Just being fussy

I woke up early and set my mind to feeling peace. I got up shortly before the alarm rang. I swished and turned on the router. I ran around the house straightening up and rearranging. I put all the fermented foods in the computer room, and the jars of water, too. I put some orange oil in the diffuser. I checked e-mail, did my exercises. I watched a tapping video until it was time for my tapping buddy. She called me and we tapped on her issues. It was great to see how her face relaxed and she looked younger by the time we were through. And then it was time to juice. I juiced the remaining sprouts and a cucumber. I cleaned that up, meditated and had breakfast. I could not believe it was noon already. I took Chris' car to quilting. The ladies there voted to keep me in Huntsville. I showed off my Linus quilt. One lady said I should call the Arsenal for more details on PCSing to Chinhae. Bob called because he wanted to come over and look at the floor. I told him I wasn't home and he said that was ok. When I got home, I brought in the mail. I sent the bills to Chris. I could not tell if Bob had been there or not. I ate lunch and printed forms for Parker. She wrote that the house was still getting lots of attention online. I signed the forms with poa for Chris. I skyped with Chris to answer questions on the residential disclosure form, but some had to be directed to Parker. She sent me a mockup of the flyer for my approval, and it looked fine. I mowed in the front lawn and part of neighbor's (his is so tall that I think something must be wrong over there). I read e-mail, and ate something. I spent a lot more time than I meant to trying to watch a video of a skateboarder that got hit by a deer. I would not have started it had I known how much time it would take to disable each script blocker and explore other options when it would not run. I listened to an audio, and then looked at fabric for the Tuesday block. I came upstairs to get paper to cut a 6.5 inch window to audition fussy-cuts. I found myself reading e-mail again. I posted what I was calling forth for the month of April to the meetup page. I auditioned fussy-cuts and could barely get enough. I came up for my camera and had to check e-mail again. I went back downstairs to cut. I decided to take a leap of faith and just cut the first four iterations of one that appeared 9 times, hoping it would not prevent me from getting at least 4 of several other patterns. Then I cut 3 of a smaller flower, and several strips of background fabric. As I was going through the instructions to see what size strips I needed, I saw that I had skipped scanning a page of templates. So I had to come upstairs to do that. I decided it was too late to continue, so I posted to my blog, did another meditation, and went to bed.

Preparing to give thanks

I woke up while it was still dark and tried to go back to sleep. I got up half an hour early. I turned on the router and swished and exercised. I soaked the sprouts and somehow knocked them over, spilling water all over the floor. I washed them off and soaked up all the water, hoping Bob would not drop by and see it. As I read e-mail, I pulled paperclips off of the diamonds and put them in a bag for tomorrow. Then I did my detox. In the middle, Maryann called. She told me about mosquitoes and centipedes that bite (in Chinhae). I finished my detox and juiced. I found something in the fridge that looked like a sweet potato. It came from Garden Cove but I could not remember what it was. I juiced it with mung bean sprouts and carrots. It did not sit well. Then I meditated. In the middle of meditation, Denise called. I told her my stories and she told me hers. I cleaned up, and put on my suit, packed my bag, and was off to the sauna. I took some Sudoku puzzles to do. At times there were other ladies there. I tried putting coconut oil on my hair to condition it while sitting in the heat. I used my homemade coffee shampoo, but I don't think it got all the oil out. My back gave me a warning in the shower. I finished it gingerly, and came home. I checked the mail box.. We got a card addressed to someone I never heard of at our address. There was no return address. I googled the name and our street but no luck. I called Sharon and told her. She did not know the name so I threw it away. She also said Bob would come by tomorrow to check the floor. I made breakfast, and ate it. I turned off skype so I could do an online meditation with headphones. Then I ordered a new pair of bifocals from Zenni optical – less than $50! I changed my clothes and went to choir practice. I talked to Jennifer afterward. She reminded me of Wayne Dyer's suggestion to think of what you want and give thanks as though it had already happened. I decided to try it at home. When I got home, there were skype messages from Maryann and Chris. I sent a message to them both. I ate a hard boiled egg and some kimchi. Chris called me and we talked. Nothing new to report there. I crushed the egg shells as we talked. Then I responded to some e-mails, blogged and prepared to give thanks as I went to bed.

