Better out than in

The sleep app sounded a little early. I wasn't asleep because I was scratching at new insect bites. Considering where the bites are, the little critters must be biting me at night.
I found a really long 'string' this morning. Because Chris thought a doctor should see it for identification, I put it in a zip-lock bag. I got on the internet to ID it myself, but could not find a site with labeled pictures. I had to guess and check. Still not sure.
I took a shower and got dressed for church. I skipped eating because I did not want to feed the unwelcome visitors. I took a stack of grocery bags and foam recyclables and headed to church. Usually I like to watch the readout of miles left to go on the present tank of gas. But yesterday it got covered up with the message to change the oil, and it won't go away.
When I got to church, someone handed me a bulletin and I sat by Don. I chatted with those around until the service started. Susan did the announcements and Pastor Feig lead the service. After the service, which was short because he talks so fast and some of the liturgy has been left out recently, he led a discussion of the differences between the generations (Silent generation, baby boomers, gen x, millenials, and ?). We discussed them as pertaining to work, institutions, family, and church. He called it quits at noon and said we'd do it again on another Sunday, TBA. A lady told me her boyfriend had big totes of quilting fabric he'd inherited and needed to get rid of. I told her I could help with that.
I left the church and went to Publix. I dropped off the plastic bags and foam trays. I did not get the usual amount of food, but I did have fun looking around in sections that we never look at. I paid, and a nice man carried my groceries out. I drove back to base, and brought the food in. I changed my clothes and put the food away. I sat down at my laptop and Ron called. Never mind that he had just seen me in church. He wanted to know the time of the next stewardship meeting, but went on from there.
After the call, I did more research on parasites and ways of getting rid of them. I saw in e-mail a message that our Netflix account had been accessed in Florida. I called Chris on Skype and he allowed that he was watching shows on Netflix. Why did they think it was Florida?
I went back to clearing e-mail. Faye called, but it was a butt-dial. Still, I got her attention and we chatted a bit. I told her about the 'string' and she thought I ought to tell someone. I said I had a doctor appt on Tuesday. After the call, I ate some pumpkin seeds, and mixed papaya seed powder with honey. It wasn't as bad as I feared. During the day I also took mimosa pudica, lemon water, and charcoal.
Stacey indicated at church that she was thinking of picking berries. So I called and left a message. When she texted back, we made a plan. I put on long pants and got a berry basket. I met her outside. She had tea-length pants and a basket. I told her about the string. She thought a doctor would rather have a picture than the real thing. We walked to the back of the neighborhood. We picked berries, avoiding the stickers as best we could. I still got scratched up.
When we got back, she went home. I got out the mower and did the back lawn. I worked up a sweat, more from the heat than exertion. I drank a large container of coconut water, and read e-mail.
At 8, I watched one episode each of Dark Matter and Frazier. I made tea with ginger and garlic slices. I put garlic slices in my sock. Something about having garlic on the bottom of the foot is supposed to help. I worked on my blog post for today. More unwanted visitors left. I donated to Kevin's birthday charity. I finalized my blog post and had one more thing to do online before I could go to bed.
Last week I slept in Chris' spot. The week before, I slept in my spot. This week I will sleep across the bottom of the bed. Then I can take that sheet off and there will be a clean one underneath. It won't be possible to run the sleep app from there, so no more sleep data for a week.
* I came across this on the internet and thought it was interesting. It was part of a larger pdf and I could not separate it out, so I just took a pic of the screen. *

Pool time

Something happened last night. If you are squeamish, you should skip to the next paragraph. I passed a parasite. Yes. Either that, or I must have swallowed a 5 inch piece of string. It was both exciting and disgusting. As I laid in bed later, I tapped to calm down so I could sleep.
The sleep app woke me before 7:30. I was tired so I stayed in bed and did not get up until 9. I did the usual morning things. And I washed the windows in the back screen door. The glass had sticky pieces stuck to it. I can't imagine what it was, but I finally got rid of it.
I started reading e-mail and looking at windows on my browser that were open from yesterday. Jennifer invited me over for a swim. Then I remembered that today is laundry day. So I told her I would be over later. I collected the laundry and towels and such and got the first load started. I went back to reading articles and such. I made breakfast.
All of a sudden I realized it was after 1:30. I got myself together. I put away the first load and pulled the second load from the dryer and hung up the dresses. I threw a bathing suit in a bag and headed out.
When I got to Jennifer's house, she was in the pool, but came out to greet me. Her daughter was away and the dog was inside the house. She did not want to disturb the dog, so I changed into my suit in the back yard. Then we got in her pool and had a good chat. I swam around and she skimmed little bits from the water. Eventually her daughter came home with friends. They let the dog out and he was so excited and barked furiously. We had to throw a dog toy for him. The sky clouded over and it looked like rain. Then she had to get ready for a party. I got out and dried off as best I could. The suit was too tight to peel off wet, so I just threw my clothes on over it. She gave me some plants, the $20 I lent her, and a small portion of potato salad. I thanked her and left before the rain hit.
On the way home, I stopped at Rite-Aid to buy a pair of reading glasses. Mine had broken last night. I paid more than at a dollar store, but it was convenient and involved no left turns. When I got back on post, it was raining. I made a left turn into the gas station to fill my tank. I am not sure how many miles I had left because the only readout I could get was “Change oil soon.” I had changed it only 4000 miles ago.
William called. We talked until Karen called him. I ate the potato salad. I texted my neighbor to ask when was a good time to bring something over. I put on an interview and played Solitaire while I waited for an answer. I started making salad for supper. Chris called me on Skype. It was early for him. He said he had been sick all day. Some one had come to work sick and now Chris had it. I told him about the parasite and he asked if I saved it. No, I did not. He thought I should have saved it to have it identified. We did not talk long and he went back to bed. I finished making salad and ate.
My neighbor texted that she needed 10 minutes. So I set the timer and went back to my laptop. When the timer rang, I took a jar of blackberries from the fridge and went next door. We had a nice chat. I mentioned the wasps on our back porch because she had seen them flying around. Her husband came home from walking the dog. She volunteered him to spray. So I showed him where the nests were and he sprayed them with foam. We both went back to his house. He went off to study and I stayed to talk to Julia some more. A lot more. I was surprised late to see that it was after 10. So we hugged and said goodbye.
When I got back to my house, I checked e-mail, took some mimosa pudica, and wrote my blog post for the day.

Anything for sleep

I got up a little before the alarm went off. I brushed and swished. I took supplements and listened to podcasts. I investigated acupuncture mats for sleep and air filter masks.
I ate breakfast. I wrote a check and put it in the mail. I researched the Wholetones Sleep thing and their return policy. Then I ordered one. I looked at air purifiers. I signed us up for the new recycling program which will be one pick-up a month instead of every week. I am not thrilled about that, but perhaps the new company will be more reliable.
I did a tapping meditation. I ate a banana and square of chocolate for lunch, followed by some blackberries. Then I put on long pants and walked to the back of the neighborhood to pick more berries. I only stopped when the basket got full. I got a little rained on walking home. I changed my clothes and went to the post office. There was a Swanson's package for me. When I got back, I watered the plants because they dry out so quickly.
A doctor had left me a message on my phone. I called him back. I wanted to know what kind of tests and treatments he does. It turns out to be a little woo-woo like the doctor I am seeing now, but faster and a lot less expensive.
I re-supplied my pill minder for a week. I called Housing to report a wasp nest on the back porch. They said someone might come by next week. Later I found another nest out front. I listened to audios. I washed some lettuce from the market and left it to soak in the sink. I looked at choices on Amazon for bone broth powder. But nothing seemed right.
I put on a DVD called Wonder Woman, from Netflix. It was soon obvious to me that I had seen it before. So I am not sure why it was in our queue. Then Chris called me on skype. I ate lettuce while we talked. But he was tired and wanted to go to bed. I left Wonder Woman on pause and watched an episode of Dark Matter and one of Frazier. Then I took evening supplements and posted to my blog.

