Leftovers with the neighbors

I stayed in bed late. I got up to brush and swish. I finished my book. I put on Day 5 of the tapping summit. I looked online for the best price on a supplement I want to buy. I cut some circles and sewed them to a black background using leftovers from Rebecca's project. I thought they would work with the stripe project. I did some very intense tapping on an old memory from Thailand that might be affecting my back.
When I needed a break, I texted Stacey to see if she wanted to go for a walk. While waiting for an answer, I finished the morning supplements. When I got her text, I put on my coat and walked over to her house. She and her husband were in the garage, decluttering or something. I gave her money that I owed from last time. She came with me and we walked around the circle three times. First we talked about my week and then we talked about hers.
She went back to helping her husband. I went home and made breakfast. I finished it outside because it was such a nice day. I also ate a piece of chicken with kimchi. I threw out the pico de gallo because the lid was puffed out. I listened to more interviews from the tapping summit and tapped more on my issue. At 5 Stacey invited me to supper at 6. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers, and left them in the oven to crisp up. Then I put some sweet potato and coconut cream in a small container to bring with me.
I showed up about 6 with the dish. Eric put leftovers on the table and she and I chose what we wanted. He heated them up. He went to watch football while she and I ate, then looked at the floor plan for a house they want to buy. We discussed how to renovate the bathrooms. Cecily would have loved it – plenty of opportunity to obsess. He invited me to supper tomorrow and asked what I would like to go with steak. I chose jicama and artichoke.
When I realized it was 9, I got up to go. She walked out with me and we talked some more on the sidewalk. Finally I went home. I took magnesium and valerian root. I watched an episode of Royal Pains. I took the detox supplements and sat down to write my blog post. Then I took the binders and got ready for bed. I was surprised not to feel any twinges.

The miracle massage

I woke up just before my alarm went off. I brushed my teeth, took the first supplements, then swished. I tried to che e-mail, but Yahoo was really slow. So I moved it to another browser. That seemed to speed it up, at least for awhile. I wondered if I should take a sewing machine to Renegades on Sunday. I was still having light twinges and they had me worried. So I tested the weight of the machine in the case, and the featherweight. I didn't sense much difference. But there was a sewing project in there from the last Renegades meeting. I opened it up, intending to add borders, but discovered that some (most) of the seams weren't quite right, and practically nil in two spots. So I took a bunch of stitches out and pinned the edges together correctly.
I research supplements and prices, needing to replace a supplement that is running out. I did some tapping for feeling of wax stuck to my teeth. I keep wanting to clamp down on it and squeeze it down to size, but that would probably break my temporary crown.
I listened to the next episodes of the tapping summit. I made and ate breakfast. I discovered that there was a bonus interview, so I listened to that and sent a message to Nell so she wouldn't miss it. I watched two ABC's of supplementation videos while I sewed the pinned strips and pressed them.
I took a short walk because it was too cold to take a longer one. The temp wasn't horrible, but the wind chill made it much worse. After the walk, I went to the post office to pick up mail. There was nothing important.
From there, I went to see my massage therapist. I brought a book in case I had to wait, but she took me right away. We stood around talking for about 45 minutes, mostly about the coronavirus. Then she left while I undressed and laid face down on the table. When she came back, she started on my right side, pushing into my back with one finger. She really gave it a workout. I kept thinking the muscle was going to give warning twinges, but it didn't. She spent most of the hour working on my back, covering it with magnesium cream. After the massage, there were no twinges, much to my surprise. I went to her office to pay her. She said next time I have an episode, I should call her. If she has time, she will come to my house and release the muscles that are forcing the disks to pinch the nerve. Wow!
On the way home, I stopped at the little Asian store for coconuts, mushrooms and a pummelo. When I got home, I put on an interview from the summit, and ate the pommelo. It was a lot like a grapefruit. I also had some seed crackers and a handful of nuts. I was tired of chicken. For some reason, he made three baking dishes full of chicken and chorizo. And he's not here to eat it.
After supper, I checked e-mail again. I continued to look for the best price on an equivalent product that I needed to order. The next day of the tapping summit was posted and I started listening. I paused it to watch two episodes of Royal Pains. Then I wrote my blog post, took supplements and got ready for bed.
* I think it needs black borders. What do you think? *

Alone and busy

I woke up with my alarm. It woke Chris, too, and he was frisky. But my back was sending warning signals so I declined.
I got up to do the usual morning stuff, listening to the summit. Chris ate, showered, and packed his duffle bag and hung the costume in his car. Then he headed to St. Louis. I took supplements on schedule, got dressed, and went to the chiropractor. I thought I had brought a book, but what I had was a kit Mom had started. I brought it in with me. I was put on the back-stretching machine right away. She turned down the pressure for me. The stim felt really good, though. Afterward, I sat in the hall and stitched. Then he put me in Exam room 2 and I stitched some more. When it was my turn, he came in and I handed him a jar of fermented sweet potato and coconut milk. As he examined my neck, I told him about the car accident two weeks ago. He adjusted my neck and various places along my spine. He said no twisting and told me to come back next week, which is my normal appointment anyway. I stopped at the front desk, then went home.
I quickly made and ate breakfast. Then it was time to go quilting. I hadn't asked the chiropractor about lifting my machine, but I could guess the answer. I took the little sewing kit and found a seat by Leanne. We talked until Carol arrived. Then Carol talked about ...something. Anyway, at 2, I packed up my work on the patchwork ball and went home.
I got ready for my phone call with the health practitioner. I told him I was leery of supplements that had a proprietary blend, which most of his do. He said I could choose something else, but that the ones he sells have been really effective for patients in the past. After the call I went for a walk. It was cold but sunny. When I got back, I made up a week's worth of practitioner supplements.
I listened to the rest of the Supplements Revealed summit, and the tapping summit. I checked out the options to own the information. For the highest price, you get 4 bottles of supplements. But I could not find a GMP stamp anywhere on the label.
I had a piece of chicken with kimchi for supper, plus the rest of the sad-looking arugula. I lit the anti-mold candle in the master bathroom and shut the door. I soaked the head of the spray nozzle at the sink in a cut of vinegar. I did tapping with Nell for almost 2 hours on her issue. Then I watched Day 1 of the summit which was on Youtube. Afterward, I used my massage ball and watched one episode of Royal Pains. I wondered what Netflix offering Chris was watching.
I blew out the candle, and took the second-to-last set of supplements. I wrote my blog post, then got ready for bed.
* There is Chris' costume. I hope to have a pic of him in it one of these days. *

No house cleaning today

I got up around 7:30. My mouth was too sore to brush, but I swished with the usual tooth powder and homemade mouth wash. I tweaked and printed out my supplement regimen. I did a modified version of my exercises and made coffee. I started the meditation and tapping. Then it occurred to me that I should be proactive because Chris is leaving town. So I called the chiropractor and the receptionist told me to come right in.
I drank my protein mix and drove over there. She put me right into an exam room. The doctor came in soon after. He said he'd asked her to check up on me. (and here I thought he didn't remember me.) I told him my plantar fasciitis was all gone, and I didn't know if it was due to the meds or being off of my feet for 24 hours. He tested my legs and said it was a nerve between L4 and L5. He didn't think it was time to cut it. He adjusted my neck and back with the thumper, and told me to come back in a day or two. I went to the front desk and she scheduled me for tomorrow morning.
When I got back, I took vitamin C. I made pre-breakfast mixes and breakfast itself. I blended a sweet potato with coconut cream and put a capsule of probiotic in it. I took a shower, and got dressed. Then I listened to Supplements Revealed.
At 1:50, I went to the Korean clinic. They had a loan snafu where the money they sent was sent back and they were being charged late fees. I tried calling the bank, but they wouldn't talk to me. So we did our best workaround on that. Then he gave me a detox foot bath. But at 4 I cut it short. We had a discussion of what Ash Wednesday meant. He said they are 7th Day Adventists and don't celebrate Christmas or Easter. She asked about the kimchi and I said there was still some left. She said the two of them eat that much in two days.
When I got home, Chris was there. He'd brought in a small package. My neighbor texted me that it was left on her doorstep. I put on the remaining interview and sewed trim on the sleeves of the costume. Chris called the credit card company to activate my card, but the automated system would not do it. So he had to talk to a representative. It got interesting, but finally straightened out. When the interview was over, I put on the Tapping summit. I got out my glue box and tried to resurrect a bottle. Finally I had to dip it out with a toothpick. I glued tassels to ends of a rope braid for a belt.
I made a salad for supper and then had some chicken. Last year I had bought a baby toothbrush, which just fits on the end of my finger. I used it to brush my temporary crowns and gums but it didn't feel good. I asked Chris to put gas in my car because it was so cold and dark outside.
I was still listening to the summit when it stopped abruptly at 7. I found a bin in the garage and filled it with recycling, and emptied it outside, twice. I rolled the big bin to the curb. My massage therapist called, having an empty slot on Friday afternoon.
I added a bit of bling to the hat as an afterthought. Then Chris cued up Netflix while I made magnesium water for sipping. We watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. He went to bed while I swished with glutathione. But my gums didn't like that either. I wrote my blog post and put some ozone cream on my gums, then got ready for bed.
* This is my best effort with the tassel. I hope no one notices it. *

