I grabbed Scrabble and went to the club.

At the club there were tables of people eating and tables of people playing kids card games. I hung around and played with the scrabble tiles. Then Karen invited me to join an Uno game. After Uno, we played Yahtzee. Other people came, but had to play their own game. We discussed the Swap Shop meeting on Monday. We discussed acrylic pours. I kept thinking Chris would come back in time to order his pizza. But finally I left and went home.

I sat in front of my computer and called up the new issue of Off The Record. As it started to play, I heard Chris come in with a pizza. I couldn't believe I hadn't run into him at the club. He said he had called ahead, then came in the opposite door and picked it up. We chatted then he went to review his notes for the general tomorrow. I worked on my blog.

When he was done, I made tea and we watched an episode of Brokenwood. Then he went to bed, but I stayed up to read.

The accordion is fixable

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30. I prepared for coffee morning. I exercised and stretched. I meditated and tapped. I heard a noise so I checked the front door. There were two large boxes of eggs on the porch. I brought them in from the cold.

I checked messages briefly. I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen. I vacuumed and took a shower. I called Jamie and she was finishing up 107. So I told her to call me when she was done. I steamed 7 eggs and put them in a cold bath. I wrestled with the computer and printed out several copies of When The Saints. I had to wrestle with the file too, to get the staff lines to print out.

Then Jamie started texting. Finally I went over to her house. She gave me the contract and money from the signover with her neighbor. We put the key in the lockbox. We talked inside for a bit. We didn't know what the garage code was so we changed it to one we could remember. We continued to talk. She poured out her heart to me. I kept getting texts and ignoring them.

Finally she had to go. The accordion place called. They said they had replaced the missing bellows corners and reassembled the broken decorative piece as best they could. That was $80 and for another $80 they would clean out the reeds so they all would produce sound. I agreed to that.

I checked messages and called Revonna back. She was setting up a meeting at the swap shop on Monday. I agreed to contact Summer and Anca. So after the call, I texted them both. Then I started cleaning the kitchen. I did the cupboards and countertops and mopped the diningroom floor. I dusted the fan. I resoaked all the papertowels in vinegar to get the rings out of the toilets.

I went home before 6. Chris had already left for Mass. I read e-mail. He came home and we chatted. I got a pair of pants and ripped the elastic hem out while watching a video on structures found growing in sperm.

I posted to my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Brokenwood. Then he went to bed. I stayed up to watch more of the tapping video.

Power off and on

Tuesday

I got up around 7:30. I brushed my teeth and went to the kitchen to get started on my day. I sat down to read e-mail. I called to check on a message saying I had earned points for using a debit card. It was weird, but turned out to be true. However before I could change the password, the electricity went out.

So I texted Chris about the power. His at work had blipped but not gone off. So I started texting people around the base to find out which areas had power and which didn't. I texted my findings to Chris. I talked to Jamie for a bit. I asked Michelle to monitor the Facebook page in case anyone posted about it or needing anything.

Just as I texted Chris that I was coming over to use his power, the power came back on. I had to trip some breakers to get internet. I texted some people that internet was back up. And then the power went out again.

I got dressed, and cleaned off my windshield. I packed my heating pad and put it in a satchel. I went to Chris' office. We chatted and he plugged in the heating pad. We walked to the front door to make sure it was unlocked for Michele. There was hardly anyone anywhere. Michele came in and we went back to Chris' office for lunch. I sat against the pad as they ate. A co-worker came in and they discussed cancelling TownHall tonight.

Chris got a text that EV had power again. So I texted MeryAnn to make sure she did as well. But she didn't. So Chris and I went over there to check. We had a nice chat with her and her husband. But no power.

Chris went back to the office and I went home. I made breakfast and heated tea by lighting the gas burner. Thank goodness I have a gas stove. I jotted notes for my blog as I ate. Saronna texted that she couldn't play today.

I watched videos on acrylic pour methods. I watched some videos on how to slice a durian. I called Jamie to say I needed to move cleaning stuff into the house next to her. So she agreed to leave it open. I went over and moved my stuff in. I set up the toilets to soak the rings and some of the tub. Then I swept the floors downstairs and cleaned behind the fridge and the stove.

When I got home, Chris was home and eating supper. I drank the rest of the fiber gel. He got out the crock pot of corned beef. I took out some to heat in the toaster oven. I checked e-mail and read messages. I ate supper. I worked on my blog.

I made tea. We watched the last episode of Brokenwood. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to read and to tap along with the first tapping with Brad. I paused it and went to bed.

Corned beef for St. Patrick's Day

Monday

I got up and ready by 8. I went to the kitchen to take supplements and get the fiber gel ready. I checked e-mail and phone messages. I steamed the remaining three eggs (after Chris made two pecan pies last night). The egg lady sent me a message saying she could bring more tomorrow. I put a bag out on the doorknob with empty boxes.

