Nine-patch mystery

I got up before 8. I brushed and swished and made a square in a square block. I turned on the router and boiled water for soaking nuts and tea bags. Then I turned on my laptop, but it could not find the wifi signal. I had to turn both the laptop and the router off and on several times. I sure would like to know what causes that.
I read a little e-mail then got dressed and went to quilting. I took a project, but never got around to it. I brought in the nine-patch blocks that I made, but there was no pile to add them to. Beverly helped me search, but we couldn't find them. Jeanette brought more fabric to give away. I found more fabric pieces that will go with the blocks I made. Then I helped Beverly sew strips on her bag handles. We did that until noon, and then we spraybasted a quilt top that the other Beverly made from nine-patch blocks she found. It was obvious that she hadn't trimmed them up before she sashed and sewed them together.
Afterward, there wasn't time to walk, so we went to the Asian store for kimbap. We got a few other things too and shared a package of ginger root. She gave me some apples from Scott's Orchard. When I got home, I ate the kimbap with kimchi that I already had. I read e-mail while I ate. As soon as I was done, I had to rush off to church.
I got there at 2. I had everything I needed, so I dug right in: putting the envelops in order, recording the amounts on paper, preparing the deposits, then recording it on the computer and printing the reports. While I was on the computer, a supply pastor came in to talk about what he should do on Sunday. He did not ask about the wi-fi smock I was wearing.
By 3:30 I was on my way to the bank. One of the tellers kidded around with me and another man. She said she had a sewing machine but never made a quilt. The man said his wife would like to learn, so he gave me his card so I could tell him about the groups she could join.
I submitted the deposits and picked up more deposit forms. Then I went home.
Chris was already there. I brought in the house mail which included a box for Chris. We chatted for a few minutes before engaging with our laptops. I took a walk.
I listened to an interview on EMFs:
Cell phone towers are low on the list unless you are next door to one. Higher on the list are cell phones, wi-fi routers, bluetooth, internet of things, smart thermostats, baby monitors, smart meters, and a microwave oven itself. It might help to take 2 grams of elemental magnesium to block the effect of EMF on calcium channels. Raise NRF2 with sulforaphane, among other things. Dr. Pall authored a paper on PubMed about raising NRF2. I have to admit that I did not understand all the talk about calcium channels and how they are affected by the radiation. But it was clear that it can cause problems with the heart.
Chris called Michele and I took off my headphones so I could participate. She is doing well at work and her boss wants to promote her.
Then I read articles on the safety/danger of living near a cell tower since our church is going to vote on accepting one on the property. Chris ran the dishwasher.
We watched two episodes of DS9. I swished and then drank my kava tea and took melatonin during the first episode. After the second one, Chris made his sandwich and went to bed, although it wasn't even 10 yet. I stayed up to blog and see what's on my evening list that I haven't done yet.

Another cc bites the dust

I shut off the phone alarm and sleep app at 7:30. I stayed in bed another 20 minutes. Then I got up to start my morning routine. I sewed two four-patches. Chris left the bread machine lid up, so I assembled the ingredients for a loaf of bread. I boiled water for tea. I checked e-mail. There was one from Chris questioning a credit card charge. It was not the online card, but I checked my online record anyway. Then I looked up the name of the merchant and knew I had not gone there. So I e-mailed Chris. Then he called, saying he disputed the charge but there was another one that the credit card company did not flag, for $650 to some Delaware HVAC company. I said no. So he disputed that one and now we are getting a new card. Having my credit card number stolen is more the rule than the exception these days.
I made and ate breakfast, adding a few drops of my fire cider, then got dressed. I looked for projects to take to quilting. It took longer than I thought to prepare.
So I did not arrive until almost 12:30. Most ladies were finished with lunch. Roberta was there so I caught up with her. Rebecca gave me a package of organic seaweed crisps that she found – I don't remember where. They were good.
I set up my machine. I ironed pillowcases and some fabric. I made some nine-patches for tomorrow. As the space cleared out, I unrolled the communion banner. I pinned and sewed the brown strip on. I thought everyone was packing up to go, so I did, too. But then Lauri was laying a quilt top out to spray baste.
I got home mere seconds before Chris. He lifted my sewing cart from my trunk. I brought in the mail. He changed his clothes. I put a rubbermaid tub in my trunk and got a shovel. I drove us to the pile of wood chips at the back of the neighborhood. Chris filled the tub with wood chips. I rescued the geranium that someone threw out. There were two smaller plants under it. We also found a big fern. Of course we took it home.
Chris lifted the tub out of the trunk and set it by the flower bed. I shoveled the wood chips onto the bare spots. I potted the rescued plants. Then I put a bowl of beef heart soup in the toaster oven.
I listened to an audio on herbs for sore throat: astringent herbs (sage tea, wild rose petals and leaves, rosemary tea). Herbs for the pain: echinacea, spilanthes, ginger. Anti-inflammatory herb: cloves. Demulcent herbs(soothing): marshmallow root, linden, licorice, plantain tea,. Antimicrobial: honey, propolis syrup, thyme for congestion, ginger, sage.
Lymphatic herbs: echinacea, mullien, violet leaves steeped in warm water, calendula.
Dry cough: demulcent herbs to moisten tissues (marshmallow leaves roots and flowers, linden, licorice, plantain, honey). Antispasmodic herbs: valerian (sedative), california poppy (relaxing), cramp bark, lobelia, kava (restless leg, sedative).

I listened to half of a podcast on brain science while stitching the bottom on a teacup. I stopped a few minutes before 8 to heat water for tea and to brush and swish. While watching the first episode of DS9, I drank the tea and took melatonin. Then I rubbed my scalp with a piece of onion. After the second episode, I sat down to write my blog and take the evening supplements. I was very sleepy, which was a good sign.

Picking poke

I turned off the app and the alarm and stayed in bed until 8. Chris said I was yelling for help in the middle of the night. I kind of remember dreaming that a man locked me in a room and threatened me.
I brushed and swished and took a shower. I put on my red dress for Reformation Sunday. Then I sewed two seams and turned on my laptop. I set my phone and mp3 headphones to recharge.
At 9am I left for church. I got there just as the choir was assembling. We went through our song for today and then the song for next Sunday. We won't have choir practice this week because of Halloween. I talked to several people in the vestibule, mostly the pastor's wife. As the organ played, we went into the sanctuary.
The service started with announcements. Then all the usual parts, except we had a different reading for the creed. Just before the benediction, the pastor said the table blessing. So afterward, everyone to go to the fellowship hall for lunch. I stayed to listen to the organ. We had a supply organist and she was really good. I also talked to a few people on the way to the fellowship hall. I sat across from Doris and had a good time talking to her and to Cecelia. There were Octoberfest decorations hung around. I skipped the brauts, but took some sauerkraut and beets and potatoes.
After the meal, I drove home. I barely missed the traffic from the three big churches on Airport Road. When I got home, I changed clothes. I put all the styrofoam recycling into a bag and we went to Publix. I dropped off the bag in the labeled box and then we shopped. On the way out of the store, the figs fell out of their bag and rolled. I was behind Chris and scooped them up. I handed him the package and he put them in a different bag. But in the parking lot, they rolled out again. I guess they didn't want to go to our house.
When we got home, we put food away. Chris had cooked a beef heart while I was in church. I put some in a bowl for lunch (second lunch?) I read e-mail for a bit.
It was such a beautiful day that I texted an invitation to Julia to pick pokeweed with me. While I was waiting to hear back, I called Faye, who I thought was out walking with Dad. But they were at his house. The subject of holiday plans came up and I couldn't find e-mail from Kurt with his schedule. So I hung up to check my texts. I couldn't find a text from Kurt. Julia said she couldn't go.
I took a bag and went to pick pokeweed by the fence of the space center. But someone had mowed back there and I didn't get much. I did find some nice plaintain further back. On the way back, I discovered someone had thrown out some plants by the pile of wood chips. I plucked a flower from the discard pile.
When I got home, I put the flower in water. I listened to an audio on what to do at the first sign of a cold: get some rest, bundle up and sweat, take elderberry every hour, use echinacea for the onset only. Goldenseal is good for fungal infections, but not so much for colds. Spices are good: garlic, cayenne, ginger, fire cider.
I washed and boiled the poke leaves twice. While they were was boiling, I cooked mushrooms, garlic and an egg in butter. Then I added the leaves and cooked it just a little longer. I added some seasonings and ate it while reading e-mail. Then I heated some tea. I brushed and swished. Chris and I got in an argument. But it turned out all right. We watched two episodes of DS9. He made his sandwich and I took my evening supplements. I listened to a bunch of ASMR videos all at once while I typed up my blog.
* I may rescue the geranium plant tomorrow. *

Fire cider is ready!