Crowned x 2

I got up a little before the alarm went off. I had little trouble getting out of bed. I took a packet of
Vitamin C, then brushed and swished. I put ingredients in the bread machine for Chris. Then I made and ate breakfast. I packed my back medicine, a lidocaine patch and vitamin C, and went to the dentist.
I had barely sat down when I was called back. The assistant left me to get a knee pillow. There was a blue rinse in a cup for me. Usually I only pretend to use it, but because my first crown got infected, I swished with the rinse. Then she got me settled in the chair. However, I asked for a Conebeam x-ray, rather than the usual ones, so I had to get up and go to that machine. I held my breath so it would get a good picture. Then I took a packet of vitamin C.
The assistant was getting me ready with nitrous when the dentist came in. She said she'd looked at the conebeam slide by slide and could find nothing wrong with my bone structure. She was pleased to see how healthy and dense it was. There were no cavitations or absesses. She gave me two shots in the back corner of my mouth, then left. I did some tapping while we waited for it to take effect. But when she came back, my tongue was numb but my lips weren't, so she gave me another shot. Again, the assistant and I waited. Then the dentist gave me a 4th shot, but in a different location. She said 10% of people have their nerve in the other location. She left again. When I thought my lips were numb, the dentist came back. She started drilling, but I was flinching from the pain. So she tried to convince me to reschedule for a session with twilight sedation. But having come so far, I did not want to start over. I insisted on finishing up, especially since she estimated the drilling at only 20 minutes. So she injected anesthesia into the gum beside tooth. She didn't think it would work because my jaw bone is so dense, but it did. She was able to trim down that tooth and I felt nothing. She started on the next one. It hurt but I could handle it just long enough for her to finish it.
After that she left, and the assistant made an impression, and then a temporary crown that covered two teeth. She kept fitting it and grinding it until I said it was ok. But I couldn't really tell because of all the numbness in my mouth. Finally, it was in and she walked me to the front desk where I paid by credit card. It was after noon when I left for home.
(I remembered a dentist years ago, drilling away at my back tooth and telling me that it didn't hurt, even though I insisted that it did. I guess he didn't know I was one of the 10%."
When I got home, I put the lidocaine patch that was on my back, on the side of my face. I had to put on a surgical mask to keep it there. I put some ozone gel on the soft tissues around the two teeth. I made my protein drink and had some bone broth. It was a lovely day, so I took a slow walk around the circle. Then I went to church to take care of the offering.
It was an easy day of counting. Afterward, I shredded half a bag of paper. Then I took the money to the bank for deposit. The teller was talking about having an infected tooth, so I told her how I cured one for myself.
When I got home, there was a package on the porch. I picked it up, and opened it. It was our new credit card. I put on Day 1 of the tapping summit and worked on the gold trim of his costume. Chris came home with packages from the post office. I finished sewing on trim, then opened the packages. They were both supplements. I had a can of organic soup for supper as well as a chicken leg. It was hard to eat because my mouth didn't want to open very wide. I was afraid to brush my teeth afterward.
One of my e-mails said my data would be deleted from the cloud a year after my last use. I checked that day in my blog, but it was missing. So I have no idea what information I stored in the cloud, or why I would have put it there. It was a Thursday, but there is no record of it, or pictures with that date. From reading the posts before and after, I concluded that I had an appointment with the chiropractor in the morning and probably did not go quilting.
I listened to Day 7 of Supplements Revealed. It ended abruptly at 8, when the next episode went live. I mixed up some vitamin water and some magnesium water and some salt water. The idea was to swish with each off and on while we watched Call the Midwife. None of them seemed to help, and the salt made it worse if comfort was the goal.
After two episodes, I took some supplements. Chris went to bed. I wrote my blog post and got myself ready, then took the last of the supplements. I decided to take it easy on the usual stretches. I brushed very lightly, then went to bed.
* I didn't take any pics today, so here is another one from the modern quilt guild meeting. *

Back on my feet

I could not sleep last night. If I relaxed the cramping muscle, the other muscles tightened up, and vice versa. Plus I had to keep changing my leg position at least every minute. No time to sleep. Around 3(?) they gave me Robaxin. That increased the time I could spend in one position so I could sleep a few minutes at a time.
Breakfast came at 7. The lady who brought it asked for my lunch and supper order. I ate most of the scrambled eggs, but they were softly scrambled and did not set too well. I ate one piece of bacon, the oatmeal and the orange sections. I kept the biscuit and second piece of bacon for Chris, who was coming at 8. He could have had the rest of the eggs and the coffee, but the lunch lady took them away with the tray. When Chris did not show up at 8, I called the number Chris wrote on the white board, but some lady answered. I had the CNA dial the number and got an answering machine. Finally at 9:30, Chris came in with my knee pillow, and phone. I was so glad to see my phone since I haven't memorized the numbers of people I wanted to talk or text to. He hadn't gotten my message. I had messages on my phone, and one was from a cc company flagging a suspicious charge. Chris called the company to dispute the charges because they were on a card we canceled a week ago. He had to ask to speak to a manager. The manager ended up thanking him for bringing this to his attention. I called the dental office to say I might not be there tomorrow if I am still in the hospital.
A bunch of doctors and med students came by to ask me questions about my condition. Hearing that the Percocet didn't help, but the Robaxin did a little, he prescribed more Robaxin, a lidocaine patch and a steroid drip. The nurse put the patch on first, then hooked up the IV, and finally found a pump to make it work.
Lunch came at 11. I ate the chicken salad wrap and vegetable soup and grapes. Someone came to take blood. Apparently my white cell count was slightly high, so she came back for more blood for a lactate test. She planned to repeat it every three hours.
My back started feeling better. I was able to lie in one position for 10 minutes or more. I tried to sleep, but that eluded me. Painstakingly, I scooted to the edge of the bed, rolled to the left, and crept out with my feet to a chair that Chris had placed there. But that was as far as I could go. So I laid down on my back again and lowered the bed. I tried again, and finally got my feet on the floor and enjoyed sitting up for a few minutes. Then I stood up. I alternated sitting and standing for awhile. Then I used the bathroom like a normal person. Chris had to clean me up because of all the loose movements. Chris called the nurse and I was able to show her that I could walk. A physical therapist came to check me out. I stood up for him, walked forward and backward. He checked my leg strength and listened to my explanation that walking was never a problem, only getting to an upright position. Andrew was happy with my condition and said I could tell the checkout people that I would rather stand than sit and that he said so.
I read my book until the nurse came back to give me papers to sign and tell us we could leave. The lactate tests were canceled. As was the x-ray. She also gave me one more dose of Robaxin, saying it as the largest dose she'd ever seen. It made me feel loopy. I asked if it promoted loose stools and not feeling good in the gut. She said no, that would be the hospital food. The eggs are made from powder. I preferred to walk, so we walked down to the first floor. We did not know where to check out or even if we needed to. Chris said they'd send us a bill, so we just went to the parking lot to get in his car. The Robaxin made the ride home easier. Chris followed the GPS home and it did not avoid pot holes.
Chris heated up chicken while I sat in the bathroom trying to get rid of the hospital food. I read a book until I couldn't sit anymore. I put the book away, and went to the kitchen for supper. The chicken was excellent. I also had my daily handful of nuts, plus some sauerkraut. I listened to part of Supplements Revealed. But at 8pm it promptly shut down because the next episode was out.
We put on Call the Midwife. Then Faye called. Her evening wasn't as good as she'd planned. Then we finished the Netflix show. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to write two blog posts, hoping I didn't forget anything important.

