Trunk or Treat

Thursday

I got up at 8. I got ready for the day. I checked messages and started a tapping video. I paused it to go to Bible study. We read through two chapters of John then discussed them. One lady gave me an empty detergent bottle for my homemade detergent. Eryne offered to help with the dino head.

I spent an hr finishing the spider with pipe cleaner legs. I pinned it to my shirt. I made a template for a drawstring bag.

I made breakfast, then sat outside and read. I came back in for The Highwire. They were asking people to donate to Jamaica. I hardboiled two batches of eggs, and posted for Math Morning.

I spent 2hr tweaking the spider and making the drawstring bag. At 4:30, I finished and jotted notes. I checked e-mail, etc.

I thought Chris would come home to dress up for Trunk-or-treat, but he didn't. Later, Michelle texted to ask where I was. So I pinned on the spider and put on a black jacket. I drove to her house and we walked to the Community Club to see Trunk or Treat. She thought my spider was a bedbug and creepy. We walked around and talked to people. Chris was there. Lots of neat costumes and trunks. Stirling said he gave out ramen, ice pops and candy. Most kids went for the ramen.

It got cold. Chris went inside to order a pizza. Michelle and I walked back to her house. I got in my car and went home. I put beef heart in the toaster oven and read the latest messages until it was done. Chris came home with a pizza. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I took the evening supplements, then read articles online. At 11, I took some activated charcoal and went to bed.

Weightlifting with Michelle

Wednesday

I got up right after 8. I brushed my teeth and opened a new package of coffee. I prepared for coffee morning with exercises, drybrushing and supplements. I put on music and settled down for meditation and tapping. Chris came home before I finished and he made a broccoli casserole for some potluck.

When I finished, I cleaned the bathrooms and the kitchen. I washed the dishes. I vacuumed the floors. I took a shower and got dressed. I called Jamie and we talked about Jack insisting that we clean the third bedroom that was locked the whole time that lady lived there. Jamie pointed out that Merci cleans after contractors make their repairs, so its her job.

I went to see Marcus. I looked around his place and quoted him $225. He accepted. I told him to schedule the sign-over with Housing. Then I went to the chapel to pick up my music folder. I went to open the swap shop and find out if Emily had given Shelly a key. Nope, so I went home, advertised the open swap shop and e-mailed Emily.

Michelle messaged me about meeting her at the gym at 7 for weight lifting and using the sauna. I made egg salad using the last of the pickled eggs. I listened to some talks online. I planted sprouted onions. I had collected the tops months ago and just recently for whatever reason, they sprouted.

When Chris came home from Mass, he suggested we fill the water jugs. So we took them to the post office building where the water machine is. I talked to Shelly and she said she now has a key and will open and close the swap shop on Wednesdays.

When we got back, I packed a sauna bag and went to the gym. I turned on the sauna, then went to the weight room. I had nearly completed the third round when Michelle showed up. She talked to me as we lifted. Then we went to the sauna and talked some more. It got up to 170. I drank a bottle of water, but it didn't last long. Finally we got out and changed clothes. She kept talking even as we walked outside to our cars. I didn't want to interrupt, but I needed to go home.

When I got home, it was after 9. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I got online and watched a video Faye sent. It was very one-sided. I looked up responses to the allegations. I looked up one of the actresses from tonight's episode. She was in The Nanny years ago. I worked on my blog and went to bed.

Who left the eggs?

Tuesday

I got up before 8, thinking it was later. I could smell the beef heart roasting in the oven. I brushed my teeth and turned on my phone. I saw a message from Jamie so I called her and we talked for some time. Then I exercised and made pickled egg salad. I practiced, then got on my laptop to check messages.

I went to 204 to clean for an hour. Then I went to Mikaela's house for the signover that Jamie was going to do. I talked to her and her boyfriend and filled out the contract. Then the inspectors showed up. They looked around. We all signed the contract. She said the ATM was down so she paid Jamie by Venmo. Jack said I had to clean the third bedroom even though it had been locked the whole time she was there because she was paying for 2 bedrooms, not three.

I went back to 204 and cleaned for 45 minutes. Then I went home for lunch. The bag with the empty egg cartons was gone so either CJ came with eggs or Jeannie. After lunch, I was reading messages and some scammer took over my computer and a commanding voice told me to call a number to get help from Microsoft. I didn't believe a word of it, so I shut it down. I read outside in the sun.

I went to Saronna's house to practice. Then I went to the library to deliver the shallow bin for the dinosaur hunt. I made the mistake of asking if they had a dinosaur head pinata, and next think I knew, I was being given a balloon and thanked for my efforts to make one from paper mache.

I went home for a few supplies, then over to 204 where I cleaned for 2 hours. I went home at 5:30. Thankfully Chris was home. He solved whatever scam was holding up my computer. So I read messages and ate beef heart. I worked on my blog. Blogger has a new look and I can't replicate what I had.

I looked at costume ideas. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I went back to looked at costume ideas while using the leg massagers. Then I went to bed.

Fern's delivery service

Monday

I got up at 8:30, having been awake for no discernible reason in the middle of the night. I took supplements, then got ready for the day. I practiced and exercised. I ate pickled egg salad. I pulled beef heart out of the freezer to thaw.

I met Casey at Jenni's garden. We picked the broccoli (most of which had flowered) and cabbage. I took it all home. I made up week's worth of supplements, then made and ate breakfast. I cut up the broccoli plants into stems, leaves and heads. I made up bags of them to give away.

I went to library for eggs. I delivered greens and eggs to Saronna. She gave me bobbins and two decks of cards. I delivered cabbage greens and cheese to Casey. I delivered cabbages and broccoli heads to Jenni. I hung a bag of broccoli greens on Michele's door.

I chose two hymns for next Sunday. I cleaned the shallow bin from the back porch. I jotted notes for my blog, and put the bin in my car. I looked at Halloween costumes online.

At 5:55, I got in the car and went to the chapel. I unlocked the door so people could go in, then ran home to get my forgotten music. When I got back, Saronna and Caleb were set up. Keli couldn't make it because she had to sub at the library for Melissa. So the 4 of us ( including Caleb's son) played through the hymns and some of the Christmas music. When my lip wore out, just before 7, we called it a night. We packed up, turned off the lights, and locked the door.

I went home to find Chris had fish on the stove for me. I prayed and ate. I looked at the rest of the costumes. I posted to my blog. I read e-mail and messages. I took the leg massagers out of the box and read the instructions. I strapped them to my legs.

Chris came into the kitchen to put away the leftovers. I took the massagers off and made tea. Then we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Afterward, I put the massagers back on and plugged into a power strip. Then I sat back to experience the squeezing and heat. It lasted 30 minutes. Then I took them off and went to bed.

Making cheese

Sunday

I got up after 8, having slept well, but not ready to get up because it was dark. I counted cash that Jenni had exchanged with me. I exercised and practiced. I read articles online and looked at crafts. I drank fiber gel, then worked on VMIS hours. A lady delivered a gallon of raw milk and I paid her in 1's.

