One down, two to go

Wednesday

I got up just before 7:30. Chris had liver slow-roasting in the oven. I dressed and went out to start the sprinklers and water the plants. I came in and got ready for Coffee Morning, then went out to move the sprinklers. I could tell that the in-ground sprinklers haven't come on for a few days.

I proceeded with Coffee morning. After meditating and tapping, I cleaned the bathrooms and started on the kitchen. John came over with a key so I could check on the cat. Chris came home at lunch time to have lunch and take the liver out to cool. Then he left to pick up John and Michele and drive to the airport.

After cleaning, I laid out in the sun and read a book. Then I took a shower. I walked to the swap shop to take pics, and to pick up my mail. When I got back, I wore the Kaatsu bands while checking messages and reading e-mail. Anca texted that she was going to be able to open the swap shop this afternoon after all.

Jamie didn't show up, so I figured I had time. I called Isadora about helping me carry two 5-gallon jugs. But just then Jamie texted that she would be here in half an hour. I quickly picked up Isadora and took her to the water machine at the post office. I filled the two jugs and she put them in my car. Then I drove us home and she brought the water bottles inside. I offered her some paints that were donated to me, and took her home. She invited me to the pool later. I also gave her dad a bag of coffee grounds.

Jamie got to my house just before I did. I tried to pay her for previous cleaning, but she wanted me to keep it for making the skirts. I took her inside to my sewing room and she was impressed. I had her try on the skirt and she said it fit, so I sewed off the elastic and closed the band. She loved twirling in it. Then we discussed yard work and cleaning and other stuff. I gave her a bag of coffee grounds.

After she left, I came inside to jot notes and to check if I needed to do anything else. Michelle called and seemed to be in a bitter mood. Isadora texted that she was going to the pool. So Michelle hung up and I put on my suit and headed out.

Isadora was throwing a ball with a mother and daughter in the pool. They let me join in. We had a good time. Then, like 5 or 10 minutes before closing, Saronna came with her kids. Wilhelm joined in with us. I think the lifeguard gave us a few extra minutes. So when he called time, I got right out and dried off. The kids took a lot longer.

I went home to take another shower. I got dressed and read e-mail. Michelle called again, but in a much better mood. Then Chris called from the hotel, so I talked to him and Michele and John. Since they were on EST, I hung up presently.

I cleared some more e-mail, then worked on my blog. Finally I went to bed.

Third party inspection

Tuesday

I got up hearing my alarm at 8. I had used the headphones and think I slept well. It was cloudy and overcast. I got dressed and turned on the sprinklers. I drank hydrogen water and took supplements. I moved the sprinkler heads.

I looked for Happy Birthday in the right key for sax. But to get a reasonable one, I had to change the trombone and piano part to another key. I copied from the screen.

I put on the Kaatsu bands, then washed the greens from Jenni's garden. I peeled and ate two eggs. I cleaned a smaller jar and put the pickled egg juice in it. Then I put as many hardboiled eggs in it as would fit.

I ate fiber gel, then went to the chapel to pick up the extra canvasses. I returned them to ACS, and picked up my two flyers. I stopped at the post office, then went home and made breakfast and ate it. I jotted notes for my blog so I could cross those things off my to-do list,

I delivered a bag of greens to Casey. Isadora helped me place the large leaves on the freeze-dryer trays. Then I went to play with Saronna and Randy. We did the hymns first, then went on to Happy Birthday. Somehow the piano/trombone part was written wrong – not sure how I wrote it in F when the key signature was Efl. Anyway, we made some progress although I had to transpose down a whole tone on each note.

I went home. I read e-mail till a man came for inspection. He was looking for maintenance issues. Chris came home just after he got here and talked to the guy the whole time. I don't think he found any. Chris went back to work. I kept reading. I called Jamie about the fitting and we agreed on tomorrow afternoon.

I put rice and cauliflower and eggs in the toaster oven, then went out to mow the back yard. When I came in, the eggs were still not cooked, so I mowed part of the front lawn, too. Then I came in and ate supper. I listened to a tapping video. Anca messaged me asking me to open the swap shop for her tomorrow. I worked on my blog. Then we watched one episode of Criminal Minds and read the last chapter of the devotional book. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to read a little more online.

Assistant director?

Monday

I got up after hearing my alarm go off. I got ready for the day, then started the sprinklers. I watered the plants. I looked up the meaning of crispy leaves on strawberries (could be anything). Reading Telegram messages sent me down the rabbit hole of cars collecting data on their drivers and sending to the companies who then sell it.

I posted for band practice on the Facebook pages. I picked hymns for Sunday. I wore the Kaatsu bands while hemming the skirt for Jamie. I sent her a message to come for a fitting. I ate fiber gel.

I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. I laid out in the sun for 15 minutes. I went to the library to return some DVD's and pick up two cartons of eggs. I went by and picked up Isadora. I brought her to my house where she sawed down some small trees that are shading my sunning spot.

We went to the chapel to clean up after Paint Night. Some paintings still had wet paint under them so we propped them up on PVC fittings. We peeled up the dried paint that had dripped off the paintings. They had cool swirls. Isadora took some peelings home to decorate her fingernails with. She also took her paintings home.

I took her home, then I went home. I read messages and ate fiber gel. I checked e-mail. I made and ate supper. I mowed the worst of the backyard, then went to band practice. We got set up. Mr. Dent came in as we were playing through our first hymn. He helped us practice the hymns and “I Will Call Upon the Lord” and “Cabaret”. Saronna had to leave, but the rest of us stayed to play through it one more time. Then we chatted for awhile. Kenzie came to pick up her husband. Jenni took her back to pick up her painting, which was awesome! So was Jenni's.

When I got home, I mixed up some plant spray using milk. The milk was bad so I tried to filter out all the lumps. I sprayed the garden. I also hung the sign Michelle made. I picked Jenni's cabbage leaves which she said she didn't want. I also picked some mint. When I got home, I sprayed my outdoor potted plants.

I worked on my blog, made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. We read from the devotional book. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to message Michelle and to post about picking up the dry paintings.

Reber Reunion

Sunday

It was after 8:30 when I got up. I took supplements and got dressed. I went out to turn on the sprinklers and then to water the plants. I turned on my phone. I moved the sprinklers, then whipped up a batch of cheese squares. I used 4 small eggs, bacon and red peppers. I moved the sprinklers again. The cheese squares came out dark. I washed up and dressed for church. I put cheese squares in a small container. I took my trombone and music to the chapel and got them set up. Then I came home and made breakfast.

I used the Zoom link sent by the reunion secretary at 11. A couple other people signed in that way as well. In the chat, she said it would be another 20 minutes. So I had time to eat my breakfast. I could see people at the reunion finishing up their meal.

Then the business meeting started. They started calling out the sons of Jonathan. I wanted to indicate which son we were the descendant of, but I couldn't get the camera to work. Chris came in and helped me. It was the external camera that came on, not the built-in one.

Anyway, the main discussion was over rebuilding the entrance to the Reber cemetery. Quite expensive since we didn't do it years ago. And it has to be moved because the current owner of that land doesn't want it rebuilt where it is. Lots of accidents happen near there because of the sharp turn.

After the meeting, they turned the sound off. Faye came up and waved at me. Kurt never made an appearance. Then the other Zoom people signed out. So I signed off as well. I had a few moments to taste the cheese squares before I headed to church.