Back issues

I woke up with the alarm at 7:30, but did not get up right away. When I did, I brushed. I swished while taking a shower. I was putting on pantyhose, getting ready for church, when, without warning, my back cramped. I tried to call Chris, but my mouth was full of swishing. I dropped to the floor, with my head in the closet on a pair of shoes. I had to spit on a plastic bag so I could call out to Chris. He brought me meds from the head of the bed. I also drank lots of magnesium citrate water and took multiple packets of Vitamin C and Glutathione. But it was not enough to keep the spasms at bay long enough for me to get up. I laid there until 3 or so. Chris brought me some sweet potato mixed with fermented coconut milk. I wiggled out of my pantyhose and dress and put on my long nightshirt for comfort. Poor Chris had to deal with the effects of the magnesium on my gut. But he was a trooper, cleaning up whatever came out.
I got the shakes and that increased the spasming or cramping. Chris called an ambulance. I took some last minute vitamin C. I scooted my butt around to the side of the bed to give them more room. I didn't realize I could move that well. I had Chris put a brief and socks on me before the drivers came. A man and woman came carrying a small tarp with handles. They rolled it under me then hoisted me up and carried me to the stretcher. The transfer hurt. They rolled me to the ambulance. She offered to put the head of the bed up. That made me think I might be able to stand with that kind of help. But we'd already committed to going to Huntsville Hospital to find out what was really wrong. The trip was bumpy to the hospital, but I weathered it easier than the trip to Crestwood Hospital two years ago.
I was taken to an ER room right away. I transferred myself from the stretcher to the bed. The lady had to stay with me until a nurse arrived. Then I was offered a PureWick, which is an external female catheter. I accepted and the nurse was so pleased that I already had a brief on. It was easier on both of us. Other people from various departments showed up to ask questions – although no one asked about flu shots. Finally Chris was allowed to come back to the room. We had time to wait and I wished I had my phone so I could communicate with the outside world. The doctor asked questions and talked to me. He called for three meds. More waiting. A nurse brought the meds and they were oral. I took them and waited for them to kick in, but there was no benefit. Then the doctor called for two shots – steroid and something else. They burned going in. 40 minutes later the nurse tried to get me out of bed, but it triggered a massive spasm and set me back quite a bit.
So they admitted me. That was a long process. I was given an IV port just because it was policy. The person who took me walked very fast and the wind made me cold. When we got to the room, I transferred myself to the bed in the room. The pushy lady left. The nurse tried to raise the head of my bed, but it would not stay up, and fell back down. I asked for food and she brought me a turkey sandwich. I ate the turkey and left the bread. Chris waited with me for awhile, then went home because it was late. The nurse gave me Percocet, but it did not reduce the pain. I read for awhile, then turned out the light and tried to sleep by tapping, which was very relaxing.
* This is the PureWick. They said the doctor who invented it is now very rich. And yes, you can buy a PureWick system for use at home. *

CBD coconut oil

We were awakened by my phone alarm. Chris gave me a massage using the CBD Coconut oil that I bought in Augusta. He used a lot and I wondered if I was absorbing the calories of it.
I got up, brushed my teeth and listened to the rest of the day 4 episode from last night. I took supplements on schedule and by 11:30 I was ready for breakfast.
After breakfast, I checked the weather, then put the plants out. I took a walk up the hill at the back of the neighborhood. I found myself walking through the woods, which are strangely deficient in undergrowth. It occurred to me that maybe some one sprayed it?
As I passed by the soccer field, I remembered that I wanted used tennis balls. So I walked over to the tennis court and searched all around. There were no balls on the court or around outside. But there were two floating in the garbage can which was full of rain water. I picked them out and carried them home. On the way, I passed a man in the field behind our duplex. He looked like he had just landed there with a parachute and was waiting for a ride. I did not see any planes.
When I got inside, Chris was on the phone with his parents. Their heater had died and was just now being fixed. I washed the tennis balls thoroughly. We looked at Chris' costume. I had ironed it and it looked ok, but I thought it needed some gold trim. He thought the belt was going to be too short. Chris called Michele for her opinion. Then we went to Joanns for trims. We saw that Earth Fare was closing. Inside the fabric store, we looked at all the gold trims. We found some 'rope' for the belt and narrow trim for the tabard. I got enough to use on the hat as well. We looked for unicorn pendants but did not see any. As we left the store, I realized I had made more work for myself.
When we got home, I played a movie about 5G, written by a journalist in Houston Texas. It was very well done. While it played, I hemmed the silk pants, and started sewing the trim by hand. I stopped to make supper. I called Dad on his cell phone because the kitchen phone was always busy. After the call, I listened to podcasts, folded laundry, and played Solitaire.
We watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. I sipped my usual magnesium water and vitamin water. Afterwards, we dressed the bed with clean sheets. I wrote my blog post, rolled out my shoulders and did a few yoga stretches before going to bed.

Sunny but cold

I woke up hearing Chris' alarm. I took the vinegar bag off of the shower head and went back to bed, but couldn't sleep. After he showered, dressed and left for work, I put on the box fan to dry out the bathroom and the shower head.
I yelled in the mirror to get out my frustrations. I composed an e-mail. I took supplements. I swished quickly with salt water, then did the regular brushing and swishing. I searched again for the missing seam binding. I took more supplements. I turned on the router and checked e-mail. I unsubscribed from some, not certain it does any good. I swished with salt water again throughout the day.
After more searching, I found the second package. I sewed it to the edge of the fraying strip. I looked up ways to stabilize the other fraying side before attaching it to the garment. It was kind of heavy for a french seam.
I listened to episode 3 of Supplements Revealed while making and eating breakfast. I ate a bunch of kimchi because Dr. Grace is going to give me more next week and I want to return the container. I had to choose between walking when the sun is highest and walking when it is the warmest. I chose the highest and went for a walk after breakfast. Then I listened to more of the episode and ironed fusible strips to the fraying strip edge. I called Dad several times but got a busy signal. I sat outside reading to enjoy the sunshine. But the cold chased me inside all too soon.
I finished sewing the strip to the bottom of the yellow garment. I encased the edges in yellow tulle to contain fraying. Chris came home. I finished the edge of the outer garment, and hung it up for a pic. I looked in the garage for more sewing trims. Chris left to go gaming. I found a package on the front porch (which contained supplements).
I made and ate supper while watching three episodes of Royal Pains. I enjoyed that so much. Then I watched two episodes of IT Crowd. That wasn't as good. I meditated with Deepak, then started watching the next episode of Supplements Revealed. Chris came home and went to bed. I took notes for Jennifer. Then I paused it after the first speaker and wrote my blog post and retired for the night.

Where IS that seam binding?

I forgot to take my phone into the bedroom last night, so I had no idea how late it was (9am!) when I got up. It was raining, again, so there was no inspiration to get out of bed. I took a supplement, then brushed and swished. I brought in some newspapers that were lying on the front porch. I removed them from the bags. I put the bags over the shower head in the master bathroom. It was a snug fit. Then I got a cup of vinegar from the kitchen and poured it in, submerging the head. I secured it with a twist tie and left it to dissolve the black stuff growing on it. I hope I remember to take it off before Chris takes a shower tomorrow.
I trimmed the flower stems and gave them fresh water. I cleaned up some clutter in the kitchen. I looked for AAA batteries for the blood pressure machine I got at a yard sale. I didn't find any so I wrote it on the list. I listened to a podcast while I deleted e-mail. The speaker talked about good gut bacteria, and mentioned crickets as one of the foods that helps. Silvia sent me pictures of placemats on her table. They looked nice there.
It was a little after 11 when I started making breakfast. I ate it at my laptop. It took longer than I thought, and when I looked up, it was noon already. I decided to bring a hand project and leave my machine at home. I did not want to drag it through the mud and rain. I put my coat on and left the house, but quickly decided it was too cold and wet to be worth the trip.
I spent some time looking for better prices for practitioner's supplements. Other sites had the same things but under different names. It was a tedious process to compare labels. After I made a purchase, I tried laying on the long foam roller, and circling my arms. It was a good stretch but I wasn't certain my spine was happy teetering on the roller, so I kept it short.
I figured out what I wanted to do with the hem for Chris' costume. I cut some strips and joined them together with netting so that the designs matched up. Then I wanted purple seam binding for the very edge, but the piece I had left was a little too short. I knew I had bought two packages, so I looked high and low for the other one, but with no success. I thought I could make up the difference with homemade binding, but did not have the right shade to pull it off.
Chris came home about 4. He had no packages with him. He said something about getting an interview for a job in Romania. At my request, he tried on the costume pants and demonstrated that they were not too tight to sit in. I pinned up one pantleg to the appropriate length. I listened to a podcast and did some pinning and sewing. I made the same supper as last night. I used the massage ball while listening to another podcast on 5G. I put some of the packages from Nuts.Com away.
At 7, my tapping buddy called. We tapped for my boundary issues, and we shared stories. Afterward, I took some supplements and sat down with Chris to watch Call the Midwife. It was part 2 of a Christmas special. When it was over, I took more supplements, and wrote my blog post. Chris went to bed. After brushing and taking the last supplement, I did a few yoga stretches and went to bed.
* I think this is an example of thread-painting that Carole showed at the meeting on Tuesday. *

Acupuncture for plants?

