Sewing and Craft Fellowship

Last night I used the mp3 headphones to put me to sleep. It was the wrong song and it didn't work. Eventually I flipped the switch off and rolled over. I forgot to invert the wooden skewers sitting in essential oil. I slept on and off through the night. I got up at 8. Chris was already playing his game.

I started with protein tablets. I brushed and swished. I check e-mail, and looked up an answer for Kurt. I asked Chris for a coconut oil massage and we got into a discussion. After half an hour of reading e-mail, I got my massage. Afterward, I took terrahydrite, and made breakfast, then waited to eat it. William called about shoes he'd found at the thrift store. I noticed the shed door had blown open. I dashed out to shut and secure it. Then got back to the house and realized I was locked out. I didn't want to run to the front door in my nightgown, so I pounded on the door until Chris opened it.

I took a shower and got dressed. I put together a set of Christmas fabrics to go with the projects I was bringing. I also looked for my lace and trims box, but did not find it. I haven't seen it since the first time we lived in Huntsville. I cut some strips and drew 18 copies of Template 3. I packed up my sewing machine and notions in the rolling cart.

Chris put the sewing machine in the back of my car, and the box. It was a very windy day. I put on a light jacket and drove to the post office to pick up the mail, and then went to the chapel. I unlocked the door, then moved all my stuff into the fellowship hall. I was 20 minutes early on purpose. I called Chris to ask if I should leave the door unlocked for others to come in, even though I could not monitor it from the fellowship hall. But I could not get him on the phone. I called several times over the next hour.

I set up the project pieces on a table. I set up my machine nearby. I sewed and cut the strips that I had brought. When no one showed up, I called Johnnie to find out if anyone posted to the Dugway Facebook page at the last minute. She didn't think so. She offered to come over so I sewed until she arrived. We had a nice conversation and then Heather joined us. She had her own project to work on. It was an interesting afternoon. When I was alone, I thought 3pm would never come. But with two women to talk to, it became 4pm in a flash. About 4:30 our little

party broke up. I left last so I could turn off the lights and make sure the doors were locked. Chris finally called me back but I told him I'd be home soon. It was still windy and cooler than before so I was glad to have a coat, and would not have turned down a warmer one.

When I got home, he had done the laundry and had supper in the oven. He had traded out parts from his old laptop to a new one that arrived yesterday. I ate some seed crackers with salsa to tide me over till supper was done. I put on an interview and cut out the little blue kite shapes that I traced this morning. I checked e-mail and looked at red origami paper on Ebay. The best product for my purpose was from China and might not get here until Christmas, which would be too late.

When the sweet potatoes were ready, I ate one with the last of the leftover kimchi. Tasty! I went through more e-mail, trying to get that unread count down. When I noticed it was 8:30, I asked Chris about TV and he said he'd be ready soon. So I made my evening drink, taking extra magnesium capsules instead of powdered magnesium. First we watched “On an Island with You”. More accurately, we watched the second half, which was damaged on disc from last time. Then we watched one episode of Hart of Dixie. Then I sat down to make sense of my blog notes and get ready for bed.

Shopping in Salt Lake City

I didn't get much sleep last night, partly from going to bed so late and partly from hot flashes. When my alarm rang, I discovered Chris had already gotten up, and was playing his game.

I got my day started with supplements, taking the last of the molecular hydrogen. In between supplements, I looked for the template for the next piece of the quilt. I looked all over. I made a quart of tea. I wrote up my blog notes and posted a screen pic with it. Then I restarted Waterfox and it worked so much better. I posted a reminder to the Dugway page for the sewing class tomorrow. I moved the sleep track to the mp3 headphones so I wouldn't have to use my phone to play it at night.

After breakfast, I looked for the magnets for the sewing project tomorrow. They should have been in my sewing case, but for some reason they were not. I looked everywhere I thought they could be. My current thought is that they are stuck to something metal, and that is scary in a house full of computerized devices.

