Another one bites the dust

Wednesday

I got up around 7, just after Chris left. I prepared for coffee morning. I watered the plants outdoors. A gopher made a run for it and I followed him with the hose, drenching him. He popped over the curb and I ran out of hose. So I grabbed a rock and went looking for him. He was slowly making his way toward the driveway. The rock came down upon his head, and on the rest of him.

I went on with coffee morning exercises, and meditation amd MMS. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes and other utensils I use every day. Chris came home for lunch. I made a gold sleeve for the quilt with the green back. I set my sewing machine on a basting stitch and just sewed it on with matching thread.

I took the last dose of MMS at 2:45. I went to the library where they were tie-dying t-shirts. I looked over the instructions to see which procedure I wanted. I kept getting interrupted by texts. When I had an idea in mind, I went to my car to get a surgeon's gown to keep the dye off my clothes. They had plastic gloves, too, but somehow my hands still got colored. I applied dye to the shirt and tried to spread it with a paintbrush. Michelle showed up, and she made a shirt for her daughter. I got a text to meet someone at the swap shop, so I left my shirt there and headed over.

Turns out Tonja was just opening it, so I could have stayed put. Still, we chatted a bit and he came in and got two boxes. Later Michelle arrived with my shirt. She said they were packing up the dyes. We chatted some more, and I went home.

I looked over the quilts and decided on a black and white sleeve. I found some fabric and sewed it together. Michelle came over to help me rearrange for the new colonel's visit. We worked on one of the diningroom chairs. Then she had to leave. I went back to work on the sleeve. Then Jamie came over to tell me she was doing well, before dashing off to the commissary.

I heated milk on the stove. I dashed to the garden to make sure everything was ok. It kinda started to rain. I came back and finished making cheese. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers and put them in the oven. I texted Michelle about the cheese. She said she'd come when the rain stopped. Chris came home from Mass with a pizza.

I sewed on the sleeve at the dining room table. Then I worked on my blog while Chris read on the couch. When I had posted, I made tea. We sat down to watch SG1. In the middle of the episode, Michelle and Casey arrived because the rain had stopped. We chatted a bit, then they moved the old brown recliner out to the back porch. Because the sprinklers happened to be on, they left it there and moved the new blue recliner to the spot just vacated. We chatted in the kitchen for a bit, then they carried the chair to the front while Chris carried the dolly through the house. They put the chair on the long part. Michelle jumped in and Casey pushed her all the way to the dumpster on the next street. I tried to get a pic, but it was getting dark.

We finished our episodes of SG1 and he went to bed. I stayed up to parse supplements for the next week, then turned in.

Hearing the stories

Tuesday

I got up after 8, never having heard my alarms. I got ready for the day, then watered the outdoor plants at home, and some sparse grass. I took some LAB to the garden. The irrigation system seemed to be fine. I watered with a hose anyway, then mixed the LAB into jugs of water and watered my plants, the peonies, roses and somebody's strawberries.

When I got home, I cleaned out a section of the front porch where tree seeds had collected. I don't know why, but it was full of mosquitoes. No moisture though. I used my electric racket to great effect. It was a target-rich environment.

I finished listening to Mary and Polly, then fertilized the outdoor plants and watered the indoor ones. I deleted bunches of e-mail. I tried plugging in the small laptop that Chris had bought for our trip to China, then realized it would not connect to the internet by wire, only by wifi, which wasn't turned on yet.

I made breakfast and ate it. At 1pm, I went to the apartment for the inspection. It passed easily. I saw a package on Kavon's doorstep. It had been there for at least a week. I went by the post office to find out if he had moved. No, and they thought it was strange as well.

I made hanging sleeves and pinned them to the backs of two quilts. Then I drove to Saronna's house. I asked her two daughters to sew the sleeves on while she and I played. The older girl finished, but the younger one was taking tiny stitches and hadn't gotten far. So I left it there.

I went to Tonja's house to drop off reciepts and her plant pot. She gave me a basil plant. We sat and talked for a bit. Then at 4, I drove to Tim's house for a quote. A policeman came for a statement, so I went in the house and looked around at the kitchen and bathrooms and window blinds. When I came out, the guy was finishing up. I quoted him 6 or 700 dollars. Revonna was packing her car across the street so I walked over to see how she was doing. I got to hear everything she'd been through and I wondered why she wasn't quitting. That went on for some time.

Michelle drove up and joined the conversation. She had been at my house looking to deliver a gallon of goat milk. We went to my house and I put the milk in the fridge. Chris came home from work. She told him about Housing not being in sync with Protocol. She helped me move the little planter stand to the back porch.

After she left, I went to Saronna's house to get my quilt. I stayed to talk for a bit. I promised Randy some poke berries and Saronna gave me some fermented soybeans. Finally I went home. I brought in the plant that Tonja gave me. And rolled up my windows because big fat drops were coming down.

Chris had made quinoa. I added some leftover fish and mushrooms. After that, I made and ate a salad. I worked on my blog on the desk top. I made tea and we watched SG1. He went to bed and I stayed up to catch up on e-mail.

The irrigation system is working

Monday

I got up around 7:30. I got ready for the day. I watered the plants at home, in the back and side and front. I stopped at the company apartment to get the bedding, but there was still no key. I texted as much to Jamie.

Then I went to the garden. The hose end had blown off again and the timer unit was lying on the ground. I ad to go home to get my tools. Then I tried one of the small hoses from the hotel, but discovered it had two female ends. I reassembled the hose end that blew. I watered my plants and made sure the water pressure was low, but enough. I also watered the peonies.

I went home. I read e-mail and listened to talks from the dental summit. I made and ate breakfast. I cut blades of 'grass' from the microgreens. Not bad. I ate a grapefruit while still reading e-mail. Then at 2 I went to an apartment Michelle had cleaned. She met me there. We went through it together. It was pretty good. Then we talked outside for awhile. Afterward, I went to Housing to schedule the inspection for tomorrow.

Michelle came over to help me select quilts for the hobby show. We went through most of them. We chose 5. Four of them needed hanging sleeves. We talked till after 5 and then she went home. I found some strips to sew together into a sleeve. I made a salad, then Chris came home from work. He cooked mushrooms and fish.

I met Michelle and Casey at the garden at 7:30. He tried plugging the holes in the lines, but the plugs didn't help. The leaks continued. So we rustled up some new lines and put them in. The whole thing took about an hour.

I came home, put the food away, and made tea. I worked on my blog, then watched SG1 with Chris. He went to bed and I stayed up to finish my blog and to listen to part of Mary and Polly's talk on recent articles.

We got game

Sunday

I got up around 8. My back hurt, but not enough to stop me from getting up. Was it from swimming in the pool?

I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I deleted a bunch of e-mail. I went to the garden to water it and brought some items for patching since Christina had messaged me that her husband had to turn my water off. However, the problem was not one I would have guessed. The hose end connected to the timer had come off. I was able to fix that enough to put a sprayer hose on it. I watered my plants, and took the timer/pressure thingy combo home for Chris to detangle.

At home, I got out a new timer. I put batteries in it and set the times and duration. Then I was able to get the other components unscrewed from each other. I attached the splitter to my new timer. I watered the outdoor plants at home. Then Chris came with me to the garden. We got the hoses and timer connected. We returned the pressure thingy back to the shed. I adjusted the water faucet and tested it to make sure the drip lines were not punctured.

