Three sewing projects on Project Night

 

Saturday

I got up after 8, feeling like I had been awake for a long time. I took supplements. I rinsed the sprouts really well. Half of the seeds aren't sprouting. I made breakfast mix. I posted to my blog for Thursday. I replaced a box of supplements that got wet. I worked on my blog, hoping Chris would get up so I could practice.

When he got up, I did practice.  I guess I cleared more e-mail.  Before noon, I made and ate breakfast. Then we went to the commissary for the usual groceries. We also put air in my tire.

Not long after we got back, I put a bucket of cleaners in my car along with a stick vacuum. I went to Tina's house. She gave me a short duster and a long telescoping duster. I went around wiping up webs and other things. I also dusted books. We chatted about this and that. Then she paid me and I went home.

I ate fiber gel, then stopped by 650 to spray the tubs and scrub burner bowls and turn on the self-clean cycle. I went home for supper. I looked for my pants pattern, but only found the yoga pattern. I took it to Project Night along with the fabric.

Michelle's family came and Sophia. She and Isadora were doing sewing projects. I finished cutting out the pants, but the thread I tried to use got tangled in the bobbin. Then I remembered that it probably wasn't 100% cotton thread anyway. They helped me pack up.

I went home and made tea. We watched TV. I used the steam sauna, then dried it out and got ready for bed.

Friday

I got up at 8. Chris stayed in bed sick. I got ready for the day. He came out to participate in a group call. I ran off to the chapel for Math Morning. Saronna brought her kids. They each had some math assignments to work on. She took the youngest into the sanctuary to count chairs. She said he made it to 37 without help. I worked with the other two. At 10, the kids left and we talked for awhile.

Isadora texted me about cleaning, so I went to pick her up. We went to 627 and worked on floors and bathrooms. Then I took her home. I went home for breakfast. Chris was back in bed asleep. I ate fiber gel and read outside. I put burner bowls in ammonia to soak.

I made and ate breakfast. I checked e-mail. I walked to the post office for mail, and stopped to talk to the hairdresser. I walked home.

Finally I woke Chris and asked if we were going to the commissary. He said he couldn't, so instead I went back to 627 to finish the floors and and spots in the bathrooms. Actually, I saw yellowing in the tubs but could not get it off with anything.

It was almost 6 when I came home. Chris was sitting at his computer. I was so tired that I went to bed. But sleep would not come.

I got up and had fiber gel. I heated the last bowl of soup. I read e-mail and Facebook messages. I got ready for Game Night. Michelle had said that Casey was going to load Monkey Island so I called John to come over and help.

I got there after 8:30. I gave them a small jar of whey. John arrived, on foot. I gave him some lidocaine packs and some Curamin for Michele. Casey put up Monkey Island. John loaded the game we started months ago. Then, basically, I watched him play. He seemed to know the game pretty well, though not quite as well as Michelle knows Kings Quest V.

At 11, we saved the game and shut it down. John walked home (even though I offered him a ride). I thanked Casey and went home. Chris was in bed, so I quietly got ready and climbed in beside him.

Thursday

I got up at quarter to 8. I got ready for the day. I took my Bible bag and went to the chapel for Bible study. We read chapters 3 and 4 of Genesis and discussed it. After a closing prayer, I headed out, only to run into Rod. He wanted to know where the computer room was. I had no idea, but walked him through the offices and then into the storage room off the 'stage'. There, he found the large black box he was looking for, but he had to get a ladder to reach it. He told me how busy he was and that he was going to have surgery next week. So I didn't bug him about coming to band.

I went to 650 and met the inspectors. Jayna wasn't there yet, so we chatted a bit. When she showed up, we went inside and signed the papers. But she didn't have cash. So they sent her off to get it so they could witness the transaction. It took a while for some reason. Then she came back, paid me and we concluded the transaction.

I went home to eat fiber gel. Chris came home to make lunch. I stopped to get the mail. I ran back to 650 with ammonia. I put the burner bowls in to soak. I soaked some paper towels and plastered them to the inside of the range hood to soak.

I went home for breakfast and to watch The Highwire. Afterward, I read some e-mail, then went to Housing to schedule inspection. Then to Jamie's house to clean baseboards. I sent John a message and he came over to do his part. I cleaned the front door and all the screen door panels. He left and I finished up.

I went home to eat the rest of the fiber gel and to change clothes for Town Hall. I arrived there about 10 minutes early. I sat in front and eventually Michelle joined me. Chris, the Colonel and the CSM sat up front and talked about Dugway's new and varied ways to communicate. After the town hall, we milled around the talked. Then I followed Michelle out to her car. She had picked up some burner bowls and a squeegee for me. Then we went our separate ways.

I went home to heat and eat supper. Chris came home with a pizza from the Community Club. I read e-mail and watched some news podcasts. Then I worked on my blog. Afterward, I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds.  Then I turned on the steam machine and put a water bottle and pile of small towels inside.  I also put a CD player nearby.  

When the steam started, I crawled in and zipped it up.  I put one towel across the opened for the neck.  I sat and wiped sweat for 15 or 2 minutes.  Then I got out and turned it off.  Chris was already in bed.  I got ready for bed and turned off any lights left on.

Wednesday

I got up at 7:30. I turned on my phone for awhile in case Summer didn't pass his inspection. But the phone never rang so all was well. I prepared for coffee morning with exercises and red light and supplements. I meditated and tapped and prayed. Then I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed the dishes. Chris came home from work as I started vacuuming and mopping. He had lunch and went back to work.

I cleaned up some clutter. Then I took a shower and made egg salad. I talked to Jamie. I checked e-mail, then went to 627 to clean. I hoped Isadora and John would come, but neither did. I called Michelle and asked her to get me some burner bowls next time she is in town.