I made and ate breakfast. I worked on my Saturday blog post. Then I got dressed up and went to the chapel. I sat in the front row. There were two gentlemen sitting behind me who greeted me like they knew me. I wondered if they were politicians, but later learned that they were fron the LDS church. The chaplain spoke about scripture and the band played two hymns, including Wonderful Words of Life. Chaplain said he particularly liked that one.

After chapel, I went home to start the cheesing process. I changed clothes. I got half a gallon of warm milk in the dehydrator, and started heating the second half gallon on the stove. But there wasn't time to finish.

I grabbed some scraps to use as kite tails, then headed to the chapel. Saronna was there with her two boys. As I helped them make kites, Eryne showed up with her daughter. When the kites were done, the Clarks went home because they had another commitment at 330. Eryne and I stayed hoping other kids would come, but they didn't. Michelle and Casey stopped by. We talked about what community activities might get more participation.

I locked the door and shut off the lights. Then we headed toward the main door. Casey and Michelle finished off the cheese squares. I put the container in my bag. We ladies continued to talk in the parking lot. But it got cold, so I disengaged and headed home.

I finished heating the second half gallon and added vinegar. I scooped out the curds. Then I put rennet in the other cheese and left it to stir while I read e-mail and messages. Then I scooped those curds, too. I posted to my blog and made notes for today. I watched an episode of Call the Midwife. Chris came home during my second episode. We chatted briefly, then he unpacked and got on his laptop. I finished the second episode and we went to bed.

Checking on the cat

Saturday

I got up before 8, and got ready for the day. I played Sir Duke and exercised. I made pickled egg salad. I watched a Rama walkthru and saw where the missing puzzle piece was picked up.

I ate fiber gel, then laid out in the sun and read. I took a shower and made breakfast. I went to the post office to check for mail. They were closed and there was no yellow slip saying they had a package for me. I was expecting one because FedEx tracking said it was at the post office.

I went cleaning for Tina. It was mostly dusting. She suggested I quit early. She gave me a taste of a lemon alcohol that she and her husband had made. It was good. Then she paid me and gave me the bottle.

On the way home, I stopped at the gas station to fill up. When I got home, I read online. A lady was advertising a gallon of raw cow's milk, so I messaged her. I heated supper and ate it.

At 7, I went to the chapel for Project Night. I turned on the lights and set up a machine, Casey and Cedric came, then MeryAnn. She made quilt blocks. Tara came for awhile to work on a costume. I laid out stuff for the kite project. Michelle did not come because she was chaperoning the homecoming dance.

We packed up at 9. Everyone else went home, but MeryAnn and I chatted in the parking lot for over an hour. I went home, and turned off the plant lights. Then I remembered the cat. I went over to John and Michele's house to check on the food and water. There was some food left, but the water was gone so I refilled it. Then Pipes alternately ate and drank and came over for kitty cuddles. Lather, rinse, repeat.

I turned off the lights, locked the door and drove home. I made my evening drink to sip as I worked on my blog, then went to bed.

The multiplication game

Friday

I got up at 8, having had a bit of a hard time staying asleep. I took supplements and got ready for the day. I played trombone and did exercises. I checked messages and made egg salad. Then I filled a bottle with water and went to the chapel for Math Morning.

Some of the kids had already arrived when I got there. I unlocked the chapel and went in. We assembled in the fellowship hall. I had deck of cards with 1-13 on them. I took out the 13's and shuffled the rest. I had the kids each pick two cards off the top, multiply them and announce the answer. If it was correct, they kept the cards. If not, the cards went to the next person in line to multiply. As we played several rounds, we narrowed down a set of rules. Saronna even played a round. Then I removed the 1's as well. I think next time I'll remove the 10's. I used the extra cards to give an extra point when someone knew a hard one right off without having to think it out.

At 10, we packed up and went home. I stopped at the post office to check the mail. I read messages online. I drank half of the fiber gel and laid out in the sun and read. I went in to make and eat breakfast. Then I walked to the swap shop to unlock it for someone who wanted to look for the makings of a Halloween costume.

I walked home. I watched NWNW and some other videos. Then I went to the commissary. I asked a cashier and she said they were getting paid for the next 30 days. I shopped, then checked out. Jenni was bagging. I gave her a dollar and will probably get it back when she trades 1's for 20's. She said I could pick anything in her garden.

I went home and put groceries away. I went to her garden and got cabbage leaves and broccoli leaves. I pulled some onions from my garden and went home. I opened a gopher tunnel and poured a 5 gallon bucket of water into it. I repeated it several times and also on other tunnels. No gophers came up, so either they weren't trapped by the water or they drowned.

It got dark, so I went in. I put beef, rice and sliced squash in a bowl in the toaster oven. I read e-mail till it was done. Then I prayed and ate it. I read more news. I worked on my blog. Jenni came over to exchange 1's for 20's. We talked a bit and I gave her a strawberry plant.

I went back in to finished my blog and get ready for Game Night. I took a bottle of tea and a bag of cabbage leaves and went to Michelle's house. She and I talked while Casey set up the game. Even then, we kept talking. Finally I loaded my saved game. I played through the sparse notes I had put on my phone. But there was one puzzle piece that I couldn't find anywhere and there was no going on without it.

I shut down the game at 10:50. However Michelle and I talked for some time. Casey went to bed and we kept talking. When I got home, I was disappointed to see that it was 12:30. I got ready and went to bed.

Setting up plant lights on the tower garden

Thursday

I heard Chris leaving as my 7:30 alarm went off. So I waited till the 7:35 alarm, then got up. I did the usual morning things to start my day. I checked e-mail and made egg salad. I also brewed a half gallon of puer tea. I filled a bottle and took it to the chapel.

I stopped by the post office on the way home. I read e-mail. I dug up potatoes, but they were too small to keep. I planted one in the tower garden.

I ate half the fiber gel, then read outside in the sun. I came in and made breakfast. I ate while watching The Highwire. I paused it at 1:20 and went to inspection. Of course we passed. One of them asked what it was like to have my husband at home. I assured her that he was going to work every day.

When I got home, I moved hoses from my trunk to the shed. I went to the library for copies. Keli showed me her Dinovember display. She still needs a kiddie pool to put sand and little dinos in. I told her a had a large red tub.

When I got home, Eryne texted me about the swap shop. So I went to the swap shop to let her check for home school materials. She gave me stuff for the kite-making event.

When I got home, I put the weedwhacker attachment on my mower and mowed the sidewalk down along the next lot. However the battery was low so it didn't do a good job. I took it home and plugged in the battery.

I hunted down 5' and 2.5' pieces of PVC and a bag of joints. I constructed a PVC frame around the tower garden. I attached the grow lights and turned them on. It wasn't how I imagined it.

Chris came home to pack his suitcase and the car. He went to pick up Michele and John. He brought John over to give me the key to check on their cat. Then they left.

I sliced up squash and zucchini, and put it in the toaster oven with beef. After 20 minutes, I ate it for supper. I listened to Tucker as I pieced puzzles and read Telegram messages.

I looked up the two types of plant lights and when and how long to use them. I worked on my blog and made tea. I turned off the plant lights. I watched two episodes of Call the Midwife, then got ready for bed.