We went home. I read e-mail for a bit, then made breakfast and ate it. I got dressed for church. I put a large jar of pickled eggs and my trombone in the car and went to the chapel.

I walked in with the eggs. I put them in the fridge then talked to Sgt King for awhile. Another man came as well as Saronna and her daughter. The pastor was late because he got chosen for an intensive search at the front gate. He said a prayer then preached on the last two chapers of John, saying we would start Revelations next week. Then Saronna and I and Sophia played two hymns.

We chatted in the church, then the women set up in the fellowship hall. We had pickled eggs and apples. I invited the men to come and eat. Casey dropped off chicken but did not stay to eat. The rest of us chatted as we ate. Saronna took some pickled eggs home for her husband and sons.

I went home and put the eggs and trombone away. I changed my clothes. Chris was gaming. I read some e-mail and placed an order for dissolving laundry detergent sheets. Chris called Jamie to help upgrade our characters for level 4. I went out back to mow part of the back yard.

Soon after 5 I came in to start the game. But it hadn't started yet, waiting for John. When it got going, we opened the portcullis and went through. Nothing attacked us. We found a torture room. Michele got cursed. We were going to go back the way we came, but she found a secret door. Entering, we walked past empty cells and found a hallway. We opened the door at the end and were in a long narrow cave. At one point we were attacked by a gelatinous creature, but we survived. At the other end, we found a door into a haunted room. Letters appeared on the walls, written in blood. We turned to run as the ceiling crashed down.

John ended the game there. We all said goodbye. I got on the desktop to look at e-mail and then to work on my blog. I went outside to water the grass in weak spots. When I heard a bubbling sound, I realized the sprinklers were powering up and I turned off the water and ran inside. I made tea and rinsed the sprouts. Then I sat with Chris to watch two episodes of SG1. I took a homeopathic remedy for menopause. We'll see if it works.

Cleaning the house

Sat, June 24

We got up around 7:30. I suggested we put the old battery back in and see if it works, but Chris was certain it would not. I took supplements and washed dishes. I watered the indoor plants. I typed notes for my blog. Chris hooked the desktop to the internet. It was easier to use than I expected, though all I did was check e-mail and Facebook.

Then I stopped by the post office to check the mail and to give the ladies certificates to Melanie's. From there, I went to the company house to get the laundry started. I found all the bedrooms now had locking knobs. And the third bedroom was locked. All the sheets and towels were on the floor by the washer. The duvet for the third room was in the washer and wet. I put the whole thing in the dryer and hoped for the best. Then the flat and fitted sheets went into the washer.

I went to the garden to water and then to plant pearl onions, hoping they will grow bigger. I also tried to change out the hose end for a tighter one, but I couldn't budge it. From there I went to the company apartment. I was going to collect the bedding to wash, but there was no key in lock box. Well, one less thing to do.

I went home and asked Chris for a massage. He gave me one and we each took a shower. I got dressed and went to the company house to change out the laundry. I spread the duvet on a bed and turned on the ceiling fan.

When I got home, I watered the outdoor plants and a gopher hole. I tried to get all the dirt to go back in. Then I came inside to make breakfast. I ate it while wrestling with the desktop to do simple things, like changing tabs and deleting the e-mail I just read. Sigh. After breakfast I jotted more notes. L-glutamine for healing leaky gut.

I went to the company house to put the towels in the dryer. Then Chris and I went to the garden to put a new end on the base hose.

I didn't have the right end, but there was one in the shed. So we got the timer system back online I 'll check tomorrow to see if it worked. After a bit, I went to the company house to clean and make the beds. Took 1:15 came home and drank several glasses of whey. Jamie texted me her hours and said it seemed high. Over twice as many as mine, but not out of line with what we bid on the house.

Michelle texted about swimming. Chris was making supper. I put on my suit and grabbed the large clock so I could watch it at the pool. I headed down to the gym. I walked into the pool area with Casey. Michelle was talking to Q. Later she joined us in the pool. We talked and swam for an hour. Then I got out, toweled off, and took my clock home.

Chris had steak, mushrooms and rice waiting for me. It was so good. Chris said he was glad I liked it. I said I was glad he didn't like it. More for tomorrow! After eating, I jotted notes for my blog and wrestled with getting into Blogger on this desktop computer. But, if you are reading this, I made it.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of SG1. I fell asleep during the second episode. When it was over we put sheets on the bed and hit the hay.

We let the magic blue smoke out

Friday

I woke up slowly, waiting for the 8am alarm. Nature made me get up and I was astonished to find it was 9:45. I got ready for the day. I watered the outdoor plants. I went to the garden to water and fertilize. I planted a few more seeds. When I got home, I planted the rest of the seedlings here and there. I looked online for an explanation of the solution for the lightbridge near the map room (in DIG). Jamie called to ask me to give some cash to her kids and take it out of her share. So I ran over to her house and handed her son some money. I made a notation on the 610B envelop to reflect it.

I made and ate breakfast and checked Facebook. Had I known how this day would turn out, I would have posted about the potluck on Sunday instead of making a note to post later.

Chris came back from the office and we went over the grocery list. He packed the cooler and we headed to Tooele, listening to the book on CD. We shopped at Luckeys and I walked to Melanies. We had a nice chat. Then I got in the car and we went to Cal Ranch for onion sets. They were out, but we did get a metal hose ender. Then we went to Macey's for hydrogen peroxide and tortillas.

When we got back to base, we stopped at the commissary for a few more things, like sesame oil. Then we went home and unloaded the food. Chris asked me to put my laptop in sleep mode so he could replace the battery with the new one that he had ordered. He had to look up how to get the bottom off, and it was complicated. The old battery had a label on the bottom, so Chris put the new one in the same way. But smoke wisped up from the connection. He pulled it out and turned it around. With a sinking feeling, he put everything back together. We plugged it into the power source, but it was unresponsive.

With no access to internet, I turned my attention to the hall closet. I had two sets of shelves to put in there, both bigger than the one already there. I wiped them down. The first one went in easily. But the second one was a tight fit. When done, I was able to get everything back in the closet and on a shelf. But what to do with the original small set? And there was an extra shelf leg.

I threw my wash cloth in the washer along with the towels from the Antelope Inn. I heated a steak for dinner. I ate it outside on the back porch. Michelle and Casey came by to get the carpet shampooer and some floor cleaner. Chris was online trying to order me a new laptop. Casey said my laptop might be salvageable. Then I typed up notes for my blog on the desktop. I may not be able to post now, but at least the info is here for when I can.

I mowed some of the yard and did a little edging. Then I got stuff together and went to Michelle's house for game night. I returned her half gallon jars. We talked about the sale, and a few other things. I gave Casey my laptop. He needed a special screwdriver so he went to my house to get it and to return the carpet shampooer. He tested the components while I played the game, with hints from Michelle since she had internet on her phone. His conclusion was that it was not revivable, but the data could be retrieved from the hard drive. I used Michelle's phone to call Chris and give him the ok to order me a new laptop.

The game went slowly as I tried to figure out why this or that wasn't working. Then, around 11, we finaly broke through. It was time to leave, but we had just found an ancient alien who would answer our questions and we made him tell us everything he knew. There is more to do, but now we know that we are rescuing them from wherever they went and can't return.

I left at 11:30 to go home. Chris was in bed. He'd left the internet on but there was nothing I could do with it. I turned it off, did my evening stretches and went to bed.