After 2 hours, I came home. I was rinsing sprouts when Chris came home from work. We chatted. I checked e-mail while listening to a podcast. Chris made and ate supper. My podcast went long. I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds.

Afterward, I went in the back to start the steam sauna.  I set up a pile of wash cloths and hand towels near enough to reach.  I went in with a water bottle and sat on a towel on a small seat.  When the steam started, I used a wash cloth to wipe off the sweat.  When it was wet, I dropped it and grabbed another one.  I estimate about 15 to 20 minutes of that.  Then I got out and shut it off.  I wiped off once more, then dried out the sauna.  I got dressed for bed and laid out the washcloths to dry.  Then I did my stretches and laid in bed.  But the sweating continued for awhile.

Tuesday

I got up at 7:30, hearing Chris take his shower. Not sure if I slept better after the sauna. I got ready for the day. I brought in the gallon of milk and it was slushy from the cold. I poured half in a pot and heated it to 100, then added a yogurt probiotic. I put it in the dehydrator to cure.

I practiced my trombone and did squats. Then I went to check on 215 to see if it was ready for inspection. It was not. I spent the next three hours scrubbing everything. I texted Tarah about it.

I went home for a late breakfast. She called and we talked about it. Then I went back to 215 for inspection. The inspectors hardly looked at it and we signed the papers. Then I found Tarah and gave her her portion of the money.

I went to Saronna's house to practice. We talked and played through the hymns. We decided that Lord of the Dance would work for Easter. Michelle dropped by to tell us she is now off probation. She was very happy. After she left, we practiced When the Saints Go Marching In. Then her husband called, so I packed up.

I went to Jamie's house to clean. At 3:45 Isadora showed up. We talked about the bathrooms. I went back to cleaning the window downstairs. She invited me up to check the bathroom. I pointed out some more things and went down again. At 4:45, John texted asking if I was working there. I said yes, but then Isadora finished upstairs and wanted a ride home. Since I had a quilt guild meeting at 5, I took her home and I went home.

I signed into the Zoom call. While it played, I mixed up rennet for the milk. I also made supper. I wondered why Chris didn't come home. It was after the meeting that he arrived. He said he just had extra stuff to do. I went back to listening to a podcast.

Then the dehydrator beeped. I pulled the cheese out and sliced the curds. I worked on my blog. I separated the curds from the whey. I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds.

I set up the steam sauna and gathered a towel and water bottle and plastic card. I sat in for some time before I got suspicious. As it turns out, the timer works on winding, but the unit was not on because the power strip was off. I turned it on, did a few errands, then sat inside. The steam came on and I sweated like crazy. When I got out, Chris was in bed. I got ready for bed and joined him. However, sleep was a long time coming.

Monday

I got up at 7:30, hearing my alarm go off. I got ready for the day. Chris got up and made coffee. I parsed supplements for the next week, then went off to 627 to clean.

I finished cleaning the fridge and oven and started on the cabinets. Then I went home for fiber gel. Afterward, I sat in the sun and read a book. When I came back in, I made and ate breakfast.

Before 2, I went back to 627 to clean the rest of the cabinets and I started on the vertical blinds. Saronna and Randy came by to get the large trash can in the laundry room. Not long after they left, I had to leave, too. I used the stepstool as my 'bookmark' between the vertical blinds I had cleaned, and those still dirty.

I went to the swap shop to meet Jordan. But Jenni already had it open and was sorting clothes. So Jordan and I sorted clothes, too. Why do people donate clothes that are covered in pet hair? I didn't feel like taking them all home to wash, so we put them in bags to be donated.

After 5, I went home to make supper. John and Michele and Chris were watching some K-pop demon hunter movie. I watched a little of it, but was not interested. I ate a bowl of soup and some rice and mushrooms.

Then I went to the chapel for band. The first person to arrive was the doctor with his guitar. When it seemed no one else was coming, we played through the two hymns. Then Jenni showed up and got out her tambourine. We played the last hymn again, then went on to When the Saints Go Marching In. He played chords on his guitar while I tried the ornamented version that Saronna and I have been practicing. It didn't work so well, so he reverted to the box drum and a metronome. We worked up from 60 bpm to 90 bpm. Then I asked him to go back to guitar. It seemed to work. But then my lip was shot so we all packed up and went home.

When I walked in, the three of them were discussing the current administration and ICE. It was a heated discussion. After they left, I worked on my blogs (turns out I missed yesterday). I made tea and we watched TV.

Then I turned on the steam sauna and put an overturned wastebasket in to sit on. I also got a towel and bottle of water. I sat inside and put the towel over the opening behind me. I drank water as needed. When the timer rang, the steam turned off. I wiped off and dried out the sauna. I put on a nightgown and got ready for bed.

Sunday

I got up at 8, thinking I had fallen asleep relatively quickly, but then awakened and not been able to go back to sleep. I took supplements and drank the water I put out last night. I checked my phone and messages online. I made cheese squares and practiced while they were baking.

I went back to my laptop. Chris started ham soup. Later I made breakfast and got dressed for church. I put half the cheese squares in a container and took them to the chapel.

I laid the container on the back table. I went up front to assemble my trombone and put the music on the stand. Keli and Bryce led the three praise songs. Then we had the passing of the peace, a few words about the offering, and the sermon. Afterward, we musicians played two hymns. Then we all prayed for Summer who is moving to California.

As I put my trombone away, Summer asked me about cleaning inspections. I offered to inspect his place. So we both went over. He told me what he had cleaned and what was left. We discussed the stove, and vents. I told him it was pretty good. I gave him a metal scrubbie and a piece of Magic eraser.

I went home and got changed into my bathing suit. I filled two water bottles and went to the gym to meet Michelle at the sauna. I got ready and went inside with a towel and both water bottles. We talked for an hour, then got out and talked some more. We left the gym and talked outside. Finally I went home.

