Mouse invasion

Monday

I was awake late trying to digest the oily vegetables. But I did not wake to use the bathroom after that. I got up about 8:15. I passed out water to those that needed it. I looked up vermicompost on Ebay, but some sellers were measuring by weight and others by volume. It was tough to compare.

I started listening to an interview. Then Casey stopped by to get the milk jars. I had to empty one and rinse it out to give him. Then I started washing dishes and realized the interview was still playing. Unfortunately it was not one that could be rewound. I had to start it all over again. I resumed washing dishes until Jamie called. I paused the interview to talk to her. She said mice had gotten into the apartment and shredded toilet paper and paper towels all over. And there were droppings everywhere.

I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail, then worked on the compost pile. Then there was more e-mail. I clipped some sweet potato cuttings to root for the new chaplain's wife when she gets here. I fertilized the lawn with LAB.

We ate supper: ground beef and goat cheese and carrots and peppers and tomatoes. I went through my telegram messages. We brought in the sweet potato plant and the tomato seedlings after looking at the weather report.

I made tea and posted to my blog. We watched four episodes of Gomer Pyle. We went to bed early, but I got up later to shut everything off.

The party

Sunday

We slept in late, after waking up to quite the rainstorm last night and the gusting wind.

I looked up a recipe for liquid laundry detergent. I tried to find prices for the ingredients online but every site had a different price, like $5 vs $10. So I looked up the stores we shop at, but there were no prices listed.

I watched a short video of the Pfizer CEO talking about their 5-year goals: “One of them was by 2023 to reduce the number of people * in the world by 50%. I think today the dream is becoming reality”. The WEF (World Economic Forum) applauded. (Another video shows that the phrase “who cannot afford our medicines” was left out).

I read e-mail. I found my last roll of chicken wire in the front hall. I talked to Michele, who is in Richmond for her birthday. I made and ate breakfast. I washed up and got dressed for church, something easy to play in. Chris took a shower and got dressed. There was no gaming because most players were doing something else this weekend.

We went to the chapel. Not knowing how many people were coming, I brought a second snack, but left it in my bag. I put the mint muffins on the front table. I told the chaplain's assistant what our plan was for playing hymns. Then I set up the music stands. Saronna came with her oldest daughter. We chatted with the guest pastor. When we figured no one else was coming, Saronna and I played our first hymn, We Gather Together. We also played two suggestions we got from the congregation (Chris, Jenni and Rick). Then the pastor had an opening prayer and preached from the 8th chapter of John. Afterward, Saronna and I played The Star Spangled Banner while the others sang. I could only do one verse because it went so high.

Afterward, we chatted and had mint muffins. Not my favorite flavoring as it turns out, but the nuts were a hit. When we got home, I tried a muffin with goat cheese, but that combination fell flat.

I changed my clothes and picked out plants to take to the garden, leaving the hot weather plants behind. I took a coat because of the wind there. I planted melons (I think) with mycorrhizae and sardines. I spread some LAB water on them.

Then I went to the gym to meet Michelle. She wasn't there but I worked out anyway. At 5 I went home to wash up and change clothes. I called Michelle and Chris, but did not get either of them. So I drove to Michelle's house. She introduced me to Luke, who was from her martial arts class. I chatted with them and then Chris arrived. After some more conversation, we all sat at the table. Casey had cooked Korean food. Luke said the blessing. Then we passed around the dishes and ate.

The Lands stopped by. Michelle offered them food. When supper was over, she brought out two cakes. Almost everybody had some, most had seconds. Heather and Jenni came by and had cake too. We sat around the table telling funny stories. We had a good time, but around 9, we stood up to say our goodbyes. Chris left, but I got caught up again. Finally I said I had to go, and Jenni asked for a ride home. So I dropped her off at her house and went home.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Gomer Pyle. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to read Telegram messages and work on my blog.

Help with housecleaning and outdoor chores

Saturday

I woke up in the middle of the night hearing the wind howl and worrying about the outdoor plants. It was depressing so we stayed in bed until 8:30. I took some probiotics, then watered the plants and worms. I washed two bowls for tomorrow. I dressed and went to the post office to collect a package. There was a sign about the floor being flooded. I walked around back, spit out the toothpaste I was swishing, and went in the rear door. I walked to the desk and the clerk gave me a package. I looked at the front floor and did not see water except for a puddle. So I took the package out the front to where my car was. When I got home, I told Chris about the sign and he wanted to know why I didn't tell him about it last night when we stopped at the post office.

Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. I took a shower after he did, then made and ate breakfast. I threw some cleaning supplies into my car and went to the house on first street. Meredith was just walking up as I unlocked the door. We discovered that only one bed had been slept in and the sheets were in the washer. I went to get the laundry soap and the bottle was empty. Apparently it had leaked all over the floor then dried up. Maybe a milk jug just isn't tough enough for the job. Once the sheets were in the process of washing, I started in the kitchen and she started in the back bathroom. An hour and a half later, I was still in the kitchen and she had mostly finished the rest of the house. The washer finished and I put the sheets in the dryer. We found clean sheets for the unmade bed and fixed it up. Then we finished the house, and folded the newly dried sheets.

Then we went to my house. She helped me build the tower garden and fill it with dirt. Then she used the weedeater until 5 while I picked up stones left behind by gophers. I paid her for 4 hours and drove her to the gym to meet her mom. I went home. I had a bite to eat for supper and read e-mail. I used the weedeater on some dandelion stems, then put it away. I went to the chapel to let Saronna bring Jonah (her string bass) in for Sunday morning. We spent an hour talking so it was after 8 till I got home

I sat down to write my blog post. I made tea and we watched four episodes of Gomer Pyle. I read e-mail for awhile, then put away my laundry and helped Chris put clean sheets on the bed. Then we both retired for the evening.

Chris' Birthday

Friday

I woke up early and went back to sleep. I got up after 8. I brushed and swished, then watered. We took the sweet potato and peppers outside, still in their respective bags from last year.

I read e-mail, then went outside to read, but started working on the yard instead. I flattened mounds, filled holes, and picked up stones. I started getting sun burnt, so I came in and read.

I made breakfast, and added to the grocery list. Chris took a shower and got dressed. Then we went to Tooele, finished the old book on CD and starting the new one.

We shopped for groceries. Then we got food at a Korean restaurant called CupBop. Due to the traffic layout, we had a hard time getting back on the road. I ate my bowl of food with chopsticks, then used them to feed Chris on the way home. It seemed romantic to me.

We stopped at the post office. There was a yellow slip in our box. We took the groceries home. I finished my bowl of food, and read e-mail. I planted seeds in the flowerbed, and watered the lawn.

I talked to Faye for some time. Then I downloaded pics from my camera and cropped them. I wrote my blog post, and made tea. We watched 4 episodes of Gomer Pyle. I fell asleep on the 4th episode, so I went to bed after that.

Opening Day at the Pool

Thursday

The ringing in my ears was really loud, both when I went to bed and when I got up. I realized later that I had left the salt lamp on which was just on the other side of the wall from the head of our bed. Also, my right hand was really sore and I resolved to use it less. Ha!

I watered the plants and worms. I mended a pile of clothes Chris left on my sewing table. One shirt I could find nothing wrong, but one pair of jeans needed so many patches that I concluded it had reached the end of its life. I mended all the socks.