Meditation morning

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30 to prepare for coffee morning. I practiced trombone and did chair squats. I made coffee and drybrushed, and did lymph-moving exercises. I read for half an hour with the red light. I meditated and tapped. I posted to Facebook for the hour of prayer at noon. I texted a short message to the chaplain. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes. I vacuumed the house and mopped the floors. I took a shower and cleaned the tub.

I peeled frozen eggs from the silicone muffin cups. I put the eggs in a ziplock and washed the muffin cups. I went by the swap shop to unlock it and to touch base with Shelly who agreed to keep an eye on it. Then I went to Housing and dropped off the squash that Jack requested. I went to the garden to scatter coffee grounds and pick up the 5-gallon bucket. When I got home, I checked e-mail and read messages while my phone charged.

Chris came home from work, then went to Mass. I watered the plants inside and out and discovered that it was raining. Someone messaged me about going to the swap shop. I said I was going soon to lock up. After he got home, I went to lock up the swap shop. I don't know if she went or not.

I watched the video that my online practitioner sent. I spent some time trying to figure out which choices to make. Finally I decided to go with what supplements I had since we aren't getting paid right now.

I posted to my blog for yesterday and made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. We played on our computers till 11. He went to bed and I came soon after.

Putting the garden to bed

Tuesday

I got up after 7:30. It was still kind of dark. I got ready for the day. I practiced Sir Duke and did exercises. I moved the tomato plants to the bookcase so they get more sun. I tied up the tower garden tomato plant. I put one plant on top of the tower garden. I ate a jar of dried apple slices. I uncovered the plants outside. I checked the shed for a small tomato cage but didn't see one. I printed out the music that would not print out yesterday. I scanned, cleaned up and printed music for Thanksgiving. Then I filed all the previous music back into the large binder.

I wiped up coffee drips from the front hall floor. I rolled up the tower garden covers and stowed them in their boxes. I captured rainwater in gallon jugs. I moved the sweet potato plants to where the sun was shining on the back porch. I looked all over the house for the dark blue linen that I ordered from Joanns some time ago. But I could not find it anywhere.

I read outside until the sun went over the house. I made and ate breakfast, then went to Saronna's house. We played through the hymns and most of the Christmas music. As I was leaving, Randy showed me the place he planted fruit seeds. He had gopher mounds and said if he had a big enough hose, he would gas them. I pulled an old vacuum hose from my car. It had metal ends. I gave it to him and went to the garden. I picked up a small tomato cage and rounded up the hose with the sprinkler on it. I went home.

I read e-mail and messages. Randy came over with the hoses from the fruit tree, we stowed them in my shed. I gave him another vacuum hose that doesn't fit my vacuum. We talked for awhile. Then I went inside.

I went to the garden to raked straw over it and to bring the hoses home. Chris was home, cooking supper. He brought the sweet potatoe plants in. Michelle sent me a pic of Randy running the hoses from his tailpipe to a gopher tunnel. She wanted me to come watch, but I figured there wouldn't be any activity.

I put beef tongue and squash in the toaster oven. I listened to some meditation clips. I ate dinner. I watched a documentary. I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I listened to one meditation after another while piecing puzzles. It was relaxing even though someone kept messaging me on Facebook. Then we went to bed.

Preparing for a freeze

Monday

I got up around 8. I got ready for the day and practiced Sleigh Ride. I read messages. I looked around the house and online for black chunky yarn to make spider legs. I called Jamie. I ate fiber gel, then went to clean for 90 minutes. Some men came to replace the motor in the swamp cooler and got debris on the floor. When I finished my part, I packed up all my stuff and left.

I went home and had lunch. I made more breakfast mix, then finalized my Swansons order. I looked at Rife machines online. They come from Germany so shipping is expensive.

I put two sprinkler heads in the car and went to the garden to get the third one. I rolled up the hoses. I packed straw around some squash plants. I went to Housing to schedule an inspection, and returned the sprinkler heads to Self-help.

When I got home, I picked some greens and sliced them up. I put supper in the toaster oven. While it heated, I woke up the old computer. I scanned a hymn, cleaned up the copy, and printed it out 3x on the same sheet of paper and still couldn't read it.

I ate most of supper, then hurried off to band. None of the kids came. We played hymns and Christmas music. We took out the ones that were nobody's favorite. Michelle came late and sang along. I asked Caleb to make a percussion part to Sir Duke. I asked Keli to find a pedal part to the Thanksgiving songs for the bells to play. Michelle carried my trombone and music satchel out as I turned off the lights and locked the doors.

I went home. I was surprised to see that Chris had brought in the tomato plants AND the tower garden. I finished supper. I listened to Sir Duke on Youtube. I posted to my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I looked up one of the actors. I went on to read other e-mail. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to cover the plants that are still outside. I listened to a podcast while piecing a puzzle, then went to bed.

Galaxy Quest

Sunday

I did not sleep well. RLS hit after I went to the bathroom. Nothing I took could stop it. Electrolytes slowed it down. I snuggled up to Chris to induce a hot flash. No hot flash, but the RLS quit. Then I went back to my side and it came back. Finally I tried lying down somewhere else, but sleep would not come.

Daylight came and my phone alarm went off. So I got up to turn it off. I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I did some exercises and played Sleigh Ride. I read e-mail and messages for awhile. Then I made a batch of cheese squares with tomatoes and olives. While they baked, I made up supplements for the week. It was warm, so I put on my bathing suit and laid out in the sun and read till noon.

I went inside and made breakfast. After eating, I changed into church clothes. I cut up the cheese squares and put half of them in a container and went to the chapel. I set them on the table and walked up front to assemble my trombone. Keli was playing a prelude and it was so nice.

For the service, we had three praise songs. Then announcements and a talk about giving and prayer. Then the chaplain talked about prayer. We musicians went up to play our hymns. Then we all talked together. I let the chaplain know he could have the leftover cheese squares. (He loves them so much he made soup with them).

I went home and changed clothes. I read e-mail. Chris finished his game. He made supper. I spent some time with my tomato plants because they might freeze tomorrow. We signed into Discord for the game. I spent most of the time looking at Pinterest. Afterward I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched Galaxy Quest, eager to see the berillium spheres in Goblin Valley State Park.

I finished my blog and we went to bed. I slept well.

What does the fox say?

Saturday

I got up after 8:30. I took supplements, then did exercises and played trombone. I checked messages and read e-mail. I asked for a massage and Chris complied. I made taco seasoning, then showered. I ate fiber gel, then laid out and read. I made and ate breakfast.

At 2, I went to the chapel for sewing class. Saronna brought her four kids. Summer brought two kids and Cedric came. So we made 7 masks. I might have left early, but Wilhelm ran off to play before finishing his mask. So we stayed till 4. I stopped at the post office on the way home.

I read messages. I found a spider beanbag project that would be cool for next year. I pulled tumble weeds growing along the sidewalks on my street. Nearly killed my back. We went to the post office to get water from the Primo machine.

