Social interaction

We got up soon after my alarm went off. I started my morning with the usual activities. Then Chris offered me a coconut oil massage. So I followed him to the bedroom.

Afterward, I checked e-mail, then read a book while sitting in the sunshine that came in the window. I forgot to set the timer since the last supplement and I ended up reading until 11. Then I began the breakfast process.

I put together a Swansons order while I ate. I checked other e-mails as well. Chris took a shower and I put on a coat and left for the post office. While walking, I saw Brian had just arrived home so I walked over to say hello. I also talked to Johnnie. She showed me how her quilt was coming along. Brian and I discussed crypto and gold as investments.

Johnnie was ready to go for a walk, so we left together and went to the post office. I collected my mail. Then she headed for her walk and I went home. Chris and I had a discussion about buying gold and cryptocurrency. He wasn't in favor of it, and didn't see why it was necessary.

I put on an interview and made a nativity mask. I watched video interviews on crypto and gold. Robert Kyosaki is very good. I opened the mail and found a birthday card from Faye and Dad. Chris cooked asparagus for supper and put beans in a pot to soak overnight. After eating the asparagus and leftover fish, I ate a pomegranate. Then I made seed crackers for tomorrow, and read e-mail until they were done.

Chris and I watched the Netflix DVD that came today. It was called Fiesta, starring Esther Williams. Oddly, it had nothing to do with swimming. Afterward, I put away the laundry and we dressed the bed with clean sheets. I brushed my teeth and sat down to write my blog post.

Ready for snow

I stayed up too late last night, correcting a file because my computer wanted to update and was going to close it. Then I saved it, rebooted the computer, and put it to sleep. I listened to the mp3 headphones in bed, but finally turned them off. Later I fell asleep. I woke up hearing the 7:30 alarm go off in another room. I went back to sleep until I heard the 8:30 alarm. Chris got up and then I got up and started taking supplements.

I checked e-mail. I asked Chris if I was allowed to have my sewing class next Saturday and we got in a BIG discussion. He insisted that I could, so I pointed out that the letter that was sent out says 'casual social gatherings are not authorized, and had his name on it. But he said my class fell under 'official meetings and planned events' which are permitted under the usual Covid protocols.

I made a quart of chamomile/parsley/hibiscus tea. William called, on his lunch hour. I asked Chris to massage my right forearm. It seemed a little swollen and sore to me. I made and ate breakfast, but without the banana because there were none left.

After breakfast, I listened to crypto videos on Youtube. I ate frozen blueberries to replace the banana. When Chris was ready, he put ice packs in the cooler and we went to Tooele, continuing the book on CD. When we were in Luckey's, I noticed that my fingers were stained with blueberry juice. Then we went to Melanies' nutrition. Actually Chris stayed in the car. I shopped, but they didn't have everything I wanted. I did get a bottle of dark cherry juice, which is supposed to be good for sleep. I was surprised that they did not have cacao nibs, but I did get a 5000IU of vitamin D3.

Then we went to Maceys, for all the things that Luckey's didn't have. While Chris checked out, I ran to the dollar store to buy a birthday card for Aunt Jean. Then we drove home, listening to the book.

After we unloaded the groceries and put them away, I compared the vitamin D I just bought with the one I usually order from Swansons. The local one cost more, but it has a lot of other things in it that you would expect to see in a greens powder, and it gets great reviews.

It was almost 6 when I put supper in the toaster oven: fish and a piece of sweet potato, and a can of artichoke hearts. After eating, I laid in the recliner and read a book. It made my eyes tired so I reclined a little more and may have dozed off. I woke up about 8:15. I sat with Chris and the remainder of the tea, and we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. I brushed my teeth, and then swished while typing up my blog. I checked the weather forecast. It is supposed to rain tonight and then freeze. Good thing we got our groceries.

Supplements vs the book

The mp3 player did not run out of energy last night so I had to stop it after a while and take them off. I guess I fell asleep after that. I woke up to Chris getting ready for work. I stayed in bed until my alarm rang. As usual, I wasn't feeling all that energetic.

I plugged in the router and started my routine. I sat by the HappyLight and read a book and did not stop when the timer went off. I finished the book. I was out of supplements for breakfast on throughout the day, so I got out my boxes and parsed out what I needed for the next two weeks. I listened to interviews while I filled the little bottles and boxes. Several things were running out, so I placed an order for more.

I checked e-mail and tapped for anxiety over choosing and buying cryptocurrency. So many new things to learn about it first. I went through my blog files to see if I had any notes from the Money Revealed summit. Nope.

I saw a meme that said “I literally wrote a book to warn you guys. (signed) George Orwell”. Ha, ha. I listened to Christine Schaffner talk about a lung detox program. I made and ate breakfast. Chris came home for lunch. I put on headphones and watched The Highwire with Del Bigtree. He interviewed Jeffery Jaxen about the comparison of life-years-lost due to Covid infection vs. the lockdowns. The lockdowns are winning. He also talked about Pfizer's 90% effective vaccine. It seems they had a group of 43,538 volunteers who each got either the vaccine or the placebo. Only 94 people got sick during the trial (0.2%). 10% of the 94 had been vaccinated and 90% hadn't. It's like in an election: if only 0.2% of the vote had come in, could the winner be declared?