When Chris was ready, I put on shoes and we went through Toole to SLC to the Asian market for kimchi and kimbap. I got a few other things as well. We shared two packages of kimbap on the way back to Tooele. We shopped at Luckey's first, then Melanie's. But she did not have molecular hydrogen. Then I went to Joanns to look for magnets. I found some but not the kind I thought would work best. Then we went to Macey's for the rest of the items on our list.

On the way home, I nearly fell asleep listening to the book on CD. When we arrived, I helped carry the food inside. It was already dark out. I laid in the recliner, but sadly couldn't fall asleep. I put a bowl of pork and soup in a bowl in the toaster oven. I ate some seed crackers with salsa. That was pretty good. I ate supper, and checked e-mail. The unread count is now over 1000. I deleted a bunch, then listened to some tapping audios while ironing the next fabric to be cut for the quilt.

When Chris was done gaming with the Friday night folks, he let me know that he was ready to watch TV. I was in the middle of an audio, but I paused it and made a magnesium tea. We finished the episode from last night and watched one more. Then I wrote my blog post for today, and listened to the wind howl. I wonder how much of that wind speed is due to the houses that were demolished recently.

* We bought some tuna steaks at the Asian market. But what is that in the foreground? *

Washing windows in the west

I got up before the alarm went off. I started my day in the usual ways. I listened to several Ben Greenfield podcasts while sewing. I took a pic of the quilt pieces lying arranged on the floor to send to Johnnie, and discovered that half of the last row was wrong. I ripped them off, turned them around and sewing them back on.

I made it to breakfast early. After eating, I listened to two tapping meditations on the Tapping Solutions app. Then I listened to the Highwire with Del Bigtree:

There was a lawsuit against Gavin Newsome, governor of CA, for overstepping his authority. The judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff. The FDA greenlighted Remdesivir even though a study showed it is no better than lethal doses of HCQ. Dr. Fauci says a vaccine will not stop transmission. Michael Yeadon ( an allergy and respiratory therapeutic expert and former science office with Pfizer) said the pandemic is over. Many people have t-cell immunity, and the PCR test is scientifically fraudulent. The amount of deaths is normal for this time of year. There was a clip of Toni Fauci saying that when you get to a cycle threshold of 35 or more, the chance of replication is miniscule. It's just dead nucleotides.

Because the windows are frosted with minerals from the sprinklers, I decided to clean them. But I couldn't get the screens out and the windows did not tilt in. I sent Johnnie a message asking how to do it and she said her husband did it. So I looked at videos on Youtube, then proceeded to remove the screens on one side of the house. The minerals were not coming off. I tried steel wool and that seemed to work. But it was late in the day and I wouldn't really know until tomorrow.

I heated supper in the toaster oven. I listened to the Rejuvenation track. I did some more sewing and then read e-mail until Chris came home.

He had a beer and some wine. He called Michele because she had called him. While talking, he walked into the den where I was, so I figured I was supposed to join the conversation. At first they talked about jobs, but then turned to politics. Chris became very talkative and went on for a long time. Finally I told him Michele needed to go to bed. Eventually he wrapped up the call. Then we went to the livingroom to watch TV, but it was late. I drank tea with magnesium in it and he drank triple sec. In the middle of the episode, he paused it and started talking about his feelings for me. It was very nice, but again, it went on and on and on. I was so tired, and it was after midnight, so I said I needed to sleep. I didn't even post to my blog. I just did a few stretches, called up the sleep track, and hit the hay.

Itching to stitch

My phone screen was dimmed all day, but at night, when I called up the app to play the sleep track, it was mighty bright. I tried not to look at it, and I got the wrong song. Still, it was relaxing so I listened, then unplugged the headphones at the end.

I woke up before Chris left for work, but did not get up unti the daylight came in. It was little before 7:30.

I brushed teeth, and swished twice. I made coffee. I did the special lymph-moving exercises but misplaced the drybrush. So no drybrushing. I laid on the inversion table for a few minutes to straighten out my neck.

