Making the sewing project

Friday

I got up before 8. I had been dizzy when I went to bed and wondered if it was from the dinner last night. I put away the yogurt experiment. I forgot to do squats or to practice. I got ready for the day. I checked e-mail. I went to the chapel for Math Morning.

In case no one came, I brought some sewing to do. But Casey arrived with Tetris in hand. So we chatted while I played Tetris, making to level 8 each time but then dying quickly.

At 10, we packed up. I went by the swap shop to take pics, then home to change clothes and have some water. I posted the pics on Facebook. I went to 60D to clean for an hour. I finished the stove, and the fans. I tried to work on the tub, but it wouldn't drain. And I needed some steel wool for the chrome.

I went home for breakfast. After I ate, we went to the commissary for weekly groceries. I wanted a chili pepper to try in the yogurt experiment, but they didn't have any. Also I didn't feel like driving all the way to Tooele just for that.

So I stayed home and read online. Then I went to the swap shop to get some hangers, then went home and made the sewing project for tomorrow. Since Saronna didn't come to Math Morning, she might not come to sewing class either. I posted the sewing project, and then announcements for Project Night and Rhythm Class. I worked on my black pants, tying off the embroidery floss and re-serging the side seams. Serging gave me a little strip that I could burn to see if they were really cotton. Didn't smell like cotton, but it did not leave any melted goo behind either.

I put supper in the toaster oven. Chris got some beans soaking for supper tomorrow. I looked up notes for the game tonight. I ate supper. Chris took a nap. I worked on my blog.

At 8:30 I took some yogurt and cheese squares to Michelle's house. I gave them to her and she said she'd try them tomorrow. We chatted and I played the game. However, I got stuck inside the submarine. So then I tried the other option and couldn't make the flying machine take off. Since I left my phone at home, I could not read my notes. Sigh. So at 11, I shut the game down. We were just talking anyway. I thanked them and went home.

Chris was still up. I started my bedtime routine and he came to bed as well.

The longest Highwire episode

Thursday

I got up before 7:30, feeling like I had been awake most of the night. Lots of hot flashes. I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I put the remaining half gallon of milk in a sauce pan to heat to 180F. I set the jar of yogurt starter next to it. I made a deeper gash in the lemon.

I read e-mail and watched a few videos of Dr. Alex Heyne. I let the milk cool down. I did my squats and practiced trombone. I added some of the starter (from yesterday) to the milk and put it in the oven to cure.

I headed to the chapel, stopping along the way to unlock the swap shop. I also picked up the mail. I went to Bible Study. There were only 4 of us. We read two chapters of Genesis and discussed them and lots of other stuff.

As it wrapped up, we saw a small snowplow come up the walkway to the chapel. We wondered if he would take requests. I went home to change clothes and eat fiber gel. I went to clean for an hour. Then I came home to make breakfast and watch The Highwire.

The Highwire went long and I had to pause it at 2:25. I went back to cleaning, thinking Isadora was coming at 2:30, but she came later. I scrubbed at the oven, but ended up having to turn on the self-clean cycle. We left at 4:30 because the fumes were getting to us.

I went home, finished a Sudoku puzzle. I prepared the sauna and did 20 minutes of sweating, then cleaned up and took a shower. Chris came home from work. I rested, then got dressed. We went to the church off post for an Italian potluck they were having. Michelle was there, but she soon left. We waited till the line decreased, then got some food and talked to our tablemates.

About 7:45, we went home, stopping at the post office for me to lock the swap shop, never knowing if the person who requested it actually went or not. I got out the dessert from last Thursday and finished listening to The Highwire. The full episode was over 3 hours, discussing the evidence for viruses not existing.

I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I read some messages and articles online. Then we went to bed.

A sewing class for the young women's group

Wednesday

I got up after 8. Chris was still here because the base opened late on account of the snow. I prepared for coffee morning. He took a shower and left. I exercised and drybrushed. I meditated and tapped. I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms. I vacuumed the carpets and mopped the tile floors.

I took niacin, then read e-mail for awhile. I prepared the sauna and steamed for 20 minutes. I cleaned it up and took a shower. I took special supplements. I made a bookmark and some templates for it. I made egg salad.

I dug my car out of the snow and went to 60D for cleaning. I texted Isadora to come over. We cleaned for about an hour. Then she walked home and I drove home.

Chris was home when I arrived, making his supper. I checked e-mail and wrote some notes for class. I checked out some handbell memes.

