I listened to my CD again last night, but instead of listening to all the music part, I skipped ahead to the quiet beat part. And it worked. I fell asleep, woke up long enough to move the CD player to the nightstand and went back to sleep.
I woke up in the morning hearing Chris take his shower. He got dressed and went to church. I got up, drank a quart of water and checked e-mail. I put on an audio and sat by my infrared light for 15 minutes. Then I did Sudoku puzzles and forgot about the time.
When the audio was over, it was almost 10. I jumped up to wash and get dressed for church. I heard Kurt send me a skype message while I was having a bite of seed cracker. I answered him and had another bite. Then the skype call sounded. I answered, thinking it was Kurt, but it was Michele. We talked for a few minutes, then Chris came home. We both talked to her and then I drove myself to church so Chris could talk to her some more.
I was late to the service, but the praise team had just started singing. I sat in my usual pew. The sermon was from Exodus, where the Israelites fight the Amalekites. It was Jacob's side of the family fighting Esau's side of the family.
After the service I talked to Kathy, and then Chantal, and a couple from Busan. Then I walked outside to see if Chris was there. He wasn't, so I called him. He was still talking to Michele.
I drove myself home and we finished the call together. Then I changed my clothes and we drove to the commissary. I brought plastic bags to use, but when we checked out, it took the bag boy longer to use those than to use the new ones. Chris was embarrassed and I heard about it on the way home.
When we got home, we put the groceries away. I made and ate breakfast. I listened to the last of Oprah's meditations. I put on an audio. I checked e-mail again.
I saw on Facebook that Kathy's kids were doing a lemonade stand in front of their house. After the audio was over, I asked Chris if he would like to walk down there. He said ok, but didn't move. I went outside to water the plants. Dynee and Ryan were just getting back from riding the Rhino. I told her about the lemonade stand and she wanted to go. So I told Chris and he said he was coming. In a few minutes, Chris, myself, Dynee and her dog were walking down to Kathy's house. But the stand was gone. Since the front door was open, we called out. Kathy called her kids. They had given up and started drinking their own lemonade. But there was enough left for the three of us. We each paid $3, and Dynee gave $1 extra. I had seen Kathy buy the lemons and she had sweetened it with honey. We sipped and talked for some time. Chris left and went to work. Mandy and Ray stopped by for lemonade, but there was only one cup left, so Kathy gave them kombucha instead. They drove away.
Eventually Dynee and I headed home. On the way we saw Lacee and Chelsea and their kids. I invited them to the FRG meeting next week. We talked a little longer and then we went home. I stayed outside to re-pot some dahlias. I also had to replace the bamboo pole that the petunias were hanging on since the first one split. I saw that Dynee had dumped some plants up in the woods and I resolved to go get the dirt later. I put out a pan of beer for the slugs. In less than an hour, I noticed they had found it already.
Chris had made onion soup, so I ate a bowl of that. Then he sliced up some peppers for us. I topped mine with sprouts and fermented soybeans. I checked e-mail again. I got into a text conversation with the kombucha group on post. I listened to a tapping audio. I made notes for my blog.
Chris made himself a drink, then we sat together and watched three episodes. Afterward, we dressed the bed with clean sheets. Chris retired for the night and I stayed up to post to my blog.8

Fertilizer
I played the CD in bed last night, but it was too loud. And when I tried to turn the volume down, it would go silent. I guess that was the fault of the player itself. Anyway, so once the first part was over, then the homemade delta part began. It wasn't too loud, but it did not put me to sleep. It went from 4 b/s down to 1 b/s and maybe it needed to be slower. Eventually I fell asleep.
I woke up hearing Chris take his shower. He had already taken the food waste out. It was 8:30. I stayed in bed a little longer, but was up before he left. I drank a quart of lemon water and checked e-mail. I called Myra and we talked for a while. She was getting ready for her vacation. Dynee texted about going to the bank at 11. I made breakfast and got a few bites before it was time to leave. I got dressed and we walked down to the bank. It was open. We were invited to sit in the office. We talked to the head lady about getting an account for the FRG. She said we could re-open it with the same name and TIN number if the number was still available with the IRS. It sounded so simple that I wondered why it hadn't been done before. Dynee called her husband to make sure the previous name was ok, and then we tried to look up the TIN, but apparently that needed a call to the IRS. When we got back, I contacted Maria, our treasurer, and asked her to handle it. She also said all the notebook stuff I gave her was outdated and could be shredded. I told her to go ahead and shred whatever she thought was appropriate.