I chose hymns for next Sunday. I found a folder I could use for storing Christmas music. I looked for new versions of The Saints Go Marching In in order to spice up what I already had.

I drank the fiber gel concoction. I peeled the eggs. I watched some video clips, then made and ate breakfast. I took a gallon jug and walked to the post office. I got the mail, then filled the jug at the water machine and walked home. Jamie had texted me so I texted her back, then called. We got everything squared away. I opened the packages from the post office and set out the supplements.

My back hurt and I couldn't figure out why. I put a heating pad in the recliner and read for awhile. I fell asleep, then woke up and finished the book. I went to the library to return it and get another book. I also talked to the library ladies for a bit.

Then I went to dorm 107 to clean out my stuff. I realized that I wasn't as far along as I thought. I scrubbed the tub some more, as well as the kitchen sink. Then I gathered my cleaning supplies and moved them to the car and went home.

Chris had corned beef in the crock pot all day. So when he came home, he was surprised that I hadn't had any yet. He said he invited John and Michele to come over and help eat it.

I ate my fiber gel, then took my trombone and went to church. Keli was already there and playing the piano. Jenni came too. We chatted until all the Clark's were there. Then we played through a bunch of hymns and some Broadway tunes and When the Saints go Marching In. Then my lip ran out and we all packed up to go home. However, as I was walking out, I spied the wooden train set up on the floor. So I called them back to clean it up. Wilhelm and Jedidiah put the pieces back in the box, but then Wilhelm left and I walked Jedidiah back to the nursery to put the toys away. There were other toys out so I had him put those away too. My back hurt too much for me to get down to do it.

I walked him out, and I went home. The Damours, younger and older, were talking. I filled a bowl with corned beef and cabbage and ate it. Then Michele wanted to see my collection of silk. So we went to my sewing room and looked through the box. She was fascinated with all the silks and how some of them seemed to be two different colors depending on how the light hit. She chose some to take home and audition with what she had.

After a while, they went home. I cut myself a piece of the pecan pie that Chris made. It was liquidy so I had to use a spoon to get it out. After eating half, I decided to add cinnamon and cacao powder. Ohhh so good! Then I deleted a bunch of e-mail and worked on my blog.

I made tea and we watched an episode of Brokenwood. They are 90 minute episodes. And since the base is opening 3 hours late tomorrow because of an expected storm, he could stay up a little later. I suggested he did not have to get up at 4:30 to exercise, but he said he would go into work at the usual time. After he went to bed, I stayed up a little later to read online. Then I too went to bed. But falling asleep was hard because my back hurt.

Asian market

Sunday

We got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day. Chris went down to breakfast and I stayed in the room to make my own breakfast. Then I gathered things together to make the last packing easy.

I had seen on Youtube where a man in a hotel pulls the sheet off the bed and irons the corner of the mattress. Then all these little black dots showed up. So I got out the iron and pulled the sheets off the corner of the bed. I ironed in circles for a bit but nothing happened.

Chris came back to the room to pack. He said check-out was before the end of the session today. So we packed everything and took it to the car. Then we went to the conference room to attend. They asked how last night went, then talked a little about the next module. The rest was sort of a wrap-up. Chris spoke and the colonel spoke. I jotted some notes on a piece of paper. When it was over and we were dismissed, we all said goodbye to each other. I took the piece of paper and handed it to the presenter. We had a short discussion.

We went out to the car. Since we were dismissed early, I asked if we had time to stop by the Asian market. So Chris looked it up on his cell phone and got directions. Then we got on the highway and ….. well, I would have gotten lost. But we got there. We shopped for special fruit, like jackfruit. The best we could find was durian. We also got some kimbap for the trip home.

We listened to the book on CD on the way to Dugway. I nearly fell asleep. I had a quick snack, then took my trombone and cheese squares to church. We sang praise music and the chaplain gave a sermon. Then we the band played two hymns. However, the second one was not in the hymnal and the chaplain didn't have a slide for the overhead. But we played it anyway.

After the service, I took the cheese squares and went home. I ate the last piece of kimbap with kimchi. I ate the three small hardboiled eggs that froze in the hotel fridge. They were not great. Then I went to Michele's house to get the chapel key back. I gave her her container from days ago. When I came home, Chris had supper ready. I ate supper and we played the game.

Our band of crime fighters followed tracks of necromancers. We fought off skeletons and went to an abandoned castle/fort. We were challenged by a knight and we won. We went inside and were attacked. But we prevailed.

