Getting ready for Palm Sunday

In the middle of the night, I got physically restless. So I got up and took some magnesium (which I had taken before I went to bed) and had some water. I felt better and went back to bed. I didn't sleep right away. But I think I was sleeping when I heard Chris get up to shut my alarm off. I slept again and got up at 8:30.
I took the first supplement. I brushed and swished and trimmed blocks. Then it was time for the next one. I soaked nuts and rinsed sprouts. I checked e-mail. I washed dishes. I called Michele. I made and ate breakfast.
I laid out the blocks to audition the order. Jennifer called to ask if I had a corsage pin. I looked but could not find one.
I packed up my trombone and music and headed to church. I unpacked and set up with the tuba and trumpet players. We played through the pieces and talked about when to sit up front and when to sit in the pew. After the practice, I put my trombone in the choir room. Mary ran through the anthem with me. Then Jennifer and I talked about health stuff. I gave her some vitamin C and glutathione patches and she gave me apple chips and a vase of azaleas.
After she left, I called Leanne who wanted to do something with me today. It was going to take her half an hour to get there, so I made some phone calls; short one to Chris, longer one to William and a long one to Dad, who was having his usual brain fog. I walked circles around my car while talking. Leanne drove up while I was on the phone.
I got in her car and she took me over the mountain to see the flowers and then past her road, and on around to 431. We were going to go to a thrift shop, but my back protested before we got there. So she pulled off at the mall and we walked around the parking lot, talking. When my back had recovered, we headed out again, but saw a sign for a yarn shop so we pulled in. We walked around the shopping center and the yarn shop. The lady expounded upon the reasons why working with yarn was better than working with quilt fabric. We nodded and smiled, but neither of us were about to quit quilting in favor of knitting.
I was tired and needed my chillow, so she took me back to my car. Then I drove myself home. I got the mail. Chris and I walked around the outside of the house spotting wasp nests. They were quite small and he knocked them down. Then I sat with my chillow having lunch and jotting notes for my blog.
I copied some pages from Elaine's work book on the printer with no problem. Then I printed out new patient forms from the chiropractic website, but the copy was completely unreadable. Chris downloaded it to his laptop and e-mailed it to me so I could use the old desktop to print it. Slight better copy, but still mostly unreadable. However, I read the form on the screen and wrote answers where it seemed they should go.
Chris made sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts. I had some of each. I looked for fabric to cover the rolled up towel. I did not see anything in my stash that I wanted to sacrifice for the job. Then I found some gray bags from Lowes. I cut one into three inch strips, sewed them together and wrapped them around the towel ring. But it did not look any better than the towel. Sigh.
I made tea. I practiced the flute. I practiced the choir anthem. Chris and I folded laundry. Chris packed for his trip tomorrow. Chris made up the bed with clean sheets while I put on the pillow cases.
We watched two episodes of ST:NG. I took evening supplements and wrote my blog post.