After our conversation I realized I had forgotten one thing. I texted her to ask if she minded if I mowed her lawn. While waiting for an answer, I looked up my pictures from the Christmas party. I identified as many people as I could. I sent the names to Amber so she could deliver the Christmas ornaments that she bought specifically for the party.
Maria didn't mind. So I put on long pants and rugged shoes. I rolled the mower to her place and proceeded to mow, creating straight lines all across the area. Being on the corner, she had a lot of grass (and weeds). But I stuck with it until it was all mowed. I was nearly faint with heat and thirst. I rolled the mower home and had several glasses of filtered water plus a large container of coconut water. I took a break to sip in front of my laptop, checking e-mail. I had something to eat as well. I scrubbed my teeth with a washcloth dipped in baking soda. Then I sipped vinegar. After the chemical reaction subsided, I rinsed out my mouth, feeling clean, but still not as white as I hoped.
Then I went outside to fertilize the plants. I put a tablespoon of seaweed fertilizer in each milk jug of water. I watered the potted plants first, then the planted ones. I used two on the strawberry patch. Standing by the strawberries, I saw the window needed washing. I got a small spray bottle, a bucket of soapy water and some paper towels. I scrubbed at the glass, but could not get all the water spots off. I cleaned the tracks and sills. Then I poured the bucket of water into the ditch behind the house. I went back inside, to make seed crackers. While they baked, I was online, reading the handbook for FRG's. Not exactly exciting reading. I played an audio and sat by the infrared bulb. Chris came back from the battlefield. He and Ross had found some stuff, but he didn't bring anything home. Continuing to listen, I caught up on Sudoku puzzles. Chris did two loads of laundry. I paused my audio so we could watch TV. I cleaned my teeth again, tracing around the edges with a special tool. Then we watched two episodes. Chris stayed up on his laptop. I tried to remember everything I did today, in order. I posted to my blog and probably went to bed.

Another quilt is born
I played my CD in bed, but it turned out to be the same session as the other CD I made years ago. It did not work any better.
I woke up early when Chris left before 5. I could not go back to sleep, so I laid on the couch and listened to a professional delta session. It did not work either. I oiled my hair, then practiced my trombone while the oil soaked in. I took a shower, and got dressed. I decided to use the other delta session labeled 'Intense”. But it was only 40 minutes long, so I decided to make a 30 minute session to follow it. But I had to reload and re-activate all the neuroprogrammer software. Then it was time for my morning tapping buddy.
We tapped for over an hour for her upcoming meeting. Afterward, I made and ate breakfast. I texted Dynee then meditated. The meditation was interrupted by a response to go to the bank. I put on my shoes and went outside. She met me and we walked to the bank on post to talk about getting an account for the FRG. But the bank was closed for Children's Day. We checked the post office for her mail, but there was none.
Then we walked to Michele's bank and got one full withdrawal. According to the slip, there was only one day left to go. We walked back to base. Chris was home for lunch. Dynee had told me she had an app on her phone to take blood pressure. I found it online and wanted to download it but it wanted too much personal information. I looked for another one online and then used the phone to find it. But again, it wanted to know things like my location and my address book.
I put on an audio on cell phone radiation and listened while shining the red light on my itchy spot for about 10 minutes. I also read a quilting magazine, and deleted e-mail. I put on another audio and tried to catch up on Sudoku.
Dynee called to ask me to come over. I went over to her house to compliment her on finishing her quilt, and to answer questions about her next quilt, already in progress. I went back to my audio. I did one more meditation with Oprah.
The secretary asked me if I wanted her to post an announcement of the next meeting. I had been putting it off all day, so I made myself sit down and write it, including a request for a vice president and snacks. I posted it to the community page and she 'shared' it to the FRG page.
Chris came home from work and made himself supper. I went to the shed to get the tote bag of large notebooks that Amber dropped off yesterday. When I opened them, they were full of receipts and bank statements. I walked them down to Maria's place, to let her as treasurer, figure it out. It was raining, so I used Chris' umbrella.