ML Fairness

I woke up before 7:30. The sleep app showed that I had woken up several times during the night, but it gave me a score of 92%. I started my usual morning routine. I treated myself for sensitivities to tomatoes.
Through e-mail, I read about ML fairness. ML stands for machine learning. This means Google is training their software to identify sites that are right-wing or don't conform to what they think is fair due to their socio-political agenda. Never mind that they have signed deals with pharmaceutical companies. Then the targeted sites get demoted in search results or removed completely. Also, auto-complete uses terms Google staff think that people OUGHT to be searching for, not what other people actually HAVE searched for. I posted an article about it on my Facebook page. Then I found a search engine called GIBIRU that does not alter search results or record search terms.
I made and ate breakfast and listened to interviews. I got dressed and packed for quilting and swimming. I searched around the house for my keys. Over and over again. I tried to retrace my steps from yesterday and found the keys and mail on the chair on the front porch. I had laid them there while I watered the plants yesterday. I put my machine in the car and went to quilting.
The turn out was small, or lots of ladies had left. After some conversation, I set up my machine and started sewing orange blocks. When I ran out, I cut some more rectangles from the orange fabric. I also sewed a seam on another project. Most of the ladies packed up and left. I helped Pat close up and I left, too.
I drove to Jennifer's house. Although it had been sunny and hot all morning, the clouds rolled in and I felt some rain drops when I got there. Her daughter and friends had just left the pool to go shopping. I put my bathing suit on and we got in her pool. She walked back and forth, scooping blossoms and leaves from the pool. I swam around, having a great time. We conversed easily.
Later I got out to use the bathroom. She got out too, so I also dried off and changed back into my clothes. We chatted as she fixed supper and showed me packages of healthy things she had bought. We ate pork meatballs, rice noodles, and zuchini and squash. For dessert, she make chocolate pudding from avocados, cacao powder, banana and coconut milk. We chatted a little longer and then I realized how late it was. I thanked her and ran to my car.
I got home a little after 7. I ran to the bathroom, and then got on Skype. My tapping buddy had already messaged me. I messaged her back and she called. We talked about her week and then about mine. It was over an hour later when we finally got around to tapping. We tapped for two hours but we really dealt with the issue. We both felt better.
After the call, I messaged Chris. He called me and we chatted face to face. We reviewed our Netflix queue and found the selections inexplicable. Jennifer's husband likes to buy coffee beans from foreign countries so I asked Chris if he knew someone in Honduras with a coffee farm. We were both tired, so we ended the call. I took some evening supplements. I got dressed for bed and swished as I wrote my blog post.

No clinic today

I woke up before the alarm, due to the sleep app. I was itchy. I found a rash on my rib cage. And the bites on my feet and ankles, behind my knee and upper thigh did not help.
I got up to start coffee morning. I took out the trash. I washed dishes. I made coffee. I drybrushed. Bristles came out of my brush, so when I finished, I glued it and left it to dry. I forgot to do the exercises. I put on meditation music. I tapped and meditated. I started cleaning. Dr. Lee called to say he was at the dealership having his car worked on, and that I did not need to come today. Too bad, because I was going to show Dr. Grace the rash. I rubbed activated charcoal on it and the bug bites.
William called. He wanted to buy a laser like the one his chiropractor has, but it costs too much. I took down the shower liner and put it outside in the sun to kill mildew. I took a shower with just the curtain and it seemed to work fine. I got dressed. I watched an episode of TQS while eating coconut. Then I listened to interviews while making decisions for the orange quilt and completing the first cuts. I made a 10” block and two 5” blocks. I got enough 'bricks' cut to make at least 20 more.
I spent some time clearing e-mail. I moved the shower curtain because the heat under it was killing the grass. I checked the mail, but there was only junk. I watered the flowers. I soaked some seeds for a new batch of sprouts.
I called Dad. He told me a meeting had been announced to discuss his case, but he did not know who or where or when. I called Faye. She didn't know either. He also said a lady at church read him the riot act over not having an emergency button around his neck. He decided it was a good idea but did not know where to get one. After talking to Faye, I made a salad and ate it. I chewed up a bunch of ginger slices. I put the rubble into an old tea bag and stuck it behind my ear, hoping to heal the itch.
I watched two episodes of Dark Matter. They seem to get more violent as the show goes on. Chris interrupted the second one. He told me some conference had been rescheduled and is now taking place during beach week. Sigh. Hopefully it will change again. He hasn't told his mother yet. I also found out that he has taken up running again.
I hung up with him and finished the episode. I took some supplements to help me sleep and posted to my blog.

Soaking my head...of lettuce

I slept well until 5:30. I was woken up by the loud ringing in my ears, but not sure what caused it. I stayed in bed until 7:30. The sleep app gave me a score of 100.
I put the recycling out and saw boxes in our neighbor's recycling container. So I went inside and found some boxes that I could flatten and put out. A big one in the garage I took to the bedroom and used to cover the window at night. I removed the smaller boxes that just weren't covering enough.
After the usual morning routine, I took my orange strips and went to quilting. I sat and talked to the ladies for awhile. Then I asked Jane for advice on the strips. She advocated finding a point and pinning through all the layers. But some of my strips are wider than the others, which shouldn't be possible.
Then I had to leave so I could be at the doctor's office by 11. I read a book for a few minutes until she called me back. She tested me with different vials from before and was satisfied with the results. So she pulled out the tetracycline vial and tested. I felt like I was stronger with that than the others, but she decided I needed treatment for it. I silently concluded that it just didn't matter, because next week is the 3 month test and unless the results are fantastic, I will end this.
When I got home, I made and ate breakfast. I listened to the latest episode of one of the summits. Jennifer texted about meeting me at the church to return a $20 bill. I put some blackberries in a container for her. I ironed all the orange strips. Then I went to church.
The secretary was still there so we talked briefly. I mentioned that the global rocket launch is scheduled for the same night as the guild meeting which she and I both attend. She said she was going to choose the rocket launch.
After she left, I entered the numbers into the financial program and printed the reports. I got texts from Jennifer who decided not to come to church this afternoon. She invited me to come to her house Thursday afternoon for a swim instead. It made me a little distracted and I printed the reports incorrectly. I left the berries in the church kitchen.
When I was finished, I went to the farmer's market. There was a long line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot. I finally found a spot and parked. I ran into Susan and then Cecelia, walking in the main aisle. Cecelia was there to buy blueberries. I bought eggs, also the most beautiful head of lettuce I ever saw, peaches, tomatoes, cantaloupe. Then I had to wait in line again to get out of the lot, and then to make a right turn (behind the people waiting to make a left turn).
I went to the bank to make the church deposit. Then I went home for lunch (but it was suppertime). I ate a peach and salad. I put the lettuce in water. I listened to another interviews. I changed my clothes and mowed the lawn. I jotted notes for my blog.
At 8, I started watching Dark Matter. Chris called me on Skype and we talked for a bit. Then I finished the episode. It ended on a cliffhanger note, so I watched the next one as well. Then I followed it with one of Frazier. I wrote up my blog post for the day, and may have done a few other things before going to bed.

Try as I might

I got up early, feeling like I hadn't slept much. It was cooler because I lowered the AC, but I kept hearing strange sounds all night which made me feel hypervigilant.
I had the usual morning routine with supplements and such. I printed a supplement check-off sheet. I treated myself for sensitivities to fresh basil, which I picked from a pot by the front door. A teenage boy knocked on the door. He was carrying a small, quiet dog and asked if it belonged to me. I said no, and that it did not belong to the neighbors on either side of me, either.
When I had worked through the pre-breakfast supplements, I made breakfast. I ate it while watching something from the Autoimmune Summit.
After breakfast, I got dressed and picked up the orange fabric and triangle ruler. I put them in with my machine and carried it to the car. I drove to quilting.
The ladies were finishing up lunch. I found a place by Lauri. I took out the orange fabric and pressed it. Then I chose a motif on the fold that was easy to spot. I cut across the fabric at each point it appeared. My intention was to make a stack-n-whack. But I spent the next several hours trying to line up the pieces. No matter how much I pinned and pressed, the pieces just did not match. By three, I realized I needed a plan B. I bid the ladies fare well and went home.
On the way, I stopped at the post office. Our box was empty. I checked mail when I got home, and there was nothing there, either. I ate lunch, which consisted of seed crackers, nut cheese, and nuts.
I called Cecelia. She had called earlier when I was at quilting. We had a nice chat. She has a quilt she wants me to look at. I told her to bring it Sunday.
I collated the recyclables, looking for a berry basket. I found one, but it did not have a handle, so I poured the berries into it and used the one from the fridge. I put on jeans and some peppermint oil. Then I went to pick blackberries. There were a lot ripe today. I brought them home and put them in the fridge. I ate a piece of sweet potato, and some berries from last week. I called Dad and talked to him for over an hour. We both had trouble understanding the other. I convinced him to eat and made him promise before I hung up.
I watched one episode of Dark Matter and one of Frazier. Chris called for a short time, then hung up so he could apply for jobs and go to bed. I finished watching, then put on some classical music while I wrote my blog post.