I headed out at 6:30 to make sure I had enough time to get ready for class. As I left the driveway, Saronna called to ask if she could have the key to open the chapel door. I told her I was on my way.

When I unlocked the chapel door, a bunch of teenage girls and some ladies came in. Turns out I knew all but one of them. They went to the fellowship hall to have their meeting while I set up 4 machines and wrote on the white board. Then Saronna turned the meeting over to me. I instructed them in the process of making the corner bookmark. Isadora brought her own machine and fabric. Another girl brought a machine that her brother broke. So while the girls sewed, I worked on the machine. It produced a thread nest every time. I pulled out another machine that was almost the same and looked to it for clues. But I ran out of time. The girl said I could take it home.

The girls helped pack up the machines and left. Saronna stayed until it was all done and the lights turned off. Then we discovered that Popken was working in the sanctuary.

We walked out together. She said Randy had finished my trombone case. So I drove to her house and picked it up. I was surprised to see I had left my music there as well. I thanked him for gluing the metal piece down which protects the case. I tried to put it in my back seat, but the doors were frozen shut. So it went in the passenger seat.

I went home where Chris was waiting. I brought in the trombone, music, and sewing machine. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then we read at our laptops for awhile and went to bed.

Making yogurt starter

Tuesday

I got up around 8. I got ready for the day. I brought in the gallon of milk and carton of eggs. I steamed a batch of eggs, and put a lemon in a jar with some milk. I heated half a gallon of milk, added LAB and put it in the dehydrator to cure.

I read e-mail and messages. I finished a pair of pants, then realized the ones I had on were not made well. So I put them in my sewing room to serge.

I made breakfast, and ate while reading. A man came to fix the bathroom sink. As soon as he was finished, I went to Saronna's house to play. We worked mostly on When the Saints. I left my trombone there so Randy could tape the case.

I went down the street and signed for a house. I got the toilet, tub, and burner bowls soaking. I went home for the vacuum. I went back to vacuum the whole house and clean the fridge. Then I went home for a quilt guild meeting: I signed into Zoom, ate fiber gel, put supper in the toaster oven, then watched the quilts – lots of pics.

I worked on my blog, and put rennet in the milk (which had already started to form curds). I listened to some short audios, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds.

I brought the milk back to the kitchen. It was one large curd. So I scooped it out and put it in a jar.l Then I put most of the whey into a jar and drank the rest. I finished my night by watching more yogurt videos. Then I went to bed.

Filing taxes

Monday

I got up at 8. I made fiber gel, etc. I started a post for band and decided I needed a funny meme for handbells to go with it. So I spent probably several hours looking at music memes on Pinterest, but found none for handbells.

Then Chris wanted to know how much money I made last year for tax purposes. So I got out my contracts and cross-referenced them with what was on my computer. I made a list of numbers and gave him the total. Then he wanted to know how much money I gave to charity. So I made another list of what was on my computer. Another hour gone. He also wanted to know what I spent on cleaning supplies, but I had no list for that.

I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail and messages. I watered the plants. I played my trombone. I looked up some hymn suggestions, then picked one from the binder. The other one wasn't in there, so I had to scan it and clean it up, and print it out on the old computer.

I took some niacin and read messages until the flush hit. Then I prepared the steam sauna and did some stretches and exercises. I steamed for 20 minutes, then wiped the sauna out and took a shower. I took some activated charcoal. I got dressed.

I went to the chapel early. I set up a table for the bells in the fellowship hall. Wilhelm helped me set up the bells and put out gloves. Saronna and I talked for a bit, then we realized Keli wasn't coming. John and Michele and Elizabeth came. I sent them to the fellowship hall to mark their music and practice the song. In the sanctuary, we played through the hymns, through the handbell song, and through Everybody wants to be a Cat.

Then I dismissed the band. I went to help the handbells practice since Caleb didn't show up. It went really well. Then I dismissed them. John helped me put the bell cases away. They left and I cleaned up the table, turned off the lights and locked the door.

I went home. I put supper in the oven. I read e-mail. When supper was ready, I ate while watching videos on how to make a twisting thread catcher. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds.

I got on my laptop to see if we knew any of the actors from previous programs. I read e-mail and messages, then went to bed.

