It's in the mail

I got up late. I swished while bringing in rain water to boil on the stove since I read that a coffee pot can leach BPA. I spent the morning filling out quilt show forms. I have been procrastinating all week so I forced myself to finish filling out the forms, writing the blurbs, printing the photos, stapling and putting it all in a large packet which went in the mailbox with two stamps on it. Then I ladled hot water out of the pot and boiled more. I read through a lot of liver and gallbladder cleanses. I juiced green beans, celery, carrots and a cucumber. I cleaned up, and then meditated. I made and ate breakfast. I concocted a paste with bentonite, charcoal, papaya seed, vitamin c powder and whey. I spread that on my face and went outside for some sunshine while it dried. The plants did not need watering after all the rain yesterday. One tomato plant had its top eaten off even though it was inside the fence. I noticed the grass is growing so am looking forward to a new mower. I put the cooled water in jugs. I listened to audios and cleared e-mail. Jennifer agreed to adopt my kefir grains when I leave for Korea. Chris skyped me. We talked and he sang to me. I went outside to enjoy the last of the sunshine. I found a marigold growing in the driveway so I replanted it where one had died a few weeks ago. I pulled up some grass growing over the sidewalk. I brought the vacuum in to join the donate pile. I moved some of the Honduras stuff away from the donate pile. I came upstairs to get the kitchen garbage. I got sidetracked with e-mail. An hour later I remembered the garbage and took it downstairs to add what was in the basement and to throw it in the garbage can. The fruit flies were then on the scent of the kefir. They clustered on top of the paper towel that covered it. I clapped my hands above it and killed three of them. I researched salt water flushes. I drank a quart of warm water with salt in it. It tasted pretty good. I sat down to watch an episode of X-Files. No flushing occurred so I drank more water and watched a movie called A Joyful Noise. I like musicals. Still no flushing, but my back hurt. I posted to my blog and went to bed.

Rainy Day

I woke up in the night hearing the wind and rain. Eventually I went back to sleep, and did not want to get up when the alarm went off. I got up later to drink and swish and check e-mail. I put out the rain collection tubs. I had just done my exercises and was washing vegetables to juice when the power went off. I waited a little for it to come on. I heard the AC click but the blower did not start. It must have a battery in it. I sat in my chair to relish the feeling of no electronic waves, when it occurred to me that the cell towers might be working. So I called Chris and got his voice mail. Not sure if that meant anything, I called Denise and she answered. I did not talk long because I only had two bars on my phone. I ate some of the veggies and put the rest in the fridge. I sat to meditate, but got caught in thoughts of 'what if this is how it starts?' Armageddon, the end of the world, etc. Then I thought I might go to quilting early, but maybe they didn't have power either. Then I heard police sirens and thought of the traffic lights being out. I decided to make breakfast. I could not boil water to clean the nuts, but they probably don't really need that. But what about grinding the flax and chia seeds? I wondered if I could use the lawn mower battery to power the grinder. Then I remembered that there were outlets in my car. I had just filled the grinder with seeds and was walking to the door when the lights came on. I immediately plugged in my phone to recharge, in case the power went out again. Denise had said a storm was on its way. I quickly made breakfast and ate it listening to an audio on the laptop, and working a sudoku puzzle. I read e-mail. One was selling software where subliminal messages flash on your computer screen. I figured it should be simple enough to write my own program with a hint or two. I googled that but did not find what I wanted. Lots of programs were for sale however. I threw out a slimy coconut ( I didn't know they did that). I went down to check the basement for water, and stayed to sew the long strips together to finish a quilt top in case the world ended, or if I wanted to add borders. I decided which quilts to enter in the show. I made copies of the patterns that I picked up Tuesday. I wondered if I had anything to show for all the hours I spend reading articles on the web. I printed four quilt show entry forms, and measured the quilted items except for the pulpit cloth. I brought in the mail. A packet contained kefir grains. They looked like squashed cauliflower florets. I put them in goat milk. I made up a week's worth of supplements. I worked downstairs flitting from one thing to another. I tried to finish a quilt project, I sorted scraps, I moved fabric around, I filled a box with bias tape and rickrack and blanket binding. None of it seemed to make a dent in what needs to be done. I swept the bathroom downstairs which was covered in debris from when the guys put up a new ceiling. Finally I came upstairs to have supper. I peeled and ate an egg. While I was making a salad, Chris called on Skype. He said he'd had three beers. He sang to me and we talked until he hung up because he was falling asleep. I kinda felt sleepy myself. I was listening to an audio while I notice Kurt had e-mailed me. So I skype-texted him. We chatted about how to code a macro to run notepad. He tried to talk me through it the way he would do it, but my computer was running different software in a different fashion. We got pretty close though. Then Notepad decided saving was illegal somehow. It was after 11 so I told him we could try again tomorrow. Then I posted and went to bed.

