Rollercoaster power

Chris got up early today in order to be in touch with the people testing the electrical system on base. I got up around 8. After the first two rounds of supplements, we went back to bed and Chris gave me a coconut oil massage. He took a shower and then I did. The power went out, and came back on in about half an hour.

I didn't know if the chapel was going to be open or not, so I put on nice pants, which would suffice for church or staying home. I made mouthwash, but could not find all the ingredients. I put all my essential oils in the medicine cabinet in alphabetical order. But they were not all there. I checked e-mail when I could. Then we went to the chapel. I had taken some pots of homemade lip balm to pass out to the women. I gave out two. As usual there was a countdown to the beginning of the service so it would start on time for those tuning in via Facebook. Well, promptly at 11, the power went out. The chaplain led the service as usual, and in the middle of his sermon, the power came back on. I wanted to call out “let there be light”, but it might be recorded for all time. After the service, we stayed to talk.

When we got home, I made and ate breakfast. Then the power went out. I read a book until it came back on. Then I read e-mail. I called Dad, but no one answered, not even the machine. So I called Faye and she said they were on their way home from the grocery store. I hung up and went back to my laptop, and forgot to call her back. But she remembered and called me. We had a nice chat. During the chat, I whipped up a batch of seed crackers and put them in the oven. Chris got a message saying the power would go down again in 20 minutes. We were not certain if the gas oven would stay on or not. I put bean soup in the toaster oven to heat up before the power went out. I looked for essential oils online because I could not find the ones I wanted to make mouthwash. They've got to be in a box around here somewhere.

When the power went off, I went walking. I met Brian and Johnny. They'd been headed to my house, but then saw me out walking. He gave me a jar of pickled eggs that he picked up. We talked for awhile, then I went home to check on the crackers.

The crackers looked done, but were not crispy so I gave them some extra time. The soup was hot so I put some sliced cheese and seaweed on it and ate it. Also had some kimchi and nuts. I listened to a podcast on breathing. Among other things, the man said most people breathe too much and wearing a mask should help. He's not a doctor, just a research journalist.

I searched for the best price on Min-Col. I listened to tapping videos. Then I made my evening drink. Chris called up Republic of Doyle and we watched two episodes. We made the bed with fresh sheets, and I brushed my teeth. Then I looked up a few characters, and wrote my blog post for today. The power outages are over (I hope).