I read outside with my feet in the grass. I cleaned up the front porch, and raised plants out of the way of land-bound critters. I found the water splitter and put it in the car. I listened to an interview: What's not in VAERS is the number of traffic accidents due to medical events (highest in 16 years). Monkey pox spreads from sores, so not from asymptomatic people. Tincture of pitcher plant is supposed to help.

Chris came home and changed clothes. I made breakfast and listened to The Highwire. Chris went to the pool, then hours later, came back with pizza and ate two pieces, before going back to the pool.

I made cheese with the remaining jar of milk, but the curds sank. I looked it up, then strained it painstakingly and came up with a nice ball of cheese. Before curdling it, I added some of it to the whey ferments. What I learned: have a clean bowl to rest utensils in, use the freshest milk, heat it very slowly, uses both sprouters and the small tea sieve, large pot and thermometer, temp MUST be 180!

I went to the gym and talked to the staff until Diane showed up. We went walking on the indoor track because it was so hot outside. Then Michelle joined us for awhile. When Diane had to go back to work, we all left. Michelle and I walked to the chapel. I asked the assistant if Saronna and I could play for the service. He was highly in favor of it. I picked a weed that looked like wild lettuce growing beside the sanctuary. I nibbled it to see if it was edible.

Then we went back to the gym. I went home to get some sweet potato sprouts. Chris stopped in to change clothes. He said the weed was wild lettuce. I went to the library to get another season of Cheers, but it was closed. I went to the gym (home of the pool). Melissa (from the library) was there handing out books. She said she'd get DVD's to me. I gave the sprouts to Anthony. I talked to Meredith about helping me clean house on Saturday. Then I sat and chatted with Diane and Michelle. It was after 6 when we left. The DVD was waiting on the porch. I read e-mail and ate supper. A little after 7, I went to the garden. Diane was there. I planted peas and something else. Michelle and Casey came. I talked with Michelle about ideas for Chris' birthday, then went home.

I made tea and we watched Gomer Pyle. We talked about what Chris wants for his birthday, then went to bed early. Later I got up and turned everything off, and went back to bed.

Ambassador to Figi?

Wednesday

I prepared for coffee morning. In the middle of exercising, I remembered the plants and watered them. After finishing tapping and meditation, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. Chris came home for lunch. He gave me a pool pass. The opening day is tomorrow. I vacuumed, and mopped. He left.

I put on a suit and sat in the sun, reading. Later I took a shower, then read e-mail. At 3:30 I went to the school. I saw the chaplain's assistant's car was in the parking lot. I called on Jenni, then Diane showed up. We walked a different block.

Afterward, I went home. I watered the flowerbeds and gopher holes. No gophers appeared. I finished listening to Mary and Polly. Chris called and asked if I had a key to the chapel. So I went over there to deliver it. But by the time I got there, someone else had opened the door.

I went to the garden at 7, probably just before Chris got home from Mass. I buried the last two drip lines, and dug weeds from the pathway. When my irrigation system came on, a tiny geyser erupted from the woodchips above one line. Sigh.

I got home just after 8. Chris told me that his sister was nominated for ambassador to Figi. We both hope she gets confirmed. I posted to my blog, then made tea. We watched four episodes of Gomer Pyle. He went to bed, but I stayed up later than I should have to read e-mail.

Trying some new things

Tuesday

I did not hear reveille or my phone alarm. I watered all those life forms around the house that need water. I read e-mail until breakfast. I made muffins, adding powdered mint for flavoring. I spiked two jars of whey with probiotics to see if they make different flavors of cheese.

At 2:30, I took my trombone and a hymnal over to Saronna's house. We chatted and played for over an hour. The lad never showed up. I asked Saronna if she could play with me on Sunday if the chaplain's assistant was still out.

I called David about making a pillow from a pillowtop that his mother made. I drained and dried a can of chick peas. I pulled the skins off, then mixed them with oil and spices and popped them in the oven for close to an hour. I covered citrus rinds with rubbing alcohol and set them aside to make a tincture. I measured out 4 oz of goat chesse and put it in a container to take a pic. But it was all dried out from sitting in the sprouter.

I listened to interviews online. I pulled the crispy chick peas from the oven. The largest ones were too mealy, but the smaller ones were just right. Chris came home and helped me eat them.

The CSM came to get her skirt. She promised to pay me later. I listened to more interviews. Then I went to the garden. I buried two more drip lines, and added fertilized water. I also fertilized the pear tree, apple tree and lilac tree on 1st street.

I got home around 8. I posted to my blog, made tea, and we watched Cheers. Chris went to bed first and I went later.

Baiting gophers

Monday

I slept rather well. I got up when Reveille played because I heard my 7:30 alarm go off at the same time. I guess they are still working on the system. I watered the plants and worms. I killed one moth but struck out on two. I read e-mail and Telegram messages. I watched some short interviews. I worked on cleaning parts and reassembling the trombone valve. A man came by to bait the gophers.

I made the dry part of my breakfast, then went to meet CJ. I dropped a card in the mail on the way. We met at her boss' house. She showed me how she baits gopher tunnels with poison and he showed us all the pictures that he's drawn. He is very good and obviously into the fantasy genre. Then I followed CJ to her office to get two dozen eggs.

From there I went home. Chris was there on the phone. I finished making breakfast and listened to an interview on high tech food: all the things they can do to it and all the things it can do to those who eat it. Chris went back to work.

After the interview, I finished assembling the valve and re-strung it, watching several videos to get it right. I played the horn and it seemed to be back to normal. The video said to re-string every six months, but my trombone is 40 years old and I have never done it before.

Then I went to the school carnival to help out. I could not find it, so I came home and texted Jenni. She said it was over already. I read e-mail until it was time to walk. We walked around the block, stopping several times to talk to people who drove by. We talked about possible community activities.

Then I went to the library to get a new book on CD because the current one is almost done. When I got home, I continued listening to an interview. Chris came home and cooked ground beef. I ate supper.

I repotted 6 petunias, and put vegetable seedlings out to harden. I went to the garden and scatter tomato seed from last year. I checked the irrigation lines and buried 3 drip lines. I went to the gas station to fill up, then returned home. I posted to my blog and made tea. We watched 4 episodes of Cheers. I did not hear Taps played at 10. Later Chris went to bed, and even later, I went to bed.

Playing in church

Sunday

We got up around 7:30 or so. I brushed my teeth, then watered the worms and plants. I checked e-mail, then readied a birthday card for Michele. I took supplements on schedule. I heated goat milk and strained out the curds. I got app 7 oz of cheese.

Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. He showered and then I did. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I picked up the banana-oatmeal cookies and my trombone and went to the chapel.

I found the door open. Only the guest pastor was there. We talked for a bit until others had shown up. Then he prayed and I played three hymns on my trombone. He preached from the 7th chapter of John. I played one more hymn and the service was over. We stood around talking and eating cookies. I got to hold Saronna's baby.

I went home. Chris unzipped my dress and I changed clothes. I read e-mail for awhile and picked clipped threads from the CSM's skirt. I also looked up prices for goat cheese to figure out what I should charge.

