First gopher of the year

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30, no RLS. Not sure why. I watered all the plants and took them outside. I washed dishes first, then prepared for Coffee Morning. After dry-brushing, exercising, meditating and tapping, I turned to house-cleaning. I cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen. I mopped the tile floors and vacuumed the carpeted ones. I made up more slippery elm capsules.

I read in the sun for half an hour, then prepared the sauna and took a steam bath. I showered and dried off. I got dressed and ate yogurt. I looked up each of my ferments to see if any were gram-negative. Just one: the akkermansia.

I went to 206 to meet Bobbie. We toured the apartment and discussed what needed to be done. Then we left. I sat in my car and came up with a price. I texted it to Steve. I went to the gym to give Davis an envelop. I talked to Tom for a bit.

I went to the garden to add a 4-faucet splitter. I planted some onion seed, then attached a hose and left the water on. I pulled a few weeds and went home. I made egg salad and ate it outside. Chris came home from work. We chatted a bit. I went outside to meet Steve. He gave me a key to his apartment so I could clean the toilet ring.

I listened to a podcast which seemed to be a book report. I worked on my blog. I went to turn off the water at the garden and check on the cat. The cat was fine, had lots of food and water.

When I got home, I watered the flowerbeds and some gopher holes. The gopher came up for air and never went back down. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then I read Genesis 27 and 28. I read some commentaries on those verses to prepare for Bible Study tomorrow. Then I checked Facebook one last time and got ready for bed.

Making yogurt

Tuesday

I got up before 7:30, having been awakened at dawn by RLS. But at least I didn't have to get up to pee. I brought in the milk and eggs. I could not open the milk. I started on my morning list. I tried again to open it. I texted Michelle to see if she could come over, but she was in town. I put a rubber band around the lid and tried again and again. Eventually I succeeded.

I heated half of the milk and let it cool, then put it in a half gallon jar. I heated the other half and let it cool, then parsed it out to existing ferments. I finished my morning list. I hardboiled a batch of eggs. I cut a watermelon into 4ths, then cubed the red flesh inside and froze it in bags. I also cut up the rind and took it out to the compost. It was a lot of cutting.

I ate fiber gel. I read outside. I made and ate breakfast. I checked on my ferments and turned down the heat. I put cleaning supplies in my car. I went to Saronna's house. She can't play or talk right now, so we sat on her back porch and watched the kids. She had a pad of paper to write what she wanted to say.

At 3, I went to Rod's house to clean. We talked a lot, then I cleaned for 10 minutes and we talked some more. By 5, I was on my way home. I stopped at the garden to turn on the water and got caught by Retreat. I had to run back and forth to get the right water pressure, then I went home.

I ate fiber gel again, then read e-mail. Chris came home from work. He changed clothes and made supper. After supper, I went out to mow here and there. Then I came in, and moved the ferments to the fridge. I worked on my blog. I went to the gym to give Davis his envelop, but he wasn't there. Michelle came by and gave me an envelop for Janet. I talked to Erin, then went to the garden to turn off the water. I proceeded to Casey's house, but he was on his way out. They were going to Saronna's house for a dutch oven treat. So I went home. I read some e-mail, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to read, then went to bed at the usual time.

Cleaning Rod's house

Monday

I got up before 7:30, having woken up early with RLS. So at least I slept most of the night. I went through my morning list. No milk or eggs were delivered. I watered the plants that belong outdoors.

At 9:30 I went to Rod's house to clean. The dog kept whining. I let it outside, but it was windy out and it whined to come back in. It kept wanting to follow me around the house, so I barricaded it into the den. That worked for awhile, then it would push the chairs and come out. So I had to put it back in the cage.

I cleaned the kitchen and the microfiber couch. I dusted. Dale came over before noon to feed the dog and play with it a bit. Then he went back to work. I went home for lunch.

When I came back at 2:30, I got a text from Isadora saying she could not come clean the bathrooms because she had to stay home with her dog. So I soaped up the tubs and sprayed the toilets and put toilet cleaner in the bowls. I cleaned surfaces that were covered in toiletries. Then I cleaned the toilets and vacuumed and mopped the main floors and the bathroom floors.