On the road again

I heard my alarm go off at 7:30. I was in no hurry to get up. But when I did, I brushed and swished and found some fabric for sashing. I cut it into 2” strips. I started sewing it to the blocks, but quit when my back complained. I took supplements according to the regimen. I boiled water for nuts and rinsed the sprouts. When I had worked my way up to breakfast, it seemed too early, so I waited. I read some e-mail and cleared others. I alternated hot and cold on my back. I listened to a podcast on mercury in fillings. I washed the dishes in the sink and all the spoons. Then I made and ate breakfast. Afterward, I meditated with Deepak.
Then I decided to take a walk. I wanted to know how long it would take to walk to the front gate, but did not want to have to walk all the way back if it was tiring. So I chose to see how far I could get in 20 minutes. Well, I set off at a pretty good pace. About 10 minutes later, I felt rain drops. But I kept going because I had a plan, and darn it, I am tired of constantly having to change my plans (and/or the schedule). It never did rain on me. At 18 minutes, I was almost there, but walking on the wrong side of the road. There was a barrier that I would have had to step into the road to avoid, so I turned around. I concluded that I could get there in half an hour but would have to cross the street.
On the way back, I explored a housing loop that I had never been on before. Then my knee started to hurt so I slowed down. I ended up walking 45 minutes. I cooled my back off while I checked e-mail again and tied up a few loose ends. I had told the Korean doctors that I would see them Thursday or Friday but I did not want to go. I tapped on that a lot. And I still didn't want to go.
I sat at my machine to finish up a dog bed. The blocks were still under my needle so I sewed the rest of the strip. But the machine messed up. I changed bobbins twice and rethreaded the top once in order to cure the problem, whatever it was. Then I sewed the dog bed shut. I sat down with the chillow one more time while I put together a Swanson's order.
Around 2, I called Dr. Lee to make sure they were still at the clinic. Then I drove over there. He asked me to make a phone call in response to an e-mail he had gotten. I called, and had to leave a message. I walked back and forth for half an hour, then called again, and left another message. While I was waiting, a young man came in the door. He said he was a student at Oakwood college from Rowanda and selling books to cover his tuition. Dr. Lee and Dr. Grace looked at the books and bought one. I kept walking. Finally, about 3, I said I needed to go home and sit with my chillow. Dr. Lee gave me another box of onion juice. Dr. Grace said I would be in more pain if I were not drinking the onion juice. She gave me a banana and two oranges. She tried to give me a small poinsettia but I told her I could not take care of it. Then I went home.
Driving wasn't so bad really. But then I only lived 5 minutes away. When I got home, I took a packet of Vitamin C. I put some soup in a bowl with a few chunks of beef heart. I sat with the chillow, which was losing its cool. I jotted notes for my blog.
Chris came home. He said his boss invited me to call her if I needed anything next week. I sat against the heating pad and read the NAET book. Then I sewed blocks to strips and ironed them. I made a small salad for supper and took the supper supplements. I read e-mail and finished the Solitaire game from last night. I practiced my trombone and flute.
We watched two episodes of ST:NG. I used the chillow while watching. Afterward, I swished and looked up some of the actors. Then I finished up my blog post and got ready for bed.

Foot detox and NAET

I heard my alarm go off at 7:30. Nature decreed that I get up whether I felt rested or not. Afterward, I swished while auditioning fabric for sashing. I drank water and started the morning supplements. I boiled water to soak nuts in. I rinsed my sprouts. I called Chris to tell him that I needed a ride to the doctor's office.
When I got to the end of the morning supplement process, I made breakfast. I ate it while watching the second half of the last episode of Broken Brain. I realized that I had never posted my notes for the cancer cures in India.
Chris came home about 10. I was walking up and down the street because it was such a nice day and because I wanted to do everything I could to prepare for the sitting that was about to happen. He ate his lunch and I gathered things to take with me. I also started a loaf of bread at his request.
Around 10:30 we headed to the doctor's office. I gave instructions as we went. When we got there, he went inside with me. I told him he didn't have to stay because I had a friend to pick me up. So he kissed me and went back to work. I paced up and down the waiting room to avoid sitting. Finally the doctor's husband came to get me. He showed me to a small room with a foot bath and a machine. Using handheld sensors, he checked my mineral levels and said they were good. Then he instructed me to place my feet in the tub of hot water into which an ionizer was placed. He left the room while I started to read. Music played in the background.
After 30 minutes, he came back and took the tub. He gave me a towel to wash my feet. The water was a dark orange. He mentioned heavy metals and other things in the water. Then he left. I stood and stretched in various ways. Then his wife, the doctor, came to get me.
She took me to a room with an exam bed. I laid on my back and did some muscle testing. Then she have me a vial to hold. She had me lay on my stomach with the vial at my forehead and my other hand thumb to ring finger. She went up and down my spine. Then I rolled over. With a tens unit, she probed various points on my hands and feet, over and over. We talked as she did this. She gave me a card from a chiropractor and said to get an x-ray of my spine there. And then it was over.
I went up front to pay and schedule another treatment for next week. I went outside and called Beverly who was on her way. I walked around the house (her office is an old house) and investigated the flower beds. When Beverly arrived, I got in her car, and placed my rolled up towel in the seat for me to sit on.
She drove me to my church. I suggested that she could walk on the greenway. Then I went into the office to record the offering. But I was earlier than usual and the secretary was still there. I apologized and she insisted that I stay. She talked to me for awhile, then left to do other things. I got the money and the sheet from the safe. I sat at her computer and started recording. Then the council president came in from cleaning in the kitchen. She talked to me for awhile also. After she left, the recording went pretty quickly. I generated all the proper reports and put them in the appropriate boxes.
I locked up and went outside to find Beverly in her car. I got in and she drove me to the bank. I deposited the money and then she took me home. We had no trouble getting on the arsenal. She only had an hour before work, so I thanked her (she was a life saver) and she went home to get ready.
I made myself lunch and took the lunch supplements. I went through all the new supplements and marked down how long each one will last. I looked at a website to find cheaper replacements for those that were used up the soonest. I made an order to Nuts, com and to Swansons. Chris came home from work. I called one of the chiropractors that the doctor recommended and made an appointment for Monday afternoon. I hope to be better by then because Chris is going out of town for a week and cannot drive me there.
I mowed the rest of the back yard. It was slow going because the battery was running out of power. When I was finished, I asked Chris to bring in the battery and plug it to the charger.
I listened to a podcast while clearing e-mail and playing Solitaire. I e-mailed my tapping buddy to see how she was doing after her surgery. I practiced my trombone and flute, sitting down for once. That's probably how we'll play in church. There was some pain in my spine associated with playing high D. I don't know why.
I played half a game of Solitaire, then made tea and took some of my supplements. We watched two episodes of ST:NG. My back wasn't feeling so good. I took the rest of my supplements. I sat in a chair against a heating pad and read about meridians. Then I sat at my laptop with the chillow and wrote my blog post for the day. I hoped the reduction in body temperature would help me sleep.