I guess this is it

I got up before 7:30. I turned on the router and swished. I found a message on my phone that Michele was in DC and giving me the number. I checked e-mail, and exercised until the swishing was over. Then I called Michele. We had a nice conversation and I also talked to Cecily. I juiced and called Dad. Then it was time to leave. I grabbed my bag of handsewing and went to quilting. I talked to a number of ladies, sharing my story of having to decide whether to move to Korea. I talked to Beverly while someone slipped a gift into her bag. I showed off the fall Linus quilt top. I tried to remember that the weaving class is next week. After leaving there, I went to the Asian store for kimbap and sprouts. I asked the lady if she knew about Chinhae and all she had heard was of the cherry blossom festival. I ate a few pieces of kimbap in the car on the way to the dentist. I wished I'd had time to go home and brush. And, while sitting in the waiting room flossing my teeth, I wondered why I felt the need to be on time. The hygenist called me back, and asked me if I was on any new medications and I said no. She said that was rare, and talked to me at length about how her doctor kept trying to get her to take calcium supplements but she wouldn't. Then she took bitewing x-rays and the dentist came in to check my teeth. Then I got my teeth cleaned, as she rambled on. When it was over, she suggested that I get a 20 minute appt to check my nightguard. She and the dentist feel that it would stop the clenching, and that that is critical. She also scheduled me for another appointment in October. And, she said they meet every morning to choose a patient of the day. Who? Me? She presented me with an umbrella. (for the rainy season in Korea?) I paid and drove home. I ate my remaining kimbap with kimchi. I opened two windows and turned on the fan. I mowed the parts of the lawn that are getting leggy again. I came in and took my supplements and ate a banana with cinnamon. I put in my night guard to try it. I cleaned the juicer. I worked through e-mail, tapping or reading as indicated. I plugged my tablet into my laptop to recharge it, and it did something funny – turning off and on. I tried it on the desktop and it did the same thing. So I found the little thingy that allows it to plug directly into the power strip and it seemed to do better. I worked on gluing more diamonds for the hexecontehedron. I used paperclips to hold the edges down until the glue stick dried. I also tried clothespins but they were not flat enough or strong enough. Small binder clips worked when I ran out of small paperclips. I had to re-cut a set of diamonds because I had cut one set to the template size instead of a quarter inch larger. Parker wrote to say that she showed the property today and the couple seemed very interested, but were just starting their search. I did more gluing when I found another package of paperclips. I also found another glue stick that worked better because it was just a little dryer. I looked online for hampers or baskets to fill a space in the Airport Road house. I made breakfast and ate it. I was listening to an interview when Chris skyped me. We talked for over an hour and a half. He said he was told that he really needed to take this job by someone who knows how difficult it is to get this promotion. I made him promise that he would not leave me alone to make decisions and to pack, and to travel. And he would put my desires above those of his subordinates when it comes to vacation time. He said all the right things and I couldn't think of anything else to ask him to promise. So I said ok. And after he hung up, I burst into tears. I won't be miserable forever. But I am not happy about leaving. And I always knew we would leave here one day. So I guess this is it. And with that, it was time for bed.

Decisions, decisions

I went to bed last night in a really good mood, repeating “How does it get any better than this?”. It was an affirmation from the Dain Heer interview. I slept well, and woke up way before my alarm. I might have gone back to sleep. But I still got up before the alarm sounded. I swished and exercised. I made a copy of the Tuesday block templates. I was working on tweaking a tapping file for my tapping buddy, when Chris skyped me to say he had been offered the job in Korea. He was asking if I was willing to go, but that he did not need an answer right away. I did not know what to say. I e-mailed MaryAnn since she lived in Chinhae for awhile. I finished the file and sent it to my buddy. I tapped for the overwhelming emotion of not wanting to leave the life I have right now. I juiced and cleaned up . I brought in the rain water from last night (it was a real frog strangler!). I ran the first pot through the coffee maker and it was slow. I wondered if there was a lemon seed stuck in there. I think one fell in a month ago. When it was finished, I unplugged it and shook it upside down. I could hear it rattling around, but could not get it to come out. I hoped that now that it was no longer stuck, the water would flow faster. I put another pot in, but it sounded just as bad. I e-mail Parker and she e-mailed right back. The length of her e-mail suggested that she had been working on it before she got my e-mail. She said there was still stuff that needed to be done, but two people had already contacted her to see the house, and that was quite a start. She said she had e-mail late on Friday so I looked for that e-mail and found one from Chris about printing insurance cards for the cars. I had marked it important, but since G-mail automatically marks e-mails as important, it no longer stood out. I printed them out and put them in my purse. I juiced, cleaned up, and made breakfast. I listened to an audio, but paused it to get ready to sew. While I was downstairs putting a second project together (in case I finished the first), Denise called. She suggested I could live with Chris only in the winter and spend the rest of the year here. At noon I headed to quilting in Chris' car. Of course I mentioned Korea to the ladies there. Several said they would come visit me if I went. I worked on the fall triangle quilt for Renegades. It took longer than I thought because I was one 'block' short and had to create another one. And I put narrow borders on it because of the bias edges. I had no time for the second project. It was after 4 when I left. I left my stuff in the car, but brought in the quilt top so I can show it off tomorrow. I had a bite to eat, and checked e-mail. I boiled the rest of the rain water in the tea pot. I also hardboiled 6 eggs. Then I raked pinecones out of the waterway behind the yard. That made it easier to mow. I also mowed part of the backyard where I had mowed before. I think some of the weeds had bowed their heads to pray when they saw the lawnmower coming the first time. But I got 'em the second time. I came in to check e-mail and soon Chris was on skype. We talked about going to Korea and how he wanted to go and I didn't, but I did not want to stand in his way. Then MaryAnn was on and since she had lived in Chinhae, I hung up with him to talk to her. Skype did not cooperate, so she called my phone. She told me of her experiences, and together we looked it up online. Then my phone died. Since it was 10pm, I decided to blog and go to bed.

