Hot hot peppers

Thursday

I got up around 7:30. I got ready for the day. It was cool out, so I compared supplements online. Eventually I placed an order. I went to the garden to check irrigation and growth of plants. I ate a pea pod from Kenzie's garden. I watered her garden and pulled weeds. I checked on the grapes but they were completely gone.

I went to Housing to schedule a final inspection for Tuesday. Then I got my bible and went to the community club for Bible study but no one was there. So I went home. I replaced a filter in the Air Doctor. But the red lights would not go out, so I had to look it up. It was not in the manual, but on their site I found the answer to turn them off. I messaged Kenzie. I looked up and made liquid hand soap for the kitchen. I listened to some podcast on cancer. Someone messaged me about wanting to drop off stuff at the swap shop.

Chris came home for lunch early. I went out to water my plants. When I came in, I made breakfast and ate it while watching The Highwire. I went down to the swap shop to find what was dropped off and shove it into the room. There were tomato cages and I decided to keep those myself.

After The Highwire, I hardboiled some eggs. I put the previously picked ones in a smaller jar. When the fresh ones were done, I put them in the pickle juice. I also added some hot peppers from the tower garden: a move my hands would regret for the rest of the day. I listened to Dr. Ruby as I took apart the back of Chris' pants and let out the seam. I pinned the waistband down, then got sidetracked on something else.

I went out to mow what I had raked yesterday. The mower ran down, so I put it away and plugged the battery in. Then I raked the other side of the yard. I also pulled a lot of young tumbleweeds. I saw Chris come home. I quit and came in for supper. I had some ground beef, and watched a foraging video done by a friend's son.

I went to Michelle's house and we walked around the neighborhood. When we got back, she gave me a container of goat yogurt. When I got home, I put it on cheese cloth like the last batch of yogurt. I left it to drip.

I made tea and we messaged. Then Chris and I watched two episodes of WTR. He went to bed and I stayed up to jot notes for my blog and check Facebook.

A death in the family

Wednesday

I got up late. I tried on the shoes left by the shoe fairy. They fit and I liked them. I watered the plants. I brought in the two dozen eggs that were dropped off. I raked the twigs from the grass in anticipation of mowing. I also annoyed gophers.

Finally I proceeded with coffee morning. Afterward, I cleaned the bathroom and started on the kitchen. I washed the dishes, then got dressed and went to a signing. But when I got there, he had changed his mind and cleaned it himself. But he forgot to tell me.

I called Jamie to tell her. I thought she said she was coming over, so I stayed and cleaned 102, which was right under 203. But she took half an hour to get there. Then we talked about what was left to do at 10. And she helped me carry stuff to my car.

I went home and listened to Mike Adams. I took a box of leftover foods to Jenni. She took most of them. I brought the rest home. I donated online to the chapel. I listened to Tucker interview RFKjr.

I took a shower and went to the pool to meet Jenni. We swam for an hour and talked to Gene. Then we went home. I finished the podcast. I made a reservation at the same place Michelle had hers.

Faye called. She told me Josiah had died but she didn't know why. I did an internet search on his name to see what news articles might come up. Articles about a traffic accident came up, but no names given.

I went to Michelle's house for walking as we had agreed earlier. After walking, we sat and talked in her front yard. Then I went home to finish my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of Walker Texas Ranger. Chris went to bed. I stayed up to get ready for bed, then read for awhile. Finally I went to bed around 11.

The Shoe Fairy

Tuesday

I got up soon after 7. I got ready for the day. I read e-mail for awhile, waiting for the temp to rise. Then I went out to water the plants with diluted Epsom salt.

I went to the apartment to finish cleaning the kitchen. I left the floor lightly covered in water to soak. I went home to made and eat breakfast. Chris came home for lunch. I laid out in the sun for 15 minutes. I listened to Mike Adams.

I went back to finish the kitchen floor. I expected it to be wet, but it was dry. I also worked on the walls. Then Michelle called, so I went to her house and we went walking. When we got back, we sat in her front yard and talked while the kids annoyed each other. When she left, I went home.

I deleted several hundred old e-mails. I listened to another Mike Adams podcast. Chris came home for supper. After eating, I went out to rake and mow. I mowed more than I raked because I just couldn't stop. Then I put the mower away and came in to work on my blog.

We watched two episodes of WTR. We both got ready for bed. Chris went to bed but I stayed up to read. I also put egg boxes and cash out for the lady who delivers eggs.
Just as I was about to turn off my phone and go to bed, Michelle texted that she had left some shoes hanging on my door.  So I brought them in and tried them on.  I liked them and they fit.  I promised to pay her and I went to bed.

Ice pack helped

Monday

I got up and dressed. I read e-mail with an ice pack on my wrist. It was too cool to go outside barefoot. Then I decided to go early to the apartment to clean. I worked in the kitchen for 2.25hr.

When I got home, I made up supplements, then made and ate breakfast. I read a little, then laid out in the sun before it strayed too far from my lounger. Afterward, I worked on a hymn and saved it to my thumb drive. Then I went to the library to print it out. I also printed out an arrangement of When the Saints Go Marching In. I talked to Melissa for some time. Keli texted, wanting to move band to tomorrow. But I told her to ahead with her husband.

I got home after 5 and saw a message asking me to open the swap shop at 6. I ate some supper, then went to the swap shop to unlock it. I continued on to band. I played with Jenni and Sophia. We quit a little early.

I went home, stopping to lock the swap shop. I jotted notes for my blog and ate a carrot. I went walking with Michelle. I gave her some of the drained yogurt. It tasted like vanilla cream cheese. We talked, then checked out a tree that fell on 3rd street. It was riddled with termites.

I was home by 8:30. I made tea and we watched two episodes of Walker Texas Ranger. I had a gel pack on my wrist the whole time. Chris went to bed. I got ready for bed, then stayed up to post to my blog. I set up another tub of yogurt to drain, not realizing that she can't digest it.

what to do with old yogurt

Sunday

I got up at 8 and got dressed. I watered the plants, but my right hand hurt so I left the gophers alone. I read e-mail for a while. Chris gave me a massage, and then we took our showers. I made and ate breakfast. We got dressed for church and went to the chapel.

Chris talked with the supply chaplain. I set up my trombone, then realized I forgot the snack. Keli led us in three praise hymns. Chaplain spoke about God's will. Then we musicians played two hymns. After the service, we talked in small groups. I talked with Rick about the game, and he suggested a crossover where his group runs into our group.

Chris and I went home and changed clothes. I couldn't get Jenni or Michelle to walk or swim with me. I read e-mail, then took bags of clothes to the swap shop. I also went to the garden. The wind was blowing the shade structure down. I reassembled it and added more time to the irrigation timer. I went to the apartment to get the yogurt from the fridge. I talked to Jamie while I was there.