I made a celery smoothie and ate some sprouts. My gut had been bubbling all day and I hoped the food would help, but it didn't. When Chris was ready, we watched several episodes on TV. Then he went to bed, reading for a bit first. I took my nightly supplements. I changed the batteries in my little CD player and prepared to create a 30 minute delta session to help me sleep. But my night time tapping buddy called early and said she'd like to reschedule. I was ok with that, having woken up before 5. So then I posted to my blog, hoping to finish a delta session so I could burn it to CD and listen to it in bed.

FRG turnover
I got up just before 8 and got dressed. Myra called just after 8. She wanted to get the battery for the lawn mower to finish the grass at the quad. I got it from the shed and took it out to the curb. Dynee was up and sweeping the sidewalk, so I talked to her for a moment before Myra arrived. I put the battery in her front seat and she drove away. I went inside to drink a quart of water and to check e-mail I wrote a list of things I intended to do today. One of them was to mow at the quad, but I checked that off because Myra was doing it. I got hooked transcribing the audio from last week. I did quite a bit of it. I made and ate breakfast. I searched the Swanson website for capsule versions of my liquid supplements.
Myra returned with my lawn mower, saying it took longer than she thought. I went back to transcribing, when Chris came home with a package from Swansons. I stopped transcribing to talk to him. I checked e-mail while he ate lunch.
Then Chris left for work. I hunted up our NEO packet. I put a container of Epsom salts in my bag for later. I washed my feet and went to NEO at the chapel. I signed in and sat with Terri. She had handed her packet to a group of men at the back of the room, so I handed mine in, too. Amber arrived later with her packet and her son. The leader gave us the talk, which we had heard several times before: essentially twice a year. Then I stood in line to get my packet. They told me I needed a few more forms and a something for my car key. I promised to tell Chris. Then, since no one was at the desk, I asked the chaplain if I could reserve the chapel classroom for next week for an FRG meeting. And he wrote it down. I walked home and watered my plants. I read some e-mail.
At 2:40, I walked out to the massage place after shaving my calves. I got there right at 3. The lady sat me down and filled a bucket with water, adding the red stuff. I did not know how to tell her not to. She hasn't done it in so long that I thought she knew not to. But she did put in the Epsom salts I gave her.
After my feet soaked for a long time, (I had my eyes closed, listening to classical music on my phone), the lady woke up the massage man. He came out and rubbed my soles, toes, ankles and calves. It was wonderful, mostly.
On the way back from my massage, I stopped at the little grocery store and bought a plastic container of little tomatoes. Originally I wanted the bowl of big tomatoes for $3, but they were soft.
When I got near the tennis court, I ran into the head of CYP. She asked if we (the sewing group) had any shiny material to make sashes for Mother's Day. I told her we had some yellow leftover from the Belle dress Myra made for the Beauty and the Beast party. She said that would be fine and if we didn't have time to make it, we could give her the fabric and she would make them.
Just as I crossed the street, Dynee was driving by and gave me a ride up the hill. I helped her carry her groceries in. Then we talked about the FRG money box and agreed to go to the bank tomorrow to see if we could get an account (without giving up our social security numbers).
Chris came home from work about 5. I was getting out the near infrared bulb from its box. I got out a small glass lamp and plugged it in near the couch. Chris screwed the bulb in. Then I sat beside it and aimed it at the itchy spot by my ear. I used my other hand to shield my eyes. I did not time it, but stayed there about 10 minutes.
Then Myra came over to give me some plant baskets lined with moss and dirt. Then Amber, the former FRG president, came over with her husband and son. They carried the FRG boxes to my shed. She handed me some notebooks, too. We talked for a bit.
After she left, I tried to figure out what to plant in the baskets. Myra had thought the half-round baskets would look good on the bamboo pole, but they were too big. It was a shame because the petunias needed bigger pots. I knew they would look good on the shepherd's hooks, but the fushias there did not need bigger pots. In the end, I put dahlias in the baskets because they needed it the most. It was getting dark so I came in.
The desktop computer had finally been rebooted enough that all the updates had taken place. I searched the computer for a delta BWE recording and found one. I put a blank CD in the slot and burned a copy to play in bed at night.