When I got to the chapel, I laid the cheese squares in the back and went up front to play my trombone very very softly as a warmup. I chatted with Keli. She said there were girls that go snooping through the kitchen during the service. Then she went up front to get the service started with three praise songs.

I walked out during the third song to check. The three girls were in the fellowship hall messing with the paintings from last night. I yelled at them quietly but intensely and they left quickly. I went back to finish the song. Saronna passed me in the hall and said I had her full support.

Then Popken introduced the supply chaplain for today – from Fort Carson. He got up and spoke about the importance of staying connected to Jesus. He compared disconnection to a smart fridge when the internet goes down.

After his sermon, the band got up and played two hymns. Then I dismissed the congregation. I talked to Saronna and Keli and Jenni. Later I asked the doctor if the base clinic was testing for MTBE or styrene. He said no, only PFAS.

I took the cheese squares and went home. I read messages. I changed into my suit and laid out on the grass. Chris cooked mushrooms in the oven. At 5 the game started. We all signed into Discord.

We finished exploring the giant's castle and we looted what we could carry. Then we locked the doors and set guards so we could sleep through the night. However, Astrid convinced the dragon to be her mount. They flew out to find the giant Queen. Astrid came back to wake Gravewarden to sneek into the camp and slay the queen. Then Astrid and the dragon terrorized the camp so all the guards and ladies maids would run away. She came back and got totally drunk and fell asleep, which is the condition we found her in when we woke up.

After the game, I worked on my blog post. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. He went to bed and I stayed up a little later to read and close some windows before going to bed.

Fluid Paint Pour

Saturday

I didn't fall asleep last night till dawn. Wearing headphones helped, so I should have done it much sooner. The combination of rumination and restless leg didn't help. I brushed my teeth, dressed, and turned on the sprinklers. I drank hydrogen water and took supplements.

I watered the plants, and moved the sprinklers. I put aside a few more things for Paint Night tonight. I texted the lady I was going to clean for. Chris gave me a massage. Then he took his shower and I took mine. He went to a game at the library.

I mended a sheet. I read messages and ate the last egg. I put 7 eggs in the steamer. I ate fiber gel. I laid out in the sun for 15 minutes. I made and ate breakfast. I read more messages.

I got ready for cleaning. I drove out to Lincoln Hwy. Her gate was open, so I just drove in. She had a whole house vacuum so I didn't need to lift mine up all those steps. I spent 2 hours cleaning rugs with cat litter on them and a few spots in the kitchen. And we chatted some. She wants me to come back again.

She paid me and I drove home. I read e-mail. Later I ate fiber gel, read some more and then heated up a steak in the toaster oven with rice and cauliflower. Finally I went to Paint Night.

Janet had agreed to meet me and help me set up. But when I got there, Jenni and another lady were there too. And a good thing that was. Setting up took more time than I thought. I was still mixing paint when the first people arrived.

We had them sit at the 8 places that canvasses were laid out. I gave my opening speech. Several had not watched the posted how-to video. Then they got started pouring paint into their cups and dripping that on the canvas. It was messy so we had wet paper towels on hand. But lots of people either came early to help or stayed late to help. I was never shorthanded. Parents who brought their kids helped.

We had a second seating at 8 and were not quite ready. I had poured extra paint for the first group, but they used most of it so I had to refill some colors. The original bottles were empty so I had to substitute the closest shade from the paints in the back. I mixed them with glue and water to be the right consistency for pouring.

Then as they finished, I realized we were running of out plastic-covered places to put them to dry. So we had to wipe up some of the paint spilled on the class plastic. They was kind of a shame since the puddles were works of art as well.

There was paint left over and I couldn't bear to through it away, so I let Moira and Isadora do another painting. Still paint left, so I did one as well. Then we threw out the cups. I told the ladies to leave everything else to dry and I would come back to pick up stuff later. We shut the door to the fellowship hall and put a chair in front of it to keep people out during the drying process.

I locked up the chapel and came home. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I put my laundry away. We made the bed together. Chris went to bed while I stayed up and worked on my blog. Then I went to bed.

Preparing for Paint Night

Friday

I woke up at 8 hearing my alarm go off. I got dressed and turned on the sprinklers. I drank hydrogen water and took supplements. I moved the sprinklers and watered the potted plants.

At 9 I took the last Chinese tea and went to the chapel for Bible Study. The tea came wrapped like chocolates. I unwrapped one and put it in a tea cup and poured hot water on it. It did not steep quickly, and was still in round form at the end. We read through a chapter of Luke. Then Janet had study questions for us.

Afterward, I started setting up for Paint Night in the fellowship hall. Jenni helped me paint the corners of the canvasses. We also set out the paint colors and the scale and the large sheets of plastic to protect the tables.

When I got home it was time to make and eat fiber gel. I read messages, then made and ate breakfast. I added to the grocery list. When Chris was ready, we went to the commissary for groceries. After unpacking them, we went to Tooele for whatever the commissary didn't have. I also shopped at Melanies.

When we got back to base, I read e-mail and had supper, including a salad. I listened to tapping interviews while piecing puzzles. I figured out when each person should arrive at Paint Night, then messaged each of them. I posted to that effect on the Facebook pages and encouraged anyone else to message me to sign up.

I took pics of cheat notes for Indiana Jones, and worked on my blog. I made tea (with the nugget of tea left from my tea cup in Bible Study) and went to game night at Casey's house. I played Indiana Jones until Michelle called. Casey set up his device so she could see the game screen. She talked me through the end of KQ5. Then we talked for the rest of the evening. I went home at 1130. Chris was still up and we went to bed. But for some reason, I did not sleep.

ACS 60th birthday bash

Thursday

I got up at 7:35. I took supplements, drank hydrogen water, and went out to start the sprinklers. I watered all the potted plants. I moved the sprinklers. I checked messages. I moved the sprinklers again.

I went to the ACS birthday celebration. At Summer's suggestion, I took flyers for my events to put on the FRG table. I talked to people here and there. I picked up a few things from the tables of organizations handing out swag and info. I sat with Jenni in the grass outside. I played in the bouncy house when I found out there was no age limit. I went inside to witness the cake-cutting.

On the way home, I stopped at the post office. I picked up a package and took it home. I ate fiber gel, then worked on a new batch of breakfast mix. Then at noon, the doctor called to go over my bloodwork results. I was surprised because the appointment is scheduled for tomorrow. But he insisted that his staff contacted me to change the appointment for today. So I put down what I was doing and we talked about the results. It was nothing important so I didn't understand why his staff insisted that I talk to the doctor.

I made breakfast and ate it while watching The Highwire. I put on the Kaatsu bands and did two sessions with arms and then with legs. I put on my suit and laid out in the sun for 15 minutes. Then I worked on dividing up payments for cleaning. I made up an envelop for John and one for Jamie.

Steve came over with coffee grounds that he picked up in Tooele. I put them by the iris bed. I went to the library to check out videos to watch. I stayed to talk to Melissa. When I got home, I found a dozen eggs on the front porch.

I read messages, and watched videos posted on Telegram. I ate fiber gel then worked on my blog. I re-posted for Paint Night and Project Night. I made and ate a salad. Then I made tea. We watched two episodes of A Fine Romance. We read a chapter from the devotional book and answered the questions at the end as best we could. He went to bed, but I stayed up to order supplements.

Delivering baby clothes

Wednesday

I got up to take supplements and swish. Kenzie came over with her little boy and infant. She looked at my plants (in pots, the ground, the tower garden and window sill). She gave advice on watering and said she would look up on the extension website.