Antelope Inn sale

Thursday

I woke up at 7:30, suddenly remebering that I had texted Myra the night before. I turned on my phone and saw she had responded. I called Michelle to say we were meeting Myra at the hotel. I through on some clothes and headed over. When I got there, the two were already conversing. I joined in. We talked about our escapades. Scott came out and was ready to leave so Myra joined him. We hugged goodbye. Michelle and I stayed to chat a little longer, then walked together out to the parking lot. I got in my car while she introduced herself to the people in the next car.

I went home. I put the milk on the stove to heat. I ran to the library to return season 9 and check out season 10. I told the librarian that I was sorry he was leaving.

When I got back, I stirred the milk and sat at my laptop to find something to listen to during the cheese-making process. But the next thing I heard was the milk boiling over. I turned it off and slowly poured in some vinegar. I stirred gently until curds formed. I filtered them out and left them to drip dry. I texted Michelle asking if she wanted to be paid in cash or cheese. She chose cheese. Then I measured out 8 oz for her.

I found something to listen to while I cut up a watermelon. I saved the red flesh in baggies for the freezer, and diced up the rind for the compost pile. I made several trips outside. I made and ate breakfast and watched The Highwire. When it was over, it was almost time to walk with Michelle at 2:30, but she texted to say that the repair man was there and to come at 3 instead. So I picked out three quilts for the craft show next week. Then I sat back down to compose a paragraph to go with the display.

So I was a little late getting to Michelle's house. Then we walked over to the Antelope Inn where MWR was selling off all the furnishings. It was only 10 minutes into the sale, but we had trouble getting in because of the line of people coming out with fridges, couches, tables, recliners, mattresses, etc. We looked through the rooms and noticed that each closet had an iron and ironing board. We each grabbed an iron and I grabbed a board. It would be nice to store in the chapel for sewing class.

The big find was in the basement. It was loaded with sheets, coffee makers, waste baskets, ice buckets, etc. And two big rolling laundry carts. We grabbed the carts and loaded them with sheets and blankets for the NASA people since there isn't enough room for them at the IGH hotel. No pillow cases, oddly enough. I found a few other things, like stackable shelves, shower curtain rings, a few towels, a mop with a long handle, a hardy hose in the furnace room, short hoses for washing machines, etc. Revonna wanted a washing machine and promised to buy dinner for the firefighters that got it up the stairs. I think they were the same ones that helped us with the two big baskets.

I found some DVD players and a small recliner to replace mine. We waited outside the door for some reason. MWR charged us very little for what we got. Michelle, driving Revonna's car, dropped the blue recliner at my house. I walked back to my car and brought it to the hotel to pick up my stuff but Michelle and Casey were already pushing the carts to their house.

I went home. Chris had brought in the blue recliner and situated it in the living room. I had a bite to eat. Michelle and Casey came by with the stuff I bought at the sale. I opened the garage and we stored most of it. They stayed to chat. She helped me separate the conglomeration of shower hooks into packs of 12. Sadly there were only 47.

It was 9 by the time they left. Chris was playing a game on the computer. I heated tea and played my trombone. We watched one episode of SG1. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to place a last minute Swansons order because the sale ended at midnight.

Eureka

Wednesday

I got up around 7:30. I checked my texts, then started coffee morning. Instead of reading, I went to Mike's house to wash off the last of the bleach and to see that the spots were gone. Then I went to the garden to water the seedlings.

When I got back, I proceeded with the meditation and tapping. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen and watered the indoor and outdoor plants. Myra and Scott came over. They helped me carry the large mirror to the swap shop. We chatted a bit with Tonja and Rebecca who were rearranging things there.

When we got back, I got my purse and we climbed in their car. We went to a small town called Eureka that they passed through last night and wanted to see during the day. Most stores were closed. I could see in the windows that they were full of antiques, taxidermy, rocks, old mining equipment. The rock shop was open so we went in. The proprietress introduced herself as Crazy Mary.

We walked up and down the street, We visited the caboose car. Then we drove around, looking for a public bathroom. Such a small town. We investigated an unmarked road. Finally we headed back. I fell asleep in the back seat. I woke up before we got to the turnoff for Dugway. As we were going through the pass, Scott pulled into the campground just to see it. We used the facility there. We were surrounded by insect clicking. Isn't that what happens in horror movies right before the people get eaten alive?

When we got back to post, they took me home. They gave me the rest of their bundle of bottled water and sun screen. We hugged goodbye and they went to their hotel for the Wednesday spread.

I picked a pea pod from the plant in the front yard and ate it before any animal could get it. I checked out the sun's position on the far side of the house. I started reading e-mail. Chris came home from work, too late to go to Mass. He fixed himself supper. I listened to This Week with Mary and Polly. I worked on my blog.

We went to the headquarters building. Among other things, I saw Revonna's plants that she is storing during her move. I also saw SmartMan, a dummy used to test chemical suits. When we got home, I made tea and we watched the last two episodes of SG1 season 9. Michelle brought over two jars of goat milk. She asked to meet Myra. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up to find places to put the milk and to make up more supplements for the week, and check e-mail.

Out, out, darned spots

Tuesday

I got up after the 7:30 alarm. I got dressed and wanted to go to the garden but it was almost cold outside. I turned on my phone and played a message. I got a pen and paper to write the number down and phone had nothing. I could find no record of the message or the number.

I read e-mail, and emptied the dishwasher. I went to the garden to water, then went to Housing to get the number of the maintenance person who left the message. When I got home, he was waiting for me, oddly enough. He fixed the window while I watered outside.

Then I got ready for inspection. I went to Mike's house early. I emptied the trash and pulled off stuff stuck to the bottom of the trash bin. An inspector arrived and helped me move the oxygen tank to my trunk. Then the inspection proceeded. The house passed even through there were spots in the master tub. I promised to come back and work on them. I waited for them to finish their paperwork, then Colly and I figured out how to get the filing cabinet into the dumpster. Then we left. I came back with the pink stuff and put it on the spots.

I went home for breakfast. I laid out in the sun for a bit. I got ready to go to Mike's house to check on the spots. Saronna texted that she wasn't up for music today, so I thought I had an extra hour. But as I got in the car, Jamie called. I went back inside and we talked for half an hour. She said she tried everything to get the spots off of the tub. Then I again headed to Mike's house. But as I rounded the corner, I saw Revonna packing her car. I stopped to talk to her. She talked for half an hour, during which time the sun went through my shirt and burned my skin.

Finally I got to the house. I washed off the pink stuff and scrubbed. The spots were lighter. Then I poured some bleach on the lower ones and some vinegar on the upper ones. I went home to text the group about walking. I ate some cherries. Only Michelle replied.

So we met at the gym and walked almost an hour. Then we chatted some more until I could break away and go home for the quilt meeting. I signed into Zoom, but there was no response. So I figured maybe they stopped doing Zoom since they were now meeting in person. But while I was reading e-mail, the meeting came to life. I watched the speaker show off his quilts. He talked about them and the techniques he used, but the audio wasn't good and I couldn't make it out.

Finally Chris came home and I asked if he was going to the community meeting. He didn't know about it, but he decided to go as a show of support. I left the Zoom meeting and put on flip flops. We went to the gym and met the CSM who was going to lead the meeting. We chatted while waiting for people to show up. Michelle came with a pan of rice crispy treats. Then the four of us discussed having a 4th of July party at the pool. People walked in and out. Then one man had a suggestion to make, that the convenience store stay open for another half hour so the security guards could shop there. Their work hours and the shop hours are exactly the same. That discussion went on for some time.

