Kids love bags

Saturday

I got up just before 7, having been awake for awhile. Like yesterday, it took a while to fall asleep and I am not sure how much I got. I went out to the kitchen to start the usual. I read e-mail while swishing. Then the power went off at 8. Chris took a shower and we went to Tooele. We shopped at the usual places. Macey's had big tomato plants so I got two. Then we went home, listening to our book on CD.

I got really sleepy, so when we got to the commissary, I slept in the car while Chris went inside. He also stopped at the post office, but there was no mail. When we got home, we carried the groceries inside. Chris put them away while I laid down.

He came back to the bedroom when the power came back on just before noon, all as scheduled. I got up and made breakfast while he boiled eggs. I read e-mail as I ate.

At 1:20 I chose some fabric and got my sewing stuff together. He loaded the machines in my car, and we went to the chapel. He carried stuff in and I set up the machines in the fellowship hall, making sure each machine was threaded and had proper tension.

Tonja arrived and wrote instructions on the board. Saronna and her kids showed up, and another boy. We cut the fabric, and helped them sew. Isodora came late with pajama pants to finish. Jedidiah was so cute as he put pins back in the pin cushion. Jen helped move the machines back to my car. It took longer than usual, so we went home late.

I sat down to read e=mail. The power blipped, so I decided to make muffins before something worse happened. Well, the power went out again before I cracked the first egg. But, being hopeful, I went ahead with the recipe. Chris lit a burner with a match and cooked mushrooms. I went to Tonja's house to grind the flax seeds and give her reciepts.

She remarked how happy the kids were with their new bags.

When I got home, I ate some mushrooms, and mixed the flax in with the eggs. I read outside till the light faded, then suggested we take the popcorn maker and a movie to his office. So we did. However the movie wouldn't play on his work computer so eventually he went home and got his laptop. We watched “Interstellar”. He turned off the lights.....

It was over at midnight. We packed up and went home. I jotted notes for my blog. Then we went to bed.

** He loves his job of collecting pins. **

The game is finished!

Friday

I got up before 8, not sure how well I slept. I know I listened to two rounds of the BWE before turning off the headphones. I did the usual first stuff, then listened to podcasts. I went to the company house at 9 to start the laundry. I searched the house for towels that weren't in the pile. It looked like their personal stuff was still here.

I went home, read more e-mail and articles, and went back to put sheets in the dryer and towels and bathmats in the washer. The bathroom light was on and I thought I turned it off. I went home. After more reading, I made and ate breakfast, then went back to dress the beds and put the towels in the dryer. I hung up the bathmats to dry.

At home, I put sheets in my washer, and wrote invoice for April and emailed it. I made a grocery list. I read e-mail until Chris came home from writing his sitrep. He was frustrated that it took longer than he anticipated. He asked if we could go to Tooele tomorrow morning instead. Since the power is scheduled to be off until noon, I agreed.

I went back to the company house to finish the towels and take out the trash. My back was bothering me so I didn't do any cleaning or vacuuming. The personal items were gone. When I got home, I went for a walk to the swap shop and back.

I read an article on planting by the phase of the moon. Plant beets, potatoes, etc now, and above ground veggies during waxing moon. I played audios and puzzles.

Finally I had supper at 6. I watches a video on deep fakes. It is distressing to see how easy technology makes fake videos seem completely real. I worked on my blog, then listened to an interview on fasting before menopause vs fasting after menopause.

At 8 I took the water container and a baggie of sprouts to Michelle's house. Casey was getting the game up on the monitor. She and I talked for a little while till it was up. The kids were still up so I chatted with them, too, and they made suggestions on the game. With a little help, I won the last 3 games, not realizing that was the end. But when the lights flashed and a trophy appeared on the screen, it was an exciting moment. But also a little sad.

It was also 11pm, so we wrapped up our conversation, and I took the full water container home. It was too heavy, so I left it in the car. I came inside, turned off the router, and got ready for bed.

