Picking the last of the veggies

Sunday

I had hard time getting to sleep, but once I did, l slept pretty well. I had a bad dream, then woke up after 9. I got up to brush my teeth, take supplements, do chair squats and drink magnesium water.

I checked e-mail, then ate two eggs. One turned out to be raw, so I threw it in the microwave. I added to the supplements I made yesterday (I thought I had finished). I caught up on e-mail and listened to an interview on cancer.

I ate some fiber gel and made breakfast. Then I laid out in the sun before eating it. It was kind of cool, but warm enough in direct sunlight.

I ate breakfast, then got dressed for church. I picked two hymns. I took cheese squares and my trombone to the chapel. I laid them on the back table, then went up to show the hymns to Keli. I assembled my trombone and sprayed the slide.

Chaplain opened with a prayer. He also had a list of announcements. One was that there will be Adult Sunday school at 11:30 on Sundays. Another was about a children's choir. He asked if someone who knows music could help (and kind of looked at me). He also announced bell choir and said interested people should contact me.

We had praise music and a blessing for the offering. A young girl read the verses. Then Chaplain spoke about prayer. I wished I had chosen a hymn about prayer. When he called us musicians up, he asked me what the hymn number was. I felt a little rushed and messed up the beginning of the hymn. It didn't help that my slide was sticking (in spite of having sprayed it).

Afterward, I spoke to him about that. I also told him that we didn't have everything we need for bell choir. I showed him the paraments I had dropped off last week. He didn't seem to want the altar cloth. I gave him the leftover cheese squares. He told that he makes omelets with them. Okaaaaaayyy.

I exchanged cash with Jenni and went home. I changed clothes. I posted about children's handbells and for band practice. I went to the garden and saw that the leaves on the squash and zucchini plants had frozen at some point. I picked all the squash and another vegetable that I could find. There was a tiny cantaloupe with a hole, but I picked it anyway.

I also went by the pear tree, hoping to find at least a pear on the ground. Nope. But I did spy one in the tree. Also saw an apple on the apple tree. When I got home, I texted Michelle, asking for help to get them down.

Chris made me supper and signed into the game. Soon we were all signed in. We found ourselves on a boat, having just captured a pirate ship. We renamed it. Another ship found us and said there were fees to pay, so we followed them to shore. Then apparently we were supposed to foment a revolution of some kind. I had no idea how to do that, so I pieced puzzles as I listened to the others play.

Afterward, I made a bottle of tea and ate the little cantaloupe. I took out the compost. I picked some cabbage leaves for Michelle and chose a zucchini for her. I went to her house for Game Night (which Casey specifically invited me to) but the house was dark. So I texted her. She said they were on their way, and to go right in. So I did. I turned on the lights and sat with the cat. In 20 minutes, they arrived, wet from swimming at someones house. Michelle talked to me as everybody showered and dressed and got settled. Casey put the pi together and started the game. I used my notes to navigate around. But eventually, I had to enter the room where I died last week. And I died again. But at least I saved the game just before I went in.

I bid Casey goodbye and went home. Chris was still up. I took supplements and worked on my blog. I looked up a little bit of Rama. Then we went to bed. Lying there, I thought about my tomato plants and not knowing the weather, I got up to put a sheet over them.
