Sympathy notes

I got up at 7:45. I brushed and swished. I chose fabric, then prepared and packed a project for tomorrow. I took supplements. I cut strips of yellow netting so I could put the roll away. I listened to a video on gut health but did not learn anything new.
I called Dad. He sounded pretty good at first. He told me he slipped out of bed in the middle of the night and could not get Patrick's attention. So after a while he crawled into the bathroom and pulled himself up at the toilet. He said his caregiver came this morning and told him her little boy was in the hospital. She told him to go back to bed and she left. When he talked to me, he was neither dressed nor fed.
I took protein supplements, waited to take the vit C. I washed some bowls and glass jars, and soaked the sprouts. Then I swallowed the fat-soluble supplements and colostrum. I read some e-mail, and then had breakfast. I spent time composing two sympathy notes. My handwriting wasn't great, so I printed them out. I texted back and forth with Kurt.
I called Dad again. He said he spent half an hour walking up and down the driveway since there was no one to take him for a walk. He said he left a message for Faye to call me. And she did, so I hung up with him. Faye was on her way to his house. I told her everything he had told me this morning. I offered to make a donation for her.
After the call, I went for a walk. I missed Chris' call from the airport. I turned on the wi-fi, and went to post office. I didn't find much there. When I got back, I tried to imagine a way to add a band to Chris' costume without adding bulk. Chris came home, and unpacked. He got on his laptop. I looked for an online option to donate to a charity, but they only gave an address. I called Faye to tell her.
For supper, I heated up bean soup and yucca. I made a salad, and had a little bit of fermented coconut milk. I looked online for MMST silica. We watched “Social Network” , courtesy of Netflix. It was the story of Mark Zuckerburg building Facebook. Afterward, I helped Chris pick stuff to add to our queue. I took supplements again. I posted to my blog and got ready for bed.

Eating in

I got up around 8, having dreamt about being. I followed my usual morning routine. I sewed seam binding on the shoulders of Chris' costume and finished off the side seams to stop the fraying. At 11:30 I made breakfast. I got dressed and was ready to go to quilting when William called, probably at a thrift store. After the call, I went to quilting, arriving late because there was a lane blocked on Bob Wallace. I set up my machine by Leanne. She showed me more butterflies that she had embroidered. I finished quilting some placemats. I talked to the others. We packed up at 2. I stopped at the store for sympathy cards, and bought a stack for now and in the future.
When I got home, I went for a walk in the sun. I followed the old dirt road, but turned around when I saw two vans parked at the end. I wondered what were they doing that they needed to park in such a secluded spot. When I got home, I sat outside and read, answering texts from two people at the same time.
At quarter of 5, I figured Stacy wasn't going to invite me for supper after all. So I ate supper while reading e-mail. I ate ham and bean soup and a can of tomato soup, and little bit of yogurt. I listened to a podcast on mold and fell asleep. I woke up at 6:30. I read e-mail until 7, then tapped with Nell on her issue. With general conversation, it went until 9. I called Chris, then watched one episode of Royal Pains while using the massage ball. I did a tapping audio on grief, then clipped my fingernails. I took my last supplement, and wrote my blog post. I submitted a complaint to BlogSpot because the PREVIEW button doesn't work. In the process I had to move Blogger from Waterfox to Edge. Now the PREVIEW button works. Sigh.
Now it's time for bed.
* I sewed one more row on this today. *

What's growing in your yogurt?

I shut off my alarm at 7:30 and stayed in bed until 8. I brushed and swished, twice. I checked messages. I finished drawing flying geese with EQ4 and printed them out. The size was spot on! I finalized a Swansons order. I soaked seeds for the next round of sprouts. I made coffee and did my lymph-moving exercises. I did lots of tapping and crying. Then I started cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen.
I talked to William. He told me that no caregiver came today to watch Dad. Dad says she spends time sitting in her car and talking on her phone instead of being in the house with him. That sounded bad.
I took a shower and got dressed. I called the church's florist to upgrade the flowers for Sunday. I vacuumed, and emptied the dust cup. I poured boiling water and baking soda on my comb in case there are mold spores on it. There wasn't time for breakfast so I ate a few seed crackers, then drove to the Korean clinic.
They were helping a patient. The bank was still garnishing their income. I looked into contacting IRS. Their website discourages phone calls and encourages using their automated system. Then Faye called. I talked to her until the patient and spouse came out front. He talked to me while she talked to Dr. Grace. I was finally able to set up an account with the IRS, but it didn't help. Dr. Grace tried to give me tea and more kimchi for coming, but I can't drink all the tea they have given me.
On the way home, I stopped at the post office. When I got home, I checked the house mail. I got similar junk mail in each place. Lucky me. I read messages. I searched the desktop and found pics of David that I could send to Gwenda. I read e-mail. I got a text from Stacy inviting me to go to choir practice with her. I ate bean soup, ham, and fermented yogurt for supper. I should have made breakfast, but totally forgot.
I put some yogurt in a jar for Jennifer. I am not sure which microbes are growing in it at this point, but she asked for it on Sunday, and it hasn't made me sick. I bundled up and went over to Stacey's house. We talked about grief on the way to choir practice. I gave the jar to Jennifer. I noticed the extremely shiny piano that took the place of the grand piano. We sang through the usual songs. Then we came home. Her car has heated seats so we sat and talked. Then I got out and went in my house. I called Chris and we talked. He was working on a presentation and had little to say. So I kept it short. Then I watched two episodes of Royal Pains while using the massage ball. Afterward, I took my supplements, wrote my blog post and went to bed.
* This might be the last time I saw David. *

At least it was only two weeks

After I went to bed last night, I heard that particular ringing in my ear that I associate with the router. I hadn't turned it off because the signal was shut down, which should have been enough. I got up anyway and turned off the power, then there was no more of that ringing. I had trouble sleeping of course due to thinking about David and his family.
I shut off my alarm at 7:30. I brushed and swished. I turned on the power to the router. I washed dishes. I sterilized a jar and poured fermented coconut milk into it. The rest went into the fridge. I woke up my laptop and checked for a signal. I also checked with my phone. They identified no wi-fi signal from our router.
Chris sent me an e-mail telling me to check my driver's license because his was expiring on Saturday. So I did, and mine expired two weeks go. Hmm. I did a search on renewing, and was able to do it online, for a fee, and print out a 30day permit. For the price of the fee, you'd think they could mail me a renewal form before the expiration date.
I got dressed and went to quilting. I dropped off two bags of scraps for dog beds. The class was making folded fabric ornaments. I joined in. It went slowly enough that I was able to do some whip-stitching on another project as well. I brought some themed fabric for Beverly and she cut some squares to make little sewn letters for her granddaughter to play with.
When I got home, I finished taking pre-breakfast mixes. I made up more greens mix. I fixed my breakfast, then ate it outside to enjoy the sunshine. I ate some bean soup as well. Then I went to the church as usual.
There was a big truck in the back which came to get the grand piano. The owner wanted it back. I secluded myself in the church office. The treasurer came by with his records. We talked and I gave him the check request form. After he left, I entered info into the computer, then signed up to sponsor the altar flowers this Sunday in memory of David.
I went to the bank to deposit the funds. When I got home, I checked messages, then went for a walk. Because it was so sunny, I also read outside until I got chilly. Then I made a large salad for supper, and also hardboiled a bunch of eggs. I ate two of them. I top-stitched some towels, and did some quilting. I searched for purple seam binding, but was unable to find my stash. I looked for matching fabric for another project.
At 8 I started watching Royal Pains. Chris called, and we talked but did not have much to say. I finished that episode and watched another. I got a message from my cousin about the funeral. I texted it to Faye and William, and e-mailed it to Kurt. It was too late to call anybody.