Not a topic for tea parties

I had trouble sleeping last night because my insides were working overtime to digest the olive oil. It tasted like salad dressing, which went down pretty good after not eating much. I finally did fall asleep but woke up in the night hearing loud wind and rain. I fell asleep again, then woke before 5 I think. When you gotta go, you gotta go. At 5:30 it was over and I noticed daylight creeping in. So I checked on the spider and he was sitting there calmly. I went back to bed until 6. Then it and it's web were gone. I drank the 3rd draught of epsom salt water and went back to bed. I dreamed that Michele called me from the beach so I popped over. I was surprised they could see me since I wasn't really there, but we were interacting. I stayed in bed until my alarm went off at 8. I drank the last draught of epsom salt water and got on my computer to jot some notes. I went to the bathroom again. It felt like I had eaten hot peppers yesterday. I saw the small green stones people talked about on Youtube. But mine were smaller and not impressive in any way. I did my usual Wednesday detox protocol with exercise and coffee. I had audios playing during the whole time. In one video the woman looked amazingly like she was in her twenties but was in her forties. She worked out only 10 minutes a day. I worked two Sudoku puzzles, and then passed what looked like a small tapeworm. I made and ate breakfast. I skipped juicing cause Denise wanted me to come over and it was taking too long. I took a shower just before Denise called saying she needed a ride home from dropping off her truck at the mechanic. I put boxes and packing paper in the car, and empty water cartons. i watered the plants quickly. I drove to meet her on Jordan and followed her to the mechanic to drop off the truck, then drove her to her house. We sorted through her quilting fabrics and projects, packing and labeling them. I drove her back to pick up her truck, which she decided not to fix when she heard how much it would be. We went back to packing. She gave me a cutting mat she did not want. Her husband came home and loaded the boxes into their trailer. She let me fill my water jugs from her water filter which is better than mine. My dad called while I was filling the jugs and I missed his call. I drove home and called him back while ricing my foot. Then I made a sweet potato leaf salad with tomatoes and lettuce. I also ate the last of the meat, and the pulp from the grapefruit that I squeezed last night. I caught up on e-mail, and then watched an episode of X-Files. I realized that the discs were out of order so that's why they are looking for Mulder even though he has already been found. I posted to my blog and went to bed.

Collecting license plates

I woke up before 8, started swishing with toothpowder and went back to bed. Still before 8, I got up to turn on the computer and print something I had seen on a math website that I thought would make an interesting quilt. Denise called to say her husband wanted to move a trailer-load of belongings this weekend and could I come over and help her pack (or at least supervise)? I said I might come over tomorrow and definitely on Thursday. Then I did my exercises and took the Vit C. I watered the plants. I renewed the X-Files DVD. I called the church to make sure Art and I could use the computer.
I got my stuff for this afternoon together and took it with me to quilting. They had row-by-row patterns on the table. I picked up a few and some Roma tomatoes that someone had brought in. We talked about fabric license plates with Beverly. I called William and asked if he could check Quilter's Corner for theirs and he did. I stopped at the Asian (and more) store for kimbap. I ate it at home with the last of the kimchi. It was especially good today. I read some e-mail, and checked for other quilt shops in the Richmond area. I wondered if I had friends in every state so I could collect a whole set. I drove to church to meet Art at 1. The secretary was just leaving. I used her computer to enter all the contributions for July. By then it was 2:40 and he had not shown up to do first quarter with me. Well, I had some of first quarter so I entered two sheets. I also corrected some inaccuracies. Then I shut down the computer and turned off all the lights. I drove to the farmer's market already in progress. I bought goat milk and spent a long time talking to the lady about kefir, which she is doing also. Then I wandered around and bought cucumbers, peppers, and tomatoes. I did not see the meat vendor or the hydroponic man. I brought my food home in an insulated rolling tote. When I brought in the mail, there was a small box. I was thrilled to get the kefir grains so fast. Except that when I opened the box, it was not kefir grains, it was a stainless steel water bottle. Sigh. I read e-mail. One article talked about a doctor that cured every polio patient that came to him with mega doses of vitamin C (in 1948). But when he presented a paper on the subject, no one would listen. I read several articles in a tapping e-mail and tapped along. At 6 I drank the first draught of epsom salt water for a gallbladder cleanse. I was hungry and wanted to eat, but the plan called for fasting after 2. I tapped along to another video. Then took a break to go outside and warm up. Chris must have called during that time, because when I checked to see if my phone was charged, there was a message. I called him back and we talked until I heard skype on my laptop. It was Michele, She formed a group call by signaling Chris. So we all got to talk. Appearances were made by Olivia, William, Cecily, Al, Mike, Becca and James. It was almost a reunion. Chris hung up to go to bed and I stayed up to chat with Michele and Olivia. After the call, I watched an episode of X-Files, drank the olive oil and grapefruit juice called for by the new cleanse I am trying and went immediately to bed.

