Filling backpacks

Tuesday

I woke up early, not sure why. I got up when my alarm went off. I drank hydrogen water and took supplements. I went out to water the potted plants. I watered the grass alongside the house. I filled in the gopher holes from yesterday – first with coffee grounds and then with dirt. Since there were no new ones, the pellets probably worked. I spread the rest of the dirt on the lawn. I also spread the rest of the coffee grounds in places where gophers tend to populate.

I came in to check e-mail, but the internet was down. I refilled the Green Pastures bottle with the Rosita bottle because it was easier to dispense. I found replacements for the supplements that were running out. I sewed a little pocket on the back of my potholder and put in the magnet that it used to hang on. I ate some hardboiled eggs. The internet was back up, so I checked e-mail and read messages. I watched a video where soldiers posted video clips of themselves torturing and killing Palestinians and rejoicing over it. Sick.

I went to 611 for a signover. I was going to park in Michele's driveway next door, but her car was in it (instead of in the garage). The nerve! So I had to park on the street. I stayed to clean for an hour and 40 minutes, then went home for lunch.

After eating fiber gel, I laid out and read. Then I made and ate breakfast. I read e-mail. I went back to clean for 2 hours. Boy, that stove is greasy! And the dried grease that ran down the sides is impossible to get off.

I went home and ate the rest of the fiber gel. I put supper in the toaster oven. I changed clothes, then ate supper. Chris came home. I got in his car and we went to the Keech room. They were serving ice cream. We joined the volunteers who were filling backpacks with donated pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. When they were all filled, we went back to the main room to socialize and to welcome the new colonel and his wife. I talked to Jenni, then to Eryne and finally to Ria. Sounds like events are being planned.

All the tables and chairs got packed up. So we left. I traded money with Jenni, who had lots of ones and fives from bagging at the commissary. Since I get paid in 20's, it was nice to have some smaller denominations.

We came home. I ate cheese and frozen watermelon. I looked through my sewing files for the next sewing project. Finally I worked on my blog and made tea. We watched one episode of Criminal Minds. Later he went to bed, but I stayed up to catch up on e-mail.