When I got home, Chris was cooking ground beef and the corn that Keli gave me. I put some in a dish. I put one container of yogurt in cheesecloth and set it in a colander to drain. I dialed into the game. I ate and we played. After the game, Chris and I discussed how it went.

Then I met Michelle at the gym and we walked around several blocks while talking. When we got back to the gym, we continued to talk. Finally we split. I stopped at the swap shop to unlock it for Kenzie to get in tomorrow. Then I went home.

I put away my laundry and we made the bed. It was too late to watch TV, so we spent time on our laptops. Chris then went to bed. I stayed up to read about soils and magnesium. I posted to my blog, put the draining yogurt in the fridge and went to bed.

Windy again

Saturday

I got up around 7:30. By now I notice that the amount of light at 7:30 is diminishing. Fall is coming, and with it, cold weather. Sigh.

I took my supplements, then went out to water. I noticed a big mound near the property line and dirt was flying out. So I went around front and snuck over to the hose bib. I turned it on and raced to the hole to fill it with water. I also poured two watering cans of water to flood it. But the creature did not come up. I don't know if he hid, or got drowned.

When I finished watering my wind-battered plants, I noticed that the wind was intensifying again. Grrrr. I went inside and posted to my blog for Thursday. I looked up what I missed during game night.

I went to the apartment to clean for an hour and 45 minutes. Then I went home for breakfast. But first I had to make more breakfast mix. THEN, I ate breakfast while reading e-mail and messages. I put a spray bottle of homemade soap in the sink to warm up. But when I left at 2 to clean Keli's RV, I forgot it.

I also forgot my phone. I cleaned her place in the usual manner, listening to the wind howl. Then went home. I texted her that I was done. I tried to take a nap but it didn't work. I read messages and looked up a part of the game last night. Turns out that rolling the ball is just a diversion. Chris texted from an airport.

I spent 3 hours listening to David Icke. Jamie called to ask about things left behind in the apartment. I put a new filter in the Air Doctor, but the indicator light did not go out. I folded the swap shop clothes and put them in bags to take back.

Chris texted from the SLC airport so I would know to expect him around midnight. I washed the dishes in the kitchen and got ready for bed. I listened to another podcast on detoxing, then posted to my blog and went to bed. An hour later, Chris came home and crawled into bed next to me.

Starting up the riding mower

Friday

I got up around 8, having slept just ok, like the rest of this week. I figured I'd sleep better without Chris getting up at 4:30 each morning. Maybe not. Anyway, I got ready for the day. I jotted notes for game night. I watered the plants outside and in. I got two small potatoes from a dead plant. I filled some gopher holes.

I went to the apartment to meet Saronna and her kids. They brought bags and boxes to cart off the food. All the water had leaked out of the tub. I refilled it and added more ammonia. I closed the doors and told the kids to stay out. After they left, I cleaned cabinets and the stove and walls.

At noon I went home for lunch. I looked up hints for the next game night, thinking it would be next week. I read e-mail until Jamie called to ask if they could use the riding mower. They weren't quite ready to come over, so I made a grocery list and went to the commissary.

When I got home, I texted and called her. She and her husband came over. They pumped up the tires with a bicycle pump, but it wasn't great. They jumped it twice, then he drove it to the shopette to use the air hose there. She followed him in case he ran out of gas.

I went to the garden. The wind was really strong and had taken its toll on the shade structure (and all the plants). I put it back together, not knowing if it would last. Then I spent another 2 hours of cleaning at the apartment. I vacuumed up all the crumbs left under the bed and around furniture, then started on the stove and fridge.

For supper, I had beef and a carrot. I was watching Dr. Ruby talk to a Korean scientist who was incubating Pfizer and Moderna vials and recording the structures that were growing in them. The oldest one has been growing for 2.5 years. She also found these structures in the blood and semen of vaccinated individuals, even after 2 years.

Just then Casey invited me to another game night. I wasn't prepared but could not resist the invitation. I didn't have time to post to my blog. But I prepared tea and drove over.

Casey had the computer starting up. I chatted with Isadora then clicked Play when it came up. This time I was able to get back to the gear room in the game. However, things did not go as well as I hoped. So, I went to the water world. Things went better there, and I caught up and exceeded what I had watched on the walkthrough.

At 11, I thanked Casey and went home. Driving through the streets reminded me of the game, but I had to remind myself that in THIS game, real consequences happen, not just getting sent back to the start of the game.  I went through my usual nightly routine and hit the hay.

Starting on the worst apartment

Thursday

I got up after 7:30. I got ready for the day. I took some methylene blue. It always makes a mess when I subdivide the squares. I took out the garbages, all of them. I went out to water the plants and mess with the gophers. I didn't see any, which tells me they are used to me flooding their tunnels in the morning. I'll have to go back later.

I ate a banana. I checked messages. I added notes to yesterday's write-up. I went to the garden to check irrigation. I picked 5 corn cobs. When I got home, I shucked them and ate the smaller ones. They weren't ready.

I read messages and listened to short clips. I walked to the post office to get a package. I stopped at the swap shop to look for shoes, but all they had in my size were country boots. However I saw a suit that might fit Chris. Also a note about clothes to be washed.

I walked home, stopped to talk to Stirling. I finished podcast, then messaged Anka. I put on The Highwire, then made and ate breakfast while watching it. When it was over, I put on my suit and laid out on the lounger for some sun. Then I got dressed. I went to the swap shop to get the suit and the bags of clothes to be washed.

From there I went to apt 102 for the sign over. One of the Housing ladies was waiting in the hall. The occupant was taking loads to the trash. When Connie arrived, we went inside. She looked around to check appliances. Collie told me we didn't have to wash the blinds because they had cords and need to be replaced by blinds without cords. We discussed whether the resident could stay until tomorrow morning. But he said he would leave today and text me when. He gave me the cash and we all signed the contract. I went home.

I made a batch of seed crackers and popped them in the oven. I boiled the two remaining corn cobs. I started a load of laundry from the swap shop. I made a batch of Dawn mixed with vinegar, then washed up all the soapy utensils. I found the lockbox and set it near my purse.

I listened to the new Highwire Plus aftertalk videos. I watched a video on making a linen top. I started the second load of laundry. I finished another video. I worked on my blog.

I texted the guy from the signover and he said he had just left. So I went over there. I checked the storage unit, then went to the apartment to get the tub, toilet and burner bowls soaking in ammonia. The smell wasn't very strong so I think I will have to use fresher ammonia tomorrow. I went through the cupboards, pulling out boxes and bags and cans. There were more than a dozen boxes of cereal on top of the fridge! All opened, of course. I talked to both Saronna and Michelle about coming over to get some leftover foods.

