The tree and me

Thursday

I got up soon after 7:30. Because I didn't get meditation morning yesterday, I did it today. And since I cleaned yesterday, I didn't have to do that part afterward.

At quarter of 1, I went to 638B and cleaned for 3 hours and 15 minutes. The house inside is almost finished, but the outside and the stuff left behind is going to take some time. On the way home, I stopped at the gas station to fill up.

When I got home, I looked up the Ninja cooker that was left in the kitchen. It looks like the FD401. It has none of the accouterments, so someone would have to buy at least the inner pot in order to use it for anything, and the pressure cooker lid for full functioning.

I made the pre-meal fiber drink. I read messages for while, then heated up some bean soup in the toaster oven. When it was hot, I added some rice. I also ate a small carrot salad and two pickled eggs.

I texted to Michelle that I was going hiking with Mr. Pennington tomorrow. I just wanted someone to know where I was in case anything happened out there. She got worried that I didn't have the right kind of shoes for the weather and terrain so she invited me over to try her daughter's shoes.

When I finished supper, I headed over. But I drove by her house and saw her car was not there. I went to the gym and saw Dispatch letting her in. So I parked and went in as well. We walked the track and talked. Then she decided to lift weights. I talked to the gentleman in the lobby, then I walked to the chapel next door.

I let myself in and did not turn on the lights. I plugged in the tree and admired it shining in the dark. Then I sang Christmas hymns, enjoying the peace of the moment. At least until I heard a text come in.

Michelle said she was heading home. So I drove over there to meet her. She showed me the shoes she had in mind. They weren't cute at all. Kinda rugged. But she insisted. She also insisted that I have a water bladder that fits in a backpack with a tube that hangs in the front for easy drinking. Sounded good to me. We talked till after 10.

I went home and checked messages. I worked on my blog. I looked for an image that would convey the message that I can't handle one more thing, but couldn't find a good one. I got ready and went to bed.