I meditated and tapped for over an hour. I took special supplements (like Tudca), but didn't feel any different. I cleaned the kitchen while listening to a podcast about a woman who started companies to make sustainable products like Tushy and hemp toilet paper.

Chris came home for lunch and brought the two envelopes that I put in the mail yesterday. The post office wanted more postage. I finished the kichen, then cleaned the bathrooms and vacuumed. I laid in the sun and read a book. I dug up gopher holes and put in coffee grounds and tea leaves. Then I took a shower and put on clean clothes.

I perused the map of this conclave, and decided on a path. I put extra postage on the envelopes, then went to the post office to drop them off. I walked the path as best I could remember, but later I realized I turned at the wrong place. I pulled thorns from my shoes, after walking behind the post office.

I cut and sewed 18 round 5 pieces to my 'quilt rows'. I laid down for 20 minutes to listen to the Rejuvenation track. I cut off a branch of aloe. I ate the gel and rubbed the skin on my dry, chapped hands. Chris came home and tuned into Michele role-playing on Youtube with the guys. I cut strips and made 9 four-patches. I made a pre-breakfast mix, and ate it. I refigured the dimensions of the quarter square triangle blocks. I made several sizes just to be sure. Then I cut the strips and got them ready to sew.

Michele had finished, so Chris wrapped up his game and called up Netflix. I made my magnesium drink (with water, not tea). I sat with Chris and we watched two episodes. Then he set his clothes out for tomorrow and I brushed my teeth and posted to my blog. As I finished up, the trumpeter played Taps, and it was time for bed.

Today on "Meet the gophers"...

I listened to the long track last night and unplugged the headphones when it was over. The battery did not run down like last night. I still got up before the alarm went off. When I got out of bed, I put on the Atlas, which is supposed to protect me from EMF's. Sounds crazy, but I no longer have the ringing in my ears.

I got started on the supplement routine early. I downloaded the Tapping Solution app to my phone. It was complicated. I considered buying their yearly plan, but I would never use it on my phone. I guess I am not an app person. I also downloaded the Twilight app. Again, so complicated, asking me questions I don't know the answer to. But now the light from the phone is more muted.

I finished the two masks, and put each one in an envelope. I read e-mail, then made and ate breakfast, a little early. I listened to an interview on ayurvedic eating for winter. Chris came home briefly to grab food to take back to the office for lunch. I put on my bathing suit and laid outside. I read a chapter of a book, then came in and changed into a shirt and pants. I sewed blocks and lstened to something. Then I discovered that the blocks were too small. So I had to re-cut to make new ones.

I found a map of the base. I decided to take walks with the goal of walking on every street here. I marked the roads I have walked on with a highlighter. I picked a route that would take me by the post office and over to the other side of the base, saving shorter walks for colder days. I put on shoes, then picked up the envelopes and headed out. I went by the post office, then to the commissary where I turned north. I saw the school and hit the post office again, checking our box. There was one packet and I carried it home.

I dug out gopher tunnels in the front yard. At one point, dirt came flying back out, and I knew I wasn't alone. But I shoveled it back in faster than he could throw it out. I took a break to eat an apple and some blackberries. Then I dug more mounds, including one in the back yard. I kept only 4 stones today.

I put some pork in the toaster oven to heat up. Johnnie called to tell me about the pronghorn down the street from me (and not far from her). I ate pork and a can of soup for supper but no fruit. Supposedly fruit has to be its own meal. Chris came home from work and made a burritto. I made diffuser and put a blend of sleep essential oils in it, leaving it in the bedroom.

I listened to the Huntsville church service while I sewed a new set of blocks and added them to the rows.

Finally, I made my evening drink, watching it turn from red to green as I added magnesium. I sat with Chris and we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. Then I brushed my teeth and posted to my blog, so I could get ready for bed.