Hot day, cold room

I got up after 8, not feeling energetic. I searched my old purses for cash to put money in the mail for the kefir grains I ordered. I got dressed and watered the plants. I rubbed arnica on my foot. I read e-mail and exercised while watching a video (but I don't remember which one). I juiced cucumbers and carrots. I made and ate breakfast. I was almost ready to go when Denise called wanting to order magnesium oil. I said I had a new bottle unopened, and she could come by the church to pick it up. I got to the church after 12:30. Half the parking lot was roped off. I wheeled my sewing stuff inside. I set up next to Bertha. I drew x's on half of my light squares. Then I pinned and sewed squares together on all 4 sides. I carefully cut on the lines and pressed them open. Denise stopped by to pick up magnesium oil. She took a pic of the hexecontahedron which I brought to show off, and various quilt projects in progress. She mentioned undercover videos of Planned Parenthood which I hadn't heard of. She said her father's foot was not doing so well. After she left, Sheryl came by, and later her husband. They asked about my foot. I guess they are ready for some more organizing. It was freezing in that room, so I started packing up to leave. Chris called while I was packing up, asked if I thought it was worth $800 for him to fly down here for the weekend. At the risk of insulting him, I said I didn't this it was, but would support him him in making a different decision. I finished a few conversations in the room, then went home. I got the mail, then ate tomatoes and sweet potato leaves. I sent the bills to Chris, then read e-mail. I watered plants because they were looking peaked. I looked online for the Planned Parenthood videos. I watched two of them and tried to watch the 3 hours version of one but … it was hard to hear. Chris had said he was going to call me back but I must have missed his call. I listened to part one of Dr. Gonzalez' really long lecture. I stopped it at 9 to watch an episode of X-Files while 'rice'ing my foot. Then I resumed listening to Dr. Gonzales. He spoke of healing with vitamins and minerals – separate sets depending on whether the sympathetic or parasympathetic system was dominant. He also said cancer comes from stem cells that go berzerk, and can be calmed by pancreatic enzymes. He gave all the historical references and credits to the people who discovered this. i got several Sudoku puzzles done and even took notes. When it was over, I e-mailed the link to Denise. Then I posted to my blog and went to bed.