At 5, I moved all my cleaning stuff to the garage, then to my car. I drove home. I read e-mail for awhile and ate cheese squares. I picked some hymns for Sunday. Chris came home from work. He talked about someone who came to treat the gophers.

I took my good trombone and some yogurt to the chapel. I was so tired I could barely walk. I noticed all the lights were on, so I turned off the ones we don't need for band. Caleb and Jenni and I got started on hymns. Then Keli arrived so we did them again. Then we proceeded to the Broadway book. Elizabeth joined when she got home from work. As we played through songs, we all decided that she on her violin made the best soloist for Adele Vice. At 7, I called it quits. Everyone packed up and left. I had more to do, and then I left too.

I went home, and laid down. Chris put supper in the toaster oven. Later I got up to eat it. I read e-mail and messages. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed, and later so did I.

Setting out the hoses for the fruit trees

Sunday

I got up late. I cleared the sink. I went through the morning list. I made up a weeks worth of supplements. I made cheese squares and read by the infrared light. I took them out of the oven. I read e-mail for a bit, then made and ate breakfast.

I put some cheese squares in a container and went to the chapel.  I forgot to put the snack in the back.  So it was up front with me when I assembled my horn and all through the service.  After the service, the Clarks brought their kids over to tell me that they hope there will be more math mornings.

I went home. I changed clothes and checked messages. I fixed a bowl of yogurts. Saronna and Randy came over. I gave him the hoses, scarfed down some yogurt, and gave Saronna a quart of LRDR. Then we all went over to house #2 to hook up the hoses for the pear tree and the apple tree. From there, I went home to get a better sprinkler head. I went to the garden to hook it up and turn on the water, kinda low. It was very windy as a cold front is coming through.

I went home and finished my yogurt. I made notes for my blog. I brought in my potted plants. Chris cooked supper. I went back to the garden to shut off the water and clear the hose. I came back to play the game, but then Jamie called from Germany so I went in the back to talk to her while the gamers chatted about stuff. It was 1:30 in Germany, so after a while, we hung up so she could go to bed.

Then I joined the others for the game. We intrepid adventurers went out to meet an army of the undead and fought off the skirmish line. Then the game was paused at 8 and we all signed out.

I went over to Michelle's house. Casey showed me how to work with the Indiana Jones game. It was complicated and quirky and touchy and ugg! But I played the game long enough to get the hang of saving it and reloading it. Michelle talked to me about other things like her upcoming trip.

At 10, I exited the game. Casey told me to come back on Tuesday. I went home. Chris had turned on the light for me. He went to bed and I stayed up to work on my blog. I also brought in the outdoor plants because it is supposed to go down to 30F.

Someone new to Project Night!

Saturday

I got up at 7:30, having had RLS. I started my morning list. Chris went to Mass. I ate yogurt and refilled most of the jars with milk. I put them in the dehydrator to cure. When Chris got home, he gave me a massage. I took a shower and got dressed. I reinforced edges of the massage sheet which seems to be shredding in the wash.

I made and ate breakfast. I walked to the swap shop to unlock it and shove some bags inside. I got the mail, ate more, then returned the post hole digger to Self-Help. I went to the garden to hook up a sprinkler head. The head turned out to be in terrible shape. It was not adjustable any more. I pulled some weeds, weedwhacked others, and found some garlic growing. I took two of them home.

When I got home, I watched videos on growing vegetables. Chris brought me a bowl of fish and rice. Michele and John came over late to eat. She had been helping shear sheep. Later I went to the chapel. Victoria came, I greeted her. Then Casey and Cedric came, and finally John and Michele. I cut strips while the others worked on their projects. Then they packed up and left. I packed up, turned off light, locked up, and went home.

I helped Chris fold laundry. We made the bed. I worked on my blog. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Later he went to bed. I read online, then hit the hay as well.

Fixing a flat

Friday

I got up at 7:30. RLS I went through the list, read with the red light, and ate yogurt. At 9 I went to Math Morning. The Clarks were waiting for me. They brought math games. I played a game with the kids and was surprised that it took the entire time.

I went home. I made more breakfast mix. I made and ate breakfast. I made a grocery list, then sat outside in the sun.

