Itching for relief

Last night I put on a Youtube audio of sleep music. I left the router on because the desktop is hardwired for ethernet. I could just barely hear the music in my bedroom. I don't know if it helps with sleep since the bites on my legs were so itchy that I had trouble sleeping. When I did sleep, I woke up scratching. I tried several things but nothing did much.
I woke up before my alarm went off. I tried to go back to sleep but that didn't work so I arose and soon heard my phone alarm in the next room. I used a hot spoon to stop the itching. I wish I had thought of it last night. I listened to the next episode of Pain Revealed. They mentioned stem cells again today, but also hyperbaric oxygen.
I took mimosa pudica every half hour during coffee morning, meditation and tapping. I washed dishes. I was going to mop the floor with a cheap sponge mop from a yard sale. But the mop head was too wide for the bucket. So I used the new string one from Publix. It cleaned really well and was easier to wring out that I supposed. I took a shower and read e-mail until my hair dried. Then I got dressed and went to see the Korean doctors.
It was raining when I left, but not so much when I arrived at the clinic. They were happy to see me. I showed her the tick bite. She wanted me to check on her student loan. As usual I had trouble logging into her account. Nothing had been done. I made a call and the rep assured me everything would be fine.
Then Dr. Lee offered me a foot bath. Dr Grace gave me the box of coconut curry packets that they bought but thought were too spicy. I put it in my car, then sat down for the foot bath. A lot of black stuff came out. Heavy metal, he said. Before I left, he gave me two of their special onions to treat the bites with.
I went to the post office on the way home. Something for Chris and something for recycling. When I got home, I found a package on the front porch from Amazon. For some reason I never got around to opening it. I checked the house mail and there was the coldlaser that I had ordered. I used it on one of the bites and a mole. I boiled one of the coconut curry packets for 5 minutes and left it to sit while I dealt with other stuff that needed putting away. Then I poured the contents into a dish and added chopped liver. It was not bad at all. It did not seem spicy to me, which is why the doctors didn't want it. Then I made a salad and ate it while listening to something.
I sewed some squares together into 16-patches. I sorted through several of the fabric tubs in the garage. I separated out the yardage from the leftovers. There were lots of calicos and ginghams, and such. Not really my taste. One tub was full of patriotic fabrics. I figured I could pass that on to a QOV group.
At 8, I was still sorting fabrics. When I stopped, I put on Royal Pains. It was good, so I watched another episode. Just as I was about to queue up Frasier, Chris called on skype. We talked a bit while I rubbed my bug bites with a piece of onion. That did not seem to take the itch away. I used the laser pen again, on some bites and some acupressure points. Then it was time for bed.
* More heavy metals this week than last week. *

Three hearts and a tongue

Last night, I chewed up a plaintain leaf and put in on the tick bite with a bandaid over it. I meditated before I went to bed but I don't think it helped me fall asleep.
I woke up hearing the alarm and staying in bed until the sleep cycle was ended. I started the morning routine. Cathy texted me if she could come at 10:30 instead of 11:15. I considered how to rearrange my schedule, then texted ok. I washed up and got dressed. I had been putting stuff in my large mondo bag for Tuesday and now it was time to take it.
I went to quilting. The ladies were signing a card for Jane. I wrote something in it. Beverly arrived. I had a few things in my bag for her. Gwen showed me her stack-n-whack blocks. Anita got up to make some announcements and I got a text. Cathy said she was on her way to my house!
I left quickly and went home. But she was parked in my driveway and opening her trunk. I walked up to greet her, then went inside to open the garage door. She pulled 5 tubs of various sizes out of her car an d put them in the garage. Then she had to go back to work. I thanked her and she left. I grabbed one tub which was large but not too heavy and put it in my trunk. And I went back to quilting.
The bin held lengths of wool. Beverly helped me spread it on the table and invited the ladies to take what they wanted. One of the ladies suggested that we could use it to make scarves for the homeless, and the idea caught on. Most of them left after that. Several of us stayed to stuff dog beds. My job was to cut up t-shirts that were leftover from another group that cut strips from them to make jump ropes. We worked until after 12:30, but then I had to go.
It was 1 till I got home. I put out the recycling and made breakfast. I ate it while listening to Pain Revealed. I paused it at 2 to go to the church and record the offering on the computer. I was finished by 3. Elaine came over and she muscle-tested me for all the supplements I brought. There were some surprising results. Then she left and I went to the bank to make the deposit.
I still had energy left so I went to the farmer's market. I stopped at the meat place first. She came out with a bag of organ meats. I bought three hearts and a tongue. I gave her some glass jars to collect buttermilk for next time. Then I went to the goat farm stand to get pecan cheese. It is so good! I also got lettuce and peaches in other places.
Elaine had recommended Cats Claw as an anti-spirochete. So I stopped at Ruth's Nutrition to pick up a bottle. The lady there recommended treating the tick bite with colloidal silver. My next stop was the tiny Asian market that sells fresh young coconuts, and I got two. Then I went home.
I checked the house mail and found ads. I put colloidal silver on the tick bite and all other bites. I finished watching Pain Revealed. It ended with a doctor shoving a balloon up the patient's nose to re-align the bones of the skull. Then I started playing an anti-aging interview. It was complex and I needed a break, so I put on pants and mowed the lawn. Then I trimmed part of the yard by the fence. After that, I made a big salad for lunch/supper and had some pecan cheese. I went for a short walk around the circle to interrupt the cycle of eating.
I began to wonder why I wasn't opening all the tubs to examine the contents. I brought in one tub and looked through it while the interview played. I paused it when William called. Oddly, moments after he hung up, Chris called on skype. He was trying to apply for a job in Guam but the system was down. We talked about other things as well. After his call, I went back to listening to the interview and taking notes. But it was long and I needed another break. I watched an episode of Frasier. Then it was time for my blog but, because someone in the Monday group had suggested it, I watched the first episode of Royal Pains. It was actually pretty good and I think I have a new show to look forward to each night.
It was after 11 when I started writing my blog. I didn't mean to get to bed so late, but maybe now I can fall asleep faster.

Finding the safest place

I woke up to my alarm at 7:30. I stayed in bed a little bit, then got up. I started the whole brushing, swishing, supplement thing. I put on the next episode of Pain Revealed. I put some water in the teapot to heat. Then I filled a large bowl with hot, soapy water to wash dishes. I don't know what happened next, but I found myself sewing squares together and pressing them and trying to figure out if I had enough for a quilt top. I walked into the kitchen and realized the teapot was completely dry, and blackened. I turned off the gas and left it to cool down. Sigh.
I took a few more supplements, then made and ate breakfast. I washed dishes, and scrubbed the blackened teapot. It did not all come off. I looked for matching thread to go with a project, then gathered my things and headed to quilting.
The ladies had finished lunch. I found a place in the back to set up. I chatted with Dinah. She said the hospice people liked the children's quilt I donated because they did have kids there. Sigh. I opened the faceplate of my machine and found a covering of lint under it. Yikes! I pulled a Q-tip from my bag and pulled it all out. I sewed around the leaves on a wallhanging, pausing many times because it was tedious work. Cathy texted me that she needed my address to bring me tubs of fabric tomorrow. I talked to Lauri and Alice and both Carolyns. Then everyone left and it was just me and Carolyn. When she packed up, I did as well. And we left together.
On the way home, I stopped at the post office. There was a package from Swansons for me. When I got home, there was another package on the front porch. I just assumed it was for me. But when I opened it, the items inside were more Chris-centered. I put away the supplements in the other box. I had nuts and a piece of chocolate and seed crackers and a banana for lunch.
The air still smelled burnt from this morning. I went outside to mow the lawn. I did not get even half way before the battery got weak. I plugged it in to recharge. I opened the garage door and moved a few boxes around to make room for the upcoming tubs of fabric. I went outside to clip the grass along the back fence. Squatting down to grab the blades of grass, I realized that this must be how I got all the bug bites on my inner thighs. Something that bites lives in the grass.
I came in and wiped off the sweat. I made new batches of mixes for the breakfast box and put it away. I checked wifi signals with my laptop to find the place with the fewest. It was right in front of the TV. There was a small laptop there that we use with the TV, It was more sensitive to wi-fi and showed signal from someone's bedroom speakers and printer, etc. Just for giggles, I scoped out the wi-fi in the back yard and there were more signals out there. I set up a small table in front of the TV and moved my laptop there.
I got a call from the care agency who wanted to give Dad physical therapy tomorrow. After settling arrangements with them, I called Dad to tell him what to expect. Faye came to take Dad to a medical appointment so I talked to her for a short while, too. Then I checked e-mail and watched paint pouring videos. I made a large salad with a bit of liver on top. I ate it while watching a video on gut health.
I watched the second episode of Another Life. The story line was mildly interesting but I could not warm up to the characters. I paused it to talk to Chris when he called. Then I watched two episodes of Frasier.
I took a break to get ready for bed. Then I sat down to write up my blog post. I plan to listen to a meditation before turning off the laptop and going to bed.
* I forgot to mention that I laid out another strip set. *

