Monday
I got up after 8. I brushed my teeth in the unusually low sunshine. I exercised and practiced. I made fiber gel. I brought in the milk and eggs from the front porch. I heated half of the milk to 180, then cooled it to 100 while reading e-mail. I made slurries of different probiotics and put them in the dehydrator to ferment. I heated the other half of the milk. Some of it became cheese. The rest got stored for yogurt later.
I made up supplements for the week. I ate fiber gel. I sat outside and read in the sun. I came in and started making breakfast. I compared supplements on two different websites and placed two orders.
I went to the garden with an old ferment that was questionable. I poured it under the leaf layer. I stopped by the post office, then went home. Another old ferment went bad so I poured it on a part of the flowerbed where almost nothing grows. I steamed two batches of eggs while I peeled the previous eggs and put them in pickling juice.
I went into my sewing room to work on alterations. Chris came home and made his supper. I went to the chapel to set up the bells. Only the band members showed up. We played through all our hymns till Easter. That's when John and Michele showed up. But they just laid on the tables till Elizabeth arrived.
The band played on. Then Kim came with her son. She had one knee strapped to a rolling unit. But she joined the bell players. When I finished with the band, I joined the ringers to see how it was going. John asked me to play Kim's part so she could hear the song. So I did. Her son knew how to read music, so we sent the music home with them to practice. Then we put away the bells. Elizabeth helped me clean up the music and table padding. Then she and I walked out together.
I went home. Chris had my dinner in the toaster oven. I read e-mail as I ate and listened to JP. I deleted e-mail. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. I read some e-mail, then went to bed, forgetting to eat some sleep yogurt. But I slept anyway. I woke once in the middle of the night, then slept through till morning.
