A great day!
I laid awake last night trying to think of all the people I used to know in Pinehurst that I might be able to contact to find someone to mow the lawn. It occurred to me to call the church secretary because she would know if someone in the congregation did that. I woke up early because the circulation in my right hand was cut off. But I was not able to go back to sleep after restoring it. I got up when the alarm went off. The bad smell was not detectable, but I could smell the magnolia blossoms because the window was open. I laid in the guest room for awhile because it was sunny. Then I got dressed and put the check in the mail. I took my sprouting sweet potato outside. It had used up all its energy and was now attracting fruit flies. The next potato had roots but no sprouts as yet. As I swished, I listened to another interview and sliced up a foil wrapper. I went out to water the plants. I exercised, and juiced. I sat to digest, listening to another interview. Then I made breakfast. I called Frank and he answered. I had to explain who I was. Once he remembered me, he wanted the yard job and said he would start Monday. I was so relieved! I called Parker and left a message. Then I e-mailed her his contact information. I ate some strawberries, and brought in the mail. I read the card from Chris. I took the laptop outside so I could lay in the sun while I finished another interview. Then I read Chris' e-mail and responded. I went outside to mow in the front yard. Then I used the leaf blower to move the all the leaves to the area under the magnolia tree and then I mowed them, too. Since I had the blower out, I cleaned the porch and patio. I used the small debris as mulch around the tulip tree and watered it. I replanted the pepper into one of the cinderblocks using dirt from the compost pile. I did some clipping to control the flowerbeds. I came in to check my phone for messages and my e-mail. I listened to more audios. (There is a never-ending string of audios.) I picked a bunch of garlic, chopped it up and sauteed it in butter. I added ground beef. As I cooked it, I thought about who I wanted in my tribe (for survival purposes if the emp hits) and what skills I could contribute. I decided that fermentation was a survival skill. I skyped with Chris and Michele. It was great to see and talk to her. She looked good and sounded upbeat. She is learning a lot at her part time job, and is signed up for the state dept exam next month. After she hung up, Chris sang me a Lionel Richie song. Then I put the laundry in the washer. I worked on an order of supplements. When the washer finished, I put the clothes in the dryer and ran the dishwasher. I finished the Swanson's order, cleared another e-mail, and blogged. I put clean sheets on the bed and turned in for the night.

All kinds of scents
pfI got up just before 8. The alarm sounded while I was in the hall bathroom. The smell in the bedroom was strong enough last night that I had to open the window. This morning I brought in the air purifier to see if that would help. I also flushed the toilet in the master (which had not been used) in case the standing water was starting to smell. I looked for a can or package of food to donate to the mail carrier's food drive. I could not find anything that I wasn't going to use. I started to swish and the phone rang. It was Parker. We talked about the yard and Mr. John and how people were so busy they weren't looking at houses this week. Our call got cut off. I called her back in a few minutes and she was on her way to meet a yard guy that her postman had recommended. I got dressed and went outside to water the plants. I used the water in the buckets and filled them up to sit overnight for tomorrow. I tied the tomato plant by the brick wall to the leg of the patio table. I swept the leaf debris from the driveway. I put on an old work glove and pulled up a weed that might have been poison ivy. When I came in, the smell from the bedroom was evident in the hall way. I moved the air purifier closer to the door. I jotted notes for my blog and brushed my teeth. I exercised and juiced. I wrote a check to Parker but the mail had already gone. I played three audio interviews. One of them recommended bringing broccoli sprouts on plane trips for energy and detoxing. It was so convincing that I paused the audio to put broccoli seeds in my sprouter. Denise came over to work on a charity quilt. First she told me about their trip to Biltmore and to Polyface Farms. Then she sniffed the odor in the bedroom. She said it wasn't a dead smell, it was more like a spilled sauerdraut smell. we worked on the quilt; choosing borders and sewing them on. She also wanted to know how to machine quilt, so I brought out a top that was basted. I showed her how to quilt in the ditch and to free-motion. I let her try both methods and she seemed to like them. I could not find my quilting gloves which would have made it easier to move the fabric. After she left, I watered things that dry out quickly. One of the marigolds had been dug up. This happens almost every day and I think the chipmunk is doing it. I picked wild lettuce, kale, a tomato, oxalis, and some small mixed greens. I washed them and added olive oil and sunflower seeds, as well as sweet peppers and celery. I sat in front of my laptop to eat it and saw that Chris was on skype. We talked and then he sang. Then he went to bed. I did the weekend Sudoku puzzle while finishing an audio. I got a wrench to chang the shower filter. I ironed the last two pieces of fabric while I was down there. I changed the filter and filled a basin with warm water. I soaked my feet in the soapy water. Then I sat in the den and listened to another audio interview, smelling the magnolia flower scent coming in the window. It was lovely. I sliced up a foil wrapper to sharpen two pairs of scissors while finishing an audio on how to fly for free. All I heard was to use points. I looked up Frank's phone number. And then it was time to blog and go to bed.