Finishing the quilt top

My tick bite was still bothering me. So last night I put a glutathione patch on it before I went to bed. The bite was better this morning, As tired as I was last night, it still took me awhile to get to sleep. My alarm woke me at 7:30. I stayed in bed another half hour, then got up. I took a shower and read e-mail while my hair dried. Then I got dressed. I put on heels and put a pair of flats in a bag for later.
I went to church with a bag of moringa tea for Jennifer, but she didn't come. I greeted Stacey who was in the narthex with Eric. He said he blamed me for all the stuff she bought at the estate sales. I sat with Don. He seemed shaky today. I helped him walk over to Roz and greet her. Then the service started. At communion, he clutched my arm all the way to the rail and back. I prayed for God to give him strength and balance. After the service, he got up and walked to the cloak room to get his rollator. I followed him, surprised. Cathy said she would bring me some tubs of fabric one day this week. Then I went back into the sanctuary for the generational discussion.
The pastor put up a slide showing the generations across the top and topics down the side. He and his wife discussed how each generation views each topic. It was interesting. He held it to an hour, plus a few minutes. Then I headed to Publix for groceries.
When I got home, I changed clothes and put the food away. I ate lunch and took the lunch supplements. I added another border to the quilt. I made more spice mix, then listened to the next episode of Pain Revealed while I made breakfast and took those supplements. I listened to the book on CD while cutting strips for the next strip set. I looked up beach scenes to get an idea of the colors involved. I went for the weekend walk, which is longer than the daily walks. When I got back, I finished the book on CD while eating supper and taking the associated supplements. I put a vitamin C patch on the tick bite.
I opened Skype on my laptop and Chris called me. He must have been watching. We chatted for awhile. Neither of us had much to say. Afterward, I watched the first episode of Another Life on Netflix. I'll probably give it another shot, but was not impressed so far. I brushed, then swished with glutathione. I turned on Wholetones and took some supplements. Then I wrote my blog post.

* Today's episode talked about using low dose Naltrexone for pain, as well as trigger point injections, cold water therapy, and exosomes. *

Estate Sales

Even though I went to bed really late last night, I woke up early. So I started my morning routine early. Housing sent an e-mail a few days ago saying that anyone could have a yardsale today because it was the last Saturday of the month. So I put on my fanny pack and went for a walk, looking for sales. I found one a few streets over. I almost missed it, but there was sign out front. It wasn't just an open garage door. I went inside. They had tools, kids stuff, kitchen stuff, books and clothes. I bought a t-shirt, a quilt book, and two folders.
As I was walking toward the circle and deciding which way to go, I got hailed by a car. It was Stacey and Eric, looking for yard sales. I told them about the one I had been to. She invited me to go with her to estate sales and I agreed.
I walked home, not seeing any more sales. I puzzled out a pink and blue border for the quilt top. I finished my morning supplements and made breakfast, not knowing when she would call. For some reason, I could not finish breakfast. I went back to quilting and listened to the next episode of Pain Revealed. There was a lot of talk about exosomes this time, and breath-holding practices.
Stacey sent a text that she wanted to leave at 1. So when it rolled around, I turned off my sewing machine and walked over to Stacey's house. She called up the first sale on her phone, and we followed the map to Green Mtn rd. We stopped at two yard sales on the way and I got a mop.
The first was a large house, and the estate sale was almost over. Still, we looked around upstairs and down and in the garage. It was pretty picked over. Still, we each found a few things. Then we went to the second one, which was on the other side of town. Again, we each found a few little things. She got something for her husband. On the way back from the second one, she said we could stop at one place of my choosing. So I chose the Humane Society Thrift Shop. I found some paints there. There were dogs walking through and a cat napping in a chair. She got a drink from the machine.
When we were on our way back, I realized I did not have my ID, or my driver's license. She said I didn't need either since she had a military ID. I had my doubts, but the guard took one look at her ID and let us through.
When I got home, I ate a bit of lunch. I put the kitchen cutting mat I had just bought on my cutting table. I ran my rotary blade through a foil wrapper, turning it to confetti to sharpen it. Then I cut strips for the next border and sewed them on. I ate liver and onions for supper. I watered the plants out front and in back. I got sleepy and laid down for a bit. I read the last chapter of the book “The Girl from Everywhere”. I checked e-mail.
I watched three episodes of Frasier. I took my evening supplements and wrote to my blog. I called Chris, but he didn't answer. I was tired so I put my computer to sleep, and got ready for bed.
* I did not buy it, but I did come across a calculator that I can see without my glasses. *

Farm Burger

Getting ready for bed, I put some lavender oil on a mosquito bite and discovered it had a seed tick in it. ARRGGH! I used a lighted seam ripper to get it off, but the head remained. I put some neem oil on it. I promptly forgot about it when I excreted something I won't describe here. I ended up reading in bed just to have something more pleasant to thing about. It was hard to stop. But I did force myself not to finish the book so there would be some story left for tomorrow.
My alarm woke me at 7:30. I stayed in bed a little longer, but somehow it was 9:30 when I got up. The tick bite still had some black in it. I performed more contortions to try to see it better and get the black out. I wiped it with rubbing alcohol and witch hazel.
I started my morning routine, abbreviated. I washed up and got dressed, wearing my new footies. The color is lighter than my foot so they are more noticeable than the old ones. I checked e-mail. I read that 85% of wisdom tooth extractions end up as cavitations.
I started listening to episode 3 of Pain Revealed. I heard commotion in the street – a large truck was delivering large recycling cans to each house. Notes from episode 3: Stem cells need blood flow to get there. Usually chronic pain is in tissues without much blood flow. Morning stiffness is classic for mold toxicity.
I ate breakfast, and read e-mail. Then I did some sewing.
I went to lunch with Paige and Mary. I got there first. Paige and I looked at the menu until Mary arrived. Then we got in line to order. Each one of us was given a number on a stand so our order could be delivered. When I asked if they had anything healthy to drink, the lady suggested Coke Zero. Yeah. Right. I got a glass of water. Since we were at Farm Burger, I ordered a grass-fed locally-raised burger. I took some digestive enzymes and ate the whole thing. It was good, but I wasn't all that impressed with the noise or the seating. It was hard to hear my companions talk. After we ate, Paige and I walked around outside. Then I went to Whole Foods and bought some MCT oil. Then I headed home, but stopped at a thrift store looking for craft paint. Then I went to a dollar store, but they didn't have much of a selection. I got black and green, and went to the post office. There was no mail, and I went home.
I meant to go for a walk, but didn't feel like it. I read e-mail while listening to more of Episode 3. I cut some squares and did some sewing. Then I went for a walk. When I got back, I checked the mail and found a DVD from Netflix.
I layered onions and slices of liver in a glass pan and put it in the oven to bake. I watched some more of episode 3, which is like 5 hours long. I read e-mail until the timer rang. It wasn't done yet so I put it back in for another 10 minutes.
I moved my laptop to the guest room because the wi-fi signal from our duplex neighbors was so strong Of course, now the signal from the next house over is stronger than it was. I ate liver and onions for supper. The liver was tender and so I wondered if it wasn't cooked long enough. Chris skyped me. I told him the story I was reading was just the sort of thing Michele would have written. He looked up the author and her books. We talked for a little bit, but he had to go buy milk before the store closed.
I watched The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep. It was a kids movie, which was good because it lacked those 'adult' themes. I was surprised it got so late. I went to the guest room to write my blog post and get ready for bed.