The gophers have moved

Last night, I listened to the sleep track. When it ended, I took off the headphones but apparently it continued to play. The battery ran down and so the alarm did not ring in the morning. I was up by 8, wondering why I hadn't heard it yet. But when it dawned on me, I plugged in the phone to recharge.

It was the usual morning. I read by the HappyLight for half an hour. I read e-mail, then made and ate breakfast. Then Chris came home for lunch. He brought me some crab apples, in case I wanted to plant the seeds. He said it was a nice day and I should go for a walk. It was a nice day, so I put on my bathing suit and laid out in the sun. I read a book, and listened to the big machine load house debris onto a truck.

I went inside and changed back into regular clothes. I headed out for a long walk. Chris and his boss passed me while they were doing an inspection round, and stopped to say 'hi'. I picked up some rocks on the other side of the neighborhood. When I got home, I put on a video and listened while I scrubbed the rocks. I also made seed crackers and more spice mix. I looked up rocks on ebay to see if these were worth anything. Nicer rocks, all shiny and smooth, are selling for not much. Sigh.

I leveled one gopher mound in the front yard and 3 or 4 in the back yard. I was surprised how many there were. There have been none in the backyard all summer. I came in for supper. I ate seed crackers with the rest of the guacamole. I had a can of soup. I ate some of the pulled pork with kimchi and olives and pickled onions. I also ate the ripe tomato.

I was reading e-mail when Chris came home. He called Michele. She was despondent over not finding a job. We tried to cheer her up.

A little after 8, I made my evening drink and we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. Then I posted to my blog and got ready for bed. I needed to get some errands done, but am trying to go to bed early for a while so the change in time isn't so stark.

All Saints Day

Last night I finished the sleep hypnosis track and went to bed. It took less time to fall asleep, but, added to the track time, maybe not. I slept well. I got up at 7:15, the new 7:15. I started with supplements. I read a book beside the HappyLight for half an hour. Then I checked e-mail. I read an article about Dr. Berkson regrowing livers with intravenous ALA. He thought it would catch on, but the liver transplant people wouldn't hear of it. Bad for business. ALA was good for other things too, like diabetic neuropathy and blood sugar, but again, the 'side effects' impacted the bottom line of people who do other therapies or prescribe drugs.

I took a shower and got dressed for church. Then Chris took his shower while I ate a banana. Then we went to church. We each picked up a communion 'package'. We talked to Johnnie and Eileen. Then we sat in the third row and waited a few seconds for the service to begin. Since it is televised, the chaplain starts at 11 on the dot. The guitar player was helping out at another church today, so we sang with the computer, probably Youtube versions. After the singing, came the sermon. He talked about Daniel interpreting the king's dreams. Then we had communion at our seats and sang one last song. It was a hymn, but whoever recorded it added modern highlights so it wasn't as familiar as I hoped. After the service, I talked to Eileen and Johnnie again. I tried out the door key that came from the chaplain, and it fit the front door. Rusty showed me how to keep the door unlocked.

When we got home, I made and ate breakfast. Chris needed a loaf of bread for next week so I got the bread machine started. I read an article from a friend which had a letter from an archbishop to our president, saying we are in a battle of good vs evil and he should stand against it.

I changed clothes and went outside to dig gopher tunnels. I sorted some stones and then Johnnie came by on a walk. She stopped to talk and we had a nice chat. After she left, I dug up two more tunnels, and sorted more rocks. Chris made guacamole. It was really good with seed crackers. I also ate a can of soup and a Babybel cheese.

I listened to Dr. Bredesen talk about avoiding Alzheimers and treating it as early as possible. While listening, I worked on masks and parts of the quilt.

At 8, I made my magnesium drink by adding magnesium to the remaining tea. I did it in a clear glass and watched the tea go from red to green. Interesting. Then we watched TV. Afterward, I laid down, thinking I might be tired enough just to drift off, but that didn't happen so I got up to post to my blog and do the usual things.

* My second tomato finally turned red:) *