I ate supper and read online. Then I went to the chapel for Project Night. Michelle was first to show up. Then Jenni and Michelle's family. Then Randy and Saronna showed up for Rhythm Class. So I grabbed the level 4 books and we tapped through them. After class, they left. I went back to Project Night and watched Michelle play Mario II. She is very good. Just for me, she took several warps and I got to see how the game ends. Then Jenni and I packed up the sewing machines. Then they all left and I stayed long enough to turn off the lights and lock the doors.

I went home. I helped Chris fold laundry. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I worked on my blog. We made the bed with clean sheets. I re-posted for the kite project next week. We went to bed.

An Inconvenient Study

Friday

I got up at 8. I got ready and dressed. I did some exercises. I made fiber gel. I checked messages. Then I put on a coat and went to the chapel. I stopped at the post office to get the mail. Then I opened the chapel for Math Morning.

Saronna brought her kids. I worked with Moira and Casey worked with Wilhelm. Sophia was fine on her own. At 10 we packed up and went home.

I read outside. I made a copy of a hymn, cleaned up the image and printed it out larger. I made and ate breakfast. Later we went to the commissary and got all we needed for the week.

I looked up ways of making a mask. I made a template, the looked through my fabric and discovered I had made a simple mask last year. So I had to up the ante. I looked at felt masks, decided on a fox mask because I had more red than any other color. I made a mask, stopping to check other versions. I put on yarn ties and took a pic of it.

I put supper in the toaster oven. I ate fiber gel and took out the compost. I mowed the back yard and watered the plants. I ate supper, then finished watching An Inconvenient Study.

I posted to Facebook for the sewing class. I moved pics from my phone to the computer and realized I had dirty pics on my phone. Does anyone else take pics of dirty houses? I checked messages, then worked on my blog.

I looked at Rama video and hints. I made a bottle of tea. I picked some greens and a squash. Then I took all of those to Michelle's house for Game Night. Casey put Rama on. I loaded my saved game. Cedric really wanted to see the video clip of Arther C Clark reprimanding me for dying, so I ran into the spider biot and let it kill me.

Then I reloaded the game and played through all the notes I had taken. I got to the red round building and went to the second floor. There were computers with calculations in base 16. That slowed me down a lot. But it was very doable.

In the end, I could not figure out how to get around the second spider biot. So at 10:50, I shut down the game, bid Casey goodbye, and went home. Chris was still up. I got ready and went to bed. Chris soon followed. Although I did not fall asleep soon, I got up once and then slept through the night.

Slow-roasted tongue

Thursday

I got up late. I could smell the beef tongue that Chris had in the oven. I went through the usual morning routine. I went to Bible study at 9. We went through two chapters of John and discussed them. We chatted afterward. It was almost 11 till I got home.

I drank fiber gel and read outside. It was too cold to wear a bathing suit. I made and ate breakfast while watching The Highwire. I paused it at 2 to go to Saronna's house. We played through the hymns and Christmas music. She gave me a jar of pear juice. Then I went cleaning down the street at 3:30. I went home just before 5.

I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I read messages, then ate some of the tongue Chris slow-roasted all day. I watched part of An Inconvenient Study.

I tried to get a hold of Chris, then headed to Game Night with a box of Scrabble. I stopped at the garden to pick the tiny squash that will never grow up. Then I arrived at the Community Club. I joined Game Night already in progress. I played Scrabble with children and adults, usually only one at a time. Chris showed up, but he played a card game with some others. He helped my opponents, then went home. I played with Cedric and Casey, then Michelle showed up. She took a pic of the board when we got all the tiles placed. Hard-core Scrabble players would be horrified at what rules we broke. We all went home.

I jotted notes for my blog. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then we each retired to our laptops until 11. I got ready and went to bed. Chris joined me. I had a hard time falling asleep. RLS visited. Finally I took the homeopathic remedy and fell asleep till morning.

Protecting the tomatoes

Wednesday

I got up at 7:45. I prepared for Coffee Morning. I turned on music and did the lymph-moving exercises. It rained. I did meditation and tapping. Chris came home between sessions and I spied the wet footprints before I knew he was here.

I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes and stacked them on the stove. I vacuumed the floors and took a shower. I mopped the floors and made copies of music while they dried. I taped music pages together. I made egg salad and checked messages.

I used a handtruck to move three large potted tomatoes to the front porch where they can't get rained on or sprinkled. They are soaked from rain and sprinklers. I put the frost cover on the tower garden and moved it toward the house.

I went to the post office building to get my hair cut. I popped into the swap shop to see if anyone was there. Jenni opened it in the morning and left the lights on all day. I could see a lot of stuff had been donated. The hairdresser said that Jenni came in to get her hair colored, and spent some time putting up donations. So what I saw must have come in afterward.

When I got home, I ate bits of fruit from the trees, avoiding the bad spots. I checked on the gopher and it was still there. I didn't see any ants, but maybe they were hiding from the rain.

I went in the back to sort my collection of gift bags and tissue and wrapping paper, etc. I found gifts from long ago and far away. Chris came home from work and made himself some supper. I found some jewelry so then I sorted my boxes of jewelry to make sure all the earrings had matches. I found stuff I didn't know I had. I sat down with a large glass of water. I checked e-mail and worked on my blog.

I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I looked at reviews of leg massagers while drinking electrolyte water till 11, then went to bed. And slept.

Harvesting the dregs

Tuesday

I got up once during the night to pee, but otherwise slept. I heard Reveille go off and Chris was not in bed. I stayed in bed hoping to sleep again, but no. I heard Chris go in for his shower and just then the 7:30 alarm went off. Very odd. After he dressed and left the room, I got up to start my day.

I took supplements, then practiced my trombone and did chair squats. I sprinted in place. I made egg salad. I exchanged the $20 bill egg money for 5's and 1's. I checked e-mail and messages.

I put together some cleaning supplies and went to 83D to clean. First I stopped to pick up the mail. When I arrived, I sprayed the oven with ammonia and soaked the filter and knobs. I cleaned the fridge inside and out. I started on the cabinets.

I went home for fiber gel. I sat outside and read. Then I made and ate breakfast. I scrambled eggs and poured them into a muffin tin to freeze. I hardboiled a batch as well.

I called Michelle but she was eating lunch. Later she called back to say meet her at the pear tree. So I put more cleaning supplies in my car and drove over there. Casey brought a ladder and I climbed it to pick two remaining pears. But they were old and mushy. Still good for seed though. Then we sat it by the apple tree. We found a few remaining apples, but they weren't worth eating. Still good for seed. Then we went to their house. Casey pointed out the dead gopher. I picked it up with a baggie and sealed it.

I went back to 83D to clean. I finished the cabinets. I put the racks in the dishwasher and set the Self-clean cycle on the oven. I cleaned the utility room and the windows in the living room. I vacuumed all the baseboards.

At 5, I went to the library to return books and a CD. I also had some copies made of Sir Duke. We chatted for awhile, then I went home. Chris was frying up squash and onions. He heated up leftover pork and rice as well. I stake the gopher out by an ant hill. Then I ate while reading e-mail, and looking at reviews of leg compression devices. People claim they sleep better after using them.

I worked on my blog. I posted for the Wed. hour of prayer at the chapel. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I drank water with electrolytes in it and read e-mail till 11, then took supplements and got ready for bed. Sadly I had a hard time getting to sleep. THEN RLS kicked in. Sigh.