Shocking and sad

I got up at 8:30. I didn't realize it was so late until I heard the alarm ring. I guess I slept in after waking in the middle of the night when Chris took his shower and went to meet his plane. I brushed and swished. I looked for instructions on how to turn off our wi-fi signal. I wrestled with it for 10 minutes on the new laptop with no success, but found it in seconds on the old laptop. I turned off the signal and hardwired the new laptop to the modem. Chris texted me from some airport asking if I would like to go to Costa Rica in March to look for property to buy. I thought it was just cold weather talk, but he was serious.
I looked up the miracle mold detox for Elaine, but had trouble finding it. I renewed my library book. I located the detox and sent it to her. I got a message from my dentist wanting to confirm an appointment. I had to turn on my data for that and got a message from Gwenda. So I called her. She told me her brother David (my cousin) had passed away this morning. He had not been sick. It was quite a shock to me so I could only imagine the shock to his wife, children, and siblings. I sent messages to Faye and Kurt. I called William and told him. I called Dad but got no answer.
I made and ate breakfast, then got dressed. I threw something in my rolling caddy and went to quilting. I cried on the way, but tried to compose myself before I went in.
I handed out blocks to those who were doing the block swap, letting them know that I did not want any blocks in return. Carolyn gave me a jelly roll for the next charity quilt. I worked on a set of towels, then helped Rachel with her blocks. I stayed until 4.
Then I packed up and went to post office, and then home. I took a walk in what was left of the sunshine. I thought about my cousin's family and what they must be going through. When I got back, I had supper, consisting of nuts, bean soup, and ham. Chris texted that he was waiting for a plane to take him to Yuma. He was supposed to be there much earlier but due to fog, got re-routed and won't get in until midnight.
I signed into Gmail on the old computer since it is also hardwired to the modem. But Google would not accept the password, which I had written down. So I had to change it again, to another form of Google-is-a-butthead.
I read condolence messages about David on Facebook. It was heart-breaking, but it showed just how well-loved he was. I watched two episodes of Royal Pains, during which I looked through the dog bed scraps, and used my massage ball on my shoulders. Then I made up a new batch of liver push supplements for taking at night. I took one dose. I wrote my blog post while waiting 30 minutes to take the binding agents. Then I got ready for bed.
* Thanks to Kenneth Fox for posting this picture of David. *

Who we are

I got up at 7:30 when my alarm went off. I turned on the router and laid down again, but not for long. I got up and took a shower. I got dressed and read some e-mail. I selected some themed fabric for Tuesday. I drank my protein supplement, then I went to church.
I warmed up with the choir. I talked to the couple behind me. Don sat beside me. I gave him an envelop for his offering. Then the service started. When the choir sang, I told myself this is the last time I sing this song. I did not like the words.
After the service, I took Don's envelop to the offering plate. I put all the envelops in a bigger envelop and put that in the safe. I joined the others who were enjoying strawberry shortcake in honor of the interim pastor's retirement from the army. Lars read his list of accomplishments and awards. It was quite lengthy. Then we had a meeting to review the results of the visionary team: who we think we are and what we feel God is calling us to do and what kind of pastor we should look for. It was interesting and the pastor made sure it was over in an hour. I found myself talking to others afterward. Jim showed me the proper form to get bills paid. I promised to have it filled out by Tuesday.
I went home using the freeway. I had worn pants so I did not have to change my clothes. I took Vitamin C and the fat-soluble supplements. Then we went to Publix for groceries. Chris did not need any because he is going TDY tomorrow.
When we got back, we put away the groceries. Chris made his lunch and I made my breakfast. I also had some bean and ham soup which had been on the stove all morning. I read e-mail. I wrote a check to the historical society that is going to fix up the Reber cemetary. I called Faye and talked to Dad. He is making a lot of progress physically, and some cognitively. I went for a walk uphill. It was cold, so I ran part of the way. I was so happy that I was able to run.
When I got back, I played Solitaire while listening to a podcast. I changed out the can of coconut water that I keep by my bedside. I washed off all the cans we bought today. Chris packed for his trip. I made a large salad for supper and ate it at the desktop looking for flying geese paper, and then trying to construct such using EQ4.
When Chris was ready, we watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. It is a very emotional show. Chris handled a few last minute details and went to bed. I stayed up to write to my blog, and then got ready for bed.

Hats and boots

I got up to shut off my phone at 7:30. I think I went back to bed, but got up soon anyway. I brushed and swished. I sipped green tea while cutting strips for blocks. When everything was cut, I sewed 4 blocks together. I took a break for supplements and pre-breakfast mixes, and to write my blog post for yesterday. Then I finished the rest of the blocks, for a total of 20.
I made and ate breakfast while listening to podcasts or something. When Chris was ready, we got in his car and went to Cavender's. He wanted a cowboy hat for his costume. I helped him pick one out. I was surprised at the price. Then we headed to Jo-Anns, getting off course twice. He and I walked through the special fabrics section. I picked two possibilities and got in line. It was going to be a long wait, so he walked to Earth Fare to get beans for bean soup. When I finally got the fabric cut, I went to the seam binding section and got two packets of matching binding. I stood in line to pay for it. I did not have my phone to show the 20% coupon, but the cashier gave me the discount anyway.
When I walked to the car, Chris was not there, so I headed to Earth Fare and met him coming back. He couldn't find a bag of mixed beans so he bought individual bags of beans. Then we went home.
I took my mid-afternoon supplements, and went for a walk. It took a little longer than I had planned. Soon after I got back, Michele called Chris. I got to talk to her as well. I sent her a pic of Chris' costume in progress and she liked it.
Then it was time for supper. I ate pulled pork, celery, and the rest of the sprouts. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers. Then I looked up Mongolian king images on the internet. I wanted to see how the belts or sashes looked in the back. But there were no pics of that. Then I watched several short videos on attaching thick trim.
We watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. While we were watching, Chris put polish on his boots (that he bought in college and planned to wear with his costume). The odor bothered my nose. He tried using one of my inserts because the inner sole was worn through, but could not get his foot inside.
Afterward, I took the detoxing herbs, and helped Chris put clean sheets on the bed. Then I wrote my blog post. Finally, I took the binders and got ready for bed.

Blocks

When I got up, my head was itching. So I applied the tea tree oil and vodka mix. I had to hold my head sideways so I went back to bed and laid on my left side until it soaked in. While I laid there, I did the math in my head for a block I had seen online. Afterward, I got up again, I brushed and swished and all that. Then I got out fabric and played around the elements of the block until I had a plan I was satisfied with. I made one block, then cut a bunch of strips so I could chain-piece lots of them.
I took supplements on schedule. Then I stopped sewing and made breakfast. After breakfast, I sat outside in the sun and read from a library book.
When I came in, I checked my yogurt. It was still runny like coconut milk and I concluded that the inoculant did not have enough live probiotic in it. So I put it back in the yogurt maker and added a capsule of sacchromyces boulardii from the stock that the functional medicine practitioner sold me. I set it to run until tomorrow morning.
I went back to the blocks and finished 9 more while listening to a talk by Ben Greenfield about the book he just published. Then I took a half hour walk around the neighborhood.
Chris was home when I got back. He had two packages from the post office. I opened the first one and found the quilting clips I had ordered. The package was stapled shut which made me think it had been opened and returned. So I took out all the clips and tried each one. They all worked and there were none missing. They aren't as good as the ones I had before, but the other ones haven't shown up in two and a half years.
I made supper, consisting of leftovers from the fridge. I am eating mostly cooked food this week.
I cut some more strips for a second set of blocks. Then we watched one episode of ST:NG. The next episode was marked part one of two. We decided to watch part one. But there was no demarcation between one and two so we inadvertently stayed up late watching an extra episode. I was so tired that I went to bed without posting to my blog.
* Which one would you pick? *