I met the ladies at the school. We walked around the block and talked. Then Diane and Jenni went home. Michelle and I went to the sauna at the gym. We talked until the temp went up to 200. We got out and talked in the changing room. Then she showed me the colonel's new toy: a weightlifting platform. It seemed like a repetitious thing in a gym full of weight machines. Then she and I went outside to sit on a bench since the gym was closing.

We talked for some time and then I took her home. She gave me a burgundy pillow from the extras her store had gotten in. Then I went home for supper. Chris and I folded laundry. I mended his sock. I read e-mail and listened to an interview.

I wrote a blog post. I made tea. We watched 4 episodes of Cheers. I nodded off during the last one. We dressed the bed with clean sheets and called it a night.

The Zoo

Saturday

I woke up at 7. Chris was still sleeping. I got up to water the plants and worms. It was cold outside. We had a discussion. He made coffee while I packed myself a lunch.

It was after 8 when we left for the zoo in Salt Lake City, and almost 10 when we arrived. We greeted people from Dugway and other places that set up booths under the pavillion. It was cold in the shade. All organizations were giving stuff away. One was a pharma company offering junk food. Uh huh.

We spent hours wandering from one habitat to another, see land and sea creatures. The air fowl all seemed to be down with avian flu. I was disappointed that there were no velociraptors. AND, I wanted to ride in a bubble car. If you watched Jurassic Park III, you know of what I speak.

After taking lots of pics, we went back to the pavillion to say goodbye. Several of our friends had just shown up. I saw Jenni coming in the front gate, having trouble with her ticket. She had a veggie platter and wanted us to sit and eat lunch with her. But I had brought a snack and eaten most of it.

Chris got the name of a music store in town and I called it to see if they had trombone valve parts. They did not. We went home by way of Tooele for groceries I forgot to put on the list yesterday. We listened to the book on CD going back to the base. We stopped at the post office, but there was nothing to write home about.

I snacked, and read e-mail. I checked the fermenting peels outside. I scooped them out and put them in the compost pile. I disassembled the valve of my trombone. It had a buildup of minerals so I soaked it in vinegar. Not surprising after 40 years. I watched videos of how to take it apart and put it back together, plus how to restring it. Chris thought I should take it to an expert in SLC.

Chris cooked steak. I ate part of it and read more e-mail. I watched news videos. I checked out the dimensions of wall o water to see if I could make one. But it seemed just as cheap to by it as to make it out of a shower curtain.

I downloaded dozens of photos and cropped them. I posted to my blog and made tea and we watched episodes of Cheers. We stayed up on our laptops. I was the first to shut down, but he got to bed before I finished my bedtime routine.

Best trip to the dentist

Friday

I used my headphones to go to sleep. Chris got up early but I slept through it. I woke up around 7. He took a shower and headed out. I got up to water everything. Then I worked on the CSM's skirt. I finished the seams and hems, then did some pressing. She knows it will need professional pressing.

About 9:30 I remembered that there is a garden event at 10. So I got dressed. I was a little late, but Diane was just arriving as I got there. It seemed a lot colder and windier there. Mindy suggested raking, so I did. But soon I had to go home and get a heavier coat, scarf and gloves. Then I was fine. But Diane got cold and had to leave. So it was just Mindy and I. Her husband got a mower from SelfHelp to mow one garden and pathways between gardens. By 11:30 we were tired. Besides, the next step, laying down cardboard and wood chips, needed more people.

I was home by noon. I made and ate breakfast. Chris came home, packed the cooler. I changed my clothes and we left for Tooele. Mindy had said it was snowing in Tooele, but it had stopped by the time we got there. After listening to the book on CD for 50 minutes, he dropped me off at the dentist office. They took x-rays, cleaned my teeth, measured the gum pockets. I waited then for the dentist. He checked my teeth and gave me a good report. I checked out and left the office.

Chris was waiting for me, having shopped at Luckey's and Macey's. We went to Melanie's. He sat in the car while I shopped and chatted. The clerk told me she used peppermint oil on a cottonball to keep the gophers out of her tomatoes.

Then we went to Cal Ranch. I wanted to buy wall'o'waters, which surround small tomato plants and protect them from frost. But I didn't find any. I DID find a birthday card for Michele. Then we listened to the CD on the way home. One chapter talked about Pol Pot and his trying to remake society as he thought it should be. It was a brutal regime and obviously didn't work. Is that what the WEF is doing now?

When we got back to base, we stopped at the post office. I headed in for mail, but had to stop and remove several dozen goat head thorns from each shoe. I went in to find only one piece of mail, probably a missive for money. Then we went home, unloaded the groceries, and put them away. I texted my friends to see if they wanted to go walking, but no.

Chris cooked me some fish. I tried to catch up on e-mail. I ate supper. We had a discussion about going to the zoo tomorrow. He wanted me to go with him, early. I didn't think it was worth getting up early. I did some tapping. I made tea. We talked some more. Then we watched Cheers. He went right to bed. I stayed up to watch videos on how to fix a trombone trigger valve.

Leaf mold tea

Thursday

I woke up early and used the mp3 headphones to go back to sleep. That didn't work but it did blunt the sound of Reveille at 6:30. Chris got up early to work out with the colonel, so he came back late and did not leave until after 7:30. I got up to water the plants and worms. Then I got dressed and took 2 jugs of water over to the apple tree and the pear tree. I should have brought one for the lilac.

I jotted notes for my blog. I took a scoop of probiotic, I called the post office, but the number was always busy. I worked on the CSM's skirt. I re-basted and took out all the excess stitching. I texted her about coming for a fitting. I potted a plant that someone gave me in a baggie. I also found gopher holes for the remaining eggs. I finished a podcast from yesterday.

I called the post office for the upteenth time. When the phone was busy again, I walked down there and give them a tracking number for a package that came last week but the number on it was illegible. I brought the tomato seedlings in because they were getting wind damaged.

I made breakfast and watched The Highwire. I paused it when the CSM came over for her fitting at 2. It went well, She went off to the garden. I finished The Highwire. I cleaned out Telegram messages. I put together a Swanson's order. I put some small potatoes in a pot to boil. All the potatoes in the bag were sprouting and it seemed like a nice addition to our first garden meeting.

I texted back and forth with Michelle. I looked up my recipe for leaf mold tea. I made a 'tea bag' out of cheese cloth. Chris came home while I was sewing. He had a change of plans for tomorrow (which is good since I did not want to drive myself to Tooele.) I used a hanger to support the bag of 'tea' and the bag of boiled potato. I submerged both bags in the bucket of water and squeezed them as instructed. It was so windy out that I came in as quickly as I could.

Then Chris and I went to the garden so he could offload the 40lb bag of steer manure in my trunk. We were going to fix the irrigation system too, but again, it was too windy. I made tea and we watched Cheers. By the time we went to bed, the wind had died down.

* As shown on the graph, the efficacy of the shots in kids starts at 60%, but within 5 months goes BELOW zero, that means those vaccinated kids are now MORE likely to get infected than the control goup who didn't get jabbed.

