I set my alarm for 7 and got up when it rang. I brushed and swished and sewed a strip or two, finishing the block. I took a shower and got dressed. I ate a fat bomb. I chose 8 sheets of paper to bring to class. I pulled some coordinating fabric from my stash in case Beverly needed binding to go with the sewing print. I checked e-mail. I tweaked the instructions for the iron caddy, but there wasn't time to transfer it to the other computer and wake up the printer and such. I grabbed some extra fabric strips to use as props for the demo. Then I gave the plants a quick bit of water and headed out.
I arrived before 9 but not by much. Only a few people were there. Anita and I moved a table over by the outlets. We put in some extension cords. Laurie called. I told her we were in the back of the church. I went outside and waited for her. Then I helped her bring her cart of sewing supplies in.
I gave a short demonstration of the process for making the iron caddy. Everyone already had the instruction sheet so some were ready to sew and others to cut and some to iron. Lorraine copied my pattern. She cut her fabric and decided to make two, one for her mom. So when she bought Insul-Bright from me, I had to sell her the whole thing. Not that I was planning on making one, but I wanted to have some on hand for future use.
I walked around, observing ladies sewing and answering questions. Somehow I missed that Linda was sewing her binding corners incorrectly. Susan helped her out. Finally I had to sit down. I kept yawning. Susan said everyone should bring their caddy back next week for a pic. No one finished in class but probably will next week.
It was 12:30 or later when Beverly and I left. We went to the Asian store for kimbap. But low and behold....there was none. They just didn't have it today. No reason given. No easy lunch for me and no simple supper for Beverly and her family.
So I went home for breakfast. I made it as quickly as I could, so I would have time to eat and get to church by 2. But getting to church took longer than I thought. The right turn I wanted to take was blocked so I had to go all the way down Drake to the parkway.
But, no big deal. I went into the church office and got started arranging the envelops in order. The pastor came by the office for a bit, then left for the afternoon. I got the checks and cash counted and filled out the deposit tickets. Then I fired up the new computer. I entered the data for this week. But I could not find the all of the online statements. So I called Tim. He pointed me in the right direction. But by then it was 4:30. I paused the operation to run to the bank and made the deposit by 5.
I went back to the church to finish entering data and print the reports. Again, I had to stop in the middle to run to the farmer's market before it closed at 6. I picked up my three pairs of scissors and paid for them. The grass-fed meat lady was there. I meant to buy a beef heart from her, but since I wasn't going straight home, I didn't.
I went back to the church. It started to rain. I found the statements I needed and put together the report it should have been. I printed out all the various reports and their copies. I stapled them in sets for this week and last week. And finally I got to go home.
It was after 7 when I arrived. My hands and wrists were tired from all the data entry. I checked the house mail and rolled the trash can out to the curb. I picked the last tomato and ate it with salt and pepper. I checked e-mail. I started making a salad and Chris texted me over skype. I ate while we talked. He didn't have much to say. So he hung up and I read e-mail. No summits this week, so I binged-watched Frazier while rubbing my scalp with pieces of onion. When I was done, I threw the pieces in a ziplock bag to keep the gnats out. I don't know what they are eating now. I often find them on the bathroom mirror. Maybe they think it is water?
I swished while typing up my blog post. Then I took my evening supplements and went to bed.
* You'd think I'd take pics of people making the class project, but all I have is one of Beverly W. and her quilt. *

Preparing for class
I got up at 7:45. I had awoken earlier and was doing the visualizations to improve my teeth. But sleep had completely left me. Consciously I did not hear the alarm, but maybe subconsciously I did.
I did three forward head rolls. I brushed and swished and sewed a strip. I turned on the router, then sorted through some papers. I unpacked the two Amazon boxes. One had the new computer battery and I hoped it hadn't been damaged by the heat yesterday.
I took the celery from the fridge. It was limp so I put one bunch in water while I separated and washed the other bunch. Then I put the second bunch in water while I washed the first bunch. Sadly, the water was not cold. I guess it is just too warm outside. The second bunch was still limp after I juiced and drank the first bunch, so I let them sit awhile longer so I could read e-mail.