Wasting time

I got up soon after my alarm went off. I brushed and swished, taking the first round of supplements. I read e-mail. One article mentioned a scene from Jane the Virgin which talked about tapping. So I looked it up on IMDB. I read some of the blurbs, but it didn't make sense because I did not know the characters. So I watched the first episode on Netflix. Halfway through the second episode I decided I'd had enough and closed that window. I got dressed, and made breakfast.
It was raining and I didn't want to get my machine wet. So I threw the yellow kimono in a bag and just took it. I went to quilting. There were only a few ladies there because of some retreat that started last night. I finished sewing the front band on the yellow kimono by hand. I conversed with Leanne, Melissa, and Mary. Leanne gave me a free-standing embroidered butterfly that she'd made. It is beautiful.
On the way home, I stopped at the mall, and picked up my watch with a new band. It fit well and I was pleased. When I got home, I noticed the yogurt maker had finished an hour and a half ago. I quickly put the yogurt in the refrigerator. It seemed too runny and I wondered if it didn't work.
I looked through the special fabrics in the guest room and found a piece of gold that might work for Chris' costume. But it had wrinkles as a design element and I did not know quite how to sew it to preserve the wrinkles. I trimmed one edge and used the trimming to audition on the outfit. I still wasn't sure I could make it work.
I had a Pinterest window open for costume pics and I happened to click on puns. From there, I was able to waste a lot of time. I collected puns and sent them to Kurt. Chris came home from work. Around 5 I heated a bowl of onions and garlic and cabbage. When it was hot, I added mashed yucca and some ham. I also had a square of chocolate and some coconut flakes.
I finished the raw edges of the crotch seam in the yellow silk pants. Then I finished raw edges in the yellow kimono. I stopped when Chris told me I had a message on Skype. It was my tapping buddy. We tapped for my inner child before the age of 1.
Afterward, Chris and I watched two episodes of ST:NG. Then I sat down to write my blog post. I brushed my teeth and got ready for bed. Lately I have been doing some yoga stretches just before laying down.

Gotta draw the line somewhere

I woke up thinking about the Dudley song. I got up at 8, and couldn't get it out of my head. The stove was hot because Chris put the pork in to warm up before he went to work. I brushed and swished several times. I soaked my sprouts, which are probably ready to eat. I turned on meditation music. I drybrushed, rebounded, and did lymph-moving exercises. I took supplements for push-catch. I boiled water for coffee, swept the floor, and wrote myself a note to pick up Roz for choir practice.
I spent over an hour meditating and tapping. I cleaned in kitchen until Chris came home and got the pork and went back to work. I cleaned the bathrooms. I listened to Margaret talk about the chakras while I made yogurt and finished the kitchen. Then for some reason the audio failed. I took a shower, got dressed and restarted the computer. I ate ham, and a can of soup.
I went to the Korean clinic at 2. They were happy to see me. He had a number of things for me to work on. He had gotten a notice of failure to file some tax form by the end of the year. I found it online and he printed it out. Then we spent quite some time filling it out. I hope it was right.
I came home with kimchi and onion juice, courtesy of the doctors. I checked gmail and saw that Roz had another ride. I took the mid-afternoon supplement and read e-mail for an hour, then made breakfast for dinner. Chris came home with lots of leftover pork. I collected all the recyclables and took them out to the recycling bin. I had to flatten a lot of boxes to fit in there. I also checked the house mail, but found nothing. It seemed bitterly cold outside, but was not quite freezing. I set the plants out to get rained on tomorrow.
I went to choir. I put the invoice in the treasurer's box. I picked up new music and went to sit with the choir. Jennifer gave me some apple chips and the empty egg box from November. Then choir practice started. We went through all the pieces, then gathered at the front of the church to sing the one for this Sunday. After practice, Lars talked to me about a check that came in dated for December 31, saying we have to draw the line somewhere.
I drove home. I made some magnesium water to sip while watching ST:NG. We watched two episodes. I put tiny silk stitches in Chris' garb while sitting there on the couch. Afterward, I took the push-catch supplements and wrote my blog post.

Show-n-tell

I got up soon after the 7:30 alarm went off. I got dressed, and stood in the sunlight streaming through the blinds in the kitchen. I made up a week's worth of supplements from the functional medicine practitioner. I checked e-mail, and soaked sprouts for 10 minutes. I brushed and swished. I checked out the mold plates, two of which were barely showing anything. The one from the fabric room had a few colonies.
I took the protein supplement, then put my machine in the trunk. I got on the road, but the car had trouble adjusting to the freezing cold. I was both sympathetic and worried. But it was fully warmed up by the time I got to Beverly's house. She showed me shelving in her house that came from her mom and dad.
I drove us to quilting. I set up my machine. Robin gave me a stack of 5” squares, which I sorted into lights and darks. Beverly set up next to me and we both sewed squares together. The electricity went out for a short time. I got 5 rows done and added two from Beverly. Other ladies put out a lunch of mostly breakfast foods. Beverly arranged for another ride home so she could stop at WalMart for groceries.
I went home and was surprised to see Chris there. Apparently he never went to work this morning because he wasn't feeling well, and had moved into the guest room. I took my supplements and pre-breakfast mixes while listening to Margaret Lynch live. After eating breakfast, I cracked open a coconut; something Chris found very amusing.
At 1:45 I went to church. I recorded the offering in the computer and printed reports. I met with Elaine. We did testings and clearings. Then I went to bank to make the deposit. I had to wait quite a while because someone brought in a mountain of change and the teller had to wrap it all.
When I got home, I took the mid-afternoon supplement. I went for a walk, but a short one because of the cold and the wind. Then I read e-mail, and checked my blog for projects done in the last month. I put said items in a bag. I ate supper, and found a new way to go to guild meeting; one that would avoid traffic on Jordan Lane.
When I got to Sew Creative, I parked and went in the back. The meeting hadn't started yet, so I looked through the store, but found no night sky fabric. Then I took a seat in back. Linda asked me to sign in. I did not know we were taking role. But each person who signed in got a pin cushion, a sticker, and a pack of needles. I also had to sign up for show-n-tell: something I had never done before. I chatted until the meeting started. When show-n-tell came, I showed a shuttle block, hanging towel, and placemat. I took pics of the items other people showed.
After the meeting, we had a dirty santa exchange for those who had a gift last month but it got snowed out. Surprisingly the gift I brought (fabric) was stolen twice. That made me feel good. But the gift I unwrapped was not my style or color and did not get stolen. That was a shame because the person who made it put a lot of work and thought into it.
I got home about 8. When Chris was ready, we started watching Dressed to Kill, which was a Netflix movie with Michael Caine. But it was awful. So then we watched two episodes of ST:NG. I took supplements, and wrote to my blog post before taking the last one.