Chris had made soup and mushrooms. I had a bowl of it and some rice. We signed into the game. We took over a city by talking them into letting us have it. Then there was a lot of talk about the child of light and child of dark. Finally we decided to decide later what to do next. I was confused.

After the game, I made tea. Chris and I watched two episodes of Criminal Minds. I wrote to my blog (and forgot to post it). Chris went to bed, and I came a while later.

Last minute sewing project

 

Saturday

I got up after 8:30, wondering why I didn't hear the alarm. I took supplements and drank water. I looked up pics of my intended project and posted to Facebook for Sewing Class and Project Night and Rhythm Class.

Chris came home from Mass. I practiced. Then he gave me a massage. After my shower, I made and ate breakfast. I quickly made up a sample sewing project. It was so quick that it took longer to choose fabric than to make it.

I read e-mail for a bit, then went to the chapel for sewing class. Keli was just finishing up piano lessons. Karen came with all of Saronna's kids. I let them pick their fabrics, then I cut what they needed. Karen helped Jedediah sew his. I helped the others when they needed it. I took a pic of each one with their finished project. They were done and gone by 3:15. I cleaned up and folded fabric, which took a while. Then I locked the doors and went out without my keys. I called Jenni and Janet, but didn't reach either one. Then I went back and tried the door - which hadn't locked for some reason. I got my keys and went home.

I read e-mail. I washed all the new cotton stuff that came in the mail this week. I caught up some videos, then ate supper. We folded the laundry. I heated up the glue gun, and glued parts of my trombone case back together.

I took the trombone and the cotton sheet to the chapel for Project Night. No one was there. I laid on a couch in the back until I heard a car drive up. I went to get the rhythm class handouts. But it was John and Michele. They set up at tables in the fellowship hall. She cut out pattern pieces. Casey and Cedric came to work on models. I worked on altering or making cotton clothing. We all chatted.

After John and Michele left, I started packing up. Casey and Cedric packed up and left. When I finished, I turned out the lights and locked the doors and went home. I made tea. Chris and I watched TV, then made the bed with clean sheets. I worked on my blog.

Friday

I got up at 8:30. I got ready for the day and took supplements. I went to the chapel for Math Morning. Saronna arrived just after I did. She had math for all of her kids. But the only time they could concentrate was when she took the youngest into the sanctuary to count the chairs. When not helping a student, I created a magnetic sign that said Open House.

After Math Morning, I went to 627 and put the sign on the garage door. I went inside and started cleaning, expecting to see people arrive at any moment. I had advertised it on the community Facebook pages for 10:15am. But no one came. Then, about 10:45, Eryne stopped by and picked up a few things. Later Tarah came with a key. She might have taken something.

Then Saronna and her husband came to pack it all up and take it to the swap shop for me. Their first trip was to take home what they wanted. Then they made several trips to the swap shop. I got some cleaning done in the kitchen.

I went home for breakfast. Then I realized I out of breakfast mix and had to make more. So I did that and made breakfast. I ate, then Chris and I went to the commissary for groceries. I wanted to go to town, but it was getting late. I divided up the money for 615 and put it in envelopes for my helpers.

I called Isadora about cleaning. I went to Eryne's house to pick up tomato cages and throw them in my trunk (which wouldn't shut). Then I picked up Isadora and went to 627. I left the tall tomato cages there. We cleaned for an hour. John came by to get his money. I gave her her envelop. Then I took her home.

I got home after 5. I got dressed for the colonel's wife's party. I drove up the hill and parked by the house. When I rang the doorbell, a lady let me in. Only a few were there, but more arrived soon. The theme was sparkle, and some of us really did. But a few came with nothing sparkly on.

She made sure everyone had a drink. Then she served a light supper. We sat around a table and talked. But there wasn't enough room for everyone so some people stood and talked. Later she gathered us in the living room and explained about the Kings cake. She cut a piece for everyone and we each took one to see who got the coin. She did. I got to hold Laura's baby.

Then we gathered by the Christmas tree for Janet to take pics. Four of them held up the lighted numbers 2 0 2 6. Janet put her camera on video and I did the touch on and touch off while they did a little dance.

Then Michelle and I excused ourselves and headed home. I changed into regular clothes and went to her house with sprouts as a gift. We chatted and I pulled up Rama. I thought I had the bomb code figured out, but when I entered it, it blew up. That must have happened 7 times. I checked and rechecked. I checked my phone and then I realized that 15 and 33 weren't code numbers, they were ordinal numbers. I looked up the 15^th and 33^rd numbers in the set of 40 primes and entered them. THEN, the bomb was defused and Arthur C. Clark came out and begrudgingly admitted that I might have saved a life or two. I had won the game.

It was almost 11, so I bid Casey goodbye and went home. Chris was still up. But he went to bed soon. I played catch-up and posted to my blog. It was after midnight when I got to bed.

Thursday

I got up around 8. I took supplements and made fiber gel. I practiced and got dressed. Janet texted me that she needed me to open the doors to the chapel. So I jumped in the car – but it was frosted. So I sprayed the windshield with diluted alcohol and squeegeed the frost off. Then I went to the chapel.

I unlocked the door and several ladies came in. We chatted as more arrived. Then we read the first and half of the second chapter of Genesis and discussed it. Later Janet said a prayer, then we talked some more. Janet wanted to pick up something at Jamie's house so I gave her the key.

I went to 615 to address the issues from yesterday. I scrubbed the tub and found dirt in places I hadn't seen before. Janet came by with the key. After 3 hours, I went home for lunch and to watch The Highwire. However, before I could finish it, I had to go back for inspection. But this time it went well. We all chatted amicably and signed the papers. I handed over the key and the remote.