Clearly, I didn't think it through

Wednesday

I prepared for coffee morning with coffee, supplements and exercises. During a 10 minute lull, I went outside to fill a 5 gallon bucket with water. However, on a whim I directed the hose at a gopher hole near my feet. Up popped a gopher in a hole a foot away. I put the bucket over him and he reappeared in the hole I was watering. I caught him in the bucket, then realized I had no plan. I couldn't fill the bucket with water or he would drown. And I refused to let him go. He was wet and shivering. I called Chris' office, but he wasn't there. I told his secretary and she sent people who came and took it away. They brought my bucket back empty. I did not ask what happened to it. I filled the bucket with water. I filled in the holes with cracked eggs and dirt. Then I finished coffee morning.

I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms. I read outside in a bathing suit. I found a dessicated gopher next to the house, and a drowned one in the fermentation bucket. Then I showered and dressed. I did some vacuuming. At 3:30 I went to the gym. I don't know why they wanted to walk inside rather than outside. I joined Diane and Michelle in walking the track. Jenni came later and finished early. She and Diane left and I continued to walk with Michelle.

On my way home, I stopped by SelfHelp for 3 bags of softner salt. The man loaded them in my trunk. Then I went to the garden. Immediately I felt like my head was covered in tiny bugs. I dug in the wood chips to pour spiked water on the soil and then bury the irrigation lines in wood chips. I only did two lines. I turned on the water and discovered a leak. I tried to fix it, but clearly did not understand how it work. I packed up and went home.

I called Consumer Cellular about the fact that when I check my voice messages, I have to dial in 3 or 4 times because it won't accept my passwork. She said it was because I had a 3G phone. But just in case, she reset my account. I shut down my phone, then restarted it. I dialed in and it still told me my password was incorrect. After 4 tries, I was able to get in. Sigh. I mowed dandelions with the weedwhacker attachment on the mower. It took a loooooong time because the string was so short. But I don't think they'll be back right away. The lawn looked like a dandelion massacre.

Chris came home from chapel while I was putting up the mower. He ate his supper and I wrote a blog post, then deleted e-mail. I made tea and we watched 4 episodes of Cheers. Then he went to bed and I stayed up trying to catch up on e-mail.

* I put a cabbage heart in a saucer of water and it bloomed! *

The Townhall

Tuesday

I watered the plants and worms. I noticed some seeds have sprouted. I worked on the CSM's skirt, ripping out stitches and basting new side seams. I texted her, and she came over right away. She tried on the skirt and we talked about the fit. We continued talking after the fitting. When she left, I whipped up cheese sticks (with mustard flavor), seed crackers, and banana oatmeal cookies.

I took stuff out to the compost pile and turned it over. When I came in, Chris was in the kitchen. I was surprised because I thought it was a lot earlier. I made and ate breakfast. I read some e-mail and listened to short audios. I went to Saronna's house to play. We did a lot of chatting first. Then we played stuff from several books. Wyatt never showed up.

I packed up and went to the gym. I walked the track with Diane for half an hour or more. We had fun conversations. Then I went to the garden. I tacked down the irrigation system. I covered the fermenting grass. I pulled weeds. I placed a leaky water jug by the kale plant.

I went home. I put batteries in the irrigation timer and programmed it. I put it in my car for later. I drove to the library. I turned in Cheers and Carol Burnett. I checked out the next season of Cheers and Gomer Pyle. Then I conversed with Melissa for awhile.

I went home to have a bite to eat. Chris had the same idea. I also changed my clothes and collected more cheese curds from the LAB. I put some in a container for Ravanna. I grabbed some seeds for Diane.

Then we went to the headquarters building for the townhall. I chatted with people in the audience while Chris sat up front with the commander and the CSM. The town hall went well. Everything that was said reinforced the idea that the command team is doing all they can to make this a better place to live. The commissary talked about how they were fighting supply chain issues. There was more chatting afterward. I gave the seed packets to Diane. The commander put stuff for the swap shop by our car. Then I waited while Chris chatted with another lady. I waited again while he e-mailed something from his office. Then we went home.

I had another bite to eat, we watched the sprinklers come on for the first time, then worked on my blog. It was almost 9. I also replied to Dzynetech who wants me to resume cleaning their house and apartment in June.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of Gomer Pyle. Soon Chris went to bed, and though I stayed up a little later, I went there too.

A busy day of seeing new sites

Monday

I woke up to use the bathroom, then was sleeping again when his alarm went off. I was dreaming of Mom when I realized Chris was gone and I needed to get up. I brushed my teeth, watered all the plants, took prodiotics, and juiced a lemon. I watered the worms but some were already dried out. I harvested some cheese curds.

Michelle came by to pick me up around 8. We took a long drive to a farm to buy eggs. Everything was so green there! I rolled in the grass, enjoying every minute.

We went to a health food store. It was so nice to look around. Then we went to her city house. It was small, but so very well decorated. We went to a soup and sandwich place for lunch. I ordered vegetable chick pea soup. It was difficult to spot the chick peas. The meal came with a roll and a chocolate covered strawberry. It's their signature thing. I saved both for later.

We stopped by the house that sells goat milk, but the couple wasn't home. She took me to a park to get leaf mold. Then we went to a greenhouse that happened to be nearby. I did a lot of looking and picked out some flowers. At one point, we both got dizzy, then we left. We went back to the goat milk place, but still no one was home.

Then we went to Cal Ranch, where we got some steer manure. Michelle was strong enough to put it in the car. Finally we drove a long way to get back to base. I fell asleep at least once. She took me home and we unloaded my purchases from her car. I forgot to invite her in for cheese.

After she left, I found a message asking to open the swap shop. I walked to the post office for mail and to unlock the shop. When I got home, I tasted the cheese. It was too pungent for me. I ate supper, and gave more water to the worms. I spiked 4 jugs of water with minerals and LAB. I went to the garden to pull weeds and apply mineral water. I unrolled the irrigation system and watered the kale plant.

I came home to post to my blog for yesterday, then I made tea. We watched the last episodes of Cheers, season 2. Eventually we went to bed.

The anniversary of the day our music died

Sunday

I slept on the wrong side of ok. I woke up early to use the bathroom and was not able to go back to sleep. I got up at 8:20. I took probiotics, brushed my teeth, watered plants here and there. Chris turned on the wi-fi. My computer had rebooted so I lost my place in the podcast. When I found it, I finished the podcast then watched Dr.Berg videos.

At the end of the supplement routine, I made breakfast, I ate it while listening to interviews. I reflected that today is the day Dad died. Then I wondered what if there was no Faye in this world?

Chris came to church with me since the assistant was out. We got there a little early, merely seconds before the pastor from Tooele showed up. I unlocked the door. The chaplain's assistant was on emergency leave so we were on our own. I played the right hand of three hymns. Then the pastor talked for an hour from the 6th chapter of John and said a prayer and the service was over. I had brought seed crackers and cheese sticks. Every one got eaten so maybe I should have brought more (but I never know how many people are coming).

When we got home, I cut up orange peels to dry. I ate a grapefruit and cut up that peel as well. Then I changed my clothes and we went to the parking lot by Chris' office. I stood around talking to others while Chris went to look for the keys to the gov't van. He couldn't find them so the group took three vehicles.