After the game, we talked. Chris and I folded the laundry and put it away. We watched an episode of Brokenwood. We talked some more. I jotted notes for today and we went to bed.

Team-building tasks

Saturday

It was a long night. I woke up in the dark to go to the bathroom and could not go back to sleep. I laid awake wishing for sleep. Shannon came in and started talking to me. Eventually I had to beg her to stop. Then a bunch of ladies came in to practice their dancing. I had to chase them out. Finally the sun burst into the window behind the TV and I pulled the curtains together as best I could. When the alarm went off at 7:30, I didn't want to get up. I thought about all the things that kept me awake and realized I must have dreamed them.

We got ready for the day. I slipped some hardboiled eggs into my purse. Then we went down to breakfast. I got a banana from the spread. Chris ordered an omelet. I talked to someone for awhile, then went to sit with Chris once he had his omelet. We chatted with the couple next to us. Finally I ran upstairs to get my bottle of water and we went into the conference room for more presentations.

Our first task was to take one large sheet per couple and draw a house. They gave us too much time so I added a bunch of stuff around it and inside the windows. Then each couple had to explain their house and how it was built etc.

We discussed it. Then our second task was to split into two groups. Chris volunteered to be the leader of our group. I had to go up with him. He was given a large hoop and I had to hold onto the end of a thick rope. Then the others had to grab hold of it too. So Chris' task was to start with me and get the whole group through the hoop without either a person or the rope touching the hoop. And we did. No one let go.

Then the second group went up. But this time, one person of each couple had to wear a blindfold and so did the person holding the hoop. So those who could see had to talk them through the hoop. It took a long time and was very interesting. Afterward we talked about what it was like.

Our third task was to split into groups of 4. We had to come up with a skit to show one or more dysfunctional responses. Then we went on with the presentations until break. Something had triggered me so I went up to the room to tap. When I came back, they were back in session. I slipped in the back. The presentations and discussions lasted till 11:45 and we broke for lunch.

Chris and I went to our room where we had fresh veggies. I made my usual breakfast. We had a serious discussion. Then we went back to the conference room. This time the second presenter did all the talking. We talked about functional and dysfunctional ways of handling situations. I think we skipped the break and went till 4. Then we were supposed to have couple time and review 3 modules in the book.

First we chatted in our room. Then we put on our swimming gear and went to the pool. We sat in the hot tub and talked to the man who was there and then 4 other men who came. When everyone left, we did too.

We got dressed for dinner. We walked to a local Thai restaurant and had delicious food. Chris had a green milk tea. It tasted like ice cream. Then we went back to the hotel to review the modules. Having done all of that, we turned on the TV and called up Netflix. We watched some Supernatural thing, but I didn't care for it. So then we agreed on Home Improvement. We watched 3 episodes.

Chris turned out some lights and went to bed. I got ready for bed, then posted to my blog for yesterday, and wrote notes for today. Then I laid down and hoped to go to sleep.

Heading for Salt Lake

Friday

I got up at 8. I brushed, and made fiber gel. I made cheese squares with thawed eggs. I tried to read e-mail but Yahoo had changed overnight and was almost unusable. I had to leave before the cheese was done so I gave Chris instructions. Then I peeled the cover off my windshield and went to chapel for Math Morning.

Michele was waiting when I got there. I let us in and Saronna and kids were right behind us. I showed her how to unlock the doors from the inside and where the light switches were. Then I sat at a table while she laid out her sewing stuff on another table.

Casey came and sat two seats down. Moira sat in the middle. We helped her go through a stack of quiz papers that needed going over. Wilhelm had math too and needed some prodding to stay on task.

They left at 10. I gave Michele the key. I showed her how to turn off the lights and where to look for lights that others may have turned on. And how to do the doors. Then we each headed home.

I smelled the cheese squares when I got home. I cut off the crispy edges and ate them. I cut it into squares and put most of them in a container. I put the rest in a baggie for Michelle. I tried again to read the Yahoo mail. It was better in another browser, but still had functions missing. I packed two food boxes with food and supplements. Chris went to the commissary and came home with more food. According to the itinerary, dinner was not provided so we packed some veggies to eat.

I took a shower and packed the toiletries. I made and ate breakfast. I packed up my computer. I filled a half gallon jug with water. I moved everything to the front hall, including the accordion. Chris packed the car. Then we headed out.

We listened to the book on CD as he drove us to Tooele. I nearly fell asleep. But one C ended and I had to get the next one out. I tried to go back to sleep. But soon we were in Tooele and we parked near Melanie's. I texted Michelle and she waved from her car. So we walked over, Chris carrying the accordion. It and I got in the car. Chris left.