Then I went to 627. I scrubbed burner bowls and left one to soak. Jack came by and took some stuff. I cleaned upstairs, mostly baseboards. Wendy came over with her husband. They took apart the glass desk and put it in their car. We chatted.

After they left, it was getting dark. So I shoved the TV into the den by the kitchen and moved all my cleaning stuff out of the way, setting up for Open House tomorrow. Then I went home for supper.

I ate fiber gel and heated up some ham. I read through today's messages. Finally Chris came home with a pizza. For some reason, it had mushrooms on it so he gave them to me.

Michelle came by for her half gallon of milk. I showed her the portable steam sauna. She helped me hook it up and get in. Then she stayed while I steamed. She brought me a glass of water, and some essential oils. When I stuck my head out, she took a pic, then went home.

I dried off and put on my nightgown. I made tea and Chris watched TV with me. Then I worked on my blog and went to bed.

Failed Inspection

 

Wednesday

I got up at 8. I prepared for coffee morning. I put on the CD lineup, which is still Christmas music. After meditation and tapping, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. I washed dishes. I mopped the floor and vacuumed the carpeted areas. I took a shower and got dressed.

I put some large bins in my car and drove to Eryne's house. There was a large planter in her yard with soil and she wanted to get rid of the soil so she could return the planter. So we dug the soil out and put half of it in the tubs. We drove them to my garden and emptied them, then went back for the other half. The tubs were quite heavy.

I immediately went to 615 for inspection. The inspectors were waiting for me. We went in and looked around. They found multiple things they were not happy with. Mostly fans and bathrooms. Jack said I should reschedule the inspection. Then they left.

I went home and called John. I explained that they were not happy with smudges on the fan blades. I made some egg salad. After school, I talked to Isadora and she agreed to meet me after her church activity to go over the bathrooms.

I gathered what John needed to clean the fans. I went to Jamie's house to clean the stove and kitchen and pick up the stepladder. It was after 5 when I went to 615 to drop off the vacuum, cloths and ladder for John.

When I got home, I checked Facebook. I looked at possible sewing projects. Chris came home from work. I compared two pairs of pants to see which one was larger. I noticed the hems were coming down on one of them, so I handsewed it back in place.

Isadora called to say she was leaving the activity. I told her to call when she'd had supper. I investigated options for the sewing project. I watered the plants. When she called, I went to pick her up. We went to 615 and saw John had been there. The fans looked good, but I still saw marks. Then I showed her how to buff the chrome in the bathroom. I tried cleaning the sliding window track. After that, we struggled to get the mirrors streak-free. It was a game we couldn't win, so finally we quit and I took her home.

I made tea and Chris and I watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I put on the leg massagers and worked on my blog. I looked up ways to clean a window without streaks. Turns out hard water is a culprit.

Tuesday

I got up at 8. I made fiber gel and practiced and exercised. I had to mend a pair of my socks, so I also mended some of Chris' socks. Over a dozen white ones and two black ones.

I went to 615 to finish the last spots and to sort through all the stuff that I took out of my back seat and to throw out or reorganize it.

I stopped by Housing to schedule two inspections. I stopped by the post office to pick up mail and to check out the key I found at 615. Not a mail key.

I went home to have fiber gel and read outside. Then I made and ate breakfast. I checked e-mail. I went to Saronna's house to play. We talked about cleaning out Jamie's garage on Friday.

I went to 627 to clean. Later Isadora came over. I washed the windows and vacuumed upstairs while she cleaned the bathrooms. Then I took her home. I went home to heat ham and cauliflower for supper. I read e-mail while listening to a podcast on the Evanthea clinical trial. I worked on my blog. I tried to set up the wet sauna, but there was a piece missing. I found some PVC to replace it.

I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Then I went back to the project, tightening the connections. Finally I got it together and put it in the cover, which was almost too tight to zip up.

Chris went to bed. I watched health videos while wearing the leg massagers. Then I went to bed.

Monday

I got up around 8. I rinsed the sprouts and took supplements. I brought in the milk and eggs that got delivered. I made egg salad and steamed two more batches of eggs. I poured out half a gallon for Michelle and heated the rest to 100 F. I put some Biogaia probiotic in it and moved it to the dehydrator to 'cure'. I checked e-mail and iced my wrist while the eggs steamed.

I went cleaning for all but 2 hours, then went to Jamie's house to push an item out into the driveway for pickup. I went home for lunch. I found and chose some hymns for next Sunday.

I went to deliver cash to Tarah for the vacuum. I went to the library for copies of a hymn. I stopped by Emily's office to drop off Jamie's swap shop key. Finally I went to 615 to mop upstairs. I carried cleaning stuff to my car, and took it to Jamie's house. I swept there, then took pics of the bigger stuff left behind

I went home for supper. More ham. Then I went to band. The chaplain took down the Christmas tree while we practiced. We also played from our Broadway book. Turns out he's a big fan of musicals.

It was 7:30 when I got home. I separated the curds from the whey. I read messages. I worked on my blog from yesterday. I made tea, and we watched tv. I read e-mail etc, then went to bed.

Sunday

I got up after 8. I took supplements. I looked up how to fold the inversion table, and how to test honey. When Chris got up, I practiced. It did not go well. I prepared a week's worth of supplements, I put frozen ginger on my wrist, and read e-mail. I opened a box with a dress in it and laid it on my sewing room table to alter. I started a new batch of sprouts.

I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I took the cheese squares from last week and headed out.

When I got there, I could feel the AC blowing cool air on the front row – again. So I spoke to the chaplain and we examined the control box but there was nothing we could do. Then I assembled my trombone and we sang praise songs. The chaplain gave his sermon and the musicians played two hymns.