After the meeting, Chris drove me to Tonja's house. I gave her receipts for her app. She sold me a set of shelves. Chris and Jeff took them apart and put them in the car while I talked with Tonja. I also gave her a certificate for a free nutrition counseling at Melanie's.

Then we went to Mike's house. I washed the bleach and vinegar off. The spots were almost gone. I poured some bleach on the upper spots and we left. When we got home, we each made our own supper. I made a salad and ate while reading e-mail and listening to a tapping video. Then I worked on my blog while Michelle kept texting me.

I made tea and we watched one episode of SG1. Chris went to bed but I stayed up later to catch up on e-mail.

Trip to the geode beds

Monday

I got up around 8, took the drops, drank hydrogen water and brushed my teeth. I watered the plants inside and out. I checked e-mail. One article said not to plant corn with tomatoes, nor legumes near onions.

I went to the company house to do a quick cleaning. Then I went to Mike's house to mop the last of the utility room floor. I took a look around to see if anything else was needed. The place smelled badly and I discovered that someone had forgotten to flush the toilet. I also washed the windows in the front screen door

Myra called to say they were coming over. I watered the garden, then went home. I unloaded cleaning supplies from my car. They arrived, and we chatted for a bit. They had just eaten breakfast. I put some food in a bag, plus apples. We got in Scott's rental car, went to the garden for digging stuff.

He drove down Pony Express, slowly, stopping to take pictures of wildlife and terrain. Then we stopped at the only outhouse on the road. No running water. There was a recreation of a pony express rest stop.

As we were nearing the destination, the sign said park here and walk the last two miles to the geode beds. That was news to us! We tried to drive it anyway, but the car didn't have enough clearance. So we stopped at a pit, and dug where others had dug before. No luck.

She and Chris found some sparkly rocks. Then we headed up the road, I was going to walk the two miles anyway since I don't plan to ever come back, but a truck came out from the beds and said it was too far to walk back with a bucket of rocks. We should have had a 4-wheeler.

Going back took just as long. And we made a few stops. At home, I jumped out to take a quick shower and head to the Junebug birthday party at Saronna's house. I had nothing to bring. Kids were playing with a pool, splashing each other. There were kids reading in the tent. I ate some beef hotdogs. The kids bobbed for apples, and I picked one out after they left. Then Saronna served cake and homemade ice cream. I read to some kids in the teant. Then the birthday kids opened presents in the living room. I stayed to talk to adults and borrow their Andromeda series .

As I headed home, I got pulled over for not stopping completely at the stop sign. But instead of asking for my ID, he said he knew I cleaned houses with Jamie and was very tired. So he gave me a verbal warning. I went home, and told Chris what happened. I got a handful of nuts to eat while working on my blog. Jamie stopped by and needed emotional support. We talked for almost an hour on the front porch. After she left, I went back to my blog. By the time I finished, there was only time for one episode of SG1.

Myra comes to visit

Sunday

I got up after 8, feeling unrested. I checked my phone for messages from Myra, and checked Facebook, but no dice. I got dressed and watered the plants outside. I made a batch of seed crackers and refilled several mixes. Then I sat down to read e-mail.

Around 11 I got a message that Scott and Myra were going to see the salt flats before they came to visit. So I went on with my usual Sunday schedule. I made breakfast at noon and then got dressed for church. I took my trombone and seed crackers to the chapel.

I arrived just about the same time as Saronna and Pastor Chris. She brought her daughter. I wished him a Happy Father's Day. Then Sgt King joined the discussion. Michelle showed up and we talked about the gospel for 90 minutes or more. Then Saronna, Sophia, and I played some hymns and the pastor said a prayer. We had some snack and all went home.

I checked my messages around 3 and got one saying they would be here in 90 minutes (an hour ago). So I cleaned in the kitchen and Chris worked on the dining room table. He went to the convenience store for beer and ran into them. So when he got home, he said they were going to check into their hotel and then would call and come over.

After a while, he started cooking supper. I took stuff from the hallway and put it away. I swept the floor. Chris set the table. I kept looking out the window until I saw them drive up. We both went outside to greet them.

She got a call and I indicated she should come it where it was quieter. After the call, we lined up in the kitchen to fill our plates, then sat at the diningroom table to share the meal. Chris had made rice, seasoned ground beef, mushrooms and toppings, including cheese.

After supper, we got in Chris' car and went to Five-Mile. Not too far away, it offered a nice view of the post. It sprinkled twice, but we didn't really get wet. Again, we had a nice chat. Then we came back, but going by Headquarters so Chris could point out a few things. When we got back to the house, we walked around the yard and talked about gophers. Then they went back to the hotel because it had been a very long day for them.

Chris and I put away the food. I sat down to write my blog and check on Jamie. Then I heated tea, and we watched two episodes of SG1. He went to bed soon after, and I stayed up reading e-mail.

Pool and game night

Saturday

I got up around 8. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. Jamie texted that she needed to drop stuff at the swap shop. So I ran over there and opened it. She was emotional about something so we talked about that for a bit. Then we carried Mike's stuff inside. I got a sponge and wiped down the dusty stuff. After a bit, she left.

I went to check my mail, and to give a forwarding address to the postal clerk. We ended up talking about the state of the world and the corruption. Then she went back to work, and I went to the company house to asses the situation. Only one bed was stripped and those sheets were in the washing machine. So I added some towels and turned it on.

Then I went to the garden. I hooked up a hose to the splitter. I adjusted the times on the timer. But since I don't trust it, I used the hose to water the newly planted stuff. Then I went home. I hunted down the 4 strips I cut from a graphic piece of fabric. I cut two more repeats and carefully pinned the 6 layers together, matching elements of the design. I made and ate breakfast while reading e-mail. It went longer than I intended.

Then I grabbed all my sewing stuff. Chris moved the machines to my trunk. I went to the chapel and parked. Sophia was already there, as was Tonja. Chris drove up and helped me unload the machines. We took them inside and I let Wilhelm plug them in.

I talked about fabric repeats. I showed them the strips and how they were pinned carefully together. Then I made some 60 degree cuts and let them sew the triangles together. I helped Wilhelm sew his. The others had at least one wrong seam to be taken out. But all the kids finished their project. Then Saronna and Tonja helped me clean up and carry stuff to the car.

Tonja went to see someone about the swap shop. Saronna went to water the apple tree with her kids. I went to the company house to throw the sheets in the dryer. Then I went home. Chris was getting t-bones ready for the oven. Jenni stopped by. I offered her a pickled egg since she won't be here next Sunday for the potluck. THEN, she tells me she wants the swap shop key. Tonja had texted that the door was unlocked so I passed that info along. Jenni left and I jotted notes for my blog. Michelle texted that we could have game night tonight. Tonja sent me pics from the class and I cropped them.

For supper, I had a t-bone, mushrooms and fried onions. I read e-mail as I ate. Michelle said she'd be at the pool, so at 6:30 I changed into a suit and met them there. We swam around in the deep end with float bars., conversing. It made an hour go by pretty quickly. Then we got out, toweled off and went home.

I sluiced off the chlorine and then changed into dry clothes. I packed up everything I wanted to give or return to Michelle. Then I went to the company house with the extra sheets. I made the one bed and stored the other sheets in the closet. There were some towels to sort out as well.