Leveling up DURING the game

Sunday

I got up at 9, having wrestled with RLS during the night. I got ready for the day. I watched cheese-making videos. I heated half a gallon of milk. I poured in some vinegar a little bit at a time. I scooped the curds which were transparent and stringy. When I thought I had them all, I poured out the whey into the compost pile. I made and ate breakfast as I continued to watch cheese and yogurt videos. Did you know that you can ferment milk with a pepper or a lemon?

I called up the praise songs on my laptop so I could hear them ahead of time. I got dressed for church. I took cheese squares and music to the chapel. I talked to Keli and to the chaplain about playing for Easter. Then the service started with three praise songs. One had the same name but was not the song I listened to. Then the chaplain invited Dr Mays and his father to come forward. They are both studying the book of Job. The older Mays answered some questions, then the younger one read the scripture reading.

The chaplain gave the sermon and the band came up to play our two hymns. Then the chaplain gave the benediction. Afterward, we all talked together in small groups. Then I took my cheese squares and left.

I went to the gym to turn on the sauna for later. I texted Michelle. I went home to change into a bathing suit and pack my sauna bag. I drank water and filled two water bottles. I met Michelle at the sauna at 3:15. We talked and sweated for an hour or more. I think I sweat better in the steam sauna. We showered off and talked about the charcuterie boards for Galentines. Then I went home for the game.

Chris had my supper in the oven. I ate fiber gel and signed in for the game. We talked a bit, then started to play. We finished off the Lich and his men. Then we investigated his castle. Astrid tried to hire away the cook with no luck. We spent a lot of time leveling up with the experience points from the fight. Afterward, we tried to find the Lich's phylactery. Then we headed for a dragon's lair. AND the game was called for time.

I worked on my blog. I saw a short video about the company that does school pictures keeping those pics and student information in a large database which the pedophiles can access. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Afterward, I looked up some of the actors and actresses. One of them I recognized from a soap opera in the 90's.

We read on our laptops too late and went to bed.

My duck is cooked

Saturday

I got up at 8, thinking it was later. I got ready for the day. Chris went to Mass. I practiced and washed dishes and read e-mail. Chris came home. He prepared a pot with spices and put in a duck. He cooked the innards separately. Then he gave me a coconut oil massage. Afterwards, he checked on the innards while I went in the sauna, then took a shower. He started the laundry.

I made and ate breakfast. I sat outside and read for awhile. Then I packed some dusting supplies and went to clean for the lady off post. She and I chatted a bit, then I started dusting. I also cleaned some baseboards by the door. She paid me and we chatted some more. Then I went home, stopping at the post office on the way.

Chris had the duck ready. But I ate fiber gel, then read e-mail for a while. John and Michele came over for a package and to pick up the glass recycling. I asked if they were coming to Project Night and they said they were.

After they left, I ate some of the duck over rice. I worked on a pair of pants I had cut out last week. I packed them in a bag to bring along. I jotted notes for my blog.

I took my project and trombone to the chapel. I unlocked the doors and turned on the lights. I set up in the fellowship hall. Cedric and Casey arrived and set up. Saronna texted me that she was coming to rhythm class. Michele and John had arrived. I worked on the pants until she came with the kids. Then we played with sticks what was printed on the rhythm sheets. Sophia chose not to participate. Wilhelm had a hard time sitting still.

They left about 8. I went back to the fellowship hall where we discussed stuff as we worked. About 8:30 Michele and John left. Then Casey and Cedric packed up so I did, too. We walked out, turning off lights as we left.

I went home. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched TV. We dressed the bed with clean sheets.  I mended the comforter that Chris uses.  I started watching a cheese-making video, then went to bed.

No chamomile at Melanie's

Friday

I got up before 8. I got ready for the day. I signed up for customer service at Paypal, but it said there was a 9 minute wait period. So I practiced for a few minutes, then came back. It had timed out. I signed up again. I took a quick shower. It had timed out. I signed up again, and sat until someone responded. Then I responded, and had to wait for their response, etc.

At 9, I went to Math Morning. I brought a book for Saronna to read. So it was more quiet. Then she and Jedediah went to count chairs. I helped Moira with her graded math papers.

At 10, we packed up, cleaned up nursery. I went home, called customer service at the bank. Back and forth, finally got some money in the right account. I removed all payees from Paypal.

I ate fiber gel, made more mix and parsed supplements. I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. We went to the commissary, then unloaded the food at home. We went to Tooele: Luckey's and Melanie's. Melanie's was strangely lacking in product on the shelves. We went back to base.