Sewing at home and away

I read in bed last night, not sure how long. It was just the sort of thing Michele would have written. I wondered if I should tell her. But I called her yesterday. Then I turned off the light and went to sleep, although not right away.
I woke up to the alarm. I started my morning routine. I opened a box that came yesterday. There were new footies in there. I washed two pairs and laid them out to dry. There was also a new shower filter, and a brush for drybrushing.
I listened to the second episode of Pain Revealed: Job satisfaction (or lack thereof) is the #1 predictor of chronic pain.
I printed out a new supplement check-off sheet. I stay-stitched around my red quilt top. I made up two weeks worth of vitamins, but ran out of BioCore. I hope it will arrive tomorrow. I made and ate breakfast while listening to a podcast on toxic metals. It made me forget the time and I was late getting to quilting.
I did not have my orange project ready to go, so I grabbed the panel project and some matching thread to quilt with. When I got to the meeting place, I sat and chatted for awhile before setting up my machine. I had a little trouble quilting because the feed dogs would not stay down. I sewed around a few leaves. I got some nice comments on my panel. One of the ladies told a story of her brother setting off a model rocket many years ago. It got caught in the power lines on the way down and he thought it was a goner. But then the wind blew it free. With hope, he followed it with outstretched hands. And then it blew into the street and car ran over it.
When I got home, I had some lunch but forgot to take lunch supplements. I pulled some fabrics from my scrap collection to go with an older project. I listened to the next podcast while trying out borders. I came up with an idea but the next step was to cut squares and my cutting mat was full of strips laid out in order. So I sat down and sewed them all together. The maintenance man stopped by to change the air filter and check the water heater. I swear he wasn't here more than 2 minutes, if that. I ironed the strip set and took a picture.
I decided to go for a walk. I locked the front door, and stuck the key in my decolletage. I walked for 30 minutes. When I got back, there was a package for Chris. I carried it in. I checked our mail, but there was nothing. I made a salad for supper and took both the lunch and supper supplements. I watered the plants, then sat by my laptop.
I texted my tapping buddy and soon we were chatting together. She'd had a busy week so we talked about it first. Then we tapped together. It went over 2 hours. Finally I had to close so I could call Chris. I called him on Skype as well. He didn't have much to say, but he wants to give Herberth money to buy a new engine for his truck.
Afterward, I watched one episode of Frasier, since it was so late. Then I started writing my blog post. I turned on Wholetones and took some night time supplements. I got ready for bed. Instead of reading, I listened to a meditation that Silva is running for 20 days.

Skimming the scams

I read for a long time last night, but it did not make me sleepy. I went to bed around midnight, with Wholetones playing. I woke up a little before my alarm went off. I read some more, while swishing, I exercised and meditated and tapped. I cleaned the bathrooms. I took a shower and got dressed. It was sunny out, so I took a surgical drape outside and sprayed it with basting glue. Then I covered it with a piece of plastic to make it waterproof. I left it to dry in the sun.
The glue nozzle got stuck and would not stop spraying so I turned the can upside down. My hands got all sticky. I washed them with lots of soap but some stickiness remained. I decided it was a good time to wash dishes by hand. I put on the first episode of Pain Revealed, which was mostly about stem cell therapy. The segment showing them harvesting the fat cells was a little disturbing. I washed all the dirty dishes and wiped the counter tops. Then the stickiness was gone.
I left the house and drove to the Korean clinic. She wanted me to check on her student loan and make sure she did not have to pay this year. I had submitted forms last week and hoped they would e-mail her soon with an answer. She got a phone call which claimed to be from the loan company. But I searched the number online and determined that it was a scam.
Then he told me people from Atnt came asking to see his bill and telling him to call a special number to get his bill lowered. It sounded highly irregular to me. I called the number printed on his bill. The special promotion had something to do with Google Fiber, but it was not in his best interest to sign up for it at this time. Then he offered me a detox foot bath. I accepted gratefully.
She told me I had quoted the wrong prices to the people who came in last week. I did not know they had raised their prices. She plans to raise them again if they get a place on the arsenal. She also asked what category holds phrases like 'side by side', 'face to face', 'one on one', etc. I couldn't think of anything. I did a search but nothing came up.
When I was ready to leave, she gave me a month's worth of moringa tea. I thanked her and left. I went to the post office to check our mail. I also tried to buy some train stamps but they were out. Then I went home. I had a drink of water, then went for a walk. When I got back, I started making a salad for supper.
William called to tell me about the washer and dryer he bought off of Craig's List. I called Dad to wish him happy birthday but he did not answer. Kurt texted that they were out to dinner so I asked him to pass the birthday wishes along.
I listened to a whole CD of the book on CD. While it played, I toyed with some numbers for my next quilt. I watched a few paint videos and sent a short one to the Korean doctor. Then I watched an episode of The Good Witch, followed by Frasier. Chris interrupted on Skype. We talked for a little while. Then he had to go apply for more jobs online. I finished Frasier and watched more acrylic pouring videos. I really want to try this!
Then I sat down to write to my blog. I decided to read some more, although the light at night is not so good. Then I did some stretches and went to bed.

No heart for me

Last night, after I had written my blog post, Chris called while I was listening to the book on CD. After we talked, I put the laptop to sleep and listened to a few more tracks. Then I gave up and went to bed because it wasn't working.
I slept pretty well, once I fell asleep. I did not wake until almost 7:30. I got up to start the usual routine. Thinking Rhonda was coming to collect quilt tops, I put my blue one in a bag with blue backing. Then I went to see the Tuesday group.
But it was the wrong week. She is coming next week. I pulled out my orange blocks and a cutting mat to square them up. But they were not wide enough and it stymied me. Such a thing threatens the whole design. Anyway, Beverly arrived and started showing me the quilt top that she worked on during Retreat. Then Anita made announcements. One of them was that there was fabric on the table that needed a new home. Beverly and I got up to do our part. I picked out some yellow and orange for the current quilt, and some blue and brown for a different project already in progress. Beverly told me all about her retreat. She had a lot of fun, but not much sleep. Sadly that would be a deal-breaker for me.
When I left there, I went to the Asian market for kimbap. I took it home and ate it while checking e-mail. I started making breakfast, but got a phone call. Then I got busy with the printer. I printed out a sheet for Susan to read, plus scanned in a pattern from Beverly, then did three copies of a blank offering sheet. I also checked my fabric stash for reddish orange fabrics to complement my current project.
I packed for the afternoon and headed to church. No one was there so I got right to work. There wasn't a lot to do. I entered all of Sunday's offerings in the computer, and printed out reports. Then I went back to January and moved a new member's offering data from Loose Cash to their new number so they would get credit.
Just before I finished, Elaine arrived. We went back to the garden room. We treated each other for sensitivities to whatever we brought. She found she was much less sensitive to perfumes. Then I painted her toenails so she could go on a date with her husband.
From the church, I went straight to the bank to deposit the money. It was too close to 5 for my comfort. But afterward, I back-tracked to the farmer's market and parked on the other side of the railroad. Previously I felt a little uneasy climbing over it with my foot so recently injured. But today it was in perfect shape and the uneven footing bothered me not at all. I gave quick glances at produce as I made my way to the meat stand. She had saved a heart for me. But she kept giving her attention to other people. Finally she told me the heart was too deep in the freezer for her to get it out and she offered me a selection of livers. I got a beef and a lamb. She also had tomatoes and cucumbers so I bought some vegetables too. Then I went to the goat farm stand and got cheese. Then I went home.
It was after 5. I drank some water, then went out to mow. To change things up, I mowed on a 45 degree angle. While I was mowing, the neighbor came out to mow as well. But his push mower made no sound since it did not use gas or electricity.
When I came in, I ate my second meal of the day – salad. I had a lot of veggies on the brink of going bad. I threw in some chicken. Then I sat down to read e-mail. Looking up videos of how to make a parachutes for a stomp rocket, I got caught up watching more acrylic pour videos. It seems I just have to try this, even though it means going to a craft store for supplies.
Chris interrupted a video and we chatted on skype for awhile. He had been having mandatory fun, which means his presence was required at a dinner. But it went well, he said. After he hung up, I finished the video and watched one episode of Frasier. Then I turned on Wholetones and wrote my blog post. I took a few last supplements, and decided to read before going to bed.