My alarm went off at 7:30. I rolled over and snuggled with Chris. Saturday is the only day that he isn't running to work and I'm not running to church. I am not sure exactly when we got up. For the sewing part of my morning routine, I sewed some pairs into a four-patch. I threaded two serger thread chains through their seams. Chris had the router on by then so I drank some water and turned on my laptop.
I got dressed and grabbed my purse. It was the last official yard sale Saturday of the year. Housing said there were some on the street around the corner. So I walked to a yard sale. I had a good time chatting with the folks there. Then I looked over the items for sale. I paid for an unassembled shelving unit and a plastic crate. Then I walked to another yard sale. I had a good time chatting with them as well. She did not have much, but I bought four big covered tubs for $1 each. As I was walking home to get my car, I realized they would not all fit in at once. I reached my car and drove back to the first one. A man there helped put the shelving unit in my trunk. Then I went to the second place. Luckily, the units stacked inside each other and were able to fit in the back and front seats. There wasn't much room to drive, but I did not have to go far. I squeezed it all into the garage.
I decanted the fire cider, wearing plastic gloves. I threw the strained parts into the trash, and poured the liquid through a finer strainer into a jar. I washed implements, and discarded the gloves.
Then Chris gave me a massage. I really needed one. Because he doesn't like massages, he doesn't realize how good they feel. Then he took a shower, and did laundry. I got dressed and made breakfast and read e-mail. I asked Chris to get the house mail, but there wasn't any. I worked on burying more serger threads. Beverly called. We talked for quite a while. Then, because it was suddenly sunny, I swept off the back porch as an excuse to be out there. When I came in, I sewed some pillowcase leftovers together. I put away stuff cluttering my sewing table.
One of the yard sale ladies had mentioned a Korean restaurant that I hadn't seen even though I pass the location every week. So Chris and I decided to try it out. About 5:30 we drove down Jordan to the small shopping center on Holmes. Indeed, there was a Korean restaurant, very low key. But inside it was fairly elegant. The bulgogi had been recommended, so Chris got that, and I ordered the squid. The food was outstanding, but the place was almost empty. I wished I had a way to increase their visibility.
When we got home, I laid out the communion banner project that I have been procrastinating on for many months. I removed the background and added the fish that Jeanne made. Then I listened to part of a video on prevention of colds and flu with herbs and teas. After that we watched two episodes of ChiPs, finishing the DVD. Then we dressed the bed in clean sheets. Chris got in, with a book. I went through the laundry basket, folding clothes until I found my pajamas. I put them on and sat in front of my laptop to write to my blog.
* Best kept Korean secret. *

The reason for my needle phobia

The app rang at 7:05. The alarm rang at 7:30 and I got up about 8. I brushed and swished and sewed some 4-patches into 16-patches. I turned on the router. I boiled water for tea later and to soak nuts.
I went through my e-mail. Then I got dressed, and hit the road. I stopped for gas. I arrived there early so I could take a moment to meditate and calm myself so my cortisol would not be high. But after doing the paperwork, and going to the bathroom, the tech called me back. So no time for relaxing. She stuck my right arm, but the vein kept rolling away. So she stuck my left arm and the same thing happened. And it hurt. Then my dad called. So as I was talking to him, she stuck my left arm again and this time got a vein and 6 vials of blood. I tried to talk Dad into going to his GP to get his meds checked and see if he was having a reaction to the primidone. But he was not receptive to the idea. I ate seed crackers while we talked. After the call, I checked out at the front desk. It cost me $100 for the blood letting. The lab might charge me, too, they said. They set an appointment for speaking to the doctor after the results come in. He'll probably tell me my cortisol is high. Ha.
So the visit that was supposed to take 15 minutes took 45. And it was about noon when I got home. My neighbor was home, so I took her a bottle of the sumac tea and some berries. She explained that she had canceled an obligation to be home for the maintenance men, but they never came. We talked for awhile, and I explained how to make tea from the berries. When her husband came home, I returned to my place.
I made and ate breakfast, throwing in all the supplements I had been excluding all week. I read e-mail and listened to audios and meditations. I checked the mail and found a DVD from Netflix. Chris came home early. I asked him to get my serger down from its perch. I put on an interview and listened while I ironed fabric pieces and serged three pillowcases. Beverly called while I was getting the serger set up. We talked about going to the apple orchard tomorrow. (I hope the weather clears up).
I also cut some heavier fabric for a dog bed so I could fill it with scraps of cloth and batting.
I made a salad and listened to a podcast that recommended alternating heat and cold for health, longevity and weight loss. The guy filled a 19.5 cubic foot freezer with water and spent time in it every day. That does not sound like a Fern thing to do.
I made hot ginger/turmeric tea and held the mug against my face. I listened to some meditation music by headphones while playing Solitaire. At 8 Chris put the Netflix DVD in the player. We watched several episodes of ChiPs. (For some reason OpenOffice will not allow a capital h in ChiPs.) Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog, and do the evening stuff and turn on the sleep app.
* Lab tests mean more numbers for me. I just love numbers. *

Level up!

I stayed in bed a little later than the phone alarm. I looked at the sleep app graph but did not know what to do with the information. I got started on my morning routine. It included sewing part of the bottom into teacup. Then I turned on the router. While it booted up, I boiled water to soak nuts for tomorrow. I made two cups of tea: kava and ginger. I held the hot cup of ginger tea against my mole for a minute or two. I had read that moles were caused by viruses and heat kills viruses, so I heated the mole. I deleted the first round of e-mail. I made and ate breakfast while tapping. A man came to spray the wasps. I led him out back to the nests, then went inside while he sprayed. After he left, I finished breakfast. I put on an interview and ironed 3 pieces of fabric while it played.
It was getting late. I got dressed, and threw some small projects into my cart. I rolled my cart to the car. I went to quilting. Pat introduced her co-chair for the guild library, Charlene. We talked for some time. Then Leanne arrived. She and I talked, too, and I sewed up some half square triangles for the modern quilt guild. I pulled out some squares from a Tuesday project to work on next. But Christy got a call and had to leave, so we all packed up and left. It was starting to rain. I went home. I read e-mail. I soaked some broccoli seeds in water. I made salad, adding part of a huge garlic clove. I couldn't even eat the whole half I cut up. I put on an audio and Ironed the rest of the fabric. Chris came home from work. Nothing new to report.
I filled out a Neilsen survey. It was very long and not worth the dollar that came with it. For one question I had to add up my internet purchases for a year. Good thing I like numbers.
I ate some blueberries as I read e-mail. I heated water to make sumac tea. I put the next Holosync level on my mp3 headphones. I started listening to an undetermined length audio. I paused it before 7 to move my laptop to the guest room. I activated Skype and then my tapping buddy called. We chatted, then got to work on her issue. It was not long after 8 when she wanted to conclude the session. Then I moved my laptop back to the dining room. I heated my kava tea and brushed and swished. I drank my tea while watching two episodes of DS9. Chris made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to blog and finish the audio.
* Bertha made this tablerunner, probably to go with Mrs. Claus. *