I read on my laptop while Chris prepared something. He went to his game night. I went in the sauna, then showered and ate supper. I prepared some cheese and sprouts for Michelle.

I drove to her house, gave her the jar of cheese. She showed me the houses in Europe that she is planning on staying at with the kids this summer. I loaded the game and played through the notes I took. We talked the whole time. And continued even after I quit the game.

When I got home, Chris was still up. I posted to my blog, then we went to bed.

Valentine's Dinner

Thursday

I got up at 7:30, Chris was still in the shower. What's up with that? I brushed my teeth and drank water. I stood outside for a minute, then did my squats. I practiced a little bit. I called the customer service number to activate a card and found out it was cancelled. So I ordered another one and she said it would be sent to me in a link on my phone. Sigh.

I watered the plants and did a few last minute things. I threw a load of small towels into the wash. Then I went to Bible Study. We read two chapters of Genesis and discussed them. We chatted and prayed. As the others left, Wendy helped me look for a lost earring. We even took apart the vacuum cleaner bag and I searched it with one hand as far as down as I thought it might be. Then we threw it out and she put a new bag in (which it really needed anyway).

I went home to get my magnifying glass, then to the swap shop to search through piles of pants to find cotton ones. I found one pair, and a shirt with tags still on. But the tags were in Japanese. I took them home. I tried on the pants and they were too small in the waist. Then I checked the tags and decided it was probably cotton. Then I looked up how to get the logos off. Heat was recommended.

I made breakfast and watched The Highwire. It was only about 90 minutes. I read some e-mail. I looked through the rest of my drawers. I marked some more stuff. I put some non-cotton tops in a bag with the pants that didn't fit. I took the bag back to the swap shop. Revonna was there looking for something. Then Jenni arrived. We talked for some time. I headed home.

Chris was waiting for me. So I changed into a black dress with gold earrings. We went to the Community Club for Valentine's dinner.  John and Michele arrived seconds later. So we went in and found a table for each couple. There were only two servers and I think they were serving at the bar as well. So it was slow. We got our drinks and I asked for music. It took awhile, and then they fiddled with the sound system. But nice music came out. It seemed like they had a list of songs prepared, but Chris said it might just be Charity's playlist on her phone. Anyway, it added a lot.

When our pre-selected meals came, they were about room temp, but the plates were warm. Chris mentioned it just so they would know. We ate them the way they were. I couldn't finish. So we got a to-go box and asked for the dessert to be boxed as well. Chris paid and we went home.

I changed into my nightgown. I pulled the towels from the dryer. I followed the link to the debit card and completed the steps, but it wouldn't tell me the number so I could use it. I tried to log in, but it would not accept my password or let me create a new one. Of course the customer service number doesn't work after hours.

I worked on my blog.  I made tea.  We watched one episode of Criminal Minds.  I didn't feel like going in the sauna, so I read on my laptop, then went to bed.

John's application was accepted

Wednesday

I woke up at 730 hearing Chris get out of the shower. When he was gone, I got up to prepare for coffee morning. I drybrushed and rebounded. I did the lymph-moving exercises. But on the last one, I leaned back to stretch and my back spasmed. I recovered quickly enough, but the shadow of it followed me around for the rest of the day.

I took some Curamin and texted John to bring my Curamed back. I did my meditation and tapping. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. John came over with the supplement. He asked if there was anything else and I asked him to refill the 5 gallon jugs. So he did and I paid him back. I also had him pull out the heavy glass dish from the back of the dishwasher.

After he left, I took niacin. I went to my laptop to order more vitamin E and saccharomyces. It took a long time to compare prices and options. Then I made some egg salad. I prepared the sauna again. I vacuumed the bedroom, hall and den. I did some stretches, then got in the sauna. After the sauna, I took a shower, and then some charcoal. I dried the sauna. I checked my phone and jotted notes to my blog.

I tried to verify when lipolysis from niacin hits, but couldn't find the info.

I walked to the post office for the mail.   Chris got home just before I did.  He made himself supper.  I kept searching for lipolysis.  Michele and John came over for him to finish his application for a position at the clinic. She laid on the floor the whole time because she couldn't sit. Guess she'll have to sit to go to the MRI on Friday.  Faye called to talk about Susan, who died at 61. We talked about other things as well. John and Michele went home.

I made tea and finished my blog. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I read some e-mail and went to bed.