Then I headed to Michelle's house. The game was up and she was cutting and wrapping sections of rice crispy treats for Father's Day. I gave her the jars formerly filled with goat milk, and some goat cheese. I also gave her her next mission, which she chose to accept. Then I played the game, starting at an earlier save point, so I had to re-do some things. But I also got to open the green door in the right order. That gave me a whole new world to explore. And I did, but there wasn't much to do in that section. There was a puzzle of crystals, and I thought I solved it, but my solution was no good. Michelle looked it up on her phone and that solution worked, for whatever reason. Well, it gave me another lightbridge, for all the good it did.

It was just after 11, when I saved the game and quit. Casey carried the water out to my car. I thanked them and headed home. Chris was still up, reading in bed. I got ready and did my yoga flow, then went to bed and he turned off the light.

Getting the irrigation system up and running

Friday

I got up around 8. After the usual, I rinsed sprouts and carefully picked out the rotting hulls. I looked at videos on sewing windsocks. Should make a good class project. I watered the outdoor plants. Tower garden is now back in one piece. I planted microgreens.

I went to Mike's house to clean for half an hour. Nothing left but to mop floors. I did them all except the utility room since there is stuff that the DISH people have to pick up and that oxygen concentrator. Then I went by the post office for the mail.

I read e-mail, then made a late breakfast, listening to various vidoes. Chris came home from writing his sit-rep and ate pizza for lunch. We went to Tooele for groceries. I got certificates from Melanie's, good for a nutrition counseling session. We also stopped at the commissary and ordered sesame oil. We put the food away, then I read e-mail while listening to Mike Adams. I ate the rest of the barbecued meat with quinoa.

I went to the garden to plant the corn sprouts. I was also going to repair the hose to the timer and the soaker hoses. But I could not get the damaged hose end off. So I went home and got ready for game night. I put stuff for Michelle in a bag and set it by the water container. But then she texted that she wasn't home so game night was canceled.

Chris offered to go to the garden to repair the hose. So we took my car and I drove to the garden. He cut off the end of the hose, and replaced it with the new one we bought today. He turned on the water and we noticed the end connected to the timer was leaking. So he fixed that, too. Then we went to the gas station to fill up my tank. I drove home, turning at the road past the Headquarters building.

When we got home, I scraped up some of the home made ice cream. I figure it takes more effort to dig it out than the calories consumed. Then I posted to my blog and made tea and we watched two episodes of SG1. He went to bed and I stayed up till 11.

Finish one house and start another

Thursday

I got up after 7:30. I took the drops, got dressed, and folded the towels from the dryer. I rescued my comb from the oven where it was soaking in a bowl of ammonia water. It still wasn't as clean as I had hoped. I washed the cheese-making utensils. I rinsed the sprouts and checked my messages. It rained. I did some tapping to improve my mood. I washed the carrot sprouter and made up a week's worth of supplements.

At 10:15 I went to Mike's house to clean. Jamie came over to talk. We made a plan to get the house done and inspected by next Tuesday. At noon I went home for breakfast and watched The Highwire.

At 1:30 I stopped it and wrote a cleaning contract. I met the inspectors and the occupant in his apartment. We chatted and wrote down the appliance numbers. We all signed my contract and the inspectors contract. He gave me $175 and a key. We all left and I locked the door.

I went home to finish The Highwire. Then I went to 60B to check it out. I rolled the bins back to the curb. I found a few things inside that needed a quick wipe or a scrub. I put in new burner bowls, but the two large ones didn't fit. I went by Housing to ask for a quick inspection (because they won't be open again until Tuesday and by then the lawn will need mowing). They agreed. I went home for another set of large burner bowls. I went back to the house and put them in. The inspectors arrived and went through the house. They seemed satisfied.

I took the mail and went to the post office to turn it in since the occupant had left. It was literally the last second before they closed. Then I went to the swap shop down the hall to give Tonja my receipts. I stayed to chat and look around. Later her husband came in and wanted me to tell my husband about men that needed to use the laundry room.

Then I went to Housing to turn in the keys. I returned home to jot notes for my blog and rehydrate. I texted the occupant to put in a forwarding address. I posted to the community page about the stack-n-whack demonstration this Saturday. I made a salad for supper with a hardboiled egg. (I had to cook the first one I cracked because it WASN'T boiled. I ate while listening to a commentary on planned obsolescence. Apparently in the '50's influential men thought that the economy would be too slow if everything lasted a long time. What if those companies had to pay for the excess waste?

I posted to my blog. I made more flax/chia mix, Chris came home with a pizza. After he ate, I made tea and we watched two episodes of SG1. Then he went to bed and I stayed up to watch a relaxing video.

Suspicious car and goat cheese

Wednesday

I stayed in bed until after I heard Chris leave. I did not hear him take a shower, but that was because he went to the Army birthday party at 7 (a walk/run event). When I got up, it was raining so I figured it was rained out. I got started on coffee morning with the usual exercises, etc. Then, while I reading, he came home and took his shower and went back to work.

I finished my tapping and meditation. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. He came home again around lunch time with the mail, but did not stay. I took my shower, gave myself a haircut, and did some vacuuming, then checked my computer to see if anyone messaged me. I got caught up in reading e-mail.

The lady in charge of the company house e-mailed me that new people were coming in tonight, so I ran over there with extra sheets and changed the beds. I brought home all the dirty sheets. I went back to reading e-mail. I planted potatoes and did some watering.

I met Michelle at the gym for walking. She said Mickie needed a ride home so I ran Mickie home. Then we walked around several blocks. We went by the white car with the big black bumper. I've seen it parked in many different spots and there is always a guy sitting in it. So we called Dispatch. We worked out with weights till after 5. Dispatch called back to say the man was the supervisor for the construction workers who are tearing down the old schools.

I took Michelle home and we ran into Saronna. Michelle gave me a gallon of goat milk, burner bowls, some plastic tubs and keys. I rolled slowly down the street to where Saronna was and her daughter gave me a new Chillow. Then I went home.

The half gallon jars would not fit in my fridge, so I poured most of the milk into a black pot for making cheese. I saved some to feed the kefir grains and a little more to make fermented cheese. I turned on the burner and set the timer for stirring. I listened to a podcast on akashic records. I stirred the milk when the timer rang.

Michelle dropped by to try the new and improved cashew ice cream. She ate some and we discussed how it could be better, more scoopable. When Chris came home from Mass, she talked to him about feeding the people from NASA. During that conversation, the milk reached the cheesing point. I poured in some vinegar and we watched the curds form. I scooped them out into a sprouter cup which would let the whey drip out. The conversation continued until she finally went home.

I took the ice cream from the freezer and stirred it up well to incorporate the frozen stuff on the sides, then put it in the fridge. I worked on my blog and made tea. I drank several cups of warm whey while we watched two episodes of SG1. Later he went to bed and I stayed up to read Telegram messages.

New and improved cashew ice cream

Tuesday

I got up before 7:30, at the urgent call of Mother Nature. It was an overcast cool morning. I got ready for the day. I looked up Claudia Black who was in SG1 last night. I posted to Facebook looking for other musicians. I sewed a flap into my pocket necklace so the cards wouldn't fall out in my purse.

I had stuff to do outside, but there was no sun. So I went cleaning at Mike's from 10:30 to 12:30. During that time, I talked to Logan and then to Jamie. She brought me a gallon of cleaning vinegar to replace the one I gave her.

I came home for breakfast. Chris never came home for lunch. After eating, I went to Saronna's house to play music. Her kids tried to amuse themselves while we played, but there were plenty of interruptions. Then they were off to the pool.