Korean advice

I got up not long after both the sleep app sounded and the phone alarm. For my sewing resolution, I cut a circle of red and did a running stitch around the edge so I could gather it around a circle of cardboard. I also did a flowered circle. I pressed them with the iron and left them to cool. I put on several meditation pieces until I found the right one. I took some niacin and did my exercises. I made coffee and tapped a lot. I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms. I vacuumed the bedroom and part of the guest room. I threw the coffee grounds on the flower beds. I started whittling down a pile of clutter in the entrance. I found 5 pieces of fabric that needed shrinking. So I soaked them in hot water. The dye ran. I rinsed them several times and put them in the laundry room until I could get back to them.
I turned on the router and deleted a few e-mail. Then I took a shower and got dressed. I went to the Korean clinic. She wanted me to help her renew her massage license. Luckily, it could be done online. Then he wanted me to get him registered with an agency that files patient insurance. I was able to make a phone call and get that straight. Then she wanted me to submit my info so they could test the form. But I was afraid it might be construed as insurance fraud. The e-mail from the company talked about training and Dr. Lee wanted me to take it and pass the info to him. I really didn't want to, but said I would see how much time it would take. She gave me a bag of dried jujubes and said to eat 5 a day for energy. He said for sleep, I should soak my feet in warm water and put a cold compress on my forehead before going to bed. She said she would remove my mole by moxibustion next week, if I could stand the discomfort.
Patients were coming in, so I left. I went home and brought in the mail. There was a Halloween card from Rebecca. Chris came home with the pants that the tailor had replaced some kind of hook. He said he had ordered ties and wondered if I could make them better and cheaper.
I tried to catch up on e-mail. I called Dad. It was the third day in a row, but today he answered. His conversation was slow. He talked about falling and having a rash. I suggested he see a doctor. After the call, I looked up the side effects of his newest med and it was all there.
I was both hungry and cold. So I heated water and added it to a package of bone broth. The temp was just right and the broth was spiced nicely. It warmed me up a little. But not enough for what came next.
I had to leave early for choir practice. I wore a jacket and a fleece scarf, but I was still cold. Cecelia came to choir and it was good to have her back. I had my tablet, too, and used it on the last song to keep pitch. We practiced enough for the next two Sundays since next Wednesday is Halloween. After practice, Jennifer and I talked about supplements and summits.
It was almost 9 when I got home. Chris had DS9 cued up. I brushed my teeth and swished while we watched. I also drank my kava tea. Afterward, we went to bed, but I had to get back up to write up my blog post so I don't forget again. I guess he'll make his sandwich in the morning.
* Bertha made this with her embroidery machine. That's a lotta thread. *

I gotta remember not to forget

Last night I collated the recyclables and left them by the front door. Then I stayed up, waiting for my phone to charge. I found some red checked fabric for my barn block and cut strips for it. Finally the phone had enough charge for the night. I set the sleep app and went to bed.
I awoke in the night to use the bathroom and Chris got up, too. I don't think I went back to sleep before his alarm went off. My app went off at 7:25. But I stayed in bed, probably till after 8. Then I brushed and swished and sewed the strips of red checked fabric onto my barn block. I drank water and turned on the router. I checked e-mail, but there wasn't time to deal with most of it.
I got dressed and went to quilting. I brought a project but got no sewing done. I had forgotten my phone, so Beverly took a pic of my block for me. Then I turned it in. Someone had left piles of fabric scraps and orphan blocks and such on a table. We picked through the piles to see what we wanted. We found stuff that suggested a project and I ended up with two such project possibilities. After others had left, we stayed to help spraybaste a quilt for the other Beverly. We thought it was going to be fast, but we had to correct some things first and make the backing. By then it was after noon. Beverly and I went for a walk and went over a mile in the neighborhood behind the church.
Afterward, I went to the Asian store for kimbap. I asked about pickled garlic, but they hadn't gotten it in yet. I went home. I ate the kimbap with kimchi while reading e-mail. Then I quickly sewed up the dinosaur, and went to church.
I forgot all my financial stuff, but at least I had my phone. I dropped off cans of green beans and fried onion toppings in the box set up for that. I recorded the offering on a blank sheet of paper. When it was recorded and ready for deposit, I put it in my trunk. I looked for wild herbs on the church property but did not find any. Then I went to the bank to make the deposits.
Afterward, I went straight home. I asked Chris about his interview today and he said it was just ok. I made and ate breakfast and read e-mail. Then I went for a walk to pick dandelion but the yard guys had mowed it down. So I went home and made a salad with the greens from the fridge.
I brushed and swished while working on a tea cup. I held it under the lighted magnifier to be able to get the details right. The magnifier showed me a dark spot under the skin of my finger. I poked it to make a hole and tried to sweep the speck out, but what came out was a darkish fluid. Uggh.
We watched two episode of DS9. Chris made his sandwich and went to bed. I wrote my blog entry and then forgot to post it. I did some stretches and listened to some ASMR. Then I applied ozone cream and went to bed with my sleep app.

Posting pics as promised

The sleep app woke me at 7:27. I turned over but then the phone alarm rang. It was so cold outside the covers that I didn't want to cast them aside. But at some point, I just got up, no will power involved. The house temp was 66. I turned the heat on. I brushed and swished and quilted a corner of the panel project. I also took out part of a line of stitching where a tuck had grown. Then I turned on the router and laptop. I boiled water to soak nuts and make tea.
I cleared e-mail and listened to audios. I could see frost on the ground, so I looked online for low temp of last night. It is much harder to find what the temp actually WAS than to find guesses for what it WILL BE.
There was the sound of banging out back. I could see the roof of a truck behind my fence, but I could not tell what they were doing. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed. I noticed the temp had risen to 76 – what we set the AC at. I lowered it to 70. I put projects in my sewing cart and headed out to the car. I took a moment to water the plants.
I got in the car and drove away, but then remembered that I had forgotten to take magnesium and bring a drink. So I went around the circle to get back to the house. I drove up a side street to see behind my house. A man was working on the fence. I pulled up to the curb and got out. He drove through the yard and stopped to talk to me. He mentioned seeing a big wasp nest and said he would come back to spray it. I told he we had lots of nests.
I swallowed a tablet of magnesium and grabbed a can of coconut water. Then I drove to quilting. There were so many ladies there that there was no place for me. But I stood and chatted with the ladies, knowing someone would leave right after lunch. I got a seat next to Leona. I showed the disappearing nine-patch top to Bertha. Dinah was ready to claim it but I said it needed borders. So I spent an hour or so putting borders on it. Then she took it to buy a backing for it.
I gave the leftovers of border fabric to Bertha since she had given it to me. Then I pulled out the pillowcases. I worked on them until the only thing left to do involved a serger. By then, almost everyone was gone. Poor Lauri was going to be on her own again.
When I got home, I brought in the mail. One piece was for a former resident so I wrote 'not at this address' and put it back in the mail. Chris came home as I was walking back from the mailbox. I showed him the wasp nests. All of them looked deserted except for one, which seemed very active. I also saw new boards in the fence.
While Chris changed his clothes, he told me about two interviews he will have this week that are repeats, meaning they are so interested that they want to interview him again. Then I made lots of salad and ate it while checking e-mail and listening to podcasts. I also had some ham. Then I posted pics of member's quilts on our group page. I had promised Bertha weeks ago that I would do it and I just kept forgetting. I went back to the beginning of the year in looking for pics to post.
While I was doing that, Chris cued up DS9 on the TV and I quickly brushed my teeth so I could sit and join him. Because it was chilly, we snuggled under a quilt while we watched two episodes. It was nice, and then the hot flashes hit. Then he made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to post to my blog and handle the recyclables.
* This is the top I made, with borders. The thin black border doesn't even show up again the dark grey one. *

Yes, I have a dinosaur...

Last night I set the sleep app and listened to Holosync on the mp3 headphones. When Holosync ended, I turned off the headphones and went to sleep. The app sounded at 7:20, but I was already awake. Then the phone alarm rang at 7:30. I shut it off and snuggled with Chris for a little bit then got up for my morning routine. I quilted a corner of the panel project, then brushed and swished. Chris had the router on already. I read e-mail and watched a video. I forget what it was about.
When it ended, I took a shower, and got dressed. I put on a jacket and went to church. The car said it was 47 degrees. I warmed up with the choir, then got a bulletin and sat in my pew. Don did not come.
Our service started with the pastor singing, then Jennifer joined it, then Julie, then all the men and finally all the women. Jennifer indicated to the congregation that they should start singing, but some already had. It was like a flash mob. The pastor went directly into the service, and saved the announcements for when the choir usually sings. Several choir members were on their way forward when he started. We sang after he finished. The rest of the service was as usual. Afterward, I talked to Cecelia who had been gone for two weeks. Then the pastor gave me a stuffed dinosaur to sew up for his grandson. Jeanne gave me a hardanger fish to put on the banner that I haven't worked on in months. No more excuses now.
Finally, I joined a small group in the fellowship hall for the pre-budget talk. When I saw who was there, I realized it wasn't going to be quick. But maybe it will save time at the regular congregational meeting in November. Several people asked me why I was carrying a dinosaur. One of the topics was an offer by Verizon to rent 64 square feet of our property for a cell tower. I made a few remarks on the subject.
After the meeting, I went home. Chris asked me why I had a dinosaur. I changed my clothes and ate some seed crackers and miso. Then we went to Publix for groceries. When we got home, we put them away. Chris cooked rice and hard boiled some eggs. I made and ate breakfast, and put away laundry. Chris ran the dishwasher. I read e-mail and listened to interviews all afternoon. Then I went for a walk around the neighborhood. I discovered a good patch of poke weed and another one of dandelion. Chris cooked a ham steak while I was gone. I ate some of that, and it was quite tasty. I also had some hummus with sliced raw garlic.
Later we watched two episodes of DS9 and looked up one of the characters. Then Chris made his sandwich while I typed up my blog entry. And now I'm ready for bed.