Broken Brain notes: Vision therapy improves neurological function. Ozone therapy helps kill pathogens and does more. Hyperbaric oxygen is useful in low-oxygen conditions. Stem cell therapy called Stromal Vascular Fraction uses autologous fat cells.

Cancer in India notes:
Doctors are concerned about GMO's there. Homeopathy is a recognized system of treatment. He gave a list of 8 homeopathic treatments for cancer. Even in great dilutions, nanoparticles of the original material are found. Aurvedic herbs for detox: curcumin, coconut oil, moringa, ashwagandha, bacopa. Avoid the use of electronics and wifi in the bedroom. Taking zinc and magnesium produces melatonin at night. Exposure to radiation and dirty electricity increases insulin levels. Raised insulin will raise cortisol which decreases melatonin. Eat local food which grows without help. It has resistance to the toxins etc in the atmosphere and that will protect you. One minute of anger will depress immune system for 6 hours. One minute of laughter will increase it for 24 hours. (So do yourself a favor and laugh at my jokes)
Pharmaceutical companies have found a way to pay doctors a commission for prescribing chemo drugs even though commissions for doctors are illegal there. Here, if a person is a Medicare patient, the doctor is allowed to charge the cost of the drug + 6%. So there is a financial incentive to prescribe the more expensive drugs. Mistletoe has been studied a lot as a treatment for cancer. Dr. Sandeep uses it as a monotherapy for his cancer patients. Mistletoe is a semi-parasitic plant that grows on a host tree, so it has different properties depending on the host. And that means you pick the one that is best for your type of cancer. Cancer is suppression of emotion. People come from all over the world to his clinic in Nashik which is two hours from Mumbai. Biopsies can cause cancer to spread. Dr. Motiwala uses angustura for bone cancer. Cancer starts in the mind.

Making plans for tomorrow

I got up at almost 9. I started the supplements. I swished and trimmed some nine-patch blocks. (I remembered that in the past my back pain has disappeared when sewing). I turned on the router and played the rest of the Broken Brain docuseries. I swept the floor in the dining room. I soaked and rinsed the sprouts. I soaked nuts for tomorrow. When I had finished all the morning supplements, I made breakfast and took the meal supplements. I listened to the cancer in India episode. I had to watch the words on the screen because of the accents of the doctors. I took notes. I called my doctor to find out when my appointment is tomorrow. I asked if there was any advice the doctor had, but the lady said the doctor only works Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I mentioned the message I left last Friday and she said she (the receptionist) wasn't there on Friday. She said to give her a call by 5 if I could not make my appointment tomorrow. So I called Chris and he said he could drive me. It was so easy that I am guessing he thinks I am seeing a spine specialist, not primary care.
After breakfast I went for a long walk. It turned out to be an hour, although I did stop twice to talk to a lady who was walking on her lunch break. On the way back, I picked dock and wild lettuce. When I got home, I put the leaves in water and sat in a chair with the chillow.
I tapped on anger and other stuff that came up while sitting against a heating pad. I looked up some stuff for Faye. I texted Michele. I called Dr. Lee to say I wasn't coming today. I meditated. Chris came home from work. I looked up the doctor's supplements on Swanson, but they did not have it. So I looked for something similar. I took a shower and put on vitamin patches.
I called Dad. While we talked, I trimmed the rest of the blocks. After the call, I practiced my trombone and flute. Jennifer texted me that there will be a brass practice on Saturday at the church. I ate some beef heart for supper and took the third set of mealtime supplements. I texted Beverly to ask her to drive me around tomorrow so I can make the deposit from church. I made tea and we watched two episodes of ST:NG. I looked up some of the actors while swishing. Then I posted to my blog and went to bed.