Michelle and I chatted as we drove to a restaurant where Casey and Cedric were waiting for food. Isadora went in to wait and then brought some out to the car. Michelle drove us into Salt Lake City, where we drove around till we found Accordions International. We all went in. I waited. I opened the case and put on the accordion. I had Isadora take a picture. Seemed like a good idea to have a pic in case anything happened.

Finally a man came out and took my info and gave me a ticket. I showed him a pic of my dad playing it. That made me fight back tears. I got in the car with Michelle. I called Chris for the address for the hotel. She typed it in and away we went.

When we got to the hotel, she parked. I asked to see the police report that got her kicked off base. She pulled it up on her phone. I could see that they had written it as though she were crazy. Then I read something that was blatantly untrue. I asked her about it and she swore she never said it nor ever even thought it. It was repugnant to both of us.

We saw Saronna and Randy drive up. We got out and were headed that way when the colonel drove in. So she went back to the car. I greeted Saronna and we all walked to Michelle. We discussed what was wrong with the report. Chris checked in then came out to get our stuff. I think Randy helped him while Saronna and I said goodbye to Michelle. She and Isadora left.

Chris came back out and we walked in together. We talked to the Sands and they left. We went up to the room so I could see it. I unpacked a little. I went looking for the hot tub and pool. But I must have turned the wrong way and found myself walking down steps and out a side door. So I walked around front and back in. I saw Keli and her husband so we chatted. They'd seen the pool and said they'd go later when the kids were in bed. So I checked out the pool and there were only a few kids in. I walked in the other direction and checked out the classroom area and childcare area. I also got to talk to the presenting chaplains.

I got my own card key from the front desk and went back upstairs. I got online and posted about Pi Day since no one in my Facebook feed had. Then I read e-mail till 6. Then we headed down for supper. That plan got changed twice and so the dining area was mostly full when we got there. There was a buffet but not that many choices. We had chicken with noodles, raw salad, a rice dish and Italian wedding soup. It was mostly liquid. We sat down to eat. Later Chris got up for some rice. He talked to the staff. He talked to another group. Janet came and sat with me. Her husband had left with the kids so she finally had a chance to eat.

But before she finished, we had to leave for the conference room. We passed the room with the kids. Chris and I sat with the Sands. The presenters started their presentation with introductions. They had a puzzle icebreaker. We discussed introverts vs extroverts at length. She talked about how an introvert spouse deals with an extrovert spouse. But nothing about when both spouses are introverts.

We had a 5 minute break. I went upstairs to get my glasses and came back. Chris was talking to another couple and I joined them. Then we all went back to our seats. I got really sleepy. There was more about communication and trust. Then it was over. However, our group stayed to chat. Tiffany came over to say hello and that I should join her in the pool. Eventually we made it back to our room. I prepared for bed with supplements, etc. Then I sat down to write my blog and discovered that I had a lot to write. When I finished posting, I went to bed.

A windy chat at the garden

Thursday

I got up at 8. I was really tired because I woke up at 4:30 hearing Chris' alarm and was not able to go back to sleep. I got ready for the day and checked my phone. Yes, Bible study was still on. I would have skipped it but I'm the one with the key.

I took the Bible and went to the chapel and unlocked it. I turned on the lights and then Ginger arrived. We waited and chatted until Janet and Karen came. Then we read through two chapters of Mark.

Afterward, they left and I stayed to turn off the lights and lock the doors. I went home to parse out a week's worth of supplements. I checked e-mail, and drank half the fiber gel. I listened to some short videos, then made breakfast.

I ate while watching The Highwire. At 2, I went to the garden to meet Clark. We talked about all things relating to the gardens. When I got home, I read messages.

Chris came home and made supper. I ate, then packed, but could not find my travel toiletries case. Michele and John came over with pie. I had a bite and Chris finished it. Then John and I worked on upgrading my character sheet. Finally I got to post to my blog.

I filled a bottle with tea and went to Michelle's house. Casey got the game up and the kids were on the couch. I loaded the saved game and got Indy into the map room where he unlocked a hidden door. But then Nazi's grabbed Sophia and took the stones. So he clawed his way out of the labyrinth and got on their ship. He took out the captain, found Sophia, got the stones back. He also figured out how to run the ship but it would not go in the airlock.

Finally I shut down the game, thanked Casey, and went home. Chris was still up, But he went to bed while I watched the game walkthrough video to see what I missed. Then I went to bed.

Passed inspection

Wednesday

I got up around 7:30. I prepared for coffee morning. I did the special exercises and made coffee. I meditated and tapped. I cleaned the bathrooms. I washed dishes. I vacuumed the floors. Then I took a shower.

My phone rang as I got out. The inspectors wanted me to meet them early, so we settled on 1:30. I got dressed and headed out. I stopped at the post office for mail, but there was nothing to keep. I met them at 212. They had already gone in and looked around. They were ready for me to sign, which I did. We talked for a minute and I left.