We went to Granite Mountain on a recon for climbing tomorrow. There was a lot of standing around. I did examine some rock formations and climb on one. Then we went to see a man-made tunnel. There wasn't much inside except for tumbleweeds. On the other hand, we didn't have flashlights so might have missed something. It is used as a place to blow stuff up.

On the way there and back, the guy behind me mentioned some of the things we were seeing. It was interesting, but little stuck with me. When we got back to the office, Chris had to go inside and mark the mileage. Then the others left, talking about supper with the colonel. We went home. Chris cooked mushrooms and steamed vegetables. I ate the last of the ground beef. Chris went to the colonel's house for the dinner he just heard about.

I continued listening to interviews (and Michele who was playing an online DnD game for charity). I posted to my blog and jotted notes for the next day. I parsed out two weeks worth of supplements. Chris came home from the colonel's house. I made tea and we watched two episodes of Cheers. We both spent time with our laptops and then went to bed.

A windmill-type spinner

Saturday

I watered plants and worms. I ran the dishwasher, then listened to podcasts. I got a call canceling the appointment this afternoon. I came up with a card for Faye, and put it in an envelop with the invoice for Dohner Memorials. I took it to the post office, which closed a few minutes before I got there. I talked to the clerk who was just leaving. She said she uses a windmill-type spinner to keep gophers out of her yard.

I went home and asked Chris for a coconut oil massage. Afterward, Chris installed the new shower filter and we showered with much better water flow. I got dressed and made breakfast. I listened to a podcast on geoengineering while reading e-mail. Check out Project Popeye. I moved laundry from the washer to the dryer.

I talked to Faye. She is having car trouble. I put in a white load. I talked to Jamie, who didn't get my text about the canceled appointment. I made chia/flax mix then sat down to see if there is such a thing as chia/flax bread.

I listened to a QnA, then worked out at the gym with Diane. I expect to be sore tomorrow. I looked at more chia/flax bread recipes. They seem to need a bit of boiling water, possibly due to the chia.

I posted to my blog. I made tea. We watched 4 episodes of Cheers. I listened to part of a Ben Greenfield podcast, then paused it to go to bed.

All but the cards

Friday

I got up about 8. Chris was already gone to greet VIP's at the gate. After the usual stuff, I listened to podcasts and read Telegram messages. I took a break to separate the tomato seedlings and put them into separate pots. I set the gopher trap. I looked up things happening in May and wrote them on the calendar. (I missed the book club meeting). Pinterest showed me how to dismantle a stove door to clean it, but it was way too fast.

I made and ate breakfast, reading e-mail. Chris came home with a package from the post office. They wanted the tracking number from the package but could not read it. I looked through my e-mails until I found one with the number. I tried to call the post office, but they didn't answer, so I sent the number in a text.

Chris packed the cooler and we went to Tooele. We listened to the book on CD. When we got to town, we realized we had forgotton the list. After shopping at Luckey's, Melanie's, and Macey's, I thought we got everything but later realized we forgot birthday cards.

We went home. Chris unpacked groceries while I went to the track with Diane. She and I walked the curved parts and ran the straight parts for 25 minutes. That was plenty long enough. Then we tried to dig up some tulip bulbs growing in an empty lot, but the trowel wasn't big enough, so she decided to come back with a shovel. After she left, I cut some suckers from an apple tree, pear tree and lilac tree. I took them home and trimmed off most of the leaves and scored the ends, then put them in water.

I watered the onions with LAB. I soaked the new shower filter. I made a salad and heated leftovers for supper. I read e-mail, and posted to my blog, all by 8pm. I heated tea and we watched several episodes of Cheers. He went to bed half an hour later and I stayed up to listen to the first part of something, then went to bed myself.

Preparing the garden

Thursday

I got up at 7:45, having a hard time sleeping. I took a scoop of probiotics, then brushed my teeth. I scooped up a few remaining curds from the LAB and put them in the fridge. I watered the indoor plants and the worms. I turned on the router and watched the rest of the episode from last night. Then I started listening to Dr. Jane. I turned on my phone and saw a message from the command sergeant major asking me to come to her office. I finished my supplement routine. I packed the curds onto a plastic spoon and tied a baggie over it. I also picked up Gomer Pyle and headed out.

I went to the command building to see CSM. She had a long skirt that she wanted me to let out at the hem so she could take larger steps. We discussed it a little bit. Then I went to see Ravanna, Chris' executive assistant. I gave her the spoon of cheese. She tasted it and said it was mild, so she wrapped it up to let it age. Then I went to the library to return Gomer Pyle. I also stopped at the post office to unlock the swap shop and pick up the mail; which consisted of one package.

When I got home, I opened the box. It was an air pump and stone for bubbling ferments. Then I jotted notes about what I just accomplished this morning.

I made and ate breakfast. Chris came home for lunch and was talking to me when I got a phone call for a cleaning job. I made an appt to see the place to give them a quote. Then I called Jamie so she can go too. I watched The Highwire, and then 2000 Mules, which is a documentary about the ballot box-stuffing that was caught on tape in so many states.

I walked with Diane, then again with Jenni. I went to the garden and set up a 5 gallon bucket with water. I went home and spiked jugs of water with LAB. I put food scraps in the compost. I planted seeds in trays near a window, then went back to the garden with a rake. I added LAB to the bucket of fermenting grass, raked rows in the wood chips and poured in LAB. I talked to the lady at the next plot who was planting pumpkins.

When I got home, I planted some cantaloupe seeds in a pot. I reset a gopher trap and baited it with cantaloupe seeds. I walked to the swap shop to lock it up and chat with Tonja. I read e-mail until Chris came home from a social after work. We chatted. I cut a piece of torn shower curtain to cover Grandma's sewing machine which has potted plants on it. I posted to my blog, not managing to finish by 8. Then I heated tea and we watched 4 or 5 episodes of Cheers. I went back to reading e-mail. Chris went to bed, and later, so did I.

Bringing the community together

Wednesday

I got up before 8. I went through the usual coffee morning routine, then cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes, then spent a lot of time trying to clear soap impediments from the sprayer of my bottle of cleaner. It had been in my car, probably froze and thawed several times. The liquid had small lumps in it, and no doubt some of that lodged in the sprayer nozzle.

I sat in the sun, reading the book on garden amendments. I took a shower and got dressed. I put the rotten eggs in the gopher tunnels. I flattened several mounds.

I read e-mail and watched short video clips in Telegram. At 5pm I walked to the post office and came back with mail and a package. I called Faye, who was at home, doing well, but not supposed to drive until the drain gets taken out (on Friday).

I brought the tomato plant inside, then went to the community meeting. CSM was taking suggestions of what the community could do without spending money. Most suggestions involved food or guns. CSM asked me to widen a skirt for her. At 7:20, I texted Chris, thinking he would be a valuable addition to the meeting. But he showed up just as everyone was leaving.

Chris stayed to hang out, but I went home because the meeting was above the community club and there was food everywhere. I opened the Swanson box and put the contents away. I cut a drink bottle to make a tent over one of the sugar cane stalks, hoping it was not dead. There seemed to be some interest in sugarcane plants at the meeting. I also planted some acai berries.

When Chris got back, he was ready to watch TV, but he allowed me time to finished my blog post. He made a point of saying he wants to start watching TV at 8. I made tea and we watched three episodes of Cheers. He went to bed, but I stayed up to watch part of episode 7 of Propaganda Exposed.