Fun with spreadsheets

I got up with the alarm and was already awake. My ear hurt from sleeping on it. I tapped and the pain went away, though not immediately. I checked the temp and it was 40. I swished and my exercises and read e-mail. I took a shower and got dressed. I made breakfast. I put on my black dress and wore a pink short sleeve top over it like a jacket. I cut a piece of aloe off for Jennifer and put it in a baggie. I uncovered the peas and the basil. I took some extra shoes and a package of baby wipes with me to church. I put the shoes in the barrel set aside for them, but did not know where to put the wipes. I sat with a lady I did not know in the narthex, waiting for the ss class to let out so we could practice for choir. When I saw Jennifer, I gave her the aloe. Mary gave me an empty 2 liter bottle. Then we practiced and I walked out to join the others waiting to process inside. We sang and raised our palm crosses as we processed inside. The kids rang chimes and then sang. During the service, there was a reading of the gospel story where individuals stood up and spoke the parts. The guy behind me did an amazing job of being narrator. After the service, I counted the loose cash and we agreed to meet back at 2:30. I talked to several people, asking if the church had a printing calculator. Probably not. Then I took a pic of the cross from Honduras on the second cross wall. I went to Publix for groceries and got extra because they won't be open on Easter Sunday. Along the way, I tried to take pics of the blooming trees at Mayfair. When I got home, I put the food away. I made a salad, and ate it in front of computer while watching Philosoper's Notes videos. I changed my clothes and went back to church. Art wasn't there yet. When he came in, we sat down to count the offering for both services. I used my calculator to add up the numbers, sometimes having to do it more than once. He watched me as I did everything he instructed. We finished in an hour an a half. I went home to rake and mow. I mowed under the magnolia tree and in the back yard. I still hadn't finished all of the yard yet. I put the mower away. I found a package on the front porch. It was seeds for sprouting. I made a fruit smoothie, using up the rest of the frozen rhubarb. I read-e-mail, and made up supplements. I watched a bunch more of Philosopher's Notes on Youtube. They were really good. Then I tried using a spreadsheet to add the numbers on the offering sheet, but I did not know how to type the add function. I skyped the question to Kurt and Chris. I started meditating. Chris skyped back, and we talked. He had an answer to my question. I added several columns and decided our answers were good. Then Kurt skyped me and he had a different answer. I tried it and it worked, too. Then the connection broke. I lost the internet and don't know what happened. Chris was gone when I got back on. Kurt went to bed. I finished that meditation and did another one, getting very relaxed. I wrote up my blog notes for the day. I listened to an interview with Dain Heer. Then I downloaded my pics, posted to my blog, and went to bed.