Catching up on summits

My app went off at 7. I was already awake. I put the phone on mute and tried to go back to sleep. Then the phone alarm rang at 7:30. I turned it off and wished I could keep the sleep app running in case I fell asleep again. I did fall asleep. When I got up, I was dismayed to see it was 9am.
I had my morning routine. For sewing, I put some stitches in the binding. Then I got inspired to quilt in the ditch all around the panel. I started the other side of the inner border but left some unfinished for tomorrow.
Then I started dealing with e-mail. A lot came in and there were plenty of summits to listen to.

Use sage for a sore throat. Alternating hot and cold wraps on the neck will help as will gargling with salt water. For sinus congestion- drinking tea of elder flower, or eyebright. Inhale steam of hypertonic salt water. Something about goldenrod.
For the nervous system (feeling blah): use lemon balm, or catnip. Resting is critical. Fever on day 3 indicates the flu. Heat up the body to kill virus. After flu, detox with clover, burdock, calendula. Try some deep breathing.
#1 herb to support the immune system is astragulus root. Medicinal mushrooms are also good, as are garlic and onions. Cold buster: chop a few garlic cloves, lemon with peel, and ginger root. Cover with honey. Stir well and let stand over night. Mix well the next morning and take a spoonful. Add cayenne if tolerated.
The five flavor garden: Chard, kale, spinach, celery, and sorrel. They are easy to grow and tasted good together.

I was talking to Chris and he took issue with something I said. It sparked a two-hour conversation. Because of that, I made and ate breakfast around 2. Later he gave me a massage and then we took a nap. When we got up, he put the sheets in the wash.
I went back to e-mail for a bit, but the sun was soon going down. I paused the interview, and went for a walk. I had to wear a jacket because it was so cool. I miss summer. When I got back, I made salad for supper. I finished the interview and started another one. I listened while I made seed crackers. I plugged the phone and mp3 headphones into the laptop to recharge. Then we watched two episodes of DS9. Chris pulled the clean sheets from the dryer and we made the bed. I checked e-mail again, then wrote up my blog entry. I swished with green walnut hull tincture. (She told me not to take supplements for a week, but she never mentioned swishing.) Then it was time to use the ozone cream and log another night of sleep waves.

First day of no supplements

The app rang at 7:20 but I had been awake since 6:30. I had not slept well so tried to get a little more sleep. Alas, it was not to be. I got up and did the usual first thing in the morning stuff. But then, instead of reading e-mail, I started clearing clutter. I organized some papers. Some went to recycling and some to the shredder. I cleared a bunch of stuff from my sewing table, leaving only three projects. I discovered that my barn block was too small. So I experimented with ways to make it bigger, but did not like any of them. In the process, I pulled out more fabric, but most of it went back where it came from. I also ironed some pieces and some batting for another project. It was good to see some space on my sewing table.
Around 11 I turned on my laptop. I boiled water for soaking nuts. I started listening to a podcast on edible wild plants. If you eat an entire dandelion plant (flower, stems and root), it is a complete protein. Purslane has omega3 and host of other stuff. Plantains have magnesium and are antibacterial, can be used for wounds. Lamb's quarters is more nutritious than spinach. Chickweed is a nutritious, good-tasting herb.
I read e-mail for awhile, and listened to more podcasts while making and eating breakfast. Then I worked on a panel project. I sandwiched it and sewed on binding, which took most of the afternoon. I took a break to eat the last piece of steak. That's when Chris came home. He brought me a package from Swansons. It was ironic that the day I start giving up supplements, I get a new package of them.
It was after 4:30. I found some boxes and took them next door along with a bottle of sumac tea. I visited with my neighbor for awhile. Her dogs wanted to go for a walk, so she said she needed 20 minutes to get ready. I came home and watered my plants. I also picked dandelion for supper later. I met her outside.
We walked around the neighborhood slowly, letting the dogs sniff this and that. When we got back, we each went home. I made a lot of salad in the usual manner. I ate it while reading e-mail. Then I went back to the panel project to whipstitch the binding. Chris cued up Netflix and we watched two episodes of DS9. Then I sat down to write up my blog and get ready for bed.

No IV for me

I woke up this morning while Chris was eating breakfast. I got up to use the bathroom and then tried to go back to sleep. I wondered how the sleep app would register my absence. Then Chris took his shower and I supposed that sound must have registered as well. I was having trouble getting back to sleep so I decided to use the time wisely. I covered myself with the PEMF heating pad. Did I mention that it was a little chilly this morning? So, after a bit, I did fall asleep but then the app woke me, at 7:27. I shut it off, laid the heating pad aside. But then the phone alarm went off. I shut THAT off and took some magnesium and went back to bed. I woke again at 8:30 and got up.
I followed my normal morning routine (albeit an hour later): I scraped my tongue, drank a cup of water, brushed, and then swished while sewing two patches together. Then I turned on the router and drank the rest of the quart of water while reading e-mail.
I listened to some interviews and took notes here and there. They are at the end of this post. I made and ate breakfast. I gathered some things and rolled my sewing cart to the car. I had my mp3 headphones around my neck. My neighbor was just getting home so we spoke for a few minutes. Then I went to quilting.
When I got there, I handed invoices to Pat. I set up my machine, then took a moment to talk to Leanne. We talked for some time, actually. When I was about to sew, I noticed that Christy was packing up. So, we all packed up and left.
The plan was to sew until 3, then go to the wellness clinic for the IV cocktail. But we packed up an hour early. So Leanne suggested going to Patches and Stitches. I had forgotten my watch so she kept track of the time. We wandered through the store looking at fabric and talking to the ladies. One mentioned that they had NASA fabric so I bought some.
Then Leanne took me back to my car. I drove to the Alison Wellness Clinic, arriving a little early. A lady gave me papers to fill out. I was expecting a long health questionnaire but it was much simpler than that. But I didn't even get to finish it. I was filling out the order form and had a question. I wanted a Meyer's cocktail with extra vitamin C. I was wondering if a glutathione add-on would be effective. So the lady at the front desk called a nurse. The nurse took me in the back to show me their newest options for intravenous nutrition. Well, the subject of supplements came up. I showed her the list I am taking. She and the other nurse said it was way too much and that more IV nutrition might be harmful. All they would let me have was the hydration part. It was recommended to me that I stop all supplements for a week and get lab tests done to see what I needed. So I went out to the front desk to schedule the labs. The secretary looked up some of the supplements on my page. Many they had not heard of. When they asked me what each one was for, I could not always remember. I agreed to go off of most supplements and have the lab tests next Friday.
Finally I went home. Chris told me he got a second interview for the job at Fort Rucker. I made salad for supper and filled out a health questionnaire. I listened to interviews. One was called “How to make your yard a secret pharmacy”. It was interesting.
I paused the video to move my laptop to the guest room. My tapping buddy called me and we tapped for over an hour on clutter. When we were done, I checked the dining room table. Clutter was still there. Ha. Chris had Netflix ready to go. I made tea and brushed my teeth. We watched two episodes of DS9. I put Chris to bed and then wrote up my blog post for today.

