Wednesday
I got up after Chris left. I had slept more then the night before. I did a few things in the kitchen, then went out to water the potted plants. The sprinklers had done their job – attracting new gopher mounds. Sigh. I prepared for coffee morning with coffee, exercises and supplements. I was hoping that the lymph moving exercises would help the congestion or the headache, but no. Nor did the caffeine in the coffee. I meditated and tapped. I cleaned the bathrooms.
I worked on the kitchen and washed a bunch of dishes. I also emptied the dishwasher. Since Chris bought a new set of pans, they don't all fit in the cupboard. He came home to fix lunch and brought me a package of supplements from the post office.
I took an ivermectin. I laid in the sun to read, but it kept going behind a cloud. It took a while to collect my usual 20 minutes. I read e-mail in between. Faye and Michelle texted with me. I took a shower and put on clean clothes.
I read messages and e-mail. I laid in the recliner and put on headphones hoping for a nap. I think I did dose off, but not for more than an hour. When I got up, I noticed Chris had not come home from work. Figuring he was at Mass, I ate a piece of fruit and mowed the front lawn on both sides of the house. I guess my headache was gone. He came home just as I finished up. I plugged in the mower battery to recharge.
He made supper for himself. I watched videos on things people over 60 should do. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Criminal Minds. He read aloud one chapter of the devotional book. We discussed the chapter and questions for almost an hour. Then he went to bed.
I got ready, then laid in the recliner with headphones sounded binaural beats. But sleep would not come because I couldn't breathe through my nose. I tried boiling water on the stove. I turned the flame off, then used a towel to make a tent. But it didn't help. I used the breathe jar again. It has cotton balls with essential oils on them. That helped for a few breaths, then I'd have to do it again. And again. I tried rinsing my sinuses with limited success.
I tried going to bed. But then shooting pains came from my feet and ran up my calves, causing my legs to jump around. Not certain what the cause was, I drank water. Then I had salt, trace minerals, magnesium. I also put on some vitamin patches. But the pains wouldn't let up. I could not rest quietly. Maybe they are another form of RLS?
In case location had anything to do with it, I went back to the recliner and headphones. Light was already seeping in the windows. I covered my face to shut out the light and tried to go to sleep. Later I went back to bed. Chris told me the next day that he heard me snoring, so I guess I got some sleep.