After 10 minutes or so, I juiced the second bunch, drank it, and washed the juicer parts. I noticed gnats or fruit flies in the garbage. The bag wasn't full so I didn't want to take it out. I covered it with a stiff bag, but either it did not keep them out, or some had not flown out. I sprinkled a few drops of tea tree oil in and put the bag over it again.
I made and ate breakfast. I listened to Oprah's meditation for day 15.
I watered the plants out front, then got in the car and went to quilting. A couple ladies left as I arrived. Bertha said they saved me a piece of cake. Ha ha. I showed them the iron caddy and told them I was teaching a class tomorrow morning at the church on Jordan. There was some interest and a few ladies wrote down the address. I handed them the supply list.
Then I set up my sewing machine and got to work on the blue project. Eileen brought several dozen eggs to sell from her family farm. All I had was a $5 so she gave me two dozen. She sold a dozen to someone else and she left to buy supplies for tomorrow. Laurie had to work early and Bertha had dogs to babysit and soon I was alone. It was good to spread out the blue blocks and see what needed to go where. I added touches of the brighter blues here and there. Carolyn came back and told me about her visit to her son. She bought one of the cartons of eggs from me. We worked rather quietly together. Then she had to go. But after she left, Rebecca came back and we had a nice chat. I didn't get much done. At 4pm I packed up to go. She put up the irons and cutting mats. Then we left together.
On my way home, I stopped by the post office to check the mail. Nada. Then I went home. I left my machine in the car, but brought the blue project in. I checked the house mail – same nada. Not even junk mail. What is this world coming to?
I had a bite to eat. I checked e-mail. The church treasurer had a question about the reports not reflecting the deposits. I checked the sheet I had but it did not explain the discrepancy. I placed a Swansons order. I collated the recyclables. I took the garbage out because of the gnats. Apparently the tea tree oil wasn't strong enough. I filled a small trash can with grocery bags so I could immediately bag wet stuff and take it out. Beverly called. We chatted for a bit. The sun was setting, so I went for a walk. It was the 45 minute path, but I got back just ahead of the bugs. I also picked some ripe pokeberries along the way.
When I got back, I sprayed bug spray in the pumpkin patch because of the white flies. I picked the pepper that was turning red. I started making a salad and Chris skyped me. I ate while we talked, which wasn't long. Poor guy doesn't have indoor plumbing in the housing they assigned him. I collected a few things for class tomorrow. I watched episodes of Frazier while rubbing onion on my head. I took my evening supplements. I set my phone alarm. I swished with tooth powder and xylitol. I wrote my blog post for the day. I gathered a few more things for class, like handle strips and batting. I put my phone on the windowsill so I would be able to hear it in the morning. I put ozone cream on my gums and went to bed.

Another day, another project
I got up at 8:40. I was waiting to hear the alarm go off, but I never heard it. I had put my phone on the end of the ironing board so it would be close to the bedroom but not in it. I guess the AC was blowing at the time and drowned it out.
I brushed and swished. I sewed a strip, and turned on the router. I took a shower and got dressed. I checked e-mail for a short time. Then I packed some seed crackers in a bag and headed out. On the way to the car, I gave the potted plants some quick water.
I drove to church taking the parkway which was pretty fast now that it goes all the way through. How far it goes I don't know. Anyway when I got to church, I opened the trunk to get a pair of scissors to cut off a thread from the hem of my dress. Then I went to the building. Susan K was there greeting people. After saying hello, I ran into Jim the treasurer. He wanted to know what happened to a certain check. I asked if he could wait until after the service. I went to the restroom, then got a bulletin and sat by Don. I jotted notes on the back of my bulletin of things I needed to do after the service. Jennifer stopped by to give me a small baggie with some berries and figs from her tree.
The sermon was about manna, which literally means 'what is it?' The pastor seemed to think it was a bad thing that the Israelites asked that question when they saw it.