The new superman movie

Monday

I went to bed late, then got up often because of RLS. So I slept in until 9. I wanted to leave for Tooele at 8:30. The electricity was already off. Sigh. I got ready for the day, and then Chris got up. So we headed out before 10. We listened to the first disc of a book on CD and it got so graphic and macabre that I suggested we move to the other book on CD. So we did. It was also a thriller, but not so horrible.

We shopped at Luckeys, then Melanie's (they were surprised to see me on a Monday). Then at Macey's. Mickey called me because her heat was out and I passed her on to Chris, who made a call and got it handled. Then we drove back to the base. Chris brought in the groceries, but we didn't want to open the fridge so we left them on the counter until the power came back on. I made fiber gel by hand and drank half. Then I laid out in the sun for 15 minutes. Then I made more breakfast mix.

I started making breakfast. And just then the power came back on so I could heat tea. I ate breakfast in front of my laptop, catching up on e-mail and messages. Chris took a shower and we went to the commissary for onions and cheese.

When we got home, I had a half hour to choose four hymns and clean my trombone slide which had been soaking in the tub over night. Then we went to Michele and John's place to watch the new Superman movie (and get covered in cat hair). When it was over, I realized it was 5:45 and I jumped up in alarm.

Chris took me home. I got something to drink, then loaded up my trombone and music into the car. I went to the chapel and found people just ahead of me. I let us into the sanctuary and turned on the lights. We played through the 4 hymns and a bunch of Christmas tunes. Then I dismissed them. I spoke with Keli about children's choir. Neither one of us felt we had the time to do it.

When I got home, Chris had a bowl of hot meat and rice for me. I said a prayer and ate. I read messages. I jotted notes for my blog. I talked to Jamie, who is bummed about her son's retinitis pigmentosa.

I made tea and covered the tower garden. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I listened to an interview on nanobots. I jotted notes for my blog and pieced puzzles.

Picking the last of the veggies

Sunday

I had hard time getting to sleep, but once I did, l slept pretty well. I had a bad dream, then woke up after 9. I got up to brush my teeth, take supplements, do chair squats and drink magnesium water.

I checked e-mail, then ate two eggs. One turned out to be raw, so I threw it in the microwave. I added to the supplements I made yesterday (I thought I had finished). I caught up on e-mail and listened to an interview on cancer.

I ate some fiber gel and made breakfast. Then I laid out in the sun before eating it. It was kind of cool, but warm enough in direct sunlight.

I ate breakfast, then got dressed for church. I picked two hymns. I took cheese squares and my trombone to the chapel. I laid them on the back table, then went up to show the hymns to Keli. I assembled my trombone and sprayed the slide.

Chaplain opened with a prayer. He also had a list of announcements. One was that there will be Adult Sunday school at 11:30 on Sundays. Another was about a children's choir. He asked if someone who knows music could help (and kind of looked at me). He also announced bell choir and said interested people should contact me.

We had praise music and a blessing for the offering. A young girl read the verses. Then Chaplain spoke about prayer. I wished I had chosen a hymn about prayer. When he called us musicians up, he asked me what the hymn number was. I felt a little rushed and messed up the beginning of the hymn. It didn't help that my slide was sticking (in spite of having sprayed it).

Afterward, I spoke to him about that. I also told him that we didn't have everything we need for bell choir. I showed him the paraments I had dropped off last week. He didn't seem to want the altar cloth. I gave him the leftover cheese squares. He told that he makes omelets with them. Okaaaaaayyy.

I exchanged cash with Jenni and went home. I changed clothes. I posted about children's handbells and for band practice. I went to the garden and saw that the leaves on the squash and zucchini plants had frozen at some point. I picked all the squash and another vegetable that I could find. There was a tiny cantaloupe with a hole, but I picked it anyway.

I also went by the pear tree, hoping to find at least a pear on the ground. Nope. But I did spy one in the tree. Also saw an apple on the apple tree. When I got home, I texted Michelle, asking for help to get them down.

Chris made me supper and signed into the game. Soon we were all signed in. We found ourselves on a boat, having just captured a pirate ship. We renamed it. Another ship found us and said there were fees to pay, so we followed them to shore. Then apparently we were supposed to foment a revolution of some kind. I had no idea how to do that, so I pieced puzzles as I listened to the others play.

Afterward, I made a bottle of tea and ate the little cantaloupe. I took out the compost. I picked some cabbage leaves for Michelle and chose a zucchini for her. I went to her house for Game Night (which Casey specifically invited me to) but the house was dark. So I texted her. She said they were on their way, and to go right in. So I did. I turned on the lights and sat with the cat. In 20 minutes, they arrived, wet from swimming at someones house. Michelle talked to me as everybody showered and dressed and got settled. Casey put the pi together and started the game. I used my notes to navigate around. But eventually, I had to enter the room where I died last week. And I died again. But at least I saved the game just before I went in.

I bid Casey goodbye and went home. Chris was still up. I took supplements and worked on my blog. I looked up a little bit of Rama. Then we went to bed. Lying there, I thought about my tomato plants and not knowing the weather, I got up to put a sheet over them.

Legend of Zelda

Saturday

I got up before 8:30, having gone to bed late. I only got up once in the night. I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I did chair squats, but waited till Chris got up to play trombone. I made fiber gel. I checked e-mail. I ate two hardboiled eggs.

Michelle texted that she needed wrapping paper and would come over at 10. So I went through my stash to see what I had. She came over and saw what I had. She picked a red one. I also offered her fabric, so she took that too.

After she left. I started making up supplements for the next week. I paused it so Chris could give me a massage. He took his shower while I finished more of it. Then I took mine. I laid in the sun and read a little. Then I made breakfast and ate it.

At 1:30, I put together what I needed for cleaning and a vacuum. Then I headed to Tina's house. She asked for the rugs to be swept and for dusting. So I vacuumed all the little throw rugs and suctioned around them. Then I dusted some lamps and speakers. We talked, and she paid me. Eventually I carried my stuff out and she gave me a box of books. I headed home.

I arrived just before 5. I changed my shoes and filled a bottle with water. I met Michelle at the gym and we walked. Jenni joined us. We talked until 5:30, then went downstairs so I could put up my windows. Then we sat and talked until 6.

I went home, expecting to find ground beef in the fridge. But it was in the freezer. So Chris ran to the commissary and bought pork and grapefruit. He cooked pork and cabbage. I ate quickly.

I went to the chapel for Project Night. I didn't have a project, so I looked through the shelves for something to read. Then Michele showed up with papers to tape together to make a pattern. Then Casey and Cedric came with kit parts to glue together. Casey brought a Nintendo so I looked for something to play. Michele suggested Zelda. So I played. I died way more times than with Rama. I texted John and Michelle for help. Michelle said she didn't really know the game. John had suggestions but apparently they weren't for the Nintendo version of Zelda.

I continued to play after Michele left at 8. By 8:45 I was ready to leave. So Casey and Cedric finished gluing and packed up. I read till they were done, then we turned off the lights and left.