After she left, I started coffee morning. While reading, it occurred to me that I hadn't watered the plants, only the lawn. So I watered and moved the sprinklers. After tapping and meditation, I started cleaning the house. I found a part of breakfast that I forgot to eat yesterday, so I ate it with the chia water that I also forgot to eat. I took a break to lay out in the sun for 15 minutes, then I took a shower and got dressed.

I wrote Jack's name on a piece of paper and took it to inspection. I put it inside a cupboard. Then I wiped at the floor until the inspectors came. Jack was not with them. I signed the papers. Jamie came over, but they did not ask her to do anything with the yard, so she left.

I went home. I finished cleaning the kitchen and washing the dishes and mopping the floor. I read e-mail and messages. Steve called to tell me that he was resigning next month.

Michelle called to ask me to deliver some tubs of baby clothes to a pregnant lady. The hairdresser had brought them and didn't know where the lady lived. I didn't have room in my car so she called Casey. I met him at the swap shop. We walked next door to the beauty shop and Shelly showed us the stack of three. Casey grabbed one, I grabbed one and a young girl grabbed the last one. We put them in Casey's car.

By then, Michelle had called around and found the lady's house. It turned out to be Michele's next door neighbor. I knocked on the door and talked to the lady while Casey brought in the tubs of clothes. She was happy to get them.

Then Casey called Michelle to tell her it was done. While she was on the phone and we were heading back, we passed Michele walking home from work. She asked if we were on a date. Casey said 'no' but Michelle yelled from the phone 'Yes'! Michele promised not to tell the garrison manager.

Casey dropped me off at my car and went to work. I went to the swap shop to see if Anca or Ria wanted to come to Paint Night. They did and Anca was bringing her daughter. Ok.

I went home. I looked up MBTE and styrene to see where they come from. MBTE is a fuel additive so often comes from leaky underground storage tanks. I listened to some tapping audios. Chris came home from work and then went to Mass, and came home an hour later. I worked on getting the payment from 109 and 648 calculated and divvied up. I texted Jamie for her hours at 147. I also caught up on VMIS hours as I nibbled on dried blueberries.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of A Fine Romance – a British comedy. It wasn't all that funny. Then he read me a chapter from the devotional book. We answered the questions. He went to bed. (He and Michele work out at the gym at 5am). I read some more e-mail. Then I got ready for bed and turned in.

New avenue of cleaning

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30 and went out to sprinkle the lawn and water the plants. While the sprinklers were running, I looked at Pinterest for memes, then moved the sprinklers. I parsed supplements for a week. I called the doctor's office looking for blood test results. They texted it to me, but the doctor wanted me to schedule a call. So I let them schedule one on Friday.

I went to the post office to pick up the mail, then to 147 to clean from 11 to 12. Jamie came by, finished the bathroom, then took all her stuff away. At noon I went home for breakfast. After eating, I laid out in the sun.

I went to Saronna's house to play at 2. We played and talked till 3:30. Then I went back to cleaning for 90 minutes. I finished the house and went to Housing to schedule the inspection for tomorrow.

I went home for 30 minutes, then drove to the chapel to wait for John. He took me to meet an older lady off post who was recovering from a dog attack. She has 6 cats. She needs someone to help clean. She showed us around her house, including her sewing room. I agree to come Saturday afternoon. We stayed talking to her till after 8.

John took me back to my car. I went home. I had a bite to eat as I worked on my blog since it was so late. Then I made tea and we watched the very last episode of Longmire. I didn't think the ending fit the way things had been going up till then – a little forced. It was too late to read from the devotional book, so Chris checked e-mail and went to bed. I did some online reading and hit the hay too.

New band director?

Monday

I got up at 7:30 to turn on the sprinklers and water the plants. I also checked messages. Then I went to 147 to clean for 2 hours. While there, Casey stopped by to give me some papers that Michelle wants me to have.

I went home before noon to made breakfast. I laid out in the sun. Later I went back to 147 to clean for 2.5 hours. Isadora came over to help for roughly an hour. Her dog did not want to stay outside so she called Sophia to come and take Electra for a walk.

I went home around 5. I ate fiber gel and read messages while supper heated in the toaster oven. After eating, I went to the chapel for band. I invited Kenzie's husband to come and share his talents. He went to music school but graduated with a degree in chemistry. But he was able to listen to us and make suggestions as if he'd been doing this for years.

After band practice, I stayed to clean the kitchen with Janet till 8:45. I came home and jotted notes for my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire, and read one chapter of devotional book. Chris went to bed while I worked on my blog.

Tipsy for no reason

Sunday

I got up around 7:30. I went out to start the sprinklers and water the plants. I checked messages online. I asked Chris for a massage. Afterward, I took a shower and then he took one. I made fiber gel and ate half of it. I went out and cut off parts of a tree that is growing in the fenceline and shading out my porch recliner during the time I want to lay out. I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mails.

I got dressed for church. I took the container of cheese squares and headed to the chapel. When I got there, I laid the snack on the back table. I assembled my trombone. The service started with praise songs. Then the visiting chaplain from Carson gave the sermon. The band played two hymns.

After the service, I talked to Saronna, and then John asked me to meet him at 5:30 on Tuesday to go see a lady who needs cleaning and has fabric to give away. Kyle gave me a baked good from his wife.

I took the few remaining cheese squares and went home. I sliced the baked good in half. It was bread wrapped around a savory filling. I ate half and gave half to Chris. I read e-mail. I laid out in the sun for 20 minutes. I read more messages. Then I went to the garden to pour on some fertilizer.

When I got home, family members were signing on for the game. First we chatted, then we got into exploring the giant's cave and defeating the guards. I pieced puzzles as I played.

After the game, we folded laundry and made the bed. I was feeling tipsy, but I hadn't drunk anything except one kombucha. I measured my blood sugar and it was only 131. I worked on my blog. We watched one episode of Longmire. It was late so Chris just went to bed. I took the bedtime supplements and wrote up my blogpost for today and caught up on volunteer hours. That was when I realized that I had skipped posting for last Monday. How did that happen? I tried to recreate it as best I could. Then I went to bed.

Towel Tote

Saturday

I slept in till 8:30. I got up and watered the plants and turned on the sprinklers. I came in. Chris took a shower to get ready for a game at the library at 10. So no massage. I read messages. I used the Kaatsu bands. I peeled all the hardboiled eggs, and ate two. I steamed six more, then put them in an ice bath. I moved the sprinklers to new spots.

I ate fiber gel, then laid outside (the tree was casting some shade). I came in to make and eat breakfast. Then I took a shower. I made a small salad, and ate it. I put sewing class stuff in a bin.

I went to the chapel. I set up two sewing machines. Saronna arrived with three of her kids and all three wanted to make a towel tote. I helped them in more ways than one. Turning the straps inside out took an inordinate amount of time. So I did Wilhelm's for him. Eventually they all finished.

We went home after 4:30. I didn't feel good but was hungry. I took charcoal, edta, and Chelanox. I read messages. I packed some cheese squares and a banana in case my stomach settled down.

I went to the chapel for Project Night. Lots of people came. I talked with MeryAnn. I helped Anca and Michele. I started to feel better. MeryAnn asked for a cheese square. She took a bite and thought it was too spicy. So others wanted one and there went my dinner. But I did eat the banana.