I dressed warmly and took a long walk around the neighborhood. I got to cross a lot of streets off the map. While I was walking, it occurred to me that I hadn't seen any vitamin D3 in my supplement box. I don't know how I could overlook running out of something so important. When I got home, I looked for the bottle of D# but could not find it anywhere. I had some low-powered D3 so I took 10 of those.

I pulled out the piano bench and played Christmas songs. Chris had asked me if I would play for a Christmas party and I wanted to see how well I could do. My left hand had forgotten how to do chords in inversion. I decided it was not good enough for public appearances.

My eyes hurt so I did not get back on the computer. I pinned each center seam on the quilt a little tighter. That seemed to help it lay flat. I auditioned centers for the circle, and decided I didn't like the circle. It''s too busy. I took the terrahydrite, which is taken half an hour before mealtimes. I relaxed in the recliner, listening to a Dennis Prager video.

Chris came home from work. I was not expecting him because there is Mass on Thursday night. When the timer went off, I put a can of soup in a bowl with a packet of salmon. Chris came in the kitchen and said he was skipping Mass to cook me supper. Oh. I ate my bowl of supper and went back to the recliner until Chris cooked fish, rice, a mix of peppers and onion, and a topping of yogurt and lemon. There was enough fish for both of us, but he just made a burritto for himself.

After eating, I thought a lot about the quilt and decided to do the last row of triangles in red. I used a leftover strip and traced 18 little pieces. I put supper away, then I heated some water for tea. We sat and watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie, starting season 3. I brushed and swished and wrote up my blog post for today before I forgot what happened.

Making ends meet

mp3 player last night and fell sleep. When I woke, the player was silent and I wondered if it ran down the battery.

I woke up with Chris beside me, since this is a federal holiday he didn't go to work. We stayed in bed late, then he got up to play his game. It kept him occupied for hours while I had my Wednesday coffee morning. My back was bothering me a little so I modified some of my exercises. I found my drybrush and used it. I made coffee and put on my set of CD's and let the music play while I tapped and meditated.

When I was done, I started cleaning. I did both bathrooms and the kitchen. I left the toilet bowls to soak, then went back with steel wool to attack the water line. But for some reason, that turned the bowl blue under the line, and the line remained. Oops.

I mopped the kitchen floor, then took a shower and got dressed. I checked e-mail, reading some and deleting others. I put on a coat and took a walk. I went down by Chris' office and back. It was cold but not too bad. The mountains were nice, but there is always something in the way of a nice pic.

When I got back, I watched a video on digestive enzymes. He said you should take both pancreatic and brushborder enzymes for SIBO. He was advocating for his product Holozymes and offered a discount on the first order. So I ordered one bottle. I also ordered a piece of fabric from a quilt shop that sent me a birthday coupon. Then I sat with a heating pad and the HappyLight, while reading a book.

I made breakfast for supper. I played interviews and sewed. At 6 I put on the 'live training' for cryptocurrency. The two men spoke for over two hours before revealing their top pick - something called Dash. It is a count-down crypto and will take off on May 15th. Although it was mostly hype, it wasn't a total waste of time because I finished sewing my quilt into a circle. Sadly it was not so flat in the center. But I'll figure something how when I decide what color the last set of pieces should be and the circle.

We watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. I drank a big thing of coconut water and took 6 magnesium capsules. I looked up some of the characters on the show. Then I buckled down to the task of writing up my day.

* My circle may be grounded, but it needs to find it's center. *

Printing photos

I used the mp3 headphones last night, but to no avail. I woke up this morning hearing Chris' alarm go off. And later I heard him take an extra-long shower. After he left for work, I got up to use the bathroom and went back to bed. But then my back started complaining. So I got up and sat in the recliner with a heating pad. I read a book by the glow of the HappyLight.

Later I checked e-mail. I looked up birthday wishes and composed a note to my Aunt Jean for her 85th birthday. I checked the pico Faye sent and saw that a photo was requested as well. A paper photo? Hmm. I made and ate breakfast. When Chris came home for lunch, I asked him about it. He said we could try printing a photo on our printer, try it on his printer at work, or take it to Walgreens to print there. I selected a photo from our recent trip to Zion National Park. I e-mailed it to myself, then went to the desktop to print it out.

I should have brought a book to read. Each step literally took minutes for the desktop to complete. First to load Firefox, then to sign into Yahoo, then open the e-mail and download the pics. Then to open the printer software. But in the end, even though I marked it 'grayscale', nothing printed out. The page was blank. So I e-mailed the pics to Chris' work account.