Rebecca was here
I slept in until the alarm sounded. I got up to turned on the laptop and router. I watered the plants on the back porch. I put Netflix in the mail, and collected the recyclables but there were not enough to put out. My tapping buddy wanted to start early. We did not actually do any tapping: we made energy circles with switchwords and Bach flower remedies. Then I juiced, drank it and cleaned up. I was about to meditate when there was a knock at the door. It was Rebecca and I had forgotten that she was coming. She was potentially going to offer my treadle a home if we went to Korea. But she sniffed the treadle, and said it had an odor. I showed her some of my sewing projects while we were down in the basement. Since her nose was so sensitive, I asked her to check out my bedroom. She confirmed my premise that something had died in the wall and she narrowed it down to which wall. Then she left to get on with her day. I brought in the mail and there was no card from Chris. I took his car to stitch group. I talked to Marjory and Pat, then sat with Rhonda and Christie. I came home just before 4. I had stalled pulling on to a busy road which scared me. I checked e-mail, and made breakfast and ate it outside. I watched a chipmunk race back and forth across the patio. I came in to check e-mail again, hoping for some word from the guy who used to cut our grass in Pinehurst. I had e-mailed him after Parker said I needed to hire someone mow the grass so she can have an open house. The sun was still out, so I replanted cucumbers from the planting tray. I chopped up lemon peel and put it in a hole something dug in my garden. It looked like an access to a den. Probably rabbits. I trimmed large plants to allow smaller ones sunlight and I trimmed the trumpet vine by the mailbox. I propped up planting trays so the rodents wouldn't dig in them. I watered, and mowed. I raked up magnolia leave and mowed those to turn them into mulch. I picked kale and other leaves for supper. I made salad with them and some of the spinach from the farmer's market. I ate it while skyping Chris. He sang me a song called “Almost Paradise”. I contributed to crowdfunding a solarpuff. I did the Thursday Sudoku puzzle while listening to an interview about medical tourism, and then worked on Friday's puzzle. I put on another interview and took the laptop downstairs to listen while I ironed the fabric pile from Tuesday. When the low battery sound caught my attention, I brought it up to recharge. I finished the piece of fabric I was working on, and then came up to finish the interview and the Friday puzzle. Then it was time to blog and go to bed.