Michele was there with a dress she was working on. John helped me choose spells for the game tomorrow. When Casey asked if I wanted to play Tetris, I checked my watch and saw it was after 9. So we all packed up. They went home but MeryAnn and I ended up chatting in the parking lot for two hours. Till my foot cramped.

We headed home. As I pulled up to the house, Chris was coming out to look for me. So we both parked and went inside. We got ready and went to bed.

New irrigation source

Friday

I got up at 8:30. I got dressed and went out to water the basics quickly. Then I took some supplements, and went to the chapel for Bible Study at 9. Jenni was right behind me. I brought a new tea from China. Three of us tried the Chinese tea using the tea balls that Janet brought. We chatted, then read through Luke chapter 22 and discussed it. We chatted some more. Summer asked me to open the swap shop. So on the way home I stopped and unlocked it. She and the kids walked there and manned it until noon.

I told Jenni that our gardens weren't being watered properly because they were on the same time schedule as one of the other gardens on zone 2, which meant insufficient water pressure. She told me we were going to get a massage today. So there wasn't enough time after Bible Study to go home and eat quickly. She wanted to go remedy the garden irrigation first.

So we went to the garden. We checked the other gardens to see who might be on the inground zone 3. Apparently no one. So we pulled up our line of hoses and attached it to the new hose splitter on zone 3. Then we went to her house. I wiped my legs off with a wet cloth. We got in her car and drove to the spa place past Tooele.

We got there just in the nick of time. The lady brought us citrus water. Then she led us to bathrooms which each had a number of lockers. I opened mine to find a robe and slippers. I changed quickly, then scrubbed my feet as best I could.

When I came out, the masseuse was ready for me. She led me to a darkened room down the hall. She left while I picked out an essential oil and disrobed and got under the sheets on the massage bed. Then she came in and gave me a full-body massage. It was lovely!

After the massage, I came out and went to the same bathroom to put my own clothes on. Jenni came out as well. The clerk had laid out a snack tray for each of us: chocolate, cheese, fruit and a muffin. I had tea and Jenni had wassail. As we ate, another lady came and sat across from us. She had a marked French accent. It turns out she is a massage therapist too, who evidently came for a massage. We talked to her about maybe coming to Dugway.

We talked to her for some time. Then we shopped at Hobby Lobby for needles and such. We also stopped at Harward Farms veggie stand and bought blueberries. Then we talked on the way back to base. I went home.

I put on my suit and read in the sun, such as there was. I had a mixture of supper and breakfast. I read lots of messages online. At 7:30 I realized that my irrigation was due to come on. I went to the garden to observe the new arrangement of irrigation. I turned off the inground line. I made some tweaks and was able to eliminate a hose or two. I came home after 8. I worked on my blog. I posted for Project Night on only one Facebook page. I poured myself a bottle of tea. Then I headed out. I locked the swap shop on my way over.

I went to game night at Casey's house. John didn't show up so I played Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. I got really stuck around 10:30, so I turned on my data and looked up a walkthrough on my phone to see what I was missing. It was after 11 when I shut everything down and went home. Chris was still up. I took supplements and went to bed. I put on my mp3 headphones and fell asleep, but woke up later and could not go back to sleep.

Soil samples

Thursday

I slept really well and got up at 8. I went out to water the plants and get the sprinklers going. I spent 90 minutes finding the right video for paint night and posting the announcement. I went to 147 to clean for 1:20. Then I went home to make breakfast and watch The Highwire.

I paused the show at 1:35 to go lay out in the sun and read. The lawn chair was so hot that I had to put the cushion on. And it got hot. After 15 – 20 mimutes, I came in and wiped the sweat off.

I went to Saronna's house to play. We went through some hymns, then her husband joined us for the Broadway book. When my lip was shot, practice was over.

I went back to 147 and cleaned for 2 hours. Then I went home, surprised to find Chris already there. He was making a ground beef recipe for me. Then he called and ordered a pizza. I ate fiber gel, and then half a cantaloupe. I drank some diluted vinegar. I read e-mail and looked for a good deal on turmeric. Then I had ground beef and rice for supper.

I went to the garden at 7:30 to meet Kenzie to take soil samples. Randy was there, too. We took samples from my garden and from his plot. He hung up the sign Michelle made for me. We talked about soils and plants, and fruit trees, and bees, etc. An hour and a half later, it was getting dark and we all went home.

I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then we read one chapter of the devotional book. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to finish my blog and read a few messages.

Change of Command

Wednesday

I got up at 8. I quickly watered the outdoor plants. Then I pried a gopher skull from the resin mold. It wasn't smooth at the top. I tried to sand it or slice off the ridge. Finally I put it in a small box and wrapped it with white paper and a gold ribbon.

I drove to the parking lot behind Headquarters and walked to Parade Field. There were three canopies set up with chairs for dignitaries and families of the colonels. Bleachers were set up for the general populace. I found Shannon and gave her the gift. I talked to other people. Then Chris and I sat under the canopy to the right for the ceremony.

People were standing at attention showing the colors. The colonels and some other guy walked out to go through the change of command protocol. Afterward, the outgoing colonel spoke, at length. One of the color guard had to be escorted by EMS from the field, but someone else took his place. The colonel said some really nice things, especially about Chris. Then the incoming colonel spoke, but he kept it short.

Afterwards, there was a line of people to say goodbye to the outgoing colonel. Chris and I got in line, but he soon was talking to someone else and not following the line. So I continued on and Jenni joined me. I prayed for the right words to say to the colonel, but none came. So I hugged Shannon, told her I would miss her, shook the colonel's hand and we walked away.

Jenni and I talked to some other people. Then she headed to the reception. I waited for Chris and we walked over to the club. We stood in line to welcome the new colonel and his wife. There was finger food, but I didn't have any. We sat with CJ. She told me she would deliver the eggs I had ordered, later. We talked about fasting.

Chris and I walked back to Headquarters. I walked out to my car and drove home. I put on my bathing suit and laid out to read. After 15-20 minutes, I came in and wiped off and put on short and a t-shirt. I read e-mail. I worked on the sewing project, which is a towel that folds up into a bag with handles.

At 2:48, I went to 648 for inspection. I hid a note for Jack, but he found it pretty quickly. The house easily passed inspection and I signed the paper. Jack and I talked for some time. On the way home, I stopped to pull weeds by the fruit trees and to cut off the suckers. When I got home, I continued to work on the sewing project. I looked at towel videos to get a good idea of how to fold it. I made some decisions.

Chris came home from work. We talked. I went to the library around 6:30 to return my book and get another one (actually two). On the way back, I noticed the base seemed unusually quiet and calm.

When I got home, Chris was gone to Michele's. I checked messages, then finished sewing my project. I took pics inside then decided the light was better outside. Then I posted the pics and class announcement to Facebook. I took a break, then worked on variables involved in the Paint Class.

Chris came home, so I finished my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire and read one chapter of the devotional book. He went to bed, but I stayed up to watch a fluid art video.

What to do when the resin doesn't harden?

Tuesday

I woke up when Chris got up at 4:30. I woke up again when Reveille played. I woke up again when he took his shower and went to work. I got up at 7:30. I got dressed, drank hydrogen water and went outside. I got the sprinklers running and then watered the potted plants by hand. I checked the gopher traps, but none were caught.

I went to 647 for a sign-over. They had cleaned so much that I asked Jack if they could pass inspection without signing to a cleaning team. He checked the place out and said they could. So papers were signed to that effect. I wiped a few things anyway. The occupant paid me $100, saying he appreciates professionalism.