I ate some vegetables. I texted the treasurer and the new secretary to find a good time for a board meeting. Chris and I sat down to watch two episodes of Once Upon a Time. Then he went to bed. I answered the returned texts. I changed into my night gown and put the delta CD in the little CD player by my bed. Then I sat down to write my blog. It was hard to piece my day back together, but the list helped. When it was done, I finalized my Swansons order, posted to my blog, and went to bed.

Mowing here and there
I laid in bed, making intentions for the day, when suddenly I remembered the recyclables. I raced out of bed, threw on some clothes, and put a few plastic bottles in a bag. There were two cans as well. Not much. But I took the bags out to the curb. Nelson was putting his stuff out, and he greeted me by name. He also mentioned meeting Chris yesterday. His wife was standing on the steps. Dynee was out and about, too. So I was glad I took a moment to get dressed.
I went in to drink my quart of water. Then I got out the mower and mowed our lawn and Dynee's. I plugged up the mower to recharge. Then I checked e-mail and later made and ate breakfast. I packed a bag with fabrics for today's class.
Then I got out the mower and pushed it across the street and down to the trail and over to the quadplex. Deron was sitting there, watching his pack-out. I guessed it wasn't the best day for mowing their lawn. I did not want to get grass clippings in their packing boxes, so I just headed for the front part. Ross came along and said they weren't paying me enough. He also told me that he and his wife pick the prickly thistle and roast the roots for coffee. Hmm. I continued mowing and Myra came out. She saw me mowing and got a pair of grass clippers to trim it up. We worked until quarter of noon. Then she offered to mow the little bit that was left. I ran home and washed up, putting on clean clothes. I grabbed my fabric bag and the gift bag with the cupcake and card in it. Chris called to ask for his CAC card so I picked it up as well. I headed down to the quad. I gave the gift bag to Deron. Chris was walking up, so I handed him the CAC card. Myra was just leaving her place, so we walked to class together.
At first, it was just Lacee, Myra and me. I was afraid no one else was coming and I did not bring a project to work on. But Lacee was doing stack-n-whack. Very interesting. Then Chong came and showed off the quilt she made. It was a teal checkerboard with an ocean theme. Anna showed up, but did not make anything. Sue came, too, and wanted to make a quilt like Chong's. Allicyn and Maria wanted to make pillowcases. Maria made a small one for a small pillow. Allicyn did not finish hers because she had to wait for a machine.
Chong wanted to go to the watch shop, so Sue and I went with her. She parked near the bank and we walked. When we got there, my watch was ready. I paid $5 for the battery. Chong needed a battery, too. It took him a bit to get the watch apart, but then it went well. Soon we were back in the car and going back to the base. They wanted to stop at the corner market. I didn't think I needed anything, but I got fermented soybeans, cucumbers and sprouts. Then Chong took me home. Dynee was outside and we agreed to meet soon. I put the food away and had something to drink. Then I watered the rest of the flowers.
I went to Dynee's house. We trimmed the extra batting from the quilt. I sewed the ends of the binding together, and stitched it down. Then I showed her how to whip-stitch the binding and fold the corners. She said she could handle it from there. So I went home.
I rummaged through the fridge, looking for something to eat. Chris came home. I asked him to go fetch the battery from the lawn mower so I could recharge it. He ate his supper, and then I put chocolates in a bag for Scott. We walked down to the quad. I delivered the chocolate to Myra. Chris got the battery from the mower. We chatted with Myra for a few minutes, then walked back home. We plugged the battery in to recharge. Soon we were watching episodes of Once Upon a Time. We sat through 4 of them. Then Chris went to bed. The tapping buddy that I was supposed to skype at 10:30, wrote to ask if we could move it to Friday. That was fine with me. Then I wrote up my blog, took my evening supplements, and went to bed.

Dynee's top finally gets quilted
I got up at what seemed like a long time after Chris left. I found a centipede on the floor under the keyboard. I sprayed it with hydrogen peroxide, but it didn't do much. I wiped it up with a tissue and took it out back to light on fire. But the tissue did not want to burn and the centipede kept running away.
Then I heard my 7:30 alarm go off. I wrote myself a list of what I hoped to accomplish today. I drank my lemon water while reading e-mail.