I am now a voting member

Last night I plunged my face into a bowl of ice water. That was supposed to activate the mammalian diving reflex and slow heartrate. I thought it might help me sleep. However, I could not hold it for the specified 30 seconds. It was just too cold.
I woke up early. I got up and took a shower. I washed my hair with baking soda and rinsed it with vinegar. It did not feel appreciably different. I put ozone cream on the bug bites on my ankles. I pulled dresses from my closet until I found one that didn't smell funny. I walked around in my slip until my hair dried. The dress had a hole in the back so I had to repair it before I wore it. I checked e-mail and took supplements. I also treated myself for sensitivities to water.
I went to church. Don and Tamara were already sitting in my pew. He moved over and let me sit on the end. I interacted with each of them and the people sitting behind. When the service started, Susan gave the announcements. It was new member Sunday. The interim pastor said it was an odd text, but he likes a challenge. The scripture was about Jesus casting out demons which then fled into swine and jumped over a cliff. It scared all the locals so much that they asked Jesus to leave. Pastor said we should go to unclean lands and show God's love to unclean people.
After the sermon, the new members went up with their sponsors. Jennifer was mine. The special readings were short, then the sponsors introduced the new members to the congregation. Jennifer told everyone about the wallhangings and kneelers that I had sewn.
After the service, I stayed in my pew, eyeing the altar to see if anyone picked up the offering to carry it to the safe. Susan asked me to go to the fellowship hall for a picture with the other new members. So I did. The refreshment table had desserts on it. There was a huge cookie with a picture of the church on it. After our pics were taken, we talked. Several people said they did not realize that I wasn't a member. One lady asked me to make her a t-shirt quilt. Jeannie was there and I told her how good her fish looked on the banner. Tim was there, with a puffy bee sting on his right eye.
I went to Publix on the way home. I had the list with me, but it was short. I picked up coconut milk and coconut water. I also bought some greens. But, even though I was there earlier than usual, they were out of pea sprouts.
When I got home, I washed the cans and put the groceries away. I made and ate breakfast while listening to interviews. I looked up Lucy Corr assisted living.
I searched through my stacks of orange fabric to find the one I bought in Korea to stack-n-whack. I laid it out and took a pic of it. I put the pic into my kaleidoscope program to play around with different sizes of triangles. I settled on 30 degrees and 5.5 inches tall. The repeat is 11.75. Odd, huh? Then I went through all my rulers to find one with a 30 degree angle. I found one with 60 degree angles that I can cut in half.
I went for a walk. I found more blackberries. It is amazing how they seem to appear in new places. When I got back, I watched short videos on sprouting flax and chia seeds. During one, Chris skyped me. Neither of us had much to say. After the call, I made a salad. I put on Dark Matter. I watched two episodes. Then I watched an episode of Frasier to put happier images in my head. I spread some chia seed on a wet paper towel. I typed up my blog post for the day so I could get ready for bed. In the interest of better sleep, I turned the AC down from 80 to 74. I took the last of the supplements. I did my lower back exercises and went to bed.

The dog incident

I woke up early, used the bathroom and went back to bed. The alarm rang at 7:30, but it was after 8 till I got up, combed my hair and brushed my teeth.
I washed the dishes in the sink during the intervals between supplements. I treated myself for sensitivities to molasses. Then I made and ate breakfast. I also refilled the cacao nibs and made more spice mix. I went through e-mail and listened to interviews.
I called Michele, just to talk. She was at Marie's, collecting a load of stuff to take to her apartment. Then I called Dad. He seemed as slow to converse as ever. I talked to Patrick, too. Then I looked at the website for Morningside. It said they handle short term assisted living stays if a care giver needs to go on vacation. But when I called, the weekend receptionist said she didn't think they had any short term spots open.
I went out to get the mail. A miniature doberman was barking at me. Every time I faced him, he backed off, but when I turned toward the mailboxes, he tried to get behind me. I felt threatened and told him to go home. Our duplex mate came over and said the dog was hungry. He went around the back of the house next door and saw the hole that the little dog dug to get outside of the fence. He told me there was a bigger dog out there with no food or water. He thought the little dog was barking for help for the bigger dog. No one was home. He called Housing. There was nothing I could do, but go inside and say a prayer.
I did some laundry. I opened a coconut with a hammer, drank the juice and ate some of the meat. Then I went for a walk, a 50 minute one uphill. I found a blackberry bush that I had never seen before and I ate a few berries.
When I got back, I took the lunch and supper supplements and made a salad with all the fixings (since I was really low on lettuce). I got my unread e-mail to below 40. I texted my neighbor and she said the dog had been returned to the backyard and that someone came over once a day to feed and water them.
I watched two episodes of Dark Matter. Chris interrupted the first one when he called. But he was tired after spending the day with Herberth and just wanted to go to bed. I finished the second episode while folding laundry and looked up some of the cameo players. Then I puzzled over the events of the day to put them in coherent order so I could post and go to bed. I went to brush my teeth and when I came back, the back door was open. Eerie. Did I mention making several trays of ice? Maybe soaking my head in ice water will help me sleep.

Patching the old with new

I woke up at 6:30. It was daylight, but I wasn't ready to get up. I slept until my alarm went off, and stayed in bed a little longer. Then I started the supplement line-up. I brushed and swished. I turned on the router and put on interviews. I laid out the doctor's supplements for a week. Then I laid out mine for two weeks. I found four doses from two months ago. I tried to identify which ones they were. I was moderately successful except for one with red powder in it. I must have run out of that one because I have nothing to match it. Oh well, I needed the bottles for current doses.
I treated myself for sensitivities to weeds (it was one of the vials). I made breakfast and ate it while reading e-mail. I put on a swimsuit and mowed lawn in the other direction.
Then I washed up and got dressed. I saw a man tear down part of the fence between us and our duplex neighbor. He started to rebuild it. I listened to a presentation on mindful movement and tried lying on the floor and twisting. But there just wasn't enough space.
I put on vitamin patches and went to the post office. There was one piece of mail and it was junk. That surprised me because I was expecting a package from Amazon. From there, I went to the massage place. I was a little early. Gabriele was changing the sheets on the massage bed. We talked about all the usual things going wrong with the world. She told me that one of the ladies at Ruth's Nutrition used to work for Dr. Jarvis, my naturopath.
Because we talked so long, the massage got started 45 minutes late. We kept talking as she completed the massage. Then I got dressed and paid her. I talked to the lady who used to work for Dr. Jarvis. She said it was not my imagination that the doctor stretched out the treatments.
I stopped at an Asian store and bought coconuts and a persimmon. I went home. I took a basket and walked to the back of the neighborhood to pick blackberries. There are way more berry bushes than I found last year. I brought the basket home and put it in the fridge. I checked the house mail and found the package I was expecting to find at the post office.
I ate the last of the fish. I made a salad and ate it while playing Solitaire. At 8, I started watching Dark Matter. I paused it when Chris skyped. We talked shortly. Then he had to go. I finished the episode and watched one of Frasier. Then I looked up each of the Dark Matter characters to see where I might have seen them before.
I posted to my blog and took my evening supplements. After a few yoga stretches, I will go to bed.

No wifi - woo-hoo!

I was well on my way to a good night's sleep when a thunder storm hit. The thunder wasn't bad, but the wind was blowing rain into my bedroom windows. I had to get up and close them. It took me awhile to get back to sleep and then my alarm woke me at 7:30. I was way too tired to get up so I slept until almost 9.
Parasite week was over, so I went back to the usual supplement schedule. I did the usual soaking of sprouts and boiling water for nuts, and an allergy clearing for trees. I took a shower.
The CAT 5e cord was attached to my laptop from last night when Chris insisted it would fit the slot, and after much fiddling, it did. I turned on the router. I printed some blank offering sheets. Then I logged into the router and turned off the wi-fi signal. I also made sure my laptop wifi signal was off. I hoped that the reduced wi-fi exposure would result in better health.
I mixed colostrum powder with MCT oil. I mixed ginger tea with bone broth powder and vitamin C powder. After that, I prepared breakfast. I took my breakfast supplements.
After breakfast, I put my machine in the car and went quilting. My back was hurting from all the cleaning I did yesterday so I decided not to take my machine in unless and until I needed it. I ended up talking to the other ladies for 2 hours.
When I got home, I ate lunch, which was fish and seed crackers. I listened to more of a long episode on court cases involving stem cell therapies. Then I mowed most of the back yard. The battery ran down, so I plugged it in to recharge. I checked the house mail and found nothing worth keeping. Then I listened to another interview, this one about Viome results.
About 5:30 I felt tired, so I decided to lay down for a short nap. It took me awhile to fall asleep, but then I slept until 7. I heard the skype sound that indicated that my tapping buddy was online.
We talked and tapped for almost 2 hours. I was still groggy from sleep so it took me a bit to get my head straight. When our call was over, I ate sweet potato and took supper supplements. Then I listened to a tapping interview. As it was wrapping up, Chris skyped me. We talked for a short time. I asked him where we did laundry before we moved into this house and he told me where, but it was only for residents of that building. He said there should be a laundromat in the shopping center where the Korean clinic is.
I watched one episode of Dark Matter and one of Frasier. Then I wrote my blog post so I could go to bed.