After they left, Jack asked me to clean the tub. So I went up and sprayed ammonia on it, then texted Jamie. I went home to get a dust mop and wet mop. At 648, I swept and mopped the floors upstairs, the steps, and part of the downstairs. I also did the sliding glass doors.

Then I went home for breakfast. I left just after 1 to work on the windowsills at 109. The inspectors came at 1:30. They didn't look at the windowsills. The apartment passed and I signed the papers. I went home to get my trombone and music.

Saronna said they would be an hour late. So I went back to 647 to sweep all of those floors. I went to 648 to finish the floors and sweep the leaves out of the garage. Saronna asked if we should schedule for another day, so I picked Thursday.

I went to 147 to work on the kitchen. Jamie arrived and we chatted. She went to 647 and 648 to clean and weed. I did the windows inside and out. She texted me when she was done. I went to Housing to schedule an inspection for tomorrow afternoon, then went home.

I logged into Zoom for the quilt meeting. When Chris got home, he asked if I wanted to go fill up the water jugs. I didn't want to miss Show-n-tell so he went by himself. The meeting ended before he got back with the water.

We talked a bit, then I went out back to sit in the sun which finally decided to shine. When I came in, there was a message from Casey about going to the pool. I jotted some notes for my blog, then put on my suit.

I drove to the pool. There was a cookout going on at the pavilion. I waved to the new commander's wife. Then I walked into the pool area and joined Casey and Isadora in the pool. We swam and talked. Then the old commander came over and warned us he was going to do a cannonball into the pool, his last chance to do one. Actually he did several, including with his family. Then they left. We continued to swim and talk. Isadora asked the life guard to play some Al Yankovitch songs. That lasted till after the closing time, so we got out, toweled off, and walked to the parking lot.

I went home. I put the resin mold in the oven. I took a shower. I looked up baking resin to see if it would help harden it. Survey said yes, but only for a few minutes. So I turned the oven off. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire and read one chapter of the devotional book. We discussed it a bit. Then I sat to catch up on e-mail.

Lastly, I went to bed.

New spell sheets AND surprise signover

Sunday

I got up at 8, having slept pretty well. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I went out to water the plants and the lawn. I got the sprinklers started. I re-fixed the hose end and eliminated the leak. Janet sent me a list of the praise songs and I listened to them on Youtube.

I read e-mail and caught up on messages. I made up a week's worth of supplements. I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I took half of the cheese squares and my trombone, and went to the chapel.

I laid the snack in the back. I assembled my trombone up front and worked on the slide. Keli came, which was great! Then Bryce and Janet started the service with three praise songs. Bryce gave the sermon. Then the band played two hymns. The service was over. I talked to the band, and to Bryce and others.

Finally I took my cheese squares and headed to the swap shop. I was meeting Angelina there. I let her in so she could look for things to help create an imaginative costume. She got some books and things. Then we locked up and left.

When I got home, I read e-mail. I changed into shorts. I walked down to the swap shop to get out the empty boxes she wanted and left them in the hallway. Then I walked home. I put on my bathing suit and laid out in the lawn and read my book.

When I came back in, it was time for the family game. I logged in on Discord. I messaged John that I needed my spell sheets. So he sent digital copies to Chris to print out. That took a bit of time. Then the game started. I was ok at first, planning to have my character crawl off somewhere to sleep and regain her spells. But the others kept talking her out of it. I kinda tuned out after that and read memes between rolling the dice.

After the game, I worked on my blog. I made tea. I read messages until Chris was ready. Then we watched one episode of Longmire. It was too late to read, so Chris went to bed. I wrapped up a few things and then joined him.

Monday 14th - as recreated

I got up at 7:30 and went out to water grass and potted plants. Then I checked e-mail and went to 147 to clean. I got a call to sign for 648 where a lady was leaving and had only been there for 3 nights. It was a sad situation. She had been told to move to Dugway for a job, then found out we can't hire for that job. I quoted $50 even though I knew it would take longer than two hours. She paid me and I left.

I went home for lunch. Chris was there. I told him what happened and he said that she wasn't to be charged for cleaning. So he took the money and went to catch her. But he just missed her.

I made and ate breakfast and read e-mail. I went to 147 to clean. I worked mostly in the kitchen. There was a lot that wouldn't pass inspection that no mentioned when we signed for it.

At 3, I went to 647 to give a quote. They had cleaned a lot but there was still a lot of stuff to be carried out. We gave them a quote of $250, knowing we could lower it at the signover if it looked clean after everything was out.

I spent an hour and a half cleaning at 648. It wasn't dirty, just dusty with smudges on the back window. But all the window tracks needed scrubbing and the oven hood was greasy from whoever lived there before.

Then I went home for supper. I don't remember what I ate. I pulled the music for the two hymns that Popken requested. I went to the chapel for Band at 6. Everybody came except Jenni. We played through the hymns and other pieces that we are keeping up with for later. Then we played some of the Broadway tunes. Band practice was over then and some people went home. But Keli and I and Saronna and Janet stayed to pray for the lady who had to leave without a job.

When I got home, Chris was finishing supper. I ate a little more, then read e-mail for while. Probably looked at sewing videos for our next project. Then I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire and read a chapter from the devotional book.

Fixing the hose - with a little help

Saturday

I got up at 8, having gotten to bed very late last night. I also had to get up in the middle of the night to take some salt. I went out to water the plants and sprinkle parts of the lawn. It took over an hour. I wrapped some tape around the old sprinkler to hold it together.

I took the cut end of the main hose and put a male end on it. However, I was not strong enough to put the female end on the remaining part of the hose. So I took it and my lawn mower's string attachment and went to Self Help. The man there fixed it up for me. He also showed me how to take the trimmer attachment apart and put new string in it.

When I got home, Chris was busy at the computer. I altered a linen top that I found at the swap shop. I ate fiber gel. I took a shower. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers using thawed eggs since I didn't have any fresh ones. I made and ate breakfast.

I laid outside and read in the sun. I cleaned up my sewing room a little. I could not find something. I made hooks from a roll of wire and hung a thread rack on the door. I used the fixed hose to run the old sprinkler head. It leaked at the mending point so I laid it in the sun to warm up so I could take another whack at it.

I read e-mail and watched some interviews. I ate more fiber gel. I went out to check the hose but it wouldn't slide on any farther. I sorted through the bag of paints and craft stuff that Shannon brought over. There were acrylic paints, water paints, pencils, short markers, glue and packets of little colored dots. I put the acrylic paints and little colored dots in a bag.

I heated up some pork for supper. I also ate one third of a cucumber. I grabbed Jamie's bags of fabric and headed out. I went to the chapel to unlock it for Project Night. The Fellowship hall key was missing so I had to use the front door key for both.

At first I was alone, but then Anca came with her dress, followed by Janet, then Michele and John, and finally Jenni. We all dug in to our projects. I laid out fabric to cut a circle skirt.

While we were working, Ria arrived with her son. She is the wife of the new colonel (yet to take command). She chatted with us while we worked. Janet had to leave early. I showed Anca how to quarter her bodice and skirt and sew them together. And she did. It looked better than I thought it would. Michele and John kept working. Jenni wrapped up her diamond art kit. She identified those packets of dots as diamond art so I gave them to her.

At nine, I started packing up. The others helped, then left. I locked up and went home. Chris was on his computer. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Then I sat down to work on my blog. I went to bed after that.