I didn't take my phone to bed with me last night, so I had no idea what time it was when I got up. I brushed and swished. I made coffee and refilled the jar from the freezer. I wrote up two blog posts, and cropped my pictures from last night. Then I jotted notes for today.
I did my lymph-moving exercises, rebounded and dry-brushed. Beverly called. She told me she had volunteered me to help with a meal in April. It was not good news and I spent the rest of the day fretting about it. I did a lot of tapping and 3 meditations from Deepak. Fortified with coffee, I cleaned the bathrooms and took a shower. I picked alternative dishes, washed them, and put them where only I will look for them. Then I cleaned the kitchen and sewing area. After having taken all the supplements in order, I made breakfast, and ate it while clearing e-mail.
I started listening to a podcast, but had to pause it to go to the Korean clinic on time. Dr. Lee wanted me to help him with an e-mail, but there wasn't one like he described. Then he brought her sewing machine over and a pair of pants. It was missing a cover plate so he cut a piece of card and taped it in place. Then he went in the back and I went out to my car to get a scrap of fabric. I re-threaded the machine, rewound part of the bobbin, and put the machine through its paces. I examined the pants and saw that they needed hemming. Since the thread was white and the pants were black, I did not do the hem, but zigzagged the raw edge of one. The machine was a cheap beginner machine that did not have a stitch length regulator or a stitch width regulator. She was very happy to see that it was working again.
I brought my sickly poinsettia and she said she could help it out. He suggested using needles, ha, ha. She said she would make it better and give it back to me. He drew me a foot bath and afterwards I used the foot massage machine. Then it was almost 4, so I went home. It was not raining, so I went for a walk.
When I got home, I took the mid-afternoon supplements. William called. I am not sure which of the subjects he mentioned was the actual purpose of his call. Probably the article on 15 foods that beat cancer. I boiled a bag of something the Koreans gave me, and poured it over some shredded lamb. I also had a small salad made of sprouts. I called Dad, but Faye answered and told me more than he could have. But I had to cut it short to get to choir practice.
I went to the church. As we were all chatting, Jennifer's (the director) watch rang with a phone call from her mother to wish her a happy birthday. While her mother was listening, we all sang the song. Then we sang through the songs in our folder fairly quickly. I need a lot more work on one of them and I guess it will have to be here at home. Next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday so there will be no choir practice.
We got out a little early because the organist is sick and needed to get back to her granddaughter, also sick. I went home the long way. When I arrived, I took the 8pm supplements, and we sat down to watch two episodes of Call the Midwife. Then Chris went to bed while I stayed up to write to my blog.

Back where it belongs

I left my phone in the bathroom last night because it was still on Eastern Standard Time and was going to ring an hour early. I went to bed around midnight. It took awhile to fall asleep, but I did. I heard Chris take a shower in the morning, but dozed off again. Then I heard my alarm ring. I stayed in bed for almost another hour, then got up to tinkle. I laid down again and the next alarm went off. So I got up, and did the usual morning things. I checked the porch from time to time to see if the package came. Chris had pulled the bread machine out, so I put in the ingredients and turned it on. I made up two week's worth of supplements while listening to something. Most of the audios I clicked on this morning were more sales pitches than information. I looked into yin herbs. I listened to the rain. Again. Sigh.
At 10:40 the doorbell rang and there was the package with my keys and cards. I checked to make sure everything was there. If I had been dressed and ready to go, I might have gone to the last few minutes of quilting, but I wasn't. I took a moment to feel the relief at getting all these important cards and keys back. I finished making breakfast and ate it. I ordered more supplements, or rather put them into my carts on Amazon, Swanson, and BulkSupplements, trying to get the best price and have enough in each to get free shipping. It was confusing and I had to leave it for later.
I got dressed and went to the church to enter the offering data into the computer. It was an easy day and I finished early. So I took a bag of offering data from 2018 and shredded most of it. I did not want to tax the machine too much. I dumped the shreds in a large wastebasket and shredded some more, leaving some for next week. Then I took the money to the bank. I had to wait in line, but the deposit itself was quick.
I went home and took my mid-afternoon supplements. I checked the bread, and saw that it was just hot flour. I had forgotten to put the water in. When Chris got home, he had two boxes with him. One had the supplements I ran out of. I opened those, put them into the old containers (because they had different names), and added them to the pill minder. I asked him if he thought I could reuse the cooked flour, and he said it was worth a try. Well, the bread machine wouldn't restart because it was still hot, but a little later I did put water in it and run it again. I had a can of soup for supper, and a packet of salmon. Chris fiddled with my phone until it was back on Central Standard Time.
The rain was light at this point so I decided to go to the guild meeting. I had nothing for show-n-tell but my nametag. And they had a special time for people to show off their nametags. The program was about all the options we have to help with quilts and pillowcases for charities in the area. After the meeting I picked up some bags of projects to do, thinking my February sewing was over, but on the way home I remembered that I hadn't finished Chris' costume yet.
When I got home, I checked the bread. It was a hard dense loaf, but Chris said it would hold him for two days. We listened to the rest of the book on CD. It was mesmerizing and we both fell asleep. When it was over, I couldn't remember how it ended. Hating to waste a good somnolence, I brushed my teeth and went to bed, not stopping to blog.

Lost!

We got up really early, hoping to get to Huntsville by noon so I could go to quilting. He got up when the alarm went off. I stayed in bed a little longer. When I got up, he was playing a game on his laptop. I took the first supplement, then brushed and swished. I got dressed. I organized my stuff and packed my suitcase and all the food boxes. Then I was waiting on Chris. He shut down his computer and went to get a cart. It did not have the hooks that the ones at Ecco Suites have. I packed up my laptop and loaded the cart. Chris finished packing and I took a last look around to make sure nothing was left behind. We rolled the cart to the elevator, and then out to the lobby. At one point, one of the food boxes fell off and the contents fell out. Chris picked it up and the bananas, oranges, peppers, etc. When he moved the cart, I spied another banana that got left behind and I grabbed it.
We loaded the contents of the cart into Chris' car. It was dreary and overcast. I started the next CD of the book on tape. Chris got us onto I-20 and we were on our way home. The story was interesting, but I was sleep-deprived and dozed off, probably more than once. When we were close to the base, I rooted through my purse for my ID, but it wasn't there. I didn't worry because it was probably in my suitcase or one of the gift bags. The guard took Chris' word that I was his wife, and let us go through the gate.
When we got home, we unloaded the car. I looked through all my stuff, but could not find my little black pouch which held my ID, driver's license, credit card, health insurance card, and keys to the house and mail box. Now, I was worried. And Chris was upset. I needed him to be supportive rather than angry and judgmental and I told him so. But I guess he just couldn't do it. I called the two hotels. One said they did not have it and the other said the rooms were still being cleaned. I called Cracker Barrel and Red Lobster also and they did not have it.
I checked my e-mail and there was one from Netflix saying they were having trouble charging my account. That made sense since we got new credit cards last week. So I clicked the link to update our account and entered the new info. But, when they asked for my SSN, it struck me as odd and I did not do that. The page told me it was required, but then moved to the login page anyway and I was able to see what shows we had watched recently. I tried accessing the site without the link and the page names were a little different. I called Netflix and asked if my account info had been update and she said no. So I had been phished! She asked me to change my password and forward the offending e-mail. Chris called the credit card company to cancel our cards. The lady was a little hard to understand and Chris was very brusque with her. I felt badly for her and took over the call.
Afterward, I suggested we cancel the card that was in my black pouch and he said no because he needed it to buy groceries. I applied online for a new driver's license. Just before I hit ENTER, it occurred to me that the original one will show up as soon as I pay for the new one. So I hit ENTER, and printed out the new 30 day temp one. Then Chris suggested I call the hotel again. This time they said they found it, so I asked them to send it overnight and they agreed, asking me to send an e-mail authorizing them to use our credit card for the postage.
I needed to get away from Chris (even though he was going grocery shopping). I called Stacy first, but she didn't answer so I texted Julia. She was ready to go. I remembered temp being 61, so I did not put a coat on. I went outside and she soon joined me. We walked all over the neighborhood because neither of us was in a hurry to go home. She gave me some advice on Celeste's situation.
When we got back, Chris was home from the grocery store. He had a bunch of flowers for me, and he'd gotten a mix of fresh berries for dessert. Chris said the hotel called, saying they had sent my pouch by Fedex and it should be here tomorrow. I put David's flowers in a smaller vase, throwing out the dried ones. Then I put Chris' flowers in the larger one. I tried to play the interview that Mike got working last night, but it wouldn't play at all, so I restarted the laptop. It still wouldn't play at all, in or out of I-Tunes, in any browser, so I powered it down and back up. Again, it would not play and the sound wasn't working. So Chris sat down and fiddled with it. He triggered some kind of major update that took a while to download and install. I was able to use it while it did whatever, but I used the old one so I could be listening to the podcast. Chris had put sweet potatoes in the oven. When they were done, I ate one. I texted with Beverly so she would know that I wasn't coming tomorrow morning (unless my pouch shows up early). Stacey texted that she could go walking at 7, but I told her I had too much catching up to do.
I made up a week's worth of practitioner supplements, but ran out of two of them. I ate salad and lamb for supper. I washed dishes, and left them to dry. We listened to more of the CD's. Chris went to bed while I published two of three missing blog posts and got started on the third. I wished I had an option on my laptop to update and go to sleep, but that wasn't there, so I chose update and shut down.