At least the sleeves are finished

It was after 8 when I got up. Chris had just put two pork roasts in the oven. I brushed and swished. I read e-mail. I made pre-breakfast mixes. I consumed them in the wrong order however. Finally I made it to breakfast.
After eating, I threw projects in with the sewing machine and put the machine in my trunk. It was in the 20's outside. Brrr! I stopped at the gas station to fill up. It was cold standing there. Then when I opened the little book to record the mileage, I found that the ink was frozen. So I headed to the church, and held the pen in front of the heat vent. When I got to the church, the pen was working again. I filled out the book, and then got my machine out of the trunk. I left it by the office door, walked to the quilter's entrance to get inside, then went to the office to bring in the machine.
I set up in the back while the ladies finished lunch. I completed several rocket blocks, and the set of squares. Judy told me about her daughter joining the SCA. When others had cleared out, I used the whole cutting table to measure and cut panels for Chris' costume. Then I packed up and went home.
Chris was still roasting the pork. I pieced a gray strip in order to get a few last little squares for the project. The jewelry shop called and said my watch was ready. But I was in the middle of sewing then.
I auditioned parts for decoration on the ends of the sleeves. When the decision was made, I cut strips and sewed them on, using the sausage roll technique I learned from making pillowcases. I frenched the second decorative seam, and sewed the sleeves to the garment. I had Chris try it on for size. The sleeves were a bit short IMO, but there was little I could do at that point.
Chris pulled the pork out of the oven and shredded it. I had a small bowl of it, plus a can of soup and some carrots. I also ate the last of the anti-aging yogurt.
I cut strips for the yellow collar band on the yellow kimono. I made one long strip and sewed one edge to the edge of the garment, then started handsewing the inside edge so it wouldn't show.
We watched two episodes of ST:NG. I kept sewing. Chris boiled eggs for tomorrow. I forced myself to stop sewing and write my blog post.

Working on a golden kimono

Hot flashes kept waking me up last night. But, when morning came, I got cold and kept falling back asleep. I forced myself to get up at 8. I took the first supplement of the day – G.I Detox. Then I brushed and swished. I took my shower while swishing. It was really cold outside so I dressed in black pants and a nice top. I read e-mail for a short time, then did my hair and put in my earrings. I took the protein supplements, then put on my warmest coat and went to church.
After the choir warm-up, there was a concert of sorts starring our organist and her piano-playing friend. It was lovely. We clapped at the end, then Lars made the announcements. Pastor got the service started. For some reason known only to him, he had us meet and greet each other early in the service, then had a passing of the peace later, during which we were to pass only the peace. I didn't get it. Stacey told me that her husband was going to watch 6 hours of football and she asked if she could go walking with me later. After the service, I took Don's envelop up to the offering plates. I collected all the monies and put them in the safe. Pastor was there changing his robe. I told him 6 hours of football would be a punishment for me. He wished there was more football. Then I talked to Lars and Tim about money stuff. Finally I went home.
When I got home, I took the vitamin C, putzed around in the kitchen for 15 minutes, then took the fat-soluble vitamins. I was ready to go shopping but Chris wanted to wait 45 minutes until he had killed the boss. It's a gaming thing. So I fixed breakfast and ate it while reading e-mail.
Finally we went to Publix and got groceries for the week. Chris bought two large pork roasts for work. I helped put the food away. Then the doorbell rang. Stacey was there with my tree all wrapped in it's paper. I put it in the garage and then she and I went walking.
And walk we did. We went around different ways. We checked on wild daffodils and other stuff. By the time we got back to her house, it was 4pm and she was tired. I went home, and got a book to read while sitting outside in the sun. But the sun quickly dropped and I got really cold. So I came in. Chris was cooking ham and cabbage and onions on the stove. I put my hands near it to warm up. He stirfried the bitter melon that soaked in vinegar. I covered mashed yucca with the ham mixture and then added the bitter melon. It was quite reasonable, although at times the bitterness did come through. Then he stirfried the melon that soaked in milk over night. It had all of its original bitterness, so clearly vinegar was the winner. But personally, I thought the ham mixture was great without either.
I surfed pics of garb, looking for ideas for Chris' costume. I decided what to do with the remaining yellow silk, but once I had it cut, it just wasn't quite enough, unless I pieced it. Chris suggested sleeves of a different fabric.
By then it was after 8. We sat down to watch two episodes of ST:NG. Then I made six portions of liver-clearing supplements. (I am trying a new phase to my supplement routine. Thirty minutes before taking the Ultra Binder, I am going to take bitters, milk thistle, etc. ) I set the timer for 30 minutes. I rinsed the sprouts that I started a few days ago. I sat down to write my blog post. When the time was up, I took the G. I. Detox and got ready for bed.

The golden pants

I woke up hearing the 8:30 alarm. Chris gave me a reason to stay in bed until 9. He got on his laptop. I used mine to read about air ozonators, and activated charcoal packs. I followed the new order of my morning supplement routine. Around 11:30 I made and ate breakfast.
After breakfast, I ironed the length of gold silk. I cleared some space on my cutting table. I laid the fabric down. Chris brought me a pair of scrub pants. I put one leg inside the other and then laid it on the fabric and cut around it. I made a second one from the first cut. Then I sewed each leg together, then sewed the crotch. I had Chris try them on. They were tighter than I'd planned. I added a second line of stitching for reinforcement. Then I put in a casing at the top. I found a long shoestring that Grandma had saved. It was perfect. I threaded it through. I also zigzagged the seam allowances. I left the hemming for later. Now if I can convince Chris to spin some story about how his character lost his shirt, I could be done.
It was a cold and rainy day and I never did go for a walk. By the time I was done with the pants, it was 5pm and getting dark. I took the afternoon supplement, then checked e-mail. I called Faye to see how things were going. I talked to Dad who was able to hold a normal conversation. Faye told me her dog died today.
I made a big salad for supper. Then I parsed out two weeks worth of supplements. I set aside empty bottles to be reordered. I almost finished a podcast I was listening to. Then we watched two episodes of ST:NG. I helped Chris dress the bed with clean sheets. I drank some magnesium water, then wrote my blog post. It wasn't quite time to go to bed so I made a supplement order from Swansons.

Beginning the process of creating his costume

I got up at 8 thinking I heard the 8:30 alarm. I brushed and swished. I washed up and got dressed. I spent the morning looking at magnets on Amazon and at the place I bought my really strong ones. But the shipping was more than the magnets at that place, so I stuck with Amazon. I finally found something similar to what Hobby Lobby had, and placed an order.
Then I started looking at kimono patterns to find one appropriate for Chris' costume. After 10, I started the new order of supplements and pre-breakfast mixes. I am trying to separate the fat-soluble ones from the water-soluble ones.
After making and eating breakfast, I looked some more. I had trouble locating patterns for pieces I wanted to make. Some had instructions, but no diagrams. And one was so detailed that I couldn't follow it. I set out three mold plates for retesting. Then I walked for 40 minutes, including walking through the brush looking for wild daffodils.
When I got back, I looked for patterns for hakama pants, which might be Japanese, or Chinese. And might be suitable for his costume, or maybe not. So many decisions to make. As it was sunny, I decided to take a break and sit outside and read for awhile. I was so glad to see the sunshine. When I came in, I found that Chris was home early. He hadn't known I was in the back yard. He put mail on my laptop, but it was nothing I cared about. I read e-mail for a bit and listened to podcasts. At 5, I made a large salad for supper and put chunks of ham on it. It was so satisfying.
After supper, I perused Mongolian images on Pinterest, hoping a fully formed image of Chris' costume would appear in my mind. Their typical deel involved fasteners that I didn't have. So it never quite gelled. I took down Chris' measurements anyway.
We watched two episodes of ST:NG. I asked Chris to look at my thumb because it felt like a splinter was in it. But he saw nothing there. Then I posted to my blog and called it a night.