Working with gopher skulls

Friday

I got up soon after 7. I took supplements and got dressed. I went out to water the plants and get the sprinklers started. I flooded a couple of gopher mounds and pulled up tumbleweed sprouts. I filled a bottle with water and went to Bible Study.

When I arrived at the chapel, Janet was there getting the tea ready. I gave her a can of tea from China. She opened it and we discovered that it was looseleaf. But Sunmer said we could just add it to water. So Janet and I did. Summer's kids and Jenni used bags of tea. Jenni and I promised to bring tea balls next week.

We took turns reading from the Bible, then discussed the chapter. Summer had to go open the swap shop, so Janet said a prayer. Then she packed up her tea things and we headed out.

I went home. I went through e-mail. I called the doctor's office to resolve the issues with getting through the patient portal. I made and ate breakfast while listening to Dr. Ruscio.

I made and ate breakfast. I laid out in the sun and read. We went to the commissary for the usual groceries. Then we went to Tooele. In addition to the usual, we stopped at Cal Ranch to get some hose fixings.

We drove back to base. I read e-mail, then ate supper. Chris left for his game. Show time! I put gopher skulls in three of the spherical molds. I mixed a batch of resin in an old medicine bottle. I poured it, then couldn't find jump rings so I had to use beads. There wasn't enough resin so I mixed another batch. I hope I had the proportions right. I put them in the garage to harden. Jamie came over to get the key to 147.

I made tea and put some gopher bones in a baggie. I went to Michelle's house for Game Night. I gave the baggie to Isadora who was thrilled. We talked. I played KK5, but things didn't go well. So I quit to play Indiana Jones. That didn't go well either. Casey called Michelle, and she talked me through KK5. According to her, we almost finished the game. I quit at 11, but she kept talking. It was after 11:30 when I got home.

Chris was still up. I quickly posted to my blog and we went to bed.

Going-away ceremony

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. I watered the plants with algae fertilizer. I washed gopher skulls and left them to dry.

I cleaned for an hour from 9:10 to 10:15, then went home. I ate fiber gel, waited a bit, then ate some pork. I got dressed up. Chris came and picked me up to go to farewell ceremony.

We went to the club. We sat and talked with the colonel's wife as people got their food and ate it. Then they had a farewell ceremony for the out-going colonel. People gave him stuff and said touching things.

Afterward, we went to the library for the next season of Longmire and eggs, but they didn't have any eggs. Chris dropped me off at home. I made and ate breakfast, then laid out in the sun.

I got dressed for cleaning. I cleaned for 2:15. John came late, and he cleaned for 1.5h. I went home and ate fiber gel. I jotted notes for my blog, and notes for VMIS, and notes for cleaning at 109. I ate some pork and carrots.

I made a gallon of algae fertilizer and went to the garden to fertilize the plants. I could see the sprinkler was not reaching the flowers so I adjusted it. I refilled the gallon container and poured some water on them. Casey arrived to work on his garden so we talked for awhile.

I went home. Chris was lying on the couch. I read some articles. Then I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire and read a chapter of the devotional book. Then he went to bed while I read a few more articles and listened to New World Next Week. Then I went to bed, too.

The baby bird

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30. I prepared for coffee morning. I also turned on the sprinkler on each side of the house. Every 20 to 30 minutes, I went out to move them to the next spot, trying to water the entire lawn. This slowed down the whole coffee morning process. However, substituting the old sprinkler for the newer one helped out.

When it was over, I got a text from Michelle, wanting me to call her. I cleaned the bathrooms and vacuumed. Then I called her while I washed the dishes. I laid out in the sun and then took a shower and got dressed.

Afterwards, I read a few e-mails, then went to the beauty shop. I waited while she finished up with Shannon and EJ. Then she cut my hair and told me that Chris had come in first thing that morning. She also talked about doing cement pours in the middle of the night. Apparently that's her other business.

While sitting in the chair, I got a call from Maintenance wanting to find the circle that fell off the house. I told them I wasn't home, but to go ahead since it was in the back yard. When I got home, it was done.

I read more e-mail. Then I went to 109 to clean for 90 minutes. I worked on the stove and its parts and some cupboards. Jamie called wanting to know what to do with a baby bird that kept getting kicked out of the nest. I told Chris about it and he sent me a number for her to call. At 5 I went home and got an empty dropper bottle. I took it to Jamie's house. I visited with her and her husband. I watched her feed the baby bird some bug soup. Then I went by Self Help to find out the size of the hose. We also talked about trimmers and other things.

Chris was home when I got home. I read more e-mail. Michelle texted me that Casey was going to the pool. It was kinda late so I didn't go. I tried to log into the patient portal, but it didn't recognize me for some reason.

I went out and watered the pots again. I also watered some dry patches of grass. I came in to work on my blog and the inground sprinklers came on. Sigh. I made tea and we watched the season ender of Longmire and read another chapter of the devotional book. Chris went to bed but I stayed up a little longer to read messages.

Town Hall

Tuesday

I got up around 7:30. I got ready for the day. I alternated the sprinklers on each side of the house to water the entire yard over the course of the morning. A man showed up about 10 and turned the in-ground sprinklers on. Sigh.

I went to 109 to clean. I saw Steve in the parking lot and we talked a bit. Jamie showed up to clean as well. I cleaned for 1.5 hours. Jamie went out for a break and I got a call for a signover at 1:30.

I went home to make breakfast, then ate it. I went to the appt at 1:30. I looked around the house and Jamie checked out the yard. Between us it was $300 for inside and out. He paid by Venmo. The inspectors stayed to chat, then left. Jamie and I found an old sprinkler there in the enclosure where the trash cans usually are.

I dropped spell papers off with John (after dodging his sprinkler). I came home and made egg salad. I went to Saronna's house. We played through the hymns and some Broadway tunes. Randy and Sophia joined in.

I went home. I read outside in the sun. I went cleaning for half an hour, then came home and ate supper. Chris came home. I changed my top and we went to Town Hall in the newly renovated ACS room. It was a question and answer format which lasted at least 2 hours. Afterward, I talked to Jenni and lots of others, including the new colonel's wife.

We came home. I worked on my blog. Chris made himself supper. I read for awhile, then made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire, and read one chapter of the devotional book. It was pretty late so we both went to bed.

So nice to have our piano player again

Monday

I got up at 7:30, having had a hard time falling asleep but ok after that. I washed up and got dressed. I took supplements and hydrogen water. I went out to water the lawn. I left the sprinklers running and came inside. I put on a tapping video and made more breakfast mix. I sent Janet a picture of the Chinese teas we bought years ago. I posted for band practice. I turned off the sprinklers and sprayed old perfume on some gopher mounds before I washed the soil down the tunnels.

I flattened over half of the boxes. I made and ate breakfast. Kurt called to tell me in glowing terms what wonderful things he can do with AI at work. I asked if it could write me a flute part to sub for the piccolo. But it didn't.

I talked to him as I drove to the signover at 1. We ended the call and I chatted with the inspection team. The resident arrived and we went in to sign the papers and transfer the cash. The maintenance man thought the stove might need replacing, but I thought it was just greasy. Jamie came over too.

After everyone left, she and I talked. Then I went home. I read some messages and laid out in the sun. I got dressed again and went to the library to return the box of wallet kits. The head librarian and I chatted for awhile. There were no eggs.