I took three shopping bags of food home. I got ready for game night and finished posting to my blog. I took a bottle of tea, jar of cheese and a container of protein powder to Michelle's house. No one was there but she texted that I should go in. So I did. It took me 15 minutes to get the game loaded, maybe more. Isadora came back from archery with big bruises on her arm. She was so proud. She called a friend to tell him.

Then Michelle came back with Casey. Cedrick came home, too. The kids were glad to see him after three weeks. We chatted as I played the game. It was frustrating because I couldn't get back to the world I was in last week, the one I looked up notes for. The ones I could find were boring because there was nothing to do except roam around.

The kids went to bed. Later Michelle went to bed. At 11, I turned off the game and went home so I guess Casey went to bed. And then I went to bed.

RFK or Shiva?

Wednesday

I got up after 7. I prepared for coffee morning. I went out to water the plants. I didn't see any new gopher mounds. I came in and finished the exercises and reading. Then I did the meditation and tapping. When that was done, I cleaned the bathrooms and washed dishes in the kitchen. I cleaned the stove and countertops. Then I mopped the floor.

When I discovered that I had mopped my vacuum in, I went and took a shower. Then the floor was dry so I could vacuum the halls and bedroom and bathrooms.

I read online for a bit. Dave called to get into the swap shop, so I quickly threw on some clothes and ran down there to let him in. I also got the mail.

I came home and went back to reading messages. I cracked open a coconut. I listened to an interview with Dr. Shiva who is running for President. He sounded really smart and informed. I looked at his site, Shiva4president. Articles are hinting that RFK jr might join with Trump. So then I will vote for Dr. Shiva.

After more reading and listening, I went to the garden. I checked the irrigation systems and used gopher mound dirt to fill in the hole that the bucket came out of. I checked on the grapes.

I went home and texted Michele, but she was busy. I was reading messages again when Jenni called. I talked to her for awhile, then talked to Chris who was ready to go to bed. I watched one episode of Call the Midwife, then posted to my blog and went to bed.

Trimming the apple tree

Tuesday

I got up after 7. Chris was gone. I washed up and got dressed. I went out to water the plants and annoy the gophers. None came up. I read messages for awhile, then went to 83D to get the rest of my stuff and do a quick wipe here and there. Afterward, I went to check the garden. Everything seemed to be fine.

I went home. I read for a bit, then made and ate breakfast. I went back to 83D with some mineral oil. I polished the sink with it to get rid of some marks. Then Housing rang the doorbell. I let them in and they looked around, said everything was in order. We signed the papers and I went home.

Soon after, I got a call from Jamie who had just arrived at 83D. She gave me her hours and went to turn in the key. I worked with the numbers for a bit, then decided just to go with a 200-50 split. I made up a payment envelop for her.

Saronna let me know she wasn't able to play today. I tried to catch up on e-mail. John and I connected over Discord and talked about options for my player sheet. During the call, a man called to ask for a quote, which I scheduled for 6:30. Afterward, I went out to check the gopher traps, then came in and heated some roast for supper.

I logged into Zoom for the quilt guild meeting. Once it got started, the first thing they did was have everyone show their favorite sewing/quilting tool. I wasn't prepared for that, and didn't have a camera to show it on anyway. Then they had the business meeting. The show-and-tell is my favorite part, but I missed it because I had to run to do the quote.

Jamie met me in the parking lot. We walked together to the apartment and knocked. His neighbor came to tell us he wasn't home. But while we were discussing it, the man came home. He let us in and we looked around. The kitchen wasn't too bad, but the bathroom was and the window blinds were. We went out in the hall to discuss it and came up with $500. Jamie was thinking more, but I had already told him that was the highest we had gone. Anyway, we gave him the news and he accepted. We agreed to meet hime for the signover on Thursday at 3.

Jamie and I walked out together, agreeing to meet again at 7. I went to the library to check out the next season of WTR. Then I remembered her payment. But it was already 7 so I went to the apple tree and met McKenzie and Jamie and her husband and son. Jamie had all the tools we needed, so McKenzie showed us how to cut the suckers off. Then Mark climbed a ladder and sawed off dead limbs. We picked up the dead wood and put it on Jamie's trailer.

Then we talked for some time. Jamie's family left. As I stayed talking to Kenzie, it got dark. But we didn't know if we would see each other again before she and her family moved back to Maryland for the school season.

Finally we parted. I went home and read some messages before working on my blog. There wasn't time to watch TV and Chris had flown to NY anyway. I got ready for bed, read some, then left the Tibetan music playing on my laptop while I went to bed. But I could not hear it in there.

Low attendance for band

Monday

I got up before 8. I went out to water plants. I went to Housing to make appointment for inspection. They couldn't do it until tomorrow. I met the new Housing manager who seems very nice. I went to the garden. Irrigation was working, but needed to repair leak in an irrigation line. The repair did not completely fix it.

I went home, and texted Jamie the inspection time. I selected two hymns and cleaned up the copies, adding in missing notes. I saved them to a thumb drive and went to the library to print them off. Keli was there. She printed them and we chatted. She said she had to be there till 7 so could we move band to 7? I called Saronna but she didn't answer. Later she messaged me through Facebook and said she might not be coming anyway. I texted Jenni to make sure she could make it.

I made and ate breakfast, then laid out in the sun. I read e-mail and messages, clearing out open tabs. I watched a tapping video. Then I went out to mow, but it was starting to rain, so I worked on my blog. I called Jamie to make sure she got my text. I rolled up my car windows so the rain would stop. And it seemed to work. I read messages for a bit while the porch dried out.

Then I took the lawn mower out and mowed the remaining areas that I hadn't gotten to before. Not long after Chris came home, I finished and put the mower away. He was having supper when I went in. I had time to watch some more of the tapping video, then I took my music and went to band.

I wasn't sure who would come, so I laid down in the front row of the chapel. When Keli arrived, I got up and assembled my trombone. She had music and we played through hymns and tunes. We even tried When the Saints go Marching In. Finally, we called it quits and went home.

I had texts from Jenni who said she forgot about band tonight. I made tea and we watched two episodes of WTR. I got ready for bed. Chris went to bed, but I stayed up a little later to make sure I had notes for the whole day. Then I went to bed, too.

The new campaign

Sunday

We slept in till almost 8. I got dressed and went out to see if the plants needed water. Most of them did not. I emptied rainwater from various pots, etc, outside. I read a few messages and heated half a gallon of goat milk on the stove. I put it in a bowl mixed with probiotics and placed the bowl in the dehydrator to soak at 122F.

I went to the garden to check all the irrigation systems. I turned the watering time down. I pulled weeds growing around the corn and tomatoes. When I got back home, I texted Casey that his garden was doing well.