Later we went to the commissary. When we got back, Sgt Popken was parked and ready to remove Chris' flat tire. After the tire was removed, I asked about using his outdoor faucet to water the apple and pear trees. He said yes and asked for a hose. So I gave him a hose.

We took the flat tire to Toole. Chris git it fixed while I talked to Melanie about business. When Chris got back, we shopped at Luckeys, and looked for onion sets at Cal-Ranch but they sold out a month ago.

We went home. I read e-mail. A friend picked Chris up for gaming. I took my stakes and went to the garden. I watered it, then used the post hole digger and put the stakes down in as far as I could. I continued to water and weed. Then I washed off the digger and went home.

I put supper in the oven. I read e-mail and messages. I changed clothes and prepared a yogurt cup and tea. I went to game night at Michelle's house. She and Saronna were talking out front. I talked with them, then went inside and talked to Casey until Michelle came in. We played her game called Little Bang Story. Very cute. It was after 11 when I finally quit – hard to stop. She gave me a batch of kombucha that was very vinegary – maybe alcoholic? She also gave me the Venmo cash and a yogurt called Yakult – which has a probiotic for sleep. I drove home carefully and then worked on my blog and took a Moon Drop and went to bed.

Electroculture sticks

Thursday

I got up before 7:30. RLS visited several times during the night. What gives? I went through my morning list which include reading with the red light, practicing and sampling the batches of yogurt. I watered all the plants. I boiled the spoons used for yogurt.

Jenni called about Bible Study, but I told her it was canceled today. I deleted lots of e-mails and read a few. I read articles as well. I went out to do yard work: raking up sticks and tumbleweeds on the other side of the house. I started moving the top of the compost pile so I could use the finished compost underneath.

I ate fiber gel, finished doing something, then made breakfast. I ate while watching The Highwire. Then I worked on the rucksack, covering the patch with one that matched. I went to the post office and swap shop, then dropped the rucksack at the chapel.

I went to Self Help and got a post hole digger. I wanted an edger too, but they didn't have one. When I got home, I painted part of 4 dowels. I stripped aluminum wire, then wrapped the sticks with copper and with aluminum wire.

Chris came home from work. I made and ate supper. I mixed compost with charcoal dirt and potted some tomato plants and petunias. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched TV. Then I watched some video clips. I investigated probiotics for parasites. Then I went to bed.

Picking up tumbleweeds

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30, no RLS. Have I finally beaten it? I got ready for meditation morning with the usual exercises and red light exposure. Then I did four rounds of meditation. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I vacuumed the carpeted rooms. I painted the end of the vacuum wire and left it to dry.

I prepared the steam tent and sweated for 20 minutes. I showered and cleaned up. I wanted to lay down for awhile, but the wind was blowing and I had to put the tumbleweeds in the dumpster that arrived this morning. So I went out and found the wind had blown the tumble weeds back where they came from. Sigh. I started picking them up and my back began to hurt a lot. So I took some curcumin and laid down for a bit, then got up and put on a back brace. I also got a reacher so I wouldn't have to bend down. In spite of the discomfort, I picked up all the tumbleweeds I could find and threw them in the dumpster. I also picked up the pile of sticks and threw them in as well. There were more sticks from the wind blowing the trees, but I'd had enough.

I got my book and read till I finished it. Then I ate 5 kinds of yogurt and made egg salad. Chris came home from work. We talked. Then I went to the post office for mail, and to the gym to return Steve's mended glove. He talked to me for half an hour, then I slipped out. I stopped at the chapel to get a sewing machine cord and I went home.

I plugged the cord into the new machine and put it through its paces. It worked well. Too bad it came without a cord.

I read through my Telegram messages, wishing the print were larger. I worked on my blog. I mowed where I had raked, plus the strip down the street and then the bit of the other side yard that was left from last time.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Michelle stopped by during for the swap shop key to drop off stuff from a neighbor. 15 minutes later, she came back with the key. After the program, I figured up what each person gets paid for cleaning and told Michelle how much goes to Isadora. I iced my arm while reading online. Chris went to bed, and later so did I.

Fixing Popken's rucksack

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30, no RLS. I went through my morning list, then took a steam session. I opened swap shop by request. I read online, then mended Popken's pouch. I ate fiber gel and read out in the sun. I made and ate breakfast.