Sarah's baby shower

I woke up at quarter of 7. I decided to go back to bed. I didn't really sleep, and then the alarm went off at 7:30. But somehow it was 8:30 when I got up. I started my morning routine. I listened to the rest of the current CD from the book while I got ready. I deleted the first round of e-mail, then started listening to interviews. At 11 I made breakfast. Then I looked for a bag to put a baby gift in. There wasn't a suitable one, so I searched my fabric collection. I found a panel that sews up into a baby alphabet book. I wrapped the hooded baby towel in it. Then I rolled my machine out to the car and put it in the trunk.
I went to quilting. I put the gift on the table, not realizing that all the other gifts had been opened. The ladies were just finishing up a baby shower lunch. The mother-to-be had opened her gifts already. As she opened mine, I saw another hooded baby towel. Oh well. Then she had us all get in a picture together and held up the quilts and baby blankets she received. I had forgotten my phone so could not take any pics.
I set up in the back and worked on the orange quilt. I was able to socialize with other ladies who did not run off after lunch. Rebecca said she had to finish a turtle quilt by the end of the month and I can't wait to see it. I laid out some orange blocks and we discussed making them into snowball blocks.
I went to the post office on the way home. There was nothing there. When I got home, I had some lunch and checked e-mail. I spied my phone sitting on the china cabinet and checked for messages. There was one from my neighbor so I called. But she didn't need a cupcake pan anymore. I watered my plants and checked the house mail. There was nothing, not even junk mail. Then I noticed William had called so I called him back. He told me they had gone to a concert.
I went for a walk around the neighborhood. I checked out the blackberry patch, but it was all dried up. I came home for supper. I threw a can of soup and some chicken in a pan to heat up. I ate it while listening to an interview. I looked at color therapy images on Bing.
I watched an episode of The Good Witch on Netflix. One of the actors was on Dark Matter. Another one was in Once Upon a Time. I watched an episode of Frasier and then looked up the producer to see if she was pregnant in real life when she played a pregnant lady on the show. Nope.
I turned on Wholetones. It might be helping now that I am used to it. I took some evening supplements. I wondered why Chris hadn't called me, so I sent him a message. I typed up my blog post. I thought about either reading or listening to more of the book on CD to help me get sleepy.
* I came across this image and thought it would look nice on a quilt. *

Up, up and away

I woke up with the alarm. At first I stayed in bed, but then I realized it was Sunday, not Monday. I got out of bed and started my morning routine. I checked e-mail and watched an episode of TQS. I swallowed some MCT oil mixture, then got dressed. At the last minute, Jennifer texted me asking for some astaxanthin and offering me a geranium. I found a chewed tomato lying on the sidewalk, with ants. I think a bird did it.
When I got to church, Don L called me over to tell me how much Don C liked and appreciated me. It was nice to hear but I did not know how to respond. I greeted people in the narthex and took my seat. Don C sat beside me. Jennifer spoke to me and then Stacey came over. We talked for longer than I thought we had. But then I found a moment to look at the bulletin before the service began.
The service moved quickly, a little too quickly for me. Especially the last song. I could barely get the words in for the verses. The chorus was ok. After the service, I talked to Paige about going to lunch on Friday. Then Jennifer brought me a small red geranium because she doesn't like red flowers. I pulled out my bottle of astaxanthin and she took out four. I also spoke to Cherry about the speed of the last hymn.
When I left church, I went to Publix. I had my list and extra plastic bags to turn in. There wasn't much on my list, but as I walked around the store, I added things and crossed them off. When I got to the checkout, I realized a can of coconut milk was dented. So I didn't buy it. Then the clerk noticed that the lid was loose on the olives and she sent someone to get another jar. I guess I wasn't very observant.
When I got home, I carried the groceries in. I was so hungry that I ate lunch first. Then I put the food away and washed the cans of soup and coconut milk. I started reading e-mail and listening to a podcast. I noticed that the sun was out and the neighbors were gone. So I out on my bathing suit and went out to lay on a towel. But then the sun went away.
I came in and read again. I heard the rain come down in sheets. Kurt and I texted back and forth. He was at the Wagner reunion. The sun came out again and dried up all the rain. I took my towel out ot the back porch and laid down. But then I could hear the neighbors moving around and knew they had company. That and the angle of the sun was suboptimal. So I came in.
I texted with Kurt some more and sent Stacey a note. We made plans to launch the rocket at 4pm. I made breakfast and ate it. Stacey came over with a 2-liter bottle. I had a selection of PVC quilt frame components. We rigged up something to launch the rocket in the back yard. But we couldn't see it until it fell to the ground. So we went to the front yard. I stomped on the bottle and took a pic as quickly as I could. It went pretty high and landed in the neighbor's yard. I retrieved it. I checked the camera to see if I captured the rocket. Yes! And it was on the way down. We were so excited.
Then I noticed that the geranium was chewed off. It hadn't sat there for even four hours! And the tomato plant next to it was chewed off. I was so mad at the rabbit. I put some garlic cloves in water in the blender. I put the bottle outside to steep. They say rabbits don't like the smell of garlic. I trimmed my hanging petunia and threw the clippings into the street, hoping the rabbit would go after them.
I put some chicken in a can of soup for supper. I looked for orange sheets on Amazon, but they only came in microfiber, not cotton. I checked out color therapy, to see what other color would be good. I cut up a jicama, but it wasn't great. Good enough for me but not to bring to a baby shower. So I blended it up with a probiotic to ferment. I washed dishes while listening to another interview.
Chris skyped me around 8. He did not talk long. Then I watched a movie on Netflix called Cop and a half: New Recruit. Although it was a kid's movie, it was quite good. I enjoyed it. There was no time for Frasier. I took my evening supplements and wrote to my blog. I still had to get ready for bed.
* Can you spot the rocket? *

The Dressmaker

The book on CD did not work as well as I had hoped. First I had to choose between hearing it or having AC. I turned off the AC. But I still couldn't quite make out the words, so I laid on the recliner. That wasn't comfortable, so I laid on the couch. When the narrator started to repeat herself, I ejected the CD and went to bed. However, the computer must have pulled the CD back in because the story started over again. This time I ejected the CD and took it out of the slot. Then I went to bed for good.
I woke up hearing the alarm. I got up to do the usual morning things. But instead of listening to interviews, I put in the next CD of the story. It is about a teenager who learns dressmaking from her mother and seeks her fortune aboard the Titanic, as a maid to a famous designer.
I prepared breakfast at 11. I checked e-mail while listening to the CD. Then I remembered the laundry. I pulled the blue sheets off the bed, and took everything out of the hamper. I also picked up towels and discarded clothing. I washed the clothing first.
I went outside to finish mowing the lawn. It was a nice sunny day and I began to sweat. The yard looked nice when I was finished. So I decided to sunbathe. I put on my suit and laid out on a towel. But as usual, something bit me. I never saw it and it might have been a chigger. From my recent readings, the best thing to do is wipe the bite with alcohol and immediately take a shower. So I did. Then I dressed the bite with lavender oil. And the itching stopped.
The clothing load was finished, so I put in the sheets and towels. I added my mowing clothes to that. I had some lunch. I turned on the CD again and listened to the story as I cut and arranged more batik strips. I texted Stacey to see if she wanted to watch me launch the rocket. She texted back that tomorrow would be better. Well, I wanted to try it out before that. I took the launcher into the back yard and set off the rocket. There was nothing impressive about it. I surmised that I needed a longer launch tube, so I went scrounging around the house to find a longer piece of pvc. Finally I found one. It was part of a quilt frame. But it didn't do any better with the rocket. The air pump must have a leak.
I made a salad for supper, and took the supplements that are supposed to go with it. I watched more videos of people creating amazing art by pouring different colors of paint together. Then I put the CD on again, and folded laundry. I paused it when Chris called me on Skype. He had worked all day and from the sound of it, will be working again tomorrow – after mass. I told him I was down to the third fitted sheet on the bed. There is only one more, which means I only have 6 weeks left before I need to add a fitted sheet. He said Colonel Ouff and Harold and one other guy all told him that if I need anything while Chris is gone, I should call them.
When he hung up, I tried to watch Dark Matter, but Netflix said I had watched all the episodes. So I tried a movie called Singularity. It was pretty lame in every way. I followed it with an episode of Frasier. That was much better. Then I sat down to write to my blog.
* This is what I worked on today. *

Library visit

I used my mp3 headphones to play the audio while I tried to sleep. But I could not find it amongst all the other audios on the player. I remember shutting it off after a while and trying to sleep without it. I woke up once in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, then went back to sleep. I woke up again before the alarm went off. I got up anyway.
I amended my supplement sheet and printed a new copy. I had been negligent recently and missed a bunch of things I usually take. Then I turned my attention to printing out a sheet of 8th inch graph paper. But the lines were in blue and my printer is out of colored ink. So I tried to change the blue to black. I did internet searches on how to do it in Paint. But none of those techniques worked. I could not do it on the desktop or the laptop. So I tried to alter the printer to grayscale. That was problematic as well, and when it did print, it wasn't accurate. I had already tried drawing my own lines, and that didn't work either because the programs didn't have eighth inch grids to follow. I gave up.
I made and ate breakfast. Then I remembered I got a message last night from Myra, so I called and was able to get her. We talked for some time, but the connection was not so good. It started to rain. After the call, I cut more batting into strips in case I want to make a jelly roll rug. The trimmings went into dog beds. I also cut up some old underwear and put that in the dog beds, too. Then I started cutting green batik strips.
I put on an audio and cut several sets of blue strips. Then I took a break and went to the post office. What I found there was just ads so it went into the recycling container there at the facility. On the way home, I stopped at the library on an impulse. I had finished the book I was reading and hoped the library would have the next one in the series. They did not, but were able to order it. I picked out a book from a shelf and a book on CD, since those always seem to put me to sleep.
When I got home, I wanted to go for a walk and I got dressed for one, but could not decide what path to take. The grass seemed dry to the touch so I mowed instead. Well, it wasn't dry underneath and the mower battery wore down before the yard was finished. I plugged it in to recharge.
I went back to listening to interviews. There sure are a lot this week. I made a batch of hummus which turned out pretty good. Then I made a batch of seed crackers. And that turned out well also. I shaved 5 minutes off of the bake time because the organic eggs were a little smaller. I kept listening as I cut up the chicken into small pieces.
Somehow Youtube got me watching dirty pour paint videos. Fascinating designs can come from a strainer! I heated a can of soup and put some of the chicken in. It was quite good and really hit the spot.
I pulled myself away from the never-ending paint videos and watched Dark Matter. I then started an episode of Frasier. Chris called on Skype, having left work at 8. He said he'll be working tomorrow as well because stuff has to be ready for next week. I finished Frasier, and watched more paint videos. I had to pull myself away again to type up my blog. I took a few supplements before getting ready for bed.
* I didn't take any pics today, so here is one of Jody's Christmas tree skirt. *

