We got up at 7 to shower, pack, and
eat breakfast. Chris vacuumed our room while I packed the cooler
from the fridge. I think we left about 8:30. Saying goodbye was
hard. But once we were on the road, we put on the book on CD. This
one is a Ken Follett book called World without End – or something
like that. It was very interesting and took my mind off of how long
the trip was. We stopped halfway at Cracker Barrel for lunch. At
6:30 we arrived in Knoxville at our hotel. After unpacking we drove
around looking for a restaurant. We stopped at a Batteries Plus for
a spare camera battery. From there we could see a Japanese place
with half-priced sushi. Just after we placed our order, Chris
mentioned the Thai place he could see out the window. Really? Now
he mentions it? But the food here was good, so good that I ate the
sushi without the wasabe. Chris' attention was on the TV behind my
head. It was playing one of the Mission Impossible movies. After we
ate, we drove by the thai place. It was very nice-looking. When we
got back to the hotel he checked out their Sunday hours and they open
at noon. Our check-out is noon so he suggested that we check out at
noon, have lunch there, and then get on the road. We watched Big
Bang Theory episodes on TV until they ran out. Then, being tired, we
just went to bed.