Everybody wants to be a cat

Tuesday

I got up before 8, got ready for the day. I started practicing and came upon Everybody Wants to be a Cat. I liked it so much that I turned on the old computer and scanned it. I also re-did the copy of Lord of the Dance to be used by bell ringers.

I ate fiber gel and went into the sewing room to mark more clothing for cotton content. Then I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. I started threading elastic through the waist of a pair of pants.

I went to Saronna's house. We practiced When the Saints, over and over. We also tried Everybody Wants to be a Cat. She really liked it too. Afterward, I went home to get some cleaning spray, then went to 403 for inspection. It passed easily and we all chatted a bit. We rolled out the garbage and recycling cans for collection on Thursday.

I went to the library to make copies. They gave me a dozen eggs. We chatted about this and that. On my way out, I passed Keli and gave her a set of copies. I went home.

I went into my sewing room and finished the elastic. I sewed a channel for it to ride in. I tried the pants on and the elastic made a big difference. Then I went through my other pants to see which ones were cotton. Like one. I ate fiber gel. I put supper in the toaster oven. Chris came home from work and prepared his own supper.

As I was reading messages, John and Michele came over. Chris helped John apply for a job at the clinic. They also talked about the next gaming convention. I paid John for his help on 403.

I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then I prepared the sauna and did some stretches. I steamed for 20 minutes, then got out and wiped off. I hung up the wet towels and dried out the tent. I spent some time on my laptop while my heart rate decreased. Then we went to bed.

Marking the cotton

Monday

I got up at 8, having slept well. I got ready for the day. I did my squats and practiced.

I cleaned off my sewing table, having to patch a pair of his pants. Then I altered some of the cotton clothing from the swap shop.

I ate fiber gel. There was no sun so I marked my cotton clothing with red thread on the tags. Then I made and ate breakfast. I chose two hymns and pulled them from the binder. I also hole-punched the ones from last week and stuck them in the binder.

I went to the post office for mail, then went to Housing to return a remote and schedule an inspection. I went to 403 to make sure it was ready for that inspection.

I went home and pulled all my tops from the drawers and examined them, marking those that are verifiable 100% cotton. I ate fiber gel, then put supper in the toaster oven. I read e-mail and listened to a tapping audio. Chris came home from work.

I went to band practice. We played the two hymns. We worked on several other pieces, then turned to the Broadway book.  At 7, I dismissed them. We packed up, turned off the lights and went home.

I finished listening to the audio. I read messages and listened to a discussion of the Epstein files. I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I prepared the sauna and went in for 20 minutes. Then I wiped it down, showered and put on a nightgown. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to add up cleaning hours and figure out what I owe John and Isadora.

My monthly trip to the gas station

Sunday

I got up at 8:30. I brushed my teeth, did squats in the sun, drank water and later made lemon water and drank that. I listened to several interviews.

I ate fiber gel. I read outside. It was such a nice day.  I made cheese squares, then made and ate breakfast. I got dressed, and took the cheese squares to church.

I put the music on the stand up front, assembled trombone, then talked to people. Then I sat through the service, thinking that I could stay awake more easily if I pulled my fingernails out. At the end, we played the hymns. My mouth got so dry I could hardly play, but that never happens on Monday nights.

I talked to people, then went to the gym to turn on the sauna. I went home to change, read e-mail, and get ready for the sauna. I went to the gym where Michelle and Jenni were waiting. I got caught in a conversation. I took the first out to go to the women's room. I wore my bathing suit and sat in the sauna and we talked. After Jenni left, Michelle and I talked a little longer, then got out, showered, dressed – still talking.

Afterward, I went to the gas station but didn't have my credit card. So I went home, pulled the mushrooms out of the oven, took my credit card back to gas station and gassed up. I passed Chris and Michelle and Casey on the way.

When I got home, I unpacked the wet things in my sauna bag. I made supper, ate, and signed in for the game. We chatted, fought, and called it a night at 8:30. Battle to be continued next week.

I looked for band memes on Pinterest. I posted to my blog, then made tea. We watched TV. I jotted notes for the day. I watched some videos on Facebook about inducing relaxation and sleep, then went to bed.

Warhammer

Saturday

I got up around 8. I made fiber gel and laid out the chia seed. I tried on the clothing from the swap shop. The fit was reasonable but they smelled like perfume so I threw them in the wash. I started reading messages. Chris went to Mass. Denise called and we talked about her quilt project. Chris came home from Mass. Later he gave me a massage. Then I took a shower and he started the laundry.