What to do with dry chicken

I think I slept pretty well last night. I woke to my alarm going off. I started my morning in the usual way. After I turned on the router, I put on a podcast and mended pillows while listening. I took supplements. I wrote on a birthday card and put it in the mail. I deleted e-mail and read some of the shorter ones. I made breakfast at 11. Then I got ready for quilting.
William called just as I was leaving. I talked to him for a few minutes, then had to go. I drove to the Thursday quilting group. I had a good time talking to the ladies as I made orange stack-n-whack blocks. Finally, only Christy was left. I packed up my stuff and put away cords and such. She packed up her stuff and I headed out.
On the way home I stopped at Whole Foods for an organic rotisserie chicken. It smelled so good! I couldn't wait to get home and dig in. But when I did, it was dry. Even the dark meat. But maybe rabbit would be juicier. I say that because when I got home, I noticed all my basil had been chewed off at the ground level, leaving the stems wilting in the sun. I gathered them up and put them in water. I did an internet search on rabbit repellent. Apparently they don't like the smell and taste of garlic.
I listened to a podcast while I ate some other things. After the podcast, I decided to listen to the thing that put me to sleep the other afternoon. I set a timer so I wouldn't sleep too long. Then I laid on the couch and put on headphones. But it didn't work as well this time. I heard the end of the audio. Then I got up and shut off the timer.
I put on another interview and cut strips of batting to usable widths. I got an e-mail from my tapping buddy that she was tired and wanted to skip our session. Although I hadn't fallen asleep, or not for long, I was still lethargic. To get my energy back, I took a walk around the circle. The rain had stopped and did not start again until after I got back.
I felt a little better. I put on another podcast, and had some watermelon. I skyped Chris but he did not answer. My dad called. He was coherent, but not as good at the other night. I went outside to trim some grass by the fence. Then I came in and called Chris again. Still no answer. I watched Dark Matter. I called Chris one more time. This time he answered right away. We chatted for a bit. He suggested I shred the chicken and put it in soup. But he was anxious to get to the job announcements, so I let him go. Then I watched two episodes of Frasier. I dissolved a hydrogen tablet in water and drank it. I hoped I had a balloon somewhere and could try inflating it that way. I took more supplements and brushed my teeth. I wrote my blog post and got ready for bed.
* I didn't take any pics today so here is one of the rockets from Tuesday, parachuting back to Earth. *

Would you eat a goldfish to pay off the mortgage?

I got to bed late last night because I started reading a book and couldn't stop. I laid down in my bedroom and my head was ringing. I thought the living room might be better, but my head rang there too. So I ended up sleeping in the guest room. My head didn't feel any better there, but I was too tired to get up and move.
I woke up before the alarm went off. I started my morning routine, but made the mistake of picking up the book again. Sigh. It made coffee morning run late. I tapped and caught up on the new meditation series that Oprah and Deepak are running. I cleaned the bathroom and kitchen while listening to a podcast. I took a shower and got dressed. Then I went to the Korean clinic.
Dr. Grace was there alone. She wanted me to renew her student loan deferment. It was difficult to access her account because it asked security questions that we didn't pick and there was no answer to – at least not in English. So I called and got someone to reset it. I picked some new questions for her. Someone came in for help and she went off to treat her. Then a couple came in. They were curious about the business and wanted a flyer, but there wasn't one. I explained foot baths and acupuncture treatment and the bio-meridian scan. They said they'd come back tomorrow for a foot bath. They left and Doctor Lee arrived, fresh from the dentist. He wanted me to fill out a form to apply for a booth in the Exchange. I filled it out and wished him luck. It would be a better spot than they have now. Before I left, he gave me onion juice and jujube juice. He told me to take them straight home to my fridge.
I guess I can't follow directions, because I stopped at the post office to pick up the mail; all of which ended up in recycling. When I got home, I put the juice packets in the fridge. I put the trash can back in place and got our mail. There was a package for me containing hydrogen water tablets. I returned William's phone call. I ate some pumpkin seeds and opened the second coconut. It looked old on the outside but was still good on the inside. I drank the water and scraped out the meat. I listened to more podcasts. I found a foot pump for inflating an air mattress and made a rocket launcher out of it. I gently launched the rocket in the living room and a fin fell off, so I hot-glued it back on. It was too wet to go outside.
At 5:30 I got ready to go. I took a paper filled with numbers with me. On the way I practiced in my head how I was going to explain that I had no estimates of budgets for the various ministries. Basically, there just isn't enough data. However, when the meeting started, only Portia had numbers, and her idea was to assign one number to a bundle of 5 ministries. Then we needed more info from Property and Worship before we could meet again. On the way out, Will proposed collecting a special fund to pay down the mortgage faster, in payment increments. There was a suggestion that it might be more interesting if someone would offer to swallow a live goldfish every time we collected enough to make an extra payment. Someone else suggested an ice bucket challenge. I am glad it wasn't me they wanted to dump ice on!
When I got home, I ate some seed crackers. I listened to more of the previous podcast, but paused it around 8 to watch Dark Matter and Frasier. Chris interrupted on Skype and we had a nice chat. He showed me the t-shirt he got from the chapel hike last weekend. I wrote to my blog and listened to Wholetones. I downloaded the audio file that put me to sleep the other day and loaded it to my mps headphones. I took some supplements and got ready for bed.

Global Rocket Launch Day

I woke up early, before 6. The room was hot and the fan was off. I went back to sleep and woke an hour later. I decided I might as well get up. I was doing the usual morning routine when I got a text from my neighbor. She was at the Space and Rocket Center with her husband, waiting for the launch of 5000 bottle rockets. I went to the official Facebook page and watched a live viewing of the event. I sent updates to Kurt in case he had the opportunity to watch. The launch was delayed so I ran the recycling out to the street. When I got back, the countdown had started! 35 seconds later, 5000+ bottle rockets zoomed upward! I ran outside to see if I could see anything from here, but no. I saw clouds, but no smoke.
I got myself ready, read some e-mail, and watched video on making a match rocket. Then I went to quilting, stopping to fill my tank on the way. The order of the day was to show things that could be made as Christmas gifts. I brought a big box of class samples from what I taught in Korea. Some ladies were interested enough to trace a couple things they wanted to make. I took some pics of things others had made. I talked to a few ladies. Then, I packed up my box and went home.
I listened to a podcast while making and eating breakfast. I filled the pill minder with supplements for a week. I tried to sand the nose cone of the rocket now that the nail polish was dry. But it just wasn't hard enough. I hit it with a hairdryer, but that only made it worse. I asked my neighbor to come over and take my picture with the rocket. And she did. I read some more e-mail, but then it was time to go.
When I got to the church, I turned on the computer, entered all the offering info and printed out the reports. I heard people there getting ready for the rocket event, but had not actually seen anyone yet. Elaine showed up a few minutes after I finished. We went into a back SS room and shared our doctor stories. I told her all about the new doctor I had seen and showed her the report he had given me. We cleared each other for allergies. When we were done, she went home and I took the offering to the bank.
When I got home, I drank a lot of water and went out to finish mowing the lawn. I was expecting to sweat a lot but I didn't. Grr. After mowing, I ate the rest of the heart and a can of soup. I changed my clothes. I clipped the fins of the rocket and went back to church, rocket in hand.
It was set up for launching rockets. I went inside and out the back, greeting people as I went. And showing off my rocket. Anyone I thought might be an engineer got asked about center of pressure. But no one could explain how to calculate it.
I registered my rocket at the registration table and was given #7. I went to the table where they were handing out engines. But they said mine was not quite set up for that. I guess I knew that all along. There was a countdown for the first round of rockets. And nothing happened. But after a minute, they tried again and we all took pics. On the second launch, I tried to get pics of the parachutes as they fell, but the sky was getting dark. Some rain fell. I took my rocket to the place where the kids were setting off stomp rockets. I was quite disappointed to find that the launching systems were for rockets of a smaller diameter. I launched mine anyway and the result was very disappointing: 10 feet at best. I launched a second time because the group got credit for every launch. Then I walked around talking to church people, who were standing at tables handing out food and drink. I told Stacey that I was going to build my own launch system and she asked me to invite her over to see it. I saw Jennifer and talked to her husband about his trip to Spain. I also talked to Cathy's boyfriend about tubs of fabric that he wants to donate.
People started packing up early because of the rain. There was extra watermelon left, so I took some home. When I got in, I skyped Chris. He was tired because he woke up at 4. I ate blackberries and poured some blackberry blend into an ice cube tray. I watched Dark Matter, and then Frasier. I typed out my blog post, and downloaded pics from my phone. Then I got ready for bed.
* Not the best background, but it is the best view of the rocket - before I trimmed the fins. *