Not my typical Sunday

We got up about nine. They did not go down to breakfast, and I ate my breakfast in the room. We talked until time to quickly pack and check out. Silvia got a dolly and we loaded it with luggage and gift bags. Silvia paid the bill and Linda and I gave her cash for our share. We drove to Staybridge Suites so they could see Chris' hotel room. We all agreed it was a better layout and would be good for next year. On our way out, Silvia got coffee in the lounge. They both picked up a mint from the basket and we got in Silvia's car. We went to Marshalls so Silvia could return something and we ended up shopping and buying more. Most of what we bought was on sale.
Then went to Cracker Barrel for a late lunch, hoping Mary would join us, but she had to take her husband to the doctor. So we enjoyed lunch together. They got the Sunday chicken special, and I got a steak with collard greens, boiled cabbage, and broccoli. I did not have high expectations for the collard greens, but they were actually very good. Afterward, the rain had stopped somewhat, so we dropped by Celeste's house. There were two trailers in the driveway. Silvia knocked on the door of the house and there was no answer. We knocked on the big trailer and again no answer. I knocked on the little one and some guy mumbled something I couldn't make out. I called for Celeste, but she did not answer. It seemed she was not home, so we left.
We drove to the hotel where Chris was staying. I had bought a heavy box of glass storage containers at a yard sale and Chris moved it to his car. A man asked Chris to jumped his car. While he did that, we went into the lobby where the ladies got some more mints because they were so good. I hugged them goodbye and they left. Chris drove me to Red Lobster to meet Mike and Kelly. We were early so I had time to decide which appetizer to have for my meal (since I had just eaten at Cracker Barrel). When Mike and Kelly arrived, the waitress gave them a minute to decide, then we all ordered. I got the spinach cheese dip and let Chris have all the chips that come with it. We had a good time. Since Mike works in IT, we mentioned various problems that we had with our new laptops. He and Kelly offered to join us in our hotel room to look at the offending software.
Back at the room, Mike spent some time trying to figure out what would cause videos to play for only 10 minutes at a time. Sadly there were not enough clues. But Kelly suggested playing it through I-Tunes. Getting I-Tunes onto my laptop was another story, and I don't recall it all now. However, when all was said and done, my laptop was playing a podcast in I-Tunes all the way through. He did update a bunch of the most likely drivers. We talked about other things too, like his job at the paper and how banner ads work, and such.
It got late and they had to go home. I was tired and went to bed with Chris, not taking the time to blog, and hoping I would remember the day's events later.
* This is one section of our suite. There was also a seating area, and another room with two queen beds, and s bathroom where the sinks were separate from the toilet and shower. *

Saturday with the ladies

I did not sleep well last night, probably not enough magnesium. I woke up at 7:30 EST, but stayed in bed a little longer. I took the first supplement, washed up, then brushed and swished. I did some packing. I got on my laptop, and read e-mail. The battery ran down because the outlet wasn't working, so I plugged it in near the sink. I meditated with Oprah while Chris went down to the complimentary breakfast. I ate one of my breakfasts, then meditated again, trying to catch up. I packaged 36 hours worth of supplements so I wouldn't have to take them all with me. I put together just what I needed and packed it in the little suitcase.
A little after 11, we left the hotel. Chris went to a gas station to fill up, then he took me to Linda's house. She invited us in and we all chatted for a bit until Silvia arrived. Chris put my stuff in Silvia's car, then left.
Linda and I got in with Silvia and went yard saling, just following signs as they came up. It was a little late (being after noon), but we got some stuff, or at least I did. Then we visited several thrift shops in the area. I can't remember exactly which ones. Our last shopping stop was Hamricks. We spent a lot of time there and we each got something. Finally we stopped for supper at an excellent Mexican restaurant near the new ball field. I ordered ceviche and cactus. The cactus was better than it sounds.
After dinner, we went to the hotel where Silvia made a reservation. She showed us pics of her trip to Machu Picchu. It made me want to go. Linda told us about their cruise. I thought it might be nice if one year we all cruised to Greece together. We exchanged gifts. I let the ladies choose which set of placemats they wanted and which set of hanging towels they liked best. I put the rest aside for Mary to choose later. We stayed up late talking, and went to bed at 2.
* I know this post is late and I have some catching up to do. But they need to be published in the right order to maintain the timeline. *

And we were so close...

I got up around 8:15. I brushed and swished. There was a card lying on my keyboard. It had nice verses and Chris had written some nice things in it. I made 4 breakfasts and made up more mixes. I put the breakfast box away and got out another box to hold the breakfasts and the supplements and such. I then turned my attention to my small suitcase. I packed it with clothing and toiletries and a massage ball, etc. Then I ate one of the breakfasts while listening to part of an interview, but it stopped after 10 minutes. I packed food from the fridge. I saw the mailman go by so I brought in the mail. There was a nice Valentine card from MaryAnne and her family. Finally, we packed the car.
Chris did the driving and I supplied the CD's from the audiobook. Traffic was quite heavy at times, but we made decent time. The signage getting onto I-20 was very confusing. I was glad I did not try to drive it myself. We stopped once to use a bathroom and Chris bought a burger and fries. I ate from the food box and took supplements mostly on schedule.
We got into Augusta around 6. But traffic backed up and we had to stop quickly. We helped the people behind us stop as well. My head snapped forward and back, and I got a headache. Chris called the police. I could see a red car behind us with a slightly crumpled hood. After a few minutes, they pulled around us and left. A man in a truck stopped on the side and braved traffic to come over to the car to tell us to pull off the road before another accident happened. Well, he was right. A minute later we heard another collision behind us, though I could not see it in the sideview mirror. We did pull off to the side. The police came, but attended the second collision first so we just sat and waited. Finally the man in the truck left. That was good because his headlights weren't helping my headache. Then the police got to us. Chris did the talking while I watched him in the sideview mirror. And then we were free to go.
We took the next exit and followed the GPS past our hotel. Then we turned around and went back to it. We checked in, then got a cart to carry all of our stuff. When we got to our room, it was very nice. One room had seating and a kitchen and the other had two beds. I thought it would be perfect for the ladies night. Silvia texted me so I told her about it and she asked if I could get a room for tomorrow. So I did. But then the other hotel would not let her out of the first reservation, so I had to cancel. Oh well, maybe next year.
I read e-mail while Chris played his game. I also used the massage ball on my shoulders and back and legs. Then we watched one episode of Call the Midwife. We lost an hour due to changing time zones, so watching a second episode would have gone very late. Usually we connect Chris' laptop to the TV, but it didn't work tonight so we used mine. Afterward, I wrote up my blog post and took supplements, while Chris played his game. Hopefully we will be asleep soon.