Getting ready for the full moon

Thursday

I got up before 8. After the usual, I sat down to go through e-mail. Then I put on a podcast. I laid out a week's worth of supplements. I listened while I ground up papaya seeds and added black walnut powder and wormwood. I filled a bunch of capsules with the mixture - all ready for the full moon tomorrow.

I listened to an interview on gardening. I paused it to go out and water the peas. I also watered some gopher holes but saw no activity. At noon I made and ate breakfast while watching The Highwire. Then I went to Mickie's house. She gave me a tomato plant and we talked for some time. She also gave me some of her tomato fertilizer.

It was almost 3:30 so I had to run home. I put up the tomato plant and put on my walking shoes. When I got to the gym, it was just Michelle. We walked the track for almost an hour, not noticing the time. I gave her a week's worth of hydrogen tablets to try.

Then I went to the swap shop to see Tonja. Rebecca was there helping to organize. I walked around, looking and chatting. I found two pairs of shoes. I took pics here and there. Then I went home.

I heated leftovers for supper, adding crushed garlic. I listened to a podcast on soil microbes while eating. Chris came home with a pizza and a commander's coin from a visiting general. I posted the next sewing class to the community page.

I worked on my blog, then made and ate a salad. I heated tea. We watched two episodes of SG1. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up till 10:30, then headed to bed myself.

Wrapping sticks with copper wire

Wednesday

I got up just after 7. I made coffee with the filtered coffee grounds, then filtered more for next week. I emptied the coffee bag into a jar. Examination of the coffee bag did not show the inner lining breaking down. Hmm.

After exercising, meditating and tapping, I turned to housework. I cleaned the bathrooms and started on the kitchen. Chris came home for lunch. We discussed the colonel wanting us to watch his movers as they packed. Chris left for work as I finished washing dishes and wiping countertops. I vacuumed the den and livingroom, then showered, and finished the hall and bedroom. I watered the plants and changed water for the cuttings. Some of the sprouts got transferred to potting soil to become microgreens. I cut off the leggy sweet potato vines and put them in the compost.

I sat down to go through e-mail. At 3:30 I went to the gym to walk with the ladies. Tiffany gave me a bag of seed that Mickie left for me. The ladies walked the track for half an hour, covering 1.5 miles. Tonja went home, but Michelle and I stayed to work out in the weight

room. Actually, I worked out and Michelle kept me entertained.

On the way to our cars, we met a lady who is only here for a few weeks. We had a nice chat with her, then we went home. I cued up a podcast, and listened while wrapping sticks with copper wire. I found some articles on electroculture. The colonel called Chris concerning a website that Michelle put up.

I jotted notes for my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of SG1. Later Chris went to bed and I stayed up to finish some podcasts. Then I went to bed with my headphones on.

Kombucha is in

Tuesday

I got up around 7. After the usual, I read e-mail, and listened to a audio. I laid on the inversion table a few times, adjusting it. Still not all that comfortable. I watered the peas outside. I changed water for cutting. I disbursed some dry coffee grounds into plant pots. I soaked seeds for growing microgreens. I made unflavored gelatin and added orange EO.

At noon I made and ate breakfast. I met Arzu at 1 for a quote. Her place was pretty clean so I suggested that I come the day before her inspection and do a little scrubbing here or there. She could pay me by the hour and it should pass inspection. I stayed to discuss health topics that we were both interested in. Saronna texted that she wasn't ready to play today. So then I went straight home. I ate some fruit, and read e-mail and articles. At 3:30 I met Diane and Tonja to go walking at the school. I stayed after to talk to Tonja.

I went home and started looking up sesame sprouts to answer the question that if I am sensitive to sesame seeds, would I still be sensitive to sesame sprouts? Jamie texted that she wanted to come over and work in my yard, I said yes, then the commissary called to say the kombucha I ordered was in. So I went outside. I talked to Jamie who had just arrived, then went to the commissary and bought the kombucha. They only had 6 of the 12 bottles I ordered. I talked to Saronna who was there with her kids, then went home.