I went home to get a letter ready for the mail. I dropped it at the post office, then went walking with Jenni and Tonja. Afterward, I attached Diane's hose to the spigot near my garden. It leaked like crazy, but enough water came from the nozzle that I could drench the planted parts. Then I went home and watered plants out front and in back.

I read e-mail, trying to catch up. I followed some tapping videos. Chris came home and made supper. I ate a salad with two hardboiled eggs. Then I took the 'ice cream' from the fridge. It was the perfect consistency for scooping. I chopped up cashews and blended them with two dates. Then I mixed that into the ice cream with a thawed banana. I also added cinnamon and vanilla and some coconut cream. I poured it back in the container to firm up.

I worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched two episodes of SG1. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to finish a podcast.

Cashew ice cream: not as good as I expected

Monday

I got up around 8. After the usual stuff, I blended up the cashews that soaked overnight with coconut milk, water and cocoa powder. I put it in the freezer to firm up before adding the salt.

I pulled out the jar of LAB and skimmed the cheese-like top off. I siphoned off the whey and put it in a jar marked LAB. I put some of the cheese in a small container for Michelle. Then I made margarita vinegar and left it to ferment in the pantry.

I went to Second street to meet Michelle. She showed me the sticky stuff on the bathroom door. I tried scrubbing it with different things, like rubbing alcohol, magic eraser, Murphy's oil soap, Goo Gone. But nothing would take it off.

Then I stopped by to see Saronna. We talked about watering the apple tree. Then I went home for lunch. I added salt to the ice cream which was still quite liquid. I watered the outdoor plants. After Chris went back to work, I got together stuff to plant in the garden, like sprouts and potatoes.

Once in the garden, I started planting corn and peas in one row and beet and radish seeds in the next row, alternating rows. Saronna and her kids showed up at her garden. I asked if her husband was making anything from snake skin and she said no. I told her about the snake and all the kids wanted to see it. I led them to the corner of my garden and Moira noticed that there were two heads. So two snakes. They smelled badly and were covered in flies. Saronna was kind enough to grab the netting that they were tangled it and carry them out into the field.

I attached the little hose to the spigot, but it leaked badly. I got enough water to wet down the planted rows. Then I went to Mike's house and cleaned the shelves and baseboards in the master closet.

From there, I went walking with Michelle, outside, starting at the gym. When we were nearly done, we ran into Brittany. She had something on her mind so we stood and they talked. It was too long for me and made my feet hurt. Then we walked back to gym and sat for a bit.

I went home, and made salad for supper. I listened to something as I ate. I knew Michelle was leading water aerobics at 6:30, so I went to pool. I was too tired to swim, plus the stench of chlorine was very strong. I sat on a bench and kind of mimicked her movements. Jenni and Heather were in the water doing the dance. I thought the motions were kind of suggestive. One song had bad words and it left me with a bad attitude. After half an hour, she took a break and everyone seemed to be done. I stayed around for a little conversation, then went home.

I pulled out the cashew ice cream from the freezer. It was quite hard. I started working on my blog and Faye called. So I talked to her as I scraped at the frozen block with a spoon. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be. Maybe next time I'll add a banana and some vanilla.

After the call, I worked on my blog again. Then I made tea and we watched SG1. I fell asleep during the second episode. Chris went to bed. Later I got up to turn the lights off and do my nightly routine.

No games today

Sunday

We got up after 8:30. I got ready for the day. I read about making cleaning vinegar. I learned how to make it from the bottle of margarita. I read e-mail for a bit, then made breakfast. I got ready for church, and put seed crackers in a container. Then I took my trombone and went to the chapel.

I walked in and said hi to Sgt. King. I set up my trombone as Pastor Chris arrived. We started talking and Jenni arrived, followed by Michelle. By then he was into discussing the signs of the end times. When he was done, we sang a few praise songs, then he preached from John about the physical beatings that Jesus was subjected to. He described it graphically over and over again until I told him it was enough. He finished his sermon and I played a few hymns on trombone.

Michelle was gone by then, and I didn't see her leave. I chatted with Jenni and Pastor Chris. We had some snacks, then walked outside. I noticed Sgt King's car was gone, so I went back and locked the doors.

I went home. I saw a message from Saronna saying she couldn't make it to chapel. I watched some gardening videos and DIG videos. I changed clothes, and we went to Michelle's house. She wanted Chris to meet a man who wants to run for a congressional spot being vacated. We all talked for a bit. Then she and he went to walk around Dugway.

Chris and I went to the garden, talking to Michele who had read an article about clothes not getting clean in the wash. At the garden, we discovered that we needed a pipe wrench to tighten a fitting. We went home for the wrench. I had to dash out to grab some plastic pots that the wind whipped off of the front porch and into the side yard. Then we went back to the garden and Chris tightened the fitting till it broke. It needed a washer and now a new end. I showed him the snake, thinking it was alive, but he showed me the underbelly which had a stab wound in it. Sigh.

We went home. We had leftovers and salad. I read some e-mail. I got some watermelon from the freezer. My laptop battery read 83%. I unplugged it and within a minute the whole thing crashed. I plugged it back in, but it would not go above 1%. I asked Chris to order me another battery. I worked on my blog.

We watched a LEGO movie. Then Chris went to bed. I stayed up later to read e-mail and listen to old songs.

Chased out of the pool by the daily storm

Saturday

I got up around 7:30. I got ready for the day. I brushed and swished. I went to the company house to get the bedding in the washer. Only one bed was stripped. I stripped the other two and washed all the sheets together.

When I got home, I watered outdoor plants. Then Chris gave me a massage. We talked about political issues for a bit, then he took his shower and I took mine. When I'd gotten dressed, I went to the company house to throw the sheets in the dryer and put the pillowcases and towels in the washer.

From there, I went to Mike's for 90 minutes, washing windows and dusting blinds, and some vacuuming. Then I went back to the company house. The washer wasn't done yet, so I spent 25min dressing two of the beds and dusting. One sheet was stained, so I brought it home to work on.

It was almost 1 when I got back. I put Oxyclean on the stain, then made and ate breakfast. I also perused e-mail. At three I went out looking for yard sales. Most were closed but Heather still had hers up. She introduced me to her mom and we chatted for some time. Then I went to the company house. I made the last bed and cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen and vacuumed the floors. Then I went to Mike's house to drop off the mop. But as long as I was there, I finished off two bedrooms and did some work in the master.

I went home and the house was empty. I read some e-mail and listened to a poscast on precious metals. I texted Michelle and agreed to meet her at the pool. So I finished my apple and put on my bathing suit. I drove to the gym and she and Casey pulled in beside me. We went to the pool, and I took a quick cold shower to get wet before entering. The pool was warm! I swam around in the shallows talking to Michelle who perched on the edge. Later Heather joined us. Then the sky got dark and it started to rain so we got out, dried off a little and went home.

I started to text Chris to see where he was, when he came through the front door. He had two chicken dinners from an impromptu barbecue he went to. He was full, but I ate most of one of the dinners after taking a shower to get the chlorine off. Then I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched two episodes of SG1. Then we made up the bed with clean sheets. Chris went to bed right away and I stayed up a little longer.

Chris returns

Friday

I got up around 7:30. I got myself ready for the day, then addressed the plants. I watered, and rearranged the tower garden. I went around the house getting it back to normal for Chris' arrival. I looked through my closet to see if I had any queen size sheets.