To drive or not to drive

I got up about 8:30. I started taking the supplements because there is a long line of them and they have to be spaced apart. While swishing, I made a spread sheet listing all of the supplements and when to take them. All I have to do now is circle each thing as I take it.
I watched the next episode of Broken Brain, and spent part of it sitting against the Chillow. When I worked my way up the line of morning supplements and got to breakfast, it was only 10:30. I called Beverly to see if she and Anita were sandwiching quilts today, and they were going to. I asked her to call me when they started because my back seems to get better the longer I wait. I meditated, then made breakfast.
Beverly called and said they were ready. I put breakfast in the fridge. I drove to the church with my banner and a can of spray. Beverly had selected some books on banners from the books that Jane donated to the quilt group. I looked through those while she and Anita finished the quilt they were working on. I walked around the room and down the hall while they did mine. I stood around while they did their last one and then I headed home, leaning forward the whole way. I was very glad to have the banner sandwiched, but the toll on my back was troubling.
When I got home, I ate breakfast, and took a long walk. I visited the peony bush in the woods. It promised to be spectacular while it finally bloomed. When I returned, I sat in the green chair with a heating pad. I felt so much better. I meditated again. I listened to the Thailand cancer episode. Then I ate lunch and took the lunch supplements as well as vitamin E and omega-3's.
At 3:30, I tried putting a pillow and the towel ring in my car. I intended to drive to church. But it was not working so I drove around the block and parked again. I listened to more of the cancer episode. Chris came home while I was walking around. When the episode was over, I walked barefoot in the back yard for half an hour. I called Dad, but there was no answer. I sat with my chillow and sang songs to myself. Then I asked Chris to get the beef out of the fridge for me. I put some in a bowl and some in a jar so I can get at it myself tomorrow.
I called Dad a few more times, but he did not answer and the answering machine did not pick up. Finally I called Faye. She told me how she was preparing for Easter and had so many things to do. She also said that it was the extension of my legs in driving that made my back hurt, and to just wait for it to heal.
Chris' 8pm alarm went off. I made tea and practiced my trombone and flute. I am supposed to play this Sunday and am not sure that will happen. I sat on the couch and we watched “In Search Of” - A Call from Space. Then the disc was finished so we watched one episode of ST:NG.
We both retired to our laptops. I wrote my blog post and took the last supplements. By my count, I have had 9 cups of water today. Soon we will both hit the hay.

Thailand is in top 10 for medical tourism. Insulin is a way of getting cancer cells to eat something that will kill them. Low iron/high ferritin usually means cancer. Iodine helps keep cancer from spreading. Most people are iodine deficient. Hyperthermia is used to weaken cancer cells before other treatments. Cancer cells can revert to normal cells when the 'environment' is changed to be more oxygenated and metabolism is raised. Dr. Rife invented a machine to kill the microbes in cancer cells so they revert to normal cells. Any cancer program needs to include lots of healthy fats in the diet.

Grounded but ok

I was up in wee hours to use the bathroom so I took the first supplement and went back to bed. I did not sleep before Chris' alarm went off at 5am. I got up again to use the restroom and went back to bed. This time I did sleep because when I woke up, it was after 9. I was undecided if it was a good thing that my alarm was still turned off.
I got up to start the next supplement and swish. I put an eye chart on the way with a bent needle. I washed the current sprouts and soaked seeds for the next batch. I made a checklist of supplements and started checking them off. I listened to an episode on curing cancer in Malaysia. My notes are at the end of this post.
It was almost noon when I got breakfast. My inability to sit for more than a minute meant I was not going to sewing today. I meditated twice with Deepak to try to catch up. During the meditation, I sat, stood, and walked to keep my back happy. That did not help me meditate.
Later I took a walk. I got caught in the rain when I was nearly home and walked faster. Then I got an umbrella and went to check the mail, but there was none. I sat at the laptop with my Chillow. It felt ok to sit, but I kept rolling myself forward and backward so my back wouldn't get stiff.
I moved some of my plants out into the rain since they no longer need to be protected from freezing at night. But it was hard to bend down so I did not move all of them.
My back was tired so I laid down with the big piece of minki and rubbed it over my face and arms. It felt so good. When Chris came home from work, I asked him to rub it over my back and legs.