After the service I went to my car to get the banner and the skirt. I gave Jennifer the skirt and the banner went to Susan S. I also gave Jennifer the money I owed her. Then I went to the office to track down the check. Tim found it in the back of the safe. He said ServantKeeper was back online and so I should be able to enter the donations from last week. Jeanne showed me her version of the Jesus fish in hardanger, but it was small. She is planning to make a bigger one.
I went to the corner church where Renegades was making quilts for Linus. The tables were full, but Lynette made space for me at her table. She showed me the block she had chosen for this month. I picked out some fabric to make the initial half square triangles. I saw the mother-daughter team working on it.
Then we broke for lunch. There was a lot of watermelon so I had a bunch of that. I also had a barbecued chicken leg because it smelled so good. I drank my can of coconut water and gave the tab to Norm who is collecting them or knows someone who is.
I cut 6 10inch squares from dark blue fabric and also from white fabric. I drew a big x on all the white ones, then backed them with the dark squares. I sewed on each side of each line and cut the squares in quarters. I pressed them closed, then opened each side. When they were all pressed, I cut them apart and trimmed each one to 4.5 inches. It took all afternoon because of talking to Lynette. In contrast, the mother-daughter team held up their completed quilt tops and went home. All I can figure is that they did not do the trimming before sewing on the 2.5 inch strips. I grabbed a bunch before they got packed up. Then I helped Lynette and Susan put up the remaining tables and chairs. Susan ran the vacuum and I took out the trash.
It was 5pm when I got home. I threw the Renegades trash bag into my trash can. There were two Amazon packages on my front porch. I hoped there was nothing perishable in them because my car said it was 96 outside.
I made and ate breakfast. Chris called as I started eating. We skyped for a bit. After the call, I looked for some info for the treasurer. Then I put on my shoes and went for a walk. I walked by the tree with the berries. Indeed, it was a vine growing on the tree, so it could be porcelain vine. I tasted a berry and it was awful. Blech! Further on, I found some poke berries. I picked a handful and took them home. I wondered if they would make good fabric dye.
When I got back, I made and ate a salad while reading e-mail and listening to meditations. I replayed the music part of Oprah's meditation while tapping. Then I watched two episodes of Frasier. I stopped to write my blog but got caught up in a game of Solitaire that just would not resolve. I interrupted the compulsion to swish with green tooth powder while writing my blog post.

A juicy day
I heard Chris take his shower this morning. I went back to sleep and when I got up, he was long gone. I brushed and swished. There was a message on my phone saying he had gotten to Atlanta at 6am. I sewed two strips to the block. I trimmed the sides of the bee panel that Beverly gave me. I rearranged the stack of batiks. I turned on the router so I could look up pics of the strip placemats that my mother-in-law has. But I guess I only took one and it was an unusual one.
I had read about the gut benefits of drinking 16 oz of celery juice a day. I had some stalks of celery that I bought at Costco. I juiced the first bunch and it made one cup of juice, so I juiced the second one and it made 2 cups. So I ended up drinking three cups of celery juice.
As I cleaned the juicer, I listened to an interview on nutrients and autism. When I heard about topical vitamins at PatchMD, I went to the site. I chose the vitamin C and a multivitamin. The patches dispense the vitamins over an 8 hour period which sounds perfect for vitamin C.
I made and ate breakfast. I also ate 10 cloves of pickled garlic and took my supplements. I chose a project to take to the sewing group. I put my stitching gear in the trunk Then I watered the flowers and went to quilting at the local library.
Even though I arrived about 12:30, they hadn't had lunch yet. I set up my machine and asked if there were any charity projects to do. Trina gave me a kit of minki squares. So I threw that together. She was gone by the time I finished however. Then I worked on my blue blocks, taking some apart and adding fabrics with more sparkle.
About 4pm I packed up. I stopped at Publix on the way home. I could not find my grocery list. So I shopped from memory and thought I did pretty well. I was confused when a man standing by the bananas said he was colorblind and couldn't tell which ones had green on them. He wanted them not green, so I pointed to some with brown spots. I thought being colorblind meant not distinguishing blue from green. There were no blue bananas.