I read more messages and e-mail. I checked on the milk. I wanted it to thicken. I made up a week's worth of supplements. Chris put a roast in the oven. I made and ate breakfast. I got ready for church, as did Chris. I got out the cheese squares for snack. Chris carried my trombone, and we headed to the chapel.

As we went in, I put the cheese squares on the back table. We greeted this week's chaplain who looked like Patrick. I asked if he could do communion and he said yes, however we looked all over and could not find any communion sets. He texted the chaplain who will come next week and asked that one to bring some.

So Keli led the praise songs and then the chaplain led a liturgical service. Then we musicians played two hymns. The pastor did a sending, and the service ended. We chatted in small groups. Jedediah wanted to put my trombone away and carry it, but he couldn't.  So he asked to carry my purse. Which was fine until his sister had to walk him home. I offered him a cheese square to give it back to me.

We went home and changed clothes. I worked with John over Discord to add to my character sheet. Chris pulled the roast out of the oven, and I had a little time to eat before the game started. I also put rennet in the milk.

Everyone was so excited to start the new game. Except me because it was so new that I had no idea what to do. We chatted among ourselves first, then Chris started the game with a little description of background and layout. He described the scene as a boy came forth to ask us for help finding his sister.

Then Jamie called so I missed what happened next. I promised her I would set up an inspection with Housing in the morning. Then I tried to catch up in the game. Suddenly I remembered the cheese. I pulled it out of the dehydrator while listening to the others role-play checking out leads on the missing sister. I scooped the curds, still listening. Finally, I got to sit down and participate. I was out of my depth, not knowing what to do when my turn came. But others steered me away from some forms of action and into others. My character sheet, an amalgamation of suggestions from different people, was not internally consistent. Plus I could not see it all at once on the screen, so I was scrolling this way and that. Eventually, we found the sister, who had run off with a boy from a wealthy family and got them to return home. Well, he returned, and she went off to sword training.

At the end, we were about to embark on another adventure, but it was after 8. I changed my avatar to be a quilt square. Everybody said their goodbyes and signed off. I worked on my blog. I made tea and we watched one episode of WTR. Chris went to bed, and I stayed up a little later, but joined him before he turned the lights out.

Stitch and Glitch

Saturday

I got up before 8. I got ready for the day. I went out to water the plants. I soaked some gopher holes and crushed tunnels with my wet, muddy feet. Then I went in to read some messages and such. The power flickered several times; just long enough to knock out the internet. I went in my sewing room to work on the casserole cover.

At 10:30 I asked Chris for a massage. Later he took his shower and I took mine. I finished the casserole cover and then made and ate breakfast. I packed up the supplies and went to the chapel.

I unlocked the doors and set up three machines. I laid out the sample and the pieces that were cut. I made sure the sewing machines were in good order. I had to rewind a bobbin and deal with a double thread. The whole time no one came.

So around three I went home. I finished listening to an interview. I heated half a gallon of goat milk on the stove. Chris sat down to help me with my character sheet. I had sent it to James for his recommendations but hadn't heard from him yet. The milk boiled over. I turned off the heat and poured in some vinegar. We finished the character sheet.

I skimmed the curds. I chopped up fruit peels and threw them into the compost. I heated the leftover steak for supper. I went out to mow the back yard and part of the side yard. Then I remembered my blog, so I went in to post before I had to leave. I posted by e-mail, wishing I could preview it before it posted.

I headed to Game Night. I brought my purse to add the finishing touches. I whipped stitched the lining shut and added a few stitches where necessary. I cut the top of the handle. Jenni came and wanted to make a flag shirt. So I pulled out that project and got her started. I made a tube to slide over the handle of the purse and inserted a piece of denim between the two ends. I slid the tube over the denim and topstitched the whole thing. It did not look as good as I imagined.

Jenni kept having trouble with the machines, moving from one to another. I went behind her to check out the trouble, but didn't find any. Finally it got late and I started packing up. She decided to finish her flag at the next Project Night and helped me pack up. We put everything away and locked up.

I went home. I contacted John and we worked on my character sheet till I could not see straight anymore. Then Chris helped me dress the bed and I went through the usual routine. I sat at my laptop listening to Tibetan music waiting for him. But I gave up and went to bed.

Shopping day

Friday

We got up before 8. I got dressed and went out to water the plants. When I came in, I deleted a bunch of e-mail. Then Chris showed me the map of his campaign and mentioned the languages used in each section. I got overwhelmed and he said it was a 'sky is green' moment and couldn't understand why. It became a heated discussion.

I took a break and called Jamie to find out if she was still planning on finishing 83D today. But she said she'd do it tomorrow. We discussed other things as well. Then Chris and I got back into it. But he seemed satisfied with whatever it was that I said. And I don't think I said anything I haven't said before.

I jotted notes for my blog. I made and ate breakfast. I texted with John about the character sheet. We took the grocery list and went to the commissary. We unloaded the food, then went to Tooele. I went to Melanie's, then then we went to Macey's. I stopped by the dollar store for marbles, but they didn't have any. Faye texted that her father-in-law passed away.

When we got back to base, we unloaded that food. I checked messages. I read e-mail. I mowed the sunny side of the yard. I came in and heated steak for supper. I also picked greens for me and for Michelle. I made a salad.

I worked on my blog. I took greens and a small garlic to Michelle's house. She emoted about her kids, I started up the game. She continued to emote. The kids came home from the neighbor's house and she was so nice to them. They went to bed. She made a salad with the greens I brought.

We stayed up. I played until 11, then shut down the game. She talked for almost 45 minutes and sold me 4 bottles of milk and gave me some oranges. I went home and put them in the fridge. Chris was still up, but I got ready and went to bed.

Choosing just the right project

Thursday

I got up around 8 and got ready for the day. I went over to 83D thinking I could move the garbage from the water-filled bins to dry bins, then I could empty the ones with water. However, when I got there, someone had rolled them both to the curb.

So I went to the garden and checked irrigation systems. All were working. I went home to water. I flushed some gopher holes. Most of the mounds did not seem to be covering a hole. I also poured some citrus rind water down the holes that I found.

I went to 83D to clean. I ended up mopping the floors, but leaving the bathroom for Jamie. Then I went home to fix breakfast. I ate while watching The Highwire. Then I laid out in the sun for a bit. I came in and read messages. I made a wrist rest as a sample project for sewing class this week. I jotted notes for my blog.

The wrist rest seemed too easy considering that Saronna's kids were not coming. So I looked through my sewing folders and decided to do a casserole cover; something kids might not be interested in. Then I had to choose fabric – something I like but have no other use for. It didn't quite work out that way, but close. I cut enough for both the lengthwise piece and the crosswise piece, but then discovered that I had the dimensions wrong for the crosswise piece. I sewed around the three layers for the lengthwise piece, then decided I had run out of time. So I posted the class announcement to the Facebook pages using an online pic.