I caught one!

Tuesday

Chris got up at 4:30. I woke up to pee and went back to bed. Later I heard Reveille and went back to sleep. Then I heard my phone alarm. Chris got in the shower and stayed for a long time. So I got up and started my day.

Chris mentioned that the shower flow was low, so I got online and found a good price on a new filter. (Ebay). According to my notes, it hasn't been changed in a year. I looked at how to propagate apple trees and made notes. I called Faye who is now at home. Kevin is cooking for her.

I made seed crackers. I moved the pineapple top to a vermiculite environment. I listened to a podcast: WHO is meeting on May 22 to approve amendments which would require member nations to submit to their sovereignty whenever WHO declares a pandemic. CDC changed the definition of 'invasive' to exclude poking a swab up the nose or down the throat. Other definitions were changed as well. They were published in the federal register on the last day of the Obama administration.

I listened to a James Corbett video titled “I read Bill Gates' book so you don't have to”. He shared clips of it that are narrated by Will Wheaton. Bill wants to create a GERM team (Global Epidemic Response and Mobilization), a permanent organization of experts who are fully paid and prepared to mount a coordinated response to a dangerous outbreak at any time. Of course the team will not be elected. nor responsible to anyone but the WHO (or Gates).

I went walking with Diane and Jenni. Then I went to the garden to rake and water with LAB and egg shells. I brought home clumps of grass for fermenting. I dug up gopher mounds. I set a trap with papaya seeds, and caught one pretty quickly. I kept digging and collecting stones until Chris came home. I had him empty the trap. I kept finding more holes to fill, and dirt to collect.

Chris went to have supper with the colonel. I finished up digging and went inside. I made a salad. Chris came back. I ate while watching episode 7. I cracked open 7 eggs and only one was still good. I set the others aside for the gophers.

I finished episode 7, then posted to my blog and made tea. We watched two episodes of Cheers. Then I watched a video on how to sew leggings. Chris went to bed. I read more e-mail, then retired for the night.

The aerobic flash mob

Monday

I woke up early with hot flashes and ringing ears. Chris was already up, having arisen early to work out with the colonel. When I thought he was gone, I got up to see if he turned off the router. But he was still here. The colonel had canceled and Chris didn't want to go back to bed and wake me up.

I stayed in bed until almost 7:30. I brushed and swished. I checked the worms. I planted more carrot seed. I scooped curds off of a ferment. I trimmed my hair.

I looked outside and noticed it had snowed. I checked on the tomato plant which we got at Macey's. It looked ok on the front porch. I sat down to make a plan for the garden. I listed all the amendments I have now and will have when the fermenting process is finished.

I got out a tester to verify that my grounding mat was working. But even though I followed the directions precisely, there was no response from the tester. I called the company and left a message.

While I was trying to find an alternate way of testing, Chris came home. He started up the riding mower and probably took the charger back. He said he thought the tomato wouldn't make it. CJ came by with a dozen eggs. I gave her four empty egg cartons and $6. I turned on the router and got lost in e-mail. Around noon, I made breakfast. Chris came home for lunch. I listened to podcasts and interviews.

At 3:30 I went to the school and walked the block with Diane and Jenni. When we finished, Jenni gave us each some seed packets. I went home, and back to reading e-mail. The earthing company sent me directions which let me know I had the mat and tester hooked up badly.

At 5 I put the battery in the small mower and mowed the back yard. Then I mowed the strips in front of the sidewalk. I put the mower away and found Chris inside already. He showed me a pair of suit pants where the metal bar had fallen off. He asked if I could fix them.

I grabbed my coat and went to the gym. I talked with Diane, Michelle, Jenni and Saronna. There was a blue wall down the center of the gym. We walked to the other side, where two ladies were setting up a sound system. They got the music going and we lined up for aerobics. I could not keep up so I did more of a Richard Simmons routine. But after half an hour, my back was giving me warning signals. I decided not to push it. I bid the ladies farewell and went home.

I pulled out leftovers and had supper. I listened to Propaganda episode 6. I jotted notes for my blog. I crushed some pickled garlic and waited 10 minutes to eat it. But then Michelle showed up at our door and wanted to talk to Chris (after checking on me). So Chris listened while she talked about the process for the aerobics class and some things she learned along the way.

After she left, I finished my blog post, made tea and we watched 2 episodes of Cheers. We ended early because Chris is going to get up early to work out with the colonel. I stayed up a little later to listen, then turned off the wi-fi and went to bed.

Mother's Day

Sunday

I was having a dream, but woke up to pee. I took a probiotic, then went back to brush my teeth. Chris said something about a card, so I went to my laptop to find a Mother's Day card that he placed there when I wasn't looking. I read the card and what he wrote inside. It was sweet. I turned on my phone and brushed my teeth. I checked the worms. I didn't see any worms, but the pineapple top I threw in there seems very happy. I got Mother's Day messages on my phone so I replied and sent out some others.

I resumed watching the propaganda episode. Lloyd Jowers admitted he hired a police lieutenant to shoot MLK. The Gulf of Tonkin attack was later found to be false and LBJ knew it. I finished the episode and looked at e-mail. Faye called to say she has an appointment tomorrow and they may take out the drain and then she may go home. An hour after my last supplement, I tried a muffin, with and without cheese. It was much better with the piece of cheese.

I tried to watch the documentary “2000 Mules”. It's about people stuffing ballot boxes. But I didn't want to pay $30 to watch it.

I made breakfast. Michele called in for the game and talked to me for a few minutes. Then I rushed to get dressed for church. I brought muffins, cheese squares and chocolate-covered pretzels (free from Nuts.com). When I got to the chapel, I left the food on the table just inside the door. I took my seat, noting that only Jenni and her husband were there. No one else came in. When the 5 minute count-down ended, we sang two songs, then heard Dave preach from John 5. Then we sang a hymn. I opened the muffin and cheese container, and the package of 6 beautifully decorated pretzels. They snacked and then I took the rest home.

When I got home, I ate the rest of my breakfast. I packed my sauna bag and gifts for the gym lady and muffins for Michelle. Just as I grabbed my coat, Michele called with good wishes. We talked for awhile, as I figured my daughter was more important than being on time for the gym. When I finally left the house, I forgot my sauna bag.

The gym lady was standing out in front of the gym. I gave her some yam sprouts and some chocolate-covered pretzels. We talked for a bit, then I went inside to find Michelle. She was talking to a lady I didn't know, but she introduced me. I started working out on three machines. I was done about the same time Michelle finished so we went to the next room. I worked out on 5 machines there while we talked. Then we went to the sauna, at which time I realized I had no sauna stuff. So I went in fully dressed with no water bottle. It took a while to warm up. Heather came in later and we had a good chat.

I went home. I washed off and changed my clothes. I crammed the last of the napa cabbage in a jar and covered it with the remaining kimchi. I sifted through the worm bin to see if any worms were left. I found them all in one spot, in a ball. I gave them some papaya rind. Chris went to help the colonel with his lawnmower and came back with a battery charger. He hooked up the riding lawn mower to charge. I ate leftovers for supper. I watched episode 5. I posted to my blog. I made tea and we watched some Carol Burnett. Then I set up the bread machine with the ingredients and went to bed.

