Making the first half of the sewing project

Thursday

I got up after 7:30. I got dressed and went out to start the sprinklers. I made fertilizer and gave some to all the plants at home. I filed a report to ArMA because sprinklers were not coming on.

I made breakfast mix and parsed supplements for the week. I re-wrote Michelle's cover letter, then her husband decided not to send it. I ate fiber gel, and later made breakfast. I laid out in the sun. I wore the Kaatsu bands for the usual two rounds.

I went to the library for eggs and to ask what Keli needed done to her dress. When I got home, I hardboiled several batches of eggs. I tried to print the pattern for the bucket hat but the old computer would not boot up. So I went back to the library with my thumb drive. Melissa printed out the patterns for me. They were slightly larger than the 1” mark.

When I got home, I made copies. Then I cut out the smallest version and glued them to cardboard. I picked some fabrics, one was orange and the other had sunflowers. All the pieces needed to be cut on the fold. I fiddled with that to use up scraps and the least amount of fabric possible. I don't think the kids can (or would) do that.

I took a break to eat a supper consisting of liver and some greens from the tower garden. Then I sewed the 5 pieces of the outer fabric together and put it on my head. It did not look finished enough to take a pic. I made a salad. I searched for TTFD, a form of thiamine. When I found a version of it that didn't have silicon dioxide, I bought it.

I read e-mail for quite some time and listened to interviews. It was after 9 when I left the house and noted that the sprinklers were on. I went to John and Michele's house to put out food and water for the cat. I stayed to read a book for 30 minutes. Mostly the cat rolled around on my shoes and walked off.

When I got home, I read online for awhile, then went to bed.