New assignment

I lost the first part of my blog notes when I rebooted my computer. It needed it in order to get the DVD software working again. While it was rebooting, I took a shower and made breakfast. I ate it while reading the latest e-mail. Then I got dressed. By then it was too late to make the 9:30 discernment meeting. Did I mention that Chris called from DC this morning? Marie picked him up at the airport last night and she picked up Michele this morning. I did a few errands around the house and left on time for the 10:45 service. One of the errands was to fix Margie's top. It needed a flower sewn back on. It had been sewn with a bead in the center but I could not find a red bead anywhere, so I used a really small piece of red tape. I put it in a bag to give to her at church. As I stepped out of the house, I realized the plants needed their morning watering. As I did that, I got my feet wet and went to church that way. I got there in time to do deliver the bag and speak to a few people. Tamara left the two sheet sets I ordered in my pew. People asked me about them after church. I guess not many people knew her daughter was selling sheets as a fund raiser for cheerleading. After church, I went to Publix for groceries. I did not buy many because I already have food in the house and will be going to the farmer's market on Tuesday. I was amazed at all the different kinds of water for sale. What will they sell next? Air? When I got home and carried in the groceries, I also took vacuum out of the car. For lunch I ate an egg and 2 figs. I changed clothes, and went sewing. First I made a backing for the top I was turning in. Then I picked out squares to make the next pattern (as shown in the pic). Lynette regaled us with the tale of a conversation she had with her husband. William called while I was packing up. Then I went home to drop off my sewing machine and get some water. I drove to the church to meet Art to count the offering. I conversed with him as I worked. And the numbers did not add up. I found my mistakes, and still was $5 off. It turned out that one check was split two ways and did not cover both. So it wasn't my fault. Then we agreed to meet Tuesday to put the numbers on the computer. I drove home. I read e-mail, and looked at my quilts, wondering which ones to put in the show. We can only have 4. I asked Jeanne this morning if I could show the pulpit cloth with the dove and she said yes. I shredded the offering envelops and spread them on the garden.
Chris called so we talked until he fell asleep. I ate yucca root for supper. Then I meditated with rice on my foot. I checked on spider and saw that his web was bigger than ever. I drank lots of water, and put arnica on my foot. I tried to play a Dvd, but the software crashed. A different software program did not do any better. So I took the disc out and washed it. Then it played just fine in the first player. I watched one episode of X-Files and was mighty tempted to watch a second one. But I exited the program. I drank some epsom salt water. Blech! I posted to my blog and went to bed.

All the good water is gone

I stayed in bed through the alarm. Later, I turned on the laptop and router. I cleared some e-mail. I got dressed and put the tax bills in the mail. On the way back, I watered the plants. I brought in the houseplants on the front porch. I wrote two checks: one went in the mail and the other will go to church. I read the usual articles about cancer, gmo’s, depression, herbs, etc.
I looked for quilts I could enter in the quilt show, first on my blog, then on Pinterest, then in my quilt storage. I looked up the rules to see if my hexecontahedron fit any of the categories. I turned down the signature one I made for Chris last year because some of the people who signed it might not want it so public. Chris called from the San Francisco airport. He had been awake for 20 hours and was waiting for his flight to DC. I put on my suit and sun bathed. Then I got dressed and brought in the mail. That was when I found packages on the front porch – Swansons and Amazon – got my 100 pk size 12 needles for when I go to Korea, and the arnica cream. I rubbed some on my foot. I looked up ‘conta’ but did not find a good definition. I did find out that the hexecontahedron shape was found in a quasicrystal aggregate of Al6 Li3 Cu. I tried to research that, but kept getting sites that required a subscription fee. I wanted to know the physical properties that the configuration gave the substance. William called to say the mower batteries had arrived. I read an article on the hexecontahedron being derived from the triacontahedron – which had a beautiful drawing of 12 tria’s fitting into one hexe. I looked into buying kefir grains, but wondered what happens to them when we move? Starter packets are more expensive, but may travel better. Reviews say the kefir grains make better kefir than the starter packets. I ate a bowl of sprouts for supper. I looked into uses for mineral water. That search devolved into off-topics. I brought in the sheet from the garden. I washed the bedsheets first, in hot water, then I washed the rest of the laundry in cold water, When the sheets were done, I re-dressed the bed. I read an article about the importance of water in the diet and making ATP in the cells. I checked the back door at 8:10 – no spider, no web. I checked again at 8:30. He was sitting calmly in his completed web. I watched a talk by Dr. Gonzalez while drinking glass after glass of water: first the purified water, then the mineral water, and then filtered water. I tried to watch X-Files but the laptop would not run any of the programs that play DVD’s. I folded laundry while listening to a little more of Dr. Gonzalez’ 2 hour lecture. Then I took the next DVD back to the computer room and watched an episode there. Too late it occurred to me that that computer is not running f.lux which blocks blue light after sundown. I washed my feet, posted to my blog and went to bed.