Baking day

Saturday

It was almost 8:30 when I got up. I got myself ready and read e-mail. I picked fabrics for the class and ironed some of them. I made a carrot bag, referring often to the instructions online. I asked Chris for a massage. Later we each took a shower.

I read some e-mail, then made breakfast. I finished listening to episode 3. I gathered every thing for class. I went to chapel with Chris. He helped carry the machines in, then walked home, stopping at the post office.

I set up, then started working on a piece of fabric to identify and mark repeats. Jenni came, then Tonja, then Saronna's husband and kids. We worked on carrot bags. I had to help Sophia and Jenni with the cutting. We all chatted quite a bit. Then I realized how late it was. We packed up. I got cut on a rotary cutter that someone didn't fully retract. They helped me carry stuff to my car, including some cardboard boxes that I found.

When I got home, Chris brought my machines in. I mowed the lawn, then plugged in the charger. Chris had roasted bacon, steamed veggies, and cooked ground beef and mushrooms. I ate supper, finished a video and started episode 4 of Propaganda Exposed.

I paused it to make cheese sticks, half with bacon. I also made flax seed muffins. I cut the crispy edges off of the cheese and ate it. I shared them with Chris. I made tea and we watched the last three episodes of Gomer Pyle. Then I put the muffins and my laundry away and we made the bed. I typed out notes for tomorrow. Then I went to bed and waited for Chris.

The garden gala

Friday

I got up about 8:30, not having slept well. Hot flashes, etc. I brushed and swished. I picked some fresh dandelion heads to add to my collection. I weighed them in grams and added half that in brown sugar. I put it in the mud room to ferment. I checked the worms and found more moths. Not sure how they got in there.

I turned on my phone. There were two messages from Chris. He was on the airplane waiting for take-off. I spiked six gallons of water with LAB and put lids on. I posted my sewing class to the Dugway facebook page. I called Faye. She was doing well, but still with Asha.

I took the six gallons of water and drove to the gardens. People were already there, pulling weeds and working the soil. I talked to a man standing by my plot and throwing tumbleweeds over the fence. George and I talked for some time. I went to the other end of the gardens to see what the experts were doing. One from Utah State was going to give a talk about irrigation and corn. But two important people hadn't shown up yet. Waiting for them threw the agenda off. It was hard to get people assembled once they started on their own plots. I heard his first talk, but missed his second one on planting tomatoes.

They started cooking hotdogs for lunch. I talked with other people, then raked some furrows in my plot and watered them with LAB. I chose not to pull the weeds. The man I played chess with came by. He had an irrigation system he wasn't going to use, so I said I could use one. He went home and got it. He set the main part up and told me how to use it.

When it was time for dessert, the lady in charge did not have utensils, so I drove home and got a scoop and pie server. I met Chris just getting home from the airport. I ran back to give the utensils to the lady. Chris showed up a little later. I tried to get water for my plot but the timer was stuck on. A man came over and got it loose. Another man came over and used a battery-powered weedeater on my garden (at my request). The only plant in it was a kale plant and strawberry plant that Jenni did not want from her garden.

By then it was 1:30. I went home to eat breakfast and check e-mail. I called Chris and he came home so we could prepare for our trip. We went to Tooele and shopped. We got back too late to walk. Chris tried to start the large mower and had no luck either. I got out the mower and mowed all of the yard between us and Melissa. There were a lot of sticks and tumbleweeds to push out of the way. Then I did part of the yard on the other side.

I ate leftovers for supper. I jotted notes for today and posted for yesterday. We watched three episodes of Gomer Pyle. Chris gave me quite an education on the ribbons Sgt Carter was wearing, and then Chris' ribbons, and ribbon etiquette. I started listening to Propaganda Exposed, then paused it and went to bed.

Heads up, ye dandelions

Thursday

I took the worms outside because moths were in there. I had to check them often during the day because they dried out so quickly. The weather was so nice that I did some gopher work, too. I finished the Polly and Mary video. I listened to Ben Greenfield and read e-mail. I got a call for the swap shop and was able to tell him to come this afternoon.

I soaked shungite pieces in water. Some of them looked rusty so I did an internet search. This seems to be common and thought to have no bad effect. I made a bag for the pieces out of cheese cloth. I walked to the post office, unlocked swap shop, and moved the packing paper that shows through the glass door. I picked up our mail and a package from Earthing.com. When I got home, I opened the box and took out the grounding flipflops. I untied the string and tried them on. They are for duplicating going barefoot outside without actually stepping on goats head thornes.

I read more e-mail, then made breakfast and watched The Highwire. Vanden Bossche: with Omicron, the virus perfected its transmissability. Now it is going to increase its lethality. This wiill be worse for vaccinated than for the unvaccinated because the virus will use their non-sterilizing antibodies against them.

I went walking with Jenni. We took a side trip to look for tulips. We found 8 or so in an empty lot. I thought about digging them up, but where would I put them? We stopped to talk to Mindy. She has such lovely plants. She is in charge of the garden event tomorrow.

I drove home, and got cloths and spray. I went to Chris' previous office to clean it, but it had been cleaned. His secretary was not there. I talked to the new DGC. Finally I went home. I ate some leftovers. I tried to start the big mower, but with no luck. I plugged in the battery for the small mower. Then I picked dandelion heads. At 7 I went to the swap shop to lock up. I talked to Tanja and locked the swap shop.

When I got home, I picked more heads. pulled out rocks from gopher mounds, then left the rake and pitch fork near the car for tomorrow. I made a salad, and watched episode 2 of Propaganda Exposed. We are NOT one nation under government, with freedom and justice for those who comply.

I texted with Michelle. I read some e-mail, then took my evening supplements. I posted to my blog and wrote a paragraph for a Facebook post for tomorrow. Then I went to bed.

A pineapple sucess!

Wednesday

I got up around 8. I don't think I had to get up during the night. I brushed and swished. I did my exercises and had a reasonable coffee morning. Afterward I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, although it was not a good job on the bathrooms. I took a shower and got dressed. I washed dishes, then walked to the post office for the mail and a package.

I made more spice mix. I noticed one of the pineapple tops had rooted. I took it to Jenni's house. She wasn't home so I left it there. I walked with Michelle and listened to her talk until almost 5:30. I felt like little bugs were crawling on my head.

I worked outside in the yard. I inoculated several gallons of water with LAB and spread it on the lawn. I topped off other ferments. I broke down boxes and put them in recycling and rolled the bin out to the curb.

I started watching This Week with Mary and Polly. Around 7 I switched to Propaganda Exposed. One of the things they mentioned was the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012. The Smith-Mundt Act of 1948 states that the state department can propagandize foreign countries, but cannot release such propaganda material in the U.S. The act of 2012 repeals the prohibition on the use of propaganda domestically. It was buried in the National Defense Authorization Act signed by Obama. This means it is now legal for our gov't to lie to the people.

I talked to Chris, then went back to the docuseries. When it ended, I finished listening to Mary and Polly. I paused that at 11 to hit the hay.