Auditions
I woke up early this morning. I got up to audition fabric for the squares from yesterday. It was hard to audition them like the pattern. I decided I did not like the pattern and would have to do what fit the squares best. When the phone alarm went off, I came up to start my Wednesday practices. I watered the plants in pots early. I swished, exercised, rebounded, and drybrushed. I made hot water and coffee. I juiced. I put on my suit and filled my water bottles with warm salt water. I got to the sauna just after 1. I spent over an hour sweating. Four other ladies came for a short period of time each. Three were black and one was Asian. The thought struck me that I seldom see another Caucasian woman in the sauna. I took a shower and dressed. I was home soon after 3. I went to the mailbox, but all I found was a Publix grocery sack. I guess it was supposed to be a reminder to fill a bag for the homeless. I called Silvia but she did not answer. I watered plants in the ground. I checked e-mail. I dug up the volunteer marigolds and replanted them by the driveway. I looked up the planting order for my raised vegetable bed. I identified squash and cucumbers as needing to be replanted into the ground. But where? I made up a shaker of mixed spices for my breakfast. I made and ate breakfast. I took my supplements. I listened to another travel interview. I started an episode of X-Files. Chris skyped me and sang me a song. The niacin kicked in and turned me beet red. I had to run off to choir practice. The ladies had to come early to sing a mother's day song with the kids. Then I sat with Doris. Cecelia gave me her strawberry bucket to return to the farmer's market. Practice went well. After, I talked to JenQ. She said her husband had been stationed at a navel base in Korea a long time ago but she did not know where. I drove home. I finished the episode of X-Files and watched another one, thinking Chris would call back when he got back from bible study. After the last episode, I looked up songs on Youtube and sang with them. Somehow I ended up singing with Helen Reddy in Pete's Dragon. I quit soon after 11. I wrote my blog post and sent Chris a message on skype. He called me before I could title the post. He told me he had texted me on skype but for some reason the message was not delivered. I titled my blog, posted it and went to bed.

First day of farmer's market
I woke up early and decided to get up. I turned on the router and the laptop. I swallowed 6 capsules of frozen cod liver oil. I swished while reading e-mail and listening to more travel audios. I started juicing around 9. Right after the first sip, I realized that I forgot to exercise. So that is why I was ahead of schedule. I sat to meditate after drinking and the time got away from me. Then I wrote a check and a card and put them in the mail. It was 10:20 and I was late. I took my squares from yesterday to show off. When I got to the quilt group, Jane was impressed to see them. Others said nice things, too. Jane wanted me to sign up for their field trip on June 9th to go to a quilt shop in Mississippi. Beverly wants me to go shop-hopping with her on the 13th. So many quilt shops, but so little time. She also told me her husband tastes car fluids to determine what is leaking. That sounded like a really bad idea to me. From there, I went to the Asian store for kimbap and sprouts. I also bought some kimchi since what I have is growing white spots. I ate the kimbap when I got home. I ate some apples and put the cores in a dish covered with plastic wrap to catch fruit flies. I think they must have come in with the strawberries. I finished an audio and went outside to get the mail and to water plants. Then I put on my suit to sit in the sun and read the Servantkeeper manual. It seemed simple enough. After an hour, I changed back into my clothes, and drank some water. Then it was time to go to the farmer's market. I got some hydroponic spinach, and stopped by the beef booth. He remembered me but did not have what I wanted; said his wife would bring it next week. I also got some raspberry goat cheese, rainbow tomatoes, large cucumber and a bucket of strawberries. I put the berries in a bowl of vinegar water to soak. But I could not resist washing and eating some right away. I hulled some and spread them on a towel on a cookie sheet to freeze. The rest I put back into the berry bucket, eating the oldest ones. The bucket went in the fridge. I made notes for my blog. I came across a webpage of 61 uses for lemons, peels and juice. So I got on the desktop to save it as a file and print it out. I responded to an e-mail from a friend. Then I took my fabric into the basement to wash. I pulled out fabric to audition as sashing for the blocks, I found one that looked great, but did not fit their drawing. I copied the drawing on a piece of paper to take downstairs. Chris skyped me and we brought Faye into the call to see about her schedule for Memorial Day weekend. I dashed downstairs to pull the wet fabric out of the washer before it bled. I threw it in the dryer and came up. I grabbed a jar of fish to eat while talking. Faye and Kevin hung up so Chris could sing me a song. The call dropped and his computer crashed. I started making breakfast. He called back and we talked some more. He asked for a song suggestion for tomorrow and I suggested something by Huey Lewis and the News. He hung up and I finished my breakfast (for supper). I put the now-frozen berries in a bag. I listened to a tapping audio. It went on much longer than I anticipated. When it was over, I tried to finish the Sudoku puzzle I had been working on while it ran. But I had made a mistake somewhere, and had to start over. Then it was bedtime. But I went down to get the fabric out of the dryer. I wanted it damp but it wasn't. So I folded all of it in anticipation of ironing it tomorrow. There was one piece that did not go in the dryer and I allowed myself to iron it dry. Then I came up to blog and go to bed.