After Chris went back to the office, I listened to an interview about Fauci's conflicts of interest and major deals with drug companies, and worked on the quilt. Mid-afternoon, I took a break to walk around the neighborhood, but not a long walk because it was still cold with snow on the ground. I stopped by the post office parking lot to see if the dropped keys were still there. I did not see them so maybe the owner came back and picked them up.

When I got home, I went through a number of tapping audios, just to catch up. I didn't realize I had skipped so many. I did some sewing (lots of seams in this quilt). William called, so we chatted for awhile. Then I put soup, tuna, and half a sweet potato in the Korean bowl and stuck it in the toaster oven.

Chris came home from work. He brought me a print-out of the pics. (They were full-page.) He told me that tomorrow is a federal holiday so he will be home. I guess my face fell, so he said he would go to work and give me some time alone for meditation morning. He made his supper and ate it, then came back for some apple crisp. I put some of it in a Korean bowl and put blackberries and a square of chocolate on top. Then I heated it in the toaster oven, and mmmmm, mmmmmm.

I read some e-mail, then I started listening to an interview on cryptocurrency. I got some more sewing done. I paused it to go sit with Chris and we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. Still in season 2. Then I brushed my teeth and sat down to write my blog post.

The clouds were low over the hills of snow

Last night I wore the Mp3 headphones. I don't think I fell asleep because I remember taking them off. In the morning, I woke up before the trumpet played. I heard Chris take a shower and get dressed. Then he went to work.

It was a snowy morning, but the mountain pass must have been clear enough for folks to come to work. I took supplements and read e-mail. I ordered origami paper and supplements. I read with the HappyLight for 20 minutes. I did a few tapping videos.

At 11, I made breakfast. The sun finally came out and the snow started to melt. I could see the new gopher mounds. Sigh. But it was too cold to go after them. I listened to podcasts by Ben Greenfield and Brian Rose. Brian Rose had a guest who is a financial expert (they both are). His guest recommended buying Ethereum, which is a kind of cryptocurrency - a rival to bitcoin (I think).

I sewed quilt pieces together and listened. Around 4:30 I dressed up warmly and took a walk. I could see the clouds were low over the mountains, so when I got back, I grabbed my camera and took pics of the mountains white with snow. Then I retreated to the house and sewed while supper heated in the toaster oven.

I ate soup, pork and half a sweet potato for supper. Chris came home, and continued his game. I meditated with the heating pad on my lap. Chris added water to the apple crisp and put it in the oven to bake a little more since the apples were still too crisp.

At 8:30, we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. I took magnesium capsules instead of a tall drink with powder. Maybe with less water, I can get to sleep faster. I brushed my teeth and swished while writing my blog post.

* The pics I take don't do the mountains justice. *

A real snow day

I listened to my sleep track on the mp3 headphones. I don't think I fell asleep with it because I remember turning them off and putting them on the headboard. But at some point I fell alseep.

I got up around 8. I did little jobs in the kitchen, including putting all the kimchi in one jar and placing it in the fridge. I wiped grease out of dishes in the sink. I checked e-mail, and tried to find caches of unread ones that were too old to be relevant. I got the unread count below 800 by listening to and then deleting tapping audios.

At 10 I washed up and got dressed for church in pants because it was cold and snowing outside. Then Chris got ready for church. We put on coats and got in the car. Chris had to scrape the windows, then we left for the chapel.

When we got there, Johnnie was waiting for us. She and I spoke about quilting. Then Chris and I found a seat. The chaplain missed the countdown by a few seconds. He started the live feed and began the service. There was not a word about Veteran's Day. We sang songs I hardly knew and then he gave a sermon about Joseph and his wife Asenath. Somehow I had never realized that Joseph married in Egypt. After the service, the chaplain showed me how to turn on the heat in the fellowship hall. Then I spoke with Eileen and the guitar player. He said he bought a 'box' that plays backgrounds for almost every song you could thing of. Then he discovered that if he didn't choose a music background, tht the box would make one up to go with whatever he was playing. And yes, it connected itself to the internet. Scary.

We drove home in the snow. I made breakfast while Chris made lunch. I checked e-mail and saw that Faye posted a pic of Dad, so I called her. They were out shopping by then. I researched Asenath from today's Bible reading. Some scholars speculate that she was the daughter of Dinah, left at Potiphar's doorstep as an infant.

I read e-mail, and listened to the PBS coverage of Biden's speech to determine if he was really there or if it was recorded as speculated. It seemed to me that he was really there. Chris made apple crisp, and said the coverage was a little biased. I worked in the quilt while I listened, then resumed finding e-mails to delete.

Around 4:30 I started snacking. I had a sweet potato with salsa, and a can of crab meat. I watched the Huntsville service with patriotc music. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers. I sewed and listened to James Corbett talk to another guy about boycotting Amazon for a day.

It was almost 9 till I could turn off the oven. Then I sat with Chris and we watched two episodes of Hart of Dixie. I took a bunch of magnesium capsules during the second episode. After the show ended, I brushed my teeth and got ready for bed. I finished the Corbett video and wrote my blog.

* It snowed more after this pic was taken. *