Written in stone (or will be soon)

Tuesday

I got up around 8, not having gotten up at all during the night. Yay! I brushed my teeth and checked e-mail for a few minutes, then called Faye. After talking to her, I sent out texts and e-mails to concerned people, letting them know that she is fine. The doctor just had to open the incision and remove blood clots.

I continued reading e-mail and responding. I called Dohner Memorials to get a date put on the tombstone. I looked into 'written expression disorder'. It is to writing what dyslexia is to reading. I picked off new yam sprouts, and watered the potted plants.

I burned my hand while drying a bowl to make breakfast. I read articles for a while, then took my trombone to Saronna's house. I played with her from the trios book. Then, when school got out, Wyatt joined us with his jazz book. It had a CD and was kind of neat.

Afterward, I went to the gym to walk with Diane and Jenni. Then I went to the post office and picked up a package. When I got home, I picked up a cup of sprouts and took them to Chris' executive assistant. We chatted for awhile, and then Michele (my daughter) called. I walked out to my car to chat with her. She was having a sewing conundrum.

After the call, I went home. I brought the trombone in from the car. I read e-mail, and ate some ground beef. I made a salad. Chris called and we chatted for awhile. Then I posted to my blog and sat down to watch Carol Burnett. It was almost midnight when I shut it off and went to bed.

Checking it out at night

Monday

I got up late, feeling like I hadn't slept well. I think it was the probiotic that I took around 10. Chris was gone by then, but had left the door slightly ajar. I closed the door. I plugged my laptop into the modem. It didn't work for some reason, so I used another cord and plugged my cord into that one, and voila!

I read e-mail. I took breaks to write a check to the church, set a gopher trap, and water the mound with LAB. I took the 'cheese' from the LAB and set it to drain. I separated sweet potato and yam sprouts for dispersal to those who wanted some. Gwenda contacted me on Facebook to find out about Faye.

I made and ate breakfast. I took a book and sat outside in the sun for awhile. I went back to e-mail. I put most of my sprouts in a cup to hand out. I stopped by the post office, then went to the school. I gave some sprouts to Jenni. I walked with Diane. Then Heather drove up and asked for some so I told her my car was open. Diane and I finished walking around the block. I noticed all the plants were gone from my car. Oops. I should have told her just to take a few. Oh well, there are more coming.

I went to the library to drop off stuff and got a Carol Burnett DVD. I talked to Melissa who works there and lives next to me. She wants her yard mowed. I let her know that the mower has a flat tire.

I went home to read e-mail. I checked on the worms and put back the ones trying to escape. William and Karen called to check on Faye. We had a very nice conversation.

I made a salad. Chris called, but didn't have much to say. As usual, I fished around for topics of interest. Then I listened to Mike Adams. I paused it when Michelle came over for a pad of steel wool. We talked for some time and it got dark. Then we went up the hill to see how dark the house was at night. It was dark, but maybe not as much as my bedroom here. With her phone light, we could see that the floors were still bare. Then she drove me home again.

After she left, I made tea and put in the first DVD of Carol Burnett. It was ok. I paused it at 11, to write my blog. Then I got ready for bed.

Faye is not out of the woods yet

Sunday

I got up late, having a weird dream. I brushed my teeth and put orange peels outside to dry. I made mini-muffins. They were made mostly of eggs and flax seed, plus honey, cinnamon and vanilla for flavoring. However, none of those flavors were present in the final product. Chris gave me a massage and we both took showers. I read e-mail until time to make breakfast.

After breakfast I got dressed for church. It had rained, but was drying out. I took the muffins and Jenni's stuff with me. She and her husband were walking in when I got there. I handed her the bag and her husband paid the $9.

I took a communion pack and sat down for the service. Michelle and her family came and sat with me. The pastor introduced himself to them. Then Saronna came with her family while we were singing the opening songs.

After the service, I opened the muffin container and chatted with Jenni and Saronna while the kids ate muffins. Then I took the remaining muffins home. Chris was gaming with the voices and doing laundry. I read e-mail until almost 3:30.

Then I packed my sauna bag and went to the gym. Jenni and Michelle were already there. We all did a weighted workout, then sat in the sauna. We chatted for an hour or so. Jenni left. Michelle and I chatted in the locker room. She insists on helping me clean the windows and decorate the house on the hill. I really don't want to go there.

Then I chatted with the lady at the front desk. I offered her yam sprouts and she accepted, saying I could leave them there for her during the week. Then I went home. Chris had supper on the stove. He was folding laundry and packing for his trip. I washed up and put on clean clothes. I jotted notes for my blog. Michelle texted me about meeting at the house on the hill to see how the light comes in at night.

I made a salad. I called Faye. She was still at Asha's house and going back to the hospital because her surgical wound wasn't healing right. I posted to my blog. It was raining again so I let Michelle know that it wasn't a good night to go up there. Then I made tea and we watched three episodes of Gomer Pyle.

Chris made the bed while I was reading Telegram messages. Then we went to bed.

Trying LAB on the lawn and flower beds

Saturday

I got up about 8, not having slept well because my gut was somewhat uncomfortable all night. I went to check on the worms. There was a moth in there so I got Chris to go after it (because he can reach it when it goes up to the ceiling). But when he got there, it was gone. I found it later in the hallway and he struck it down.

I checked e-mail. Tanja wanted to open the swap shop so I drove down there to unlock it while Chris took a shower. I came back from the post office with a package of bone broth. Chris had the cooler packed. We went to Tooele. On the way, we finished the previous book on CD and started a new one by Nicholas Sparks. It did not have the gore of the previous book.

We shopped at Luckey's. Using our own bags slowed down the process. Then I went to Melanie's for a few things. I got coconut from their bulk section and it would not flow so I didn't get very much. I wore a plastic glove to dispense it because I cut my finger on Chris' door handle and the glove kept the blood inside.

Then I went to Joanns for Jenni. I picked out what I thought she wanted. I found some fabric I liked on the sale pile. It took the cutter a long time to cut the fabric and the burlap. Then there was a long line for checkout and only one lady. I walked back to the car with my purchase. We then went to Macey's for a few last things before heading home.

I was nearly asleep when we got back to the house. We brought in the groceries and I laid down for a few minutes. Then I made breakfast and ate it while reading e-mail. I sat out in the sun for awhile, not even reading. I sent Jenni a text asking when she wanted to walk. I walked to the swap shop to chat with Tonja and then lock up. I spiked 5 gallons of water with LAB and poured them on the flower beds and the lawn.

I trimmed Chris' hair. It didn't turn out so well despite my best efforts and I ruminated on how it was a good thing I liked him. Think how it would have turned out if I didn't!

I drove to the ACS parking lot to pick up a plant pot that someone left by the dumpster. It was a whole lot bigger than it looked, plenty big enough for the 22” pot of dirt that Brian left behind. I barely got it in my trunk. When I got home, Chris took it out. He pulled out the dead plant inside, proclaiming it not mostly dead, but totally dead. Then we dug a lot of the dirt out so we could put Brian's plants inside. His ball of dirt has what appears to be a climatis and a dianthus. I watered it with two+ gallons of water.

I dug up some gopher mounds in the front yard and redistributed the dirt. I wondered if they would like LAB. I read e-mail. I jotted notes and posted to my blog. I made tea and we watched three episodes of Gomer Pyle. I listened to some videos then went to bed.