I went to my 2pm inspection at 1:30 so I could check the house for anything I missed. But two of the inspectors were already there. They went in with me. The younger one found something and I cleaned it up. Everything else was fine. We signed papers and I gave Bobbie the key. We chatted and Jack showed up.

Then I went by the garden to see what the watering options were. Someone had hooked up a 4 spigot head and there was only one spigot left. So I went home and got hoses from my shed. I read a little, then opened the furniture room by request. I proceeded to the garden to hook up to the last open faucet. It took a while to untangle the hoses. Then I discovered that I only needed two so I brought one hose home.

I stopped at the swap shop to lock it, grabbing the tall laundry basket. At home, I replaced the tall box holding mops and brooms. I jotted notes for my blog.

I worked on Popkens rucksack, but I could not get it under the needle. I had to sew by hand. I also checked out the new sewing machine. It has no cord but it makes stitches. Chris came home from work. He put my supper in the toaster oven and his supper in the microwave. I worked on my blog. I ate supper, then mowed till the battery ran down. I raked up sticks into piles. I put all the tumbleweeds in their own pile for disposal tomorrow. I hope there is no wind tomorrow.

I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. He went to bed. I stayed up a little later, then got ready for bed.

Eggs and milk

Monday

I got up before 7:30. No RLS. I brought in the milk and eggs. While heating the milk, I went through my morning list. I cooled down the first half and heated up the second half. I ate all the yogurt in several jars. I washed the jars and put them in the hot oven to sterilize. I started some new batches of yogurt and put them in the dehydrator.

I went to the library to return a book and check out two more, one of which I might have read two decades ago. I chatted with the librarians and other patrons, then came home.

I ate fiber gel, then sunbathed outside. Afterward, I made and ate breakfast. I put on a video of a man playing a steel drum-like instrument. Very soothing. I read my book and kept nodding off. Later I made tea to feed the scoby.

I hardboiled several batches of eggs. I poured all the pickling juices together, then heated it and added salt and vinegar. I poured it back into the jars and added peeled eggs. I made more laundry detergent. I picked hymns for next Sunday. I prepared a jar of yogurt for Keli.

After more fiber gel, I went to band. Keli showed up and I gave her yogurt. We played through the hymns. Sophia came late and played along. We went through 3 songs in the Broadway book, then played through some stuff we brought from home.

After band, I came home to eat supper. I mowed until the light got low. Then I posted to my blog and made tea. We watched the last episode of season 9. We both retired to our laptops. After awhile Chris went to bed. Later, so did I.

Mother's Day

Sunday

I got up at 8. Chris was already up. Apparently he can't sleep on the meds. I followed the morning list except for practicing and exercising. I read by the red light. I used it on my foot. I found a card from Chris on my laptop. I posted to Facebook for Mother's Day. I washed all my yogurt spoons and some other dishes besides. I sifted through the sprouts to take out the seeds that hadn't sprouted yet. I ate several yogurts.

I ate fiber gel, then laid in the sun and finished my book. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I threw some shower bombs in a drawstring sack I had made months ago. I took cheese squares and went to the chapel.

Chapel was sparsely attended. I handed out shower bombs to those women who came. The chaplain handed out flowers to us women as well. He gave the sermon. Afterward, we played hymns (apparently the same ones as last week). Then we had communion. We few talked a bit. Keli picked up the flowers from self-help and we split them up. Keli carried them to my car for me. John gave me fabric from Tina.

I went to the gym to turn on the sauna. I got in a conversation with Steve, and then Davis walked in. I went home to change clothes. I put the flowers in water. I tried to go through all the videos that Faye sent. I went to the sauna to meet Michelle. Jenni got a better offer so she didn't come. Michelle and I talked for an hour or more. I showered off and got dressed. We walked out together.

I went home and ate fiber gel. Chris had supper ready. We signed into Discord for the game. While waiting for John, Chris called Cecily to wish her a happy day.  Then we intrepid explorers entered a haunted house, explored it, reunited the mother ghost and daughter ghost, then turned it into a bed and breakfast.

After the game, I went to the school to meet Jenni. Michele and John came as well. We all walked around the school block – about a mile. Then we went our own way.

Chris was binge watching Lucifer. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched Criminal Minds with ice pack.. I cleared e-mail and went through my bedtime list. Then I went to bed.