This may be as far as I get
I woke up early, but did not get up until the alarm rang. I turned on the router and the laptop. I had tried to reboot it last night because of updates, but Firefox would not cooperate. But I lost all my IE windows. I tried to get them back to no avail. Firefox locked up and I had to close and reopen it, glad that it preserved the open windows. I put on an interview about healthy travel tips and took notes. I also swished and exercised. I watered the indoor plants. I finished the interview, then reboot the computer while I juiced and made breakfast. I put on another one about parasites during travel and how you can get them at home, too. That one ended about noon, so then I put the pieces of my project into a bag and headed to the car. I realized that the sun was beating down on the planters so I took a moment to water them. Then I jumped in Chris' car and headed to quilting. I took all my sewing stuff inside just in case I decided to sew. But I spent the time cutting little tiny pieces. I got to talk to my friends, which was great. Rebecca and Joan and Lauri decided to go to Sew-nVac. I did not need fabric, but Rebecca urged me to go. I told her I would hold her responsible for my credit card bill, and she said that just because she led me to the trough did not mean I had to drink. Yea, right. Me not buy fabric? When we arrived, there was a good sized display out front proclaiming 60% off. So, you can guess what happened. I hemmed and hawed and piled up the bolts and went inside. Joan got hers cut first and then the lady cut mine. I paid at the register. Rebecca showed me her fabric choices for a dress she will make for her granddaughter. I told her to get the raspberry butterflies to go with it. On the way out, Rebecca said I should have gotten the coordinating fabric for my black and grey. I said I would if she got the butterflies. So she did and I did and Lauri went back for something too. When we got back most of the ladies were gone. I went back to cutting. When I got most of the pieces cut out, and only a few teeny tiny ones were left, I decided that my sanity was worth more than any benefit. So I auditioned fabric for a background since I did not have the chosen one there. The pieces looked really good on the yellow/orange fabric. Lauri helped me audition some fabric for sashing, but nothing quite satisfied us. So I ironed them to the gold, and packed up. Lauri stayed to work on her quilt top. When I got home, I ate some sweet potato and the rest of Denise' fermented cabbage. Then I went out to water. I sat to enjoy the sounds of nature and digest. Then I mowed spots in the front and back yards. I quit when I realized it was 7 and time to talk to Chris. We had a nice chat and he sang me a song called Valerie. We ended early so I had time to go out and dig up some garlic. I washed it off and sliced it up, bulb and stem. I put the pieces in a pan with coconut oil to cook while I cut up the fish. I had intended to eat the fish raw, but after the interview on parasites, I changed my mind. So the fish was stirfried with the garlic. I added salt and lemon juice. I ate some and put the rest in the fridge. I read e-mail and listened to another interview on healthy travel, taking notes. Then I sat and read a book and tapped until it was time to go to bed.

Busy day
I had a dream where I was walking down a road mostly covered in water. I saw a storm coming, so I crouched at the bottom of a tree trunk and threw my arms around it. When the storm was over, I picked my way back, climbing over debris. There were people looking for drinking water. I was looking for Chris. I saw him go into an auditorium. I could not find him then so I sat alone. It seemed to be raining inside, and I tried to protect a nearby laptop. Everybody left then and I still couldn't find Chris. Then the alarm rang. I got up. I had put the dryer on damp last night, so now put it on regular. I turned on the router and laptop. I made up a weeks worth of supplements. I started unstacking dishwasher when I heard the dryer. I got the laundry out and folded it. I exercised, and swished. I made breakfast and ate it while checking e-mail and listening to audios from Healthy travel summit.