Gung-ho on cleaning

My sleep app woke me a little after 7. It gave my sleep a score of 58. That seemed a little low for a full night of sleep. I got up soon after the alarm went off at 7:30.
As it was Wednesday, I prepare for a coffee morning. I took the first enzyme, but after that, took charcoal and mimosa pudica and papaya seed. I went out to water the flowers. I was swishing at the time. My neighbors were in their driveway. He came over to ask if 1pm was a good time for him to trim our yard. I had to spit before I could answer and say yes. I put on some Mozart and did my exercises, as well as tapping and meditation.
I started cleaning in the kitchen, like washing dishes. I could not find the spray bottle. I checked all three locations three or four times before I found it under a wash cloth. The guy next door came over to say he was going to be late, and I said it was totally fine.
There was a missed call on my phone from Dr. Lee. I tried to listen to the message but my phone kept hanging up on me. I had to reboot it. Then I got the message that he did not want me to come today. Woo-hoo! More cleaning for me!
So, I cleaned off the table in the kitchen, throwing stuff out and recycling other things. That was no small feat. I cleaned under the table as well. I washed all the bathroom rugs. I mopped the kitchen floor. I mopped the floor in the entry way. When it was dry, I put some dining room chairs there, and mopped in the dining room. My mop was falling apart like I have never seen before. I wrote 'mop' on the shopping list.
I sprinkled baking soda on the carpet in the bedroom. The neighbor came over and trimmed our yard with his battery-operated trimmer. I vacuumed the bathroom floors and put the rugs back. I noticed the comforter did not smell fresh, so I laid it on the grass in the back yard. I went to the post office to check the mail, but there was none, not even junk mail. I checked the mail at home and found two pieces, for Chris.
William called so I paused the interview that was playing so I could talk to him. But eventually I had to wind up the call so I could go back to cleaning. My caffeine rush was over. I swept up the baking soda in the bedroom. I laid down for awhile because my back was so tired. Then I went for a walk. I just happened to pass some blackberry bushes, and if a few fell in my mouth, who was I to spit them out? I hadn't seen these before. It's like they just appear.
When I got back, I sat at my laptop to eat some fish and brussel sprouts. I listened to an interview while playing Solitaire. I wanted to watch a program but was expecting Chris to call at any time. I called Dad and he was doing ok, I guess. Then I watched two episodes of Dark Matter on the TV.
I made ginger tea. As I sat down to write my blog post, I saw that Chris had just e-mailed 2 minutes ago. So I messaged back and he skyped me. We talked a little, but he had stuff he still had to do in the next half hour. He said his replacement was chosen, been notified, and accepted. I told him I had ordered an ethernet adapter and he said I had an ethernet port. It was the slot that the cord would not fit in on Monday but somehow it did tonight. Sigh.
I brought in the comforter since it is likely to rain tonight. But it was already damp, probably with dew. Then I swished while I finished my blog post, did a few back exercises, took a few last supplements, and went to bed.

Lots to do

A noise growing louder woke me up. When it seemed like it was going to burst into my room, I realized it was a large mower. But why so early, and when the grass was wet?
I started the supplements. I brushed and swished, the usual. I collated the recycling including glass. Then I heard the truck outside. I threw on the nearest top and shorts I could find. I grabbed the recycling but just missed the truck. It wasn't worth running barefoot in the rain to try to catch it.
I washed up and got dressed. I drove to Tuesday quilting. Four ladies were sewing aprons. I helped by turning straps and pressing and pinning pockets. Then I was out of time. I headed out to see the doctor.
I tapped in the waiting room, hoping to pass all the muscle testing for allergies. She came out and invited me back. I asked what was causing the itching above my right ear. She muscle tested herself and came up with 'flowers'. I said the itching had started in Huntsville, but continued in Korea, even though we didn't bring any plants with us. She said it was just something botanical in the air.
I passed a bunch of tests, but failed the one for feathers. She treated me three times, leaving me alone twice in between. I did more tapping then. My phone rang but I did not get up to answer it. After the third treatment, I put my shoes and socks back on, and went to the front desk to pay. Then I went home.
William had called, so I called William back. While he talked, I made breakfast, and ate it . After he hung up, I listened to a presentation from Anat on mindful moving. It is supposed to remap the brain. There were other interviews as well. I took the breakfast supplements, and put the recycling in my car.
On the way to church, I stopped by the recycling center. I dropped off the paper, metal, plastic and glass. Then I continued to church. Jennifer was there waiting for me. She is going to be my sponsor on Sunday. She had a 'new member' folder for me. She asked me questions so she could prepare a small speech to introduce me to the congregation. It seemed she is going to say more about the things I have done for the church than my background. It made me a little uncomfortable.
When we were done, she had to leave. I went to the church office to start data entry. She came back to ask if she could borrow some money for the farmer's market. I gave her a $20. After she left, I entered the data from the sheet Lars made, and looked for the Vanco info.
Elaine came looking for me. I left the office and she and I went to the garden room to do some clearing. I showed her the vials I had and she picked one. I did the clearing on her like Chris did on me. We also tapped the points like in the video. I told her to take two vials and do her own clearings till we could meet again.
As we were finishing up, Tamara stopped by. She was feeling chatty and wanted to use the copy machine as a scanner at the same time I was printing reports. It did not take her long. But it was long enough.
It was after 4. I was afraid time was a little too short to go to the farmer's market. At this time of day I would probably have to wait in line to get in, and again to get out. So I skipped it. I went to the bank, made the deposit and drove home.
I listened to an interview while I ate most of the remaining coconut pieces. Then I had the last piece of chicken. I grabbed the dog bed and the mug rug. I went to the meeting of the modern quilt guild. It went long. I showed off the dog bed and my scrap challenge. I took lots of pics. Someone brought me two bags of scraps for stuffing dog beds. After the meeting, I was feeling a little dizzy. I walked out and went home.
I finished the interview from earlier. Chris called on Skype. We chatted briefly. Then I watched two episodes of Frazier and one of Dark Matter. I took my evening supplements and posted to my blog. I cropped most of the pics I took today so I could choose one.

A Chatty day

I got to bed after midnight, but slept pretty well. I ran my sleep app but it must not have heard me. My alarm went off at 7:30. Then when I called up the app, it basically said I had no activity all night. No sleep cycles. Sigh. Maybe having the ceiling fan on caused a problem? But the app should have woken me before the alarm.
I got up and followed the usual protocols. When I worked my way up to accessing the internet, I decided to check out the 'Hidden Network' that keeps showing up on my wi-fi list. Some people think it is a way Comcast and Verizon piggyback public wi-fi off of customer routers. But the only service provider in this neighborhood is WOW. I turned off my router and the signal was still there. But my phone did not register it, only the laptop.
The tension rod in the fabric room fell down and exposed my collection to daylight. I carried a chair into the room and stood on it to put the curtain back in place. Then I put the chair back at the front door, where it partially stops morning sunlight from fading everything in the living room.
I found the 50 ft CAT5 cable that Chris said we already had. BUT, there was no ethernet port on my laptop! Sigh. I went online and found that there are USB adaptors. Some of them need special drivers which come on a CD, which my laptop cannot play because it doesn't have a CD player. I ordered one from Amazon and prayed that it would be the right thing.
I made and ate breakfast. I washed up and got dressed. I carried my sewing machine to the car and went to quilting. The ladies had finished lunch. There was an empty place for me to set up my machine. I had a good time chatting with the ladies while I worked on the blue apron. Sheryl came in as I finished. She had pants to hem. She borrowed a spool of light beige thread. So I sewed some squares from another project for awhile. Then I packed up and waited for her to finish. She wound another bobbin off of my spool and gave it back to me. I bid her and Lauri a good week, and headed back to base.
I stopped by the post office on the way home. There were no keepers in our box. When I got home, I had chicken and nuts for lunch. Then I put on heavy pants and put a pair of plastic gloves in a berry basket and headed out. I watered my plants. I got the house mail. There was a piece for our duplex neighbor.
When I saw my neighbor across the street come over, I greeted her. We went for a walk to the back of the neighborhood. We chatted and picked berries together. The plastic food service gloves worked ok. Then we walked back, and not the quickest way, either. She and her husband had plans for dinner so she went home and would not take any berries with her. I took a piece of mail over to my next door neighbor. She invited me in for a chat, even though she was cleaning in anticipation of company. We had a nice, long chat and she thought spending a night in a cave sounded exciting.
When I got home, I made salad for supper. I also ate some pieces of coconut. I watched two episodes of Frazier. Then Chris called on skype. He did not talk long because he still had a lot of work to do through his laptop. After the call, I watched two episodes of Dark Matter. I swished and took supplements, both regular and those designed to annoy parasites. Then I posted to my blog and went to bed.