I went to the gym to register for the garden. A little odd, but that's how it is now. I talked to the new guy. He was interested in knowing all about the garden so I agreed to meet him there tomorrow at 2. Then I went to Housing to drop off the key to 212 and to pick up blank contracts. I also talked to Jack and he said the garden has been taken off his plate.

From there I went to the library to pick up the paper eggs that Keli wants covered in ducky fabric. She and I also chatted. She showed me the craft for this week. Then I went home.

I marked down my cleaning time on the contract for 212. I pulled out $20 for John, and kept the rest. I marked an envelop with the info and put the bill inside. I read e-mail for just a bit, then went to 107 to clean for an hour or so. I have just the tub and floors to do.

So when I finished, I went to Michele's house. I gave her the envelope. She gave me my scarf. She showed me some silks she got in the mail. We talked about dressmaking. She gave me the last piece of her 'famous' pork and pumpkin pie.

When I got home, Chris was at Mass. I read e-mail and sent messages. When he got home, I put the pork and pumpkin pie in the toaster oven. We discussed going to the retreat on Friday. When the piece of pie was hot, he took it out. I had a few bites and gave him the rest.

He read his e-mail and I went through Telegram messages. Some are very interesting and I wish I could re-post them or send the video clips. Then I made tea and we watched TV. The Hamish MacBeth DVD wasn't working so we watched Brokenwood.

Chris went to bed and I stayed up to finish an interview with a Korean researcher who is growing out samples of fluids and tissues from living people who were vaccinated. The structures that are growing are interesting.

Swap shop meeting

Tuesday

I got up around 8. I found the psyllium husk and made fiber gel. The dementia video was no longer active so I closed that window. I checked e-mail and other messages.

I went cleaning from 9:35 to 10:50. Then I went to the furniture room of the swap shop and sat until the other people showed up for the meeting. We talked about the renovations until noon.

I came home for lunch. I looked up colored rings that we could put on the hangers to denote when clothing came in and when it should leave. I talked to Michelle, then went to play with Saronna. We didn't play long because they had to go into town to get tires. So I left early. I poured whey on the garden to jumpstart the leaf and hay layer ito composting. I went cleaning for 45 minutes at 107. The lady next door brought over a dozen eggs and I paid her.

I went home at 3:30. I jotted notes for my blog and my cleaning hours. I changed my shoes and went to Keli's RV to clean. She had forgotten so she needed a few minutes to get ready. Then she took the dogs and went to the laundromat. I started cleaning in the bathroom. Michelle called so I talked to her as I cleaned. I finished the bathroom. She had to go. I finished the kitchen and vacuumed. Then I cleaned the vacuum and went home.

It was after 5. I drank the rest of the fiber gel and read e-mail for a bit. Then I heated soup in the toaster oven. Chris came home from work. We talked and he said there was a resiliency course at the chapel. I said my notice said it was at the club. So he called Charity to make sure it was at the club. I was too tired to go, so he went by himself.

I ate supper and listened to an interview on migrants. When Chris came home, he said hardly anyone attended. It was after 8 so I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode.

Chris went to bed but I stayed up to read by the red lamp. I couldn't put the book down, so I was up till midnight.

The son-in-law contract

Monday

It was almost 9 when I got up. I got ready for the day. I e-mailed Emily about having a meeting at the swap shop. I texted Anca and Summer. I also texted John about helping me clean and he said he needed more time.

I put the carpet cleaner in my car. I went to 212 to scrub the toilet and tub. But the ring did not come completely off. Then I went to 107 to work in the kitchen. John called when he was ready. I met him in the parking lot and he carried the carpet cleaner up to 212. While I filled the tank with water, he moved all the furniture to one side of the room. I started shampooing. But what was under the bed was really dusty, so I asked him to go to 107 and get the vacuum. I continued to shampoo, then vacuumed the rectangle under the bed. He moved the furniture to the other side of the room and I shampooed again and he put it all back. When I was finished with the shampooer, he carried it and the vacuum over to 107. I thanked him and promised to pay him. He said moving furniture came under the son-in-law contract. He left. I spread more ammonia on the greasy wall behind the stove and locked up.

I went home for lunch. I made fiber gel, but without the psyllium husk since it ran out and I can't find the backup bag. But it had all the other amendments in it. I figured out my time for each apartment this morning. I jotted notes for my blog.

I went to 107 for an hour, then as I was heading to 212, the lady next door stopped to ask me about cleaning. We talked for 40 minutes and she said she knew someone who could provide me with a dozen eggs from their farm. I went to 212 and finished up in 10 minutes, bringing all the leftover cleaning supplies with me. Some I put in my car, but the mop I carried to 107. I cleaned windows and furniture for another half an hour.