It's going to be a cold night

I got up about 8:15. I brushed and swished. I typed up a sheet with my supplement protocol, and printed it out so I could follow it better. I listened to an interview from the summit with the creator of NanoVi. It is supposed to trigger healing processes in the body, and be very relaxing. But the cheapest one is $5000. At first the site showed a location in Huntsville where I could try one, but when I went back to get the name, it would not show me.
I took my supplements as per the schedule. At 11:15 I made breakfast and ate it at my laptop. Then I got dressed and bundled up. I put my sewing machine in the car and went to quilting.
I set up my machine and strung it with black thread. Most of the ladies left when they finished lunch. I edged a rectangle of wool to make a scarf for the Tuesday group. I also edged a name tag. It was nice to just listen to the ladies talk about quilts (and coronavirus).
On my way home, I stopped at the library to return my book and get some books on CD for the trip. Then I brought my plants into garage because the temp is supposed to go down to 26 tonight. Linda called and said we were still on for this weekend. I made more mixes for the food box. I got a new food box, and filled old box with recyclables and put it in the outside bin. Then I whipped up a batch of seed crackers. They were still in the oven when Chris came home. I put some lamb in the toaster oven, then went for a walk. It was awfully chilly and I rushed through it. I brought in the mail which contained our new driver's licenses. I filled a bucket with recycling and took it out.
I swallowed supplements and ate the lamb and salad for supper. I placed an order of nuts and seeds with Nuts.Com. I looked for cheaper versions of the supplements I am taking now.
At 7, my tapping buddy called on Skype. I uncovered my laptop camera so she could see me and we tapped on resistance. Later Chris and I watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. Then Chris went to bed and I stayed up to blog (and do a little yoga for relaxation).

Maybe moving to California

My alarm woke me from a dream where I was looking at fabric in a store and a man from church had fallen down. The store wouldn't let the wife back in so I checked on him and he was ok but not great, so I called an ambulance anyway.
I let the alarm ring itself out and I dozed off. I got up about 8:45. It was raining again. I tested the first urine of the day and it was 5.9. I went to the kitchen to take 'push' supplements and make up some future doses. I boiled water and soaked sprouts. I started my exercises. I took the 'catch' supplements. I jotted notes for my blog while waiting for the router to warm up. I brushed and swished. I put purifying charcoal bags in the master bath and in the fabric room to catch mold spores. I did not light the candle.
I checked e-mail. I turned off the heat and meditated and tapped. Then I took a shower, got dressed, and cleaned the bathrooms. I carried some of the recyclables out to the bin.
I listened to an interview. I taped paper over the camera on my laptop. Too often my screen follows a link that I did not click on but I WAS looking at. I made breakfast and ate it. I paused the interview and went to the Korean clinic. They told me they'd put an offer on a property in California. I told them about eating the root that wasn't a carrot. She acted shocked and exclaimed that I wasn't an herb doctor. He said I should have taken 5 or 6 charcoal capsules at a time.
He asked me to re-certify his student loan. He had an e-mail that said ti would be easy. Ha! The object of the link said our browser wasn't supported. But I found it (Edge) on the list of approved ones. I checked on updates and he'd just had one. So I ignored that message and tried to go on. But none of the options seemed to fit our situation. Eventually I did get in, but then it automatically imported his 2018 tax form rather than the 2019. Since he had just filed this morning, I concluded that we filed too soon. We agreed to try again next week. He brought me a tub of hot water for a foot detox. While I soaked, she talked to me and I didn't understand it all. But she did say she was bringing her sewing machine next week for me to fix or figure out. When I was done, we tried out yoga poses. (I am not sure how that came up). Before I left, she gave me a box of onion juice.
When I got home, I went for a walk because the sun was suddenly shining. I made hummus (and a mess). I ate supper and washed all the utensils. I was getting ready to leave for choir and the rain suddenly came really hard. So I texted her that I wasn't coming in this rain. I went through all the rooms and checked for water leaking in. It made me anxious.
Around 7 it slacked off. I read e-mail, thankful for no leaks. Chris went out to buy me a Valentine card. He had planned to do it while I was at choir practice. Awwww. I listened to another interview from the summit.
Around 8:30, he was ready to watch TV. I sat down with my bottle of vitamin water and watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. The choir director texted that she'd brought me a gift but given it to another lady since I wasn't there. Lentil soup! I took some magnesium and wrote up my blog post, which I had fairly well put together beforehand. And now I am almost ready for bed.

Saving 4%

I got up about 8. I brushed and swished, and lit the candle. I made a list of supplements in the order that I take them. I wrote down the ones I still have to fit into the schedule, then rinsed sprouts. I made up a week's worth of practitioner supplements. I needed to order more, but had trouble getting onto the internet. I rebooted my laptop, but that did not correct the problem. I had to reboot the router. I ran out of time to read e-mail, and still didn't order more supplements.
I got dressed and went to quilting. I looked through the give-away fabric, but didn't see anything I liked. I sat with Beverly. Linda called and we talked about Saturday. Anita brought out some bags of t-shirt remnant and we cut them up for dog bed stuffing.
I meant to leave at 11:30 but was there until almost 12. I came home, and took vit C. I prepared the fat soluble mix. I checked e-mail for a few minutes, then made bone broth to take the supplements with. I finished the list, and blew out the candle.
I went to the church, and entered the offering data. When the task was done, I tried to make a change in an entry from last November without success. I went to talk to the organist, but it was a different lady playing the piano. After talking to her for some time, I went back to the office and figured out how to make the change. I printed a new list for the organist. I packed up, locked up, and went to the bank to deposit the funds.
I went home and took the midafternoon supplements. I opened a Swansons box that Chris brought home from the post office. One item didn't look right so I prepared the return label. That is when I discovered a big sticker on the top that said Same Item – New Look. Sigh. I put the supplements away. I made a salad for supper and ate it. Then I had to run to church for a stewardship meeting.
I brought my red folder with me. But it turned out not to be necessary. We did not talk about reports and such. Instead, we talked about recommending ideas about updating our facility to the council. And other ideas as well. I guess this year our meetings will be entirely different.
When I got home, the rain had stopped. I had some yogurt and seed crackers, then took the supplements I was supposed to take before I left. Chris pulled up Call the Midwife while I got my vitamin water. We watched two episodes. He loaded the dishwasher and went to bed. I took my dishes out and washed them by hand, then ran the dishwasher. I searched the internet for identical but cheaper products to what the practitioner wants to sell me. I managed to save 4%. I am not sure it was worth my time. Because of that, I went to bed very late.

Tea tomorrow

I got up around 8. It was raining. I took the first supplement. I lit the candle and placed it in the master bathroom. It is for mold, but also might help the smell of the vomit. I read more of my book while completing the morning supplement regimen. Finally I turned on my laptop and checked e-mail. I listened to one of the speakers on The Genius of your Genes summit. He said most autistic children are poor methylators.
After breakfast, I got dressed. I decided not to go to quilting after all because I don't like driving in the rain, plus a funeral was also taking place at the church and I didn't want to take up a parking spot.
I put on another interview, and did some sewing. Then I sat and finished my book.
I vacuumed the bare floors and then mopped. I started with the floor in front of the hall bathroom, and went down one side of the hallway to the kitchen. I mopped all of that, then worked my way back to the bathroom. While the floors dried, I wiped vomit from the toilets, walls, door and tub. Then I mopped the floor and threw out the wash water. I mopped the kitchen again with the water left in the mop.
I went back to reading e-mail. Chris came home, and brought in two boxes he found on the porch. I never heard the doorbell ring. One held a new teapot. I put it in the sink to get washed. I went back to reading e-mail. I looked through all the offering sheets to find a missing check. I deduced that the giver did not have an envelop number at the time so it was not credited to her number.
I ate a banana with a handful of nuts. Then I made a big salad for supper and put an egg on it. I also had a bit of yogurt and pumpkin cream. Then I washed the dishes and the teapot.
The rain had stopped so I texted my neighbor to see if she wanted to go for a walk. But when I didn't hear back from her, I found other things to do. I sent a photo of fabric to the desktop computer. I imported it to Kaleidoscope Kreator and played around with wedges of different sizes. I wanted to get a feel for how large pieces should be to get the best effect. I started watching videos by Bob and Brad, physical therapists on Youtube. I had moved on to another video when Chris was ready to watch TV. We sat on the couch and watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. I sipped magnesium water and vitamin water.
After the show, I took the next round of supplements and wrote my blog post. I'll be brushing my teeth soon and doing a bit of yoga to relax before going to bed.