When I got home, I talked to Jamie again, and went inside. Chris came home and talked to Jamie on his way in. I wrapped a stick with copper wire and stuck it in the compost pile. I pulled out the wheelbarrow and took it to Jamie. She needed a tire pump for it, and was going to to home to get one and some kratom. But I had both so I went inside and got them.

Chris had cooked quinoa so I made a bowl of that and ground beef for supper. I went back to listening to interviews. Jamie let me know that she was done and had put the wheelbarrow away. I took a break at 7:30 to write my blog post. At 8 I made tea and we watched two episodes of SG1. It wasn't yet 10, but Chris went to bed. I stayed up to read more, thinking I would quit early, but it was still 11 before I headed to bed.

Finally, shirt and shorts weather

Monday

I got up before 7:30, not having slept well. Was it something I ate at the potluck? I did the usual morning stuff, rinsing, brushing, etc. Arzu texted me to set a time for a quote. I read some articles and listened to podcasts. I set up the ironing board and ironed scraps of fusible to cover the holes in my nightgown. I also ironed some incredibly wrinkly fabric that Tonja gave me to iron.

I put up the ironing board and made breakfast. I continued to listen as I ate. Chris came home for lunch, then went back. At 3:30 I went to the gym to walk with Diane and Michelle. It was shirt and shorts weather (my favorite), but windy. As we were finishing our laps, Charity came by. We discussed Michelle's new website.

I went to pick up Sophia. She had the 6th grade math book. We went through the first few sections of that. Then I had her clean the tub. And we took dirt from gopher mounds to fill in old holes. At 6, I took her home, then returned. I talked with Chris as he cooked ground beef and mushrooms. I listened to talks from the Exercise over 40 summit.

I worked on my blog. I made a salad and ate it, then made tea. We watched two episodes of SG1. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to finish a podcast.

Potluck

Sunday

I woke up early and could not go back to sleep. I got up at 8. I took drops and watered the plants. I rinsed the mung beans which had sprouted already. I brushed and swished, then took the first supplements. Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. He took his shower and I whipped up a batch of cheese and eggs. I scooped it into a mini muffin form and put it in the oven. Then I took my shower. When the egg muffins were done, they needed to sit in the form for awhile, so I took the rest and made cheese squares.

I made and ate breakfast then got dressed for church. We went to the LDS church near post. I sat with Michelle and Isodora while Chris and the other heads of Dugway talked to the assembled people about getting 1 year limited passes to Dugway. It was interesting and I figured people would ask me questions later so I needed to know. Afterwards, we hung around talking.

Then Chris dropped me off at home and went to the office. I picked up my cheese muffins and squares and my trombone and went to the chapel. Brian and Johnnie were just walking up. We went in together. Sgt King was back from paternity leave, and Pastor Josh came with his guitar player. Other people arrived as we talked. I assembled my trombone.

So the guitar player did three songs, ending with a hymn that I couldn't follow because it was so different the way he played it. Then Josh gave the sermon from Philippians. Then Saronna joined me up front and her daughter brought her djimba (drum). We played two hymns by request. Then everyone hung around talking while a few of us set up for the potluck. A number of people didn't know or forgot about it so I was a little worried. But we all sat down to eat and there was food left over. So it must have been ok.

I sat and discussed issues at the men's table. Jenni was there for a bit, then headed home, as did others. So finally it was John, Russ and I. When 4pm came, we broke up and headed out. When I got home, Chris said the evening game was off. Sigh. I was so dehydrated that I drank water and kombucha and ate fruit. Then I read and listened to articles and podcasts.

Finally I stopped to type up my activities for the day. I ate some salad, then made tea. We watched several episodes of SG1, then made the bed with clean sheets. Chris went to bed and I stayed up a little later.