Bamboo salt

The sleep app woke me at 7:27. I got up to check the readout. I deleted the one from yesterday which was running at the wrong time. I brushed and swished and sewed some patches. I put on some meditation music. I took some niacin and cleaned parts of the kitchen waiting for it to kick in. When it did, I did my exercises. I made coffee. I did a lot of tapping for clutter. I listened to part of episode 8 of the Truth about Cancer. I could not take notes because I had to clean house at the same time. I cleaned the bathrooms. I watered the flowers. I mopped the kitchen floor. I swept the other floors and the rug under the coffee table. Then I took a shower and got dressed.
At 2 I went to the Korean clinic. I scanned it with my electrosmog meter and it was yellow just about everywhere. Then she brought out an electric cash register. She wanted me to show her how to use it. But I couldn't make it work. I suspected the batteries were bad since they had been in so long. So she said she would buy some. Then she wanted me to show her how to take apart and clean a Dyson. So I had to look it up. There was a video showing more of the take-apart process than I wanted to see. So we tried it and did not succeed. I tried to get the video back. We found others, and learned even more. She did not have the right tools, but with a paint can opener and two chop sticks, we got it apart and she cleaned it. Then she showed me a water testing device. I could not find any battery compartment in it. Then her husband called me over to talk about some papers we filled out and signed weeks ago. I called the company and they said they never got the e-mail, but would send a docusign form for his signature. I kept refreshing the screen but did not see the document. Finally I said I had to go. They gave me some bamboo salt and a package of jujube juice.
When I got home, Chris was there. He asked me for the clasp for his suit pants. He said another pair developed the same problem. He took them both to the tailor.
While he was gone, I finished the episode. All I remember is that micronutrients are critical in treating cancer. Fasting and hyperthermia at the same time are a double whammy for tumors. I also let a few pieces of bamboo salt melt in my mouth. It is very tasty (and expensive according to Dr. Grace.)
There were three other summits playing at the same time. I tried a few interviews, but none were all that interesting. I blended a packet of mimosa pudica seed and some papaya seed and put the powder in capsules. I made a new batch of mouth wash, and bagged up empty glass bottles.
I headed to choir practice, and dropped the glass off at recycling on the way. When I got there, I put the bank bag back in the safe. I gave a bit of bamboo salt to Jennifer. I had old newspapers for Megan, but she didn't come. We practiced for the next few Sundays. I used the keyboard app on one song.
After practice, I drove home. I made tea, and took some melatonin and valerian root and poppy seed. I brushed and swished while Chris cued up Netflix. He was tired so we only watched one episode of DS9. Then I typed up my blog post for the day. I put my evening schedule with all it's x's in an e-mail to the desktop computer so I could print it out. I had a few things left to do before I used my phone app to track tonight's sleep.

I won!

I fell asleep listening to Holosync and woke up hearing it replay. I took my phone, on airplane mode, and set the app and laid down to sleep.
My phone alarm went off at 7:30. When I checked on the app, it was not activated. Apparently there was an extra screen to tap through after tapping 'start'. I brushed, and swished and sewed some patches. It was too cold outside to sit and cull berries, so I skipped that. I started preparing bread. Then I turned on the router and laptop. I played the next episode while I finished filling the bread machine and ate some nuts. I took notes when I could, but there wasn't time to finish.

HRB analysis can be done from one drop of blood magnified 65,000x. You can see even inside the cell. Fix whatever is going wrong and correct cellular imbalances. This prevents cancer or helps body fight it. Budwig diet has flax oil which oxygenates the blood, mixed with cottage cheese to prevent gastric distress.
It helps to walk barefoot on the ground in the sunshine. It takes both detoxification and good nutrition to fight cancer. Gc-MAF reduces nagalase which cancer produces to inhibit macrophages. High nagalase indicates suppressed immune system. There was a Gc-MAF clinic in Europe but their version of the FDA came in with guns and took all their product and seized their bank accounts. Hyperbaric oxygen chambers are a good intervention for so many conditions. It directly oxygenates the blood. There are 4 billion photonic flashlights in one crosssection of DNA. Machine called Ultraviolet light Rx puts several wavelengths of UV light in a vein which activates the immune system and increases oxygen saturation. Epidemiological studies show that you reduce all cancers by 50% just by having adequate vitamin D levels. Most sunscreens increase cancer because they filter the UVB which makes Vit D and let UVA through. Sunlight accumulates in greens and fruits. Chlorophyll activates the Krebs cycle and gives us energy. Chlorophyll is the same molecule as hemoglobin except it has magnesium at the center instead of iron. Living Fuel is a super-meal you can drink, developed by Craichy for his wife when she got sick.
Smirnov studied the people who DIDN'T get cancer at Chernobyl. Something in the structure of the water was superhydrating the cells so they performed optimally. He developed Molecular Resonance Effect Technology. Mice treated with MRET water lived 70% longer than control group. Smirnov is growing extra large limes by watering the tree with MRET water. Molecular hydrogen combines with free radicals to produce water in the cells. MRET device for cell phones masks the radiation frequency with low nature frequencies.
One minute of laughter will boost your immune system significantly for 24 hours. Stress is a killer and music is a healer – more so if you play or sing it yourself. Ask your oncologist what are the chances your treatment will cure you? To get a patent, pharmaceutical companies have to make new (synthetic) drugs, which the body treats as toxins. If the body can't detoxify, it dies. Hippocratic Oath – “above all, do no harm”, also “I will not give a deadly poison.”

I paused the episode to get dressed for quilting. But it was so cold that I went back inside and dressed more warmly. Then I went to quilting. I showed off two quilt tops. Beverly W showed me the bitty Halloween mondo bag that she made. Beverly C set up her machine to work on making handles. I secretly showed several people the barn block for Jane. Robin said I had to sign my name to it.
It was raining, so Beverly and I did not go walking. I decided I didn't even want to get kimbap. I went home and made breakfast. I took notes on the rest of the video. Then I got ready for counting money.
I went to church in the driving rain. Pastor told me that Don wanted me to know he was ok. Don had a mini-stroke and was not in church on Sunday. I put the offering envelops in order, then opened them and recorded the amounts on paper. There were a number of odd things. I had to call several people to clear most of it up. One person put a $100 bill in an unmarked envelop. I didn't have my fingerprint kit, so whoever it was did not get credit.
Then I put on my wi-fi smock and sat down to enter the data on the computer. The pastor saw my smock and wanted to feel the fabric. Then he left. I finished my job, and printed the reports. Afterward, I went to the sanctuary to practice singing the liturgical chant. It was ok, but I don't think I am ready to volunteer.
I took the money to the bank and deposited it. Then I went home and got the mail. Chris was already there. I made lots of salad and ate it. All too soon it was time to leave again. And it was still raining. I took my bag of quilt tops with me to the meeting of the modern quilt guild.
I got there right on time. I handed in the quilt backing. During the meeting, I showed off my wi-fi smock, quilt tops and barn block. Then they had some drawings and I won a bag of quilt-related things – books, patterns, fabric, thread, notepad, etc. I took lots of pics of things other people made.
When the meeting was over, I signed the banner and went home. I started reading e-mail. Chris queued up Netflix before 8. We watched two episodes of DS9. We collected the trash and Chris took it to the curb. He made his lunch and went to bed. I stayed up to blog and complete the evening list. I plan to listen to Holosync again and use the sleep app at the same time.
* So this is the arrangement I chose. Sorry, Faye. *

How did I sleep?

Last night I sat in the recliner and used headphones connected to the desktop to listen to Holosync Purrification 3. I hoped to fall asleep, but the longer I sat there, the less comfortable I was. When it ended, I went to bed with my phone. I had it on airplane mode and connected to a spare battery for extra charge. The sleep app was queued up and ready to go. I set it on the head of the bed, and tried to go to sleep.
My sleep app woke me at 7:27. I was already kind of awake. I put on my glasses to read the screen. It recorded 4 minutes of snoring. I wanted to listen to see if that was Chris, but it told me I needed the paid version for that.
I brushed and swished and sewed a pair of patches together. I sat outside and harvested berries in the early sun. I turned on the router and read e-mail. I called Alison Wellness Clinic, asked a few questions, and signed up for a Meyer's cocktail with add-on vitamin C. They gave me an appointment for Thursday afternoon. I was both excited and nervous.
While making and then eating breakfast, I listened to the next episode of The Truth about Cancer:
A doctor talked about the Importance of detoxing in the right order: start with the colon, then the liver. Juicing cleanses the liver. Third, detox the kidneys. Fourth, the lymph system. Rebounding is recommended. Lymph gets more solid the cooler it gets, so warm up the body to get it flowing. The efficiency of the lymph system is affected by bras and antiperspirant. 5. Parasite cleanse – wormwood, walnut hull, wormseed, epazote, clove, kamala, bromelain, diatomaceous earth etc. 6. heavy metal cleansing,
For cancer patients, drinking Ensure is like pouring fuel on a fire. Dr Buttar's 5 steps: step 1 is detoxification. Step 2 is physiological optimization. Step 3 is immune modulation. Step 4 is target acquisition: vaccine called AARSOTA, and/or hyperthermia, and/or inject dendritic cells made from patient's own white blood cells to go throughout the body looking for abnormal cells (clinic in Germany). Mushroom cordyceps increases available oxygen in blood which cancer cells don't like. Beta glucans keeps white cell count up even during chemo. These trigger the antioxidant response: resveratrol, sulforaphane, curcumin, catechins. Astragulus increases natural killer cells which go after cancer and viral cells. The sulfur in garlic triggers the excretion of a lot of toxic chemicals. Chemotherapy knocks out the bacteria in the gut, then patients have malabsorption. Sauerkraut is good to replace probiotics. Myrrh helps with side effects of chemo.