After the service, Randy showed us where the real AC controls were and we turned off both side. I stood against a warm register and almost couldn't leave. Finally, I took the cheese squares and went home.

When I got home, I turned my phone back on. There was a message from Jamie asked me to come over ASAP. So I jumped back in the car and drove over to the motel. The cheese squares were still in the car so I grabbed them and went into the motel. Jamie was rushing around, addressing last minute items. She found a container to put the cheese squares in. Then she pushed a loaded cart out to the truck. Friends stood around hugging and tearing up. I bid her farewell and headed out.

I went to Pinyon to give a quote. They were moving out, but still had lots of stuff. Thankfully they won't be ready to sign for a week or more.

I went home, changed clothes. I rubbed DMSO on my wrist. I read e-mails and deleted them. Then people signed in for the game. I ate the supper Chris had prepared as we played.

After the game, I made tea and posted to my blog. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I kept frozen ginger on my wrist as we watched. Later, I put on leg massagers. I read text in open windows so I could close them.

I clicked on the 'save' icon for today's notes and Open Office crashed. When it recovered, 95% of the notes I wrote today were gone. I tried to recreate my day, then got ready for bed.

Saturday

I got up after Chris left for church. Probably 9. I took supplements, exercised and got dressed. Chris came home from church and I asked him for a massage. I read messages until he was ready. Then we went back and spread an old sheet on the bed to protect it from the coconut oil.

Afterward, I took a shower and got dressed again. I opened some of the boxes that came yesterday. I went to 615 to get some cleaning supplies. When I got back, I made and ate breakfast. I read some articles, and such.

I refilled my Dawn/vinegar bottle and headed to Tina's house. We talked for a bit, then I cleaned the bathrooms and the office. Jamie called and needed me to open her house. So we agreed on 5. I talked to Tina some more, and then I drove back to base.

At home, I drank water, then went over to Jamie's house. She had already arrived. I let us in. We moved the little table she wanted out of the garage. We talked about things she still wanted to do. I gave her a pumice stone. She gathered a few things to ask her husband about. I encouraged her to call Michelle and talk about international travel with pets. Then we hugged goodbye.

I went to 615 to drop off the cleaning supplies. Then I went home for supper and e-mail. I also worked on my blog. Michelle called as I was getting ready for Project Night. She wanted berberine. I found an unopened one in my supplement box. So I brought it with me.

When I got to the chapel, I was alone. I turned on the lights in the fellowship hall. I turned on the Christmas tree in the dark sanctuary and sang hymns in its light. Then Michelle arrived, followed by her family. So we went to the fellowship hall to set up. She bought the berberine from me.  Casey put up the Nintendo and Michelle played Mario 3 as we talked.

It was after 9 when we packed up and turned off the lights. I went home. I helped Chris make the bed with the new mattress cover and clean sheets. I read e-mail and watched a video of a man claiming 3iAtlas knocked out 89 satellites and is slowly deploying around our planet. He said it while smiling the whole time so I figure its AI.

Then it was time for bed.

Friday

I got up at 8, took supplements, and got dressed. I exercised, then prepared envelopes for Davis, John and Isadora. Chris left for the office and I went to Jamie's house to open the door for Tarah.

She was running behind, so I delivered John's envelop and cleaned a bit at 615, then went back to Jamie's house. Tarah wasn't far behind. I opened the door. Her husband got the dryer out while she and I took flattened boxes from the closet. They were loading their car to deliver the stuff to Jamie's sister. We talked a bit, then I went back to 615 to clean for 90 minutes.

When I got home, I ate fiber gel and went to the post office for mail and packages. I also picked up envelopes at the swap shop. I went home and asked Chris to help me carry in the boxes. I texted Tarah to see if she wanted to clean 215 for me.

I made and ate breakfast. I went to her house and dropped off the vacuum that needed fixing (since her husband offered to look at it). But he wasn't there. So I left her a message. I went to 615 to use the fan duster. Then I called her and met her a few houses away. We chatted briefly and I went home.

Chris and I took my car to the gas station. He filled the tank and two water bottles. He picked up a box of beverages. Then we went to the commissary for weekly groceries. They had the duck that he ordered.

We brought the groceries home. I went to 615 to get the ham and bring it home. Chris popped it in the oven. I read some e-mail and messages. I went back to 615 to buff the floors. The buffer isn't very effective, but running it helps me see all the spots that need to be scrubbed up by hand. I had to use a metal scrubbie on some spots.

After a while, John and Michele came in. She conversed with him while he worked on fans. I left at 5:15 and went by Jamie's house to see if a package had been delivered. Then I stopped at 74 to tell them their package had arrived at 615.

Finally I went home. Chris had the ham baking in the oven. I ate fiber gel, prayed, and sat down in front of my laptop. I read messages and ate ham. I listened to a video on social security. I posted to Facebook for Project Night. I worked on my blog.

I got ready for Game Night. I took the cheese and whey and a bottle of tea. We chatted for awhile. I gave Isadora her envelop. I loaded the game and went where I thought I was supposed to go, but couldn't get through. So Michelle let me use her tablet to find a walkthrough that showed me that the door was in a different place. So I played from there. Then I got stuck again. I had to go back to the original restore. Things went better, but I checked the walkthru and saw something I missed. Sadly, it turned out that there wasn't enough time left to complete all the steps before the bomb went off and destroyed Rama (and me).

So I came up with another plan, but it was after 11, so I thanked them and went home. Chris was already asleep. I got ready for bed and joined him.

Thursday

I woke up before Reveille. There was no snow on the ground here on base, but there was in the pass. Chris got up when his alarm went off at 7 since the base was opening late. I got up at 7:30. I brushed my teeth and got ready for the day. I practiced, exercised and made egg salad. I went cleaning soon after 8:30.

