Sunday
We got up after 8. I brushed and swished. I read e-mail and other messages. Chris went to the office. I worked on filling out forms. Around 11:30 I started making breakfast. I ate, then got dressed for church.
I took my trombone and cheese squares to the chapel. I chatted with several people there. There were soldiers from the Netherlands here for training. Then we stood for the singing of praise songs, and sat for the service. Afterward, Keli and Jenni and I played two hymns. Then the service was over. We shared snacks and people headed home. Mrs. Popken said she was willing to learn an instrument for band and wanted me to choose which one. I have to think about that! I hung back to talk to the chaplain, then I went home.
I read some messages, then went to the garden to water. The frost had killed the tomatoes. So I picked tomatoes from the frosted plants and brought them home. I sorted them by the condition they were in.
I called Faye to talk about our family medical history. She put Kevin on the line and we talked about stuff. Afterward, I picked greens to make a soup. Chris had heated rice and beef and mushrooms in the oven. I ate supper and played the family game: We ran into treasure hunters and fought the off. Instead of letting them die of their wounds, we stabilized them and took them to the mining camp to claim the reward. Then we went back to River City to sell the loot we had collected and buy stuff for future encounters.
I continued reading messages, then worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched three episodes of Taxi. It is more risque than I thought. Chris went to bed but I stayed up to scan two hymns and clean up the copy.