After breakfast, I put nicer clothes on. I wheeled my sewing cart to the car, loaded it, and went to quilting. Three ladies were having lunch and the others were sewing. I asked Rebecca to take a pic of my phone screen and send it to me. The ladies found the idea of a phone app to track sleep mildly interesting.
I ironed the three panels from Friday and joined them together. Everyone liked the result. I ironed the quilt top from Thursday a week ago. And I cut satin to make pillowcases. Rebecca cut strips for the panel project she was designing on Friday. She gave me all the leftover pieces. Fresh scraps- mmmmm.
Leona helped me pin a pillowcase band so it would turn inside out. She stayed to see the magic happen. Marianne was impressed and wanted the instructions. Leona and Cyndi left and I packed up because it was after three.
When I got home, I checked the mail. There was something for Chris and a pamphlet on Ferns Castle tapestries from Cecily. I finished listening to some audios. I ate some steak, and some beef heart. I continued to read e-mail. I ate my daily dose of nuts. Then I made lots of salad.
After eating, I went for a walk. The temp was dropping so I kept it short – about 15 minutes. When I got back, I looked for fabric for a challenge project which is due tomorrow night. But instead, I ground up the mimosa pudica seeds and filled capsules. It was not easy and did not make many doses. Then I made hummus with the chickpeas Chris cooked for me.
I cleared some more e-mail, then brushed and swished. We watched two episodes of DS9 together. Chris made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to blog and get the recyclables together.

Whole Foods is still pricier

I got up at 7:45. I brushed and swished and sewed a 4-patch. I helped Chris with something. I took a shower and dressed for church. I got to spend a little time on e-mail before I left the house.
When I got to church, I used the restroom before assembling for the choir warm-up. We went through the piece several times. Then I stood and talked to Jim and Barbara for awhile. I went to the restroom again in case church went long. I passed Ron and spoke to him until I saw the pastor doing announcements. I slipped into the sanctuary and took my seat. Don was not there.
The pastor made announcements then introduced the guest pastor. During the sermon time, the guest pastor spoke about the needs of his organization and all the good they do. There was a special envelop in the bulletin for donations. I don't like tear-jerker stories, but I kept the envelop for later. After the service, I hung around to speak to Jennifer about getting a Meyer's cocktail and to Tim about the health of his son.
Then I went home and changed clothes. We shopped at Whole Foods since Chris had heard that they lowered their prices when Amazon bought them. But he was not impressed with the prices.
When I got home, I made breakfast and sat down to listen to the next episode. But Chris was so angry with his failed attempts to sign into Netflix that I moved my laptop and breakfast to the guest room. I took the following notes:

Nerve impingement in the spine causes the body to be in constant flight-or-flight mode. Hippocrates said “Look well to the spine for the cause of disease”. Most dentists don't clean up tooth sockets correctly and leave infection in the bone. Then my holistic dentist was on, talking about root canals, mercury in fillings, and dangers of fluoride. Chronic inflammation leads to cancer and the inflammation usually starts in the mouth. Mercury affects every system of the body even in minute amounts. Fluoride is a neuroexcitotoxin. Virtually all patients are deficient in iodine. HPV vaccine gives false sense of security to young women. Vaccines have not been tested for toxicity. Vaccine schedule has never been tested. This constitutes medical experimentation. UK paid $90M to parents of children damaged by swine flu vaccine. Vaccines stimulate the immune system to produce certain antibodies, so it makes no sense to vaccinate infants who haven't developed their immune system yet. Vaccinology has not improved since it was begun in the early 1900's.
Releasing emotional trauma helps dissolve cancer. Oncologists put fear into their patients by telling them they have a short time to live and must immediately submit to chemo and radiation. This is opposite of what patients need. It is in their financial interest for you to say yes to their treatments.

After the episode was over, I listened to other podcasts – too many summits! I ate most of a papaya and saved the seeds. I plugged my phone and the extra battery in to charge. Chris cooked steak for me. I poured hot water over some mimosa pudica seeds and then spread them out to dry. I went for a 45 minute walk and then watered the flowers. When I came in, the steak was ready. But I made and ate a salad first. I cleared more e-mail. I downloaded a sleep app on my phone. I cut out a small quilt block printed on fabric and handsewed it to the barn block to be a barn star.
When I finished, Chris had Netflix cued up. We watched two episodes, but the second one was double length, being the premier of season 4. Chris made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to complete my evening list and post to my blog.

Ready for Halloween

I listened to my Holosync music while lying in bed last night. I had several levels on the tablet and the names were so long that the tablet wasn't showing the part that tells which level it was. Eventually I went to sleep. But I awoke in the middle of the night and kept waking up regularly.
I got up before 8, but by the time I brushed and sewed the rest of the barn block and got dressed to work on berries, it was 8:40. I sat in the morning sun for half an hour. I tasted the red stuff that collected under my thumbnail. It was tart like vitamin C.
I boiled water for my nightly kava tea. Since I keep chopped turmeric root in my tea kettle, I get curcumin in my tea as well. I drank my usual quart of water, plus a quart of sumac tea.
I listened to the next episode of The Truth About Cancer:

Tumors with higher glutamate levels are more likely to spread. Blocking glutamate receptors shrinks tumors and even makes radiation work better. Virtually all flavenoids reduce glutamate receptor activity. Cancer cells use glucose and glutamine for fuel. Glutamine is the more powerful fuel. Soy is high in glutamate. Eating cereal and orange juice for breakfast pumps up your blood sugar. A study showed that sugar can turn a normal cell into a cancerous one. Salvestrol is produced in the last day or two of berries ripening. Good for cancer, but our food is picked green to get shipped to grocery store so we don't get it. Red pigment from blood oranges is particularly good. Avoid fake sugars, too. Aspartame causes cancer and sucralose kills bacteria in the gut. Selenium is good for prevention of cancer and remediation of cancer. Chromium and silica are deficient in our soils. A clinic in Mexico gives each patient a sensitizer that is consumed by cancer cells 70 to 1. Then the substance is activated by specific sound and or light and the cells die. Hyperthermia works because cancer cells are heat-sensitive and regular cells are heat-resistant.

I read e-mail, and made breakfast. Chris put a beef heart and a dish of vegetables on the stove to cook. I moved Holosync music from my tablet to my mp3 headphones. I deleted most of the songs on it so it would be easy to find the one I wanted, but no. I also set up the recliner near the desktop so I could play the music from there if needed.
I finished watching the video on how to make a slide show, but he did not say how to put in pictures. I wanted to try it but did not have the right pics on my laptop. So I downloaded some from my Pinterest page and others from the net. I also added pics to my Pinterest page of healthy teeth.
I checked the mail, and found a package with Halloween toys in it. The lights were packaged so that they could not turn on accidentally. I tried a few and they were quite bright. I hope trick-or-treating in this neighborhood happens before trunk-or-treat at church so I can donate the extra toys. I went through my choir music and then put my folder in the car. I ate some heart and some of the cooked veggies. Then I picked dandelion from the back yard and put it in a bowl. I went for a walk around the circle. When I got back, I made salad. I ate that and three dates. I investigate whole tones and some other things from my e-mail. I started listening to another audio, and then saw that Netflix reported a sign-in on our account. I assumed that was Chris getting DS9 ready to watch. So I paused the audio and joined him in the living room. We watched three episodes. Then he put clean sheets on the bed while I went through my evening list. I typed up my blog while I swished, and then was almost ready for bed.