I stopped by Housing to schedule an inspection for 212. Then I went home. I sat in my car as Retreat played. Then I came in, bringing the mail with me. I drank the remaining fiber gel. I picked a hymn for next Sunday. I jotted notes for my blog and added to my cleaning times. I made a copy of Saints go Marching In for Keli.

I ate supper, then went to band. I gave the robes to Keli. She tried one on Bryson and proclaimed it good. We played through three hymns and some Broadway tunes and then Saints go Marching In.

I went home. I listened to presentations on dementia. I posted to blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Hamish MacBeth. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to watch more presentations on dementia, but it went too late. So I left the window open for tomorrow, and I went to bed.

Walking with Jenni

Sunday

I got up after 8:30. I did the usual morning things. I checked e-mail. I looked up which enzyme digests casein. I looked for sources of it and compared them. I made more breakfast mix. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church.

I took seed crackers and drove to the chapel. I talked to several people. Rick asked me to call Jenni and tell her it was DST. So I did and she said she'd come over. I gave the chaplain a copy of Lord of the Dance and he said he could make a slide of it for next week.

I assembled my trombone. We waited for more people to show up, then Keli led the praise songs. Cpl Popken gave the message and he was good. Then a few of us went up to play two hymns. After the service, Keli said the kids could practice waving their ribbons for the music next week. Rick asked me about gaming. I talked to the doctor who is having a Bible study at his house this afternoon. I said we couldn't come today, but if our game gets canceled, maybe another time. Jenni asked me about walking this afternoon. And we went home.

I changed my clothes. I texted the lady whose house I had visited yesterday. I put 7 eggs in the steamer. I prepared an ice bath. Jenni came over at 3 and we went walking around and picking up litter. When we got back, Chris had put the eggs in the ice water.

He heated up a bowl of stew for me. I ate as the game started. Our band of intrepid explorers went back to town with treasure and freed slaves. Astrid spent quite some time selling stuff and buying us armor and spells and such. Then as we headed to a smller town, we were attacked by the undead. We started to fight, then called time and the game was over.

I made tea and we watched TV,. I tried to look up the story line because we couldn't understand their accent very well. But no luck. Chris went to bed. I read some e-mail, then made an order for dipeptidyl pepsidase IV. Or something like that. I couldn't log in to the site and the items disappeared from my cart so I had to find it all over again. Finally I went to bed, then remembered to water the plants. I went back to bed.

Going off schedule

Saturday

I got up before 8. I did the usual preparations. I checked e-mail and Facebook, and watched a video. Then I got dressed and went to 212 A to clean for an hour and 45 minutes. I made sure to bring home the cleaning supplies I needed for Keli's RV.

Chris was preparing a stew. I helped by peeling and chopping garlic. Then I got ready for a massage. Chris came to the back and rubbed me all over with coconut oil. Then he took his shower and got ready for the noon game.

I showered, then made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail and played Solitaire. Then I went to 107 where I cleaned the fridge. I left after 50 minutes and went to 621A for quote. I talked to Steve and Summer for an hour, and looked around to see how dirty the house was.

I went back to 107 to clean for another 40 minutes. I threw out boxes and went home. I ingested fiber gel, then helped Chris fold laundry.

He said he invited John and Michele over for dinner. And soon they were here. Chris had stew and pulled chicken on the stove. He made burritoes for them. I got a bowl of stew and he made something for himself. Then we chatted as we ate. They tried a bit of the stew as well. Afterward, I got out the chocolate stars. The conversation was mostly about movies and books they liked or didn't like.

Finally, I got out some cotton fabric I could part with and went to the guest room with Michele. She used it to pack up the antique clothes that her mother-in-law gave her. There were also a couple of other things they had left. John helped her carry it all to their car and they left.

Chris said it was too late to watch TV. I sat down to work on my blog. I saw something Faye posted on Facebook and it then jumped from one thing to the next. I found myself watching an ASMR video on rug cleaning. 12 minutes of rug cleaning. But for some reason I wanted to see the clean rug.

Anyway, I exited Facebook and turned to my blog. I posted for yesterday, then jotted notes for today. I realized I was dehydrated so I drank half the remaining tea. I went to bed, eventually fell asleep, then wode up in the middle of the night to drink some more.

Found Chris at Joanns!

Friday

I got up around 8. There was quite a bit of snow on the ground. As I was getting ready, Karen texted that she wasn't coming to Math Morning. So I posted that it was canceled. I read e-mail until after 10. I got out the test tube and spent some time coming up with 4ml of spit. Then I packaged it according to the directions. However, when I got to the shipping label, I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere (or so I thought).