Gone again

I had trouble falling asleep last night. I tapped for the painfully sad moment I expected to have saying goodbye to Chris at the airport. Chris got up before 4. At 4, he 'woke me up' to say he was taking a shower. I got up and got dressed. I took a Purozyme. He drove us to the airport. I hugged him goodbye and felt quite ok about it. Rolling his suitcase, he walked into the terminal. I drove home. Fortunately dawn was starting so it wasn't so dark for the drive.
When I got home, I took mimosa pudica and went back to bed. I had trouble falling back asleep. I heard my alarm go off at 7:30, pulling me out of a dream. I dozed off again and got up at 8. I took a shower. I texted with Chris and Jennifer. I quickly got dressed and headed to church.
I was later than I intended, but in time to greet Don before the service. Tamara and her son came in a little late and sat with me. The interim pastor is very … chop chop. The service was over in 45 minutes. After the service, I stood around talking to people. I asked Stacey if she would like to spend a night in a cave and she was somewhat interested. She complimented the banner I made.
When I got home from church, I made breakfast and read e-mail. I checked into hardwiring my laptop to the router, but the cord was only 5 feet long and I didn't want to sit within 5 feet of the router, even with the wi-fi signal turned off.
I looked online for special gloves and pants for picking blackberries. Goatskin and canvas seemed to be the preferred materials.
I was tired so I took a nap. I am not sure how long it lasted, but I was groggy for some time afterward. I listened to an interview on 5G. I dusted in the computer area. I ate the last of the grapes and blackberries as lunch.
I took a walk around the neighborhood. I did not spy any new blackberry bushes. When I got back, I ate some chicken. I listened to a short audio, then made salad. While eating, I called Dad to wish him a Happy Father's Day. I could not follow what he said. So in a way, his confusion rubbed off on me.
I started watching an episode of Frasier. I paused it when Chris called on Skype from Soto Cano. After our call, I resumed the episode and watched a second one. Then, because it sounded interesting, I watched the Netflix movie called I Am Mother. It was very thought-provoking. Afterward, I read reviews to answer the questions I was left with. Then I took my evening supplements and posted to my blog so I could go to bed.

Oh sheets!

I got up at 7:10. I started the supplement line-up. Chris gave me a massage with coconut oil and then I took a shower. I listened to an interview while I took supplements at timed intervals. I had to pause it periodically so Chris could have his say.
Around 11, I made breakfast. I listened to another interview while Chris did laundry. For sun exposure, I went out in the back yard to sweep the back porch and rake the grass clippings. While I was out there, Chris got the bedroom windows open. It will be good to have fresh air in the bedroom.
I went out front to water the plants. Then we went to Publix for groceries for me. I finally remember to take a ton of plastic bags along for recycling. When we got back, Cecily and Al called. Cecily asked Chris to e-mail her every other day so she would know he was ok.
I read e-mail as it came in. I stuffed a dog pillow. Chris packed a large suitcase. When the sheets came out of the dryer, we put 4 fitted sheets on the bed. That will have to last me 12 weeks while he is gone.
Chris cooked fish, a bunch of sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. I may not have to cook again until he gets back! He moved the coffee table and I swept the rug under it. Then he lifted the rug so I could sweep the floor under that. I finished the dog pillow and then we ate supper.
We went for a walk around the circle and discussed the political situation in Honduras. When we got back, I called Dad but he did not answer. I left a message. I made up a new batch of superfood powder mix and wrote a list of the ones I need to re-order.
We watched two episodes of Star Trek. I had Chris treat me for any sensitivities to Brain Octane Oil. He went to bed and I stayed up to blog and take supplements.

Adding to the line-up

I got up about 7. I combed my hair and put it up. While going through the supplement line-up, I created a new version of the sheet that helps me keep track. I added mimosa pudica to the morning line-up, and printed the new sheet. I treated myself for allergies to grasses. While listening to an audio, I made a batch of seed crackers. I had an almost empty salt shaker that grinds large salt crystals. I could not figure out how to get the lid off so I could put more crystals in. So I lit a wooden chopstick on the gas stove and punched a hole in the bottom. It was a lot more difficult than I expected. I had to re-light it about a dozen times.
I deleted some e-mail and worked on yesterday's blog. I could not remember very much. I opened a dried coconut that I had bought last week. It wasn't very fresh. I drank the water and peeled the meat out of the shell. I ate some (parasites hate it) and put the rest in the fridge. Then I made breakfast.
After eating, I went in the back yard and used the weed wacker to trim the yard. But the cord was too short to reach more than half. I got a pair of shears and clipped in some places. But my back wasn't so happy with that. I decided to leave raking for tomorrow.
I read e-mail and listened to some interviews. I had a dish of papaya seeds in the fridge. Some were dried and some still had the juicy coating. I separated the two kinds and ground up the dry ones. I took virtual rides on the Twisted Colossus coaster at Six Flags, courtesy of Youtube. And on a few other coasters as well. While the videos ran, I filled empty capsules with the papaya seed powder.
Chris came home. I went for a walk. It was at least 30 minutes. My foot was fine, but my legs got a little tired at first. At the back of the neighborhood, I picked a few blackberries. Or maybe they were black raspberries? Idk.
When I got back, we responded to a housing survey. I ate some chicken, as lunch. Then I worked on making a dog bed from some of the pants that Marie gave me. I paused at 7:30 to make a salad for supper. As usual, I did not feel like eating, but there were meal supplements to take. I ate the salad while watching a video on detoxing,
Then Chris and I watched two episodes of Star Trek: Next Generation. I started the evening supplement line-up, which is now more complicated because of the mimosa pudica. I posted to my blog for yesterday, and now I am finished the post for today.

Cutting the grass for the first time in months

I started the supplement line-up as soon as I got up. I don't remember when that was. I did my lower back exercises while swishing. As I worked through the line-up, I treated myself for sensitivities to brazil nuts. I got started on e-mail.
Chris came home around 11, having just gotten immunizations at the medical center. He took a packet of Vitamin C to make me happy. He also had doxycycline, which he is supposed to take the entire time he is in Honduras because of the possibility of malaria. I can't imagine that doesn't hurt his gut microflora. We spent some time together. I asked him to load my sewing machine in my trunk. He did that and went back to work.
I made and ate breakfast. Then I went to Stitch-Its. I forgot my phone (again) so no quilt pics. I brought my machine in, but there were leaving early, except for Pat. She and I stayed and talked until 2.
When I got home, I checked the house mail. There was a package of special tooth powder in there. I ate chicken and nuts for lunch and took the lunch supplements. Chris came home while I was reading e-mail. He got my machine out of my trunk.
When I got to a good stopping point, I went outside to mow the lawn. It had been a long time since I mowed it last. Because the weeds were so tall, I mowed two steps forward and one step back, over the whole lawn. It was tedious, but the lawn looked a whole lot better when I was done. It still needed trimming but I left that for tomorrow.
I made and ate a salad for supper. I had Chris treat me for brazil nuts. My tapping buddy called and we tapped together for 90 minutes or so. Actually, part of that time I was answering Patrick's call. He wanted to know where my dad was. I wondered why Patrick was not at work.
After my Skype call, We watched two episodes of ST:NG. It was like Groundhog Day on the Enterprise. I know I watched the series when it first aired, but nothing seems familiar and we are already in season 5.
I had taken the melatonin early. By the end of the second episode, I was so sleepy that I went straight to bed. I figured a good night's sleep was worth a missed blog post.

