New resident!

Thursday

I got up at 8, not having slept well. I puttered in the kitchen and looked up shooting pains in my feet. I went out to deal with gopher mounds and water the potted plants. Thankfully the sprinklers did come on last night.

I made egg salad with guacamole. I read e-mail. I made and ate fiber gel. I hardboiled two batches of eggs. I made and ate breakfast and watched The Highwire. During that, Chris came home with a package. He said he'd be home late tonight. I looked for an organic flax nightgown online. They are really expensive.

Then the internet went down. So I put on my suit and laid out in the sun. Clouds kept covering it so I stayed out longer than usual. I got dressed and went to ACS to get a pack of crayons and a black canvas. Then to the library to return a book and check out another one. I stayed to talk to Melissa.

When I got home, I listened to a tapping podcast. I put supper in the toaster oven. John and Michele stopped by to pick up all the glass recycling. After they left, I ate supper. Jenni came by for walking. I walked with her and Joan back to Jenni's house. I walked with Joan to the next intersection. Then Bret pulled up and told us his wife had a baby. He showed us pics on his phone. After some chatting, Joan left and he chatted with me. When he left, I headed home.

It was getting dark and I wondered what Chris would think when he got home and I wasn't there. As I got to our street, I saw Gary talking to MeryAnn. So I walked over and told them the good news. I also told him I could clean his carpet tomorrow.

After awhile, I walked up the hill to home. When I walked in, Chris was surprised. He figured I was in the back sleeping. I told him the good news too. Then I made tea and we watched an episode of Criminal Minds. Afterward, he read a chapter of the devotional book and we tried to guess the answers to the questions at its end. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up to blog.

Then I got ready for bed. I started out in the recliner with headphones. When I woke up after a sleep cycle, I went to bed and slept for the rest of the night.