I e-mailed my predicament to the company. I went back to reading e-mail for awhile. I made and ate breakfast. I called the company and they sent me a file to print out. I put it on my thumb drive and took it to the printer and printed it out. When I brought the printout back so I could cut it out, I found the original! Right by the scissors. I stuck it on the package and put it by my purse. We worked on the grocery list and got in the car.

We went to the commissary for whatever they had that we wanted. We took that food home as well as the mail from the post office. Then Chris texted Michele that we were on our way. We picked her up and went to Tooele, chatting all the way. So no Friday afternoon nap for me.

We shopped in Luckeys. When we got to the checkout, Chris handed me the list. I dropped off the UPS package, then went to Melanie's to get coconut flakes, magnesium spray, etc. When I was done, I walked out and looked for Chris' car. I finally found it all the way down at Cal Ranch. So I walked in and roamed the whole store, not finding them. I went out to double check that the car hadn't been moved. It hadn't.

I looked at the list and noticed that Michele had added 'grommets' to her list. So I walked to Joanns. And there they were, heading to the checkout line. No grommets, but with lengths of trim.

After checkout, we walked back to the car. I noted the cute chicks in Cal Ranch and Michele said she never noticed them. I wanted some and Chris said fine but not to bring them on post. Sigh. We went to Macey's and then Harbor Freight, then back to base. On the way back, we listened to the book on CD. I think Michele liked it.

We dropped her at home, then went to our house. After putting the food away, I opened the box to find supplements. I checked them off of the invoice, then put them away. Chris made supper and got ready for his game night. I read e-mail for awhile before making supper. I had some of the chicken and made a salad. Finally I worked on my blog, then looked at Indiana Jones hints.

I filled a bottle with tea and went to Michelle's house. Casey had the game up. We chatted and then I played the game. I found the moonstone and unlocked a secret door. Then I explored the labyrinth. I fielded a number of puzzles. But around 10:30 I could not find anywhere else to go and the entrance was blocked. So I shut the game down, thanked Casey, and went home.

Chris was still up. I looked up the hint I needed and then we went to bed.

Paint Night

Thursday

I got up before 7:30 to listen to the last tapping audio. Then Bible Study got shifted to 9. I prepared a contract and got my cleaning stuff together. I looked at the hours needed to clean previous dorms and adjusted the price.

I went to the chapel for Bible study. We ladies talked for while before we started reading. I left at 10 and went home for warmer coat. Then I went to the apartment I signed for yesterday, carrying cleaning stuff up to the second floor. Sadly I had to go home for the key and lock box. I went back to the apartment and got the toilet and tub started soaking. I cleaned in the kitchen.

I went to a sign-over in the next building. She was happy with the lower price. She paid me and we signed the contract. I went back to clean until noon. Then I went home for breakfast and to watch The Highwire.

Highwire: bird flu was experimented on in USDA Southern Poultry Research Facility, so probably a lab leak. Culling flocks allowes it to stay around long enough to mutate and become more virulent. It also kills any chickens that might develop immunity. So every flock remains vulnerable.

I walked to the post office to get mail. There was a package too heavy for me to carry. So I walked home without it. I read a book and rested. Chris came home at three because the base closed for bad weather.

I drove to the post office to pick up the package, then to the apartment to clean for another 90 minutes. Then I walked over to the second apartment to get the tub and toilet started soaking. I brushed snow off my car and went home. Chris was already gone to the community club to watch a movie with Michele and John. I drank the remaining half of the fiber gel. I read messages, and watched video of slides from a company whistleblower showing the program for creating nanochips and having them suspended in fluid to be injectable.

I had a carrot salad for supper. I worked on my blog. I was exhausted, but got bundled up. I wiped snow off my car and went to a painting class. I sat with Jenni. We passed around paint. We were supposed to watch a painting video on Youtube and then paint our canvas. I watched on Jenni's phone, but she kept stopping it at each step. Eryne let me watch hers. Once I saw the whole thing, I got busy and painted. I had to watch the last part again, but was able to finish ok. Then I hung around while others finished and washed brushes. Then we all posed for a pic of our paintings.

I brushed the snow off of my car and went home. Chris was back from his movie. I read e-mail until he was ready, then I made tea and we watched the first episode of Hamish McBeth season 3. Not many episodes in a season.

Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to watch an interview, then went to bed.

Ash Wednesday

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30. I got out the test kit and set it up. I heated water for coffee. I did my special exercises. I took the sample, and then finished coffee morning. I cleaned the bathrooms and started on the kitchen.

