Dinner on the hill

Monday

I got up around 8:15. I brushed, took supplements, and watered plants. I checked e-mail. I searched for a foot pedal, but found none below $80. I read more e-mail. I emptied the bucket traps and put in fresh water. I started reading a book on estrogen and progesterone called From PMS to Menopause. Sounds like excess estrogen is really bad for so many reasons.

I made and ate breakfast while continuing to read. I started a loaf of bread for Chris. I looked for an easier frog for the next sewing class. Around two, I packed my cleaning supplies. I took the pea sprouts to Charity. Then I went to Keli's RV to clean. It took about an hour and a half. She came back with the dogs and kept them out of my way. After I cleaned her fan, she paid me and I went home.

I read more from the e-book on estrogen and progesterone. Then I washed up and put on clean clothes. I worked on the second hymn for tomorrow. Chris took asparagus out of the oven and we wrapped the dish in an old towel. We headed for Commander's Hill.

We arrived right after the new chief of staff and before the CSM and his family. We conversed in the kitchen, then went outside where it was really nice. The colonel was grilling chicken, hotdogs and hamburgers. I figured the hamburgers were the healthiest, but then he put one of those individually wrapped cheese slices on each one.

We all came in to eat. I hung back to chat with Camille. Then we headed to the spread and got some food. I took asparagus, raw veggies, raw fruit and a hamburger. I sat at the dining room table with the women and children. The highest ranking men went outside. As we women chatted about school and such, I could see that it was getting dark and windy out.

Chris and the other guys came inside. We said our thank-yous and goodbyes and went home. It was too late for TV. Chris went to bed and I stayed up to check e-mail and write to my blog. Then I listened to a Star Trek sleep story that Kurt told me about. Did it work? Maybe, but I was awake when the story ended and it was just quiet night sounds after that.