I listened to audios while finishing the cupcake. Chris called to ask me to go to lunch at the ROK base after 11:30. I agreed. I made a banded pillowcase with a french seam. Just then, Chris came home from work with a package from the post office. It had the elephant watering can in it that I ordered for Dynee as a thank-you for watering my plants. I exchanged my shorts for a pair of pants. Then We went to lunch at the ROK base, on the third floor. It was called Royal Marine. We stood in a long line as it was just noon. When we got near the register, we were handed menus with pictures. I read as many items as I could before it was our turn, and ordered the last thing that sounded good: cooked seafood with vegetables. Chris ordered, too, by pointing to the picture. After Chris paid, the lady handed two tickets to some man, then gave Chris the receipt tickets. We sat at a table with other reservists. Like us, they got more food for less money at the ROK base than on the Chinhae base. We had a nice conversation. There were food preparation areas at both ends of the cafeteria. We had to watch the digital numbers above the areas to know when and where to pick up our meals. After we ate, we scraped our plates and put the dishes in a sink (like every one else was doing.
Chris let me drive back. I only stalled the car twice. As I walked passed Dynee's house, she was sitting in the window. She called to me and we talked. To anyone else, it looked like I was peering in her window.
Dynee wanted to work on her quilt, and she wanted to see my pillowcase. I took it over and she held it up so I could photograph it. I also brought my spray glue and PVC pole. We rolled the batting onto the PVC pole. We laid the backing on her rug. She plugged in her iron and pressed a few spots. Then we pinned it to the rug. I sprayed it. We unrolled the batting over the backing and smoothed it. Then we spread the top on the batting, then rolled up half of the top. We sprayed the batting on that half and unrolled it. Then we rolled up the other half, and did the same thing. We each got a needle and basted the edges.
Then she set up her machine on the diningroom table. She did not have a quilting foot so I got my open-toe embroidery foot from my machine. I quilted long lines while she helped move the bulk of the quilt. When only three rows were left, I switched with her so she could get the full experience. She quilted while I shifted the weight and helped pull it through the machine. Then she finished ironing the binding. She sewed the binding on, with me watching and helping with the corners.
Her husband came home from work and they had to go somewhere, so I went home, leaving my favorite foot on her machine. I watered my plants, and the strawberry bed. I posted the pillowcase to the community Facebook page as the next sewing project. Chris came home just long enough to say the fire chief wanted him to come over for drinks. And he left.
I looked up sentiments for going-away and wrote a card to go with the cupcake for Chaun. Then I put cocobutter in a 1 quart measuring cup and set it in a pan of water to melt. I added a little beeswax so the resulting chocolates wouldn't melt in my hand. I practiced my trombone. I found two plantains in the fridge. I was going to slice them, spice them and bake them, but they were too far gone. One was soft like a banana so I ate it so. The other was hard in the center and growing mold on the outside. I threw it out. When the cocobutter was melted, I stirred in some cacao butter. Only a little of the beeswax was melted and I fished out the rest. I whisked in the last of my cacao powder and some cinnamon and vanilla. I got out the chocolate molds. I filled them, adding nuts to most. I started cleaning up. Then Dynee called with a question. So I went over to answer it. Then I called Chris, who said he was just leaving. He came home tipsy. He tried a piece of chocolate, but it wasn't hard yet. So he ate a banana. Then we watched one episode. He headed to bed. I hadn't written to my blog yet, but I kept him company for awhile (just talking). He admitted that he was worried that a job offer might come in while we are in China and he wouldn't be able to see it (since they block internet access to certain sites). Then he went to sleep so he could get up early for a 5am phone call. I went back to the livingroom to write to my blog, and check e-mail one last time.

The reluctant president
I got up after 8, having dreamed I ate a piece of bread. I checked my coffee morning schedule. It was harder because I had no coffee pot. I tried using a small cooking pot but it did not hold enough water. So I heated water on the stove instead. I played an Oprah meditation, but could not make out the words well enough in the other room. After meditating and tapping, I started cleaning in bathrooms.
When I realized I needed more hydrogen peroxide, I thought it would be enough to make my Amazon order possible. So I added it, but it was still not enough (.66 short). So I added a package of cacao powder. Finally the order was large enough for the Add-On coffee pot. But then when I checked out, Amazon said it could not ship the coffee pot to this address. The “Learn more” link took me to a page listing all the reasons something can't be shipped to an address– no idea which one would apply to a simple coffee pot. I had to waste time looking at other coffee pots. I ended up with one at twice the price, but it was shippable.