Chris' new laptop

I got up at 8:30. I brushed and swished. I replied to a message from my massage therapist, agreeing to a 4pm appointment.
I deleted the first round of e-mail. I looked online for a Berkey discount for Jennifer. I did not find one. I cut up some fabric to make a project to work on at quilting. I trimmed threads on a project. I put away the blue and red quilts. Then I started my supplement routine.
I read e-mail, and then made and ate breakfast.
As I was leaving the house with my sewing machine, I found a note from Fedex saying they tried to deliver a package that needed a signature. I wondered how they could have rung the doorbell such that I didn't hear it. There were three options on the slip, detailing how to track my package. But I wanted them to deliver it again. So I called Fedex. I told the man I was leaving, but someone would be here at 4. So he sent the driver a message to come back after 4. Just in case, I turned the slip over and wrote “leave the package” and signed my name. Then I went to quilting.
There were not many ladies at quilting, but then I was a little later than usual. I talked to Pat who was quilting a music-themed item. Then I set up my machine by Leanne. We chatted for some time. Everyone else left but Pat. When she came over to talk, I sewed squares together in 2's, 4's and 8's. At 2pm, I packed up. Soon the other two were ready to go. We made the final adjustments to the room, then left. Pat locked up behind us.
I was home by 2:30. There was a package on the porch. It looked like a laptop. I took it inside and laid it where Chris would find it. Then I went for a walk. It was sunny but cold. I walked up the hill and checked on the daffodils. Some had buds already formed. When I got back, I read e-mail, then left for my massage.
I had thought she'd be running late, but she was on the phone. I sat in the waiting area for less than a minute before she came to get me. We went back to the massage room. I set up the Chi Shield. She thought it was a good idea since the building had a newly installed smart meter. We talked for over half an hour. Finally she left and I got undressed and laid on the table. When she came in, she started at my neck and massaged downward. She remarked on the niacin flush I was having. She spent a lot of time on my left leg. She said people with plantar fasciitis usually have a knot in their calf muscle. She found a large one in mine and worked it thoroughly. She said there was a shin splint starting on the same leg, and it was good to catch it before it got tender.
When the massage was over, I paid her and went home. At home, Chris was not in a good mood. He was on the phone with Mike and doing something with his new laptop. Mike said Kelly had a broken rib, but no clue as to how it happened. I ate the last of the beef ribs, and made a salad. I finished about 7. Then I tapped with and for Nell. Our efforts seemed pretty successful. We were done before 8:30. So I let Chris know I was ready to watch TV. We watched two episodes of ST:NG from the couch. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog.

Success with bitter melon

I had an upsetting dream. This guy I knew from college was able to teleport into my house whenever he wanted. I couldn't get rid of him. I heard my alarm go off at 7:30, but stayed in bed pondering the dream until 8. I got up to brush and swish. I heated water and made coffee. I did my special exercises. I did a lot of tapping on the disturbing elements of the dream. The coffee gave me the energy to clean the bathrooms, and kitchen. I washed some dishes and measuring spoons. I took a shower.
Then I made a list of pre-breakfast supplements and mixes. I decided what the proper order and timing should be and reordered the list. I took them as indicated, then made and ate breakfast.
I went to the Korean clinic at 2. He was having a problem with patient payments going to his account. 24% was missing from each payment. I called the bank. It took awhile to get a person, and then to have the person find the problem. Finally the clerk had me file a form with IRS, who was taking money out of each payment. Dr Lee said he had gotten no notifications from the IRS. Then he had me order an filter for an air purifier. To pay me, he gave me a foot detox bath. There was barely any colored water afterward. Then he put my feet in the foot massager for 15 minutes. I went home at 4.
When I got home, Chris had a package for me from the post office. Supplements. I got the house mail – 2 pieces and not for us. They looked like advertisements so I recycled them. I looked up IRS levies, and the most logical supposition was that he might not have paid SE tax.
Chris changed his clothes. Then I picked up my choir folder and we walked across the street to Stacey's house. They welcomed us into their home. We talked for a bit then sat at the table. Eric came up with a stir fry to show off the bitter melon that I brought yesterday. He had a selection of meats: chicken, beef, and shrimp. He also had two kinds of sauce, both spicy. So he did individual stir frys for each of us, letting us pick the meat and sauce. Mine had bitter melon in it, and Chris tried it as well. Stacey had one piece of bitter melon from my plate. It was so good! You could hardly taste the bitter melon through all the spices. After eating, Stacey and I went to choir practice in her car. Eric gave Chris a ham and the rest of the bitter melons to take home.
Choir practice went well. She and I talked the whole way there, and on the way back. She dropped me off at my house. Chris was on his laptop, but cued up ST:NG when I came in. After one episode, I went to the kitchen to make some magnesium water. I sipped it during the second episode. Afterward, Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog and listen to the rain.

The mystery ingredient

I woke up multiple times during the night being too hot. I finally got up at 7:30 when I heard my phone alarm. I was not sure which alarm it was, so I changed the ring tone on the 8:30 alarm so I could tell the difference. My pendant was missing but the chain was entangled in my nightgown. I got dressed, then found my pendant. My head was itchy so I put a mixture of vodka and EO on my scalp. I had thought the itch was gone, but it has gotten significantly worse. I brushed and swished. I laid out practitioner supplements for the week. Chris left the lid up on the bread machine, indicating that he needed a loaf of bread. So I added all the ingredients and got it started. Then I wrote and posted my blog for yesterday.
At 9:30 I left for quilting, came back for my protein drink, then left again. When I got there, I put several bags of trimmings with the dog bed stuff. Terry was selling a handcrank sewing machine from the 1700's. I knew someone who likes old machines so I took a pic to send her. Then I sat and sewed while listening to the ladies chat. Scraps were thrown on a table for ladies to pick through, so I selected a few to go with the small squares Bertha gave me yesterday. I hung out a while longer, then went home.
I made and ate my pre-breakfast mixes. I sorted through e-mail. I sent a pic of the old machine. Then I made and ate breakfast while listening to a podcast. I boiled water to sanitize some utensils that touched a batch of ferment that went bad. And I washed the dishes in the sink. I made a list of the things I wanted to accomplish on my next trip. There were 5.
First I went to the Asian grocery and picked up a package of bitter melon. Then I went to the $ store to look for an ice scraper. Just after that, I arrived at church where I entered the data in the computer and printed reports. I called Elaine to see if she was meeting me there, but she said her back was out. So then I went to the bank to deposit funds and came home.
I decided to go for a walk. But first I delivered the package of bitter melon to our pastor, who likes cooking contests like Chopped. He was like a kid waiting for Santa, so happy to find out what the mystery ingredient was. Then I continued walking around the neighborhood. Sadly, I walked a little slower than yesterday. When I got home, I greeted Chris. I did some topstitching. I called MaryAnn back, and we had a nice long chat. I ate 2 beef ribs, and made a big salad. I read e-mail for a bit. I looked for my sewing glasses to do some cutting. I didn't find them. Chris showed me some online pics of the costume he would like me to make for him. I searched my fabric closet for silks from the Chosun. I pulled out purples and golds. Then we watched two episodes of ST:NG.
I posted the red and blue quilts to my Pinterest page. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog and take the last supplement.