My foot is not a weed

Saturday

I got up at 8. I think taking the Somna so late made it harder to get up in the morning. Chris was sleeping on the couch. I followed the morning list except for practicing. I read with the red light for too long. I put the book down when Chris got up at 10. He made coffee and breakfast. I watched a long video on growing tomatoes.

It was 11:30 till we commenced with the massage. Then I ate fiber gel and read outside. I made breakfast and ate it. I took a shower and put on shorts. I walked to the swap shop to open it for someone. When I got back, I ate some hard boiled eggs.

Later I went to the swap shop to drop off stuff and to lock it. Then I went to 624 to trim the lawn. I accidentally trimmed my foot to begin with. But it didn't bleed. I used the corded trimmer and then it mysteriously quit. So I put more string on the spool and inserted it in the cordless trimmer. Then I finished the job. I threw out some stuff in the garage, and pulled out all my cleaning supplies.

I stopped at Saronna's house to drop off two things, then I went home. I read about electroculture while Chris cooked meatloaf. I also trimmed the yard and planted one of the tomato cuttings.

Michele and John came over at 6, tired from RenFaire. She was dressed in one of her Renaissance dresses. We sat and had dinner. She gave me a card for Mother's Day. We talked a little bit, but then I had to gather my things and go to the chapel.

I unlocked the doors to the chapel. I was alone so I went out to pull weeds from the stone beds. Then Casey arrived. So I went in with him and we talked until I heard voices. The Clark kids were arriving.

When they were all here, the father got out a sewing machine to repair some sleeping bags. I taught Rhythm class to the 3 older ones. Then I dismissed them. I took Wilhelm out to help me weed and we talked. Then his father finished and came out to collect his kids. I went in and talked to Casey about the yogurt sample. He packed up and left. I checked the bathrooms and turned out the lights before I left.

When I got home, I made tea and we watched Criminal Minds. I tied some ice to my arm. Later we made the bed with washed sheets. I took Somna and worked on my blog. Then I got ready for bed.

Chris goes to the oral surgeon

Friday

I took Somna last night, no RLS but I woke up before 7. I got up to follow the morning list. There was no Math Morning because the kids aren't getting assignments anymore. When I went to school, we had lessons every day but the very last day. Is school a joke now?

I read e-mail till Michele came to pick up Chris to take him to the oral surgeon. Then I prepared the steam tent and sweated for 20 minutes. I read outside for awhile, then ate fiber gel and made up supplements for the week. Then I made and ate breakfast. I posted pics of what was left in the garage.

About 2, I looked at the grocery list and texted Chris. I went to the commissary and picked up what was on the list plus what he texted me. I took the food home and put away the cold things.

I went to the house to finish the floors and kitchen counter tops. John came over and moved the remaining furniture into the garage. Then I went home for the weed whacker. Chris was home and he showed me how to use it. But when I got back to the house, I discovered that there was no string in it.

I puttered around until Casey came over to look through. He wasn't wanting anything, but he said he would come back and sort the stuff worth keeping from the stuff worth throwing out. So I scrubbed at oil spots on the garage floor till Saronna came over to get the vacuum. Randy brought his mower as I requested, but instead of me mowing, he did it. Then he went home and got some string for my trimmer. But when he opened it, the 'bobbin' was missing. Oh well.

They went home. Casey stayed to help me throw out some boxes of stuff. Then I closed the garage and we each went home.

I ate fiber gel and made egg salad for supper since the leftovers were gone. I looked for the bobbin of trimmer string in the shed and couldn't find one. I read e-mail for awhile and posted to my blog. I mowed the front yard till 8:30.

Then I got ready for Game Night by putting some greens in a baggie for Michelle and filling a bottle with tea. So I got there late. They were busy but Casey put up Indiana Jones and I tried again, but fell off the mountain. Again. So then Michelle showed me a game she likes to play and I thought it was really cute. I played through the first level with a little help from her. She says she plays it multiple times a day while she subs.

We talked about yogurt and I promised her a sample. I went home and took Somna. I read a little bit online to give it time to dissolve. Then I went to bed.

