The pool and sauna

Sunday

I got up around 8:30, having gone to bed around midnight. I brushed and took supplements. I looked at Myst V videos to see what I missed last night. I read e-mail. I watered all the plants. I whipped up a batch of cheese squares. I used a black garlic paste, not realizing that it would make the whole batch black. I also put in bacon and tomatoes and a little goat cheese on one side. When they came out of the oven, I sprinkled some smoked paprika on for color.

I made and ate breakfast. I got ready for church. I put some cheese squares in a container. I turned my phone off and took my trombone to the chapel.

I set up my trombone and talked to people. I added Amazing Grace to the list because we had special visitors. During the service, Jamie came and sat with me. She was very emotional the whole time. Then I got up to play three hymns with Saronna and Keli and Sophia.

After the service, the chaplain sat with Jamie. I talked to everyone else including Jenni. But after everyone left, I sat behind Jamie. I didn't want to intrude, but she had already told me what she was telling him and his wife.

After that, I handed her a cheese square and she liked it so much that I gave her the rest of the container to take home. I offered her a ride, but she preferred to walk. I went home and changed clothes.

I started an interview, then Michelle texted about going to the pool and sauna. So after a bit, I put on my suit and grabbed a towel and the big clock. I went to the pool, set up the clock, and took off my watch, etc. I got in the pool and started swimming. Michelle arrived and got in, too, although she took a slight detour to turn on the sauna. A little later her husband came. So the three of us swam in the deep end. We chatted and I exercised. I noticed the clock hand wasn't moving. Sigh. So we had to ask the lifeguard for the time.

At 5:40 we went in the sauna. (Her husband stayed in the pool). We conversed as we sweated. It got up to 180, which did not seem as hot as the milk when I pour the vinegar in to create curds. Anyway, we got and toweled off. Shannon and her friend went in. We talked a bit longer in the changing room, then left.

I went home and was going to make a salad. But Jamie responded to my text, so I texted Michelle and we both went over there. I gave Jamie her charging cord, and a supplement for anxiety. She and Michelle talked about helping a neighbor. I played with the dog: kicking the ball away even though the dog almost always caught it before it went anywhere. Michelle knew a lot about local resources.

It was almost 8 when we left. I went home and made a salad. Then I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched two episodes of WTR. Chris worked on his laptop while I cleaned up a scanned copy of a hymn for next Sunday. Then I jotted notes for today.