Scrub-a-dub-dub

I woke up early, hearing Chris move around and take a shower. I stayed in bed after he left, but Mother Nature got me up. It was just after 7. I brushed and swished. I boiled water for coffee. I rinsed the sprouts, and cleared some space in the kitchen.
I did my exercises in preparation for a coffee and meditation morning. I was surprised when Chris came home midmorning. He said he just finished an appointment at the medical center. After he left, I finished meditating. I cleaned the bathrooms, then took a shower. I washed the shower walls by hand, and scrubbed the tub with my right foot. It made my left heel a little sore. But I did not notice until later.
I got dressed. While I was making breakfast, William called. I finished and started eating by the time he had to go back to work. After eating, I cleaned the kitchen and washed my dish and spoon.
At 2, I went to the Korean clinic. I passed an accident outside gate 8 on the way. They were getting ready to eat lunch because business had been too busy earlier to eat. But she did not want to eat in front of me. So she gave me snacks. She wanted me to find out if insurance in Georgia covers acupuncture. I looked up an acupuncture site in Atlanta and they did not take insurance. I called BCBS of Georgia and he said they did not cover acupuncture. But Aetna said they did under certain circumstances.
Since the Korean doctors had had a thriving practice in California, I thought they should reconsider that. He said it was too hot and too expensive there. I tried to find a cooler city in California, but each one had a high housing cost. They thought Madison was a better place.
At four, I said my farewells. She gave me two boxes of tea: moringa, and solomon's seal. She said next week I could have a detox foot bath. I headed back to base, stopping at the post office. I found a package from Swanson waiting for me. When I got home, I ate a piece of chicken. I was about to leave the house when Chris came home from work. So I left my keys at home and went for a walk. It was a path I had taken before, but I shaved some distance by walking across the lawn. On the path I found blackberries. I picked a few that were ripe.
When I got back, I read e-mail. I unpacked the box from Swanson, then put together a week's worth of supplements; both hers and mine. I made a new arrangement in pill bottles and the pill minders, but in effect, it was not much different from before. I did not need to order any more supplements before next week. I had Chris treat me for sensitivities to aminos, just in case. I made a small salad and ate it so I could take the third round of supplements.
I sliced some ginger root for ginger tea. I tried to get the TV on Netflix but the small laptop that connects it needed rebooting. Chris took care of it after fighting with his own computer, and then we watched two episodes of ST:NG.
We left the doors open for fresh air. Chris went to bed while I stayed up to blog and do my lower back exercises.
* I didn't take any pics today, so here is one from Pentecost Sunday. *

Tiring day

I woke up early, probably hearing Chris' alarm. I could not get comfortable or go back to sleep. I got up at 7, hearing Chris still in the house. I had him treat me for egg. He was not eating breakfast because he had to go for a fasting kind of test. I felt badly for him because, due to the bread mishap, he wasn't going to get his usual lunch either. He left soon for the medical center. The testing is necessary for him to go to Honduras.
I took the first enzyme and then brushed and swished. The bread machine was cool, so I started another loaf of bread and made sure the paddle was mixing the contents. I read e-mail and listened to a podcast. I looked up how to compare units of enzymes – there are so many! I read reviews on enzymes. I put the recyclables out at the curb.
When the pre-breakfast supplement line-up was over, I got dressed. I drove to the Tuesday morning quilting. Sadly I forgot my phone, again, because they were making colorful aprons to sell at various events. As soon as I got there, Robin asked me to wind a bobbin for Beverly's machine. Beverly was not there, but her machine is a lot like mine. I had no trouble winding a bobbin and threading the machine. Anita said I could sew with her machine, so I did. But I ran out of bobbin thread and needed her to wind another one because it was a Singer Touch-n-Sew, which winds the bobbin while still in the bobbin case. While some of us sewed, others came by to pick up pieces to press. Anita turned the straps right side out. It was fairly quick. Then she and Robin put out food for lunch. I finished the apron and picked up another kit. I did not know about the lunch and had a bunch of errands to run.
I went to the Asian store where I bought kimchi, kimbap, ginger root, and pickled garlic. On the way home, I stopped at the gas station to fill my tank. When I got back to the house, it was breakfast time. But today, breakfast was on the Asian side. I read e-mail while I ate. I took the nut cheese out of the fridge and added lemon juice, pepper, and garlic powder. I put some in a jar to take with me.
At 1, I headed to the office of the naturopathic doctor. Someone from Dad's care agency called me. He wanted to make an appointment to see Dad. He suggested Saturday and I thought that was fine. I called Dad to tell him, but had to leave a message. Then the doctor called me back. I gave her some nut cheese. She tested me for sensitivities to egg and found I wasn't totally clear yet. She said the test covers more than just what's in a chicken egg. Sigh. I told her the brain fog was getting worse and she said sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. After the treatment, I made an appointment for next week, paid and went home.
I drank a can of coconut water and headed to church with the red folder and blue bag. The place was empty. I turned on the computer. There was a pop-up that would not go away. I had to work around it and finally realized I could move it to the corner of the screen. I entered all the data for last Sunday. I printed out the reports it generated. Then I stopped by the bathroom, and headed to the farmer's market.
Faye called just as I was parking. She said Dad needed to talk to me. So I locked up the car, and stood at the edge of the lot. I called Dad and we talked about Saturday. I suggested he write himself a note, but he said there was no blank paper to write on. After the call, I walked up and down the parking lot, looking at the produce for sale. I got some lettuce and cucumbers. I also got heart: lamb, beef and pork. I put it in my car and went to the bank. I deposited the offering and collected the receipt.
When I got home, I checked the mail. There was one piece for Chris. On the way back to the house, I spied a piece of paper in our yard. It was a letter addressed to a former resident of this duplex. I wondered how it got there. It wasn't there this morning. I wondered if it got delivered to another house and they put it in their recycling and it blew out.
I ate a piece of chicken for lunch and swallowed the lunch supplements. William called to tell me about the vacuum cleaners. The cost to fix them was over $100 and he thought Kevin should pay it.
Then Chris came home. He said his interview went ok, but not great. He had nothing from the post office for me. He opened the bread machine to find a nicely risen loaf. Yea! I sewed up the straps for the apron kit that I picked up. I pressed the straps and started pressing the pockets.
I went for a walk around the block and behind the houses. I spied one blackberry bush, but it had no ripe berries. When I got back, I watered my plants. No ripe tomatoes today. I read e-mail for awhile. I took an enzyme, read some more, then made a salad with salad greens from the store and some from the market. I washed a cucumber to go with it. It also had bitter melon and pickled garlic. It was very good but took me a long time to eat.
Chris folded laundry until I was ready. Then we watched two episodes of ST:NG. I took my evening supplements and made ginger tea. Chris looked up some of the actors for me. Then he went to bed.
I stayed up to blog and drink tea.

Clean bill of ... structure?

I got up just before the alarm went off. I started the supplement regimen. I treated myself for sensitivities to caffeine. I got dressed and read e-mail. I ate half of the colostrum fat bomb.
I decanted the sumac berries to make tea. I put most of it in a clean jar and put the jar in a plastic bag. Then I went to the chiropractor.
The receptionist asked me to fill out a form which asked what improvements I have noticed since I started treatment. Then she took me to a small room to measure my ranges of motion. She did not tell me the scores, but she seemed pleased. Then I waited for my turn to see the doctor.
When he came in, I gave him the sumac tea and explained what it was. He was pleased. He felt my neck and shoulders, then adjusted C2. He was pleased with my progress and range of motion. I asked about my foot, and he pulled on it to loosen the ankle joint. I do not know why it was important. But he said my treatment was over and that I should come back in a month for a check-up. I was surprised because I had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday. I went to the front desk and she said that the Wednesday appointment had been canceled. She said I could have the decomp treatment before leaving, so I waited in line for that. After decomp, I made an appointment for July and went home. I was a little disappointed because I had some nut cheese in the works that I was going to bring on Wednesday.
When I got home, I swallowed a packet of vitamin C and listened to an interview. I ate the rest of the colostrum fat bomb. Then I made breakfast. By the time I finished it, it was after noon. I took a sewing machine out of my trunk and put in the rolling case which carries a machine and all the notions.
I went to quilting. Sadly I forgot my phone so was unable to take pictures. Lauri was there and I made sure she got her movies back. I pulled out a project that I had cut the pieces for months ago. But I could not remember what the plan was. Lauri looked at the pieces, too, but it didn't strike a bell with her either. We looked in the quilter's closet for similar scraps, but there was nothing similar. I made an arrangement and started sewing. People left. Finally it was just Rachel and me. We packed up and left together.
I went home, forgetting to stop by the gas station. I looked for some similar scraps for corner stones. I made a salad for lunch and took the lunch supplements. It was quite filling. I cut up a bitter melon and put the pieces in salt water for later. I read e-mail. Chris came home from work, not having had time to go by the post office.
Around 5 I felt sleepy. I laid down. But I did not quite fall asleep. Chris came in to change his clothes and he turned on the AC. So I got up again.
I started a loaf of bread at his request. I went outside and watered the plants. For supper I ate a bowl of blackberries and blueberries. I called Dad and we talked. He'd only had one fat bomb. After the call, I looked at enzyme products online. The ones the doctor prescribed were so expensive that I was looked for a comparable replacement.
I made ginger tea and we watched two episodes of ST:NG. Chris opened the bread machine and saw that the bread came out badly. The bottom was pure flour, like it hadn't mixed. Chris asked me to make another loaf, but the bread machine was still hot, too hot to do a proper job. I asked him to check the mail and he found some. He went to bed while I swished and wrote to my blog.