Then I went back to the apartment with vinegar, ammonia, soap spray, papertowels and sponges. I sudsed up the tub and shower area. I put vinegar-soaked towels in the toilet. I put the burner bowls in ammonia water. Michelle called to talk. I did some vacuuming and went home.

I ate the rest of the fiber gel. I took the boxes out to the recycling bin. I pulled some music for practice tonight. I took supplements and got out some pork for supper. I also ate a carrot.

I took the music and went to the chapel. Keli pulled up right after I did and I was so glad to see her. She's our piano player and she hasn't been feeling well lately. We all walked into the chapel, along with Saronna and Sophia.

Saronna set up her bass and amp. We played through the hymns and a few other songs. When my lip quit, practice was over. Some of us stayed to chat. Later, I went home and changed my shoes. I went to Jenni's house and we walked around the block, talking.

I went home. I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire. We read a chapter from the devotional book. He went to bed. I stayed up a little later and then turned in as well.

The garlic is gone!

Sunday

I got up at 7:30, not having slept all that well. I washed up and got dressed. I watered the plants inside and out. I watered spots in the lawn by hand and set up the sprinklers. I looked up how to adjust the new one, but there weren't any instructions for it. I whipped up a batch of seed crackers using the taco seasoning from the last batch of cheese squares. I read messages and articles. I ate fiber gel and read outside for a bit. Then I came in. I made and ate breakfast.

I got dressed for church, looking for something blue which fit. I put the seed crackers in a box and we went to the chapel. While I laid down the snack and chatted with Janet, Chris met this week's supply chaplain. Then I went up to meet her.

I assembled my trombone and put the music on the stand. I talked to Saronna as she set up her bass and amp. I did not see Keli. Then I sat with Chris as the service started with three praise songs. I knew one, but the other two were new. Then Popken introduced the new chaplain and she gave her sermon. After the sermon, the band went up to play. We played Battle Hymn of the Republic, and My Country Tis of Thee. Then, by previous request, we played Happy Birthday to Bryce who was turning 9.

After conversing about Dungeons and Dragons, we took the crackers and went home. We changed into regular clothes. I made pickled egg salad. I read e-mail and other messages for awhile. I put on my bathing suit and said outside for a bit. I took the bottles of supplements that needed refilling and checked for replacements in the pantry before I ordered. Every one had a replacement, so I didn't need to order.

I went to the garden with crushed egg shells and a gallon of eggshell fertilizer. I sprinkled the shell fragments and poured the water on the rows. I was going to pick garlic, but the garlic was gone! I was not happy. A man came to work on the plot next to mine. I warned him that things had a way of walking off.

When I got back, someone posted to Facebook that they had free DnD miniatures. I told Chris thinking he would want it. He told me to handle it. So I said I was interested. Then I texted John to see if he wanted to follow up on it. So he tried to join the Facebook group. Then the poster messaged me where to pick it up before 6. So I called John to tell him (since it was on his street) but he didn't answer. Michele said he was taking a bath. So she relayed the message.

We all signed into the game at 5, except John who was going to get the minis. He said there was a carful when he got back. We searched a castle and killed giants for several hours. Becca had to go feed her cat, which reminded me about Michelle's cat. After the game I ran over there to check. It had both food and water. I could not find a litter box.

I came home. I worked on my blog. We watched a section of a marriage video. Then Chris went to bed. I stayed up to delete e-mail, etc.

Sewing class and Project night

Saturday

I got up around 7:30 having slept well through the night. I got dressed and took supplements. I watered the plants inside and outside. I handwatered bare spots in the lawn. I took down some gopher mounds and tried to wash all the dirt back into the hole. Then I stomped around it to flatten the tunnels.

I came in and drank hydrogen water. I replaced the mp3player songs with ones that should be quieter, or at least have less treble in them. I parsed out supplements for the week. Then I asked Chris for a massage. He agreed. Later he took his shower. I ate fiber gel, then put on my bathing suit and sat outside and read.

When I came in, I made and ate breakfast. I took my shower and got dressed. I read some more messages. Then I headed to the chapel.

I set up a sewing machine and cutting station. I cut out the pieces for a hanging toilet paper holder. MeryAnn and Janet came. I finished the sample and helped them cut out the pieces and sew them together. Janet took pics and posted on Facebook.

MeryAnn had brought another project and worked on it as we chatted. And we chatted. Until finally, at 6:15, I said I had to go. So we locked up and went home. I ate the remaining fiber gel. I did something else, then heated up some pork in the toaster oven. Then I ate it and part of a cucumber. I swallowed the chia gel, then grabbed my trombone and headed back to the chapel.

As I was carrying in my trombone and music, John and Michele arrived. They followed me in. Then Anca arrived with a dress that was too big. Janet came with a dress that she wanted to shorten. Then MeryAnn came to finish her bone-shaped pillow project.

I took Janet into the sanctuary for Rhythm Class. She did really well! Afterward, we went back to the fellowship hall. Jenni was there, working on a plastic canvas calendar. I gave sewing advice to Janet and Anca. They worked diligently as we all conversed.

Around 9, we packed up and went home. Chris was gone to a barbecue. He called to see if I wanted to come, but it was too late. I worked on my blog and watched a documentary on end of the world predictions and scenarios.

4th of July pool party

Friday

I got up about 7:30, thinking it was earlier. I took supplements and watered the plants inside and out. Then I started watering the dry spots in the lawn. Chris alerted me that Jenni was on the phone. She wanted to know how to take the screens out of the windows. So I put my Bible in my car and went over. Her husband was trying to clean the outside windows. I showed him how to get the screens off. Then I took Jenni to Bible Study.

When we arrived at the chapel, Janet was setting out tea bags, hot water, and tea cups. While we chatted, Anca arrived and Summer came with her kids. Anca brought coffee cake. Janet had us go around in a circle and read from Luke chapter 20. Then we chatted some more. Everyone finished their tea and cake. Then they left. I helped Janet carry the tea service out to her car. I mentioned that I had tea from China and she said to bring it next week.

I went home to finish watering my lawn. I ate fiber gel. I laid outside in the grass and read. I checked e-mail. Then Chris and I packed up our food (a pot of pork and a jar of pickled eggs). We headed to the pavilion at the pool.

As people arrived, they set out food on the two front tables. I chatted with people. I got to talk to Jack. Then I got in line with a plate. There were a few things I could eat. I ate with Michele. The new colonel-to-be came by with his family. I introduced myself. Then Chris and the current colonel took them off to meet others. I kept hoping John would come. But he didn't. Finally around 2, Michele fixed him a plate. She drove me home with my leftover eggs. Had I left them, they would have been all eaten.

I read e-mail and considered making a class sample for tomorrow, but it never happened. I spent time going through all the sales e-mails. Then Jenni called, saying she was going to the pool. I called Michele to invite her, but she wasn't up for it.

I went to the gym/pool. Jenni wasn't there so I talked to Steve and Summer at the desk. Then I went to the pool and Jenni was sitting on the side. So we did some water aerobics. A dad inflated what looked like a double bed. Once in the pool, the kids played on it. Jenni and I tried it out. Cool. But the water was warmer so we got off and swam some more. Then I got out, showered and dried off and went home.

I ate fiber gel, and some supper. I invited John to my game night. I posted to Facebook for Project Night and Rhythm Class. Someone texted me about going to the swap shop. So I stopped on the way over and propped the door open. I let her know that it needed to be closed before the police came by.