Beware of carrots

I got up at 7:30. I brushed and swished and took a shower. I checked the weather, then put on a dress. I washed dishes, and did some sewing. At 9 I left for church. I arrived a little early for the choir warm-up. I talked to people before and after singing. Doris showed us an afghan that she made. She said it took an hour to do each inch.
I sat in the pew and waited for Don. His hair was sticking up and I tried to calm it down. I handed him an envelop for his offering. During the service, the pastor talked about Jesus telling his disciples that they are salt and light. After the service, I helped Don put money in the envelop and I took it up to the offering plates. I moved the money to the safe. I told Don I would be absent next week, but that many people would watch over him. One person showed me her giving statement and said there was a check missing. I promised to look into it.
Then I went home. I took vitamin C, changed my clothes, boiled water for nuts, and took the fat-soluble supplements. Then Chris and I went to Publix. The parking lot was crowded so he dropped me off. I submitted bags and styrofoam for recycling. Then we shopped for groceries. When we got home, we put the food away. Then he prepared a lamb roast while I made my breakfast. I read some e-mail as I ate. Then I texted Stacey to see if she wanted to do something. I got out the stuff we dug up yesterday and planted some of it in pots. Stacey came over and helped me plant the rest. We used dirt from pots whose occupants had died. But in the digging, I found carrots that I thought were dead. I showed them to Chris and he said they probably were carrots. I washed them off and tasted it. I offered him some and he took a bite. Then I ate the rest, saving the top for replanting.
When Stacy and I were done planting, we walked to the Express. She asked if I wanted to see the PX and I said yes, so we walked over there. We roamed around the store. I picked out a trowel and a packet of seeds. She got a diet coke. Then we went into the commissary to look around. Finally we walked back to our neighborhood. We'd been gone for hours and it was getting dark.
When I got in the house, I could smell the lamb cooking. It was appetizing. I took the mid-afternoon supplement and went to the bathroom. Then I wasn't feeling so good. I read, hoping to take my mind off of it, but eventually the heaves came. When they were done, I drank some water. I laid down, but the heaves came again. I drank more waer and laid down. But it wasn't over. This time Chris threw up too. We both took activated charcoal. I read some more, but the charcoal did not stay down. I took more. Chris' came up, too. Trying to read my book, my stomach interrupted 5 or 6 times. I lost count. I apologized to Chris for offering him a bite of the carrot.
Around 9, I told him I was ready to watch TV. But he had put the food away uneaten and was coming to bed. We cuddled for awhile and might have fallen asleep, but my legs started cramping. So I had to get up and take some magnesium. I decided to write to my blog before going back to bed. Chris couldn't sleep so he got up too. Before I go to back to bed, I offer one piece of advice - beware of carrots.

Two walks!

I got up after the 8:30 alarm. Chris stayed in bed while I started my day the usual way. I got a little worried, but he said he was just tired. I started reading e-mail and got caught up looking into something else. I can't remember what just now, probably an e-book. Chris gave me a coconut oil massage before stripping the bed to wash the sheets. I was done with breakfast by noon. I meditated with Deepak. I sat by a sunny window to read my book. It was quite chilly outside.
At 3 I decided to go for a walk. I invited Chris to join me and he surprised me by agreeing. So we walked up the hill at the back of the neighborhood and came round by the main road and then home. I tried to make conversation, but just didn't have much to say.
When we got back, we folded the laundry together. I cleared e-mail and made more vitamin water mix. Stacey called me to ask if I wanted to go walking with her. I said we could hunt for wild daffodils and she was ok with that. So I put on a coat and hunted up two trowels and a bag. She came over, and we headed toward the Space and Rocket Center side of the neighborhood. We found some daffodils which hadn't bloomed yet and we dug them up. She was also kind enough to dig up some of the peony root. It was no easy task. My cheaper trowel was ruined in the clay soil. We put our treasures in a grocery bag and walked home, talking all the way.
When we got to my house, we met my neighbor walking her two dogs. One was new and she told us about him. Then Stacey went home and I put my bag of plants in the laundry room because it was too dark to plant.
I made a big salad for supper and finished off the ham. Then I looked online for the cheapest place to order a DUTCH test. When Chris was ready to watch, I made magnesium water and sipped it while we watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. I can't get over how real they seem, often moving me to tears. Then Chris and I dressed the bed. He asked me if this was a good day, and I said I wouldn't know until I read my blog post. I took some supplements and sat down to write this blog post. Soon it will be time to get ready for bed.

Messy or much improved?

I got up at 8:15, waiting for the alarm to go off, and then remembering that it had, but I ignored it. I took the first supplement, then brushed and swished. I soaked the sprouts. I lit the candle and put it in the bathroom. I looked at glass teapots on Amazon and at Target. The ones on Amazon are half the price of Target. I made a belt from a curtain tie-back.
I got a text that Judy was stopping by to bring me something. So I cleaned up, which meant mostly shoved stuff in closets. When I was done, it was messy to the untrained eye, but Chris would surely notice. I pulled wilted stems from the bouquet, and placed it on the coffee table. When Judy came by, she handed me a wooden foot pedal adapter that her husband made. I gave her money. She pointed out snow
flakes. They were hard to see, kind of like dandruff.
I took supplements on schedule. I made more spice mix. I looked at different brands of NMN. I placed an order for that and a teapot. I made and ate breakfast, then meditated for 15 minutes. I bundled up against the cold, and went for a half hour walk.
When I got back, I tried to call Chris to make sure he was going by the post office. I took the midafternoon supplement. Chris came home, having gone by the post office, but not finding any packages. He told me he was going gaming tonight. I called Dad. He said the caregiver left early. I called Faye. She was stopping for gas so couldn't talk. I did something, and then Faye called back. We talked about options for Dad when his physical therapy appointments have ended. I looked for senior balance classes near him. After the call, I ate a big salad for supper, and made vitamin water. I finished listening to some audios while sipping vitamin water every 5 minutes. I messaged with Gwenda for a bit, then listened to a tapping audio.
After that, I watched two episodes of Royal Pains, and used the massage ball on my shoulders and legs. I made up five days worth of detox mix, then washed my dishes. I started writing my blog. Gwenda messaged me again. Chris came home from gaming. I finished my blog post and got ready for bed. I have been doing a bit of yoga each night and that helps me relax.

Another broken pot

I stayed in bed, waiting for the alarm to go off. When I got up, it was 9. Clearly I failed to hear the alarm, or it didn't go off. I lit the citrus extract candle and put it in the master bathroom where the mold must be. I brushed and swished. I sterilized a jar and put some pumpkin coconut cream in it for the chiropractor. I read some e-mail. I put water in the teapot to heat and it leaked out. It was then that I realized it had a crack in it. It must have happened yesterday when I washed it. But why?
I saw a message from Pat but I could not tell if she needed a ride or not, so I called her. She said she had other plans. Then I had to rush out to see the chiropractor. Linda called while I was on the way, so I made a mental note to call her later. When I got to the office, I was right behind an older man. But for some reason, the assistant took me in first for the 'therapy'. She put electrodes on my back and strapped me to a table that stretched my spine for 12 minutes. I wasn't in any discomfort before, but had some afterward.
Then she put me in room 2 to wait for the doctor. I stretched my legs and arms, then sat down. When Dr. Bryant came in, I gave him the pumpkin cream and told him it needed cinnamon. He seemed pleased. I told him my neck was tight and I was grinding my teeth. He adjusted my neck and sphenoid on the horizontal table, and then adjusted my spine on the other table. My jaws felt better afterward.
I checked out at the front desk while he took the jar into the kitchen to eat the cream.
I called Linda back when I got home. We talked about the long weekend. I made breakfast. I checked on the candle and it had gone out. So I lit it again and put it back on the toilet seat.
Then I went to quilting. Lots of ladies were there because it was pot luck day. I set up my machine beside Melissa. I worked on towels, and listened to Pat talk, then chatted with others. At 2, I packed up, and went home. I took the mid-afternoon supplements, then went for a walk, checking for wild daffodils as I went. When I got back, I blew the candle out, then worked on the sleeves of the costume. I put on a podcast to listen to, but it kept stopping, which required me to refresh the page and try to find the spot where it stopped. When the sleeves were finished, I took the supper supplements, and ate bean soup (almost gone now), seed crackers, and an egg. I texted with Newegg which is where we ordered the laptop, hoping they had a solution to the interrupted podcasts. But after a lengthy procedure to prove my laptop was indeed purchased from them, the rep said I had to contact HP.
My tapping buddy came online at 7. We tapped for dental anxiety, and it went down a lot. Then Chris sat with me and we watched one episode of Call the Midwife. Afterward, Chris made his lunch and I sat down to write this blog entry. It was pouring down rain - again.