The watch saga continues

I got up soon after 7:30. I got dressed. I washed dishes while listening to a podcast on detoxing. I only had to restart it once. I deleted the first round of e-mail. I researched a new supplement that was mentioned.
When I had worked my way through supplements and pre-breakfast mixes and was ready to make breakfast, here comes Chris to put beef ribs in the oven. It's funny how we don't spend much time in the kitchen, but we always need the kitchen at the same time. When the ribs were baking, Chris played games on his laptop. I made and ate breakfast while watching tapping videos. Chris went back to work.
At noon, I put my sewing machine in the car and went to quilting. When I got there, I found a seat on the back row. I worked on towels, while talking to Bertha. Lauri held up my red quilt and my blue quilt so I could take pics for my Pinterest page. I told Dinah that I would supervise the next charity quilt.
At 3 I packed up and went to the mall with my watch head and the new watchband. I sat at Hobbs Jewelry for half an hour while the lady struggled to get the band on. Finally she said it wouldn't fit: the watch was 9mm and the band lug was 9.03mm. I had looked at watches in the display case. There was one I liked, but I wasn't ready to pay $300 for a watch. She paged through a sales book and identified one band that should fit. It was over $30 and too long. But she assured me that Mr. Hobbs could shorten it and that he would be back at work by the end of the week. So I paid for it and she special-ordered it. I left the watch head and the non-fitting band so he could shorten the new one to fit when it came in.
It was just after 4 when I got home. I took the mid-afternoon supplement, and went for a walk. I was able to walk at my normal speed for the first time in months. I stopped often to stretch my foot against the curb. When I got back, I called Faye, who was at Rehab with Dad. He was doing well and she sounded good too.
I read e-mail until an hour had passed since the supplement. Then I ate one of the ribs. Chris had put lots of spice on it. I also ate the rest of my sprouts since they had stopped growing. Chris cooked yucca root and mashed it. It was good with the rib juice on it. Later, I put the meat in a small glass container which went into the fridge. I wiped the grease out of the pan with paper towels and put hot soapy water in it. Chris would have skipped the wiping part, but I don't want all the grease going down the drain.
There was a package in my mailbox: a seam guide sticker. I thought $10 was too much for a sticker, so I scanned it into my desktop and then made a copy for next time (or another machine). I played a video of the installation procedure, but there was no sound. I tried the desktop and still no sound. So I turned to my old laptop, and there was sound, but it wasn't great. I took the sticker to my machine. It seemed larger than necessary and I wondered if I could cut it in such a way as to get two out of it.
At 8:10, we watched two episodes of ST:NG with Chris, then went to bed at the same time.
* She is going to teach a class on how to make this block. *

The trouble with numbers

I got up at 8:30, an hour later than I meant to. I brushed, showered and got dressed. Then in a few minutes I had to leave for church.
When I got there, the choir was assembled, but not singing yet. I joined them. We sang through the song which was really nice and simple. Then I went back to my pew and talked to the people behind me until Don showed up. Then I talked to him. He got up and walked away to shake hands with people. He did not take his rollator so I watched him closely. The choir assembled to sing our song as a call to worship. Then the council president made announcements.
The baptismal font was set up in the center aisle. When the pastor invited us to renew our baptismal vows with water, I waited to see how it unfolded. People on the sides were going to the back so they could come down the center aisle. But Don and Jim headed straight for the font. That made sense for them since they were physically compromised. But while Jim came back the same way, Don went against the flow of traffic and out the back. One of the women went to walk with him so he wouldn't fall. Later for communion, I took his arm and walked him to the rail and back.
After church, I wished Cecelia a happy birthday. Then I walked Don out the front door to meet his ride. I went to the garden room to meet with Jim and Lars about problems with numbers for December. It did not take long. When I got to my car, I could not find my keys. I went back in the church and found them on the counter. I must have left them in the pew.
On the way home, I stopped at Tuesday morning for nuts, and found a chocolate mold tray shaped like Lego pieces. Then I went home and changed clothes. I took some protein powder and read e-mail. I went outside looking for dandelion in the sun. When Chris called me in, we went to Publix for groceries, and then put them away. I made breakfast and ate it while reading e-mail and listening to podcasts. I did no sewing because my left hand and forearm ached so much. I went for a walk to the soccer field and back. I used the massage ball on my back and neck. I started a new coconut milk ferment. I looked up the data behind some of the products mentioned in the podcast.
At 6:45 I heated up the leftover onions and garlic. I ate one egg, and a packet of tuna.
When Chris was done killing the 8pm boss, I sat on the couch with him and watched several episodes of ST:NG, during which I finished the binding on the blue quilt. Then he went to bed and I stayed up to post to my blog.

The big reveal

I got up at 8:15. I took the morning supplement, then brushed and swished. I got dressed as silently as possible. I sat at my sewing machine, pinning the next placemat. Then I put on my coat and went outside to water the flowers and get some early daylight. There wasn't much because the sky was full of clouds, and they were moving pretty quickly.
When I went inside, Chris was up, had loaded the dishwasher and turned on the router. I started reading e-mail. I saw an open game of Solitaire so I played it. I kept playing games to watch the odds of getting a new victory image go down. Then I took my protein supplement. I also checked the mold plates that had been wrapped up for three days. There was no mold growing in either one.
I did some quilting while listening to a podcast. It was annoying that it would freeze and I would have to refresh the page and find the same spot in order to continue. At the most interesting part, I, put away the dishes from the dishwasher so I could be close to the laptop.
When I sat down, I saw e-mail saying a package was delivered. So I put on my coat to check the mailbox, but suddenly the wind and rain picked up so fiercely that I decided it could wait. I cleared more e-mail, and then Chris wanted to go to the WalMart nieghborhood store for cheese and milk. I elected to go along to look for kitchen towels and an ice scraper. It was raining, but not so windy, so I took an umbrella. When we got to the store, we found they had everything Chris wanted, but nothing on my list.
When we got home, I checked the mailbox and found the watchband that I had ordered. I was so excited! I opened the bag and took out the box, then took out the band. I tried to put it on, but it kept slipping in my fingers. Then Chris tried and he said the ends were too big for the watch head. I tried again, and the springy things came off. Chris tried again, but still no luck. He put the old band on just so I could wear it. He suggested I take the new band to the jewelry store at the mall and have them do it.
I put on another podcast and started quilting again. This one froze occasionally too. The old laptop doesn't do that. When I finished sewing, I sat down at the old laptop. I turned my attention to Instagram. It would not let me access my account, saying it had been inactivated for violating their policies. ??? So I created a new account using my Gmail address. Then I was able to look at quilt pics. But it didn't seem any better than using Pinterest or an internet search. So I moved over to Pinterest, looking for some kind of do-not-disturb sign. Nothing fit the bill. Then I added recent pics to my Pinterest quilt page. I made a big salad using up the last of the salad stuff and ate it. I discovered I hadn't posted in over a year, so I had a lot of pics to go through.
It was after 8 when I finished adding my most recent pics to my Pinterest page. Then I sat in the living room with Chris, and we watched a movie from Netflix called RA-one. It was a little strange, being partly in English and partly in some Indian dialect. Also there was singing and choreographed dancing, which isn't often seen in a superhero movie. It was pretty long. I got a few stitches in the blue quilt, but mostly it held my attention.
Now it is time to write my blog post and go to bed.
* This is the block that I remade yesterday. *

She started it

I woke up early and went to the bathroom. The house was dark and quiet so I thought Chris was gone. But after I went back to bed, he went in the shower. I must have fallen asleep after that. I got up at 8:25 after having a strange dream. Chris was gone, of course. I lit the candle and put it in the bedroom. I set a 3-hour reminder on my laptop. I brushed and swished. I washed the dishes in the sink. Then I transferred the anti-aging yogurt to a smaller container, and washed the original one. I made more spice mix and green powder mix. I listened to podcasts, and took pre-breakfast supplements. I made and ate my usual breakfast. I noticed that this new computer is louder than the older one, but loses sound sometimes and has to be rebooted.
After breakfast, I went for a walk. It was threatening to rain. I walked back by the baseball fields and tennis courts. I picked dandelion and dock.
When I got home, I listened to a podcast while sorting batting scraps from Mom. I looked into higher rate CD's for one that is maturing. I also checked out an infrared sauna blanket. It sounded great, but at $500 maybe it ought to do housework, too.
I found a baby ball that Mom started. I hand sewed while listening to a podcast. Then I turned it right side out and stuffed it. I had finished sewing it shut when Chris came home with a box. I opened the box and put the supplements away. I was hoping the new watch band would arrive today.
I called Faye, then talked to my dad. He seems to be getting stronger. He hadn't had a fat bomb today, so I encouraged him to have one.
Stacy called while I was talking, so I called her back. She needed to take a break and walk. So I put on my shoes and met her outside. We walked around about twice, then she had to go home for supper. I went home, too. Chris left soon after I arrived. I made a salad and added eggs and salmon. I listened to more audios as I ate. Then I watched three episodes of Royal Pains and used the massage ball on my back. Also, I beat my left foot with a cardboard tube. I drank some magnesium water and wrote my blog post. I quilted a placemat while waiting for Chris. He went straight to bed, so I published my post and followed him.
*This is the baby ball. *
P.S. Google made me change my password and the only thing that worked was bad language.