I went to Michelle's house. I turned everything on and called up Tetris. It did not go well as I tried to figure out which key rotated the pieces. Note to self: do NOT touch the space bar. Then John showed up. He did really well at Tetris, even when the cat interrupted his play wanting attention.

Then we looked through the list of games. We tried several Mario games. John is pretty good. I didn't get far because I didn't know which keys to use. Then we tried Monkey Island. John is really good at it and I tried to remember the steps. We quit when we heard fireworks. John left to get Michele. I decided to skip the homebought fireworks and I called up KingsQuest V. I worked on it a little, and remembered that I had to do it all over again. So I started from the beginning, having a plan in mind. By 11 I had retraced all my steps AND saved the mouse.

I shut everything down. I went home. Chris was still up, but he soon went to bed while I stayed up to blog.

Blooddraw - the good and the bad

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. Knowing the electricity was going off at 8, I vacuumed the livingroom floor. Then I made fiber gel. I drank hydrogen water. I read e-mail until the power went off.

I went out to water the plants and patches of grass. Michele showed up having walked over on foot because her garage door depends on electricity. Chris went to work (headquarters has generators). She followed me around as I watered. Then we sat at the diningroom table and talked while she handsewed a leather strip to the bottom of a bodice.

It was 10am. She mentioned that she was curious what she might find at the antique stores in Tooele. I told her I wanted to go in town for a blood draw anyway. So we decided to go and get back by 2. I made sure a copy of the lab test order was on my phone and I had a copy of my insurance card (just a piece of paper).

She drove us in my car. We decided to do the blood draw first. We went to where I thought it was, and they said we had to go to the emergency room of the hospital. So we drove over there. We went inside to the desk. I showed the pic on my phone and she said she needed a paper copy. So Michele used my phone to forward the doctors e-mail to the receptionist. But then the clerk said it didn't have a doctors signature. So I called the office to ask for a fax. They sent it but it took so long to arrive that I called back and they sent another one. Michele worked on her handsewing.

When the fax came in, I went through the sign-up process. I told the lady I would rather pay upfront, before it got submitted to insurance. Her computer estimated the price at around $500. Then she said that paying upfront would qualify for a 50% discount. OMW! So I only paid $250.

Later I got called back to the lab. The lady told me she would need 17 tubes of blood. Yikes! But when she said they were 8ml tubes, I did the math and came up with half a cup. She disappeared for a long time, supposedly looking for which color of vials to use. When she came back, she filled a glove with hot water and put it on the crook of my arm to expand the vein. She disappeared again. Later she came back and took the vials of blood. Then I was free to go.

So Michele and I returned to the car. It was already 1pm so we headed back to base without shopping. She stopped at the commissary to pick up cat food, then went to her house. I drove my car home.

I took my trombone to Saronna's house. We chatted. We played through Happy Birthday and the hymns and some other tunes. Then we called it a day and I went home. I drank fiber gel. I laid out in the sun. I made and ate breakfast while looking at e-mail. I looked at sewing projects, searching for one that kids wouldn't mind missing. I saw one for a toilet paper holder for extra rolls of toilet paper. I had a devil of a time finding the instructions. I looked at several videos and took notes. I copied a pic and posted the class on Facebook.

I worked on my blog. I added to my VMIS hours. I made tea and we watched one episode of Longmire. Chris wasn't in the mood for the devotional book, so we watched about half an hour of the BSRT presentation. Then we both went to bed.

Helping at the swap shop

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30, disappointed at not having slept well. I got up and dressed. I went outside to water all the plants. I came in and got ready for coffee morning. All the usual exercises, coffee, meditation, supplements, etc. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. There appeared blue streaks from cutting up the methylene blue. Thankfully Comet got them out. Anca texted me saying she couldn't open the swap shop this afternoon so could I do it? I said yes.

I got a call from the occupant in 109 saying he could not make the signover and asking if I could reschedule. I said yes. I went to Housing to reschedule for Monday and to turn in the key from the house yesterday.

When I got home, Michele texted, asking what I was doing. I called Jamie to tell her the signover was rescheduled. While we were talking, I put on my bathing suit and laid out in the sun. We talked a little longer. Then I responded to Michele. She said she needed a ride home from the pool. So I jumped in the car just as I was, and went to the pool to pick her up. I drove her home, then went home.

The sun had gone behind a cloud so I did some vacuuming then went out to sunbathe a little more. I took a shower and put on clean clothes. I read some e-mail and messages. I called Jenni to join me at the swap shop. Then Anka texted to say she could do it after all.

I worked on a different set of mp3 headphones. I had to look up those instructions, too. I thought I turned them off as I went to the swap shop. Anca was already there. I pitched in to help hang donated clothing. People came and dropped off more stuff. Jenni arrived to help as well. Kyle showed up around 5:30. I asked him about the Village Voice and he said he would send me a copy.

I also went next door to the beauty shop and set up an appointment for next Wednesday. Then I went back to the swap shop and found a dress I thought I could make into a nightgown. I left as Anca was locking up, and went home.

I laid down because I was feeling lightheaded. Then it occurred to me that my blood sugar might be low due to fasting. So I checked and it was 92. So no. I sat at my laptop and finished watching an interview while eating cashews. I watched a video on building things with cardboard.

I worked on my blog. We watched one episode of Longmire. Then we read a chapter of the devotional book. I wrote out Happy Birthday on staff paper, both a treble and a bass clef line. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to get the mp3 headphones ready. I took them to bed. I think I fell asleep pretty quickly, but woke up when the music changed. I turned them off and went back to sleep.

Passed inspection

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30. I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I took supplements and drank hydrogen water. Then I went outside to water plants and grass and gopher holes and gopher mounds.

At 9, I came in to listen to Day 2 of a tapping challenge. Then I read messages and planted some sprouts. I added a can of beets and juice to the pickled eggs. At 11 I tuned into a tapping Zoom call. Casey called to ask me to take care of the cat. I rolled a jar over the egg shell pieces to crush them.

I ate fiber gel, then made and ate breakfast. I went to the inspection at 1:30. When I opened the garage, it had cleaning stuff in one corner. I called Jamie to come get her stuff. She came over as I followed the inspector around the house. Later I signed the papers. Jamie and I talked about division of payment. I gave Bobbie some spray to clean tub walls.

When I got home, I cut up methylene blue blocks. I took one, read messages for half an hour, then laid outside in my bathing suit and read a book.

I read messages for a bit. I called Jenni about going walking. I went to the post office for the mail, then drove to the gym. I joined her in the lobby, talking to Tom. We walked the track for awhile. Then she drove me to my car in front of the chapel.

I drove home. I ate some fruit. I separated some sweet potato sprouts, put them in a ziplock bag, and drove them over to Jenni's house. She said she would plant them in the back yard. I went home. I ate fiber gel. I read e-mail and listened to an interview. I ate leftovers for supper. Chris made quinoa and I had some of that. I finished the interview.

I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Longmire. I went to my laptop and then Chris reminded me of the devotional book. So we went through another chapter of that. Later Chris went to bed. I stayed up looking for instructions on how to use my old mp3 headphones. I forgot that the right ear doesn't work anymore. I finally figured out how to get the song I wanted and went to bed. But after what seemed like hours of the same sleep music over and over, I shut it off. I was being bothered by shooting pains in my legs. Taking salt seemed to help for a little bit. Then after I fell asleep, Chris' alarm went off and I was awake again and the pains were back.