Making arrangements

I got up at 8:10. I brushed and swished. I shucked berries on the front porch. I put red thread on my machine and sewed the barn down. I turned on the router. Then I put a quart of filtered water in a glass pitcher and put a quarter cup of sumac berries in it. I tried to access e-mail but the laptop would not find the signal. It found everyone else's signal, including a 5G. I put on my wi-fi smock. I put the laptop back to sleep several times and then rebooted it. All to no avail. Then I turned the router off and on. I boiled water for tea. Then the laptop found our router.
I watched part of episode 3 of The Truth About Cancer while eating breakfast.
A long list of things like curcumin and resveratrol kill cancer stem cells and made normal cells stronger. They found an association between cancer and inflammation. If you stop the inflammation, you stop the cancer from ever forming. Juicing wheatgrass is good. 5 day juice fast made one lady expel a tumor. ESSIAC tea, a blend of herbs given to a Canadian nurse by an Indian medicine man. Cases of cancer were cured by drinking it. With pressure from Bayer, in 1963, the German govt passed The Codex Alimentarius Commission to limit access to the benefits of nutritional supplements worldwide. Roundup kills good bacteria and leads to proliferation of bad bacteria, leaky gut, and inflammation too. Glyphosate was originally licensed as a mineral chelator. It sucks magnesium (among other things) so supplementing with magnesium helps.

I got dressed and went to Huntsville SewNvac where several ladies were quilting. They were surprised to see me. I brought cut up blocks to work on. But I spent more time helping Rebecca choose colors for borders for a panel to make a crib quilt for a grandson. When she went to lunch, I got all my blocks trimmed up and put on the design wall. I also pulled another fabric for her panel. When she got back, I alternated helping her audition border fabrics and sewing together blocks from the wall. I suggested a piano key border and she agreed, then tried to figure out how much fabric she needed. When she decided and went to buy the amounts of fabric, I got my block sewn into three columns. I did not want to finish it so there would be something left to work on on Monday. When she got back, I packed up and headed home. Even though I left at 4, traffic wasn't bad and I was home by 4:31, just behind Chris.
I went to check the mail and he rolled my sewing cart inside. There was a package of mimosa pudica seed. We talked for a bit and I made a big salad for supper. I moved some Holosync music to my tablet for use tonight. I finished Episode 3 and read e-mail. Chris played with the voices so we did not watch TV. I sat in the living room and finished reading a book. Then I looked at supplements on Swanson and Amazon. I forwarded something to my tapping buddy. I made a list of all the things I could do to induce sleep and put a check mark by each thing as I did it. There were also evening doses of supplements on the list. Then I typed up my blog so I could go to bed and listen to my latest Holosync level.

The darn barn

I got up at 7:40. I brushed and swished and sewed two sets of patches. I got dressed and sat outside shucking berries in what was supposed to be the morning sun. Like yesterday, there was no sun, only gray skies. But after half an hour there was some suggestion of sunlight. I came inside. I turned off the AC and opened the doors for a breeze. I spread out the shower curtain on the back porch again, although it was pretty dry. I shook the walnut hull ferment, and the fire cider.
I played the Truth About Cancer second episode: All essential oils have some effect on cancer, particularly frankincense and Myrrh. Make your own personal care products with essential oils to avoid the commercial stuff. Lemons are very plentiful in India so they use it for everything. In Australia they use what grows there. Mammograms potentially spread breast cancer and most people die of metastasis rather than the original tumor. Eggplant extract BEC-5 ruptures cancer cells, leaves the other cells alone. In a cream, it is good for skin cancer. Conventional treatment is still one size fits all. Lots of other modalities could be used.
While it played, I printed out labels for the book pockets and cards. Then I listened to a podcast on magnesium:
Use magnesium malate for relaxation and anxiety. Mag taurate is able to penetrate cell membrane – change gene expression, helps with meditation. A few drops of mugwort oil before bed induces amazing dreams. Excess calcium in the body reduces magnesium in the bones.
While I listened, I made a new green powder mix. Then I made and ate breakfast. Pat called to say she needed a label for a memorial book. So I printed it out. Then I looked for a project to take to quilting. The only thing I could find was the barn block and I wasn't sure I had everything I needed. But I took it.
When I got to quilting, there were only three people there. Apparently it was a slow day. I cut out a barn and a silo. I cut strips for the barn door. While chatting with the ladies, I stitched down the barn door with white thread. The strips refused to stay straight. I guess I should have fused them, but did not have stuff with me. I didn't have red or brown thread, so I left the rest pinned but unsewn. Then we packed up.
By 3, I was on my way to Whole Foods. I looked for mimosa pudica, but they did not have it. Then I checked for unsweetened coconut flakes and they had three kinds. I also picked up bone broth and coconut milk. As I checked out, the lady told me I would have gotten a 10% discount if I were an Amazon Prime member.
I went home. I checked the mail. I put the food away. I printed invoices for the books, pockets and cards. I cut blocks for my next project to be ready ahead of time. I read e-mail, and listened to a podcast. I ate dates and nuts and coconut flakes and onion soup.
William called to tell me his tooth got pulled. Then Chris came home from work. He told me his interview was ok, but not great. I went for a walk. It was so cold, I turned right around and put on pants and a windbreaker. It was still cold, but I went anyway. By the time I got back, I wasn't cold anymore. In fact, it seemed hot in the house.
I read e-mail until 7. Then my tapping buddy called on Skype. We tapped for sleep issues. When we were done, Chris was ready to watch TV. We watched two episodes of DS9. I rubbed some onion on my scalp. I went to bed with Chris, but didn't stay. I got up to brush, swish and blog.

Shopping with Dr. Grace

I got up at 7:41. I brushed and swished. I sewed two patches together. I sat on the front porch and removed sumac berries from their stems. There was no sun, only gray skies.
When I was finished, I put on meditative music, and made coffee. I changed the shower curtain liners, putting a clean one in the master bath and the slimy one outside. I trimmed petunias, mint and basil. My neighbor stopped to talk. She invited me to come over sometime. I finished the petunias and went in. Ron called, looking for some numbers that the treasurer sent me, but I didn't have the router on to check them.
I exercised, meditated and tapped. I forgot to take my niacin. Myra texted me and we went back and forth. I cleaned the kitchen, washed dishes, and cleaned the bathrooms. I also cleaned the coffee table, which had crumbs and dust. Then I put on real clothes, and watered the plants. I put some berries in a bag to take to the clinic.
I got there at 2. I gave the berries to Dr. Grace. She looked them up to see what they were good for. Dr. Grace wanted me to help her sign up for Obamacare, but the letter she presented me said the enrollment period had ended.
Then she looked for antiques on Craig's List. But the things she saw were far away. So I took her to a place off of University that had many rooms and was full of things old and new. She commented often that things were too expensive. It took awhile, but finally she got the message that she could make an offer. So she did, and he accepted both of her offers, low as they were. She was very happy.
When we got back to the clinic, she did not bring her purchases in. But she told Dr. Lee all about it in Korean. At least that is what it sounded like. They offered me juice packets but I said I still had enough. Dr. Grace did not understand how I could fast and not be hungry. She gave me a banana and a large peach to take home.
When I got home, I mowed the lawn. There were a few raindrops but not enough to bother me. I took a shower and got dressed. Chris came home while I was jotting notes for my blog. He showed me where a clasp came off of his pants. It was not something I thought I could fix.
I caught up on e-mail. I tried to boot up my tablet for choir practice. But it would not wake up. I plugged it into my laptop and some message flashed on the screen over and over, but too quick for me to read. Chris plugged it into the wall. It seemed to be charging, but there was no way it was going to be ready in time for choir.
I drove to choir practice. I had my book of sonatas in the car. I was a bit early so I took it in with me and played a part of one on the piano. Only the choir director and organist were there and neither one said a word. I took my seat.
Other people arrived. Jennifer told them about her Canadian Thanksgiving. And we got started late. We went through all the songs, then ended practice by singing Sunday's song up at the front.
On my way home, I thought about stopping at Publix to get unsweetened coconut flakes. But I was too tired and just went home. Chris was waiting for me. He had Netflix ready by the time I cut a piece of onion to rub on my scalp. We watched two episodes of DS9. Then Chris made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to swish and blog.