At 11:25, I stopped to make phone call to a medical intuitive. I had a ton of questions to ask. Afterward, I wrote up my notes and sent them to my practitioner. I washed dishes, then sprinkled Ajax in the sink and mopped the floor.

I took a shower, then laid down for a bit. I got up and got dressed. I checked phone messages and e-mail. I got test kit ready for mail and entered the info on their website. I had two ink cartridges ready for the mail. I filled out a contract, and went to a signover at the dorms.

When I got home, I ate a few seed crackers. The rain had stopped, so I walked to the post office to mail the stuff. I chatted with the clerk and walked home.

I read Telegram messages and listened to the remaining tapping video. I read other messages. Chris came home from work. After a few minutes, we took the empty water jugs to the car. We went to the chapel to get ashes on our foreheads and stayed to talk to the chaplain and his religious affairs specialist. Then we went to the post office to the water machine to fill the jugs. As we were chatting, he said the swap shop wasn't closing, just moving to the Connex during renovation. Blew me away.

When we got home, I texted that info to the people most involved with the swap shop. Michele called Chris, apparently just to chat. I worked on my blog post. When he hung up with Michele, I made tea and we watched one episode of Hamish McBeth. Later he went to bed, but I stayed up to watch the next round of tapping videos.

Two quotes in one day

Tuesday

I got up before 8. I brushed and went to the kitchen to make fiber gel. I read the test instructions for both test boxes. One can go in the regular mail, but the other one has to go to UPS on the same day the sample is taken. I called around to see if anyone was going to town this week. Jamie was just getting over being sick. But Saronna said she could take it on Thursday morning. I also contacted the company to see if they would accept it on a Friday.

I made up a week's worth of supplements. I made the usual fiber gel. I listened to a tapping meditation. At noon I went to a dorm room to give a quote. It was cleaner than usual.

When I got back, I made and ate breakfast. I finished decorating the last paper egg. I put all the eggs in a bag with the markers. I went to Saronna's house to practice and we chatted more than we played. We practiced When the Saints go Marching In - very slowly. That seemed to help us get in all the fancy notes.

When we were done, I went to another quote. Afterward, I stopped at the library to drop off the eggs. Then I went home. I worked on entering VMIS hours for the month of February. I finished the robes made from Chris' old shirts.

I made supper. I listened to the next of the tapping videos. I posted to my blog, made tea, and we watched TV. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to finish the tapping video.

The swap shop is not accepting donations?

Monday

I got up around 8. I went to the kitchen to take supplements, etc. I finished the tapping audios from yesterday. I put the oxtail bones in a soup and left them in the toaster oven.

I drank half of the fiber gel. I checked e-mail. I made and ate breakfast. I worked on hemming the second robe. Sadly there was a strip cut out of the shirt so I will have to sew a piece in.

I watched presentations from the menopause summit. One lady was demonstrating how to lay on a rolled up towel to loosen facia adhesions. I followed along with the demonstration. I did Sudoku during the other presentations. I worked on a supplement order.

I picked two hymns for next Sunday. Then I picked up Isadora at her house and took her to the swap shop to get a shirt for tomorrow at school. Its dress like your favorite villain day. I also got the mail.

Then we ran into Emily who was posting signs saying we (the swap shop) are not accepting any more donations. She and I talked about the why and what else was involved.

Then I took Isadora to my house. We stopped to pick up some tomato cages that someone threw out. At my house, she waited while I looked for fabric markers. I found some fabric crayons, but that wasn't what she wanted. So I took her home.

When I got back, I scanned the hymns, made them bigger, and printed them out. I texted Summer about the new policy of no donations and of closing the swap shop for renovation before the renovation is even scheduled.

I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I covered three paper eggs with fabric. Chris came home from work. I told him of my frustrations with MWR taking over the swap shop and making unilateral decisions. I ate a carrot and some tomatoes for supper.

Then I went to the chapel for band. Saronna was there so we talked until Keli came. Then the Popkens and Jenni arrived. We talked about ghosts, then we played through the hymns and other tunes that we'll play in the future. Then I dismissed everyone but Keli and Saronna. We worked on When the Saints, but we could not play our part with the piano part.

Afterward, we turned off the lights and locked the doors and went home. I sat at my computer but it would not give me a sign-in screen. Then the doorbell rang. Chris answered it. Kyle had brought us some dumplings and hot peppers that his wife made. And they were still hot. He said to eat them with sour cream. After he left, Chris said we didn't have sour cream. But I found some in the back of the fridge. It was from 2022, but had never been opened. He opened it and smelled it. It smelled fine. So I ate some dumplings with the sour cream. Tasted fine, too.

I worked on my blog. I listened to tapping audios. I made tea and we watched TV. Later, Chris went to bed. I stayed up to listen to the Day 8 tapping videos.