I ate beef heart and made a salad and took supplements. I watched videos and did some tapping. I was able to do more sitting, but still had to get up occasionally. I used the chillow then put it back in the fridge. I ate blueberries with cinnamon. I made tea. I practiced my trombone. I noticed that pinched nerve pain on the right side when I played my loudest. Not a deal-breaker.
We watched three episodes of “In Search Of”: Atlantis, psychic detectives, martians. Then Chris went to bed while I stayed up to post to my blog.

Curing cancer in Malaysia: chemotherapy stimulates cancer stem cells. Animals make their own vit C so they don't get many of the diseases we do. High dose vit C, high dose vit D3 and curcumin are used to kill cancer stem cells. Artemisinin, sulforaphanes and other components of cruciferous vegetables, B-17. Solasodine glycosides from Devil's apple plant target cancer cells which eat them and digest themselves to death. Normal cells do not eat these. It is contained in a cream called Curaderm as BEC-5. Nutritional therapies and changes in diet are also used. One doctor eats tumeric and ginger raw with the skin on. She says the smaller the fruit or vegetable, the more concentrated the nutrient content. They also use mistletoe extract. Cilantro is used for detoxification.

Better than yesterday

I woke up at 6:30 to go to the bathroom. But getting up was not so easy. We used the same method as yesterday and it went faster. But walking was incredibly slow at first. I needed Chris' help in the bathroom. Then I took the first supplement, which was a group of enzymes which clean the blood as long as there is no food in the stomach for them to work on.
Chris sat down to work at his laptop. I played the superman theme song to walk to. As Youtube would have it, other things came up afterward. It started playing theme songs with made-up lyrics by a group called Goldentusk. So funny that it hurt. My favorite line was from the Harry Potter theme song: Though the teachers never said it, staying alive meant extra credit.
During this time, I took supplements at intervals until I got to breakfast. I made my usual breakfast but did not add my own supplements, substituting the ones from the doctor. When Chris took a shower, I went back and asked him to wash me, too. He got me dressed afterward.
I noticed it was hard to sit for more than a minute. But my legs still got tired of walking around. So I rolled a towel and made a circle to sit on. That extended my sitting time to 5 minutes.
I watched the next episode on cancer treatments in Asia: Today's focus was Singapore.
Cancer is a wasting disease. Loss of muscle mass is the killer part. You can live with cancer if you avoid losing muscle mass. Singapore has third lowest cancer death rate. They grow snake grass to get out organic poisons. It is native to Singapore. Soursop is good, too. They have a community garden where they grow herbs for cancer and give them free to cancer patients. They also grow Leeia Indica for leukemia.
I went for a walk. It went fine and I could have walked longer but I was wary of overdoing it without knowing it. I sat on my rolled towel and read e-mail, getting up and down as needed. My friend Joyce suggested I use ice often. So I tried sitting against the cold sock of rice, which felt ok, but when I tried to get up, I couldn't lean forward. I had to use the arms to push myself up. So I tucked the sock into my waistband so I could walk around with it. Then I practiced my flute and trombone. The phone rang and I wondered if the neighbors were calling to complain. But it was my sister catching me up on current events.
I did some mowing. It felt ok, but I worried the whole time. So I did not finish the yard. Chris said he thought I babied my back too much and so it wasn't as strong as it should be. My gut feeling was not aligned with that. He thought I was moving around well, but I think he got that impression because I knew what movements not to make. I read about herniated discs online and watched some videos of tests and treatments.
Chris cooked pork in the oven and a dish of onions, garlic and peppers. I ate that for supper and some blueberries. I sat watching Episode 5 of Broken Brain 2 with a bottle of ice behind my back. For some reason, that made it hard to get up. But I did, every so often.
At 8 we watched three episodes of “In Search Of”: killer bees, earthquakes, and curse of the mummy. I sat some, but mostly walked around or swayed in place as we watched. Afterward, I took my evening supplements and sat down to write my blog. Chris went to bed, sleeping on the side I normally sleep on so I will be on the most accessible side.