At 10, I went to the chapel for Bible study in snow flurries. Plenty of ladies showed up. The plan was to start studying Genesis, but we spent the whole hour talking about birth experiences and amazing things God has done lately.

I told them about the stuff Jamie had left behind. I went home to get her garage opener. When I got to her house, it didn't work. So I went back for the key. When I got there, the ladies were waiting. I went inside and opened the garage door. They looked around and took some stuff, but not as much as I had hoped. But one lady said she'd be back for the big shelves.

They left and I closed the door and turned out all the lights. I headed to 615, but noticed it was almost noon. So I went home for lunch. I watched The Highwire. It was over early, so I went back to 615 and put in another hour.

Then I had to go home for the maintenance people to do their yearly inspection. It took about 45 minutes. He tried the doors and lights. He inspected the plumbing and replaced batteries in the smoke detectors.

I called Isadora to meet me at 615. I went over and got started. She showed up a bit later and finished the bathrooms while I finished most of downstairs and started on a bedroom upstairs.

I took her home at 5:20, then went to Jamie's house. People were there waiting to get the shelves. I opened the garage door and they took the shelves and a few other things. Davis and his girlfriend came over and took more stuff. They asked me for a quote to clean her house. I couldn't come up with a time.

I went home. I ate fiber gel and put supper in the oven. Chris came home with a pizza. We talked. I read e-mail until the turkey soup was hot. Then I ate it. I listened to several podcasts, then worked on my blog. I made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I read e-mail and articles while wearing the leg massagers. I unsubscribed to at least one thing. Then I went to bed.

 Wednesday

 

I got up at 8:30, having gone to bed late and not been able to sleep. I got ready for coffee morning: supplements, exercise, reading, meditating and tapping.

Afterward, I cleaned bathrooms, washed dishes, vacuumed and showered. I got dressed and went to inspection of 83C. They looked around, we signed the papers. They were iffy on keeping the door mat, so I took it for the swap shop. There was dirt under it, so I went to 615 for a broom. After sweeping the door stoop, I went to the swap shop to drop off the mat.

I went to Jamie's house for the signover. The inspectors were waiting. She wasn't there, but I talked to her son. Then she and her husband showed up. We signed the papers. The Housing rep told her she had to remove her personal items immediately. Jamie was stressed about the vet not giving them the certificates they were promised on time.

Then the inspectors left. I left, went home, took down two strings of lights and tried to get them back in their boxes. A maintenance man came to fix the slow drain in the tub. I looked up how to store strings of lights. I saw a message from Saronna: she had something for Jamie. So I went to Saronna's house to pick it up. We talked, then I went to Jamie's house. She seemed much calmer. I gave her the ointment. We talked and she showed me what was left in the house. Tarah was there, too. She was going to deliver some stuff, but she needed to get in this weekend. We talked about replacing the battery in the garage control so she could get in.

Finally we all left. It was too late to clean. I went home. It was almost 5:30. I had a bite to eat. I read the accumulated messages for the day. I unsubscribed from a few more things. Chris came home from work. We talked about visiting Costa Rica. I want to find out what can be easily bought there so I know what I can leave behind (like Christmas lights).

I worked on my blog while listening to a podcast on autism. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I put on the leg massagers and read e-mail. Chris wanted to fold the laundry, so I took the massagers off and we folded it and put it all away. Then I put the massagers on again. I listened to the Psalms audio for awhile, then went to bed.

Another long day of cleaning

 

Tuesday

I got up at 8. It was a lot lighter than yesterday at the same time. I had slept well. I took supplements and practiced. I checked e-mail. I unsubscribed from a few more lists. I ate a hard-boiled egg.

I went to 83C at 9:30. I carried stuff out to my car. I finished a few spots here and there.

I mopped the tile floors. I went to 615 to get some baking soda and rubbing alcohol. I scrubbed the sink at 83 and the salt machine. I vacuumed my footprints from the living room carpet and locked the door behind me.

I went to the swap shop to drop off stuff and home to get the key to 215. I went by Housing to schedule inspection for 83 for tomorrow. Then I went back to sweep the shed and remove branches from the back patio.

I went to Mario's house to return his keys. He didn't answer the doorbell, so I wrote a message on an envelop and put the keys inside. I tried to slide it under the garage door but it wouldn't fit. So I put it inside the screen door.

Then I went to 615 to clean for half an hour. After that, I went home to make and eat breakfast. Mario called about his keys and I told him they were at the front door. Chris came home with Michele. She made him aware of a rip in his pants. So he put on another suit. He wanted me to patch the pants (which have been patched 3 times already – but on the other side). Argh.

Approaching 2, I took the half gallon of milk to Michelle's house, then went to Saronna's house to play music. Her son played on the floor while we practiced the ornamented version of When The Saints Go Marching In.

I went back to 615 to clean. I called John and he came over an hour later. He cleaned for 50 minutes, then wasn't feeling well, so he went home. I stayed till 5:30, then went home. I met MeryAnn standing in the street with our pie plate. We talked until Chris drove up behind me.

We drove up to our house. I ate fiber gel and heated a bowl of turkey soup for supper. He changed clothes and made himself a burrito. I ate and read messages etc. I logged my time and John's time. I figured out how much we each get from 83C. Saronna texted me about helping me get stuff out of Jamie's house after she signs it over.

I posted to my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then I went back to my laptop to read the latest messages. I ran across a product with a special probiotic strain that I had been looking for. So I went looking for other products with the same strain, hoping to find one significantly cheaper. I spent too long and went to bed late.

Monday

I got up at 8, wondering why it was so dark. It was raining. It had been a bad night for RLS and the only thing that seemed to stop it was using a roll-on on the center of each foot.