Pentecost

I got up when the alarm went off. I took a supplement, and then showered. I put on a dress and flats. I hoped it would be alright. I didn't want to wear the running shoes to church again. I read e-mail. Chris did a clearing on me for the digestion vial. I read e-mail and mixed powders with oil to make a paste. I ate half of it. Then it was time to go.
I moved the contents of my purse to a blue one to match my blue dress. )I did not realize that it was Pentecost and everyone else would be wearing red.) I got in my car and drove to church. I got a bulletin and hit the restroom. In the sanctuary, Don was already sitting in our pew. He was happy to see me. I quickly wrote a check for the offering. Cecelia came and sat with me. We had a short conversation before the service started.
It was a quick service. Some of the liturgy was missing. I guess our interim pastor wanted to keep it short because he was giving a talk on church statistics in America afterward. There was a short break after the service. I moved to a better seat. Doris sat with me and Jennifer sat in front. We listened to his presentation. It seems church attendance is declining in all denominations across America. Many young people no longer find church relevant.
When it was over, I took pics of my banner hanging on the wall. I could not see the quilting in the grape circle. I got some very nice comments from people nearby. I wondered who told them I had done it.
Then I went home. Chris was gone. I called, thinking he might be at the store, but he did not answer. I made breakfast, and listened to podcast. Finally I called his work number. He answered right away. He said he thought he'd told me he was going to work, After hanging up, I went to quilting. I did not have my sewing machine so I offered to help in any other way. Lynette had me sort some fabric, and then I did pressing for others. Sadly I had forgotten my phone so I was unable to take pics of the lovely quilt tops that were present. Finally I swept the floor while stronger people packed up and hauled the tubs of fabric to Lynette's car. Then I went home.
Chris came home while I was gone and mowed the lawn. I read some e-mail, hoping to get up the energy to go grocery shopping. I saw William had called, so I called him back. He talked at length. After the call, I decided I was too tired, so Chris went to the grocery store by himself. I drained a jar of sunflower seeds and cashews that had been soaking since yesterday. I blended them with fermented coconut milk and left the mixture to sit and ferment overnight.
Chris came home with groceries. He put them away while I cleaned up a bit. I asked him to fry up the bitter melon slices that had been soaking in salt water for 24 hours. He did, and I tasted one. It wasn't so bad, but it wasn't good. We both thought it needed bacon. I made and ate salad while watching an interview. I sprinkled the fried bitter melon slices on my salad. For the most part, I did not notice them while eating the salad.
We watched two episodes of ST:NG. Afterward, somehow we got talking about the character in Numbers who only ate white food. I tried to look up why, but was unable to get that info.

Not the sharpest blade in the pack

I took the Purozyme early, then went back to bed. Chris gave me a coconut oil massage, He skipped my left foot. Afterward, I got up to wash up and follow the usual morning routine,
I asked Chris to treat me for sensitivities to two vials at once. I made and ate breakfast and took supplements. While I was reading e-mail, Chris did laundry. Then he stripped the bed, and looked for a clean set of sheets. I went to the linen closet and realized my sheets were not in complete sets encased in a matching pillowcase. Quelle horreur! I pulled all the sheets out of the closet and sorted them. Chris took one set to put on the bed. But there were missing pieces to the other sets. One was not marked with a size. i went looking around the house. I found a pillowcase in the guest room and more sheets in the garage. I kept losing track of what organization I had done and had to pull the sheets out and recheck them. Is this what my dad lives with every day? Finally, the twin sheets were on the top shelf, the full size were on the next shelf, the queen size were a shelf below that, and the king size was within my unassisted reach. There were sheets and pillowcases that did not belong to any sets. They got shoved above.
I went for a walk around the circle in our neighborhood. The chiropractor had suggested a 5 minute walk, but after going to Publix last week, I knew I could do more. So I went around the circle. As it happened, I was following the mail man. I would walk past him at one stop, then he would pass me going to the next. When he got to my bank of boxes, I went home. Chris said he had forgotten to put the Netflix DVD in the mail, so I got it out there in time to hand it to the man.
Then I had lunch – clam chowder and chicken. I took the lunch supplements. I listened to a podcast while I sorted fabric scraps. I updated my supplement checklist and printed out a copy to use over the next five day. I updated instructions for the shark, then put it and the pattern pieces in an envelope and filed it away with other projects. I sharpened my rotary cutter (or made confetti) by slicing up some tinfoil. I took an umbrella and went out to get the mail. I should have gotten it earlier when it wasn't raining.
I listened to another podcast. I made salad for supper. I sliced up a bitter melon and soaked the pieces in salt water. I cut up a pair of Marie's pants to make a dog bed. She had given me a bag of worn pants and this seemed like the perfect project. I ate some blueberries and blackberries. I called Dad to remind him of the fat bombs. First he said he hadn't had any, but later said he did.
I made ginger tea and added clove powder and mineral drops. I drank it while Chris and I watched two episodes of ST:NG with appearances from Leonard Nimoy.
I took the evening supplements and wrote down the events of the day.

Going places

I heard Chris leave and then there was a great ringing in my ears. I stayed in bed for awhile, but the ringing was too much. I got up about 6:40 to see if Chris left the router on. He had not. Since I was up, I took the first supplement. I brushed and swished. I did the foot and lower back exercises. I rinsed the sprouts. I mixed some powdered bentonite clay into my tooth powder. I looked up chewing raw rice to treat parasites. I could only find one mention of it and it did not say if it was effective. Lots of articles were saying not to eat it.
I went to the chiropractor. The receptionist changed my appointment time on Monday. Then I was taken to the decompression room. After 12 minutes of that, I went to an exam room. When the doctor arrived, I gave him some fermented coconut milk. He seemed interested. He did the usual adjustments. He said he would adjust my left foot when I was certain it had had a full 8 weeks to heal.
When I got home, I finished the morning supplements, then made and ate breakfast. The dentist's office called to say they had my book. I asked them to leave it on their front porch since they were closing at noon. William called, from Good Will I think.
At 12:35 I went to NXN Salon for a massage that I had booked through Groupon. I sat in the waiting room with nothing to read, smelling hair and nail products in the air. At almost 1, Wendy came out and asked me to fill out a questionnaire. I wrote in all the info and circled the parts I wanted massaged. I put an X over the left foot of the figure on the paper. I also wrote down that I had injured my foot. When she came to bring me back and discuss my sheet, I mentioned that the foot was hurt. She left while I got undressed and laid on the table. She came back and started the massage. I think she used Wintergreen oil, which seemed like a good idea for someone who is having hot flashes, but it did not agree with me. She massaged my back and shoulders for some time. Then she did my legs and feet. Both of them. My left foot did not hurt like I expected, so I didn't mention it. After the relaxing massage, I got dressed. She asked if I wanted to make another appointment and offered me a special price if I got one every month. I mentioned the smell of hair and nail products and she said Sundays were better because the hair and nail tech didn't work that day. So I did make another appointment.
I went to the sewing center to drop off a machine, but it was the wrong sewing center. Chris called to tell me it was a good time to go to the visitor's center and get a new ID. But I had other things to do first. I went to the dentist's office to pick up my book, which they had left on the front porch just as I asked. Then I stopped by the bank to deposit a check. I drove home. I checked the mail and found a bottle of probiotics. I drank water and ate a piece of chicken so I could take my lunch supplements.
Then I went to the visitor's center just outside Gate 9 to renew my ID. I passed an accident, but didn't get slowed down as much as I thought. I read a book while waiting my turn at the ID counter. When the gentleman made me a new ID, he insisted on taking a new picture. It came out really dark. You can't see my features very well.
When I got home, I listened to more of the audio. Chris came home from work. He had a letter for me from the post office, but it was a request for money. I gave up on the video when I realized it was over 2 hours long. I put on a shorter one and played a few games of Solitaire.
I made and ate a salad. I took my supper supplements. I listened to an interview and started a second one. It was almost time to watch TV, so I paused it and called Dad. He'd only had one fat bomb today, but was up on his hydration.
We watched a sci-fi movie called Passengers. I had to look up some of the actors. It was very good. The rain came down hard. I listened to it as I typed up my blog post.