Anyway, I paid for my meager selection of groceries. A man carried them to the car for me. I took them home. When I got there, I checked the mail, and watered the plants again. My grocery list was lying on the sidewalk. I left my sewing machine in the car for tomorrow.
I put my groceries away and realized I had forgotten the goat milk. I checked my e-mail and ate nuts. I watered the tomato plants outside and mowed the lawn. I made a lot of salad and ate it while playing Solitaire. Then my tapping buddy came online. We mostly talked for an hour and a half. I asked her what kind of tree has pink berries and sent her pics. She said it looked familiar.
I watched several episodes of Frasier and rubbed pieces of onion on my head. I opened a coconut, consuming the water and the meat. When Frazier was over, I checked e-mail one last time. I typed up my blog and prepared to go to bed.
* This is the onion that is slowly being sacrificed on my head. *

Getting ready for his trip
I got up before 7:30, thinking it was later. I brushed and swished and sewed a strip. Then I took it out because the edges were not lined up. After the re-sewing the strip, I cut a bunch of blue strips, sewed them end to end, ironed them and wound them around pieces of cardboard.
I turned on the router to look up the recipe for remineralizing toothpaste, which had nearly run out. But I got sidetracked reading e-mail. I put on some clothes in case the lady next door came over for coconut milk. Then I made a batch of toothpaste. She rang the doorbell and I came out with a jar of fermented milk for her. We talked for a while and then she had to go.
I made and ate breakfast. I gave the plants out front a quick drink. Then I went to my massage. The new traffic pattern wasn't any quicker than the old one for getting there. Then I had to wait because she was late. By the time I got out, it was 1 pm. But I felt great.
I stopped at an Asian store to buy two coconuts. I put them in my trunk. Then I headed for the theater. Just before I got there, I passed a yard sale, so I turned around to see it. I picked up a red fleece blanket. She only charged me 25 cents for it.
Then I went to the cinema. Leanne wasn't there yet so I went inside and used the bathroom. When I came out, she was waiting. We got in line to buy tickets to Christopher Robin. When we sat down, they were playing all commercials. Then came the previews. About 25 minutes of them. Then we watched the movie. It was good but not great. When we got out, it was 4:30!
I drove home. Chris was not there which was unusual. I checked the mail and there was none. I checked e-mail. William called. He talked about Goodwill. When he hung up, I made supper – lamb and salad. Then I read about remineralizing substances for teeth. I added one to my Swansons cart. I watered the tomato plants. Then I put my laptop to sleep so I could move it to the guest room for my weekly skype call. I read e-mail and did a meditation while waiting for my tapping buddy to come online.
I pulled out all my blue and green batiks and lined them up for a preview. I noticed a plastic bag with squares in it that were for a project for the guild. I sewed them together in the proper order. When I went to iron it, I was surprised that the iron was already on. I made sure to turn it off when I was done. I moved my laptop back to the dining room. I started folding laundry. Then my tapping buddy texted me over Skype. We worked out a new time for tomorrow. I ate some frozen strawberries and blue berries while Chris finished an e-mail.
He finished his packing and rolled his suitcase to the door. I rubbed my scalp with pieces of onion while we watched one episode of Continuum. He got his papers ready for tomorrow. I took my evening supplements. Then I posted to my blog so we could retire for the evening.

Spinning a 'yarn'
I got up at 8:30 after doing some healing visualization for my teeth. I swished and sewed. I drank water and swished some more. I crocheted most of my ball of fleece 'yarn' to see how far it would go. I checked e-mail and listened to an interview. I made and ate breakfast.
Then I grabbed my bag of fleece strips and went to quilting. It was potluck day. I wasn't hungry, nor did I bring anything to share. I did throw a couple dollars in the basket. I set up my machine. I crocheted up the rest of the ball, then sewed more strips together to make more 'yarn'. Christie gave me a piece of blue and yellow checked material that matched what I had in my blue blocks. She also showed me some knit material in the back room which she was hoping I could use up. But it wasn't fleece.