Passing out the leftovers

Thursday

I got up before 7, no RLS. I made breakfast mix, then completed the morning list. I washed spoons. then took yogurt samples. I added milk to the remaining yogurt. I read with the red light.

I took my Bible bag and went to post office but they were closed. I went home to eat some yogurt and fill a water bottle. I threw Casey's trap in the car. I went to the chapel to unlock it, then ran back to the post office to mail the letter.

I returned to the chapel for Bible study. Afterwards, I passed out yogurt cups. I went to Self Help to get flowers. I took them and the remaining yogurt home. I went to the spouse's appreciation event. We colored coasters and small notebooks.

I went home, ate fiber gel, and read outside. I made breakfast, ate while watching The Highwire.

At 2, I went to clean. I went through the stuff in garage. Revonna came over for furniture but stayed to talk. Steve came over and got the ramps. Popken came over and picked up the air fryer and crock pot. I cleaned from 3:30 to 6.

I went home for supper. Alfred called and we talked to him for awhile. I ate supper, then mowed in side yard. I changed clothes and we went to the Star Party. There was an over-my-head discussion of black holes and the time-space grid. Then we went outside to look through telescopes that were set up by guys from the university. It was very interesting. I talked to Randy and we decided that there was no reason for Math Morning tomorrow.

We came home after 10. I read e-mail then wrote my blog post. Eventually I watered the plants and went to bed.

Lawn needed mowing - but it's just dandelion heads

Wednesday

I got up before 7:30, having slept pretty well. I prepared for coffee morning and meditation. After all that, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I read outside for half an hour, then steamed for 20 minutes. I took a shower and got dressed. I ate some yogurt. I checked e-mail and saw one from Housing warning us that our lawn needed mowing.

I went to 624 to clean. Michelle came over with the cleaning kit and Isadora came pushing a lawn mower. Michelle talked to me for some time. I promised to send her a screen shot of a Facebook post that I read. She left and Isadora and I cleaned. When she finished the bathrooms, I hoped she would mow. But she changed her mind. She walked home with her mower and later I dropped off her cleaning kit.

I heated up supper. After eating, I mowed until the mower battery ran down. I hooked the battery up to recharge. I read e-mail, then worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I tried to look up how to make a 'fence' with stakes wrapped in copper and zinc, but I got no relevant hits. I went to bed.

Fermenting a new strain of yogurt

Tuesday

I got up about 7:30. The Somna didn't work. I woke up twice to use the bathroom. I heard Reveille and Chris taking a shower.

I brought in the eggs and milk from the front porch. I started heating half in a pot and went through my morning list. When the milk reached 180, I turned the heat off. I read by the red light. I poured at least half in the yogurt maker jar and set it for 24 hours. It contained the new reuteri and crispatus strains. I added some to the other ferments. I heated the second half of the milk. I washed jars and heated them in the oven.

By 10:30 I was at a good stopping point. I headed out to clean. I worked on the fridge and on cabinets. Wendy and Dale came over to pick through the garage and kitchen. They left about noon. I left soon after for breakfast.

I stopped at the post office and picked up the mail. I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. I added more milk to the ferments and washed more jars. I strained the LAB and put the solids in a bowl. I took my trombone and went to Saronna's house. Michelle was there so the three of us talked through the whole session and then some.

Finally, I went back to the house on Coyote. I resumed working in the kitchen. John came over and cleaned high shelves, door frames, etc. He would have done fans, but there weren't any. He and I carried the furniture down from upstairs. Then he left.

I continued to clean. Then Isadora showed up about 5. She cleaned the downstairs bathroom in record time and found a box of stuff in the Harry Potter room. I vacuumed baseboards and behind drawers. I cleaned a window. By 6 we were both tired. I took her home.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel. I put supper in the toaster oven. I mowed the back yard. I ate supper and watched a video clip. I moved the ferments to the dehydrator. I poked into some gopher tunnels and dropped in some moth balls. Then I washed my hands.

I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I cleared e-mail and went to bed.

Let the give-away begin!

Monday

I woke up before 7:30, having slept through everything. Even the usual bathroom run. I did some Sudoku, then followed my morning list. There were no eggs or milk by my front door. I ate yogurt, then went to Steve's apartment to shampoo his carpet. First I vacuumed then I shampooed the first room. Then I did the same to the second room. He left a stack of 20's and a glove that needed fixing. I took $40 and the glove. I moved all my cleaning stuff to my car and took it home.