Dry rice for parasites?

I got up at 8:30, thinking it was earlier. I took the first supplement and got dressed. I put together a week's worth of super minerals. I also made bone broth and a colostrum fat bomb. I tapped a specific set of points while holding the vial for glands and organs. Then it was time to go.
I went to the dentist. On the way, I noted a number of places I could have stopped if I had been prepared: the bank, the recycling center, the Asian market. When I arrived, it was raining. I took an umbrella from the car to get to the office for my 6 month check up. I read my book for a few minutes. The a hygienist I hadn't seen before took me back and cleaned my teeth. She marked in her record that several of them needed crowns. She said I should be tested for sleep apnea because I grind my teeth (or used to). She also said there was no change in the last molar. That was good news. She took me to the front desk. I did not have to pay because I was on their insurance plan. That means I pay $29 a month all year long and visits and x-rays are included.
On the way home, I stopped at the Asian market for coconuts and bitter melon. When I got home, I put together the supplements that the doctor made me buy. I made breakfast and took her supplements. William called and talked to me about a turmeric supplement he started taking. After eating breakfast, I put together my supplements for the week. I swallowed the breakfast ones, thinking I needed a better plan.
Soon I had to leave again. I went to the naturopathic doctor. I did not read in the waiting room because I did not have my book. I wondered if it was at the dentist's office. When the doctor greeted me, she gave me a book about the names of God. I told her about last week and being so sick Tuesday night. She put it down to drinking the tap water from the hotel. I told her I wanted to plan a party for my parasites – the party of a lifetime, with a menu to die for of pumpkin seeds, papaya seeds, wormwood, walnut hull, and mimosa pudica. I was hoping for some guidance on dosing, but her only response was that the Chinese chew on dry rice every day to kill parasites.
I laid on the table. She tested me and said chicken was now ok. She treated me for sensitivities to eggs and told me not to eat any for the next 25 hours. I paid up front and made my next appointment, but it was 3 weeks away because she was so booked up (and only works 3 days a week).
When I got home, I called the dentist about my book. But all I got was an answering machine for Marsha. On the third try, I left a message. Chris came home from work. He had one piece of mail for me. It was from the local food bank, which sends me a request for money several times a month. I made and ate salad so I could take my lunch supplements.
I listened to a very interesting interview with a dentist. She said glycerin found in toothpaste coats the demineralized surfaces of teeth and prevents them from remineralizing. She recommended brushing with clay and charcoal (found in her brand of tooth powder) instead.
I ate a piece of chicken so I could have something to take the supper supplements with. Then my tapping buddy called me on Skype. We tapped for the issues around saying 'no' to requests. When our time was up, I brushed and swished and sat in the living room. Chris and I watched two episodes of ST:NG. I asked Chris to treat me while I held the vial from this morning. I took my night supplements and sat down to write my blog post while Chris got ready for bed.

Better out than in

I did not take any evening supplements last night. I got very little sleep. My digestive system was very upset, although I can't figure out why. I avoided throwing up because of my back by sniffing peppermint oil, but at 4am it happened anyway. I was surprised how much was in my stomach after 8 hours. And it smelled like peppermint. I suspected an intestinal blockage. Chris suspected appendicitis.
I felt better, drank water, and went back to bed, but the feeling came back. I tried to get more to come up, but was unsuccessful. Chris got up at 5 and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. The mere thought of him eating made me sick. However, earlier I felt like not eating for the rest of my life. But just then, I thought maybe not eating for the rest of the year would suffice.
I got up at 7:29. I took the purozyme. I brushed and swished. I treated myself for sensitivity to coffee. I made coffee for detoxing. I did lots of tapping and some meditating. Chris came home after taking his car to get worked on, turned on the router, picked up his lunch, and went to work. I finished up the coffee morning, and started cleaning. I mopped the kitchen floor and took a shower.
Then Beverly called. We spent quite a while talking since she is going to be out of town next week. Then I partially cleaned the bathrooms and vacuumed them. I emptied the dust cup. I jotted a few notes while listening to an interview on retroviruses. I drank some coconut water to replace electrolytes. I needed to take my breakfast supplements but there wasn't time to make breakfast, so I opened a can of soup. I ate soup and swallowed tablets and softgels.
I drove to the Korean clinic. She wanted me to find some stickers to put on furniture. So I scoured the internet but did not find any. Then she drove me to the store where she took a class on putting stickers on wood. They were called transfers. We looked around at all the antiques for sale. She bought a plate, and we went back to the clinic. Then I repeated my search with the word 'transfer'. But wall decals kept coming up. I searched under the name of the company that makes the ones at the store. Still, there was nothing she liked. Further searches found patterns she liked, but they were waterslide decals, not rub-ons. It was almost 5 when she gave me a large box of onion juice packets and let me go.
I sat in my car and searched for my ID. Sadly, I did not have it. So I called Chris, who I assumed was at home. But he was just leaving work. So I drove to the base and parked in the tiny lot outside the gate. I waited. I thought Chris was going to call, but suddenly he showed up on foot. He handed me my ID and guided me in backing up without hitting incoming traffic. He got in the passenger seat and we went through the check point. I drove him to his car and he headed home. I did too, but then thought of the blackberries. So I drove to the rear of the neighborhood and walked to the nearest patch. Those were all green. But the ones in the back were red. I wasn't certain how long it would be before they were ready to pick.
When I got to the house, I checked the mail and found a package of mimosa pudica seed. I made breakfast and took lunch supplements. I looked up a meme on Pinterest and could not stop looking, even after I found it. It wasted a lot of time.
When Chris was ready, we watched two episodes of ST:NG. I took my evening supplements (the supper ones got skipped). I asked Chris to clear me of sensitivities to the second vial. I did a few rounds of EFT to top it off. Then he went to bed while I wrote my blog post.

A finishing touch for the banner

I got up about 6:30. My ears were ringing loudly. Chris was gone and the router was off. I got dressed and went outside to mow the lawn. But everything was silent and I didn't want to wake anyone. I went out the front door and watered a few plants. I went to get the house mail from yesterday. The bottle of aminos was in there. I found it a place in my supplement regimen. I swept the floor. I washed the water bottles from our trip with boiling water.
I collated the recycling, and broke down a bunch of Amazon boxes. I carried it all out to the street for pick-up. I took 5 of the amino tablets and a headache started. I treated myself with one of the vials, the one for digestion.
I laid out the banner. Today was the due date and time to add any last minute touches. I thought it needed more quilting in the bottom circle but didn't know what to put there. I couldn't find the banner books that I got from Jane, which might have some ideas. I looked all over, twice and in the car. Finally I turned on the router so I could do an internet search. I found the books lying in a pile on the computer desk. I looked through the images and decided on a cup motif and a grape motif. I cut out a paper cup and 5 circles. I pinned them to the banner and sewed around them. It was harder that it sounds. But I was very pleased with the result.
At 10, I went to quilting, but the church was having VBS, so no quilters were there. I turned around and went home. I made and ate breakfast and took the breakfast supplements. I listened to interviews and played Solitaire. Then I did my lower back exercises, using the paper I found in the folder.
At 2:30 I headed to the church. I circled around and came back to the house because I thought I had forgotten my folder. But it was in my bag the whole time. I left for church again and passed the farmer's market, which wasn't quite open for business.
I took the banner to church and laid it in the room with the other banners. I entered all the offering amounts into the computer and printed out reports. I waited for Elaine because we were going to do some sensitivity clearings together. I checked my e-mail on my phone. Eventually I got one from her saying she was going to be late, probably too late. I went to the bank and deposited the checks and cash. Then I went to the farmer's market, looking for strawberries. The season was over and all I found was one person selling them in half gallon baskets for $8, which I thought was a lot. Their blackberries looked better and I bought some of them as well. I also bought lamb liver at another booth. Then I headed home.
On the way, Elaine called. But it was almost 5 and I had a headache and just wanted to go home. I put the strawberries in a baking soda bath and left them to soak. I ate a papaya and separated out the seeds for later. I listened to a number of short audios. I ate some chicken and read e-mail. My stomach didn't feel good. I drank some apple cider vinegar but it didn't help. I drank the mineral drops diluted in water. That did not help either. Finally I swallowed a peppermint soft gel. I sorted fabric scraps to take my mind off of the discomfort. Then Chris and I sat down to watch two episodes of ST:NG. My discomfort only grew and I burped up peppermint. After the shows, Chris made his sandwich, laid out tomorrow's clothes, and went to bed. I stayed up to blog and rub my poor tummy.
