Don't touch the peppers

Thursday

It was already 60F when I got up at 8. I brushed and swished. I watered plants, and read e-mail. I made a batch of seed crackers. I went to the garden to reduce the amount of water on the timer, and to pick a few things. A man came along walking his dog and we conversed.

When I got home, I made and ate breakfast while listening to The Highwire. Afterwards, I read articles. Then I noticed a shadow run across my screen. It was a woman walking on my back porch. So I went out to greet her. She and some men were checking out one of the sprinklers. We talked for awhile, then I went inside to get ready for walking.

I drove to the school to meet Diane. We walked over a mile. Arzu joined us for part of it. We were surprised by a car racing down the road. Diane was quick with her camera and got the license plate. Then Arzu said he lived on her street. Diane sent the pic to her husband at the gate. On the way home, I stopped by the library to pick up a book they ordered for me. When I got home, I read more articles. I picked a small red

pepper to dice up for some natto. I got capsacin on my fingers and next thing it was on my nose. Yikes!

Chris came home from work. I sorted through the cleaning stuff in my trunk, and took the extras to the swap shop. Tonja was there with her husband. We chatted, and I found a thing or two, then went home.

I filled out a cleaning contract and an envelop and took it to Jamie. I picked a salad from the tower garden. Pickings are slim because the lettuce has bolted. I read e-mail while eating. Then I posted the sewing class to the community Facebook page. I worked on my blog and made tea.

We watched two episodes of Pickard, courtesy of Netflix. Then we both read online before going to bed. The capsaicin, which had mostly subsided, came back with each hot flash.