John started texting me about filling out my character sheet. I read messages and articles from e-mail. I ate some steak and a salad. I went out to mow the shady side of the yard. I saw Chris come home. He was late because of his meeting in Tooele.

I put the mower away and plugged in the battery to charge. I worked on my blog, then made tea. We watched two episodes of WTR. Chris went to bed. I got ready for bed, read a message or two, then crawled in next to him for an ok night of sleep.

Something good in the trash?

Wednesday

I had a hard time falling asleep. So when I woke up around 7, I did not get up. And I fell back asleep. So I got up at 8. I looked around outside and the plants seemed to have enough water from the rain. The trap was covered in dirt, so I dug it up and re set it.

I prepared for coffee morning with coffee and exercises. I meditated and tapped. Chris came home for lunch. I started cleaning the bathrooms and the kitchen. I washed dishes. I watered the indoor plants. I mopped the kitchen floor. I read e-mail till it was dry, then went and took a shower.

I went to the garden and then to the gym. I met Michelle there at 4. I worked out on the machines that she set me up on. Then we went to the chapel to check out the basement. But my chapel key did not work in that lock.

We went home and I went to clean. I finished the stove and did windows in other rooms. The man next door asked if I was going to take the trash to the curb. I said no and he said he would do it. I had to tell him I wasn't ready for it to go out yet. I didn't tell him that there was a vacuum in the trash and I wanted to get it out and see if it would be ok with a little TLC.

Later I called Michelle to see if she would come over to help me get it, but she was busy. So I tried it myself, but I could not pull it out because of the stuff on top of it. I noted that it had rained inside the trash bins because they were so full that the tops were up. I tried to move them to the street, but I could not budge them, not even a little.

I went home. I opened a coconut. I read Telegram messages. I worked on my blog. I posted it by e-mail which allowed me to add a picture AND not have to insert paragraph markings.

I made tea and we watched two episodes of WTR. Chris went to bed but I got ready for bed, then stayed up to read. I hit the hay around 11.

Earning the cash

Tuesday

I got up after 7. I got dressed and went out to water and to flush gophers. It still didn't work. I wonder of the gophers are building wider tunnels to accommodate more water?

I read e-mail for a bit. I put on my garden shoes. I put a sweeper and cleaners in my car. I went to the garden to check the irrigation. Everything was in order.

I went to 83D to clean at 10. I worked for 2 hours. At one point, I went out to get something from my car and the door locked behind me. I had to break in. Later, the man who signed the cleaning contract brought me the cash as he promised.

I quit at noon and went home for breakfast. I took the screen from a back window of 83D and cleaned it by spraying it with the hose. I left it to dry. I made breakfast and ate it while reading e-mail.

At 2pm, I went to Saronna's house to play. Most of her kids were in school. So we got more playing done. Jedediah wanted to carry my trombone to my car but this trombone is heavier and he couldn't do it. So cute.

I went down the street to 83D. I cleaned until 5:20, finishing the fridge and cabinets, etc. I fished a dish soap cap from the waste disposal and ground up some lemon wedges to combat the smell.

I went home for supper. I read articles and messages. John texted with me about getting ready for the new game next Sunday. Then I went to the apple tree to help trim it. But no one showed up. Eventually I went home again and sent out some messages. They had decided to do it next Tuesday.

I got back on my laptop. I posted to my blog. Then, since the Pinterest page was still open to band memes, I kept reading and forgot the time. It was almost 9 when I pulled myself away and made tea. Then Chris wasn't quite ready. So we only had time for one episode of Walker Texas Ranger. Afterward, he went to bed and I stayed up to read a bit. Then I went straight to bed.

The busy rainy day

Monday

I got up at 7:30 from a dream state. I expected to wake up late since it took so long to fall asleep. I got dressed and checked Facebook. In a message, the guy was offering me less than my quote and wanted to set up a time for signover. I headed to my phone to call Jamie and it rang before I picked it up. The man called and I told him our quote was firm. We set the time for 3pm.

So then I dialed Jamie. As I did, I looked out the window and saw a gopher digging up dirt in the back yard. I called him a choice name just as Jamie picked up the phone. I hope she didn't hear it. We agreed that the man must not have seen the cleaning requirements. We also agreed to meet at 3 for signing and again at 5:30 for another quote.

I went outside to flush the new gopher hole. The critter did not emerge anywhere that I could see. I watered and fertilized plants. I dealt with gopher mounds on the shady side of the house. When I came back, the gopher had covered over the hole. So I put a trap in it.

I went in to check e-mail and put on my garden shoes. I jotted notes for my blog. I went to the garden to fertilize, weed, and check 3 irrigation systems. I also had to reassemble the shade structure.

I went home. I listened to part of a podcast, then turned it up as loud as it would go. I chose and scanned some hymns into the desktop computer. Then I made breakfast. While I was eating, Chris came home for lunch. After eating, I worked on the hymn copies, deleting the black stuff and copy/pasting new clefs and key signatures as needed. Then I created a sign for the swap shop denoting that hours are as announced on the community Facebook page.

It started raining, so I put on shoes that could handle water. I took my thumb drive and went to the library to print out the hymns and the swap shop flyer. I went to the swap shop to drop off a box and to tape the flyer to the door. I went home to turn off the sprinkler.

I got a contract and went to 83D for a signover. Jamie did not show up so we could not do Venmo. I agreed to let him pay me in cash tomorrow. We signed the papers and he left me a key. They all left and I went to my car to get a bucket trap. He said the mice were awful. I set it up and looked around. There was a clamp fixture with a red bulb in it attached to a multi outlet adapter. It didn't work when I plugged it in, but turns out its the adapter that doesn't work. I put the light in my car. I went to the chapel to drop off the music and put a plunger in the women's bathroom. I ate a tomato. Jenni texted about going to the pool, but it kept raining off and on, so we didn't go. I jotted notes for my blog. I called Jamie to make sure she was coming to the 5:30 quote. She programmed it into her phone. I looked for music memes on Pinterest. After I found three, I posted one to each of the three Dugway pages for band practice. Then I looked for more memes for next time. Chris came home from work a little early. I went to meet Jamie for the quote. They drove up while we were ringing their doorbell. They let us in and we looked at the usual trouble spots. We quoted them $550 for cleaning three bedroom, 2.5 baths. I went to band practice. No one was there so I sat and relaxed for a bit. Then Keli and Jenni came. So we played the first hymn. Then Saronna and the kids arrived. They had been at Back-to-school night. We played through some songs until I couldn't play any more. Then we called it quits and packed up. When I got home, Chris had steak for me. I ate while looking at more band memes. I made a carrot salad, too. Finally I switched to another screen and worked on my blog. Then I made tea and we watched one episode of WTR. Then Chris went to bed. I stayed up a little later, but not as late as usual. I laid in the recliner and listened to music. Later I went to bed.