It's not rocket science

My phone went off at 7:30. I got up soon after. I did the usual morning things. I watched numerous videos of home made rockets and took notes. I listened to a podcast on EMF's. They talked about the fields emitted by dimmer switches. So I went around the house turning off all the ceiling fans. I mended a pillow and a dress. I worked my way through the supplement regimen to breakfast. Then I got dressed.
I put all the orange project pieces in a bag and went quilting. The tables were full when I got there, but while I was talking to Roberta, a few ladies left and I found a space next to Rachel. I showed off the quilt I just finished quilting. Dinah said it was ok for their purposes and took it away for donation. I set up my machine, but spent the rest of the time pinning orange layers together in a stack so I could whack them. Because two of the layers were stretched out, I needed to do extra cutting. Hopefully it will not show in the finished product.
It rained heavily. I stopped about 2:20 and packed up. I took my machine to the car, dodging raindrops. I arrived at my massage on time, but she wasn't quite ready. I raced to the bathroom, then perused the shelves until she called me back. We talked for awhile and then she realized how late it was. She left while I undressed and then came back and rubbed all my tensions away.
Afterward, I got dressed and went to her office to pay her. I did not stay long because she had another client waiting. I drank a can of coconut water and left. Ironically, I went down the street to the Asian market and bought two fresh coconuts. I headed home, but stopped at the post office. The main window was closed, but there was only mail and no packages. When I got home, I checked the home mail. Then I e-mailed the results to Chris.
I took a heart out of the fridge. I cut it up as best I could, into a fry pan. I think I had the wrong kind of knife. I browned the pieces, then added two small squashes, sliced, and three cloves of garlic. I started working on the rocket while it cooked.
I found a glossy brochure in recycling. I decided to use it for the fuselage. Then I hunted for a piece of half inch PVC to wrap it around. I found a set of PVC pieces that make a quilt frame. I wasn't entirely certain of the size, but it was all I had. I wrapped the brochure around and taped it shut. It was a little too snug so I took off the tape and tried again. The fit was better but the tape wasn't as smooth. I called my brother Kurt who had launched a few model rockets in his youth. He told me that the center of pressure had to be behind the center of gravity. I looked up how to calculate the center of pressure and it involved calculus
While I was talking to Kurt, Chris skyped me. When he saw that I was on the phone, he hung up. When I was done talking to Kurt, I skyped Chris back. He was applying for jobs. I shared my day and he shared his. But there was nothing else to say, so he hung up.
I sanded the nose cone some more, trying to reach the perfect parabolic shape. I cut some triangles out of a plastic lid for fins. The plastic was clear so I had to put a sticker on each one so I wouldn't lose them. I hotglued them to the fuselage just eyeballing the placement. I found some green nail polish that I bought in Korean for a craft project. I put a coat on the cork nose cone to smooth it out. But it was definitely going to need several coats.
I watched one episode of Dark Matter and one of Frasier. I added another coat of green gloss to the nose cone. I tried putting in a styrofoam base to dry but the nail polish ate through it and it fell. So I held it in my hand during the Frasier episode.
I got tired of holding it and glued it into the fuselage. I set it aside to dry. Then I typed up my blog post and got ready for bed.

Picking poke

Last night I had to turn Wholetones off because it was interfering with the new thing I was trying, which involves tapping out a rhythm and then slowing it down. But the Wholetones music wasn't slowing down, so I turned it off. However, the tune was stuck in my mind at the original speed and my brain kept returning to it. So I turned Wholetones back on, but at a much-reduced volume.
I woke up before 7. I got up to perform my morning ablutions. After showering, I put on the ceiling fan and the box fan to dry out the bathroom since it smelled musty. Then I took supplements and turned on my laptop.
I put on a dress and discovered it needed mending. So I changed to another. I almost wasn't able to zip it by myself. I put together the dry ingredients of breakfast for later. I gathered plastic bags for recycling, and filled a bottle with water. I went to church.
Don and Tamara were already in the pew and he left me space at the very front. I didn't want the first seat because there is no kneeler there. But it did not seem worth making a scene. The service started with announcements, which took 10 to 15 minutes. The pastor went through the service so quickly that we still got out early. Well, except for having a short meeting to ratify the changes to our constitution.
When I left church, I went to Publix. I went through my list and added a few more things. I paid and the bag person carried my groceries to my car. I went home, and brought in the groceries. I changed my clothes. I finished making breakfast and ate it.
I grabbed a can of coconut water and headed to a massage place. I had been there once before and remembered how to get there. I arrived a little early. The door was locked. I wandered around a little. At 1, I wondered if she was coming. I checked my phone and there was a message from her asking if she had told me that she moved. She spelled out the new address but since it was on the parkway, it could be in many places. I tried to call but there was no answer. She texted me and said she wasn't feeling well. Since she is not my regular person, I decided that I didn't need to pursue this. I wished her luck in her new location and went home.
I looked up her new location. It was in a place I'd never been, not that it matters now. I put away the rest of the groceries. I decided to go for a walk. Along the way I picked some poke leaves. When I got back, I read e-mail. I ate some nuts and took my lunch supplements. I clipped some more poke leaves from plants in my yard. I left the leaves to soak while I listened to an audio on reducing clutter. It must have involved binaural beats or something. Anyway, I fell asleep.
When I woke up, I read a book. I put it down when the main character's husband died of s sudden heart attack. Then I put on an audio. I trimmed any red veins out of the poke leaves. I boiled the leaves in a pot of water while also boiling water in a teapot. I boiled the leaves a second time in the fresh water. Then I stirfried them with eggs. They resembled spinach at that point. I ate it while soaking the leftover salad greens from last week. After eating the poke leaves, I assembled a salad. My recent batch of sprouts was dying. So I pulled out what was good, added that to the salad, and threw out all the unsprouted seeds.
William called while I was making the salad. Just as I was finishing eating the salad, Chris skyped me. We talked for a bit. Then he signed off to apply for more jobs. I mowed half the lawn. I came in because it started raibing.
After some more e-mail, I watched Dark Matter and Frasier. I turned on Wholetones and put on my blueblocking glasses. I cleaned the frying pan. I listened to a few more audios. I typed up my blog and got ready for bed.

Good night

Last night I set my alarm to 8:30 so I could have an extra sleep cycle. Well, I woke around 7. I got up to pee and drink and went back to bed. But no sleep. I went around the house finding towels and discarded clothing to put in the wash. I started with a white load. I took supplements, read e-mail, and eventually made breakfast.
I dressed for ticks and chiggers. I put the Netflix DVD in the mail and checked our box. Then I went to pick berries. There were not many black ones, but still some red ones.
As I neared my house on the way back, I saw my neighbors leaving. They looked like they were going to the beach, but they said they were going to the pool. I went inside and had an idea. Since they were both gone, I could sunbathe in the back yard. But as soon as I got suitably dressed, the sun went behind a cloud. I spread my towel and clipped grass at the edge of the lawn. I was certain the sun would come out again, but then raindrops dashed my hopes. So I went in.
I did a colored load and folded the white load. Beverly called. She and Anita attended a big fabric sale. I did not go because I knew I would buy fabric and have nowhere to put it. Anita was looking for items the ladies might want to make for Christmas and I promised to bring a box.
I listened to a podcast. Then Dad called. He was concerned that his socks were still in the washer and Patrick was not there to run the dryer. On a positive note, he sounded very coherent.
I ate the good parts of two avocados while listening to the next podcast. Chris called me on Skype. We had a nice long chat. He said he'd had a few glasses of some alcoholic fruit drink that Herberth made. After the call, I ate some sauerkraut and pumpkin seeds. I wanted a can of soup, but they all had black pepper in them. I didn't feel like cooking and the rain kept me from picking poke leaves to stir fry.
I was going to put on some music to sew by and Youtube suggested a video on how to trick your brain into falling asleep. I read a lot of the comments, too. I almost went to bed early just to try them out. Instead, I finished the last dog bed which I found on my ironing board. I did not have enough to stuff it with though.
I watched one episode of Dark Matter and two of Frasier. I started the Wholetones device a little early. I swished and posted to my blog. Then I got ready for bed.
* Pat thought this was the funniest thing. *