I took supplements and made more breakfast mix. I refilled some small containers. I got dressed. I went cleaning at 9:30 at 83. I started vacuuming the bedrooms. Then Jamie called and asked if she could borrow my car to drive the family to Tooele. I said yes, so then I quickly ran a few small trips: I got the bigger vacuum from 615. I knocked on 647 to return his keys, but he didn't answer. I went back to 615 to clear out everything in the back seat. Then I vacuumed it.

I went back to 83, finished vacuuming and started shampooing. A maintenance man called, wanting to get into the swap shop to fix a leak. So I ran over there to unlock it. I ran back to finish the shampooing.

When noon came, I went home to make and eat breakfast. I read e-mail and articles. Getting ready to leave at 2, I noticed the cooler outside the door had a gallon of milk in it. So I brought it in. I poured out half for Michelle. I heated the other half to 100 and put it in the dehydrator.

So it was 2:30 when I left for 83C. I worked on walls and baseboards and stuff left behind. Jamie called and asked to borrow my stepladder. So I went to get the stepladder and brought it to her. While I was there, she had a counter top full of stuff the packers didn't take. Also some cabinets. I took some green tea and cheese and a ham.  

It was 4:10, back at 615, I started cleaning.  Isadora came over and worked in the bathrooms. Since I didn't have the stepladder, I worked on windows and the vertical blinds. At 5:30, we left.  I took her home.   I went home and ate some cold turkey soup. Then I went to band.

When I walked into the chapel, the lights were off, but the tree was lit. It was so calming. I sat and sang to the tree. Then I saw headlights, so I turned on the overhead lights. Keli came in with Caleb, followed by Saronna.

We practiced hymns for Sunday and some Easter songs. When my lip gave out, we packed up. Saronna asked me about doing a sewing project with the girls at her church on a Wednesday night. Then we went home.

 I did some Sudoku. I put rennet in the milk. I ate chia seed. I jotted notes for my blog. I contacted John about working tomorrow. I worked on my blog. I computed my time at 83 and 615 to log it. I made tea and we watched another episode of Criminal Minds.

I read the latest messages. I listened to a hypnosis session by Brad Yates and was headed to bed when I remembered the milk.  I pulled it out of the dehydrator.  I sliced up the curds.  I separated out as much whey as I could and put the cheese in a jar.  When the whey was in the fridge, I went to bed.

Sunday

I got up at 8. I brushed and took supplements. I made fiber gel. I checked messages and practiced. I made cheese squares and steamed two batches of eggs. I watched a synopsis of the news stories from last year. I looked for an organic cotton mattress cover.

I made and ate breakfast. I got dressed for church. I put the cheese squares in a container and went to church. I left them in the back and went up front to assemble my trombone and put the music on the stand in front of the piano.

The service started with Keli and Chaplain singing three praise songs. We all sang along. Then the doctor said a prayer for the offering. The chaplain gave his sermon – seemed to cover several topics. We the band played our two hymns. Then the chaplain gave out communion to those who wanted it.

After the service, I talked to several people and headed toward the back to pick up the cheese squares. Jedediah informed me that he was on door patrol. So he checked the side doors to see that they wouldn't open, and he locked the front doors. So cute.

When I got home, I put the cheese squares away and changed my clothes. I realized that everything I wore was a man-made fiber. So I looked online for cotton slips and bras.

Chris heated up a bowl of soup for me. He also made a pan of mushrooms with a bit of bacon. Then we signed in for the game. Of course we all talked for close to an hour. Then we decided to run after the bad guys. I spent most of my turns running, as did most. John however, was much faster and actually got in some attacks before we quit. He was quite injured, though, and when I catch up with his character next week, I will heal him.

During the game, I finalized orders for a mattress cover, dress, slip and socks. Later I ordered two bras. I worked on my blog and then made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds.  I went back to reading and unsubscribing from things I don't have time to read.  Then I went to bed.  But Chris stayed up and I couldn't sleep knowing I would wake up when he came to bed.  So I went to get him.  And afterward, RLS set in.

Saturday

I got up just before 8:30, hearing Chris leave for Mass. I took supplements and prepared fiber gel and chia seed. I looked at Rama walkthroughs and made notes. I played my trombone, then made up a new batch of supplements for the week.

I asked Chris for a massage. He used up the last of the coconut oil. We had some snuggle time, and he took another shower. I took my own shower and got dressed. I ate some fiber gel and read online. Then I made breakfast and ate it outside. In January! I came back in for the fruit course.

After reading messages, I walked to the post office to get mail. I found a package. I checked out the swap shop and saw a light was left on so I turned it off. When I got home, I put together what I needed for class. Then I took all that, and headed out. I stopped on the way to return the shed keys to the gentleman, but he wasn't home.

So I proceeded to the chapel. I set up three machines and laid out the sample. I cleared the bells table and put all that stuff away. Then I called Saronna to see where she was. She said they were coming. So I waited in the back of the chapel till they arrived. They came with Randy. I asked him to help me carry the table back to the fellowship hall.

Then I showed the sample and told the kids what size fabric they needed. As each one got their piece ready, I ironed scraps of fusible interfacing to cover it. Then I had them fold it in half and sew around, leaving a gap. Wilhelm had like an inch seam allowance. They all opted for ties rather than a band of elastic. I showed Wilhelm how to top stitch around it and he stayed very close to the edge this time.

Moire finished first, then Wilhelm, and Sophia took longer. I'm not sure why. Isadora came by to sit with her. After she left, I took Isadora to 615 and we cleaned for a little over an hour. I had to climb on the countertop to reach the cupboards.

When it was time to go, I took her home, then went home myself. Chris made turkey soup. I ate fiber gel and entered my VMIS hours for December. Then I had a bowl of soup.

