Shampooing carpets - Day 2 (and Talent Night)

Thursday

I woke up early in faint daylight to use the bathroom. I hoped to go back to sleep but it didn't happen. I got up soon after 7. I used my list of morning things and got it all done and thought of more. I also vacuumed the bedroom and moved some stuff so I could shampoo in the corner.

I pulled jars of yogurt from the fridge and one dropped. Sadly it was one of my best jars, which are squat and stackable. Glass and yogurt everywhere and me in bare feet. But I cleaned it up. Then got ready for Bible Study.

I went to the chapel and three ladies were waiting for me to open the door. We went in and sat for study. Then Erynne showed up while we were reading the 24th chapter of Genesis.

Afterward, I went home to shampoo some more. I taped red film to the window so it will be dark at night. I went to help clean at the swap shop. I went home to make breakfast and watch The Highwire. I took a break to lay in the sun when it came out. Then I fimished watching The Highwire.

To replace the spilled yogurt, I used whipping cream because I was out of milk. I innoculated the cream with probiotic capsules. I added the remaining cream to other ferments. I made tea for kombucha. I went to chapel to help move stands to the club, but the stands and stuff had already been carried out. So I went home and shampooed some more. I also cleaned my trombone slide.

I got dressed in jeans and a t-shirt as the members of the band agreed. I went to the club. The other band members were there. We got ready to play. But first there were two Mexican dances. Then we played Everybody Wants to be a Cat while wearing headbands with cat ears. We also played Get Me to the Church on Time with the chaplain singing and wearing a suit and top hat. He also did impressions of Archie and Edith Bunker, a handful of presidents, and some Dugway people. The band played again, then someone sang a song in Spanish. We sang Happy Birthday to Elizabeth, our new violin player. After that, it was karaoke until 8 and we packed up. I helped put stands in Keli's truck. Others carried the keyboard. Chaplain and I followed her to the chapel and helped her unload.

I went home, put leftovers in the toaster oven. I watered the plants and changed clothes. I picked up the bedroom. I viewed the pictures that Michelle took tonight of the band. I took a book and went to Michele's house to feed their cat. I came home and watched Call the Midwife. Then I posted to my blog and got ready for bed.