We packed up at 2. Leanne invited me to the movies tomorrow and I agreed. After I put my stuff in the car, I went looking for plantain around the building and found some. I picked a few leaves, and then went home.
At home, I rolled my sewing stuff inside. I checked the mail. I had to tinker with the lock on the mailbox to get it to hold. I laid out the plaintain leaves to dry. I clipped grass in the back yard. I read e-mail.
Chris came home from work. After catching up with him, I got out a piece of blue fabric to iron. I cut some more red fleece strips for the rug. I put ground lamb in a bowl with kimchi and red peppers. Then I made and ate a salad while watching a video on the cross ratio – a concept never mentioned in my math training.
I cut strips from red fleece and blue cotton while waiting for Chris. When he was ready, he turned off the AC so we could hear the TV. I made a cup of solomon seal tea and we watched two episodes of Continuum. After the first one, I cut a slice from a purple onion and scored it. I rubbed it on my scalp during the second episode. Afterward, I brushed and swished while typing up my blog. Once I take my evening supplements, I will be ready for bed.

Having a ball
I stayed up late listing to an interview on spontaneous remission and the commonalities among people who experience it: people followed their intuition to change their diet, try other treatments, release pent up emotion, deepen spiritual connection, give up resentment over the changes they had to make, find a purpose in life, and take control of their health. Instead of feeling helpless, they made a decision to take action and that feeling of power improved their immune system.
Then I took my chillow and went to bed.
I got up just after 7:30. Then came the usual brushing and swishing and sewing. I turned on the router. I checked e-mail while doing a second swish. I put coffee on the stove. I took niacin, then drybrushed and did my exercises. I played the Day 10 meditation from Oprah and Deepak. Then I put on some meditation music.
While I was cleaning the bathroom, my neighbor texted me that she wanted to come over in a few minutes. I texted her back, then got dressed. When I saw her come up the walk, I brought out her onion and I gave her the basil plant that she gave me before she left. She said she tried the goat milk kefir and it was a little strong. So I gave her a glass of the coconut milk kefir and she liked it better. Her husband came over to chat. He told me that he is on 10 days of doxycycline for Lyme. Wow!
I watered the plants out front and in the back. I finished cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. I added more coconut milk to the jar to make some for Julia. I started reading e-mail and lost track of the time. At 2pm I called the Korean doctor to ask if it was a good time to come. When I got there, he said he could not find the letter I wrote. So I located it on her computer and transferred it to his external drive. Then she put me on a treatment table and rubbed the right side of my skull with a layer of onion. She said the ear itself was all better. She put 4 needles on the skull around my ear and left me to lie there for half an hour. Afterward, I was free to go, but she said I should come on Wednesdays instead of Tuesdays, and she called my attention to where the AC system was leaking again (probably condensation).
I went home and checked the mail. We had a DVD from Netflix. I went back to reading an article. I started an audio. I got a check ready to go in the mail. Chris came home from work. He had nothing new to tell me. The audio was going long, so I threaded a needle with green thread and appliqued the leaves to the banner. It was difficult because even with glasses, I could not see the point of the needle. I did the best I could, but my leaf points were hairy. Hopefully, hung in front of the church, no one will notice.
I went for a walk hoping to find poke berries. I found a few plants, but the ripe berries were all gone. I guess the birds got 'em.
I jotted some notes for my blog. I searched for trees with pink berries and similar terms but nothing had the same leaves that I saw.
I drank a pouch of onion juice. I made a cup of tea and set it in the living room. Then I sat at my sewing machine and joined the ends of fleece strips until Chris was ready to watch TV.
We watched Jumanji. I had never seen it before. It came across kind of as a kids movie, but yet it held my attention pretty well. We looked up some of the actors afterward. I cut the strips apart and rolled the long strip into a ball. Then I posted to my blog and got ready for bed.