It wasn't raining any more, but it got cold and I didn't have a coat. I went home. I helped Chris fold laundry and dress the bed. Then I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Afterward, I took evening supplements and worked on my blog. It was late when I got to bed.

The Air Force Ball

Friday

I got up after 8, having slept pretty well. I brushed my teeth, took supplements, practiced trombone and did chair squats. I got ready for Math Morning. I ate two hardboiled eggs as I checked messages.

Then I grabbed the mail from yesterday and headed to the post office, where I unlocked the swap shop for Michele's friend. Then I went to the chapel for Math Morning. The chaplain and his assistant were just locking up. They left. I turned on lights and got out the pencils. I sat and opened the mail, which was mostly junk. Casey came in and we chatted until the Clark kids showed up. Then we helped them with math. Saronna and Jedediah counted the chairs in the chapel. Moira and Sophia finished their math.

After they left, I locked up. I dropped by the post office to lock the swap shop and to get the mail. Then I went home. There was a bill, so I wrote a check and got it ready for the mail. I read some e-mail, then brought up the Zoom link. I fished around in the bathroom for my small collection of make-up. Then I sat down to jot notes for my blog.

I paused that to sign into Zoom. Brendan and I talked for an hour. He had questions about health goals and such. The answers will help him create a new online program tailored to what the demographic wants.

I made and ate breakfast out in the sun. I took a shower. I took my bag of makeup and hunted for the little clutch I made I Korea. I went to Michelle's house. I arrived at 2, which is what she told me to do. But Angelina was still applying Michelle's makeup. Michelle's mother was visiting, so I chatted with her and with Isadora.

After 45 minutes I was getting antsy. So Michelle went off to work on her hair and Angelina put make-up on my face. She did glitter and eyeshadow. I wasn't so sure about it, but everyone kept saying it looked good. I gave her $10 and said my goodbyes while Michelle sat down for more.

I went home and did my own eyebrows. I did a bit of eyeliner and lip pencil and lipstick. I shaved my upper lip. Then I put on pantyhose and shoes and a slip and the dress. I tried on several necklaces, then found a blue pendant one with matching earrings. Was it too much?

Michelle arrived around 4 and I went out to ask her. She loved it. So I put a few items plus supplements in the clutch. Then Chris and I got in her car. Casey drove us to Hill Air Force Base, arriving at 6. Luckily, a parking space had been reserved with Chris' name on it. So we didn't have far to walk.

We went in and made our way to the main room. We had to sign in. Then we entered. Planes had been moved out of the way to make room for tables and chairs. 500 people they said. Speeches had already started. We walked around till we found table 1. We sat with the Colonel and his wife. Salads were on the table.

When the talking was over, waitstaff brought us plates of food, according to what we had preordered. I ate the salad, then moved to the meat and potatoes and carrots. I kept glancing around for Michelle and Casey. Finally I saw them standing at the back row of tables. I texted her, but she didn't get it right away.

She texted back wanting to go get drinks (using the tickets we'd been given). I told Chris I was going to go and Ria said she'd go with me. So the two of us went to find Michelle, who was already standing in line somewhere. There were multiple drink lines. We found her in the back. We got in line and got mocktails. Then the three of us wandered around and found the photobooth. I wanted to get back to my dinner, so we left.

I finished my dinner. Michelle texted me that they ran out of the beef and brought her creamed chicken, which she couldn't eat. Chris and I went to see her and when we got there, she said they had found some beef but it was green so she refused to eat it.

Then the four of us went to the photo booth to have wacky pics taken. She loved it because we did it last year.

We went back to our tables. Cake was being served. It was far too sugary for me. Then they had a guest speaker – a female general. She spoke well, but my phone rang and I hastened to answer it. It was the older lady that I clean for every other Saturday, returning my call. I spoke as softly as possible as we discussed cleaning tomorrow. Then I hung up.

After the speech, she was presented with a coin. We sang the Air Force song in honor of its birthday. Then loud music started up in the back. Michelle and Ria and I followed the sound to find people dancing. I tried to dance along, but it wasn't my kind of music. Then the next song had instructions, like a line dance. Everyone seemed to know what to do, but I couldn't make it out because of the raucousness. So I sat down to wait it out. The next song wasn't any better, so I left, and walked back to our husbands. Soon, Ria and Michelle came back as well. I guess they didn't want to dance without me.

Ria and Brian left for their hotel. Michelle, Casey, Chris and I went out to the car and Casey drove us home. It was a two hour trip, and a stop for gas. They dropped us off at home. I took off the jewelry and dress and shoes, etc. I put stuff away, then got dressed for bed. I rubbed magnesium oil on my arms, which stung because the sequins on my dress had abraded the insides of my arms. Chris went to bed while I took supplements, and worked on my blog. Sadly, I stayed up afterwards to check e-mail.

The end of our trip

Thursday

I had trouble sleeping again because of the heat. However, Chris got up in the middle of the night to put on pajamas because he was cold. So maybe it is just me. I got up at 7:30 to take supplements, then went back to bed.

We got up for good at 9. He took a shower while I checked e-mail. Then I showered and wore the only clean clothes I had left. We read on our laptops till 10:30. Then we packed our stuff into luggage and boxes, which went into the car. We pulled out around 11.

It seemed like a long way home. The book on CD ended around 2:30, so we had around 90 minutes of local radio. The best scenery was at the beginning so I was eager to get back once the book ended.

We arrived at 4. We stopped by the library. While I chatted and picked up another season of Criminal Minds, Chris visited MWR and met some new employees. He came to the library and got some books on CD. I picked up two boxes of eggs and we left.

We went by Michele's house because John said they had a sink hole. Chris checked it out. After more conversation, we left.

We stopped at the post office for mail and packages and went home. We unpacked the car. I made breakfast, then got on my laptop. I posted for Math Morning and the kite-making event. Michelle messaged me. She sent me a video but it didn't go through.

I watched The Highwire as I read Telegram messages. I worked on my blog. I messaged Kurt about my lost file. He gave me advice on how to make sure it doesn't happen again. I read something about an OpenOffice backup. But when I did a search on appdata\roaming, nothing came up. I did other searches, suggested by Kurt or by the internet. Eventually I did a search on 'blog' and a bunch of stuff came up, including the appdata\roaming backup that I was looking for. But I couldn't access it. So Chris came and figured that out for me while I took a break.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds season 3. We had a discussion. Then I took the evening supplements. I used the first version of my blog posts to add to the version I rewrote and posted after the file got lost. Finally I went to bed.

It's "Where is Waldo" for rock monsters

Wednesday

I stayed in bed late because I didn't sleep well in the room. Even though the AC was on and it was cold overnight, the room was hot. Or was it just me? Chris took a shower and went to the front office for breakfast. I took a shower, too. Then I got out two hardboiled eggs, surprised to find them frozen. But I ate them anyway. I also ate a grapefruit, which was also frozen. It was harder to peel than the eggs.

We got in the car and went back to Goblin Valley State Park. We had a two-day pass. We parked at the trailhead and walked to see Valleys 1 and 2. There were deep crevasses which we had to climb into and out of in order to reach the second valley. Chris got really red, so we walked back to the trail head. He chatted with a group from Sweden. We meet a lot of Europeans at the state and national parks.