Flawless

I meant to get up early, but I somehow missed the first alarm. So I got started at 8:30 with brushing and two rounds of swishing. I made coffee, and looked for meditation music on the desktop computer. But somehow I got sucked in to reading comments on a Youtube video about Easter eggs in the first episode of Picard. Then I did my exercises, rebounding, and skin brushing. I listened to the same Oprah meditation twice because the first time it rained so hard that I missed several parts. Also, the next meditation would not play. I did some light cleaning in the kitchen, then took a shower. I took supplements from the first up to the vitamin C and fat soluble ones.
I jumped in my car and went to Beverly's house to pick her up. I dropped her off at her doctor's office, and went home. There wasn't much time so I ate seed crackers and took supplements, then went to Korean clinic.
Dr. Lee had a phone number for me to call. I called and had to wait. Finally a man listened to my story then put me on hold while he checked it out. Then he told me that the IRS was taking out money because the info was old, but it has been updated now so it shouldn't happen any more. I suggested Dr. Lee try sending a $10 charge through to see if deductions were still being taken out.
Then he had me reserve him a rental car at LAS. They are going to look at property in California. Afterward, he set up a detox foot bath for me. She talked to me while I sat there. I showed her the hard spot on the bottom of my heel and she said it was a corn and when it got bigger she would burn it off.. Maybe I don't have plantar faciitis after all?
The water remained clear like nothing was happening, but then she told him to add more water. After he did, the color started to change. She brought me ginger tea. She said making your own from a ginger root is not good. It might have mold on it, and you can't control the dosage. I didn't know you could overdose on ginger tea. She gave me a packet of seaweed, saying it was very expensive. Since she got it at the Asian market a few doors down, I wondered just how expensive it could have been.
I went home and found Chris there. I checked my messages and saw that choir practice was canceled because of an impending storm. So I went for a quick walk. The rain hit just before I got back so I ran home. There was a box on my chair so I opened it. It had a supplement in it. I put it away. I checked the house mail and brought it in. I marked one of them 'not at this address' and put it back in the drop box.
I took off the ends of the sleeves on Chris' kimono costume. I ate supper, which consisted of breakfast and bean soup. Then I cut some strips to add to the sleeves so they would be longer. I got the first one just about done by the time Chris was ready to watch TV
We had a disc from Netflix called Flawless, with Michael Caine. We watched that, listening to the pounding rain, and then I was surprised to see that it was after 10. Chris made his lunch and went to bed. I stayed up to write this post and take evening supplements.

Colloidal silver could be the answer?

It was after 8 when I got up. I brushed and swished. I got dressed and checked e-mail. I took all the supplements through protein. Then I went to quilting. It was raining so I was glad the machine was already in my trunk.
When I got there, I left the machine until I was certain it was needed. I went in and found the ladies sitting around two tables. I checked out the give-away pile, but there was nothing that caught my eye. Beverly gave me a bag of squares to sew for charity – when I have the time. We talked for awhile, then I helped Anita go through bags of wool scraps to judge their suitability for making scarves for the homeless. She and I trimmed the pieces into rectangles. Others were discarded to the dog bed pile. Susan took some scraps for embellishment, I think. One by one the ladies left. When the pieces were trimmed, Anita wanted to sew. But it was already after 11, so I said goodbye to her and the former science teacher.
When I got home, I finished the supplement regimen and made breakfast. I made up a week's worth of supplements from the practitioner. Beverly called to ask me to take her to an appointment tomorrow afternoon. I meditated with Oprah and Deepak. At 1, I left for church, stopping on the way to fill up with gasoline. The rain had let up enough that it was ok.
When I got to church, I noticed my odometer precisely on 14000. I went to the church office and entered the numbers in the computer and printed the reports. I shredded some extra copies of previous reports. Tim arrived and showed me how to print the yearly reports. Then we sat and stapled papers together and put address stickers on envelopes. But we did not finish because he had to go to the dentist. As he was leaving, Elaine showed up. She and I met in the garden room and did clearings for substances she brought. She mentioned swishing with colloidal silver and it made me think I could do something similar to kill the bacteria crawling under my filling.
We left at the same time. She went home and I went to the bank to make the deposit. When I got home, Chris was home, sitting at his laptop. I put colloidal silver on a Q-tip and placed it on my back tooth. I bit down on it to soak the filling.
I thought it was too dreary a day to go for a walk, but changed my mind when I had to go outside to empty a bag of dried herbs. So I walked around the circle, which helped pass the time. When I got back, I added some things to my Swansons cart. I finished sewing the band on Chris' costume. I decided to hem the yellow foundation garment. I pulled out a piece of purple for that. Then I took a break to eat supper – mostly bean soup and a salad. I messaged back and forth with Gwenda, then went back to sewing.
When Chris was done with his game, I prepared some magnesium water and drank it while we watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. In the second one, Jenny's love interest dies and she is heartbroken. The reverend mother tells her that God is not in the events but in the response. Hmm.
After the show, Chris tried on the costume for me. I felt the sleeves were too short, but was not certain I wanted to put in the effort to insert more fabric. Then he went to bed. I stayed up to blog and get ready myself.

A visit with the dentist

I got up a little after 7, surprised to see it was so early. I got a head start on supplements. I brushed and swished. I dressed in green because Gwenda said she was going to wear David's favorite color today. I had to look up some of the supplements to remind me why I was taking them. I finished making 14 days of supplements. I swept the kitchen, and texted with Faye. She sent me a pic of the service. I went outside for better reception so I could download the pic. What a nice sunny day it was! No coat necessary. I talked to Mary, who was on a long trip. I made breakfast, and vitamin water for the day. I listened to podcast for awhile, then carefully brush and flossed breakfast away.
At 11 I went to the dentist. I read a book in the waiting room. When I was called back, she led me to a room with a small cup of germ killer. I waited until she left, then pretended to swish with it. I poured it out. She came back with a back massage unit, which she put on the chair. After I sat down against it, she covered me with a blanket and brought me a warm neck pillow. For some reason I did not have any hot flashes. She prayed with me for my cousin's family. Then she took x-rays, and cleaned my teeth. Afterward, the dentist came in for a look. I knew she was going to suggest a crown or two. She said there was enough bacteria under the filling to show up on the x-ray. We discussed my concerns about getting a crown. She did not think it would get infected like the first one did.
After she left, I was taken to an office. I straightened the pictures on the wall until a lady came in with a printout of recommended treatments and associated costs. We talked for some time. I agreed to the treatments and we went round and round trying to fit the dentist's schedule to mine. Finally we agreed on something and I left.
It was after 2. I headed to quilting, but on the way decided it was too late plus the day was too gorgeous to be inside. I went home, changed my shoes, and went for a walk. My foot bothered me very little. When I got back, I opened the doors. I saw a missed phone call from the dental office. They had to move the next appointment. Then I sat in the back yard and read my book, almost finishing it. When I went inside, I found Chris sitting at his computer. I greeted him. We talked. It was a little early for supper, but I put something together anyway. It was such a nice day and I didn't want it to end.
I pinned a purple fleece strip to the costume and started sewing. The sewing foot pushed the fabric so much that I had to take the pins out before I got to them. The strip wasn't long enough so I added another one. I was surprised to see that it was not the same width as the first. So I cut an inch off of the first one. When both were sewn to the front, I threaded a needle and started sewing the back down.
When Chris was ready, we sat on the couch and watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. It was an emotional rollercoaster as usual. Chris held me while I cried. Finally I told him he could go to bed. I took supplements and wrote my blog post, then got ready for bed.
* Faye sent me this pic before the service for David started. I heard the church was packed and people waited to get in. *