I finished cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. I made a celery smoothie and drank it as best I could. Since the celery froze in the lower bin, it was kind of yucky.
Dynee texted me to go walking at 1. So when I finished the smoothie, I rebooted the desktop (in response to a message about updates), and went outside to water the potted plants. Dynee saw me watering and asked if I could scan something for her, So we went inside and put her ID and passport on the scanner. I told it to scan in color because I hadn't changed the black ink cartridge yet. It came out nicely, except for all the important information which was in black. But then we had to leave to meet Myra at her parking lot.
We ran into Terri walking Lulu so we stopped to talk. Then we waited a moment for Myra. The three of us walked out the front gate and went straight. When we could no longer go straight, we turned left and walked a ways. We found the store Dynee had seen from a bus, but it was closed. She could see in the window that they did not have the wreath she was looking for.
So we turned around and headed for the everyday market. We looked at plants in several places. I looked for coffee pots in several booths, but I guess Koreans don't have the kind of coffee makers that we do. We even looked at shoes. Finally we went to the jewelry store where the man puts batteries and bands on my watches. I handed him the Polar watch. He took it apart, and fiddled and fiddled. It was so hot in there, that I waited outside for a bit. Dynee waited inside. Other people came and went. His helper (wife?) waited on them. And still he fiddled. Finally Dynee called Ms. Chong on her phone. I gave it to the man and he explained to her that he forgot how he took it apart and could not get it back together. She gave him her phone number so he could call when he got the head man (from another store) to fix it. I thought Chris might remember how he did it yesterday, but Chris did not answer when I called.
Then we walked back to the base. Myra left for her house just as Chaun was getting into her car. I asked if they were having a going-away party and they said no, so I told her I had something for her and would bring it by later. Then Dynee and I walked to our duplex. We agreed to meet to walk to the FRG meeting at 5:50. I made and ate breakfast and checked e-mail. I got the idea to present gifts to the out-going FRG board, but what? I thought of the petunias, but two were larger than the third and I didn't want anyone to feel they got less. I took the cupcake pincushion which I wanted to give to Chaun and trimmed it up, trying to get all the edges free of the ink I drew the circles with. But afterward, the white frosting circles just looked dirty. So I started another cupcake. I drew and cut all the circles, trimming as need to make sure the ink was gone. Then I went outside to meet Dynee. I checked my phone and there was a message from her that they were leaving at 5:45, which was 6 minutes ago. So I headed to the meeting by myself. Myra met me as I passed her place and we walked together. Dynee and her husband were there, as were Hewett and Kelsey and Carolyn. Then Amber rushed in, apologizing for being late, but she had just come from work to be there. We chatted for a minute until Maria came in. Then Amber asked who wanted to be president. We all looked at each other and finally I said I would do it. Maria agreed to continue as treasurer and Kelsey agreed to become secretary. No one wanted vice-president, though to be fair, Myra and Dynee and Hewett and Ryan were ineligible. Excepting the former board members and the new ones, no one was left. Then Allycin came in. She was brand new and was just curious. So Hewett explained it to her. We talked about the problem with setting up an account with the bank. We agreed to meet again next Thursday. Then the meeting broke up. I stayed to talk a little longer. I got contact info from Maria and Kelsey. Then Myra and Allycin and I walked home. I was cold so I walked faster while the other two talked. Then Allycin and I walked together as far as my house.
When I got in, Chris was on his laptop. He asked if he was now First Man. Ha. I asked if he wanted to sleep with the president.
I had something to drink and a snack. I practiced my trombone. I resumed work on my cupcake. Chris called back that he was ready to watch. I came out with parts to work on. We watched two episodes. He went back to his laptop. I asked him to check on the desktop which hadn't rebooted correctly. Then I asked him to refill the black ink. After that, I scanned my passport and ID and it worked well. I texted Dynee in case she wanted to try again tomorrow. Then I sat down to write my blog as Chris went to bed. Myra had sent me a picture on my phone and I had to figure out how to get it to my computer. I answered Faye's e-mail. I deleted a few other e-mails. Then I finished my blog and posted it so I could go to bed.