Last treatment

My phone woke me at 7:30. I wanted to go back to sleep, but there just wasn't time. I washed up and got dressed. I took some supplements and checked e-mail for a short time. Then I put a book in my bag and headed out. When I opened the front door, there was a box from Amazon. I wondered how long it had been there. I shoved it inside and locked the door. Then I got in my car and went to the doctor.
I may have been a few minutes early. But I didn't wait long before Dr. Jarvis came to the waiting room to get me. She took me to the usual room to get an allergy treatment. She asked about my ear and I said it still itched. So she decided to do the flowers-parasites treatment again. She gave me a white mask to wear outside afterward so I would not be exposed to flowers or their pollen. I was supposed to avoid them for the next 25 hours. I paid, but did not make another appointment. I wonder how long it will take before she realizes I am not coming back.
I went home. I checked e-mail again. There was one from Chris reminding me to pay the rent. I wrote a check and put my mask back on, plus a pair of quilting gloves. I drove to the Housing office and handed the check to a woman who was on the phone. I considered driving to the post office, but decided to wait, just in case more mail would come in during the day.
I made and ate breakfast while listening to interviews and podcasts. I turned up the volume and worked at my sewing table: cutting up jeans to make dog beds and using the leftovers to stuff them. I also cut some batting into strips. I also composed and printed the labels that Pat asked for. I sent her an e-mail and she said she'd pick them up next week.
I called Wholetones customer service. I told her my concerns and she insisted that the unit was not voice-activated. She said I just needed to get used to hearing it at night. And no, there was no alternative music selection that had a more consistent volume.
About 3:30 I went to the post office with my mask still on. There was some mail, and a yellow slip. I took it to the counter to exchange it for a package. When I got back, I opened it to find supplements. I also opened the box from this morning. It had a big box of flax seeds and a massage ball. I took the ball out of its packaging and pinioned it between my back and the wall. I was able to find a few sore spots that way, and work them out.
William called. He was in a mood to share. I guess Chris had the same idea because he skyped me. We talked while he made pork and barbecue sauce for a gathering at Herberth's tomorrow. I also got to watch him eat supper. So I ate half a sweet potato and some pumpkin seeds. I asked about his successor and apparently there is a hold up. Chris might not get back before October.
I watched a DVD from Netflix called The Boy Who Could Fly. It was a little cheesy, but clean. Some of the actors looked familiar so I looked them up on the internet. (They are a lot older now). The rain hit hard. I guess I needn't have worried about my plants getting water. I called Dad, but he did not answer.
Then I listened to Wholetones while I typed up my blog post and got ready for bed.

Extra sleep cycle

My phone rang at 7:30 but I was able to go back to sleep and get another sleep cycle in. I got up just before 9. I took supplements and swished. I saw a cockroach lying on its back. I got a flyswatter and smacked it, but the swatter was old and brittle and it broke. I never found the body.
I deleted the first round of e-mail and started checking what was left. I washed up and got dressed. I made and ate breakfast while listening to a podcast. Then I cut another binding strip and folded the quilt into a bag. I also packed some things to work on with Elaine.
I went to quilting, arriving before the rain hit. There weren't as many ladies as I expected and I found a seat right away. I showed the Sew-signment flyer to Pat and announced it to the group. I was told to post it on the group Facebook page. Pat asked me to print some labels for her. I set up my machine and sewed on the binding, both sides, by machine. By then it was raining cats and dogs and everyone but Christy had left. So I packed up and we left at the same time.
The rain slowed down soon after I left. I drove to church to enter the offering on the computer. I worked quickly so I would be finished when Elaine showed up. But then she texted that she wanted to wait until next week. So I took my time printing the reports. Finally I took the deposit to the bank.
When I got home I checked the house mail. Nothing. I ate some seed crackers and nut cheese and took the lunch supplements. I read a bit of e-mail, then made a salad and took the supper supplements. Chris skyped me early to say he had gotten an e-mail from Housing wondering where our payment was. So I have to go there tomorrow with a check.
I cleaned scraps out of my sewing cart. I used scraps from jeans to make another dog bed. I stuffed it with left overs. I also trimmed some batting scraps down to 2.25 inches. I worked until 7.
I made some hot tea and texted my tapping buddy. She called and we tapped and talked for almost 2 hours. We addressed my issues with Chris. Then I watched an episode of Dark Matter and one of Frasier. I moved the air purifier from the bedroom to the hall. I typed up my blog post for the day and took some evening supplements to help me sleep. I started the Wholetones unit. (Although it isn't putting me to sleep yet, I am going to give it the 21 days specified in the instructions.)
And now it is time for bed.
* This is the quilt I finished today. It is all FMQ, but I don't feel any more proficient.*

Heavy Metals

When I woke up, everything was quiet. Wholetones was not playing. I called out “Wholetones?' No answer. “Wholetones, on.” Still no answer. I rolled over to go back to sleep. Presently, I heard a tone, getting louder. Then the music started. It isn't supposed to be voice-activated. Scary.
My phone alerted me at 7:30. I wanted to go back to sleep, but reluctantly got up. I brushed and swished. I took a few supplements before starting coffee morning. I took mimosa pudica every half hour. I did my exercises, including rebounding. I know my chiropractor was against it, but the doctor yesterday (who turned out to be a lymphologist among other things) said it's ok and helpful to bounce very lightly. So I did.
After all the meditating and tapping, I cleaned the kitchen and washed dishes. I took a shower and got dressed when my hair dried. I made more green mix, Then I listened to a podcast on the gut while I made and ate breakfast.
When it was almost 2, I took a container of berries from the fridge and went to the Korean clinic. Dr. Grace was not there. Dr. Lee wanted me to check on his Georgia certification. I gave him the berries, then made a phone call and got an answering machine. I asked for a foot bath, and he complied. During the bath, I got a call back. It seems a document was missing. I made another call and was told it had to be ordered online. So after the foot bath, I took care of it. Dr. Lee gave me packets of onion juice in a box. He had nothing else, so I left.
I went to the post office and finally, there was a package. I also bought some stamps. I drove home. I had a bit of lunch, and changed to a bathing suit. I mowed the back lawn. Then I dressed for berry picking. I walked to the back of the neighborhood. I did not find many berries there. I think someone else had been picking, plus the vines are drying out in the heat. So I came home with just a few berries.
I changed clothes again, because they were sweaty. I watered my plants and checked the mail. No keepers there. Then I went over to Stacey's house and watered her plants. Just as I was winding up the hose, her husband walked up. They were just getting back from vacation! It surprised both of us.
I went home, washed up and changed again. I started making salad for supper. I kept getting texts and having to stop to respond. My massage therapist rescheduled my appointment because her husband was having surgery. Finally I got my salad made. I ate it while listening to an interview.
Then I watched an episode of Dark Matter and two of Frasier. Chris called from Honduras. He was fine, but tired, so we did not talk long. I finished Frasier. I started Wholetones while I typed up my blog post. I took my evening supplements and got ready for bed.
* Dr. Lee said lots of heavy metals came out. I wondered if I should weigh myself before and after to see just how heavy they are? *