I took my trombone and headed back to the chapel. I unlocked it and turned on the lights. Saronna and three kids were right behind me. She brought them for rhythm class. So we got drumsticks and the first rhythm sheet. We played through it one measure at a time, then several at a time. Sophia already knew how, but the others seemed to catch on.

After they left, I went to the fellowship hall to find Casey and his kids working on computers. We talked for awhile, then I sat down with a machine to fix our kingsize mattress cover. It was like trying to quilt a kingsize quilt. I was glad for the table space, but it was still difficult.

When 9 came, I started packing up. They packed up and left. I made sure the lights were out. I heard water running and turned off the faucet. Then I went home.

I threw the cover on the bed. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Then we made the bed with clean sheets.  I sat down to write my blog post.  Later we went to bed.

Friday

I got up at 8:30. I took supplements and got ready for the day. I'm not sure if I practiced or not. I did check e-mail. Then at 10 I met Isadora at the house. She cleaned upstairs while I cleaned in the kitchen. We left about 11:45.

I dropped her off at home, then went home to eat fiber gel. I looked for a tutorial for a crayon holder. I took screenshots of it. Then I made and ate breakfast.

We went to the commissary for the usual groceries. Then we went to Tooele for mullein tea and a calendar. We found the tea at Melanies and the calendar at Cal Ranch. But we had to stand in line for a long time to pay for it.

When we got back (having finished the book on CD), I ate fiber gel. Chris went to get a hair cut. Jamie came over for some cash. I ate some sprouts. I spent an hour finding interfacing and making the sewing project. I ate supper, then spent more time filling it with paper and crayons, taking the pics and posting the announcements for Sewing Class and Project Night.

I got ready for game night. I rubbed spots on my shirt with a paste of baking soda and Dawn. I put on a clean shirt, and put some cheese in a jar. I made a bottle of tea and went to Michelle's house.

Casey was playing another game, but he quit and put up Rama. We talked for a bit. Michelle was in bed. I resumed the game from last time. I went into the fountain room and got the items that I read about in the notes. I figured out the number on the ceiling and put it into the wall unit to extend the spikes. I climbed down to the lower level. There were several things to pick up down there, but I was unable to get to either of them. I did pick up the laser, but it disappeared from inventory. I reloaded a different game and worked the biot angle. But no luck there either. Eventually I quit the game. Then Michelle came out to greet me. We talked till 11:20. Then I thanked them and went home.

Chris was still up. I wanted to see what I missed in Rama, but went to bed instead.

A New Year, 2026

 

Thursday

I got up at 8:30. I rinsed the sprouts and took supplements. I prepared the fiber gel and chia seeds.

I went cleaning at 615 at 10am. Isadora was already there. It took us a while to get started. She put on music on a bluetooth speaker. She cleaned the bathroom downstairs while I cleaned out the fridge and found 3 eggs in a transparent egg tray.

I took her home at 11:35. I ate fiber gel, then read a few messages and started making breakfast. I ate breakfast while reading messages and watching The Highwire. I put together a sauna bag with a bathing suit, a towel and a shampoo bar. Michelle and the ladies picked me up around 2.

We talked as she drove us all the way to Provo. We stopped at a gas station to use the restroom, then proceeded to a place called Plunj. When we went in, we were issued towels and taken to see the bathroom/changing room. That was followed by the sauna area. The sauna was twice the size of the one at Dugway, and was reportedly at 220F. There was also a cold pool which clocked in at 45F. And a warm bucket shower to be used between the two.

We all went into the bathroom to change. There was one very large bathroom stall, and two showers. Not much in the way of counter top space. So it was a struggle to change and get ready. Then we proceeded to the sauna and went inside. There were two sand timers to signal 15 minutes had passed. The attendant brought a ladle of water with essential oils in it to dump on the hot rocks.

We sat in the heat for 15 minutes, then went to the bucket shower which was a bucket with a rope. I pulled the rope and got doused with warm water. Then we each tried the cold pool. He said to stay in for 5 minutes, but none of us could. In fact, I couldn't get in any further than my thighs, and only briefly.

So we did several sets of sauna, bucket shower, cold plunge, and rest. He brought us some cups with water and LMNT in them. (It's electrolytes)  Later, two by two, we went back to the changing room to shower and dress.

After we left, we went to a grocery store for nibbles. Jenni wanted to go out to eat, but I wanted to go home and eat. We had to go back to return a shower kit which we thought belonged to a friend, but we were wrong. Then we drove all the way back to base. They dropped me off at my house. It was so nice to see the white lights on.

Chris heated some turkey for me. I read messages and worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I read e-mail and messages, then I went to bed. I had almost fallen asleep when Chris came to bed.

New Years Eve

 

Wednesday

I got up at 8:30 and started coffee morning. After the usual routine, I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen. Michelle came over to drop something off at the swap shop. I shooed her out so I could take a shower, and get dressed.

I went to 215 for a sign-over. Then I went to 615 to put the stove filters in ammonia water. I also put vinegar-soaked paper towels on the toilet rings.

I dropped the spray vinegar off at 83C. I scrubbed the tub to distribute the soap. I stopped for mail, then went home to finish cleaning the house.

Isadora called saying she was ready to clean. I went back to 83C to clean windows while she finished the bathroom. After she left, I called Saronna to come get some of the stuff left behind. She brought the oldest and youngest and they took most of the stuff.

I left at 5:15,. I went home and made egg salad. Chris showed up with alcohol of some kind, then ran off to Michele and John's house. I looked at my Facebook feed for awhile, then worked on my blog. I donated to 10 charities which I meant to do on Giving Tuesday but they didn't contact me.

Chris came home from their house. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. I read more messages and posted a trombone rendition of Auld Lang Syne. I worked on my VMIS hours. I relaxed with the leg massagers and went to bed.