When we got back, I made and ate breakfast. I called Holiday Inn again to see if they found my nightgown. But no.

We drove to the BLM office. Right behind it was the Wolverton Mill. It was build in the early 1920's and relocated to the BLM office decades later. The owner had built it to crush ore for goldmining, and to saw lumber. It was interesting to imagine the parts moving. But not all the pieces were there.

Later we went to the gas station across the street to fill up. The associated convenience store is actually inside the mountain (hill). So of course I had to go in and look. Sadly I forgot to bring my camera.

Then we went back to Duke's Slickrock Grill. I ordered chili and a side of cheese curds (fried mozzarella). Chris got the fish sandwich. We brought home fries and curds. We sat on our laptops for awhile. Then I made tea and took supplements.

I wrote my blog posts for yesterday and today. When I tried to highlight yesterday for copy/paste, everything went kerflufel. I 'undid' the copy, then tried to save the file. But everything went wrong. And then it was replaced with an old copy from June. Months of data lost. To-do file gone. Data about cleaning hours – gone.

After Chris and I both failed to recover it, and trying stuff that Google suggested yielded nothing, I sat down with a heavy heart to recreate both blog posts. We watched two episodes of Silent Sea – a Korean space drama dubbed in English. Then we went to bed.

Goblin Valley State Park

Tuesday

I didn't sleep all that well, having had to get up multiple times to drink and to rub magnesium on my legs. So we stayed in bed late. Then Chris took a shower and went to the front office for a bare bones breakfast. I think it was bagels and fruit. I took a shower and made my own breakfast and ate it. Was the AC on? I didn't hear it. The room had been relatively dark and quiet. We both read e-mail for awhile, trying to catch up.

Around 11, we dressed for hiking and headed to Goblin Valley State Park, where Galaxy Quest was filmed in part. We parked by the visitor's center and went in. We looked around for a handout on trails. We paid for a two-day pass. Then we headed into the park and parked again at the trailhead. We followed a trail into Goblin Valley, heading toward Goblin's Lair, up and down and all around. However, we met a couple coming back from there and they said even they didn't climb all the way up. So we rested a bit and headed back. It looked more rigorous than it felt afterward. We dumped a bunch of sand from our shoes. We climbed almost back to our beginning point. I asked a lady to take our photo for our 35th wedding anniversary. She was from Israel and we had a nice chat with her. Then we went into what looked like the land of mushrooms. We walked around and took pics, then walked back to our beginning point.

We went back to the trailhead, then drove home. When we got back to our room, I ate some eggs and fruit. I read The Silmarillion outside for awhile, then took a walk to see what was behind the building. I walked into the convenience store. I looked for an HDMI cable, but they didn't have one. I looked through the t-shirts, then I walked back.

I read outside again. Chris joined me. I was happy to have internet and hoped Dugway's internet was back on. I messaged Michelle and she said the internet was back up, but working slowly. Sigh. I looked up places to eat near Hanksville (I keep reading it as Huntsville), and there were only three. At 5:30 we walked across the street to The Outlaws Nest for dinner, but it was closed. So we walked to the Burger Shack, which was right next to the convenience store and better than it sounded. I got a turkey sandwich and he got a burger and milkshake. The milkshake was more like two cups of ice cream in one cup. I had to help him eat it before it melted over the top of the cup. And it was coffee flavored.

When we got back, we read outside until it got dark. I came in to finish a podcast on health and listen to another one on free speech. I heated water for chia seeds, and again for tea. I worked on my blog. Then we sat together on the bed. He called up Netflix and we watched Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. Then we got ready for bed. I did my usual stretches and took supplements. I shut off the light and he slept.

Wedding anniversary

Monday

Sadly, I did not sleep well. With the fridge and the AC cycling on and off and light coming in around the blinds, AND rls, sleep was only intermittent. It was after 8 when we got up. Chris showered and went down to breakfast. I made breakfast in the room and ate it while reading articles and messages. After he got back, I washed up and got dressed. I packed the suitcase and food box, then went back to processing e-mail. I wiped my screen and keyboard.. It accidentally turned on the backlights. I also watched part of the RAMA walkthrough and made notes.

We packed the car and headed out. We went to Fremont Indian State Park. We walked one of the trails and checked out a pit house. Then we went back the way we came, passed the hotel and kept going. We went through Capitol Reef, and all the way to Hanksville.

We checked in at the Whispering Sands motel. We moved our luggage into the room and set up our laptops. I couldn't get over how wrong the room was. The beds should have been against the wall with the bathroom, and the desk and fridge against the far wall. Then one could walk a straight shot to the bathroom in the dark. Also the vanity was outside the bathroom and the sink was behind the door. So if you are standing at the sink, the person coming out of the bathroom will hit you with the door.

Anyway, we read on our laptops. Then I dressed up and we went to Duke's Slickrock Cafe. My burger was good, french fries too. But I didn't trust the ketchup or mayo. He got a pasta meal. We took a selfie coming out of the restaurant.

When we got back, I could not find my nightgown. I called Holiday Inn, but it had not been turned in. I figure it was white and the bedspreads were white, so it didn't show up. Since I made it myself, I was very down about losing it. I took everything out of the suitcase to be sure.

I read Silmarillion for awhile, but the lighting wasn't good. I posted to my blog. Chris sat beside me on the bed and used an external DVD drive to watch the last episode of Criminal Minds of the season. Then we got ready for bed.

Heading to Richfield

Sunday

I slept pretty well. I had read that two 20 second sprints a day will let one sleep at night. Seems to be true. I got up just after 8:30. I drank hydrogen water and took supplements. I did chair squats and played my trombone.

The internet was still out. I got dressed and watered the plants. I changed the water in the bowls on the kitchen windowsill. I ate the last of the goat cheese. I found more things to pack, and put the cheese squares into a container. I filled some bottles with lemon water. I packed night stuff from the bathroom. I made up three days of supplements to get me through the week.

Finally I made breakfast and ate it outside. I packed the cooler, then moved the snack box, breakfast box, cooler and laptop to the car. I packed a pillow in the suitcase to hold everything in place. Chris moved it to the car, along with his duffle and laptop.

He programmed the GPS. We stopped for gas, then hit the road. He turned on the book on CD. As we listened, I may have dozed off several times. Chris stopped several times to hit the bathroom.

About 4, we arrived at the hotel, and carried stuff up to the room. I plugged into the internet. I posted to my blog for Friday, and deleted lots of e-mail. I read messages for a long time. I did two 20 second sprints, the last one timed by Chris. It seemed longer so I must have counted slowly.

We went to a local restaurant for supper. It has a bear theme. He got a reuben and I ordered the tri-tip. The meat was outstanding, but the broccoli had no seasoning. The red potatoes were just meh. He took them back to the hotel room.

I posted to my blog for Saturday. I entered VMIS hours for September, even though the lady who verifies them is on furlough. I jotted notes for today. I wrote Michelle a treatise on how to water my plants.

I made tea. We watched Gardians of the Galaxy on Hulu. Then I got ready for bed.

