Suprise fabric trip
I got up this morning thinking I would spend the day at home. I listened to more audios, cutting several short as they seemed to be more advertising than informing.
I also did a little cleaning in the kitchen with my new peppermint soap. It can be used for anything and it is non-toxic. So I used it on dishes and countertops. I also swept the floor. In the afternoon Cathy called and asked me to go to Dongdaemun with her. She didn't have to twist my arm very hard. But if I had known I would be going to Dongdaemun I would have put away the fabric I bought last month which is piled on the floor, because I promised myself that I wouldn't buy more until I had the last put away. I thought I had until Tuesday! (Nothing like waiting until the last minute). I guess I broke that promise because I did buy fabric. Anyone suprised? Ok, then. Coming back through the subway, we passed a man selling various seeds and berries. I bought some dried berries that he indicated were for making a tea. I ate one, but it was very strong. So I took them home, put some aside for Cathy, and put a few in a cup with hot water. It did turn into tea, and pretty good at that. I suspect they may be Acai berries.
Afterwards I got back on my computer to enter a contest sponsored by the Army. First I had a heck of a time finding my password (they insist that it be a difficult one) and then it didn't work because it had expired. So I had to create a new one. Then I entered all my info into the form and attached 3 pictures of my quilt. That took a while because the jpg's were too big and I had to resize them. But then the upload didn't complete and all the info was lost. SO I did it again. And it was lost again. I did it a third time, and when that was lost, I called it quits, writing them a grumbling e-mail about how their site wouldn't upload my entry.