Back to ST:NG

I got up just after 8. I lit the candle and put it in the bedroom. Then I got dressed, and brushed my teeth. I deleted the first round of e-mail. I got a text from the Korean doctors saying they did not need me to come this week. I read a few e-mails, and drank some protein water. I also ate the colostrum mix. I picked up my purse and a book, and paused for a moment, thinking I was missing something. I drove to the chiropractor. It was then that I realized I did not have the stim pads. But she had extra's. I waited my turn in the hallway, reading my book. Then she took me to a table to have my back stretched. She placed stim pads on my back to deliver electric shock. After 12 minutes, she came back to let me up. Then I waited in the hallway again to see the doctor.
When he called me in, he asked how I was doing and I mentioned my foot. He told me to buy an L-shaped item to keep my foot at a 90 degree angle while sleeping. He said WalMart had the best price, but that involves the most walking as well. He told me to get new shoes. He adjusted my neck and back. We discussed nutrition. I gave him a pot of lip balm and he seemed to be pleased to get it. When I checked out, there was no charge.
When I got home, I finished my book and moved the candle to the bathroom. Then I made and ate breakfast. I went for a walk, taking a different route so it took longer. But I walked slowly, and picked dandelion. When I got back, I looked into mmst silica and ordered a product. Then I looked into how to use the task scheduler to make reminders appear on my computer screen. It took a long time to find a way that worked because Microsoft inactivated the simple ones. Finally I found some code I could copy/paste in a small space to do the job. It seemed like there must be a better way.
I moved the candle to the fabric room. Chris came home from work. He had not gone to the post office, so I went. On the way back, I stopped at the library to drop off my book and the books on CD, and pick up the next book in the series. When I got back, I opened the box from the post office. I put liver and onions in a dish in the toaster oven. I ate some seed crackers with salsa. When the liver was hot, I covered it with kimchi. I ate that while reading e-mail. I found the Netflix series that I hadn't finished months ago, but by then my computer was not making any sound.
At 7 I blew out the candle and sat down for tapping. My tapping buddy was online soon and we did our usual tapping and talking. We worked on frustration with the speed at which everything is changing. The message I had scheduled earlier came up several times because I set it to repeat once an hour. I made a note to change it now that I know it works.
Chris called up ST:NG on Netflix. I commenced binding while we watched one episode. When it was over, Chris made his lunch and went to bed. I stayed up to blog and finish my vitamin water.

A messy project

I got up around 8. I lit the candle and put it in the master bedroom. I took out of the room things I thought I would need in the next 5 hours. I swished, brushed and swished again. I finished some topstitching. I read e-mail. I made coffee. I did my once-a-week exercises. I meditated and tapped. I read several pages from a book that is due soon.
I moved the candle to the fabric room. I cleaned the bathrooms and mopped one floor. I washed dishes, then showered and got dressed. I went for a walk around the circle. My left foot was very cooperative. Although it was 30 degrees this morning, it was up to 58 by 2pm, so I didn't need a coat.
When I got back, I blew out the candle. I made and ate breakfast. I put some coconut oil and beeswax in a bowl over hot water. The coconut oil melted soon, but the beeswas was very slow. I set out mold plates in the hall bath and the guest room. I was surprised to see that one was cracked. So I covered the crack with tape and let it go. I set the timer for one hour. Chris come home while I was eating liver. Soon the timer rang but I couldn't remember why I set it. He wanted to go straight to the dealership to pick up his car. So I finished the liver and we left. Jordan road was backed up. I did not wait at the dealership, but went home, going through Gate 9. It was backed up as well. Note to self, don't go anywhere at 4pm.
The beeswax was almost melted. I washed 19 little pots. I put essential oils in a jar. I added olive oil to the beeswax and coconut oil. I mixed it with the oils in the jar, and spooned out the liquid into the little pots. It was messy. My hands were oily but I tried not to get any on the outside of the pots. The leftovers went into the jar. I put one little pot in my purse for tomorrow.
I finally remembered the mold plates and picked them up. I wrapped them in tin foil and put them aside to grow out any spores that they might have. I made a salad, and had some blueberries and pumpkin puree.
There was a message from Stacey, but when I called her back, there was no answer. So I grabbed my purse and went to choir practice alone. I was a little early. I found my folder, took out the old music and put in the new. I sat in my spot and conversed with the basses until Jennifer started the warm-ups. We sang through three songs, repeating as needed. We assembled at the front to sing the one for this Sunday. Then she dismissed us early. Stacey had come in late, but she stayed to talk to me. She had not worn a coat, so it was uncomfortable to see her standing outside as we talked. I gave her the little pot of lip balm from my purse. Then we agreed it was time to go home, since the gate closes at 9. She left first and I was right behind her. But we took two different routes. Still, I pulled up behind her at the first light on post, and followed her home, passing by and parking in my driveway. I wondered if she noticed.
Chris was ready with the last CD of the book. I put another pot in my purse, then I sat beside him and resumed working on the binding. I got almost a whole side done before the CD ended. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to write this post.

The candle

I got up before 7. I found a taper and used it to light the mold candle. I placed the candle on a cookie sheet and put it on the bed. I shut the door to let it do its work. I brushed and swished. I read e-mail, but it was very slow. I posted my blog for yesterday. Linda called, asking if we could come in February instead of January.
Bluprint was allowing anyone to view their classes for free until the 7th. I realized that was today! I checked out the classes and chose one on quilting with rulers. I talked to Mary Ann and we caught up on the latest.
At 9:45, I moved the candle to the master bathroom. I grabbed some handwork and went to quilting. I sat at the lone table, and listened to the conversation of the other ladies while doing some handwork. Jodi passed out Christmas blocks she had made. I turned in one big bag of scraps for dog beds.
It was after 11 when I got home. I took supplements, and made breakfast. I ate it while watching quilt lessons. I set up my new computer and downloaded pics from my camera. I blew out the candle which had been burning for 3 hours.
After watching more quilt lessons, I went to church. I entered numbers in the computer, and everything seemed to go well. I wrote the last of the donations on a report that Tim put in my box, and printed out reports. Then I took the money to the bank and made the deposit. Finally I went home.
I lit the candle and put it in the fabric room. I went for a walk around the circle, able to walk a little faster than yesterday. I watched more lessons when I got back. Chris came home. We discussed him using my car tomorrow. I called Dr. Grace to see if I could come on Thursday instead of Wednesday. Later we each drove to the dealership. Chris dropped off his car and got in mine. He drove us home.
At home, I got out the liver and onions for supper, then made a salad. I blew out the candle when the three hours was up. I watched the rest of the lessons, and looked through a quilt catalog.
When the quilting lessons were over, I gathered supplies for handsewing and sat on the couch with Chris. While two CD's played, I draped the light Faye gave me around my neck and sewed down binding on the blue quilt. I completed about half of it. Then it was time for bed. I took the last supplement, and wrote my blog post while Chris made his lunch for tomorrow.