Before 10, I went to the garden to scatter diced grapefruit rinds. The water turnoff was leaking so I turned it off. Guess I'll have to go to the garden every day to water it. I was a little late getting to Mike's house. Jamie was already there, cleaning out the shed. I gave her her share of the money from cleaning Diane's house. We discussed some issues, then I went inside to clean the utility room and work on bedrooms upstairs. Just vacuuming made such a difference. I wished I had taken pics before I started. She left for awhile, and I saw some men come and take stuff from the dumpster. When she got back, she seemed surprised. We talked some more and I went home.

Chris was there, having just driven back from the airport. I made and ate breakfast. I posted to Facebook about having corn sprouts to give away, and wanting to play music with other like-minded people. Saronna and Randy came by to ask if I had an old hose for watering the apple tree. I was out of old hoses, but I had some soaker hoses that were just going to

get thrown away. They took them and I went back into the house.

And then we went to Tooele. We listened to the book on CD and I nearly fell asleep. We shopped at Luckey's and then I walked to Melanie's. They were out of coconut milk, so I got a can of coconut cream which I can dilute with frozen whey. Then we shopped at Macey's and went back to base. We stopped at the commissary for a few last things and went home.

Chris put most of the food away. He hardboiled more than a dozen eggs. One of them exploded. I read e-mail and snacked through supper time. I made a batch of seed crackers. I worked on my blog. I poured my tea into bottles for game night.

I went to Michelle's place with the water container and two bottles of tea. Casey had the game up. She and I chatted a bit, then I got started. I had three things on my game to-do list and I did all three. Then I got stuck. Michelle called up the relevant Youtube video and we watched the main character plug a panel into sparks coming up from the floor. Then a door opened. Well, when I tried it, nothing happened. We watched the video several times. We saw the character pry the panel off with a tuck, then plug the cord into the panel and into the hole with the sparks. But when we did it, the cord disappeared and the character refused to pry the panel off with the tusk. By then it was 11, and I decided we needed to start from a restore point next time.

Michelle carried the water out to my car. I drove home. Chris was in bed, so I turned off the router and did my nightly routine, then crawled in next to him.

Ah, watermelon!

Thursday

I got up before 8, having slept well. I took the flower essence drops, brushed my teeth, then made hydrogen water and took supplements. I watered plants outside and in. I planted some pea and corn and bean sprouts. I transplanted the tomato plant that was in the tower garden.

I wrote a check for a down payment on a cow. I threw out burner bowls that won't come clean. I took pic of the remaining sprouts for sharing. I checked Facebook messages, then parsed out supplements for the week.

I cleaned at Mike's house for 90 minutes, working in the dining room and putting vinegar-soaked paper towels in the toilets. Then I went home for breakfast and to watch The Highwire. I sat outside for a bit, but suddenly there was no sun. I went by the post office on my way to the school. I walked with Michelle who was on the phone most of the way. Then we stood by our cars and talked.

I went back to Mike's house for two hours. I took some of the clothes to the swap shop. Tonja was there, just closing up. Then I came home for supper. I made a salad, and listened to episode 10 from the inflammation summit.

I talked to Chris who was about to go to bed. I was looking for blueberries in the freezer and found a large baggie of watermelon! I ate frozen watermelon while working on my blog. I figured out from my blog that I worked 11.75 hours on Diane's house. I texted Jamie for her hours. When she responded, I worked out our hours and divided up the money to get an hourly rate. I wrote it all down and put her half of the cash in an envelop.

I read e-mail and watched a documentary. Then did my evening exercises, brushed my teeth, and went to bed.

Shampooing carpet is tiring!

Wednesday

I got up before my alarm went off. I turned on the CD player, then did my special exercises and drybrushing. I meditated and tapped and detoxed. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen, and washed dishes. I vacuumed, then took a shower.

I went to Diane's house for the final inspection. Then I went by the swap shop to drop off a vacuum wand and the post office for mail. Chris called to say hi before going to supper. I shampooed carpets all over the house. I took a whack at the upholstery on the couch. But it didn't seem to do much. I scrubbed sets of burner bowls that had been soaking in ammonia water for almost a week. The range filters were in there too, and released lots of grease.

I mowed enough of the front, side and back yards to say I did something so we won't get cited for grass that's too high. I was exhausted so I put an ice pack on my back and worked on my blog. I strapped on the freezy pack from Mike's freezer.

Around 8:45 Saronna and the kids came by to give me my Chillow back and offer me one of Randy's new chillows because the cap came off of mine. I thanked her but said I would just glue it shut. We chatted for a moment and she took the girls home.

I listened to an interview until time to go to bed. I miss SG1.

Signing for another house

Tuesday

I got up around 8, wondering why I never heard Reveille and the air purifier hadn't shut off yet. I took drops, brushed, watered plants and sprouts. I filled out a cleaning contract, then read e-mail.

At 10 I went to 60B. There was stuff out front and a mattress inside. I think the inspectors were telling the man that he couldn't just leave the stuff. But I told him that Jamie would take it to the swap shop. He was relieved. We all signed the papers and he took off. I called Jamie to come get the stuff. Then I took the vacuum he left and walked to my car.

I went to Diane's house to get my cleaning supplies, then I went to Mike's house to drop off some supplies. CJ called to say she was coming by with eggs so I went home. The eggs were already there so I didn't get to pay her. Then I went to the post office for mail, then dropped off some keys with Michelle. I went back to Mike's house and cleaned the fridge. After noon, I went home to make and eat breakfast. I also had pistachios and fruit and sunflower sprouts. Jamie called, so I ran down and opened the swap shop so she could drop off the stuff from the man's house this morning.

I went home to finish eating and checking e-mail. It rained something fierce, then stopped, then rained again. After the second rain, I put my trombone in the car and went to Saronna's house. We played off and on since her kids needed her attention for this and that.

When I left, I went to Mike's house and cleaned and sorted stuff until almost 7. While there, William called to ask if I had gotten a check for selling my part of Dad's house. Nope. But when I got home, an envelop was waiting for me. So I called him back. He put the call on speakerphone and I talked with Karen who said the atny made a mistake in the amount. He divided by 4 instead of 3.

I jotted notes for my blog before I forgot what happened earlier. I made a salad for supper. Karen called to say the attny felt terrible and was going to fix his mistake. Later Faye called to tell me the same thing. I listened to a few interviews and then the episode 9 of the inflammation summit.

Finishing up Diane's house

Monday

I got up around 7:30. Chris had already left. I did the usual first things. Sprouts are doing well. I watered the plants outside, finding out that I had forgotten to turn the hose off yesterday. The beds weren't flooded so all that water must have gone down a gopher hole. There were other holes I couldn't reach because my hoses weren't long enough.

I went to the library to drop off a DVD. I went to Diane's house to clean for 2 hours. I did the walls and baseboards and some vacuuming. I dropped my insulated box off at Mike's house and went home for breakfast.

I had a nice long breakfast while reading e-mail. I put a bandaid on my finger. Jamie came over for a contract. At 1:30 I went to get the mail, then over to Diane's house to finish vacuuming and mopping. It was hard on my back. I took most of my cleaning supplies home. Around 3, I went to Mike's house and put the condiments in the box and took them to Saronna. She gave me a flyer invitation to a birthday party in a couple weeks.

I went to the school and met Tonja. We walked towards Michelle's house and picked her up, so to speak. Then we walked around and back to Jenni's house and picked her up. We then walked up 5th street and down towards the gym. Michelle got a call and had to leave. The rest of us proceeded around and back to Jenni's house. I chatted with Tonja, then she and Jenni went to the gym to buy pool memberships.

