Asian market

Sunday

We got up at 7:30. I got ready for the day. Chris went down to breakfast and I stayed in the room to make my own breakfast. Then I gathered things together to make the last packing easy.

I had seen on Youtube where a man in a hotel pulls the sheet off the bed and irons the corner of the mattress. Then all these little black dots showed up. So I got out the iron and pulled the sheets off the corner of the bed. I ironed in circles for a bit but nothing happened.

Chris came back to the room to pack. He said check-out was before the end of the session today. So we packed everything and took it to the car. Then we went to the conference room to attend. They asked how last night went, then talked a little about the next module. The rest was sort of a wrap-up. Chris spoke and the colonel spoke. I jotted some notes on a piece of paper. When it was over and we were dismissed, we all said goodbye to each other. I took the piece of paper and handed it to the presenter. We had a short discussion.

We went out to the car. Since we were dismissed early, I asked if we had time to stop by the Asian market. So Chris looked it up on his cell phone and got directions. Then we got on the highway and ….. well, I would have gotten lost. But we got there. We shopped for special fruit, like jackfruit. The best we could find was durian. We also got some kimbap for the trip home.

We listened to the book on CD on the way to Dugway. I nearly fell asleep. I had a quick snack, then took my trombone and cheese squares to church. We sang praise music and the chaplain gave a sermon. Then we the band played two hymns. However, the second one was not in the hymnal and the chaplain didn't have a slide for the overhead. But we played it anyway.

After the service, I took the cheese squares and went home. I ate the last piece of kimbap with kimchi. I ate the three small hardboiled eggs that froze in the hotel fridge. They were not great. Then I went to Michele's house to get the chapel key back. I gave her her container from days ago. When I came home, Chris had supper ready. I ate supper and we played the game.

Our band of crime fighters followed tracks of necromancers. We fought off skeletons and went to an abandoned castle/fort. We were challenged by a knight and we won. We went inside and were attacked. But we prevailed.

After the game, we talked. Chris and I folded the laundry and put it away. We watched an episode of Brokenwood. We talked some more. I jotted notes for today and we went to bed.
