Monday
I got up late. I took supplements and noted I was almost out. I finished tweaking the hymns I had scanned from the hymnal and printed them out. Then I took the copy of “76 Trombones” and cut it up to separate the treble staff from the bass staff. I taped them to two other sheets to keep them in order.
But before I finished, Chris came home for an early lunch. He had stuff to tell me and asked some questions. Then I made a batch of breakfast mix for the week. I also had to make up new batches of things that go into the breakfast mix. So by the time I made breakfast, it was after 1pm.
I ate and listened to some news and heath videos. Then I forced myself to leave the computer because it was the last day of planting for the moon phase in May. I so wished I'd had made a concrete and detailed plan ahead of time. Also, I was expecting a warm sunny day, but instead it was cool with strong winds. Sigh.
I wasn't going to plant at the garden because the water is off due to leaks in the system. I assume they are being fixed but don't know when. I filled my trays with seed starting mix and overplanted them. I also planted some of my starts from WalMart. I felt frenzied and rushed.
Jamie came over to mow the lawn. So I took a break to figure out how much her portion of the house cleaning was. I made the adjustments, then went out to greet her with an envelop. We talked. She was interested in the gardening by the moon calendar. So I showed it to her. I also gave her $50 for the yardwork she did last week.
After she left, I went back to planting. I put a rooted celery heel in a pot out front. I chose another pot to fill with dirt for a tomato plant and discovered a mouse was living in it. Not any more. As it got later, I found more seed trays, filled them with dirt and planted older seeds in them. I had a quick supper of beef and salad. I covered the non-hardy plants because the temp is going into the high 30's. Then I took my trombone and music and went to the chapel for band. Saronna was there but then had to go home for her phone. Wilhelm told me not to start without them. :) I sat inside and mentally quieted myself. Then Keli arrived. So we set up and I assembled my trombone. Saronna came back with the kids.
We played through two hymns for Sunday several times. Then we worked on Beauty and the Beast, and Phantom of the Opera. When my lip gave out, we packed up and went home.
It was after 8. I worked on my blog, and made tea. When Chris was ready, we watched two episodes of Walker Texas Ranger, finishing season two and starting season 3. It was fun to sing the song, but I still can't go low enough.
Afterward, Chris got ready and went to bed. I stayed up to finish a podcast and choose a sleep video. I've been doing a Silva Method meditation and sleep video. It did put me to sleep briefly and then the relaxation went away and I couldn't get it back. I went to bed.
