Wednesday
I got up at 7:30. I got a slow start to the morning and I don't remember why. Part of it was watching a video Faye sent and responding to it, then looking up a segment of a show that dealt with the same topic so I could send her the link I promised.
Then I exercised, drybrushed, meditated and tapped. Later I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms. I washed dishes, vacuumed and mopped. I read outside for awhile. I cut up bacon and made cheese squares. I checked e-mail. I finalized an AllStar order and worked on the Swanson one.
I realized it was late, so I jumped in the shower, then put on a black dress and shoes. I bundled up the cheese squares and a water bottle. I went to the chapel 'cause we were told to be there at 5.
Only a few people were there, not enough to start practice. However, as I talked to who was there and got my instrument assembled, others began to arrive. But it was 45 minutes later till we started going through the routine of the evening. We discovered that my copy of Amazing Grace was in the wrong key. So we had to make a copy from the hymnal, which was spread over two pages. Rick went home and did it, then brought me the copy. However, it wasn't any larger than in the hymn book.
Chris arrived around 6, but it didn't start till 6:30. We talked to people. Chris introduced Michele and John to John and his wife. I drank from my water bottle. The chapel filled up with people.
Then the service started. It was fairly simple, but with lots of us going up to play and coming back to sit in the front row. Readings and songs. Then people were invited to say what they were thankful for. Then the last song and we were done.
Well, except for the fellowship hall and the food. People lined up to eat. I wandered here and there, talking, or wondering what to do next. I found the easels in the sewing room. I closed the door so the sewing stuff would be undisturbed. But the door locked. I asked around and only Bryce could find the key. He opened it for me.
There was more talking and waiting around. I got really tired, but wasn't leaving until I could rescue my cheese squares. Finally Bryce came out and handed them to me. So then I put my Sunday music on the stand, and took the rest home, leaving my trombone there.
When I got home, I put the remaining cheese squares in the fridge. I fed the starter. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Chris went to bed but I looked at Christmas carols in one octave for handbells.