No one wanted to make the phone stand

Saturday

It rained all night and I felt like I was awake for most of it. Not that it kept me awake. RLS did that. I rubbed magnesium oil on my legs, but it didn't last. So we stayed in bed late.

It might have been 9 when we got up. It was still raining. Trying to make up for such dry summer? I took supplements and did chair squats and practiced my trombone. I made fiber gel. I made and ate egg salad. The internet was down (probably due to rain) so I worked on blog posts, then made more breakfast mix.

Chris gave me a massage, then he took his shower. I finished the breakfast mix, then took my shower. I ate fiber gel and started making breakfast. I paused with several ingredients to refill their containers. Usually I read e-mail or lay out in the sun, but today neither option was available. So as I ate, I read pdf's that I had downloaded.

At 2 I went to the chapel for sewing class. But no one came. So I worked on making a template for the kite. I couldn't access the website, so I used my memory. I sketched it out on the cardboard side of an old flip chart and cut it out. I wasn't certain about the triangle in the middle so I left that alone.

At 3 I took a basket of yarn and stuff that someone left at the chapel, and went to the swap shop to drop it off. I also picked up a bag of straws. I went home. Chris wanted to make rice but could not find the rice. I had taken it to the chapel in case I needed more filler for the phone stands. So I took the kite I had made on Thursday and went back to the chapel. I compared the kite to the template and saw that it was wrong. There wasn't enough cardboard left to cut out another right one.

I took the bag of rice and went home, gave it to Chris. I fished out my recorder book and practiced the C scale. Still no internet. I jotted notes for my blog. I e-mailed my progress on the kite project to Eryne. I watched a couple of videos until the buffers ran out. I read some of the comments. I went into my sewing room to commit a neatness. I ended up binding the edge of a frayed pillowcase. I also sorted some scraps.

I ate the rest of the fiber gel. The sun came out, so I sat out front and finished my book. I went back in to heat up some ground beef mixture for supper. Eventually I took the paraments that were sitting around, and went to the chapel. I left them in the front row. I turned on all the lights in the sanctuary, hallway, and fellowship hall. I started making another kite template using the kite itself as a pattern. I taped pieces of cardboard together to fill in the gaps. Casey and Cedric came, as did Michele and John.

Then Leilani came to say she and her mother were waiting for Rhythm Class. So I went to the sanctuary. We got out drumsticks and tapped our way through the usual rhythm sheet. I showed them how to do it with a recorder.

Afterwards, they left. I went back to the fellowship hall. Jenni had joined us. I finished the kite template. We all chatted. Casey set up a Nintendo simulator. I started playing Mario 2 and John joined in to show me how. Then Michelle arrived. She showed pics of what she is ordering her daughter for Halloween. Michele gave her advice. Michele and John left. I watched Michelle play Mario II. She asked me about watering my plants while I'm gone. Then they left. Jenni and I cleaned up, turned off the lights and locked the doors. We went to our respective homes. The internet STILL wasn't up. I added to my Saturday post, even though I couldn't post it.

I listened to an audio that I had downloaded. I hardboiled some small eggs, and made a batch of cheese squares. I packed clothing and toiletries in a suitcase. Then we went to bed.

Bra-shopping

Friday

I got up before 8. I took supplements, etc. I did some chair squats and played through Edelweiss on my trombone. I ate two boiled eggs and checked e-mail. I stopped at the swap shop to unlock it by request. Then I arrived at the chapel for Math Morning. I got the doors unlocked and the lights on. The Clark family came with their 4 kids. She had something for each of them to do. Especially Moira. I spent most of my time helping her with dividing fractions. And we stayed late to finish a few more problems.

Afterward we all went home. I posted for Project Night on the community Facebook pages. I ate fiber gel, then laid out in the sun. It was spotty because of the clouds. I made breakfast, then ate outside for a little more sun.

I made a grocery list, then we went to Tooele. Chris parked at Luckeys and went inside to shop. I walked to Melanie's. I shopped till Michelle got there, then paid for my items.

I got in her car, and she drove us to a small bra shop in east Salt Lake that does prefessional fittings. The sales lady was very helpful and knowledgeable. Bras were $75 and very supportive. I ended up buying 4 and putting one on a wish list. That means when they send me a coupon for my birthday, I can have it mailed to me.

We talked as Michelle drove us back to Dugway from SLC. She parked in front of my house and we talked some more. After she left, I went inside to have supper and get ready for Game Night. Jamie was mowing my yard. We spoke briefly, then she continued mowing because the day was darkening fast.

After supper, I put on my new bra and dress and necklace. I took a pic and sent it to Michelle. I worked on my blog, then picked some greens for Michelle and made a bottle of tea. I drove over to her house.

Casey had the game loaded. I played the game while Michelle brought up pics of faces with makeup and asked which look I wanted. They all looked too madeup for me, but she picked one and sent it to the lady who offered to do our makeup for the ball.

Somehow I lost progress on game from last week to this week. So I had to catch up on some stuff I had done before. I did unlock a new place, but died right after that. I wish I had saved just before I entered. There was also a puzzle that I had solved last time that I was missing a piece to this time. But I could not find it anywhere. At 11, I saved the game and shut it down. Michelle had gone to bed, so I thanked Casey and went home. Chris was still up. I finished my blog and went to bed and he came soon after.

Ladies Night In

Thursday

I got up before 7:30. I took supplements, etc. and checked e-mail. I broke down boxes for recycling. I found a stove manual online, and learned that the griddle is cast iron and needs to be seasoned.

At 9, I went to Bible study. We talked about questions that were raised last week and did not get to read more from the book of John.

I went home to check e-mail. A message from Saronna said she wanted to get in the swap shop. So I went to open it. I invited Saronna over to pick dandelion heads later. Then we both drove over to ACS to see Keli's puppies at the library.

I ate fiber gel and laid out in the sun. Then I came in to make breakfast and watch The Highwire. I also posted for Math Morning. Then I texted Eryne to ask what I was supposed to bring to her house. When I didn't hear back, I drove over there. I got her text just as I arrived, so I went home for the hole punch. I went back to her house. We made 2 sled kites according to instructions on a website. I used sticks the size of chopsticks and she used straws. I decorated my kite. We flew them, decided they looked like ghosts. We took pics of her daughter flying one. We decided who does what and went home.

I washed and wrapped the stove griddle in tin foil. I finished watching The Highwire. I got ready for Ladies Night and ate some ground beef. Since so many were going, I asked Chris for a ride. We picked up Michele and headed up to the house on the hill.

He dropped us off and we met Suna walking up. I ran the doorbell and Ria let us in. Many ladies were already there. There were drinks and I had lemonade. I talked to a bunch of people. Then we got plates and picked up food from the spread. It was lovely! Janet took pictures. Basically there were almost 20 women and we talked in groups.

I moved between the groups, keeping an eye on Michele. Then we gathered into a group for a photo. Then the colonel's wife had us go around the room and say one interesting thing about ourselves. Then we settled back into groups. She turned on music and the disco lights. I danced with that group for a bit, then sat back down with the couch group. Michele disappeared. Apparently she called John to pick her up. Finally Michelle took me home. I spoke to Chris, then worked on my blog while he went to bed.