I laid in the sun, then made and ate breakfast. Before 2, I went to 212 for inspection. It passed. I had to tell them about the broken glass shelf and I offered to pay for it. Afterward, I unlocked the swap shop. Then I came back to bag up the router and leave it hanging on the door knob.

I went to the house on Coyote. It was a complete mess. Steve came over and hauled off bags of trash while I swept and filled more bags. There was a sewing machine in a box. He put it in my car. Then he took a few things and left. Michele texted me that her co-worker needed a bookcase. I took a pic of the one left behind. The co-worker came to get the bookcase and found a few other things as well. I made a bag of things I wanted and put them in my car. I cleaned behind the stove and fridge, then started cleaning cabinets.

Saronna and Randy came over. I took them in the kitchen to see what was left. She filled some bags with food and such. I took him in the garage to go through what was left. He found lots of stuff, including a plasma battery for his truck.

I noticed it was after 5 and I had to go home to get ready for band. I told them to close the garage door when they left. I went home to have a bite to eat and to rest. Then I went to the chapel for band. It was just Keli and Caleb and I. So we practiced the two hymns, then played fun stuff.

I came home. I asked Jenni why she didn't come to band. She said her back was overworked. So I ran over there with a cumin supplement for inflammation. We chatted and I came home. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I read online for awhile before going to bed.

A quick preview of the house to clean

Sunday

I got up at 8, having had a light case of RLS during the night. I followed my morning list. Chris gave me a massage, then I took a shower and he took his. I read e-mail and other messages. I laid out in the sun. I came in and made breakfast. After eating, I got dressed for church. I took cheese squares and headed out.

When I got to the chapel, I left the cheese squares in the back and assembled my trombone up front. Attendance was minimal, but other people must have come in during the praise songs. We had a supply chaplain and he gave a sermon that was a lot like a college lecture. Then Keli and I went up front to play two hymns.

After the service, Aisha asked me about cleaning because she is now on the cleaning list. So I gave her my best advice. Then they left and I talked to John all the while grabbing my cheese squares and walking out of the church. John locked it. We said goodbye to the chaplain, talked a little longer, then parted.

I went home and changed clothes. I ate some nuts and dried fruit. I packed cleaning supplies and went to the new house. I opened it with the key, then walked around to open the garage door and bring in my cleaning supplies. The house was a complete mess. Toilets were all brown under the water line. Bags of garbage everywhere and stuff that should go to the swap shop. Too bad I didn't have time to go through it. I wondered if I should ask Aisha to work with me so she could get some experience.

I went to the gym, but had to park elsewhere because the parking lot was closed. It was quite a walk to the back door. I went in and got settled in the sauna. Michelle came in about 5 or 10 minutes later. We talked about things bothering me and things bothering her. She didn't think I should hire Aisha. Then we got out. I rinsed off and got dressed. We walked out together. Then I went home.

I hung up my wet stuff. I signed into Discord for the game. Chris had heated mushrooms and also some chicken and cabbage. I talked to the others as I ate, and we started the game.

As per my request last week, there was a haunted house. We went to the local tavern, bought them all drinks, and asked for ghost stories. Thus we learned the history. Then next morning, we had a guide and went to the house and eventually walked inside.

Then the game was over. I worked on my blog, made tea and we watched TV. We made the bed with freshly washed sheets. I watered the plants, inside and out. I took a bit of a new supplement called Somne. It comes in troche form. I also took a Moon drop. I read e-mail and was about to go to bed when I realized I hadn't entered my volunteer hours. So I went through my April blog posts and recorded my hours, then entered them in the VMIS website. I ate a bite of yogurt and went to bed.

Sewing class: hanging towels for Mother's Day

Saturday

I got up hearing Chris scramble to shower, dress and leave for Mass. No RLS during the night. I went through the morning list. Chris came home from Mass. I got ready and went to the 3-D printing class. It was very interesting as usual. Sadly it is the last one. Dale gave me keys to a house that needs cleaning.

Afterward, I stopped at the post office for mail. When I got home, I checked Facebook and someone messaged me asking to get into the swap shop. Since it was a nice day, I walked down there to open it.