I ate fiber gel and read outside. Then I made and ate breakfast while reading messages. I made some templates for sewing class and cut a strip of Insulbrite for extra hearts if needed. Then I went to the chapel and set up the sewing stuff. Karen brought Wilhelm and Jedediah. They both wanted to make the heart-shaped potholder. Thankfully Wendy came to help. As they finished, their sisters arrived. But neither one of them wanted to make the project, so they all went home. I stayed to talk to Wendy and then we went home about 430.

I went back to reading messages and then someone called me to open the swap shop. So I went over there to unlock it. I dropped off some 5 gallon jugs. They looked through the shop to find the pair of shoes that came from the school lost and found. But they were truly lost. I invited them to Project Night.

I went home and tried on the pants I partly sewing last week. I had to take out more stitching. I took some measurements and put them in the stack to go to Project Night. Chris had slow-roasted some meat in the oven and also cooked some cabbage. I ate some of each, but the meat was so covered in fat that I didn't get much.

I went to the chapel at 7. I went in and turned on the lights. The ladies from the swap shop visit came with a man. Wendy came with a project. I got everyone set up. Then I went to the sanctuary for Rhythm Class. Only Janet came, but she brought her recorder. So we tried tapping drum sticks and blowing the rhythm on a note. Either B or C. It didn't match either on the piano. Anyway, she has come a long way.

After class, I went back to the fellowship hall to work on cutting out another pair of pants, a little larger this time. The young man talked excitedly about Warhammer. I texted John, knowing he would understand. But he was in Tooele at a Warhammer tournament. He said I could pass on his phone number so I did.

I got a second pair of pants cut out. Wendy made a potholder. Merrick painted a figure. Not sure what Casey and Cedric did. The ladies had their own projects that I didn't pay attention to. But we all packed up at 9 and headed out.

When I got home, I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then I read a few more e-mails and went to bed.

The search for cotton

Friday

I got up at 8. I made fiber gel and got ready for the day. I checked e-mail, then went to the chapel for Math Morning. I was a tad early, but the kids were already skating around the church. We all went in and sat down. Jedediah did not have his math coloring book, so he went to count chairs with his mother. The others looked like they were working, but I suspect it was for show. When the time was up, we packed up and went home.

I checked messages, then went to 403 to clean for an hour. I stopped at the post office for mail. I had to turn in a yellow slip and got into a conversation with the clerk. There was a package of supplements and a replacement of the missing part from the sauna.

I ate fiber gel, read, then made and ate breakfast. I made a grocery list and we went to the commissary. Then I texted Isadora who wanted to clean. I picked her up and we finished 403 in 50 minutes.

I stopped at the Swap shop to look for 100% cotton clothing, but when I saw the dirt and dust in the furniture room, I went back to my car for cleaning supplies and did some clean-up in that room. Then I went to the other room and found a pair of linen pants and 6 tops, one of which was torn. Shelly chatted for a moment after closing her shop and I agreed to lock up the swap shop.

Later, I went home, ate fiber gel, then posted for Project Night. Chris was gone gaming. I heated supper in the toaster oven and then ate while reading messages. I worked on my blog, then prepared for game night by taking pics of some notes. I took a jar of whey and headed over to Michelle's house.

Michelle and I talked for some time before I pulled up the game. I played through as much as I could, then looked at the notes I took. I went as far as the notes would take me, then it was 11, so I saved and exited the game. I thanked Casey and went home. Chris was still up. So we both went to bed.

Making the class samply on time

Thursday

I got up at 8. I got ready for the day. I did not practice because I could not breathe through my nose. I checked to see if Bible Study was advertised and it was not. So I took that as an indication that I should stay home.

I made up a week's worth of supplements. I checked e-mail and looked at potholder videos. I finally made my decision and downloaded a template. I traced it off of my screen. Then I cut it out. I went to my sewing room to choose fabrics. Always the longest part of the process. I cut out two hearts and 4 half hearts. I placed the pattern on some Insulbrite, then left.

I ate fiber gel. I read outside for 20 minutes or so. I came in, put on The Highwire, and made breakfast. I ate while watching it. But it ended all too soon at 1. So I went back to my sewing room, cut out three Insulbrite hearts, one for me and two for class. I sewed the half hearts together and added a strip of binding for color along the straight edge. Then I made a hanging loop and sandwiched it all together. I sewed around it and turned it inside out, pressed it, and topstitched it. I took pics of it flat, and in use. I posted them to Facebook for the class.