Happily ever after - the game that never ends

Sunday

I got up late. I went out to water the plants, as usual. I spent some time flushing gopher holes, but they did not come out. I went in and made cheese squares. While they baked, I read e-mail. When they were done, I took them out and let them cool a bit. I sliced off the crusty edges and ate them.

I went to the garden. One of the support posts was out of place and tomato branches had been knocked down, even ones that had been tied to the cages. I picked up the ripped off branches. I checked the irrigation systems, then I took the branches home to put them in water.

I read some e-mail, then made breakfast. As I ate, I could hear Chris taking a shower, which was unusual. I finished breakfast and washed up for church. Turns out Chris was going to chapel with me because we are having a fill-in pastor from Fort Carson. When I was ready, we took Chris' car to church.

We walked in and only saw two people. Chris introduced himself to the chaplain. I assembled my trombone and talked to Keli. Then the service started. We sang three praise songs, then we had the sermon. Finally the musicians assembled up front and we played two hymns.

After the service, Chris stayed to talk to the chaplain. Keli paid me for cleaning yesterday. I talked to Jenni and Saronna. Jenni liked the yellow cheese squares but not the black ones that had garlic paste. Oh well. When Chris was ready, we went home, leaving my trombone in the chapel for band tomorrow.

I watched an interview or two. Then I took off my church clothes. The shorts I was going to put on had worn out elastic. So I took them to my sewing room and found some of Chris' underwear elastic and sewed that on. Then I got dressed and went out to check the gopher traps.

When I came in, it was time for the game. I signed into Discord and chatted with the family. John was over half an hour late, but then the game got started. Slowly. But it was fun and we gathered evidence and presented it to the court, proving that the beast didn't harm the kids and was framed. Well, it went a little long because Michele wanted to finish it tonight. So then John ended it with “And everyone lived happily ever after”. To which I replied, “But what about...” and he followed every objection with “they too lived happily ever after”.

When everyone signed out, Michelle texted about going for a walk. So I drove over there. Her daughter brought me a jaw bone that she found. Michelle and I walked and mostly she talked. The wind blew and it got dark. Then we made plans and I went home.

I made tea and we watched one episode of WTR. Chris went to bed and I looked up an actress, but she wasn't in anything I had seen. I stayed up to work on my blog and to listen to Tibetan music. A storm came through and I rolled up my windows and Chris' windows. I laid down again, but the music didn't work and I went to bed.

Extra game night

Saturday

I got up around 8:30. I went out to water the veggies, gophers, etc. I went to the garden to check the irrigation. Something had broken a corn plant and several tomato branches. I also had to fix the structure for the shade cloth.

I went home and asked for a massage. Chris complied. He took his shower and then I took mine. It was time for breakfast. I had to make up a week's worth of supplements first, then make breakfast.

At 2 I went to the swap shop to unlock it, then to Keli's RV to clean and dust, etc. I finished in 90 minutes, then went to the gardens to pick Michelle's cucumbers. I went home.

I noticed a message on Facebook asking me to call a number who wanted a house cleaned. So I called. He said the house was open and to go over there to figure out a quote. I called Jamie, but she wasn't free. So I went by myself. I looked around, came up with a price range, then called Jamie. We discussed it and settled on $250. I called him and we discussed it. I don't think he liked that estimate.

I went home. I texted him that he was free to get other quotes. He wanted to know when I could carry off the chairs on the back porch. So I called Jamie and she said she could do it. I was thinking we only carry them off if we are the ones doing the cleaning, but WTH.

I watched URU videos to catch up on what places I have been to in the game. I took pics of notes that I deliberately didn't read. Chris cooked mushrooms for me, and I made a carrot salad. Jenni came over with a spaghetti squash that a neighbor had grown. I watched some other videos, too.

I posted to my blog an d got ready for the extra game night that Michelle said I could have since last night was short. She was gone to get her kids, but the cat was glad to see me. I had a couple of questions about the set-up, but then I pulled up the game and got started. I did everything I was prepared to do, except jumping up to a ledge. For some reason, that didn't work. But I got everything else done and some exploring.

Then I shut it all down and went home. Chris was still up. So we went to bed at the same time.

Having a day of checkups and cheese and challenges

Friday

I had a hard time falling asleep the night before so I was not too surprised to wake up around 9am. I got dressed and went out to water the plants. Then I flushed several gopher tunnels, but with no results.

I read some e-mail, then the electricity went out. I went to the garden to check the irrigation systems. I tracked several leaks in the one to the peach trees. One I was able to patch and I turned off several sprinklers that were not necessary any more. But the leak in the middle of the path was beyond me. I tied up some tomato branches in my garden, then headed out. But I stopped short because Kenzie showed up with her family. I talked to her about the irrigation system. She talked to me about pruning the apple tree on Tuesday.

I went home. I made more breakfast mix, then fixed breakfast. I ate while reading e-mail. Chris came back from the office and was ready to go to the dentist. So when I finished breakfast, I poured myself a bottle of tea and we headed out. However, he needed to stop at the office on the way. Then just off post, we ran into road contruction. So we were running late. The office offered to reschedule, but I wanted to see the dentist.

We got there about 1:10. They took me right away. She cleaned my teeth and the dentist confirmed her diagnosis that a corner had chipped off a filling so it needed to be replaced. She made me an appointment for Nov. Then I went and sat by Chris who was having his teeth cleaned. I asked about xylitol gum for keeping decay at bay and she said it would take 6 grams a day. I had no idea how much gum that would take.

When she was done with him, we went to the desk to renew his plan, which covers the 6-month cleanings, and we left. We went to Lucky's and Melanie's. I stopped at Joanns to see the bone sewing machine that Saronna talked about. Then we shopped at Macey's, where I got rennet, and went home, listening to the book on CD. Once on base, we stopped at the commissary, then went home to unload groceries. I waited until Chris was done in the kitchen, then got a snack, followed by a piece of xylitol gum. I heated goat milk on the stove then added probiotics and made fermented cheese in the dehydrator. I read e-mail for awhile. I tried to patch a dress for Michelle's mom, but it did not come out well because the fabric was shredded. I took out the patch.

Chris shouted "Love you" and headed out. He picked up the guy next door and went to the ACS building for a session of gaming. I made and ate a carrot salad and the leftover ground beef. Faye called. She was at Kurt's place. The conversation went long because we hadn't talked in a while. I thought I would be late for Game Night, but Michelle texted that she was running late as well. So I finished up with Faye by 9.

Then I prepared a bottle of tea. I met Michelle at her house and gave her some cheese. She put hot sauce on it and called it comfort food. We talked and I tried to queue up the game. She called her husband and we carried him around the house to find the mouse and keyboard that were needed. Finally the game was up and I started to play. It was difficult because I could not make it go to first person view.