God sent someone to change the sheets

While I was in bed trying to sleep, I thought of something I wanted to tell Parker. I tapped in the idea of remembering it again at 8am. I woke up to sunshine, and went outside to uncover the peas. But it was so close to freezing, that I left the cover on. I remembered what I wanted to tell Parker, and then my alarm rang. I took Netflix out to the mail box, and then wrote a message to Parker. I started reading e-mail, and took a break to write a script of next month as if it had already happened in the most wonderful way. I swished and exercised. I posted a pic of my backyard salad to Facebook. As I was reading e-mail, I came across a video showing the physics of dominoes and how a domino can knock over another one 50% larger than it. I could not resist watching more domino videos. I juiced a red beet, two broccoli stems, and some salad greens. I ate some of the red beet pulp. Then I meditated. I uncovered the peas. I ate breakfast, and finished the video “Stress: Portrait of a Killer”: The baboon society became much nicer after the aggressive males were killed off by tuberculosis from eating restaurant scraps. Then the niacin was kicking in, so I went outside to mow. Then I came in to check skype for messages from my tapping buddy. I went to my car to park it by the garage and when the key did not work, I said “Oh, these are kisses chrees” and laughed when I realized what I'd said. I got my keys and parked the back end of my car into the garage. I lifted out the tubs of donated fabric, and brought in my sewing machine and sewing accessories. I re-parked the car, and closed the garage. I read some e-mail, and did another meditation to catch up. I worked on resurrecting a printing calculator. One had corroded batteries, and even with new batteries would not work properly. I threw it away. The other one seemed to work, so I reassembled the paperholder part and re-inked the pad. But then it had trouble accessing power. And sometimes it would print out the wrong digits. So that was no good. I went back to e-mail and tapping. Then I ran the dishwasher. With all the sunshine, I decided to rake up pinestraw While I was raking, two ladies walked up and wanted to help. I figured they were with a local church, so I let them. Then I asked if they would help me change the sheets on my bed and they did. I shared some hummus, and some kimchi and some sprouts with them. I printed out my hummus recipe for the lady who asked. They were into all that sort of thing. Then they called up a short video clip on my computer – it was made by the LDS church. They offered to come back but when I did not respond, they left a card with their numbers. After they left, I finished the pinestraw and mowed in that area. Then I put the sheets in the laundry and read e-mail until it was time for the dryer. I put the rest of the laundry in the washer. I made another backyard salad, but this time I added a dandelion head and white violet buds. I figured if dandelion heads can be used to make tea, they must be edible. As I sat down to eat, I saw that Chris was on skype. We talked for awhile. Then I worked the Sudoku puzzle for this weekend while listening to an audio on eating well. Just as I was getting ready to empty the dishwasher, and bring up the laundry, Jennifer called to say she'd fallen and which essential oil should she use? I recommended aloe and promised to bring her a piece tomorrow. Then I tapped for her, finished the chores, and went to bed.

Calling in the perfect buyers

I set my alarm for 7 last night and I actually woke up before then, wondering what time it was. I tried to go back to sleep but could not. And then the alarm rang. I got up, soaked the sprouts, and checked for e-mail from Parker. I started printing out the listing agreement forms. At first only half pages were printing, so I downloaded them to my desktop and then printed again. When Parker called, I was ready. We discussed which pages needed to be initialed or signed, scanned and e-mailed back. I only had time to do those which were needed immediately to get the house on the market today. Then I made and ate breakfast. I called Jodi and left a message that I would be there as soon as I could. I took a shower. As I was getting out, I got a skype message from my new tapping buddy. I had to tell her now was not a good time, but she shared with me a little of what was going on and I said I would tap for her. I got dressed, grabbed a couple of projects and headed to the Whitesburg church. Jodi was out of the room so I laid down my purse and opened my hatch back. When she came back, I asked to use her rolling wagon to bring in the donated fabric that was stored in my garage. She put out cake and oranges for those who would attend. Ladies drifted in one by one. I worked on making binding first. Someone had donated yards and yards of fabric that someone had practiced free motion on. Rebecca cut several baby size quilts from it and I bound one of them. Denise came and picked out some fabric and a pattern for making a quilt from strips that go all the way across. I alternately helped her with that and cut more baby size quilts from the pre-quilted yardage. Rebecca made the extras in to doggie beds to be donated to the shelter. A number of ladies made tops from donated blocks. Some did binding and some put on the labels. Some made backings and some took sets home to quilt. It was a very successful day. By 4 we were packed up. I came home, glad I had brought a coat since it got chilly today. As I drove up to the house, I could see the front door was wide open. I parked my car, and then called Denise. I stayed in the phone with her while I entered the house and looked around. Nothing had been touched or was missing. There was a package on the porch and I wondered if the delivery man knocked hard enough to open the door. It was locked but apparently did not catch in the frame. I locked it again, making sure it could not open. The heat was going strong. I brought in the wheatgrass and a seed starter. I put a large plant pot over the peas to protect them in case of frost tonight. I checked e-mail and listened to several interviews which were not that interesting. Parker e-mailed that all the pages came through and she was activating the listing today. I mentally sent a signal to the universe for the perfect buyer. I ate kimchi, and some ham and a sweet potato. I nearly fell asleep in my favorite chair afterward, partly because of all the time I spent standing up today. I was far too tired to get in some mowing. I got up when I heard the skype sound. It was Chris wanted to visit before going to his movie night. So we talked for a little while. Then he hung up. I read some more e-mail, and then had my own movie night. It was Earth to Echo from Netflix. It would not play on my laptop so I watched it on the desktop. It was a good movie and I enjoyed it, although the camera angles were reminiscent of The Blair Witch Project. I packaged the DVD to go back to Netflix. I started watching a video about stress in modern society that had aired on a PBS station and was now on Youtube. Then I almost went to bed without posting to my blog.