Second day of bag class

I got up at 7:34, which was interesting because I did not hear my alarm ring at 7:30. I brushed, swished, and sewed two pairs of squares together. I drank some water, and took a shower. I checked e-mail and then got dressed, and went to quilting.
I did not bring my machine. I sewed on Jane's quilt binding while helping Beverly and Beverly work on their log cabin mondo bags. Beverly W. completed her handles and sewed in the lining, nearly finished but for the topstitching. It looked really good. The other one reached the lining stage. I gave them each a piece of red board fabric for the barn blocks that Jane doesn't know about.
Then I went to the Asian store for kimbap. She said the pickled garlic would come on Thursday. I went home. I saw the recycling truck going around the circle, so I put out the recyclables. I watered the plants. I gathered things for taking to church. I ate the kimbap with kimchi while reading e-mail.
I headed to church, and stopped at the gas station on post to fill the tank. When I got to church, I did all the usual: counted the offering, entered the numbers on the computer, and printed the reports. I wore my wi-fi smock while sitting in front of the computer and router. I gave my EMF catalog to the pastor for his wife, although he seemed pretty interested in it himself. I played some pieces on the church piano. It was probably best that no one was there to hear it. Then I went to the bank and deposited the money.
When I got home, I checked the mail. One piece was for the couple next door. I went over there to deliver it. There were three parcels on the porch, all part of my last Amazon order: book pockets, books, and a shower filter. I opened the parcels and took the items out. I tried to wake up my laptop, but it wouldn't cooperate so I turned to the desktop. When Chris came home, he rebooted my laptop.
I made breakfast and ate it while listening to a podcast with Tony Robbins. I was also going to eat a salad, but I just didn't have room for it. I paused the podcast when Cecily called to see if I wanted a brochure she had on the tapestries of Ferns Castle in Ireland. When the call was over, I took my purse and headed to church for the stewardship meeting.
I went the long way. I thought it would be faster, but I got in the left lane to pass a slow car and was not able to get back to the right lane to make the turn. So I went a longer way. Still I arrived in time to drop off the bank bag and make the meeting. There was only Ron, the pastor and myself. So it went pretty quickly. In fact, I was home by 8.
Chris was almost ready. Soon he signed into Netflix and brought up DS9. We watched two episodes. I rubbed my head with a piece of onion like the doctor said. I swished with walnut hull tincture. I swallowed some mimosa pudica. I took supplements designed to help me sleep. I wrote up my blog post for today. And then it was time for bed. Whether I could fall asleep or not, was another matter.

Not another tick!

Even though I turned off the water to the hotel toilet and the AC, I still had a hard time sleeping and staying asleep. So I stayed in bed well after my alarm went off. So did Chris, until he got ideas. Then we got up. He took a shower and went downstairs for coffee, since breakfast was over. I ate breakfast in the room. He ate my leftovers from last night, plus some of the carrots and oranges that we brought along.
I read the e-mail that did not contain pics or video because the wi-fi was really slow. I gave up and started packing. Chris carried stuff down to the car. When the room was clear, we checked out at the front desk. Chris programmed the GPS for home and then we were on our way.
Along the way we talked about this and that. At some point around Decatur, his low fuel alarm sounded. I thought he would stop at the next station, but he continued to the arsenal and used the gas station there. I filled out the book in the glove compartment. Then we went home.
We emptied the car. Chris started a load of laundry. I watered the plants out front. Then we went to the Wal-mart neighborhood store. We found most of the stuff on our list, but not everything. We decided that only Publix has everything we are used to getting.
When we got home, we put the food away. I uncovered the carrot seedlings. They were alive, but looking a little moldy. I made a cup of kava and valerian tea for later. I washed the baby carrots and separated out the bad ones. I unpacked the food box. I ate seed crackers with some white miso.
Finally I checked e-mail. Ah, what lovely internet access we have! After a bit, I took a break to practice driving Chris' car, with him in it, so I wouldn't forget how. Use it or lose it, I guess. When we got back, I printed labels for the books Pat wants to take to the guild board meeting tonight. I called her to say they were ready. She suggested I print out an invoice as well. So I did that. There were three books on the invoice, so I printed another label for the third book, then realized we are out of book pockets. Oh well.
I read e-mail until the doorbell rang. It was Pat, here to pick up the books. I gave her the books and invoice. She mentioned that she wasn't able to print the agenda. So I invited her in to use the desktop. She signed into her e-mail and a preview of the agenda came up. We could not print it from the preview, but I downloaded it and then printed it easily. She thanked me and headed to her meeting.
I saw the sun getting low so I went for a walk. I came back with two magnolia berries and a yellow wildflower. My previous yellow wildflower had died, so I pulled it out of the pot, loosened up the dirt, and planted the new one. Then I turned on the hose and watered everything.
Still trying to catch up on e-mail, I listened to a documentary while making a big salad. It was about children in Argentina born with birth defects to tobacco farmers. I used the hemp oil I got at Walmart. I paused the audio, when Chris was ready to watch TV.
We watched two episodes of DS9. During the second one, I felt a lump at the top of my inner thigh. Chris checked it out and said it was a tick. The tick was tiny compared to the lump it was attached to. I wondered how long it could have been there. Chris put coconut oil on it. We finished the second episode. Then Chris got a needle and picked the tick out. It was still alive. Then we checked each other for more ticks but did not find anything. He pulled clean sheets out of the dryer and we dressed the bed. He made his sandwich and went to bed. I stayed up to swish and blog and listen to another podcast. When I put ozone cream on the tick site later, the lump was almost gone. And I went to bed.

The Neon Pig

Last night we had to turn the AC off because the unit was too loud. We also had to turn off the water to the toilet because it kept refilling every 20 minutes or so. I also had to throw some clothes up against the curtain to block light from coming in underneath. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog. It was almost midnight when I got to bed.
I woke up when Chris got up. Not sure what time it was, but after my alarm. He got dressed and went down to breakfast. I made and ate breakfast in the room. I washed up and got dressed. I accessed the interview from the night before and it played as it should. At least for awhile. Chris came back from breakfast, and tried his email. Then he went to the front desk to report the wi-fi problems and the toilet. When he got back, my interview stopped. I was able to read e-mail but anything with pictures or video was a no-go.
Finally we took our food bag and headed out. We drove to Tombigbee State Park. It was clearly better funded than Tishomingo State Park. And I told the ranger so when we paid admission. She said it was thanks to donations from Toyota of Tupelo. She gave us a map, though it was not complete. We drove where she said to go, but ended up going too far and in the middle of a bike race. We turned around and went back. Chris parked by the restrooms and used it while I sat in the car. Then he drove to the entrance to a trail. I strapped on my fanny pack and we walked the trail around the lake. For part of the way we could hear a Sunday morning service at one of the campsites. We watched fish in the lake. We saw deer cross the path ahead of us. Chris pointed out a pawpaw tree. We saw tiny mushrooms growing here and there. And there were disc golf stations all along the route. But we didn't see anyone playing golf in the woods. Initially my legs hurt from yesterday, but it got better.
When we were done walking, we went to eat at the Neon Pig. It was a restaurant/bar/canned food place. We got a smash burger and a pork belly something. We each had half. They were both very very good. I even ate the bun since it was homemade. The couple next to us loved what they got, too. And we got into a conversation with them. We never did get their names, but they were lots of fun to talk to.
Then we went back to Fulton. This time we went to the Jaime Whitten Center. We drove around looking for a trail and found only lots of campsites. When we found the center, it was 3:30 and they were closing at 4. So we chatted with the ladies at the desk. Then we read the captions under pics on the wall. And finally we headed out before they locked us in.
We went back to our hotel. Chris got ideas, and then we fell asleep. When we got up, it was time for supper. So I dressed for dinner and he put his t-shirt and jeans back on. We walked to a nearby Mexican restaurant for supper. I ordered the chili and salad and took two enzyme supplements. He got the pollo loco, and spoke Spanish to the waiter. The food was very good. I could not finish the salad, so Chris put it in a box along with the extra corn chips. Then we walked back to the hotel.
Chris had trouble getting on the internet so he flipped through the TV channels and started watching a movie called Geostorm. I was trying to get on, too, and ended up watching with him. When it was over, he went to sleep. I brushed and swished. I threaded a needle and sewed a few stitches in Jane's quilt. Then I tried to blog, but the password failed. I woke up Chris and he said to call the front desk. So I dialed 0 and let it ring until it stopped ringing. I guess there's a limit? Then I noticed a button on the phone marked Front Desk. I hit that and let it ring until it stopped ringing. Still no answer. I called the hotel's local number from my phone and let it ring until it stopped ringing. Finally I called the 1-800 number. Even getting to a person that way took a while. She said she would connect me to the local number. That took longer. But finally, a lady answered with no explanation. She said they change their password every Sunday and she gave me the new one. I was so agitated.
I typed in the new password to connect. It was still very slow. I downloaded pics from my phone and typed up my blog post. I let the room get cold before I shut off the AC. Then I turned off the water to the toilet and went to bed.