I texted John to come over and put the carpet cleaner in my trunk. I walked to the post office to get the mail. I got home by 3:30 and he came over after that. He then followed me to 403 and brought the cleaner inside. He worked on fans and wire shelves and tops of doorways while I finished the last bathroom and shampooed all the carpets. Then he left to pick up Michele. I stayed to vacuum and mop.

I went home at 545. I put the carpet cleaner back in its spot. I ate fiber gel, then put supper in the toaster oven. Chris came home with a pizza. I read messages and posted for Math Morning. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. He told me about getting referred for a job in DC that he doesn't remember applying for. I did a sauna session, then got ready for bed.

Trying the niacin/sauna protocol

Wednesday

I got up about 7:45 after not having slept well at all because of congestion. I prepared for coffee morning. After the preparations, and the coffee, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I mopped the floor and vacuumed the carpets.

Then I prepared the sauna, with towels and water and a few drops of tea tree oil. At first I still couldn't breathe, but before it ended, I was breathing fine. I could hardly smell the tea tree oil. I got out, dried the inside of the sauna and took a shower. I laid down for awhile, then read outside for 15 minutes or so. The congestion came back.

I took the binders I meant to take when I got out of the sauna. I made egg salad and jotted notes for my blog. I read some messages. I walked to the swap shop to open it for a family. They took 4 things from the furniture room – yay! Steve was walking by and talked to me for some time, mostly about what happens after the last parent dies.

I walked home. I assessed my options, then went to 650 to make sure the outside stuff had been taken care of. Then I went to 403 to clean for an hour or so.

I went home. Chris was making his supper. I read messages. I listened to a video on the niacin/sauna protocol. I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. We both read on our laptops and then went to bed.

Unexpected inspection

Tuesday

I got up before 8, NOT having slept well after the sauna. I practiced, did my squats, and ate an egg. I trimmed the patch on Chris' pants.  I went cleaning at 403. Butch came to fix the garage door facing. I worked in the kitchen.

At noon I came home, ate fiber gel, and read outside. I made breakfast and sat down to eat. As I checked e-mail, I saw that Jack had scheduled the inspection for 1pm, less than an hour away. I called Davis to make sure he had gotten the last two things done. Then I told him about the oil spots at 403.

I finished breakfast and went to 650 for the inspection. They looked around and found a few things I apparently missed. I wiped them. Also, there were things outside that they didn't like. Jack signed off on the inspection anyway on my assurance that these things would be taken care of.

After the inspection, I went to the gym to give Davis an envelop and to tell him the three things that didn't pass inspection. He agreed to do them and to let me know afterward. I went home for a while, then headed to Michelle's house to drop off the milk, and to Saronna's house to practice one of the hymns.

Then I went to 403 to finish the kitchen and start on the windows. Casey brought Isadora over just before 4:30. I set her to work in the back bathroom while I finished the windows and vacuumed the baseboards. When we had both finished, I took her home.

From there, I walked across the street and rang the doorbell. The man who answered had asked for a quote. So I looked around the kitchen, in the bathroom, at the windows and baseboards and came up with a figure. He seemed to be ok with it. So I told him to let me know when the signover was scheduled.

I went home. I ate fiber gel and put supper in the oven. Chris came home from work. He made his own supper. I read messages and watched a selection of videos on making heart-shaped potholders. Then I worked on my blog.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. We got into a discussion, so there wasn't time to use the sauna. We read for awhile and went to bed.

Sauna heat raises the heart rate

Monday

I got up after 7:30, having slept well. I took supplements and got ready for the day. I practiced, then picked two hymns and scanned them. I cleaned up the copy and printed them out. I made more breakfast mix.

I was headed out to clean when I spotted the cooler with milk and eggs. So I brought it in. I poured out half of the milk for Michelle. I heated the other half and put some LAB in it. I put it in the dehydrator to cure.

I went to 650, hoping to finish it. But two hours later, there was still the kitchen floor and laundry room to deal with. I went home for breakfast, stopping at 403 to drop off some cleaning supplies.

I read outside for a bit. I ate breakfast while reading e-mail. Later I went back to 650 to finish cleaning and clear out the rest of my cleaning supplies. I took them to 403. I spent over an hour cleaning in the kitchen there.

I went home to heat supper and eat while clearing more messages. I hoped to relax before band, but the break just wasn't long enough. Chris came home and I went to the chapel for band.