I read that sauna use is associated with longevity due to its effect omn HSP and Foxo3. I realized with a shock that I only had 15 minutes to shower, dress and leave. I put the rest of breakfast in the fridge to protect it from the desperate fruit flies. I made it to church by 10:15 and then realized I did not need to be there until 10:20. I talked to Art and Don then went into the sanctuary to practice with the choir. JenQ played her native flute and it went very nicely. Then I sat in the pew to wait for the service. I told Don that Chris was coming back in two weeks. I had to admit that he was coming back to pack and Don seemed very upset that we might be moving. I wished I hadn't said anything. Then the service started. I had my offering envelop ready when the plate came, and wondered why I had worried about that since I could always bring it later to the count. After the service I complimented the lady behind me for her voice. She told me her husband preaches at another church – at least that is what I think she said. Anyway, I realized that Art was counting without me, so I rushed in there. He was having a discussion with someone about people writing checks to Heifer and giving them to the church. There was no loose cash to count, so I signed the slip of paper to that effect, and left. I talked to Megan. She said her baby would have an operation this summer. I can't imagine what the CAT scan showed. Then I left to go to the grocery store. I had my list with me and rounded up the items quickly. The organic lemons were the same ones they had last week, just softer. I won't buy them next week if fresh ones don't come in. I checked out and drove home. I put the groceries away and grabbed the quilt top and batting strips. I watered the potted plants on the patio as I went to Chris' car. I drove to the church on the corner for Renegades. They loved the quilt top, and asked me to make a backing for it. I picked out some brown, orange and green scraps to make the backing. But Keril said to use up homespuns, and she gave me a pile of green ones. Then Rebecca had a large piece of orange that she said I could use. It needed to be wider so I sewed on a strip of red. It was too colorful for my quilt so I went back to sewing the greens together. I had made it long enough but not wide enough when Rebecca said it would be perfect for her quilt, and she was absolutely right. So I sewed on another strip and gave it to her. Keril said I needed another strip across the top of the orange one for a leader so I did that, and used it for my quilt after all. Then we helped clean up and put the fabric back in Lynette's car. It was after 4 when I left. I went in the house to get my folder, and put the garbage can out by the street. Then took my car to church. Art was already there and set up. He had the 8am service envelopes in order. I recorded them while he made me a copy of the April 12 counting. I did much of the recording myself. I felt good that I was getting the hang of it. I wanted him to check behind me, but he almost always says no. But anyway, it tabulated perfectly the first time. And the paper roll rang out just then. So he left while I struggled to get the next roll ready for next week. Then I headed home. Something told me to stop on the way and buy salmon at the seafood shop. It did not make sense since I bought ground beef, but I did it anyway. The lady asked me what I do all day since I don't work. I told her I quilt. She asked me if I could help her shorten pants, and I said yes. But after I left, I realized she had no way of getting in touch with me. When I got home, I put the fish in the fridge. I changed my clothes and ate part of it with lemon juice. Then I went outside to water the rest of the plants and mow. I finished the front yard and came in to skype with Chris. He sang me a song that I had requested. Then he hung up. I watched an episode of X-Files where Fox finds fabric hearts from a killer and wonders if one of them belongs to his sister. That part did not make sense because he was there when she was taken and surely remembers what she was wearing, since he remembered what was on tv, their discussion, the game they were playing and where his parents were. After the episodes, I was going to clear e-mail and watch another one, but it got too late and my laptop downloaded updates and wants to reboot. I also found a package on the front porch containing a new shower filter. I was going to soak it like I have before, but the directions were different this time and it wasn't mentioned. I looked it up online and still no mention of soaking before attaching. So I decided to post to my blog and go to bed.