I went home to rehydrate and rest my feet. They felt abused. Then I remembered Housing and went there to schedule an inspection for Diane's house and to get more cleaning contracts. I spent the rest of the afternoon at home on the internet.

Jenni was going to do water aerobics at 6:30, but there were raindrops and I didn't want to go anyway. So I stayed home. I emptied the three pots of dirt from my trunk to the compost pile. I jotted notes for my blog. I submitted my cleaning hours for May. I watched episode 9 from the Inflammation summit. I went to bed around 11.

Monday, June 5, 2023

Level up!

Sunday

I got up around 7:30. I took the new drops and rinsed sprouts and brushed. I listened to an episode from the Inflammation Summit. I watered all the plants. I made a batch of cheese squares with beet powder to make them red. Then Chris gave me a coconut oil massage.

While he took a shower, I laid out in the sun. Then I took my shower. I made and ate breakfast then got dressed for church. I took the cheese and my trombone and went to the chapel. I unlocked the door, went in and set up. I opened the door for Saronna. Then the traveling pastor arrived. A new guy came whose name I don't know. Then Michelle came.

We had no assistant to put the lyrics on the screen, so Michelle looked up the words to the songs on her phone. Saronna and I crowded around to see. As we sang the first song, John came in. After the second song, the pastor gave his sermon from the book of John (always the book of John). I showed the pastor the drenched package that was found outside the chapel yesterday. Then we split up into groups for chatting. After almost an hour, we broke up and went home.

I read e-mail for a bit, then watched Plandemic 3. Then I spent a little time outdoors before the family game. At 5 I signed in to Discord. We had a bit of a chat then delved into the world of the game:

We were beaten up from the last fight, so we went to the professors house to rest up. We went back to the prison and investigated the next hall. One room had a winch in it to raise the portcullis. The other room had skulls in it and then a ghost appeared. We spent the whole session fighting for our lives, and we prevailed. Four ghosts down and one to go. We also picked up some weapons and potions. We got enough experience points to level up.

I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of SG1. Chris packed for his trip. We made up the bed with clean sheets. He went to bed and I stayed up till almost midnight watching a video.

Rain, rain, go away

Saturday

I stayed in bed till 8, awake but ruminating. I got up to rinse sprouts, take supplements, etc. watered the plants outside. I read some e-mail, then got my plants ready to go. I also grabbed the cheese squares and a plastic tablecloth.

I went to the garden and spread the tablecloth. Saronna's family was in their car. They got out when I arrived. I had trouble opening the cloth because of something sticky. So I put the plants there and the food at the other end. I had sweet potato sprouts, sprouted white potatoes, and corn sprouts to share.

The CSM came with food and Jenni had fruit, and Michelle brought sandwiches, ice cream, and leftover snacks from the party yesterday. Erin brought egg and cheese casseroles. There were also biscuits and croissants. People ate, then worked in their gardens.

Did I mention that it rained on us? But nobody left. We just hung out trying to keep the food dry until it was over. Chris said it wasn't really rain. Someone handed me an umbrella. Afterward, I talked to Saronna and Randy in their garden and pulled a few of their weeds to add to mine. When I realized it was noon, I headed home to make my sewing project.

I scraped together a variety of elastic. I cut and sewed and made a bookmark. Then I made a light breakfast after having eaten sandwiches and stuff at the garden. I listened to an interview, then realized how late it was.

I asked Chris to load the machines in my car. I packed the bags of fabric and notions. We went to the chapel and he unloaded the machines for me. I started setting up in the fellowship hall. Sophia was first in. She and her brother helped set up the machines. Her sister wasn't feeling well. I helped them all cut, then helped Wilhelm do the sewing. He is learned gradually to do more of the process.

I took pics of each student as they finished. Then the whole family helped me pack up and carry the machines out to the car. Wilhelm lost his elastic bookmark. I suspected I had it because he used the same fabric and elastic that I did. He was so happy that his matched his mother's pouch.

They followed me home. I gave her the hose winder with 100ft hose and a splitter and a hose to reach from the faucet to the hose winder. They are going to set it up to water the apple tree and pear tree. Then they left and I helped Chris unpack my car.

I read for a bit, then went to the garden. I planted corn sprouts and sweet potato vines and some white potatoes. I forgot my trowel so I dug with a pair of scissors. When I watered it all down, I realized that I wasn't alone: a gopher snake was hanging out in the corner.

I went home, seeing dark clouds appear. I read e-mail for awhile, then went to the pool. Casey was already in so I swam and talked to him for a bit, then Michelle got in. I wore myself out swimming around while she talked. Finally the life guards called time. The water was warm, but getting out into the wind was cold.

When I got home, I wrapped myself in a dry towel. I helped Chris fold the laundry. Then I changed into a nightgown. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched the last two episodes of season 8, missing some of the last one because of scratches on the DVD.

Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up too late listening to an interview with Dr. Bahkdi.

The party and game night

Friday

We got up before 8. I did the usual and rinsed sprouts. I watered all the plants, indoors and out. I made a shopping list and decided that the commissary had everything I needed so we didn't have to drive to Tooele this week. Instead I went to Diane's house to clean. Later Jamie came over as well. I worked in the utility room and the dining room.

After 2 hours, I went to 610 to clear out more stuff from the fridge. I took what fit in my insulated box and went home for breakfast. I took items out of the box and either put them in my fridge or threw them in the trash. The salad went in the compost pile. I also brought home the range filters. I put them in the container with the burner bowls and added more boiling water and ammonia.

I ate breakfast while reading e-mail and listening to videos. I made a batch of cheese squares from the cheese and eggs in the 610 fridge. I changed into nicer clothes and went to Michelle's house where Melanie and Sheila were having a spa day.

Sheila provided magnesium foot baths for each person. Melanie was doing Bach Flower essences, and Michelle put out snacks and ice cream (in part because of Jenni's birthday). We had a fantastic time. Sheila really went all the way with foot scrubbers and samples of magnesium spray and foot butter. Everyone agreed that we would like to do it again.

I stayed to talk after everyone left. Then we agreed that we needed to go to the commissary. She went and I drove home to get Chris and the list. He was cooking steak and mushrooms. I had a few shrooms, then we went shopping. We ran into Saronna and the kids shopping for tomorrow. When we got home, I ate steak with leftover rice. I read e-mail. I learned the following from a short video:

Human beings create only 3% of the 0.04% of the world's atmosphere which is carbon dioxide. Even if human beings reached 0%, what good would that do? And the harm caused by the efforts to reduce to 0% are enormous.

I got ready for Game Night. Then around 8:30, I drove to Michelle's house. Casey had the game up. I had been waiting all week for this and then couldn't remember what new things I wanted to try. I went to the water, and the sea monster ate a creepy crawly and spit out the bones. The puzzle was to reassemble the bones. Michelle searched for a pic and I followed it but nothing happened. I changed a few that seemed interchangeable, but that didn't work either. She called up some videos that addressed the subject, but each time the video ended with the player falling and saying bad words. It was actually kind of funny. But why would you upload a video of yourself failing to solve a puzzle?

Finally she found a video of someone playing. I was able to get it then, and I followed the video going forward, sort of. Not as much fun that way, but also not as much frustration. At 11, Casey filled the water container and took it out to my car. I thanked him and went home. Chris was still up. I just went to bed and he followed.