The new faucet

I am not certain when I got up. I brushed and swished. I put down a paper towel and made the leak drip so it could be found and fixed as quickly as possible. I got a project ready for going to quilting. I looked at watch bands online, finally found one on ETSY. I nearly bought two but wasn't certain if the length was exactly right. No workmen came to fix the leak. And I missed the 9am cutoff for starting the candle. The candle is supposed to burn for three hours to deactivate any mold in the room. I was going to light the candle anyway at 9:30, but could not find a lighter or a match. Then the maintenance man came at 9:45. While he worked, I read e-mail and washed dishes. When he was done, he showed me the new faucet he had installed (which did not match the one at the other sink). He said the old one was cracked. (Probably when the hot water hit it after being cold for two weeks).
I made and ate breakfast. I put my quilting stuff in the car and went to the church at noon. The table was full of women finishing up lunch. There was a machine or project at every place on the sewing tables. So I sat by Rebecca and talked to her until someone left. Then I took her spot. I worked on a hanging towel. Alice and Maryanne stayed and talked to me after the others had left. It was better than sewing, which I can do at home anyway.
We packed up about 3. I drove home. I took the mid-afternoon supplement. I walked around the block in the waning sun. My left foot was not completely comfortable, but is getting better. Then I took a book and read out in the back yard to catch the last of the sun's rays. When I came in, I got some liver and onions from the fridge. I swallowed the supper pills, then ate. Then I made a salad and ate that while watching something on Youtube.
I laid out supplements for the rest of the week in the pill minder box. I read reviews of Knives Out, thinking Marta started the whole thing by suggesting to Harlan that he cut off the flow of money to his children.
At 8 I sat with Chris and listened to two CD's of the book. Only 3 CD's left to go. It is due tomorrow but Chris is going to renew it. My regular book is due soon, so I need to finish that as well. After the second CD ended, I brushed my teeth and went to bed.

Still no watch

I got up at 7:35. I listened to podcasts, did some tapping, and looked at mold-fighting solutions. I found a leak in bathroom as I washed up and got ready for church. I decided to wear pants because it was below freezing. I also put on earrings and wore my hair down.
When I got to church, I stood around talking to Lars and Ron and Don. When the service started, the pastor told us to greet each other and do all our talking then instead of later during the passing of the peace. So we did, and I greeting Jennifer. Later, when the offering plate came around, Don wasn't ready. So I wrote his name on a pew envelop and told him I would take it up later. After the service, people were taking down the greenery and decorations. I told them I was taking the other kind of greenery. I put Don's envelop in the plate, then took all the offering to the safe. I came back to help the others. I brought in the 4 wreaths from outside. Jennifer gave me my juicer back. She said her husband cleaned it so well, that she was afraid to use it again.
I carried it out to my car. I stopped at Publix to recycle grocery bags, then went home to have breakfast. Chris said someone was coming in the morning to fix the leak in the bathroom. So much for burning the mold-defying candle in the bedroom. But maybe they will arrive and leave early.
I packed my cutting stuff and went to Renegades. The ladies had just finished lunch. I sat at the table and played Right Left Center with fat quarters. Lynette won all the fat quarters, and donated them to the group stash. I bought eggs from Tina. Then I spent hours stacking squares. When it was time to go, I helped pack up tables, carry out bags of fabric, and then I finished the vacuuming.
On the way home, I went to the mall to look for watch bands. I had no luck at the jewelers because their bands were too wide. One place told me that if I found a band at the department stores, I could bring it back to get put on. But I found nothing at either one. Then Faye called to say one of Dad's checks was missing. I was no help. Then I drove home. I took the midafternoon supplements. I looked online for watchbands, but had no luck. Then I had supper: liver, onions, large salad. I called Faye and she had found the check. I made up two weeks of my own supplements. Then I jotted notes for my blog. I posted for yesterday and wrote something for today.
Then I sat by Chris on the couch. We listened to two CD's of the book, finishing 10 out of 15. I must have fallen asleep at least once, missing a crucial part, but awake for the second CD. Afterward, I posted to my blog and we went to bed.

First day of new supplement plan

I began the new supplement regimen today, based on the advice of my new health practitioner. I did not yet have full integration with what I was already doing. I drafted supplement schedule to fit my 2-meals-a-day plan. I filled the bread machine and started it at Chris' request.
After consuming my pre-breakfast mixes, I made and ate breakfast. Then I whipped up a batch of seed crackers. I boiled water to sterilize yogurt implements. I threw out the moldy anti-aging yogurt from before Christmas and washed the container thoroughly. I rinsed it with boiling water. By the time I got the new batch of yogurt mixed up and warming, it was a little too late to go sewing. So I sewed at home. I broke two needles on same project but did not hit any pins. Hmm. I restarted my coconut milk ferment using the probiotic that the health practitioner recommended. I soaked a seed mix for future sprouts. I put away seed crackers, then took a walk. It was windy and cold. I wished I had worn a warmer coat, or could run to keep warm.
When I got back, I read e-mail. Chris had soaked liver overnight in milk. He put it in the oven while I was quilting some placemats. When I saw him eating, I got hungry. I made a large salad and ate it. Then I took the liver out of the oven and had a piece of that, covered in onions. I put the rest away in glass jars.
We watched one episode of The Mandalorian, and were surprised to find that it was the last one. So then we listened to more of the book on CD. I came very close to falling asleep. So when the CD ended, I took the bedtime supplement, brushed, and went to bed, leaving my blogging for tomorrow.

The problem with changing numbers

I got up around 8. I brushed and swished. I bustled around in the kitchen. I woke up the old laptop. I looked again for articles on the efficacy of vitamin patches. I tried to integrate my old supplement regimen with the new one from the functional health practitioner. I ordered something I thought I had ordered before, but apparently did not. I cut the new insoles and stuck them in a pair of loose-fitting shoes.
Chris made a shopping list, so I quickly got dressed, put on walking shoes, and went along. We went to Publix and got groceries for the week. After putting away the groceries, I made and ate breakfast. I tried to read an e-book, but before I finished, I got a call from the church treasurer. He was looking for the weekly reports. I promised to get them soon.
I put excess plastic bags in my car and brought my offering accessories. I stopped at my bank to deposit checks. Then I went to the church to record three offering sheets. I found out that the envelop numbers had been reassigned. I called Tim and we came to an understanding. Then Lars showed up. He and I talked and found problems. He called Tim and finally we thought we had it straightened out. It was going to take me some time to transfer the numbers over so I asked Lars to make the deposit. Then Beverly called me. I couldn't talk long. I had to re-do what I had done. I wrote a sheet of both numbers along with each name. Then I saw a donation from someone who wasn't done with their number yet, but it had been given to someone else. Arrggghhh! I finished up about 5:30.
Faye started texting me as I was getting ready to leave. It seems Dad's caregiver got sick and couldn't come and the agency did not send a substitute. Isn't that their job?
When I got home, I made a small salad with sprouts and olives and salsa. I did some tapping for being tired. I sat down to wait for my tapping buddy. She was late, but then we connected. She told me about her week and I told her about mine. Then we tapped for her issues from childhood. Afterward, Chris and I watched three episodes of The Mandelorian. Then I wrote my blog post and we went to bed.