Keli already had the chapel open. Everyone was setting up. I went to the bathroom and then assembled my trombone. We played the hymns, and some extras, then some Broadway tunes. Wilhelm decided he liked playing snare. We particularly worked on When The Saints.  My lip ran out and I dismissed them.  I turned out the lights, locked the door, and stopped on the way home to get the mail.

I read e-mail and messages. Steve called to talk about helping a friend, and maybe have me clean parts of his apartment. I posted to my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds.  Then I separated the curds from the whey and put both in the fridge.

I got ready to use the sauna. Chris went to bed. I turned it on and spent at least half an hour, sweating really well and soaking 8 washcloths. Then I got out and turned it off. I wiped my skin down. I hung the washcloths up to dry out. I dried out the sauna and went to bed. But I didn't sleep for hours. Turns out sauna use raises the heartrate. Huh.

Sauna and swap shop

Sunday

I got up at 9, having slept really well. I took supplement and did my squats. I practiced the hymns for today. I picked a splinter out of my foot. I picked up a pillowcase to mend, then realized there was dark thread on the machine so I mended a pair of his pants first. He came in then and asked if I wanted a massage, and I did.

After the massage, he took his shower and I took mine. I ate fiber gel, then made cheese squares with the bacon he pulled out of the oven. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed, sliced up the cheese squares and put them in a container.

I went to church, and left the snack in the back. I worked with Keli on the hymns because she didn't know either of them. Then I assembled my trombone and sat down.

We sang three praise songs. There was a sermon about scriptures referring to the holy spirit. The band played two hymns, and then the chaplain gave out communion.

I talked to people, then went to the gym to turn on the sauna. On my way home, I unlocked the swap shop for Samantha.

When I got home, I read e-mail, ate nuts, and put on my bathing suit. I packed my sauna bag with a towel and two bottles of water. When I got to the gym, I found Michelle already in the sauna. We started talking. Janet joined us. The three of us talked and sweated for some time. Janet went home. Michelle and I stayed a little later, then got out and showered. We kept talking. We walked outside. She gave me a bag of jars. I went to the swap shop to lock up. I ran into a police officer who had just found the doors open and had locked them. We chatted and I went home.

I changed out of my wet suit. I hung up the towel and signed into the game. I ate fiber gel and chatted along with the others. Then I ate supper as we played the game. The GM threw a battalion or more of skeletons at us and we fought them for several hours. Then everyone signed out. Chris put supper away. I had been working on VMIS during the game and continued afterward for another half hour.

I posted to my blog and made tea. We watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I put away a stack of laundry. We dressed the bed with clean sheets. We read on our laptops, then we went to bed.

Well-attended Project Night

Saturday

I got up at 8. I took supplements and practiced. Chris took a shower and went to Mass. I scanned some hymns for tomorrow and cleaned up the copy, then printed them out. Sounds simple, but with 20 year old equipment, it wasn't.

I went to the swap shop to open it for someone, then left to go clean at 650 for two hours. Then I went home to eat fiber gel, shower, and sit outside and read. Then I made and ate breakfast. I watched videos on cleaning fiberglass bathtubs and a video on a walkthrough of the game.

At nearly 3, I went back to lock the swap shop. I had to unblock a door that people had put stuff in front of. I also brought a toilet brush to clean pet hair off of a padded bench. But apparently someone already took it – as is. Then I went to 650 to clean the tubs like I'd seen on the videos, and mop floors. After two hours, I went home.

I ate fiber gel and read messages. I worked on my blog. I ate supper and read messages. Then I collected some spools of cotton thread and my two projects in a bag. I brought my sewing bag and my trombone to the chapel for Project Night.

I left my trombone upfront and went to the fellowship hall to get started. Michele and John came. Then Michelle brought Isadora. Casey came with Cedric and Anca came with her two little girls. Anca wanted to change the sleeves on a dress. Her two little girls asked for fabric to make little things. Casey set up Mario so Michelle could play. John worked on figs while Michele did something that didn't last long. Then she laid on a table and watched Michelle play. I cut and re-sewed a dress that came in the mail.

John and Michele left. Anca finished taking off the sleeves and they left. I packed up by 9, then Casey left and Michelle walked out with me. We agreed to go to the dry sauna tomorrow.

I went home. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I added to my blog post for today and posted for yesterday. I was so tired, that I skipped the sauna and went to bed.