All too soon it was 11, so I put it to sleep. Michelle said I should come back tomorrow and play again since tonight was short. I thanked her and went home. Chris was still up. So we ended up going to bed at the same time. It was relaxing. He fell asleep first.

A double-header

Thursday

I got up at 7:30. I went out to water the plants. I worked extensively on gopher holes on the shady side of the house. I was able to flush one out and he joined his comrade in stillness. I put on garden shoes and went to the garden to check irrigation systems. All working. I watered around the sunken bucket trap until I was able to pull it out.

I went home and read e-mail. I made breakfast and ate it while watching The Highwire. Afterward I went out to behead the dead gophers. I put the bodies where other invading gophers would find them. I put on an old bathing suit and laid out in the sun. Then I soaked the heads in bleach.

I made vinegar cheese for Michelle out of two quarts of the milk. I did not have rennet to make my own. I started watching a movie called Protocol 7. Chris called to say Jenni wanted me at the pool. So I paused the movie and put on a better suit and drove there. I was feeling light headed.

I walked over to the tables where they were handing out swag. Michelle came up behind me as we were talking. I got one of the free shirts. I went to the pool with Michelle, but she wanted me to go down the big slide. I went over to talk to Jenni and Kelly for some time. Then Michelle insisted, so we went over to the big slide. We talked to some people and I climbed up. There were two little kids up there, afraid to go down. So I told them that if they pushed on each side with their legs, it would slow down the descent. I demonstrated. Michelle filmed me. But the kids still didn't come down so Michelle went up and 'helped' them. They must have been ok with it, because they got back in line to go again.

We went back to the pool area and talked with Saronna and Kenzie. Chris came over. Other chatting, then I got in the pool and hung out with Jenni till the pool closed. Chris was gone, so I got out, toweled off and went home.

I changed into dry clothes. I checked on the gopher heads. They were not done. I made a salad and ate while watching more of Protocol 7 (its about fraud in Merck's mumps vaccine). I worked on my blog. I still couldn't add a pic to the post. I sent feedback for the umpteenth time, with no response. But this time, I accepted the cookies because they said it would give them more information to address the issue. HOWEVER, after accepting the cookies, the system would not accept the feedback. And no explanation why.

I made tea and we watched one episode of WTR. Chris went to bed and read a book. But he had turned off the light before I got ready for bed. I tried to fall asleep to music in the recliner, but it didn't work. After 45 minutes, I went to bed.

Sitting with Michelle

Wednesday

I got up around 7:30. I went out to water the plants and to dig up gopher mounds. I set both traps. Then I got started on Coffee morning. I turned on the CD player. I exercised and read from a book called When God Winks.

After meditation and tapping, I heard Chris come home for lunch. I was cleaning the bathrooms and kitchen. Chris being home meant he was kind of in the way. I vacuumed and mopped. He went back to work.

I took a shower and got dressed. I ate a coconut. I checked the flat trap and found a gopher. I reset it in the same hole. I read e-mail, thinking Michelle and I would go to the gym later. But then she had to stay at her church to answer questions for people who were coming in to do work.

She asked me to meet her there, so I took some weights and went. We did a little bit of workout, but my arms were sore from trimming tree branches yesterday. There was a pile of stuff in the middle of the fellowship hall being thrown away. I took two lamps for the swap shop and a bigger tree trimmer. Or maybe its a bolt cutter.

Anyway, she finally heard that the cleaners weren't coming. So we went to her place. She had some goat milk for me. We talked about mowing the yard across from hers. Then I headed home, passing Chris who was just leaving the chapel. We got home at the same time. He brought me some tomatoes from work. They were so tempting that I made a salad.

I read e-mail as I ate. Then I turned on the sprinkler in a spot near the house. I went to the other side to check that gopher trap. It had been covered in dirt. I uncovered it and flushed the hole with water and reset the trap. I watered some dryer parts of the yard. I came in to work on my blog. I turned off the sprinkler. I made tea and we watched two episodes of WTR. Chris stayed up till 10:30, but I read till 11, then got ready for bed and got in the recliner, listening to Tibetan music. I fell asleep, then woke up and went to bed.

Trimming tree branches

Tuesday

I got up after hearing my first two alarms. I got dressed and went out to water the plants. I dealt with a few gopher holes and reset the traps. I read some e-mail to cool off, then put on my garden shoes and went over to check irrigation and pull weeds. I also put a gallon of fertilizer on the vegetable portion.

I made and ate breakfast. I laid out in the sun for 20 minutes. I went to see Jamie at the barracks. Luckily she was on a smoking break. I found her out back. She gave me a replacement stick of pumice and my share of the Venmo payment. We discussed her moving to Germany.

I went to Saronna's house. I was 20 minutes late, but she had been late getting home so it worked out. We played while the older kids fed the younger ones. Wilhelm showed me a praying mantis. She asked if we could move band up an hour because its on a school night.

Afterward, I went to the library to copy the back side of two sheets of music that had some other part on the back. I asked Keli about moving band from 7pm to 6pm and she said it was fine. I went home and read e-mail and listened to a podcast. I made a carrot salad, and had some ground beef and rice. I took out a ladder to trim dead branches from the trees.

Chris came home from work. He didn't seem to notice me up on the ladder. I worked until 5:50 then went in. He was ready to go to the FRG meeting, so we got in his car and drove to the ACS building. In the meeting room, the tables were set up with backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, etc. So we lined up to take a backpack and fill it with one of everything. We did over 80 backpacks. Some stuff ran out, and others were still there. Someone cleared the extras away while Steve and I were chatting in the hall.

Then we went back in and chairs were set up. Summer led the FRG meeting. We discussed future events like Friendsgiving and Trunk or Treat. The idea of a Garden group came up and she looked at me to lead it.

After the meeting, Jenni asked some of us if we would like some veggies. So we went out to her car and she handed out stuff. Kenzie and I talked about a garden schedule for next year.

When we got home, I went back to trimming the tree. There were lots of dead branches and some low branches. I also trimmed some that were touching the roof. I came in hot and sweaty. I had a drink and jotted notes for my blog. (still can't post pics). I made tea and we watched two episodes of Walker Texas Ranger. Later Chris went to bed and I stayed up to read, then rested in the recliner to fall asleep to Tibetan music. But it didn't work.

And the husband returns

Monday

I woke up early and stayed in bed till 7:30. I brushed my teeth and took supplements. I checked my phone for messages. Chris said he was on the plane, but the time stamp was for when I turned the phone on. I had no idea when he sent it.