I ate fiber gel and read outside. I came in to make and eat breakfast. I read online. I asked Chris to move the thrift shop embroidery machine to my car. I headed to sewing class at 2.

Saronna and Sophia were waiting. Sophia carried the machine in to the fellowship hall for me. Then she called her brothers and sister. Wendy came and she helped the kids sew the project. Jedediah did not express an interest in sewing. When the kids finished their hanging towels, they could finish the grocery totes from last time. But Moira had to take Jedediah home. Sophia was too far behind and Wilhelm was not getting much done as he could have. At 4, they packed up and went home. I left the stuff out for Project Night.

I went home and went through some e-mail. I made tea for the scoby. I read a book outside in the grass for longer than I planned. I came in to have supper which Chris had cooked for the four of us. Michele and John came late to have Pollo Loco and rice and mushrooms and a dish of onions and figs. We chatted as we ate.

Then I put on shoes and went to the chapel for Project Night. I took my trombone and music inside, then went back to my car just as Casey arrived. He held the fort while I dropped by the post office to lock up the swap shop. I came back and we sat and talked for 90 minutes. No one else came. Then I packed up while Casey took the embroidery machine back to my car.

When I got home, Chris brought the machine back inside. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to handle e-mail.

Unsatisfying Game Night

Friday

I got up around 8, having had a light case of RLS. I went through my morning list. Chris left for the dentist. I read a book under the red light. I checked e-mail, then prepared the steam tent. After steaming, I showered and put on some DMSO. I laid out in the sun for 20 minutes. Then I came in, ate fiber gel and read online.

Chris came home from the dentist. I made a grocery list and we went to the commissary. I got some tea towels for tomorrow's project. I made and ate breakfast.

Chris put the carpet shampooer in my trunk. I drove us to the apartment building. He carried it up to the second floor. I showed him the quickest way out of the building and he walked home. I started shampooing the dirtiest side of the apartment. John showed up after 2. He moved furniture to one side and then the other so I could vacuum and shampoo. He did both rooms. Then he left and I went over a few spots not covered by furniture.

I took a short break, then texted Steve about shampooing his carpet since he is right across the hall. I also texted the owner of this apartment about a few things.

Then I packed up the stuff I was done with and carried it downstairs. I went home.

I heated supper in the toaster oven while I caught up on e-mail. I calculated my cleaning hours and computed the price. I talked with Michelle. I sent her Venmo to the apartment owner and he paid her that way. She promised to pay me.

I sewed tomorrow's project, took pics and posted for the class. I worked on my blog. I put some cheese squares in a container for Michelle. I looked up keyboard shortcuts for the Indiana Jones game. I also took notes for the Lighthouse game. Then I went to Michelles house for game night.

I arrived about 9. I worked on Indiana Jones and got further than before because I knew which keys to use. But the game crashed again. So then I switched to The Lighthouse. Sadly I was unable to get the sub to move, and it was almost 11, so I quit. However, with all the conversation, it was after 11:30 till I got home. Then I got ready for bed.

Michele plays therpist

Thursday.

I got up after 8. No RLS, but I had a sore throat. I sipped vitamin C while I made supplements for the week and took the morning dose. I got dressed and went to open the chapel for Bible study. Bryce had already opened it. I hunted up the tickets for Dulce. Then I told them that I couldn't stay because of my sore throat.

When I got home, I opened the box that came yesterday. It had replacement figs. But those bags were inflated as well. I read with red light on my chest, then checked e-mail. I ate fiber gel, then read outside. I came in at noon to make breakfast and watch The Highwire.

At 2:30, I went to the post office and unlocked the swap shop. I proceeded to the apartment and cleaned up broken glass, then went on to clean furniture and windows and finish the fridge. I called to set up an inspection for Monday. I quit at 5:30.

I went home for supper. Michele and John came over to return a suitcase. Michele brought flan. It was very good. I added cinnamon to mine and Chris put the coffee syrup on his. They went through the movies that Rod gave me and picked out a bagful. Then Michele wanted to play couples therapist so I came up with something to start and we discussed interactions until almost 10.

They went home and I worked on my blog. It was too late for TV. We read on our laptops for awhile, then went to bed.