A day with doctors

Last night the air in my bedroom was much improved. I put the Wholetones unit in the bathroom, wrapped in the EMF fabric. i reduced the volume and went to bed. I think I fell asleep a little faster than usual.
My alarm woke me at 7:30, but I was able to go back to sleep and finish my dream. I don't remember what it was. Tuesday mornings are rushed anyway, and now I had overslept. I took some of the early supplements. I showered and got dressed. I glanced at e-mail. I printed some papers, including a new supplement check sheet. Then I put a book in my bag and a jar of blackberries, and went to see the chiropractor.
When I got there, I signed in and sat in the waiting room. Presently she took me back to the room where they stretch your spine. She asked if I had any pain or discomfort. I said no. She hooked me up and turned on the stim pads. The phone interrupted her several times. Then I laid there for 12 minutes, getting the decompression treatment. Getting up afterward, I was a little stiff. Then I sat in an exam room and waited. Finally he came in. I gave him the jar of blackberries. We talked about health stuff and the latest articles we'd read. He adjusted my neck and spine. He mentioned that he sells a bromelain supplement. I told him mine had 3000 GDU and he asked me to bring it in next time.
I went to the front desk to pay and she said I still had a credit. I can't figure that out. She gave me an appointment for next month, which I realized on the way home was not a good week for me. I stopped at the post office and found mail, but nothing important and not the package I was expecting.
I made and ate breakfast while watching an episode from the gut summit. I hadn't yet parsed out the lunch and supper supplements because I was waiting for the package. But it didn't come, so I did the best I could with the supplements I had. I also looked for something to clear sensitivities to, but nothing seemed to fit the bill.
I put some papers together showing blood, urine and saliva test results and allergy test results. Then I headed to Ruth's Nutrition to meet Dr. Slack. I got there early, but he was ready so I went right in. I showed him my results. He wanted a list of my symptoms, which I thought I had written down along with a list of my supplements. But the paper just wasn't there. So I listed the ones I could remember, starting with brain fog. He had a machine called Bio-Scan. I held a metal cylinder in one hand and he touched my opposite hand and foot with a probe. This gave him all kinds of information through the computer program. He said I had several miasms, which are ancestral issues. He tested me for remedies for that. Then he went through a lot of other things, looking for whatever my body said it needed to be in perfect balance. Then he went through the list of symptoms, checking for whatever was needed to treat them. The list of remedies was long and would have been expensive, but he put all the energy signatures of them into one bottle of mineral drops, and told me to take them 4 times a day; however many my body said it needed. He showed me his preferred way of muscle testing. He said when testing showed I didn't need it anymore, that I should test for needing to see him again. He also said I should see improvements very quickly.
This office visit took over 4.5 hours. He is very talkative and likes to explain everything. I got a number of texts during that time. I had to cancel with Elaine. There was no time for the farmer's market and it was took late to take the offering to the bank. I just had enough time to go to church for the stewardship meeting.
The head of Stewardship came, and two others. We talked about budgets for the various ministries. He wants each of us to come up with a proposed budget for each ministry for next week. It made no sense to me because we have too many variables. In fact, all we have are variables.
We were dismissed and went home. I checked the home mail and found one piece for our neighbor. I took it over and she came out to talk. We talked for almost an hour. When I got back to my place, I could see that Chris had called me on Skype. So I called him back and ate the rest of the ground beef while talking to him. He was really tired so I hung up. I watched Dark Matter and Frasier. Then I started the Wholetones player while I took the lunch and supper supplements and typed up my blog.

New toys

The alarm rang at 7:30, waking me out of a deep sleep. I stayed in bed a bit, then got up to do the usual. I tried to resume a summit from last night but a new episode had replaced it. I paused it around 9:30 to open the Viome sample kit. I followed the directions and then put the sample into the mailer and sealed it.
I got dressed and went to the dealership to have the oil changed. The man said it was my last free oil change. My 2 year bumper to bumper warranty will expire in a few weeks. I read for 90 minutes, doing my best to ignore the blaring TV. At first there were no other customers, but the room filled by the time the man told me my car was finished. I walked out to the garage and could not find it. But soon someone drove up with it. I got in and drove it through Gate 10 to the post office. I went there expecting a package, but there was no box for me. I mailed my sample.
I went home and made a colostrum mix, followed by breakfast. I listened to a presentation on government ties to Silicon Valley. That was a little scary. There were the usual interviews afterward.
I went for a walk around the neighborhood. On the way back, I watered Stacy's plants. They didn't look too bad. And then I watered my own plants. I read e-mail, and some parasite articles. I checked the house mail and found the package of 4 Stetzer filters. I plugged them into the bedroom outlets, but I could not reach the one behind the bed. Then UPS delivered the air purifier. It was big and awkward, but I managed to set it up in the bedroom. That way it can clear the air before I go to bed and I needn't have it running all night while I am trying to sleep.
I registered my sample with Viome. I spent a lot of time filling out the questionnaires that go with it. I took a break to sit outside to sweat. But I didn't sweat nearly as much as I expected. I came in to finish the questionnaires and check the latest e-mail. I washed and ate some blackberries. I ate some of the ground beef while starting the next episode of Dark Matter. Chris skyped in the middle. We talked for a few minutes and then my dad called my phone. So Chris hung up and I talked to Dad for awhile. I finished the episode and watched two of Frasier.
I drank some cinnamon ginger tea. I got dressed for bed, noting how fresh the air was. I swished and wrote to my blog. Then it was time for bed.

I actually cooked something

Last night I put the Wholetones unit in the bathroom again. I turned the volume down a little. I think when I went to sleep, it did, too. But when I rolled over in the night, it woke up and started playing again. I swore I was going to contact the company about it, but forgot later.
My phone rang at 7:30. I tried to finish my dream. I got up by 8. I started the supplement line-up, but there wasn't time for all the waiting. So I took some things together. I showered and read e-mail until my hair dried. Then I got dressed for church. I put some things in a bag that didn't clash with my dress and headed out.
I got to church a little earlier than I planned. But Ron took up all that extra time by chatting with me. I sat in my pew and wrote my monthly check. Tamara sat with me and showed me her dragonfly tattoo. It was pretty. She said some people took a step back from her when they saw it.
Susan did the announcements, and Gary led the service since Pastor Fieg was out of town. Bob did communion as a retired pastor. After the service, I talked to the organist. I put Jennifer's jar in her office. I put the blue bank bag in the church office.
Then I went to Publix. There wasn't much on my list and I got a few extra things. But when I got home, I thought about coconut flakes and wondered how they missed being on the list. I put the food away.
I made and ate breakfast while reading e-mail. While listening to a podcast, I handsewed a piece of fabric onto the back of the mat so I could hang it on my chair. Although the edges are sharp, somehow it feels good on my back. I listened to an interview with the former head of Microsoft China. He said many jobs will be eliminated due to AI and people should retrain for jobs that are not replaceable like plumbing. Inadvertently, it will widen the divide between the have's and the have not's.
I emptied the teapot and sliced up fresh turmeric and ginger root and garlic for the next pot of tea. I washed dishes and counter tops. I chose some fabric for a binding for the quilt from yesterday. I cut strips and sewed them end to end. Then I pressed the strip in half. I listened to a podcast on the dangers of aluminum, which is steadily increasing in vaccines and is also used in water treatment.
I put on old pantyhose and long pants. I took a walk and picked blackberries in a new place. The berries were not as nice. When I got back, I made up two week's worth of breakfast supplements and submitted an order for more.
For supper, I diced an onion and fried it in a pan with ground beef. Near the end, I threw in mushrooms. I ate some and watched Dark Matter and Frasier. Chris did not call, so I called him, but there was no answer. Getting ready for bed, I flicked a tick off of my tummy. Thank goodness he hadn't bitten me yet. I wrapped him in a bit of toilet paper and lit it on fire at the stove. I took more supplements and wrote up my blog post. I wore my castor oil pack again. And now, to bed.

Skype is a music critic

Last night I shut the Wholetones unit in the bathroom so it wouldn't be too loud. I cued up the sleep app on my phone. Sleep did not come any earleir. In the morning, the sleep app rang a little after 7. I ignored it and it rang again 15 minutes later. I powered down the phone and tried to go back to sleep. I tried laying on the mat again. But no luck. I got up, brushed and swished. I research mimosa pudica side effects. I took parasite supplements, and make more mouthwash. This batch was not as tasty as the last.
Around 10:30, I had breakfast. I folded laundry and put it away. I read through a sheet of test results from the doctor. I researched liver massage.
At noon, I went quilting. I got there just as they were finishing lunch. I set my machine for quilting. With my special gloves, I finished free-motion quilting the remaining rows, and trimmed the edges. I had a good time chatting with the ladies.
On the way home, I stopped at the dollar store and bought a watering can for the back porch. I took some pre-meal supplements and listened to interviews on the various summits. I made salad for supper and cracked open a coconut. I made a mental note to buy more coconuts. I blended up a basket of blackberries and put a capsule of probiotic in it to ferment the slurry.
I texted with Beverly. I watered the plants in back and in front.
I started watching Dark Matter. Chris skyped me. He was a little tipsy he said ( or so I gathered since he said it in Spanish). He said Herberth's aunt told him to sing to his wife, so Chris sang me two songs. Skype was a music critic and muted the volume each time. He asked me to freeze some of the blackberry puree for him.
I finished the episode of Dark Matter, and watched two episodes of Frasier. I sat with my acupuncture mat and wrote to my blog. I spent some time, trying to remember all I did today. I also wore my blue-blocking glasses. The mat was perfect for an itchy back. I read a few more articles online before calling it a night.
* This is a pic taken at the last meeting. *