After several months, it was time. I got out the slide box and filled out the paperwork. I traced the slide ends and cut out the foam inserts to fit. I placed the trombone slide inside with the paperwork, then screwed the wooden box shut and taped the cardboard box closed. I took it to the post office and mailed it for $40+.

I watered the plants at home, then went to the garden to check on irrigation systems. Kenzie arrived so we chatted. Veronica came and parked right in the intersection. When I left, I had to drive through the tumbleweeds and around her car to get out to the road.

I went home to change my shoes. I got the large print Bible and went to the Community Club. We chatted until we thought no one else was coming. We read through chapter 8, then chatted some more. Finally, I excused myself and went home.

Chris was waiting for me. He had the laundry started. It took me until noon to find and pick two hymns. I made and ate breakfast, reading e-mail. Chris went to work. I scanned the hymns into the computer and cleaned up the black parts. I loaded them onto a thumb drive.

I laid outside in the sun and finished the book Brave New World. I re-dressed and went to the library. I returned the book and asked her to print out the music. She did and we talked until she got a phone call.

I went home. I drank a couple cups of juice and it did not digest well for some reason. I went through several piles of stuff and threw out papers and re-organized. I found a printout of parts to Stars and Stripes, so I decided to bring it to band. However, some parts were printed on the back of other parts, which was confusing and hard to separate. I labeled each side of each page. I posted to Facebook for band practice.

Chris came home from work and cooked ground beef and rice. I ate some as I read articles. I went to the chapel for band. Wilhelm showed me what he thought was a really big spider. But it looked more like a sand crab to me.

Bethany texted that she had practice in town now so she wasn't coming. But Jenni came and played tambourine. We played through two hymns, and two Broadway tunes, and then Stars and Stripes. Then the kids picked up their toys. We turned out lights and locked up and went home.

When I got home, I called Michelle. We chatted a bit, then agreed to meet at the garden. She had a really long piece of netting and we wound it around her husbands tomato plants. I thought it needed a large spider.

She went home and so did I. I got ready for bed. I read messages and worked on my blog. It seems really boring without pics, but it still won't accept pics. I crawled into the recliner and hoped to fall asleep.

Going after gophers

Sunday

I got up late. My hands hurt. So I took some curcumin, then sat at my laptop with a bag of frozen watermelon, which I alternately held and ate. I got dressed and watered the outdoor and indoor plants. I leveled some gopher mounds and flooded the tunnels. I reset the traps.

I listened to an interview with Robert Kennedy junior. I took a break to check the garden and the lines to the fruit trees. I trimmed suckers off of the apple tree.

When I got home, I listened to more of the interview. I made and ate breakfast, then got ready for church. I went through my music tote to remove stuff I didn't need and make sure I had today's hymns. Then I went to the chapel.

I walked up front with my trombone. As I started to assemble it, Keli asked me what hymns we were playing. I looked in my tote, but the music wasn't there. So I ran home to get it, wondering how I managed to leave it behind. I grabbed it up and headed back. As I walked down the aisle, Keli and the chaplain were up front getting ready to start the first song.

After the singing, the chaplain gave his sermon. Then he called us up for the hymns. I announced Church in the Wildwood, but there was no slide for it. So we did We Are One, and then picked a second of Softly and Tenderly. The chaplain apologized for not having the slide ready. I chatted with Rick and John. People left. Finally I walked out with John.

When I got home, I read a bit, then changed clothes. There was a gopher in one trap so I threw out the gopher and reset the trap in a different hole. I went back to reading. Michelle texted that she needed to kill a gopher, so I took a 5-gallon water jug and went over to her house. We used the jug and the hose on the most recent activity and got nowhere. But maybe it drowned. Then we sat outside and talked for awhile. I went home and made a carrot salad. I listened to Dr. Phil interview RFK jr. I like a lot of what he says. I don't agree with everything but at least I think he says what he believes, unlike those who say whatever will get them elected.

I worked on my blog. I mended some wash cloths by sewing them together. I read some articles. I pulled out the strawberries to eat, but they were moldy. I threw them in the compost. Michelle came over and we went through all the boxes and plastic bags and packing material and put it in the trash and recycling.

I listened to part of a podcast. I watched two episodes of Call the Midwife. My hands didn't hurt so I laid in the recliner thinking I could easily fall asleep, but my left leg decided to get RLS. I took a homeopathic remedy for it, which worked last time, but was not effective enough this time. So I went to bed.

Stung!

Saturday

I woke up early and tried to go back to sleep. But there was too much to do. I got up and dressed. I took supplements, etc. I watered the plants outside and reset the traps. I set the sprinkler for a spot at the front of the lawn. I took time to read some messages, then went to the garden to check irrigation and to pull up some of the mint that is taking over.

However, as I grabbed a handful, I felt the worst, sharpest stinging sensation ever in my right hand. It hurt so badly that I quit and got in the car to go home. However, I could not resist going by the post office on my way home to get the mail. I showed it to the clerk and she said to put hydrogen peroxide on it.

When I got home, I washed my hands with soap and water, then put colloidal silver on it. It still hurt but not as badly. There was a white ring around the site. But no stinger. I read e-mail for awhile, then took a shower. Afterward, I made breakfast and ate it while reading messages and articles.

I vacuumed around my laptop area. Then I used the carpet shampooer to get out some spots. I swept and mopped the kitchen. Then I gathered the materials for class. I made templates for the pieces. I made some alternate measurements for smaller or larger flags. Then I went to the chapel to turn on the lights and set up the machines.

Saronna came with her kids. I showed them how to make the flag and three of them did. Sophia sewed hers to a white shirt. Wilhelm also brought a white shirt and I sewed it on for him. Moira did not like the shirt she brought so she just made the flag. For some reason, we had lots of thread problems.

They left at 4 and I neatened up, then went home. I called Michelle to meet me at the pool. Then I put on my suit and went over. I started swimming laps till she got there. Then she told me all about her work. We were still talking when my hour was up, so I stayed another 20 minutes, still treading water. Finally I said I had to leave and we both went home.

It was 6pm. I made a green salad and then some egg salad. Then it was time to leave. I went back to the chapel for Project Night. The kids were waiting. I unlocked the chapel and we went in. Sophia wanted to finish her project from last time. She finished two of the three while I talked to MeryAnn. I wanted to help MeryAnn with her project, but my hands hurt too much. Sophia left when she couldn't find the third seatbelt pillow.

I stayed to chat and watch MeryAnn sew. Then Jenni came over to get my help filling out some paperwork. MeryAnn packed everything up and we walked out to the parking lot. We chatted some more, then went home. I looked through the last project leftovers and found Sophia's third project.

I watched some videos on vagus nerve exercises. I ate frozen watermelon for my hands. I worked on my blog. I got ready for bed, then relaxed in the recliner while Tibetan music played from my laptop. I fell asleep, and then woke up and went to bed.
